Whoever is not well mannered
in his relationship with Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala,
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will patch him up.
Will deal with him under the earth.
My brothers and my sisters,
do we really really
respect the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam?
Do we really, really honor him?
And I'm speaking about us Muslims.
I know you don't insult him.
I know you don't speak ill of him.
But my brothers and my sisters,
are we really well mannered towards our Prophet,
our Messenger, Muhammad
What am I referring to?
Our Messenger sallallahu alaihi wasallam,
he told us to do many things.
There would be times where he would put
emphasis on some of the things that Allah
commanded the Muslims.
He would teach us,
he would advise us further.
For example the salah.
Allah told us to establish the prayer.
Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam told us to go
and do it.
But why is it my brothers and my
sisters,
that when
the time comes to fulfill some of these
commandments,
we are busy doing everything else other than
what
the Messenger sallallahu alaihi wa sallam told us.
I can stand here and hold a banner,
all day long claiming that I love that
Messenger sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
But my brothers and my sisters, do I
really love the Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam? What
does it actually entail to love it?
Allah Azawajal,
He tells us in the Quran,
If you really love Allah then follow
me.
Imam Ahmad
called this verse the verse of examination.
Put yourself to the test.
When somebody comes and insults the the messenger
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, we become upset, right?
Or when somebody now insults Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala,
tables start being flipped.
There is bloodshed in certain parts of the
world.
Allah and his messenger are very dear to
us.
Let's put ourselves to the test now.
When the goes off,
Something that the messenger strongly
encouraged us to carry out, and that is
the salah the moment we hear the adhan.
The azan is going off.
Ask yourself what does Allahu Akbar mean?
It means Allah is the greatest right?
If somebody said Allah is not the greatest,
what would our reaction be?
We might say it with our tongues but
are we actually saying it
with our limbs?
As they say, right? Actions speak louder than
words.
Remember my brothers and my sisters,
when the commandment of Allah or his messenger
arrives
at its time
for that which we need to carry out
and we don't
we are indirectly saying
that Allah is not the greatest.
When you're watching that football game
of Cristiano Ronaldo
of Lionel Messi whoever it might be
or I'm watching that movie
and the time of the salah comes,
Allah wants you to do it and the
prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam wants you to carry
out.
And you put the salah to the side
and you carry on watching your Netflix movie,
then know
that you have claimed indirectly
that Allah is not the greatest.
And that so and so is the greatest.
To conclude,
Hassan al Basri, the great imam, the tabi'ai,
he commented
on that verse when Allah
commanded his Messenger, say to him,
if you really love Allah,
then follow me. He commented and he said,
Some people claimed
that they love
Allah Azzawajal
and his Messenger,
and he tested them with this verse
to really see
those
who are true lovers of Allah Azza wa
Jal and his Messenger.
Abdullah ibn Umar radiAllahu ta'ala Anhuma,
he one time saw
a man,
Who was carrying his mother
on his shoulders
Doing tawaf, circumbalating the Kaaba
The man came up to Abdul Abner Umar
and he said to him,
Have I fulfilled her rights?
