Abdur Rahman ibn Yusuf Mangera – Zuhd (abstinence) is a state of the heart

In our trip to Mauritania, I said to one person that one of the

reasons we came is to see the zoo here. And he sent me a right to be

without electricity. The only electricity they have is from

solar panels. So they literally have like one bulb in one room,

you go there at night, they will have to sacrifice a goat for you,

because they don't have a fridge where they can. And that's what

nighttime, and they used to have food within a short amount of time

meet where you get the meat from, you know, and it's fresh. It

doesn't smell or anything. It's really properly organic. He says

you could be down there and as long as your heart is not attached

somebody here may not have anything around him. But his

desire, his heart is on everything outside. So Zuid is a state of the
