The use of body parts and the d union in the Bible is discussed, along with the importance of finding happiness and finding one's true passion for Islam. The segment also touches on the negative impact of actions and actions on one's behavior and reputation, as well as the struggles of people affected by the coronavirus and the need for everyone to take responsibility. AI: Summary ©
Let's talk today.
The recitation will be by Adnan again.
Mention one hadith and then
ask the brothers and sisters a few things
we probably heard this hadith a million times,
and I'm going to mention insha Allahu ta'ala
for the million and one time.
No
action is accepted except with the correct intention.
You know a lot of time
we might do a specific action in our
religion,
but
why are we doing the action?
Are we just doing it because everybody is
going to the Janazah,
or it's just become a family ritual,
or every Sunday we go and visit the
sick? Is it just because everybody else is
doing it, we're gonna go do it as
well?
Whatever we might be doing.
And in this case, attending the lecture.
Are we just attending simply because
my sister or my friend said let's go,
you know?
There's gonna be a lot of girls there,
It's gonna be, like, you know, a lot
of guys just so we can sit around.
The intention is very, very important.
Sorry? Doing a good ball. Oh, okay.
None. So the point is, brothers and sisters,
the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam told us
in a hadith,
attaining the husband and the wife
that never does a person
or a
man.
That he spends something for the sake of
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Even that which you put
in the
mouth
of your
wife. If a person now is doing that
for the sake of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
not that it's just a chore.
She needs me to do something.
It's just part of life, otherwise we're not
gonna be able to live, but you're doing
this for the sake of Allah
You're getting rewarded for it.
That's why the salaf, like Sahaba,
they used to constantly think to themselves.
Sometimes at night,
the actions I did today when I went
and attended
the congregational prayer,
or when I paid the £500
into the sadaqa box,
was I doing that in order for my
dad to see what a good individual I
am?
Or my friend to see how pious I
am?
Did I have any other agenda or was
I doing this solely for Allah's
sake?
I'm sure none of us wanna come. We've
sat here for 2 hours or
we've been doing so much at Dawah work
and
we had corrupted intentions.
Maybe we just wanted to get married to
someone else. So in order for us to
them for them to see us we're part
of the eyes of whatever.
Any the reasons could be many,
but while I'm just trying to point out
inshallah to Allah, this intention is very very
important. Even though it's very very easy, you
find that sometimes it just slips from a
person.
And I'm not trying to, specifically
attack anyone here or anything like that before
some of the things I'm trying to make
a dig at him. But
it's just a 10bir, firstly for myself
and then secondly for my brothers and sisters.
Before I start the lecture, I just wanna
ask a few questions
for the brothers and
sisters
because the topic, I think what is it
called again? Amazing verses That could change your
life. That could change your life.
Five people. 2 from the brothers
and 3 from the sisters.
Sorry. It's a bit unfair but
2 from the brothers inshallah to Ayla. 2
verses that you not find, like, very amazing.
And if no one puts their hand
on that pick. No.
Good. That's very very nice.
Sufficient for Allah
and what an excellent
he is. You know? Sometimes you find that
we afflicted with all sorts of,
problems and
maybe we have so many enemies.
You find that which is sufficient for a
person is Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. No.
Anyone else?
Just for his worship, Jamil. I'm gonna be
speaking about some of that
inside the lecture. And can we come to
the system
3 verses
from that you have found totally amazing in
the Quran?
Sorry?
No. It doesn't have to be from here,
is it? Can I just see anything? Right?
No. Not anything like that you found. Like,
you looked into the Quran, like, in your
whole life that you found the verse that
was totally amazing.
Now I wish of Allah
favors and bounties. Do you not negate and
reject? No.
That's very very true as well.
Because there's so many things that Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala has blessed us with. Sometimes we
forget.
Sometimes we forget.
Allah said in the Quran,
if you was to count the blessings of
Allah he would never be able to count.
Never
ever. He gave you everything that you asked
for. Sometimes when a guy walks in
that is maybe paralyzed or he can't speak
or he can't
see, we tend to feel very very sorry
for this individual.
This guy might just be wishing to himself
if only
I could be like you. You need the
rest of the people, the the majority of
those who walk on the face of the
earth.
Wishing that he could just have them eyes.
Do we ever even think about
the eyes, the nerves? Imagine this one nerve.
Allah, I've seen a brother who's one nerve.
She's got how many nerves do we have
in our bodies? So many.
Just one nerve is cut and he kind
of struggles to move around because of that
one nerve.
So many things in our body that if
just one thing was to be out of
place,
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has engineered us in
such a great way.
Imagine just think to yourself
like, these countless
blessings like the eyes and the ears that
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has given to us,
but we might use it in a way
of sin. We sin through them. That if
one time Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala was to
remove
the hearing that we have, due to us
may be listening to unlawful stuff.
It's very very easy with Allah
says
If he willed, he will remove their hearing
and their sight.
Very easy with Allah
Do we think about this sometimes when we
sin with our hands,
or we stretch it out to that which
is haram?
Some of the things we
might watch under the duvet privately, that if
that one time Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala just
took away
these body parts that we have
because we've used it in such an incorrect
manner.
And And Allah also says,
Allah took you out of the wombs of
your mothers, and you didn't know anything.
He gave you hearing, he gave you sight,
and he gave you hearts.
So that you may be thankful of Allah
We
just we like, you find that
we've taken all these body parts, all these
namaz, bound countless blessings and bounties
for granted.
A question that we might wanna put forth
to ourselves, when is the last time
with these body parts and some of these
things that we have we thank Allah Azza
wa Jal for?
Or have we just taken it for granted?
Just look at those people who have been
afflicted with was that 1? Yeah? Was that
2? 1. 1. Can I have another 2,
please? 1. 1. 1. Can I have another
2, please? 1. 1. 1. 1.
2,
please? 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 2,
please. 1.
Yeah? Was that 2?
1. Can I have another 2, please?
This is
but they plan and unlock plans and unlock
the best plans. They plot
and
has plans.
And Allah
is the best of those
or is the best of plans.
Brothers and sisters, don't be deceived by
sometimes
the problems
that might hit a believer,
someone who is strong on his
religion, the afflictions that might come to him.
Look what
not know
was called the
Imam of Ahlus Sunnah, like one of the
great scholars of Ahlus Sunati because of the
striving that he went through, the defense of
the religion that he did,
and when everybody was against him,
he was standing by himself
and the enemies tried to whip him when
it came to the issue of Khalqul
Quran. If the Quran is created or not
or is it solely the speech of Allah
They started coming with and anybody that said
other than what they believed at the time,
they will get dropped.
So they whipped him, they did everything to
him, and he went
said in the Quran.
Who have believed in
this dunya.
Beautiful.
Patience is beautiful. Inshallah, we'll talk about something
like that Inshallah, in the in the lecture.
Brother sisters,
Inshallah, one thing I wanna point out
starting with what the brava at the end
mentioned pertaining to
the. And this is also one of these
ayah that we hear a lot. We never
created a jinn and the ents except to
worship me
alone. If only,
brothers and sisters, if only we looked our
life in this
way, that me and you have been placed
whether it in Leicester, whether it is in
London, whether it is any place upon the
face of this earth. America, Canada, you name
it.
For that sole purpose of Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala's worship, nothing else.
Today, look at the state of the majority
of the people.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells in the Quran,
The hour has come
turning
away.
Allah then says in the same
their hearts are distracted.
There's no harm in one attending
university and studying a degree,
and trying to get a PhD or a
master's in whatever field it might be,
something that is good for a person
to maybe obtain this dunya.
But it becomes a problem, brothers and sisters,
when that sole purpose that Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala created us for
becomes affected by these
worldly problems
or these things that we might chase in
this dunya.
And I'm gonna mention a hadith later if
only we just done a bit of it.
The dunya would come chasing us.
Instead of us now running around trying to
seek money, get the cars, the dunya is
gonna come chasing us.
We have
have to understand one thing.
And please, prophet and sister, pay attention, this
is a very, very important.
There's a reason why the prophet
said, This dunya that we're living in is
cursed, and
everything in it is cursed as well.
Except
for a few things that the prophet
exempted. The remembrance of Allah
Someone that learns his religion,
and someone that teaches
Why is it cursed? Why? A question we
ask ourselves, why is it cursed? This dunya
that we're living in, why is it so
cursed?
Because when the adhan is going
off, we become busy with other things.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala comes second.
How many times we find ourselves in that
situation, Alclassico
is going on, or on ITV, you find
that the Champions League of that week is
going on.
When the salah
goes off, we're too busy. We still wanna
watch that game.
Or a film that we're watching, or we're
stuck in the cinema.
Can someone tell me what Allahu Akbar means?
Allah has the greatest Sahib. Allah is the
greatest.
Most people would know the meaning of Allahu
Akbar Allah is the greatest.
Even though we might say with our tongues,
but when it comes to alims,
if we are watching something at the time
of the salah and the adhan is going
off and you know it's a time of
prayer,
or you're kicking a piece of material around
whether it's football or basketball it might be.
With
your limbs,
and your body parts you are saying that
my boss,
and my Pythagoras theorem, and my maths, and
whatever I am watching that football mess in
Ronaldo are more greater than Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala.
Because you have chosen them over Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala when the call of prayer is
going on.
We can say all day long and say,
but it's not about just us saying stuff.
It's
prayer. You're being called to the Ibadad.
This is why this dunya is cursed.
This dunya is cursed simply because it busy
the person from the main objective.
And it's quite serious.
Nobody would dare dare say that Ronaldo or
Messi or that football that I'm playing is
more greater than Allah No one would ever
say it.
But then
we look at our actions. If you really
want to know
where you stand with Allah
get
responding to it?
Do you get out from your feet straight
away?
Or do you take your time?
Can I ask you a question?
Is there anyone here who
wants a happy life?
No one.
You want a happy life?
Everyone, doesn't it?
Everybody wants the happy life and
day and night, we are working towards to,
you know, trying to get the happy life,
whether it is to get that spouse that's
gonna make us happy
or getting that job or getting that,
you know,
that
car, some of these materialistic things.
Has anybody ever walked into the GP? There's
one near my house
on
road, and it says one day in big
writing, are you depressed?
Every
son of the Mohammed Hassan has got a
very nice clip regarding this.
You walk in, it says, are you depressing
big?
Recently,
I received
something that said
or something like that called Babu Ali or
something
like that. Through the post,
this guy is saying,
if you're struggling in your life, if you
got any financial problems, your wife is struggling
to give birth, you want happiness in your
life, your your wife has left you whatever,
then call this number.
We have solved so many problems,
and we're gonna read a few stuff on
you, and then we're gonna get you sorted
out.
Has anyone received that through the door? In
Haifels, it's going around. Recently, the housing officer
said I'm gonna call the police on this
guy.
In these tall flats, you know, these tall
have in behind ID and that, it's like
you find it everywhere.
The point is, brother and sister,
a lot of people a lot of people,
they
suffer from depression or they have problems their
lives, and they don't know where to turn
to.
If a person doesn't know his religion, he
might turn to this peer that they have
or call this number as soon as there
is a problem between him and his wife
in order to get some
something
called done,
or some magic spells that takes place.
Because you know,
of
spell
that
they
do,
and
the prophet of spell that they do, and
the
prophet he warned against this.
They tried to make the
magic,
and his religion is finished.
If a person doesn't know his religion properly,
sooner or later he's going to call this
number from Babu Ali.
He's gonna call it
and send his religion. Fall into kufr sihal.
They used to teach them how to
separate the husband and wife.
Another thing that has came to my mind
and I think think I just mentioned
this
as
well.
Recently,
the Sheffield University asked me to do a
lecture,
and they said, can you speak about
depressed or possessed?
And I thought to myself, even
though that title is very very short, it
goes a very long way, and I'll tell
you that way.
I've seen a lot of times,
when a husband and wife get
married,
husband and wife, they get married.
As soon as there's problems between them, the
first thing that they blame,
many. I get called a lot of times
to marriage from that. I have to sit
there and see what's going on and things
like that.
A lot of the time you find that
he or she is saying, oh, the guy
is possessed.
Or I think, you know, when he went
to that lady's house and she became jealous
of me, and she ended up doing something
to him and she read some stuff and
I go,
You search, you search, you ask a few
questions and things like that.
You look to their life and you look
and you think to yourself,
it is all connected
to the actions of an individual.
If you want a happy life, very very
simple.
Every problem that we have,
I can point it out to you in
the Quran.
There is nothing that has been neglected from
the Quran. Allah says, We
haven't left off anything from the Quran.
It is a only. It's a cure for
your heart.
You're suffering from depression. You're suffering from problems.
Very, very simply disconnected to the.
Your actions.
What are you doing on a day to
day basis that is getting you closer to
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala? Are you being
obedient to the shaitan?
The things that the shaitan loves, are you
doing that more than what Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala told you to do?
There's an ayah in the Quran.
And please, brothers and sisters, the next time
something happens in your life,
think to yourself, is it because of what
I just did?
Allah
said
in
the
Quran
Whoever from the male and the female does
good deeds.
And then he said,
and he's a believer.
This person, we're gonna give him a good
life. What are the two conditions that was
mentioned in? Doing
good deeds.
Doing good deeds. And the second one?
Guys, you'll have to be on your toes.
I'm gonna ask questions.
The first one was what? Muhammad
good.
Whoever does good deeds.
And this person, he's a believer. This person
we're gonna give
him a good life. It is connected to
a person's deeds and the actions that he
does on a regular basis.
You want this good life, then do what
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala told you to do.
You've been told to stand up by Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala stand up. Sit down. Sit
down. Lie down. Lie down.
Just trying to get across to you and
make you understand that whatever Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala told you to do, don't hesitate.
And I promise you will find happiness right
in front of you.
I always mentioned this aya and I think
I'll just point this out to you like
again.
And I'll ask you that question. Normally
when there is or divorce happens, what happens?
Let's just say the husband and wife, they're
living in the same house,
he divorces her, what normally happens? Straight after
that.
Split
whatever each other.
Come on, man.
What happens, like, does he does she stay
or Yani, what normally happens, like, the wife
and the husband, they get into an argument.
Yeah? She goes home. She goes home.
What does the guy normally do? When he's,
like, totally angry and he's just had enough
of her, what does he do? Leaves the
house.
He leaves the house. Over his his house,
he tells her to bounce. So he kicks
her out.
And that's what the majority of people do.
I wanna ask you a question.
Does anybody here know what the Sharia says
except for
Mohammed? What does the Sharia say when a
divorce happens that they need to do?
In the same place.
Good.
So much
Oh, prophet, if you divorce your wives,
Divorce them too and wait till the end
of the period, which is 3 menstrual cycles.
They have to wait till the 3 menstrual
cycles to an end.
And also count the days.
Don't kick her out and she can't leave.
And unless she came with like a click
of fahisha,
whether or she's gone and maybe slept with
another guy or she done some whatever,
then in this case, then it's not
or it is like allowed for him to
tell her to leave the house.
And this is now the limits that has
been set by Allah
Why is Hikma behind it? Why?
Perhaps Allah
can make something happen between them. Normally, the
husband and wife, they become so depressed.
After they leave each other, even the guy
that kicked the right, he's gonna get so
depressed.
This is normal.
Ask any divorced woman or any divorced husband,
or a guy that's gone through divorce, things
like that. They all go through a
stage
where
it's
hard.
Allah
says,
Perhaps that if they stay together, he will
make something happen between them,
but the majority of people don't.
She goes her way,
he goes his way,
and you find the more they are apart,
the more shaythan
is working as hard as possible.
Other people are telling her, don't worry, forget
about him. He was like this anyway. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah.
And so hate starts building up building up
building up.
What is the point, Jechan? What is the
reason why I'm mentioning this?
The brother in the blue jacket. Why did
I mention the eye? What's the point?
Not sure.
You tell me.
Shows how the Quran solve the problem. No.
The Quran
gives a simple
solution to the problem that you might go
through.
I'm telling you now, nobody wants to get
separated
a lot at a time.
But the mere fact that they did what
Allah
told them to do
so much and so much goodness. I know
people.
They've been going through so many problems for,
like, 20
years. 20 years.
He divorced her.
They came to some understanding that they need
to stay together.
She left, she came back.
At the period, she stayed in the house.
They're living such a happy marriage.
Maybe because of one
command that you fulfilled
from the commands of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
He did what he told you to do.
He put so much barak and happiness in
your life. That brings us back to the
first
whoever from the good, from the male and
the female,
believe that those good deeds, we will give
this individual a good life.
And that was the point.
I was trying to get to.
What's your name, Robert? Abubakar. Abubakar. Don't
don't take the n c I. That's cool,
bro.
Okay.
There's another eye in the Quran
that shows us now sometimes the depression that
might come to an individual.
And pay attention to this. Whoever now turns
away
from the Quran.
Whoever now turns away from
the Quran. This person, we're gonna give him
a depressive life.
It be one command.
And going back to the example, the fact
that you refuse to come back to the
house, or you ended up kicking her out
of
the house till the end of your life,
you are being afflicted with a fitna
time and time again due to you opposing
Allah command once.
This person we're gonna give him a depressive
life.
Comes, he's blind. It doesn't just stop in
this dunya.
Will
say, oh, Allah, why have you brought me
blind?
I could see properly. Is there anyone here
that
Like, everybody can see that. Nobody struggles. A
person will come on Yom Al Qiyam, and
he cannot
see. Our ayaat, our verses came to you.
What was halal? What was Haram was made
manifest to
you.
You know this example, brothers and sisters,
and the Ramadan is coming up as well.
I think there's 2 months. Someone told me
yesterday there's 2 months till the Ramadan starts.
Am I right or?
3 months.
You're the eyes of prison, isn't it? Interesting.
3 months. Okay. 3 months.
You know there's 2 kinds of people. When
it comes to Ramadan when it comes to
Ramadan,
they
want to use Ramadan as a stepping stone
to start worshiping and to change themselves and
your life, and you have the intention to
go and change yourself.
But, you have the other type. When the
Ramadan comes they leave of their stuff,
but they already before even Ramadan started, they're
making their plans of doing Haram at 8
day.
We need to hire them, Khazah. We need
to go, you know, that club is doing
this party, this, that, and
they know something is wrong and they actually,
and the only reason why we're leaving wherever
we're leaving
is because of
the month of Ramadan. Everybody makes mistakes. We
all make mistakes. But this kind of mentality,
you know something is wrong.
You know
that stealing whatever is all haram. But you
actually go and with the mentality
I'm just gonna leave it for a month
then I'm gonna go
back
to it. It's halakah, wallah is destruction.
Say to the o Muhammad, the guy that
knows and the guy that doesn't know, do
you think they're equal? They're not equal.
And it could be the reason why you're
afflicted with a constant
because of you knowing something and then carrying
on doing it.
Allah said in the Quran,
Let them
afflicted with
a or a painful torment.
Has anyone ever incurred this kind of problem
that when he started practicing and he started
telling or speaking to his parents
in order to maybe change a few things?
Due to the manner that he spoke to
them
in, they didn't accept from him.
What's the question?
Don't be shy. It's like normal. We all
go through that.
Play.
Does anyone know who the biggest tyrant to
walk on
the
face
of
this
earth
was?
A bigger sin than this for someone to
claim I am God?
He caused problems for Moses and his people.
Moses and his people, he caused
them a lot of
problems.
When Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala told Musa and
also
Harun, his brother to go to
him. Go to He's been a deviant.
He's been a tyrant.
And I find this verse so amazing, and
I'll tell you
why. Today, you have without a shadow of
that, we need people that have knowledge
to give Dawah and things like that. We
in need of dua. But what we're more
in need of, of someone coming and giving
that dua in the best possible manner.
You ask yourself, if you try to tell
someone who is doing a sin or doing
haram
and you shout at him
or you throw something at him, you tell
him it's haram and you start shouting in
his face.
Then the majority of the time these guys
accept.
What's his reaction?
It's the question. Carry on.
Carry on doing He's gonna lie light at
you and he's gonna carry on doing whatever
he's doing and he's gonna maybe insult you
back or swear
at you. We have to understand when it
comes to advising,
and this is general, not only in dawah,
even when it comes now to
advising,
it might be the ISO president
or it might be anyone that we see
doing something that is
wrong, or it could be our family members,
our parents.
We just started practicing.
We're on cloud 9. We wanna change the
whole world,
and then sometimes you find that because of
this,
we might give Dawah in such a way
where the people, they start running away from
the origin of
Allah They start hating you, and they're gonna
start wishing that you never started practicing.
This biggest tyrant who caused so much problems
on the face of the earth, corruption.
Say to him, speech is the soft and
gentle
so that he may remember and use his
intellect, and stop fearing Allah
Let alone anyone else.
And sometimes you find the behavior of some.
It causes Al Islam to be misunderstood altogether.
It causes
Al Islam to be misunderstood altogether.
How many times you find now ISIS?
Sahih Isis.
People think that Al Islam, they all bomb
everything
due to a certain amount of people.
Some people done something and everybody has suffered.
Al Islam's got nothing to do
with this. The way they're going about trying
to push their ideology
has caused Al Islam to be seen in
such a bad way, when a reality has
nothing to do with it?
Is that it? How
quickly
inshallah. Is there anyone here whoever,
like, is there anyone here who,
may have come to a decision
one time in his
life to commit suicide. I don't think anyone's
gonna admit that anyway.
Or like he crossed his
mind. He crossed his mind that
There was a guy one time when I
was working,
and, I was one time working and there
was a guy
who really needed a job. For a whole
year, he was out of work.
For a whole year, he was out of
work.
When he got this job, like, got very
very happy, got very very excited and he
thought is gonna, you know, do very well
now in his life,
he realized that he was very bad at
the job.
Me, him, and another person were getting trained
to do that job.
It was a phone job, like a phone.
You know?
Every time he got on the phone, he
would breach data protection.
For those who have worked in call centers
and things like that, you know that if
you breach data protection, you're finished.
It's like a sack of an offense. It's
like
committing zina, like, something like that when it
comes to her chops. You know, something crazy.
You're gonna get sucked straight away.
Every call he would come to, what happens?
He reaches data protection.
He discusses maybe with the third party something
that
got
nothing to do with him. This happened, this
happened, this happened, this happened. He could just
knock and he could just
do the
job.
He came to realization that he can't carry
on the job, and even they told him,
I don't think the job is for you,
and things like
that. He went to the bridge.
There's a bridge down in the Bay.
He went there
At the break time, we all had the
break. He went there and he took like
maybe 25, 30 minutes to come back from
his break. We're all wondering or waiting what
happened to this guy.
He comes back and the guy is breathing
and everything like you're thinking, what the *
is wrong with this person?
He actually thought about
himself off the bridge onto the m one.
The point I'm trying to get across to
you right here,
brothers and sisters. If this individual knew that
verse in the Quran
We are going to test you
with something
that is going to bring fear to
you. Hunger.
Financial
you're gonna
lose wealth. And
many other things. And then Allah says, and
we'll give glad tidings to those who are
patient. When the recession took place, how many
people went to London Bridge and they chopped
themselves off?
Or they went on top of big buildings
it called?
Not Granby Street. Wall Street. Wall Street. Wall
Street.
Wall Street that they come to,
how many, like If you could, you can
read so many articles online with
this guy killed himself because he lost this
amount of money, this guy lost his house,
this guy went and killed himself.
The beauty of this Quran, it teaches us
Sabr,
and that which the sisters earlier mentioned for
Sabr al Jamil.
Patient
and the afflictions that have come to you,
being patient upon it,
knowing that Allah
loves the individuals tested, the prophet told us.
If
severely tested people are the, and those that
are like them, then those that are like
them.
A person is tested according to his religion.
A person who will be afflicted with so
many things. Sometimes a miscarriage happens.
Little do you know, if we looked at
life in such a way, maybe if this
baby lived, he would have taken me to
problems
like the
Sometimes we might look at something in such
an evil way thinking also, you know,
Allah says
Perhaps you dislike somebody that's good for you.
Maybe if you had a kid,
it would have been the reason why
you're sitting at
courts day and night due to him maybe
having sold drugs and whatever.
There's many different possibilities that Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala could
have been stopping
to reach you.
Sometimes a baby dies. From that parent, it
looks evil,
but you have this for a reason.
The prophet he told
us in a hadith,
In a hadith, Never does a woman lose
2 kids
except that this now a screen between her
and the fire. So a woman said, was
name
was name? Sorry. 3? And then a woman
said, 2. What about 2? She said 2.
She said 2. So we look at it
in such an evil way and
then you find that
there's like good things behind it.
2 more things I'm gonna mention inshallah to
Allah.
The first one is so even though it's
got 2 things in there,
dua and shukr.
Calling on to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and
also when it comes to being thankful to
Allah
Brothers and sisters, you find that a lot
of the time
as soon as we become sick,
as soon as we become sick,
the first place that we go line up
at is the GP.
We lose money, we're on the phone to
JSA. Job seekers allow us.
There's no problem with that. There's no problem
with the person taking the and things like
that.
But one thing we tend to forget
is Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. How many things
have gone missing in our lives?
How many things do we need in our
lives?
But we stand to the creation, always stand
to the creation of Allah, the creation.
Little do we know that one thing
that we need, that one time we put
our hands up to Allah
The prophet
told us in a hadith.
Allah is shy.
He's generous.
From the servant that puts his hands up
to Allah, azza wa jay, that he sends
him back empty handed.
If I become sick, is Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala is the one that's going
to cure the problems that I have?
How many issues do we need in our
life where we always go run to the
creation? Tomorrow, Bill Gates turned around.
The first ten people that are gonna come
to me, I'm going to give them this
and I'm going to give them that.
Everybody's gonna run to himself
because we know Bill Gates got money, he's
bowling, he's Microsoft, whatnot and this.
Everybody knows that.
This is the creation.
Your Lord is telling you,
he comes down on the last 3rd of
the night,
Who's going to call onto me so I
can give to him? When is the last
time we put
maybe our hands up to Allah as we
even asked him, can you do this to
me, oh Allah?
But the society that we're living in,
problems that we have are all connected
to the creation. We become so attached to
them.
The means around us have made
us to forget Allah When I meet first,
your brothers and sisters like, I don't know
some of you not, have told you this
story before.
I've gone through quite a lot in my
life.
One of the things that I found very
very, very, very, very difficult was memorizing the
Quran. I just could not memorize the Quran.
I could not. I would sit for 20
hours without any exaggeration. 1st one to go
in the Masjid and last one to come
out.
I'd be reading 1 page one page from
the Quran.
So maybe the amount that the prophet read.
For that 20 hours, I'd go to the
teacher and it's as if I didn't read
anything.
I even became sick. Why? Because of lack
of sleep and
I went into hibernation for like 2 weeks.
Make dua every single night for whole 2
weeks, dua after dua after dua. Ask Allah
to just make this easy for me.
The reason why I'm telling you this, brothers
and sisters,
is to maybe
make it as relevant as possible and not
to think, oh, only them people,
you know, or only a certain amount of
people they get their accept it. No. Everyone
and anyone.
So many examples that we can say all
day long for the next 24 to 48
hours. I'll give you maybe 100 examples of
a 100 different people. What happened to them?
It's very very difficult, but alhamdulillah, Allah a
zawajal with the du'a open things up. The
second thing is of that
is being thankful to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Don't look at those above you. The prophet
said,
don't look at those
above
you.
Look at those below you.
It is more that you become thankful to
Allah
A lot of couples a lot of couples,
what they
tend to fall into is,
look on my friend's wife, look how good
she is.
Why can't you be like that?
Or the other way around.
Maybe going to the Internet and reading these
relationship articles
where the guy that's writing the articles, he
paints the best possible picture for this guy.
This imaginary guy, he has to be like
this and he has to do this for
you. When he comes home, he puts 12
roses on the floor
and An unimaginary
guy that they see, and then my husband
is not like that, so she says to
him or he says to her, listen, you're
not doing this, you're not problem after problem.
We just seen it.
Deluded. Delusion.
The point is,
is, the reason why I'm mentioning that why
did I just mention that?
Sometimes I just go and Not to look
at
Not to look at you. Not to look
at you. Not to look at those above
you
and look at those below you.
Your wife could have been someone that is
totally like, yeah, and he shouts her husband
all day long.
She or he could have been someone that
beats your like, beats his
wife. There is guys that beat their wives.
If your husband is not like that
or your brother or your sister are not
like that, then think to yourself, oh, it
could have been
seeking
that, you know,
and I remember as well when I was
seeking knowledge there would be people they would
look down or they would look at other
people, I've just memorized one ayah. This guy
is memorizing 3 pages. Why like me? Why
am I like this?
There's people that can't even memorize.
Thank Allah for the small that you have,
Thank me and I will increase for you.
It's a means of getting more money.
Someone gave you £50, I had the blue,
go thank Allah. Tomorrow you might get a
100.
You had £200 in your bank.
Thank Allah. As a result, tomorrow you might
get more. Things might be opened up
for
you.
Don't
be an ungrateful individual
that just looks at what he's been given
murk and whatnot.
And the nothing that
inshallah ta'ala I'm going to conclude with
Is that right? Yeah?
You sure? Yeah? Yeah.
A verse in the Quran that talks about
the
cure for the problems that the Muslim Ummah
is suffering from today.
A lot of the time we find on
Facebook,
sir, everybody's asking this question, why is the
Ummah suffering?
Or how we gonna go about solving these
problems?
Is it because firstly, I just wanna ask,
is there anyone happy here with what is
going on in Syria?
The people that are suffering. Forget about the
rest of these ISIS. I wanna talk about
them. We're talking about the
people who are suffering
maybe due to the weather,
maybe because of
hunger. Some people have now turned to maybe
eating leaves on the floor because of of
any hunger and things like that. Is anybody
happy with the situation of Muslim women suffering
from today?
Nobody is.
What's happening Palestine? All these other places
where people are dying of hunger,
and they have nothing. Today you
have Yemen. And everybody saying on social media,
no we need to come out,
we haven't signed enough petitions,
or sometimes the ruler gets blamed for,
you know, it's the ruler's fault. We'll lie,
we can say all day long.
And blame whatever we wanna blame everyone and
anyone.
Again, like we said at the beginning of
the lecture,
everything we need is found in the book
of Allah
Every problem that we have is found in
the book of Allah, Asawajal. Simple as that.
The problem
is not signing petitions, and we haven't come
out in our numbers that we need to
come out in protest, and things like that.
The problem comes back to us.
Allah tells us in the Quran, Allah
will not change the state of the people
until they change themselves.
Until you come back to your religion
and we establish in the best possible way,
I'll ask you a question.
How many thousands of people come out when
it comes to protesting?
When they're protesting outside? Thousands.
Thousands of people come out.
Well, I am telling you now this has
nothing to do with Islam.
Protesting has absolutely nothing to with an Islam.
It's not an Islamic act.
The other question I wanna ask you, how
many thousands of
people come out for the fizzy prayer?
What's the nearest city here?
Barclay Street. Barclay Street. What's that?
Abu Bakr,
do you do we see every Friday, like,
every Fajr time the people piling up outside,
they're praying on the road because there's no
space in the Masjid.
Asir time, Dor time, the Masjid that you
don't have in here is a piling to
all the way
outside.
It's not.
A simple command,
which is to establish the prayer in congregational
in congregation.
How do we expect that Allah subhanahu is
going to uplift the suffering of the Ummah
when we ourselves
cannot
fulfill the basics of our religion.
Stuck up in dunya,
the salat, we're just about doing the salat.
The just
about.
And like I said, provinces, I'm not trying
to dig at anyone here, but I'm not
trying to do that at all, but just
to remind for myself and likewise the people
for them to understand
this issue.
Zena bin Jah, she said to the prophet
good. She said, yes.
He said, yes, sorry.
Evil becomes so widespread,
everybody's gonna get taken. When the earthquake came
to America, did the earthquake call the people
who are righteous? Listen, I'm coming. I'm gonna
take everyone. You leave. He's gonna come and
take everyone.
Due to the and the the sickness is
going
on. He's gonna take everyone.
No one's gonna get exempt from that.
At the end of the day, it comes
back to us. I'll tell you now in
15 seconds, the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
told us
once you start dealing with interest based transactions,
is a type of interest or riba.
And you stop chasing the dunya, the tails
of the
house. And you've left off the
The prophet
who strives against himself,
He stops himself
of doing
and things like that.
Mentions the types, and the that he mentioned,
you're striving against yourself. That that's what it
means. Jahada comes from ishtihad and things like
that to strive against
yourself. And you leave the oath,
Allah will send down a humiliation upon me
until you come back to your religion.
Until the
Ummah is going to change. We can sit
around, blame everything and anything that we want,
but it's down to us. Remember, the next
time you
sin, because of that sin it could be
the reason why that Meskeen woman
who is maybe in Yemen,
maybe whatever country, she's suffering because of the
sins that we've done. You don't know the
Arab revolution that took place
in in Yemen
and all these other. These revolutions and everything
that came about, they wanted to throw out
the leader.
They're trying to throw out the leader. They
were saying the leader's like this, the leader's
like that
and
whatnot.
Like I mentioned to you before, protesting and
going against the ruler, the leader, the Muslim
ruler is not something that Al Islam
agrees with.
Just go back to Kitab al Imam al
Sahih Muslim. In Sahih Muslim, there's a whole
chapter, the
book of leadership.
People came out, the scholars were saying go
back to your homes.
Stay in your homes. A big fitness is
gonna come out of this.
You know the widow with the kid.
Did she take part? Of course, she didn't.
And now because of what other people did
they came out and they revolted and they
did whatever they did, she has to suffer.
The righteous woman, the mesquite individual has now
is now suffering because of what other people
did. Electricity gets cut.
Gas is so expensive.
Because of who? Was it her fault? It
wasn't her fault. It was the guy's fault.
All the people that came out.
And now the whole country has turned upside
down.
Everybody has to suffer altogether because of what
a certain group or a people they done.
I'm tired.
Want?
I remember
Yeah.
Well, I just gotta say like, if it's
for a dire need for example, someone really
really needs it, and it's not gonna bring
harm to him. It's like some skin guy
like me weak and man is gonna give
a bit of blood and it's gonna collapse
after.
But
And make sure you give the correct blood
in it because they have b plus and
a plus. I'm sorry. So I'll give the
wrong one in it.
You know brothers and sisters,
I try to revolve my my whole life
upon these three things,
and I mentioned 2 of them inside the
lecture.
At Dua,
I thank you Allah because
all of us on a regular basis whether
it's exams, wherever it might be, we are
all in need of something.
You see?
And like I said to you, I've had
wala sometimes
I went through
and
put our legs up on the sofa and
expect nothing to come to us. Allah even
says in
the
Quran Do people think they're gonna be left
alone? They're gonna say we believe,
and they're not gonna get child and tested.
You're gonna get tested, you're gonna go through
issues.
The one to turn to the Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala, whatever it might be, you want
a woman
that's like this and she has this characteristic
and she looks like
You wanna get her first, you wanna do
this
first.
Ask
wants
something
Allah
wants something to happen, he will say, be
it, and it becomes.
Nothing is hard
Allah nothing is difficult for
Allah So dua and thanking Allah forever
he gave
you.
What influenced you most which led you to
Allah?
My friend got
the ones that came to do, last month's
lecture here?
I don't know if everyone is here.
The brothers, they brought a camera but they
didn't record in it, you know.
So the camera was recording, we recorded without
voice.
But,
what do you call it? Yeah. Well, my
my friend got shot. Very close friend of
mine. His name was Shamaki Hassan.
You put that into Google, like, Camden shootings
will come up. Somali brought up.
And I realized to myself, like,
okay, he got shot because before that, it
was gang life, Everybody was running around with
each other. Someone gets bottled, someone gets hit
there. The whole gang is gonna come running,
chasing after the guy doing stuff.
When he got shot, no one done anything.
Nobody did anything. Sometimes
something needs to happen to a person in
his life for him to
realize
To realize. I know a brother that got
sliced in his face, then he realized, okay,
I need to stop now. It's a bit
too
late. You see?
When he got shot, he said to myself,
look, nobody is doing anything I need to
leave.
I went in Umrah, you know, Umrah just
such a nice feeling when you go to,
you know, Makkah, just seeing the Kaaba, just
like
sometimes when I go, I know I normally
go
every year, I just go and sit in
front of the Kaaba.
For hours, I just sit down there staring
at the Kaaba. That's my enjoyment.
I can just sit there for hours and
just feel so good. And even though I
went through so much, like, before that in
my life and that, I would like I
I just didn't wanna leave.
Just didn't wanna leave, and the hospital has
waited to help me, you know, rectify myself
and things like that with Dua.
And then I just came
back and decided to leave London and just
move to
next to be a millionaire.
What steps do you take
is companions.
Who are you hanging around with?
If there's a guy that's always taking you
to the club, he's always taking you to
bad places and things like that, then
the more fa'wahish, the more evils that you're
involved in,
the more low your iman's gonna go.
It's connected to
ayat are read out on him it increases
him an iman like Quran,
constantly reciting Quran,
you know, and constantly being in and things
like that.
You see?
Standing up in the night prayer, it does
increase a person's iman, keeps him confident, keeps
him and
Mohammed,
peace
be
upon
him,
experience of
Basically, what is there's a whole if you
go to Itab at Tayamu.
It's Itab Tayamu.
I think this is also the 5th chapter
or the 6th chapter, the chapter of Tiramu
which means, like, you know when a person
doesn't have wudu, he doesn't have water, what
to actually do in order to pray. There's
a long
It should come up.
I'm not telling you to take your knowledge
from Google,
but, like, you know the hadith. Like the
hadith should come up.
The hadith of Isra wal Mi'raj. You know,
when the prophet ascended up into the heavens
to get the prayer, you find some description
in there about the agenda.
But on the floor like pearls and things
like that,
is there a boundary until your sins will
not be forgiven? I. E, if you sin
over and over, how do you know when
you have no way back?
I really wanted to mention this ayah in
the in the lecture, but I forgot. I
was just planning it before I came here,
but that's one
amazing ayah that I wanted to mention,
and may Allah bless that person who mentioned
it.
You know, brothers and sisters,
the door of Tawba is always open. The
door of Tawba is always open. No matter
how many times you have sinned, if you've
killed 99 people and you know the hadith
of the guy that killed 99, then he
he killed, he made it into a 100,
and then he went off and then someone
told him make hijrah from the place that
you're in and repent to Allah
Make tawba. I'm not saying to you go
kill someone and just make tawba like that,
but
no matter what you have done the biggest
sin that one can fall into a ship
leaving his salat off and things like that
whatever it might be. A girl's had to
been doing zina whatever it might be. The
guy has been doing it all his life.
Whatever the sin might be, Allah said in
the Quran,
Muhammad, to my servants who have transgressed against
my, themselves.
Do not lose
hope in the mercy of Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala.
Allah forgives all sins.
And hear all all, every sin, whatever sin
you've fallen into,
go and make tawba to Allah
You know, Bani Adam, the son of Adam,
is part of human nature to make sins
or to fall into sins and make mistakes.
The prophet said,
the son of Adam is someone that constantly
makes mistakes.
There's no one that walks on the face
of this earth that's infallible.
But the question
Yes. We're gonna sin, but it's so simple
as well for you to say, Astaghfirullah.
Astaghfirullah wa atulbaylai. Oh, Allah, I repent to
you.
It's not something that sometimes you even, you
know, find in our lives.
And it's very very simple as all. You
see?
Have a slight dig at anyone here. It's
just an advice to myself.
Remind we need to remind the benefits to
believers.
And one other thing,
brothers and sisters, no point.
A brother for us come in and, you
know, organizing lectures and things like that for
the De Montfort University,
ISOC, and then it goes through one ear
and it comes out the other.
You see? The Quran is either approved for
for us, for us or against us. All
these ayat that we hear, these hadith that
we hear, if we just like, okay, we
come to the lecture and, you know, and
we don't act upon
it, it's just gonna end up, like, coming
against us, and it's just gonna end up
being a whole waste of time for everybody,
and, yeah, I'm an acting upon it is
something that is very, very important.
We just have a few reminders before
we look up and go.
