Abu Taymiyyah – 6 Points in Dealing With The New Trend of Belitting Aqeedah

My dear respected brothers and my sisters, InshaAllah

in this show sitting,

I want to speak about

the heart that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has

blessed us with,

and the effects of the Aqeedah

on

a Muslim's heart.

Because my brothers and my sisters, it is

the heart

that could either make or break

our prospects of entering into Al Jannah.

And that's what Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala closely

looks at.

The Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,

he told us in the hadith of Beurya

RadiAllahu Ta'ala Anhu that was narrated by my

Muslim,

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala doesn't look at your

appearances and the way you look.

You can be black, you can be white,

you can be red, you can be yellow

but that's not what Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

is concerned with.

But Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala he looks at

your actions

and he looks at your hearts

and the Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi wa'alehi was telling

me he told us another hadith.

There's a piece of flesh,

in between one's ribs,

if that becomes rectified everything else becomes rectified.

And if that becomes corrupt, everything else will

become corrupt as well.

And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala told us,

The day when your money and likewise your

children are not going to be any benefit

to you,

except the one who comes to Allah Subhanahu

Wa Ta'ala with a sound heart.

So my brothers and my sisters,

I want to mention Insha Allahu Ta'ala 6

very quick points.

The effect that the Aqeedah,

the belief system has on the heart and

the effects of it.

First point I wanna mention InshaAllah Wa Ta'la,

that based on the aqeedah,

the belief

that a person gives a lot of concern

and time to in learning about the names

and attributes of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

It is from the greatest

of reasons as to why an individual,

he is going to come and love Allah

Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

This is why

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

Whoever comes and knows about Allah Subhanahu wa

ta'ala learns about him

in his names, his attributes and also his

actions,

this person he must love Allah azza wa

Jal.

And we know the famous hadith of the

messenger sallallahu alaihi wa sallam

when there was this companion

who traveled with some of the other companions

and he used to lead the salah.

And every time he finished reciting and leading

the salah,

he would conclude his qira'ah

with Surat Al Ikhlas.

So after that they came to the Messenger

Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

and they told him that

he reads Surah Al Ikhlas

in every single rakah.

The messenger Sallallahu Alaihi

Wasallam he told them

Ask him what is the reason as to

why he does this?

So when he was asked he said

because this is

the attribute

of the most merciful one, Ar Rahman, Allah

So the Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam then said,

Tell him that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

loves him.

So Ibn Al Daym Rahim Allah Wa Ta'ala

in his Kitab

and Fawad he says

And whoever now loves

the attributes of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala then

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is going to love

him.

First he said a person studying learning about

the attributes of Allah azza wa Jal is

going to cause him to love Allah azza

wa Jal

and when a person he gives that concern

about learning about Allah azza wa Jal Allah

ahsawajal is going to love him.

My brothers and my sisters, if we stand

over this point for a moment,

if we now bring a couple of examples

about some of the names and attributes of

Allah ahsaihu,

It is Allah

ahsaihu right?

Who excessively gives to his creation and provides

for them.

If one really actualized, learned taghigh and learned

about

this attribute of Allah azza wa Jal,

do you think many of us are going

to be scared and frightened about our rizq?

A lot of the time you find that

it's a shaitan who scares the life out

of the insane, right?

The Shaytan,

he scares you with poverty

and he commands you to do filth and

evil.

And sometimes because of that fear,

we tend to fall in that way which

is Haram with regards to our rizq.

Whether it is benefit fraud,

whether it is the fraud that some of

our youngsters are doing today,

believing that maybe this is the best way

that they can attain money.

When in fact Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala teaches

us the opposite when a person comes with

Tapuah,

how Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

He provides for him where he doesn't expect

that sometimes when you're not expecting anything

something comes through the back door

and Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is there looking

after you.

When we come to know about

who the Mudibir, the one who controls

all affairs.

One my brothers and my sisters is going

to put his tawakul,

his trust in Allah Azawajal, he's going to

take the asbaab

and then when he sees that Allah is

controlling all his affairs whether it might be

with regards to marriage, whether it might be

with regards to what business,

Allah ahsawajal

is

putting all his affairs together.

And then sometimes my brothers and my sisters,

it takes one time

for you to see what Allah

has done in the most mysterious of ways

for the Iman Istaqir of Yaqalbik.

For it now to settle in your heart

which will then

lead you to not ever disobeying Allah Subhanahu

Wa Ta'ala in some of these things that

the Shaitaan

scares the people with.

Hasan Al Basir Rahim Allah Wa Ta'ala said,

I read in 90 places

that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala he has decreed

the provision.

And I read in one place that the

Shaitan scares the people with the risk.

We ended up believing the statement of the

lie of the Shaitan in that one place

and we ended up disbelieving maybe in the

statement of the Sadiq right Allah azza wa

Jal in all of these places.

2nd point that I want to mention my

brothers and my sisters

that the corruption

did not appear on the face of this

earth.

The people of Fassad, the people of innovation

caused

except after it started with the heart.

Barely will you ever find

corruption taking place

on a person's limbs except that initially started

with the heart.

That atheist my brother and my sister,

the young boy who was a Muslim

who then turned into an atheist.

My brothers and my sisters, was this

due to any other reason except that

he ended up having doubts that hit his

heart. He started up with the heart right

and then later on he started uttering these

statements of kufr

and this doubt that he had about Allah

azza wa Jal,

this unsurety

started with the heart

that shows you my brothers and my sisters

the importance of aqeedah.

One learning that

which he must believe about Allah azza wa

Jal

that which teaches him about Allah azza wa

Jal and his names and attributes.

That individual my brothers and my sisters

who went and joined ISIS and blew himself

up.

Do you think this just happened overnight?

It initially started with the heart.

He began to believe that suicide bombing

is something that is permissible, something that is

halal

and then his belief started changing and the

corruption started appearing on his limbs.

We've had many many times individuals who went

to the Haram

couple of years ago, this happened what in

Al Medina, right?

Explosions took place.

Start with the belief.

For a person now to go and attack

the people in Haram,

This initially started with him believing

and this is something that we find today

as well. People who believe

that Makkah and Madinah it requires for it

to be conquered in Jideel.

That this is actually what that will help.

Likewise my brothers and my sisters, when you

look at the Muslim world today,

how it's been corrupted,

how it's been destroyed.

Years ago, when the people, they came out

on the streets

and they started revolving

revolting against

maybe the oppressive,

the tyrannic ruler.

This is how the people they felt at

a time

and all of them explosions and all of

these violent acts that took place initially start

with the belief that a person believe that

this is correct for me to do.

And because of that, the actions followed up.

So my brothers and my sisters learning the

is what is going to protect one from

becoming an atheist,

is going to protect one from blowing himself

up

because if we don't give dawah to our

kids, to the people around us, wallahi, there's

a lot of people that are gonna give

dawah to them.

The schools are giving dawah to our children

whether we know it or not.

Teaching them in and I witnessed it with

my own eyes.

They might not necessarily make it apparent

but slowly slowly

and subtly,

it is squeezed in into the studies that

they have.

Also my brothers and my sisters,

without the correct without the

correcting of the akhida,

it could be that an individual he's wasting

his time

in the many great actions that he strives

in.

He swore by Allah by the one who

my soul is in his hand.

If any of you guys was to spend

in Uhud

Imagine my brothers and my sisters Uhud that

takes a couple of hours to climb, right?

Some of you guys may have climbed when

you went and

visited the Kaaba, when you went for Umrah,

takes a couple of hours.

Imagine one had that in gold

and then he gave it in charity.

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will not accept it

from him

until he believes in the Qadr

and my brothers and my sisters the issue

of Qadr is one aspect from the many

aspects of what

the issues of Aqeedah.

One can have a lot of qiyam

be spending his nights praying to Allah

he can be somebody with a Sawam

spending his days fasting in the path of

Allah

but he might come on Yom Al Tayama

and he gets absolutely zooth, nothing.

Why? Because there was a problem with his

akhida

and Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala tells this as

well,

And if they commit a shirk,

all of the action will become null, it

will become void

and it will have absolutely nothing.

A witness of my own eyes and this

is my brothers and my sisters a very

sad reality to deal with.

When you see your Muslim brothers and sisters

going past the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa sallam's

grave,

putting their hands up,

asking the messenger Sallallahu Alaihi wa sallam, O

Messenger protect me from the fire.

I'll ask in the messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,

You Rasool Allah ask Allah Azawajal to remove

the difficulty that I have.

We wouldn't do that with the salah. Right?

We wouldn't give that salah to anybody else

and likewise we shouldn't be doing that with

the dua. Just as the salah is Ibadah,

the dua is Ibadah is all. As the

mrsula told us,

that Dua is a Ibadah

and then the missus Allah has recited

your Lord has said call on to me

so I can respond back to you.

Every Hajj my brothers and my sisters when

we're in the tents and I speak about

the issue of a tawheed,

somebody says to me, brother

why did you keep speaking about tawheed?

Do you see the people worshiping assalam?

Do you see the people worshiping statues?

My brothers and my sisters,

worshiping statues isn't the only form of shirk.

I witness in my own eyes

the most sacred place on the face of

this earth is Makarai is the Kaaba.

Some individuals going round saying You Ali and

Jinaminina.

Oh Ali save us from the

fire. This is the most sacred place on

the face of this earth.

Then one Egyptian guy from far he shouted

say you Allah and they shouted even louder.

Oh, alayhi say it was on fire.

Even if the issue of tawheed was the

only thing somebody ever discussed, there wouldn't be

no ab in it.

The best thing that I and the promise

before me ever said was La ilaha illa

ir Allah. I'll give you guys an example.

A lot of us today, I'm sure we've

heard this before.

Some of our friends in school when we

was young,

swear on your mom's life.

If I was to ask the overwhelming majority

people here, and I've done it in other

lectures, so most people they put their hands

up.

When somebody says to you, Akhir, did you

do this? I swear on my mom's life

I've done it.

My brothers and my sisters saying this statement,

I swear on my mom's life.

The little kids today are saying this, and

they don't understand the danger of it. Do

you know my brothers and my sisters

saying I swear on my mom's life

is worse than doing zina with your mom.

Because we have the sins are of different

levels.

You have Kufr,

then you have what?

The major shirk, you have Kufr the major

shirk which is what? 1 Tabaka, then you

have the minor shirk and then you have

the major sins.

1 committing Zina with his parents, one stealing,

doing murder, all of these are from the

major sins.

Messenger salallahu alaihi wa sallam, he told us

in a hadith

whoever swears by other than Allah

he has fallen into shirk and most people

they don't mean it

and this is why it falls under the

what? It falls under me minor shirk

which is above the major sins.

Can you see my Prophet Muhammad says, how

serious this is?

And because a lot of these youngsters, they're

very very uneducated, they don't even realize, He

doesn't

But when you explain to him, his face

changes.

Doesn't realize the seriousness of what he's saying.

So why when you look

at Kitabat

It gives a lot of concern

to what one may say

and how serious it could be.

And also my brothers and my sisters, the

last point inshallahawtalah that I'm going to mention,

Not having the correct aqeedah

as we're all aware could be the reason

why we enter into the hellfire.

We know the famous Hadith, when the messenger

Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, he said,

The Jews they split into 71 *.

And the Christians they split into 72 *.

And this Ummah is going to split up

into 73 *.

All of them are in the fire except

1.

When the messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

was asked who is this Firqah, who is

this group? He said

that which I am upon today and also

my companions.

Whoever thinks that he's going to follow the

Quran and the Sunnah

and pay attention to this point my brothers,

this is very very powerful.

He says whoever thinks he's going to follow

the Quran and the Sunnah

without the guidance of the companions,

then this individual is from the people of

innovation and the people of misguidance

and he's on his way to the fire.

Because whatever we do with regards to our

religion, we always have to ask ourselves.

Did the messenger sala alaihi washan do this?

Did the companions understanding in this way

for whatever action that sometimes is brought up

and there's controversies always throughout the year

when different incidents take place and people are

debating. Is this sunnah? Is this not sunnah?

Look what Ibn Umar radiAllahu ta'ala Anhu said

when he was said to him, shall we

fast when we are in Arafah, the day

of Arafah.

We know for a non hajji,

it is sunnah for him to fast

but a person who is in the state

of hajj and he is in Arafah,

the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam prohibited it.

He said Hajj

I done Hajj with the prophet Sallallahu Alaihi

Wasallam and he didn't fast.

And Abu Bakr radiAllahu ta'ala and I done

Hajj with him and he didn't

I also done Hajj with Uthman and I

also done Hajj with Ummah and both of

them didn't fast

and I'm not going to fast as well.

This is a minhaj my brothers and my

sister, Ibra Umar radiAllahu ta'ala Anhu is teaching

us

and this is exactly how his father was

as well, when he was about to kiss

kiss the black stone what did he say?

Had I not seen the prophet sallallahu alaihi

wa sallam kissed you I wouldn't have kissed

you.

Meaning, if the Prophet sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam,

I'm going to do it. He never done

it, I'm not going to do it.

And my brothers and my sisters, Wallahi, you

go around the Kaaba,

the amount of things that you see

is gobsmacking.

This is why in India, I always tell

the Hijaz every single year.

Whatever you see the asl is that you

don't do until proven otherwise.

That's how bad it has gotten there.

Some Some of you guys may have seen

some of the videos that we done,

some of the common mistakes. People going to

the Maqam Ibrahim

kissing it, getting a piece of cloth, wiping

it,

taking it home thinking that as long as

I have this piece of cloth

I am blessed and no harm is going

to reach me. And that's a serious thing,

because the shirk Azhari could lead to what?

Shirk Akbar.

So my brothers and my sisters,

rectifying our our beliefs is something

that Allah could make or break

us entering into Aljannah.

So it requires a lot of Iatinah,

more than the issue of the other Ibadat.
