Abu Taymiyyah – Kissing & Seeking Barakah from The Maraam Ibraheem

			You find people, they come here, they kiss
		

			it, you know, they try to rub their
		

			hands on it, they even get a piece
		

			of cloth, start wiping it, thinking that they're
		

			getting blessings
		

			onto this piece of cloth, and they take
		

			you home, thinking that all of a sudden
		

			now that this is going to protect them
		

			or harm them. My brothers and sisters, a
		

			principle that Umar ibn Khattab radiAllahu ta'ala Anhu
		

			to us when he went to the black
		

			stone, he said
		

			Had I not seen the prophet sallallahu alaihi
		

			wa sallam kissed you, I wouldn't have kissed
		

			you. That's what the prophet said about the
		

			Hajar and As
		

			for this, my brothers and my sisters, this
		

			is a very common mistake. You can see
		

			people doing it right now. They're wiping themselves
		

			on top of it. They're even like kissing
		

			it. All of this, my brothers and my
		

			sisters, has no basis whatsoever. So inshallah, my
		

			brothers and sisters, be very wary of this.
