I want you to understand
what kind of deep connection and relationship the
prophet
had with the Quran
Because he's our role model. And if we
understand and know his relationship with the Quran,
it helps us
understand the importance
of developing
a strong connection and a relationship with the
Quran.
My brothers and sisters in Islam,
ibn Abbas narrates,
he says that in Nabi salallahu
alaihi wa sallam once he asked Jibril and
he said to him,
And Nabi sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, he once
said to Jibreel,
what prevents you from visiting us
more than you already visit us?
You see the relationship of Nabi sallallahu alaihi
wasallam with the Quran.
Jibril comes down with the Quran and Jibril
is coming from the heavens with from Allah
very frequently.
Every second day, every third day he's coming
down with new fresh ayaat.
When Nabi salallahu
alaihi wa sallam says to him, why don't
you visit us more?
That's the love that Nabi salallahu alaihi wa
sallam
had with the word of Allah
He's saying to him, come more, I want
to listen to the message of Allah more.
I want it to be recited to be
more and more. So then Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala reveals,
and Jibril would come and say to Nabi
salallahu alayhi wa sallam,
Jibril alayhi salam says to him, as Allah
Azzawajal says in Surat Mariam that we the
angels, we only come down and we descend
by the permission of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
