And because of the bountiful provision that the land produced, Allah promised them if they showed gratitude to him, and to him that he would forgive them and have mercy on them. Hence, he said bountiful is your land and oft forgiving is your Lord because Allah knew that for their trade and livelihood, they allow you to reach a blessed land. And Allah says, between them and the cities, which we had blessed we placed a chain of towns within within sight of one another. And we made the
distances between them convenient for the travelers, that is distances, that they knew well and could plan their journeys accordingly, so that they would not lose their way travel through them by night and day and safety that is safe and secure during those nights and days not feeling anything. This was part of the perfect blessing that Allah bestowed upon them, which is that he made them safer from fear. But they turned away from the bestower of those blessings and from worshiping Him alone, and they took the blessings of the blessing for granted and got bored of it, to the extent that they wished that the distances between those towns between which traveling was so easy would be
longer, and they run themselves thereby by by just believing in Allah and being ungrateful for his blessings. Hence, Allah subhanaw taala punished them by taking away and destroying the blessing that had made them arrogant. He sent against them a severe flood that destroyed their dam and ruin their gardens. And so Allah has blessed him with all of this rather than showing Allah gratitude, praising Allah subhanaw taala asking Allah azza wa jal for the increase using the good in ways that are pleasing to Allah azza wa jal, what do they do? They make dua and they say, Oh Allah, we don't like this. Give to us a place where the distances between our towns are longer and further away. And so
they start to make dua against themselves against the blessings that Allah bestowed upon them against the gardens that Allah has bestowed upon them. And so they start making dua against all of these things, and that shows the level of ingratitude and disbelief of Allah azza wa jal to give someone something, not only do we ignore it or not use it in a way that is pleasing to Allah, you do the very opposite and ask Allah that Allah takes it away and replaces it with something that is worse. And those gardens that had been filled with beautiful plants and fruit bearing trees were destroyed and replaced with the trees in which there was no benefit. Allah says and replaced their
two gardens with two other yielding better fruit. That is something that produced a little food that was not sufficient to meet their needs,
and time and risks, and few wild luxuries. All of those all of these aren't well known trees that match the misdeeds. So Allah Azza took away all of the good and replaced it with other types of fruit and trees that wouldn't give them much benefit wouldn't give them much to eat and to drink from and so on. They became an example and a proverb whereby people would say they scattered like sever, and everyone will talk about what happened to them. But no one, no one learned a lesson from them except that those whom Allah referred to when he said, Surely in that there was, there are signs for every steadfastly
patient and deeply think thankful person who bears with patients the hardships and difficulties that he injures for the sake of Allah, and does not show discontent. Rather, he bears it with patients and grateful gratefully acknowledges the blessings of Allah subhanaw taala, praising the one who bestowed to them and use them in obedience to Him. If such a person hears their story, how they acted and what happened to them, he realizes that this punishment was required or for their ingratitude for Allah's blessings, and that whoever acts like them will meet the same fate. And he will realize that gratitude to Allah subhanaw taala protects the blessings and words of the
punishment, and that the messengers of Allah told the truth, and that the require is true, as he has seen examples of it in,
in this world, then Allah tells us that the people of Sabah were among those concerning whom, or at least found his expectations to be correct. When he said to his word, by your mind, I will certainly mislead them or accept your chosen insincere slaves among them.
This expectation on the part of iblees was not certain knowledge, because he did not know the unseen and no news had come to him from Allah, that he would mislead them or with some expectations, what is the expectation of iblees expectation that he said at the beginning of time, and the time the money sent him, he said, Oh, Allah, all of your Grecian, all of mankind, I can recite. None of them are sincere except for the few from amongst them. So his expectation is that everyone will be misguided except for the very few that are sincerely telling to Allah azza wa jal, Allah subhanaw taala says that when he came to these people of Sabah, his expectation was correct, because they
followed him in that way. So calling upon them may be of benefit because as a sovereign needs their help, they could meet the needs of those who are
connected to Islam, to work connected to them. But Allah subhanaw taala rose out this idea of them being helpers, or advisors, as he says, nor is any of them, that is objects of worship a helper to Allah subhanaw taala, the one the sub joueur, that is, none of them is a supporter or advisor who helps him in ruling and controlling the affairs of the universe. So there is so there is nothing left but the idea of intercession which Allah rose out by saying, no intercession will be of any avail before him, because that for those for whom He permits intercession, these are the reasons why the policies are attached to their rivals and idols, be they humans, trees or anything else. So
Allah explained that these reasons are baseless, so as to leave no excuse or argument for believing in description of partners team, and so as to rule out the idea completely completely.
