upon our Prophet and our messengers of Allah Allah He will send them
that when Allah subhanho wa Taala first created paradise.
He told the angel jabril alehissalaam to go and look at paradise. And so gibreel went and he saw paradise, he saw the beauty of paradise. He saw the blessings contained within paradise, he smelt the fragrance of paradise. And after witnessing the beauty that Allah azza wa jal has placed within paradise, the different blessings that cannot be enumerated low can they be described as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said in a different Hadith, that which is in paradise no AI has ever seen, no ear has ever heard, a no heart can ever imagine. After having witnessed all that, he came back to Allah subhanho wa Taala. And Allah asked him, What do you think of paradise? And he replied,
I don't think anyone will hear of it, except that he will enter it. And then a large village will ordered him to go and look at the fire of *. And so gibreel went and he saw it, all of its punishment, all of its terrors. All of the horrible things that will happen within the fire of this torment of Allah, the Rasul of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And those people that will enter it, one of the issues that go on in the fire of *. And then he went back to Allah subhanho wa Taala. And Allah asked him what he thought of hellfire. And he replied, oh, well, I don't think anyone will hear of it, except that he will flee from it has run away. No one in the same mind would want to go
towards such a thing. No one in the same mind, sane mind would want to step closer to such a thing. So then Allah azza wa jal ordered that power dice be surrounded by hardship and difficulty, things which the soul despises things which the soul doesn't naturally want to do unlike and he ordered the fire the fire of * be surrounded by temptations, and desires and those things that I was sold naturally inclined towards.
I then he said to jabril, Allah His Salaam now go back and look at paradise. And so gibreel seeing the different hardships and difficulties surrounding it, he came back and he said, Oh Allah, I don't think anyone will be able to enter into paradise. And then he went, and he saw the temptations and desires surrounding the fire of *. And he came back and he said, Oh Allah, I don't think anyone will be saved from the fire of *, not because of what they are in and of themselves, not because of what paradise contains, and what the fire of * contains. Because on his first trip, he said, on his Salaam, that no one will hear a paradise except he will enter it, no one will hear of the
fire except to free from it. But because of the things that surround it, because of the paths that lead to each one, and because of those paths, and because of what surrounds the paradise and the fire of *, he thought that no one would enter into paradise and no one will be able to free from the fire. No one will gain safety from the fire, except those that Allah azza wa jal has mercy upon.
This Hadith is an amazing Hadith. And even though it speaks about the concept of the fire of *, and the concept of Paradise, the concept of the reward of Allah and the punishment of Allah, we can relate to every single thing that we have to do as Muslims, every single obligation that Allah has placed upon us, and every single prohibition that Allah azza wa jal has placed upon us, that which we need to do and that which we need to stay away from. We can relate this Hadeeth to each and every single thing, whether for example is praying the five daily prayers or even the new one says
Salah whether or is for example waking up for Salah to fudger in the morning, whether it is making widow, whether is having to take a hostel at certain times depending upon your state, whether it is going to the masjid to play solid through Joomla, and so on, even the small minute shape of these issues, we can apply this Hadeeth to, and then you have Zika and you have fasting and you have Hajj and you have all of the other things. All of these things have some natural difficulty associated with them. However, the important point to note is that none of them are beyond our capability. None of them are things that would take us out of our comfort zone, meaning things that we can't bear
naturally. And from the nature of things is that there is some effort involved in everything. You can't eat unless you cook and cooking takes effort, it takes time. It takes a certain amount of effort and time and, and difficulty in order to get that food going shopping takes time. And most of us probably the brothers don't like shopping. But it takes time and there's some difficulty involved in it. And so everything has some difficulty, which is intrinsic to it. And so likewise these actions that Allah has obligated upon us have that natural type of difficulty, but because our souls and because of shape pounds, temptations and whisperings, we normally free from these things, and
they become heavier upon us. And they are like burdens upon us. And because of this Jubilee law, he said, I'm saying that I don't think anyone will be entered will be able to enter into paradise. And this brings us on to another hadith of our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Because when we look, and we really go down to the crux of the issue, when we look at all of these issues, the prayer, the zurka, Salas, Yom Hajj, everything that Allah has ordered us with. At the end of the day, this is a transaction between us and Allah. Nothing is free, right? You often hear this people say this about the dunya nothing's free in life. No one's going to come tomorrow and give you a
million pounds. It's not the way things work. No one's going to come tomorrow and make you the CEO of a big multinational company. This isn't the thing, the way things work, you don't get things for free. You work for them. You study you strive. In order to get that nice car or that bigger house you have to work and strive in order to achieve them. So this Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam speaks about that which Allah is selling. Now that which businessmen are selling, now that which your local supermarket is selling, now that which is your job, and you'll get money for what Allah azza wa jal is selling. And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam described it as a
commodity. He described it as a product. And he said Allah insha Allah tala hollier. Indeed, the product that Allah is selling is expensive. What Allah is selling is expensive. What is it that Allah is selling?
Allah insha Allah tala his agenda, in direct which Allah is selling the product that Allah is displaying and selling is Jenna, is paradise. It is nothing less than the pleasure of Allah, and the mercy of Allah, and the forgiveness of Allah and the kindness of Allah subhanho wa Taala. It is nothing less than Jana, with all of its blessings, and all of its beautiful things and all of the things that Allah has placed within it, to the extent that the person that will have the least reward, the least reward, the lowest level of person in Jannah, will have the likes of the dunya and 10 times over the likes of the dunya and 10 times over and from the mercy of Allah subhanho wa
Taala. Because the blessings of Jannah are complete. No one goes into jhana thinking that they've been shortchanged. No one goes into jhana with jealousy, and enmity and hatred. No one goes in thinking, Oh, he's got a nicer palace than me. Or that person's got a nicer wife than me or this or that. Everyone goes in with contentment, everyone goes in feeling that they are the best. So even though this person is the least in terms of levels in Jannah, he has the least reward in Jannah. He is the last individual to enter into jhana. Even though this is all true about him, he will have the dunya and 10 times it's like and when he enters into Jannah he will believe that there is no one
better than him.
There are hundreds 1000s of people, millions of people above him in rank and station closer to Allah with greater blessings that Allah has bestowed upon them closer to the station of the prophets and the martyrs and so on. Yet even so, from the mercy of Allah and from the complete wisdom of Allah and the complete justice of Allah and
From the completeness and perfection of the blessings of Paradise, is that this person won't think that there is anyone better than him.
So this is what a lot is sending a
lot is sending paradise. And as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Paradise is not cheap, Paradise is expensive. Allah in the silat Allah He olalia Allah in the silica la Jana, indeed the product or Allah is selling, it is expensive. And indeed the product that Allah is selling is paradise. And so now when we look at these, a hadith of our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and then we look at that which Allah has obligated upon us, does anyone here in the right mind actually believe or think that they will simply enter into paradise simply by taking the Shahada that it will be just as easy as that they can call themselves a Muslim, or have a Muslim name, and they will
automatically enter into paradise without striving and struggling and so on, without performing any actions? Allah subhanho wa Taala says in the Quran at the beginning of surah to Lanka booth, a has he been nasil a youth Raku
afternoon, do the people believe that they will simply be left alone once they say we believe we believe in Allah we believe in the Quran we believe in the prophets of Salaam we believe in Islam do they think that they will just be left alone and they won't be tried and tested? Well apart for tunnel Levine I mean probably him and have a shorty we tested those who came before them. Fela Alamin Allahu la Vina Sadako while elemental kvb in and of a shorty Allah King to know Allah knew those who are truthful, and those who are liars. Um, has he been levina Yama, Luna say it is the owner, sir. comun? Or do those who commit evil and sin, disobey Allah? Do they think that they will
simply be left alone to carry on? That Allah will forget them? That Allah doesn't know he'll overlook them? Sir, Mr. Moon, how evil is that which they judge? how evil is that which they think? And so Allah subhana wa Taala clearly shows us where in order for us to gain this product of Allah, then we need to strive. And we need to show effort. And we need to do those things which are not always pleasing to us. Just as many of us have jobs that we don't like, that we don't enjoy. But we go every single day without fail. Why? Because we get paid. That's the way we earn our living. And even though we don't enjoy the job, that job probably depresses us. If anything, we will still go.
And yes, we will complain. Yes, we will say we're looking for another job. Yes, we're going to say we're going to quit. But the vast majority of people will carry on going every single day,
every single day. And so we do things in our lives that we don't like things that are depressing to us things that we would rather not do. But we do them because we can see some wisdom in it. We can see some end gain some benefit to be achieved. So then how about achieving the greatest thing that a person can the reward of Allah subhanho wa Taala gaining the pleasure that Allah azza wa jal has given to those people that he loves and is pleased with. How about attaining this, the product Allah is selling, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in this hadith uses the word Ceylon, which means product, something which you sell a new buy. So it is a transaction that we are making with
Allah. It's not simply and maybe inshallah Allah will forgive us for our sins, and it is through the mercy of Allah that we will enter into paradise in sha Allah, but it is still a purchase, it is still buying and selling a transaction. And I will part of the transaction. Our deal on our side is that we obey Allah and we stay away from that which Allah has prohibited, and we lead our lives according to the book of Allah and the Sunnah of our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we do our utmost to stick to the shutdown. That's our part of the bargain. That means praying. That means giving data, that means fasting, that means making hunch. That means respecting your parents, being
good to your neighbors and your guests and everything else in Islam. That's our part of the bargain. And when Allah azza wa jal sees someone that is sincere in that, even though he has sins, like the mountains, and as vast as the ocean, and he sins by day and by night, than a large the original will forgive such people due to their sincerity, and due to their repentance and seeking forgiveness from Allah subhanho wa Taala.
So when it comes to these kinds of issues, like we're discussing today, abandoning the prayer, those people that are abandoned the prayer and there are many Muslims who don't
Pray. And it's not because they don't believe that it's not a part of Islam, or because they believe that it's not obligatory, or because they believe that they don't have to do it. Most likely they do it out of a weakness of a man, or out of laziness, or because they can't be bothered, or because the temptation of shapen and, and the whisperings of shaitan are too strong for them. And so they're overcome by shape man and his whisperings and his temptations and desires. This is the case with the vast majority of Muslims. But the reason why they fall into this is because they have lost sight of the end goal. Because for them, it is just about to dunya about working about getting a well paid
job, and a nice car and a nice house and going on holiday every year and living luxurious life, having a nice widescreen TV and so on. That's all they look at. And they have forgotten the ultimate product, the ultimate thing, the ultimate goal, the ultimate objective that we should try to achieve. And that is that which Allah is selling. Now that with your local estate agent, or your local dealer, car dealer, there is our local electronics shop now what they are selling, but rather what Allah is selling the product or Allah is selling, and because they've lost sight of this, that's why they abandon the prayer. That's why they don't give Zucker. That's why they don't fast
and they don't want to make Hajj until probably when they're 60 or 70. But when you look at the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and you look at the companions, radi Allahu anhu, munch Marine, never once did they lose sight of this goal. The product that Allah is selling, never once did they stop pulling payment down in order to buy that product of Allah. Just as you pay installments to pay off your house, or your car, or whatever it is that you do, just as you pay, or you save, or you go into debt simply to buy what you want. Never did the companions never did a single day pass by, except that they continue to make those payments, those installments so that the day would come when
they could buy the product of Allah subhana wa Taala. And when you understand this, you find that you see the lives of the companions in a different light, when they were attached to the prayer, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam himself and his attachment to the prayer. And if anyone would enter Paradise, without any striving or struggling or effort, it would have been the most beloved creation of Allah to Allah, our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, but he strove, and he struggled, and his efforts were more than anyone else. He had it harder than anyone else.
Get he had this goal in mind. And it is because of this goal. And because of this product of Allah, that he wanted sun Allahu Allah, and he will sell them, that he would seek comfort in the prayer. Instead of feeling that it's a burden, instead of feeling that it's difficult. Instead of running away and making excuses, he would run towards the prayer. And that's why you all know the famous Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that if he was depressed or swallowed by something, he would run towards the prayer. If he was not feeling good on a day, he would say to Bilal eration, Abu Salah, let us seek comfort and peace and tranquility in the prayer. And this was
the attachment that they had with the prayer, because they saw that it was not only a means of achieving the end goal, but it's one of the only times in the dunya. When you have a conversation with Allah, from the greatest blessings of Allah azza wa jal and Yama, Yama for those people that enter Paradise. The greatest blessing that those people will receive is that they will be able to see the face of Allah, even those people that have the highest levels of Jannah. Those people who are in fear the dose under the throne of Allah in the middle highest part of Jana, even those people
and in Jannah, even though they have it best for them, when they see Allah that will be a blessing far greater than any other blessing, let alone for everyone else. There is no blessing in Power BI is greater than being able to see the face of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And so a large Virgil has made it the greatest blessing in Jenna, to see him and to speak with him and to have a conversation with your Lord subhanho wa Taala. So then in the dunya, Allah azza wa jal has also given us a snippet of this has given us a way in which we can converse with him. We can't see him in this dunya but we can have a conversation with him. And that conversation is through the prayer. As the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, in a famous Hadith, in the hadith of bootsy, that Allah azza wa jal says, For some to salata, benei ouabain Abdi I have divided the prayer into two
Half of it is for me and half of it is for my servant. Every time you face Allah and you stand and you say Allahu Akbar and you face that problem, and you enter into Salah automatically you are in conversation with Allah, Allah azza wa jal is watching you, Allah azza wa jal is conversing with you, Allah azza wa jal is listening to you. And that's why the Hadith goes on. The when the person begins the prayer and they say Al hamdu, lillahi Rabbil alameen All praises due to Allah, Lord of the worlds Allah responds, he's having a conversation with you. And he says, and he replies that my servant has praised me. He has glorified me. And then you say R Rahman r Rahim, Maliki or me Dean.
And again Allah says, My servant has praised me. He has glorified me Allah is responding to what you're saying. Allah is responding to recitation. And then you say yada yada canister in our law or law alone have you do we seek help? And your assistance to be alone seek you alone we worship and You help alone do we seek? And then Allah says have you had the will the Abdi Marcel, this is for my servant, and for myself for my servant is that which he wishes spamela accom conversation with Allah and Allah will not tire from you until you tire from Allah. Allah will not turn away, he won't become tired, you won't become fed up, he won't run away. He won't take a break. He won't get bored
until you become bored and you become tired and you turn away and that's why Allah will continue listening to you to your the hours and show us cloud until recitation of the Quran and he will continue giving you his entire attention subhanahu wa taala until you say a salaam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa salam aleikum wa rahmatullah when you look right and left are no longer do you look straight to Allah, that is when Allah will turn away, but you are the one who initiated You were the one who turned away first, not Allah. Allah will remain so long as you remain. And that's why the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and the companions and the great scholars of Islam, one of the
things that they would seek solace from, one of the things that they enjoyed more than anything else in this world, was to emulate the huddle, the night prayer, because this is a time when everyone else is asleep. All of the world is asleep. Everyone's in bed. Everyone's resting, and only those that have that special connection with Allah and that yearning and longing and desire to speak with Allah. Only those people stand and fight their conditions and desires. As Allah Subhana Allah says in the Quran, that Jaffa Zhu boom, Anil Maharaja, the owner of the home, hold on wautoma mommy Madison Avenue, and these are the people who have a baton, they struggle and strive with their
mattresses with their beds. Why? Because they want to call upon Allah in hope and in fear, and they spend from that which Allah has provided them. So these are the people who in the dead of the night, when everyone else is asleep, they will stand our time and there's no restriction. There's no work, there's no family, there's no distractions, no restrictions in time, no constraints upon your schedule, they will stand in front of Allah, and they will continue to pray. For as long as Allah wills the last third of the night, an hour, two hours, three hours, reciting the Quran, making long record and long search the crying to Allah making dua making Vicar because now is the time that they
have this connection. And that's why I wish I was amazed at the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that he would do this every night to the extent that he would cry so profusely and his feet would become swollen. But the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam sought solace in the prayer. for him. It wasn't a struggle, it wasn't a burden. For him, it was enjoyment. It was love that he enjoyed having the special time alone with Allah subhanho wa Taala. And that's why it's famous to report it on a number of companions. But on the Allahu anhu mage Marine, when they were about to die, they said that one of the things that they would miss from this world was standing in the middle of the night
to pray Subhan Allah
what would we miss from this world?
Is our cause is our houses, what is it that we would miss the companions one of the things that they would miss, and they would say upon their deathbed, that I wouldn't want to die for this reason, because I would miss standing in front of Allah in the middle of the night, not the five obligatory prayers that goes without saying, This is the next level up. This is coming closer to Allah by performing optional deeds, coming closer to Allah subhanho wa Taala through your own optional, striving and struggling, not that which Allah has made obligatory upon you, you don't have a choice in the end.
Taking the extra step to come closer to Allah subhanho wa Taala and that's why Allah azza wa jal praises these people in the Quran, and he just praises those people who abandon the prayer. He praises those who pray, and he despises and humiliate those people who don't pray. Allah subhanho wa Taala says in the Quran, describing those people that is pleased with Enlil mousseline, except for those who pray, these are the people that Allah is praising. These are the people that Allah has given salvation to Allah Vina whom Allah Salah to him, the E moon, those who are constant and consistent on their prayers. Never do they miss a prayer. Never do they leave have a single prayer.
We're not talking about abandoning the prayer in totality. For years upon end for months upon end, we're talking and speaking about not missing a single prayer, not being late for a single prayer. They are constant in their prayers. And from that which Allah azza wa jal
will speak about a normal piano is those people who because they didn't prostrate in the dunya, Allah will not allow them to prostrate a normal piano. And that will be a day where no matter whatever a person believed, no matter how little they, they, they wanted to play in the dunya. No matter how much of a burden they consider the prayer to be a normal piano, every single person will wish and hold along to make that symbol such that in front of Allah, simply so that they can gain some of the pleasure of Allah and the mercy of Allah and that day yoma yaksha ransack the day that Allah will reveal his shin to creation, his thigh will be revealed to all of creation yoma yaksha
for answers in were you the owner illa suju, the fella stop the room and they will be called to prostrate in the magnificence of Allah, out of the majesty of Allah subhanho wa Taala. But they will not be able to have a turn of sorrow home or home Villa, their eyes will be downcast on that day. They won't even dare to look up and to look straight at Allah to look up to where Allah is. And they will have humility upon them. That will be the cloak and veil on normal to Yama, humility and humbleness. Those people who in this dunya would not humble themselves in front of Allah by prostrating by touching their foreheads on the ground. Allah on that day will make them downcast and
he will make them humiliated, but not in a way that is befitting of the believers. Harsha at an absorber home takahama Zilla what can you do in a pseudo diva home sunny moon and these are those people who in the dunya was they were healthy and they will fit they will used to be called to make the soldier but they refused. Allah would order them to pray, but they refuse to make a surgeon and Subhana Allah how many Muslims do we know that don't make a single such that to allow before they die? Rarely do they need to search the infant of Allah. rarely have they placed their forehead upon the ground, out of humbleness and humility to Allah subhanho wa Taala. And on yarmulke, Yama Allah
will not allow them the honor of prostrating in front of him. They will be prevented from prostrating they will be prevented from prostrating in front of Allah subhanho wa Taala
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in his Sunnah. He spoke about so many different aspects of the prayer. And what we mentioned at the beginning, the special connection is only one aspect of the prayer. One benefit of the prayer one reason why we rush towards the prayer, but there are many other things that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam mentioned in his Sunnah. And it is sufficient to say that one of the last pieces of advice that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam left for his oma was the prayer on his deathbed son Allah, where are they he will sell them when he was about to leave this world. There were so many things that he could have spoken about. The the
Persians and the Romans were wanting to attack Islam. They were hypocrites within Medina, there was going to be turmoil after the death of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And the Prophet also knew he was going to die. He knew that he was on his deathbed in his final illness, he could have advised Abu Bakar and among other companions, about the philosopher who is to become the leader after him, he could have advised them about the invading armies, the Persians and the Romans. He could have advised them about the hypocrites, he could have said so many things. sallallahu alayhi wasallam but he chose to remind his oma about the prayer, a Salah or Salah, why malakut a man, the
prayer, the prayer, and that which you are responsible over. These are the two things that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam reminded us of the prayer, the prayer, and this is because in another Hadith, the Prophet sallallahu
And he will sell them said, as his report in October, Ronnie, that the first thing that a person will be held to account for a normal piano is the prayer. And the fear is correct. If he is successful in it, then everything which follows will be successful. And if he fails in this, that he will fail in everything else. Subhan Allah
The first thing that we will be held to account for a normal, Yama will be the prayer and that's why it was the last thing that the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam advised us with, because if that fails, everything else fails. But if that is correct, am I successful in it? Then everything which follows will be easier in sha Allah and Allah azza wa jal will forgive us for our oversights. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said in another Hadith,
what do you think of a person who outside of his door every single day he has a running weather? And he goes and he bathes in this river five times a day? Do you think that he will have any impurity remaining on his body? They said no messenger of Allah. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, this is the example of the one who prays five times a day. That person makes widow and they pray five times a day. Allah azza wa jal is washing away this since it is like the person who beads five times a day, and most people bathe at maximum once a day. Imagine bathing five times a day, how pure you will be in the sight of Allah subhanho wa Taala the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
said in another Hadith, Whosoever prays the fudger prayer will be in the protection of Allah, simply by paying, praying this one prayer, they will be in the protection of Allah. And on the reverse. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Whosoever misses the hassle of prayer than all of his, all of his deeds will be rendered null and void. Praying one prayer gives you the protection of Allah and missing another prayer will make all of your deeds null and void. And Subhana Allah a person will come and they will have many deeds that they think will benefit them, they will have good character, and they will have good relations with their family, and maybe they will respectful for
to their parents. Maybe they even even gave in charity and so on. But they never pray to Allah never once did they prostrate in front of Allah. And as for everything else, most of it was part of their nature, some of it they worked for, but that will not benefit them on your willpower Yama if they don't have prayer, and that's why it's amazing when you see people fasting in the month of Ramadan that don't pray. They fast the 30 days, but they don't pray in Ramadan, and outside of Ramadan. What kind of a fast is it that you fast when you don't even pray to Allah subhana wa Taala and you leave that which is more important, and you go into something which is less important. The Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, in another Hadith, the five prayers and from one gem or to another Juma all of the minus sins in between these prayers are forgiven by Allah. When you pray, fudger and then you pray for everything in between is forgiven every minor sin, so long as you don't commit a major sin. And then everything between the horrid hustle and acid and Muslim and Maghreb and Russia, and he continues to work like this. And then from one Friday prayer at the gym, I prayer until the next one, all of your minor sins are forgiven by Allah. And that's why when a person comes to pray, they have this attentiveness. They come and they pray to Allah subhanho wa Taala. And they have
their concentration so they can receive the benefits of this prayer. So it's not just a physical verbal exercise, but that they come close to Allah subhanho wa Taala.
In another Hadith, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam spoke about protection from the fire. And he said, Whosoever prays the fudger prayer, and whosoever prays the us in prayer, then the fire will never touch him. And these two prayers are the most important prayers, the fudger prayer and the apostle prayer. And another Hadith the prophet SAW Allah What are they He will send them said, Indeed,
the criterion between a person and disbelief is the prayer. Whosoever leaves it has disbelieved. Whosoever leaves it has disbelieved. The difference between us and then on Muslims. What takes you inside and outside of the fold of Islam is the prayer. Whosoever leaves it has disbelieved. And when you look at the story of Abu Bakar, or the alarm one who fought those people that refused to pay this attack, he fought people who refused to pay this account, and he said trauma and other companions By Allah, I will fight the one who differentiates between the prayer and zetta meaning even though they pray
But they don't pay soccer, I will fight them until they give me the soccer. That was for the soccer. And by ismar and consensus of the Muslims, the soccer is less important than the prayer, as the Prophet also himself said that the prayer is the main pillar of this religion. So it first occurred the likes of Abu Bakar, on Omar on Horace Mann and Ali, and one of the major companions are ready to go to war and fight those people. Because they left something less important than what about if the people of that time or any time had left the prayer.
Imagine how the companions would have reacted to such a phenomenon, that there are Muslims that don't pray, Muslims that don't pray, they would go and fight and kill people for not paying their soccer. And soccer is something you only give if you're able to only the wealthy give, it's not even obligatory upon the poor. And it's something which you do once you attain so many different conditions a year passes over your wealth and you reached a minimum level and so on. The Prayer is something so standard, something that everyone more or less is obliged to do something whether you're ill, or you're traveling, or whatever your case may be, you still have to pray, unless you
insane or something and you don't actually have your mind about you. More or less every other condition you have to pray, except for one or two exceptions. So imagine how the companions would have reacted to those people that didn't pray. And this is why Abdullah bin Shakti Rahim, Allah says one of the students of the companions, one of the tab you're in, he said, that the companions of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam. They never considered anything, leaving of any act to be disbelief other than the prayer. There was no act that a person left and they will automatically become a disbeliever. Other than the prayer. This is the way that the companions of the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam viewed the prayer, Ali, Vitali Brody Allahu anhu said, Whosoever leaves a single prayer on purpose, then Allah is free from him, and he is free from Allah. And one of the amazing things that you find, when you look at the statements of many of the companions, and many of the tab you're in, there was so peculiar to them. It was so unthinkable and imaginable to them that a person would leave even a single prayer. And many of the statements revolve around just missing one prayer. Forget about abandoning the prayer, that's like something unheard of just leaving one prayer was sufficient for them to say these statements, this was the most that they could anticipate
that a person may be, would leave one prayer. And even so that person will be freed from Allah and Allah will be free from them. And that's why many of the scholars even hold the opinion that if a person refused to pay even out of laziness, not because he believes in the institution of Salah, not because he doesn't think it's obligatory just out of laziness. Even such a person would be a disbeliever. It wasn't imaginable to them. It was unthinkable to them. And that's why Mohammed Rahim, Allah has a famous statement that if you just miss a prayer, you will laze you forgot, you missed a prayer, and the prayer, the next prayer, the time of the next prayer came in. So if you
missed us, and the time a Muslim came in, then you will be treated as a disbeliever, meaning you will be asked to enter into Islam again. The Muslim ruler should ask you to enter into Islam again, just missing a single prayer. Whatever the reason, because he was so unthinkable to them, that a person will leave one prayer. And they obviously lived in a time of piety and righteousness. Never did they think that our time would come upon the Muslims, when millions of them will just abandon the prayer completely and totally. And the view that would remain would be the minority. The people that actually pray five times a day would be the minority of the Muslims are not the majority of
delighted Massoud or the Allahu anhu said, Whosoever leaves the prayer, he has no religion left. If you leave the prayer, there's nothing left after that. What kind of Muslim has anything left after the prayer? What are you going to do to please Allah after you've left the prayer? What more is there that you can do in your religion? And whatever aloha Tom rhodiola, who and the famous Khalifa he said that no portion of Islam remains for the one who forgets the prayer or he misses the prayer. There is no portion of Islam left for such an individual. Zaid, even Rahim Allah, another scholar, he said that we were sitting with her they for the Allah one, who they felt is one of the greatest
companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he said we were sitting with him in the masjid, and a man entered, and he began to pray in the masjid. But he didn't pray properly, meaning that he didn't make the record properly. He didn't make the sujood properly. When he would bow he wouldn't bow properly and he just come up and when he would go into prostration, he wouldn't stay
properly, he would just sit up, he wouldn't pray properly. And so after he finished her, they called him over, or the alarm went on. And he said, How long have you been praying like this? How long have you been praying like this? And the man said, for 40 years. Now bear in mind, this isn't a man who abandoned the prayer, not a man who didn't pray for a man who didn't pray properly. So five times a day, he prayed for 40 years, he's been praying, but he never prayed properly. And so for the for the Allah one who said, By Allah, if this is the way that you've been praying for 40 years, and if you were to die upon the state, then I don't think that allowed forgive you. I don't think that in the
sight of Allah, you would have anything. If this is the way that you've been praying, even though you've been doing it for 40 years. Imagine praying for john vo her saceur Muslim Russia for 40 years. And none of it counts. Because we don't even know how to pray. We're not even praying correctly. We're not even fulfilling the conditions. And her VEDA is saying and companion of the Prophet on Sunday, if you died in this state, I don't think those 40 years would even count irrespective of praying, and this is a person who prays Then what about the one who's abandoned the prayer? Or Buddha or the Allah who and another companion, he said, there is no Eman, there is no
faith. There is no belief for the one who doesn't pray. And Abdullah Ibn Abbas or the Allahu anhu has said, Whosoever leaves the prayer, then he has disbelieved and nothing at all rahimullah the student of Abdullah ibn Ahmad radi Allahu anhu, ma, he said, where even if a person was to believe in that which Allah revealed, and that which the prophets of Salaam brought meaning the Quran and the Sunnah, but they never prayed, then that person is a disbeliever, that person has committed disbelief. And there's an important point that I want to mention here.
That just because we're mentioning these statements, and these narrations of how the companions considered such people to be disbelievers is incorrect. And it is not right and it is unjust. And it is not our place to go and apply these rulings on individuals. All of us probably know people that don't pray, Muslims, probably our family, our friends, our relatives, our neighbors that don't pray that abandon the prayer for whatever reason, it is not our place. Notice right now we go and apply these rulings on individuals. But they should be made aware of them doesn't mean you don't go and teach them and educate them and you don't want them and you don't advise them and remind them but
you don't go calling people Muslim or non Muslim. That's not something for me and you to do. But what is important that we convey is the severity of the issue and the dangers surrounding this. So nothing said that even if a person believes in the Quran and the Sunnah, but he doesn't pray, then that is disbelief. A Ubisoft tianyi Rahim Allah another famous scholar, he said,
abandoning the prayer is disbelief. There is no difference of opinion in this. There is no difference of opinion amongst the scholars in this alima Hema hula, the famous scholar he said, that a person who abandons the prayer has abandoned his own soul. Because we know in our religion is not just simply about physical nourishment. It's not just simply about breathing and eating and drinking. But as Muslims we need spiritual nourishment, our heart and our soul needs nourishing. And that nourishment comes from the worship of Allah from praying and from making vehicle from reciting the Quran and so on. This is how we nourish our souls. So even opium Rahim Allah is saying that the
one who abandons the prayer has abandoned his soul, and anyone who abandons his soul has left it to destruction.
Just like a person who doesn't eat and doesn't drink is solely going to wither away until they die. They can't live they can't survived without food and drink. Someone that doesn't eat and drink will eventually die, they will wither away, they will become weaker, until eventually they pass away. Likewise, a person who doesn't pray, then he has abandoned his soul. And sooner or later that soul will be destroyed. He is leading into destruction. And he said and from the evil effects of abandoning the prayer is that a person repels the blessings of Allah, those that he has at the present time and those that Allah would have given him in the future. He is refusing the blessings
of Allah subhanho wa Taala and from the evil effects of abandoning the prayer is that a person loses stable status and honor and nobility in the sight of Allah. Such people are not noble in the sight of Allah. These are not the only of Allah These aren't the people that Allah loves and is pleased with. These are the people that Allah azza wa jal praises, nor are they the people that Allah is inclined to have mercy upon. Those people who abandon the prayer and from the evil effects of abandoning the prayer is that a person who will die a horrible death This isn't a person
Who will die in a state of harm or who will die worshipping Allah subhanho wa Taala or who will die in a good state where the people will speak good of him. Such a person is a person who will die an evil death and from the evil effects of abandoning the prayer is that their life will be a miserable life, as Allah subhanho wa Taala says in the Quran, man arada and victory for inner level marysia Tom Vanka whosoever abandons my remembrance, then he will have a treasured wretched and miserable life and abandoning the remnants of Allah is from abandoning the recitation of the Quran and abandoning the prayer and abandoning remembering Allah subhanho wa Taala and so on.
And that's why the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Whosoever abandons just the apostle prayer intentionally, all of his all of his deeds are rendered null and void. Subhan Allah, just abandoning one prayer intentionally, and everything that you've done, is rendered null and void. And this is an authentic hadith classed authentic by Scheffler Burnie Rahim, Allah tala. And there is because of the severity of all of these Hadith, and all of these different verses of the Quran, and all of the statements of the companions, and all of the statements of the scholars, that many scholars were inclined to hold the opinion that whosoever abandons the prayer outright, they don't
believe it's obligatory they don't believe is a part of Islam. They don't believe that they have to pray such a person is the non Muslim. Such a person is a non Muslim, and then they differed over the one who leaves the prayer out of laziness. Is he a Muslim, or non Muslim? Some of them said he's also one on Muslim. As I said, No, he's a Muslim, but he's committing one of the major sins, committing one of the biggest sins that he could commit. And again, the point here isn't to go and paste rulings upon people's foreheads. It's not about calling people and categorizing them. But the point is to know our religion, to know the severity of the issue. And because it's something which
we always hear about the prayer, the prayer, the prayer, because it's something so common to us, because it's probably one of the first things that we ever learned as children. For those of us that were born as Muslims, one of the first things that our parents taught us was how to pray, it's become so commonplace, and it's become like such a normal habits like eating and drinking, that we don't think that there's any importance attached to it. But in the sight of Allah subhanho wa Taala, it is one of the greatest deeds and is one of the most honorable deeds. And the prayer is amazing in the sense that it comprises not only of the physical actions of prayer, of standing and bowing and
prostrating, pray comprises the recitation of the Quran, which in and of itself, is a great act and a great deed. And it comprises of DHA, which in and of itself is a great deed, and it comprises of liquor, which in and of itself is a great deed, and it comprises of brotherhood and unity, which in and of itself is a great deed and so on. So many things become combined. And that's why the prayer is unique in the sense that there is a prayer more or less for every occasion, on read, you pray. If someone dies, you pray, if there's an eclipse, you pray, if you want rain, you pray, if you want help making a choice, you pray, so many issues, we pray, because this is the cornerstone of our
religion, to turn to Allah subhanho wa Taala. So ask Allah subhana wa Taala by his most beautiful names and his most lofty attributes that he makes us from amongst those people who truly appreciate the prayer. And that when we pray, we pray with attentiveness. And we pray with attention and it brings us closer to Allah subhanho wa Taala and ask Allah azza wa jal that he makes us from amongst those people who achieve the benefits of the prayer when they pray to Him subhana wa Tada. ask Allah azza wa jal that he wants his sincerity, and that he wants a certainty and that he gives us the blessings of this life and the next how they will know what are the masala laws? What are the early
your computer's brain what's been known from the new law so that's also the lower audios from a woman while the brother asked, what reasons Can you find for abandoning the prayer?
I don't know what reasons you can find For many, the prayer. But I think what's important to note is that when you have someone that does abandon the prayer, than as our duty as their fellow brothers and sisters in Islam, as their family members, as their relatives, as the neighbors and so on. And it's our duty to remind them and to encourage them to pray or not to believe that they are outcasts are because of the sense that they don't even deserve a good relationship or they don't even deserve good character and good dealing and so on. But rather it is our job to bring them closer. And whatever reason they have whether they do out of laziness, whether they do it because they think
they're too busy, whether they do it for whatever reason, that they may just use to justify it for themselves. And I'm not going to go into the reasons I don't know what the reasons are. But even so it is our duty to help them as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said
Concerning that companion who used to drink alcohol many a time, he kept making alcohol. And he kept being punished. He was lashed for drinking alcohol. And one of the occasions that was bought back to be lashed after drinking alcohol. And this is a companion of the prophet SAW seldom someone that lived in his time and witnessed the revelation of the Quran. But people are weak and they sin as every one of us sins. And the time of the apostle suddenly was no different. And so as he was being lashed one, the companions commented on this, and he said, this is a person who comes back just to get beaten over and over, he said it in a derogatory way. And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi,
wasallam rebuked that companion, and he said, Why does one of you help shape one against his own brother?
Doesn't it make more sense that you help your brother against a pawn? instead of helping shape one against your own brother? And I think this is the rule of thumb, you need to remember across the board, wherever sin and drinking alcohol is obviously a major sin. It is a major sin in the process of selling called omocha is the mother of all evil. But even so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam didn't look at such people as outcasts. Yes, they've sinned. But now we need to bring them back to Allah so that they can repent and they can come back to Allah subhanho wa Taala. And Allah knows best because other brothers asking. One of the reasons or one of the things that people use to
justify not praying is the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu. So ever since La ilaha illa Allah enters into paradise. One of the things that we have to remember is, our religion is not based upon just one Hadith. And in our religion across the board, no matter what it is, whether it's the way you pray, the way you make Hajj, the way you are in your dealings, Zoo manners and so on. It isn't just about one Hadith or one verse of the Quran. as Muslims we take everything collectively, we look at throughout the whole of the Quran, and throughout the whole of the Sunnah. And it's just you just look at one Hadith, and the news, the Hadith, and abandon and and forget everything else as if only
Allah revealed just one Hadith and that's and so when we look at everything, collectively, those people need to be reminded that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam didn't just say that he's the same, the same Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, who said all of these other ahaadeeth that I mentioned, as well. So you can't just take one and abandon the other? Why have you chosen that one and abandon everything else? Why not choose one of the other ones, and forget that one instead? Rather, we need to take Islam collectively as it came in its entire sense.
The Buddha's asking if you paid the 100 prepper you've played with or with your OSHA and what you do in the mind, the Sunnah of our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is that you pray with her at the end. That's the last thing that you pray. And so if a person generally has the routine of praying the 100 that they should and pray with her with Russia, but they should delay until after Russia, they should play until after Russia there is an operation of the processor limb where he did pray with her with Russia and then he woke up and he prayed to rock as after he had made and so the scholars differ over this because there are different Hadith concerning this. And so what the
scholars say is that if you have trade bitter with Russia, then when you wake up in the night What you do is you pray one rocker just one knock on its own, so that the width which was an odd number becomes even if you paint for example, one rocker of widow or three rockers of width or you pray one more to make it 204
Yeah, so now it's even
know and then you pray your 200 and then you pray with her again.
Yeah, so then you pray with that and so you make that previous better you make a chart which means even and then you pray with 100 and then you pray with but the general rule of thumb is that you don't play with it until the end of the night you don't really return until the end of the night. Generally the optional prayers anything which you pray other than obligatory prayers is an optional prayer which is what knuffel means. And so part of the 100 is that you you ask Allah for forgiveness, you asked for last mercy you make to recite the Quran and all of this so all of this is included in the 100 prayer. And so you wouldn't differentiate between this is the Hajj and this is
something else something else you pray all as the angel
you pray all Angel
and then carry on but generally if you know that you have a habit of waking up, then don't pray with don't pray with them.
No, you don't have to.
It's not a condition for that you sleep.
Stay awake.
I think we'll take the final question.
Okay, the praise that you have missed if someone has been paid for many years and that they repented to Allah and then they turn back what should that person do? There is a difference of opinion among scholars inshallah, the stronger opinion is that that person makes tober they repent to Allah, and inshallah Allah will forgive them for that which has passed as the Prophet also them said, October jubu, mahbub Lucha Toba wipes away everything which proceeded before
So that person makes Toba to Allah and they continue to make Toba to a London. They carry on
