00:00:00 --> 00:00:04
			Hamdu lillahi Hamden cathedra on
the uban Mobarak and fee Mobarak

00:00:04 --> 00:00:05
			anally

00:00:06 --> 00:00:09
			Cana your Hebrew Rob buena Huerta
jelajah, who

00:00:11 --> 00:00:14
			was Salatu was Salam ala say you
didn't have evil Mustafa

00:00:14 --> 00:00:19
			SallAllahu Taala are they who are
an LI or Safi or Baraka was seldom

00:00:19 --> 00:00:24
			at the Sleeman Kathira on Isla
Yomi Dean Amar Bharath inshallah

00:00:24 --> 00:00:28
			today's is a very profound
aphorism. But to understand it

00:00:28 --> 00:00:31
			better, we'll just have to remind
ourselves of the previous one,

00:00:32 --> 00:00:35
			where if not, I thought, Allah
says Robomow, Taka Femina world

00:00:35 --> 00:00:40
			Burma Menaka for our buck.
Sometimes Allah gives while

00:00:40 --> 00:00:45
			depriving you and sometimes he
deprives you in giving. So the

00:00:45 --> 00:00:49
			idea of that was that Allah
subhanaw taala sometimes gives us

00:00:49 --> 00:00:52
			something, but because of that, he
deprives us of something even more

00:00:52 --> 00:00:57
			important. And sometimes we don't
receive something, and we feel bad

00:00:57 --> 00:01:01
			about it. But actually, in that
there's actually betterment in

00:01:01 --> 00:01:02
			that for us.

00:01:04 --> 00:01:04
			So

00:01:06 --> 00:01:09
			once we've understood that, then
what he says next is

00:01:11 --> 00:01:15
			for the aphorism for today, he
says, matter, Fattah halacha

00:01:15 --> 00:01:20
			burble, for me, Phil many other
men who are final authority,

00:01:21 --> 00:01:25
			which is men Fattah halacha
burble, for me, Phil Monterey, the

00:01:25 --> 00:01:27
			men who are final authority.

00:01:28 --> 00:01:31
			Really interesting statement, he
says when he opens up your

00:01:31 --> 00:01:34
			understanding of deprivation,

00:01:36 --> 00:01:41
			the deprivation becomes the same
as the gift bit of a riddle. But

00:01:41 --> 00:01:44
			what it means is that when Allah
subhanaw taala opens up our

00:01:44 --> 00:01:48
			understanding, and when we come to
understand that when Allah is

00:01:48 --> 00:01:52
			depriving us of something, or we
feel like we're being deprived of

00:01:52 --> 00:01:55
			something that we've been trying
to acquire, we're making, we've

00:01:55 --> 00:02:00
			made a huge effort to get we've
worked nights and days, we took

00:02:00 --> 00:02:05
			exams, we tried to dress our best,
we tried to woo to the best of our

00:02:05 --> 00:02:09
			ability, and all the rest of it,
and then we were deprived. It did

00:02:09 --> 00:02:14
			not come he did not come she did
not come wherever it is, the

00:02:14 --> 00:02:17
			deprivation becomes the same as
the gift, what you were hoping

00:02:17 --> 00:02:21
			would be a gift. The deprivation
is the gift. But that can only

00:02:21 --> 00:02:26
			come about once we've understood
the way Allah subhanaw taala works

00:02:26 --> 00:02:29
			in his system. So that's why it's
very important to understand the

00:02:29 --> 00:02:34
			previous aphorism. And that will
be online for you to listen to, if

00:02:34 --> 00:02:38
			you haven't listened to it already
soon. Inshallah. That was, that

00:02:38 --> 00:02:44
			was aphorism number 83. We're
doing number 84. When he opens up

00:02:44 --> 00:02:46
			the understanding of the
deprivation, the deprivation

00:02:46 --> 00:02:52
			becomes the same, same as the
gift. So what's going on here is

00:02:52 --> 00:02:53
			that

00:02:54 --> 00:02:58
			once you've understood, once human
beings understand slaves of Allah,

00:02:58 --> 00:03:01
			understand only a believer will
understand this, you have to have

00:03:01 --> 00:03:05
			some kind of belief in Allah, if
you don't believe in, where we're

00:03:05 --> 00:03:09
			going where we are. And what's the
purpose of this whole thing, then

00:03:10 --> 00:03:15
			this makes no sense. Like it makes
no sense. But what's really, yeah,

00:03:15 --> 00:03:18
			what's really interesting is that
this is for a believer that once

00:03:18 --> 00:03:22
			you've understood that Allah has
mercy, He is the Merciful One. And

00:03:23 --> 00:03:27
			Allah is compassionate, Allah is
benevolent, Allah is generous.

00:03:27 --> 00:03:30
			Allah subhanaw taala is not
stingy. Allah wants to give, give,

00:03:30 --> 00:03:34
			and he does give, when it's
appropriate to give, once you've

00:03:34 --> 00:03:37
			understood all of this thing, that
means we've understood who he is,

00:03:37 --> 00:03:40
			and we've understood some of his
characteristics. Remember, you can

00:03:40 --> 00:03:42
			never understand Allah without
understanding his names and his

00:03:42 --> 00:03:46
			characteristics. This is why many,
many people are deprived, even

00:03:46 --> 00:03:49
			those who worship so much they
don't really understand Allah.

00:03:49 --> 00:03:53
			That's why when something strange
happens or abnormal happens, they

00:03:53 --> 00:03:58
			freak out. Because they just don't
have the variance of the various

00:03:58 --> 00:04:02
			ways that Allah subhanaw taala can
deal with people. So they've been

00:04:02 --> 00:04:06
			dealt with in a certain way. So
they feel that this is now

00:04:06 --> 00:04:09
			different to that, that means
Allah mas hate me now, or

00:04:09 --> 00:04:12
			something of that nature. So
that's why it's very important. I

00:04:12 --> 00:04:15
			think the secret knowing Allah
subhanaw taala is the beautiful

00:04:15 --> 00:04:18
			names. That is the secret of
knowing who Allah subhanaw taala

00:04:18 --> 00:04:23
			is. So once you've understood all
of this, then you will know that

00:04:23 --> 00:04:24
			whenever you ask Him for anything,

00:04:25 --> 00:04:30
			whenever you decide to do
something, whenever you

00:04:30 --> 00:04:34
			contemplate doing something
whenever you need something, and

00:04:34 --> 00:04:37
			then he stops you, he prevents you
He doesn't give it to you. You

00:04:37 --> 00:04:40
			really want this thing Hey, I want
this I want to go here I want this

00:04:40 --> 00:04:44
			I will acquire this, but he
prevents you then you will

00:04:44 --> 00:04:49
			immediately understand okay, this
must be some mercy in this. This

00:04:49 --> 00:04:52
			is Allah's gifting me even though
he's proven he's not providing me

00:04:52 --> 00:04:56
			this philosophy you can't live
without. Once you understand this

00:04:56 --> 00:04:59
			idea about Allah subhanaw taala I
think life becomes so much

00:05:00 --> 00:05:04
			So much easier, right? You just
start the work is based on this

00:05:04 --> 00:05:08
			consignment of our affairs is
based on this, and happiness comes

00:05:08 --> 00:05:08
			from this

00:05:10 --> 00:05:13
			Subhanallah then you will
understand that Allah is not

00:05:13 --> 00:05:17
			preventing it from me due to any
kind of miserliness, or because

00:05:17 --> 00:05:21
			he's unable to write, but he
doesn't have the ability to, or

00:05:21 --> 00:05:25
			because he's really ignorant and
unaware of how good this thing is

00:05:25 --> 00:05:29
			for me, you know, this would have
been so good. So many people have

00:05:29 --> 00:05:33
			told me you need to get this.
That's the car you need, or get

00:05:33 --> 00:05:35
			this job or move into this place.

00:05:36 --> 00:05:40
			Or do this. So Allah subhanaw
taala is neither ignorant He's

00:05:40 --> 00:05:44
			neither impotent and unable,
neither is he stingy. And neither

00:05:44 --> 00:05:48
			is he heedless and unaware. He
knows exactly what he's doing.

00:05:48 --> 00:05:51
			It's not that he's so concerned
about so many other people are so

00:05:51 --> 00:05:53
			busy with other people that he
doesn't have time for, you know,

00:05:53 --> 00:05:57
			he has time for every single
individual, individually.

00:05:58 --> 00:06:03
			So then, why does Allah subhanaw
taala prevent it from us? Because

00:06:03 --> 00:06:08
			that's his, that his his
understanding, that is the way he

00:06:08 --> 00:06:12
			knows it should be. And it's
better for you, this is actually

00:06:12 --> 00:06:14
			the completing of His bounties
upon you.

00:06:15 --> 00:06:19
			Because Allah subhanaw taala, it
has the greatest insights, he has

00:06:19 --> 00:06:20
			the greatest awareness.

00:06:21 --> 00:06:23
			And he knows what the best

00:06:25 --> 00:06:29
			solution, conclusion and ending is
going to be. And here we have the

00:06:29 --> 00:06:34
			verse of Surah Al Baqarah, which
is verse 216. Where as

00:06:35 --> 00:06:40
			Takara who che, who are how you
like, wise

00:06:41 --> 00:06:46
			to Hey, boo, she, who shall rule a
comb, Wallah who here learn more

00:06:47 --> 00:06:48
			to the moon.

00:06:50 --> 00:06:54
			Perhaps you dislike something,
whereas it is

00:06:55 --> 00:06:59
			better for you. And sometimes you
love something, but it's actually

00:06:59 --> 00:07:04
			worse for you. And Allah subhanaw
taala knows, Allah subhanho wa

00:07:04 --> 00:07:09
			Taala knows and you do not know,
you just know that immediate. So

00:07:09 --> 00:07:14
			sometimes we're considering a
matter, right? If we open this up

00:07:14 --> 00:07:16
			a bit more, sometimes you're
considering a matter and we think

00:07:16 --> 00:07:20
			this is the best matter for us.
This has the greatest

00:07:21 --> 00:07:26
			source of welfare. This is the
most profitable item for me.

00:07:28 --> 00:07:31
			But then it actually then turns
out to be against us. I mean,

00:07:31 --> 00:07:33
			we've got experiences of this in
our life that we've done something

00:07:33 --> 00:07:37
			and it actually just was wrong. We
took the wrong path, we disobeyed

00:07:37 --> 00:07:38
			Waze,

00:07:39 --> 00:07:43
			right the app, and then we got
punished because we got stuck in

00:07:43 --> 00:07:43
			traffic.

00:07:46 --> 00:07:49
			Somebody told us to do something,
we did it. But then it was wrong.

00:07:49 --> 00:07:53
			He was missing for me information.
You bought a product and actually

00:07:53 --> 00:07:55
			it didn't turn out very well. But
you thought that was the best

00:07:55 --> 00:07:58
			product. Right? There's a
restaurant you went to to eat and

00:07:58 --> 00:08:01
			you thought, Man, this is it. But
it actually turned out to be quite

00:08:01 --> 00:08:08
			sad, and disappointing. So in
fact, you also we also know in our

00:08:08 --> 00:08:11
			life that sometimes is a
difficulty that happens. But at

00:08:11 --> 00:08:14
			the end of that difficulty comes
out some goodness, we were hating

00:08:14 --> 00:08:16
			it in the beginning. But then
after that, mashallah, this was

00:08:16 --> 00:08:17
			well worth it.

00:08:18 --> 00:08:22
			This was well worth it. Should we
go to

00:08:23 --> 00:08:25
			Jebel Rama on the Day of Arafah.

00:08:27 --> 00:08:30
			And then you start going out and
the heat, the dry heat is just

00:08:31 --> 00:08:34
			upon you. And you're like, Man, I
shouldn't have left my camp, the

00:08:34 --> 00:08:38
			cold water, the AC and everything.
But then when you get to the Jebel

00:08:38 --> 00:08:39
			Rama and then you enjoy.

00:08:41 --> 00:08:44
			Likewise, Hajj itself is
difficult. And there's a lot of

00:08:44 --> 00:08:47
			people starting man, where am I,
when you get to the tents of Mina,

00:08:47 --> 00:08:51
			but by the end of it, you wish
you'd done it so many times. So

00:08:51 --> 00:08:56
			there's so many cases like this,
where you find numerous benefits,

00:08:56 --> 00:08:59
			through difficulties. That's the
nature of the world. And then

00:08:59 --> 00:09:02
			there's also other cases, where
you find many difficulties where

00:09:02 --> 00:09:05
			you thought something was going to
be beneficial for you. You

00:09:05 --> 00:09:09
			actually need your there's so many
people who got married to someone

00:09:10 --> 00:09:14
			superficially, thinking that one
particular characteristic they had

00:09:14 --> 00:09:16
			was the most amazing
characteristic that they were

00:09:16 --> 00:09:18
			going for. They're blinded by
everything else and got married

00:09:18 --> 00:09:23
			and then spent the next 510 years
in misery. They can't stay in and

00:09:23 --> 00:09:27
			they can't get out. Subhan Allah,
sometimes they can't get out and

00:09:27 --> 00:09:31
			they can't even stay in. Allah
prevent us, Allah protect us. So

00:09:31 --> 00:09:35
			many times, benefits and gifts are
hidden within difficulties within

00:09:35 --> 00:09:39
			challenges within calamities so
much, so many times that has

00:09:39 --> 00:09:42
			happened. And sometimes there are
so many challenges that are hidden

00:09:42 --> 00:09:46
			within what is perceived to be a
benefit or a gift or something

00:09:46 --> 00:09:51
			that you really enjoy. Sometimes,
we have benefited at the hands of

00:09:51 --> 00:09:54
			our own enemies. They were doing
something out of aggression, but

00:09:54 --> 00:09:55
			it turned out good for us.

00:09:57 --> 00:09:59
			Sometimes, we've also been harmed
by

00:10:00 --> 00:10:03
			Our best people, by our own family
members by our most beloved,

00:10:04 --> 00:10:07
			sometimes out of their
foolishness, sometimes out of

00:10:07 --> 00:10:10
			something else, they say that half
of the misery of the world can be

00:10:10 --> 00:10:15
			avoided, if you just don't put
your hope in the wrong people.

00:10:16 --> 00:10:20
			And the other half can be avoided,
if you don't have doubt and

00:10:20 --> 00:10:21
			suspicion about good people.

00:10:23 --> 00:10:27
			That's where most problems come
from. But I think you know, I

00:10:27 --> 00:10:30
			think for most people, or many
people, you do have to have some

00:10:30 --> 00:10:34
			of this to be able to learn the
wisdom of getting it right. When a

00:10:34 --> 00:10:37
			person has understood both of
these things, and they avoid being

00:10:37 --> 00:10:40
			suspicious of the right people,
and they avoid trusting the wrong

00:10:40 --> 00:10:44
			people. Then they've got wisdom.
May Allah subhanaw taala, grant us

00:10:44 --> 00:10:46
			wisdom. So anyway, then he says,

00:10:47 --> 00:10:51
			yes, we've been hurt many times at
the hands of our own beloved ones.

00:10:51 --> 00:10:56
			And sometimes a lot of goodness
and happiness enjoys come from

00:10:56 --> 00:10:59
			where we thought there was going
to be harm. And sometimes a lot of

00:10:59 --> 00:11:02
			harm comes from where we thought
was going to be a very joyous

00:11:02 --> 00:11:07
			occasion. That's why a few
examples now right? I will pass on

00:11:07 --> 00:11:11
			a show that he Rahimullah Radi
Allahu on he says in his his This

00:11:11 --> 00:11:14
			is a dua of his. It says hola
Houma in Argentina, I mean,

00:11:14 --> 00:11:19
			definitely Dorian and fusina mean
Hi Hola. Bhima natum for K for la

00:11:19 --> 00:11:23
			noche Is 130 coming Hey through
learn that lm v merlon anam.

00:11:24 --> 00:11:31
			O Allah, we are we are unable we
are incapable of repelling any

00:11:31 --> 00:11:35
			harm from ourselves from where we
don't expect it to come. Where we

00:11:35 --> 00:11:38
			don't expect harm to come. We
don't have the ability to repel

00:11:38 --> 00:11:41
			that harm with what we already
know. So using what we already

00:11:41 --> 00:11:44
			know, the knowledge, the
experience, what we have, we

00:11:44 --> 00:11:49
			cannot even repel. Using that the
harm from places that we don't

00:11:49 --> 00:11:54
			expect it. So then how are we
going to then we are then

00:11:54 --> 00:11:59
			definitely incapable of doing the
of repelling harm that we don't

00:11:59 --> 00:12:03
			know, with what we don't know,
either. Right? Because if we can't

00:12:03 --> 00:12:05
			do it with what we know the bit of
awareness we have, then how are we

00:12:05 --> 00:12:10
			going to use what we don't know
because we don't know it. It's

00:12:10 --> 00:12:15
			quite a complicated to ah, but
very profound. That's why the most

00:12:15 --> 00:12:18
			important thing is ask Allah
subhanaw taala for understanding,

00:12:19 --> 00:12:24
			oh, Allah, just let me understand
affairs. Let me see what the good

00:12:24 --> 00:12:30
			is in and what the bad isn't. Let
me not be deceived by the outer

00:12:30 --> 00:12:34
			form. Let me not be deceived by
misunderstanding, misconception

00:12:34 --> 00:12:38
			mis attribution,
misrepresentation, let me not be

00:12:38 --> 00:12:42
			confused by that. The people with
the greatest clarity that

00:12:42 --> 00:12:46
			generally succeed are those people
who have clarity, who don't

00:12:47 --> 00:12:51
			generally get bowled off their
feet, by something that seems like

00:12:51 --> 00:12:54
			something else. Allah has given
them insight, they have a lot of

00:12:54 --> 00:12:56
			experience, either worldly
experience or divine insight, or

00:12:56 --> 00:13:01
			both. If Allah can open that up
for us, then in sha Allah, the

00:13:01 --> 00:13:05
			first marriage proposal that you
make will be the right one. The

00:13:05 --> 00:13:08
			first person you get married to in
sha Allah will be the right one.

00:13:10 --> 00:13:13
			The first business that you do in
sha Allah, it should be the right

00:13:13 --> 00:13:13
			one.

00:13:14 --> 00:13:16
			You may still have some setbacks
in some cases.

00:13:17 --> 00:13:22
			But it works. Life helps in that
sense, Allah, this Tofik is really

00:13:22 --> 00:13:26
			important. So whenever Allah
subhanaw taala, or people of iman,

00:13:26 --> 00:13:29
			remember, this is only for people
of iman who have consciousness,

00:13:30 --> 00:13:33
			you have to have that belief, when
Allah subhanaw taala will open up

00:13:33 --> 00:13:37
			the door of comprehension for you
regarding why he prevents certain

00:13:37 --> 00:13:42
			things from you, then you will
know the good and bad and things

00:13:42 --> 00:13:47
			and you will be able to perceive
that insha Allah and you will have

00:13:47 --> 00:13:52
			better insight. And now, when he
does prevent something from you,

00:13:52 --> 00:13:54
			you've tried your best but you
didn't get it.

00:13:55 --> 00:14:00
			Then you will realize that that is
the bounty that is God's gift that

00:14:00 --> 00:14:03
			He's prevented it from me, that is
the best thing that can happen

00:14:03 --> 00:14:03
			from me.

00:14:05 --> 00:14:08
			There's so many people who used to
do a certain job, and they were

00:14:08 --> 00:14:11
			very happy in their job. And then
they lost that job. And they felt

00:14:12 --> 00:14:16
			extremely sad, right because they
knew nothing else. They've been

00:14:16 --> 00:14:20
			doing a job for years. He was
giving them a certain amount. And

00:14:20 --> 00:14:23
			it had a bit of difficulty but
they were willing to undertake

00:14:23 --> 00:14:27
			that because they had not much
else to go by. They didn't really

00:14:27 --> 00:14:30
			care about anything else. And then
one day they lose their job.

00:14:31 --> 00:14:35
			When they lose their job. Now
they've become unstable. They've

00:14:35 --> 00:14:38
			been destabilized what they knew
the routine they knew for five

00:14:38 --> 00:14:42
			years, 10 years 15 years has been
spoiled. They think the whole

00:14:42 --> 00:14:45
			world is caving down upon them
What sin have I committed? What

00:14:45 --> 00:14:49
			wrong have I done? Why am I now so
despicable in the sight of Allah,

00:14:50 --> 00:14:53
			but they make an effort. They
start praying to Allah subhanho wa

00:14:53 --> 00:14:56
			Taala and then they come up with a
better job. It probably pays them

00:14:56 --> 00:15:00
			more it is more convenient. It is
more easy. It is better

00:15:00 --> 00:15:03
			for their heart, it is better for
everything. But they would never

00:15:03 --> 00:15:04
			have done that new job.

00:15:05 --> 00:15:09
			Had they not been fired from the
first job or lost that first job.

00:15:11 --> 00:15:16
			Somebody recently, they had a
property that they were renting

00:15:16 --> 00:15:20
			out a commercial property. And one
part of it, it started leaking.

00:15:20 --> 00:15:24
			And then they brought the people
in, and the engineers whatever in

00:15:24 --> 00:15:27
			and they said, This is very
dangerous, this could cave in, you

00:15:27 --> 00:15:30
			need to knock this whole thing
down, and you need to rebuild it,

00:15:30 --> 00:15:33
			it's going to cost a few 1000 to
rebuild, but it's just going to be

00:15:33 --> 00:15:37
			a small place. Now, somebody then
gave them the idea that why don't

00:15:37 --> 00:15:40
			you take it down, you're gonna
have to spend a few 1000 Anyway,

00:15:40 --> 00:15:44
			spend a bit more and extend it and
make it into something that you

00:15:44 --> 00:15:47
			can rent out for more money. And
within a year, you will be able to

00:15:47 --> 00:15:50
			remake the money that you spend in
making this up.

00:15:51 --> 00:15:54
			So they thought, that's a good
idea, I'm going to spend that much

00:15:54 --> 00:15:57
			I'll spend maybe double or triple
the amount, but I should be able

00:15:57 --> 00:16:00
			to make that up and I can then
rent it out. Now they're thinking

00:16:00 --> 00:16:03
			to themselves that we would never
have done this, we would have kept

00:16:03 --> 00:16:06
			it the way it is and just got the
small amount carried on. Now this

00:16:06 --> 00:16:10
			difficulty came upon them, they
felt really, really bad. Right?

00:16:10 --> 00:16:13
			This was a challenge, because you
have to put all of your energy and

00:16:13 --> 00:16:17
			do something but something insha
Allah betta came out of it. It

00:16:17 --> 00:16:19
			happens like this, a lot of the
time, as long as you're positive

00:16:19 --> 00:16:23
			in the way you think, how can you
turn a bad thing into a good

00:16:23 --> 00:16:28
			thing? How can you turn a setback
into a greater opportunity. And

00:16:28 --> 00:16:32
			you know, this is not just the
spiritual aspects, the spiritual,

00:16:32 --> 00:16:37
			it just helps you to manage it,
and increase your love of Allah

00:16:37 --> 00:16:40
			subhanaw taala. But it's a it's
something that successful people

00:16:40 --> 00:16:44
			end up doing all the time. If you
look at a lot of success stories,

00:16:44 --> 00:16:47
			they actually say that we would
never have done this. Initially,

00:16:48 --> 00:16:51
			what we've embarked on doing this
project, this company, whatever,

00:16:51 --> 00:16:56
			it actually came out of a lot of
chaos, I lost my job. So then I

00:16:56 --> 00:16:59
			decided that and there's been lots
of companies that have started up

00:16:59 --> 00:17:01
			where they used to work for
somebody, they lost their jobs and

00:17:01 --> 00:17:04
			decided to do it on their own and
mashallah they became bigger than

00:17:04 --> 00:17:04
			the others.

00:17:05 --> 00:17:08
			A lot of success stories are
actually like that. But from a

00:17:08 --> 00:17:13
			spiritual perspective is what we
get is managing the hurt, the

00:17:13 --> 00:17:17
			setback, the deprivation, and
realizing that no, this, there's

00:17:17 --> 00:17:20
			something good in it. So you don't
feel sad, you don't feel sad that

00:17:20 --> 00:17:23
			chaos in your mind doesn't happen.
Chaos in the world happens. But in

00:17:23 --> 00:17:27
			your mind, you're quite content,
you're going to have to make an

00:17:27 --> 00:17:30
			effort, but you're quite content,
you don't freak out. And that's

00:17:30 --> 00:17:31
			very, very, very important.

00:17:34 --> 00:17:36
			For example, let's let's look at
this, right, a simple example,

00:17:36 --> 00:17:40
			you've got a child, mashallah we
have some children here, they've

00:17:40 --> 00:17:43
			seen some really good foods. Now,
this insha, Allah is never going

00:17:43 --> 00:17:46
			to happen to our children, you
know, not at this level, a child

00:17:46 --> 00:17:50
			sees some food they're going
through and they see some food, or

00:17:50 --> 00:17:56
			some sweets, or something like
that. And it's poisoned. Now, I

00:17:56 --> 00:17:58
			said, I doubt we're ever gonna
come across this kind of an

00:17:58 --> 00:18:01
			example Insha Allah, but
hypothetical example. There's some

00:18:01 --> 00:18:05
			pipe pies in India, it's very
harmful for you. Right, but it

00:18:05 --> 00:18:08
			looks beautiful. It looks really
nice. And you show children ice

00:18:08 --> 00:18:11
			cream, or you show them sweets,
and they just candy and they want

00:18:11 --> 00:18:15
			to go for them. Now, the father
knows what's the problem in there.

00:18:16 --> 00:18:18
			The father knows what's in there.
Right?

00:18:19 --> 00:18:23
			So every time the child is trying
to grab the foods, his father is

00:18:23 --> 00:18:27
			moving his hand away the child and
starts to cry, why don't you let

00:18:27 --> 00:18:30
			me have that I want that. I want
that. I want that. Because he

00:18:30 --> 00:18:33
			doesn't know. That's why if he had
tasted it once, and he made him

00:18:33 --> 00:18:36
			sick, he'll know. But he doesn't
know this time because he's not

00:18:36 --> 00:18:41
			experienced it before. And now for
the child really wants it. So he's

00:18:41 --> 00:18:45
			got a tantrum, he's throwing
tantrums, and the father has to

00:18:45 --> 00:18:48
			now use a bit of force to keep him
away. Because he's got knowledge,

00:18:48 --> 00:18:49
			he knows this is harmful.

00:18:50 --> 00:18:52
			Now, obviously, if the child
figured it out himself, and knew

00:18:52 --> 00:18:56
			that he wouldn't have even touched
it, he would not have even

00:18:56 --> 00:19:00
			extended his hand. He would know
why his father is he hates his

00:19:00 --> 00:19:02
			father right now, why don't you
allow him to have this?

00:19:03 --> 00:19:06
			Right. But when he finds out what
the problem was, then he's going

00:19:06 --> 00:19:07
			to thank his father.

00:19:09 --> 00:19:12
			Why his father and he's going to
know that his father was actually

00:19:12 --> 00:19:15
			very compassionate and loving him
and his his love for him, that has

00:19:15 --> 00:19:17
			stopped him from doing this.

00:19:18 --> 00:19:22
			It's just the same thing that
sometimes your father would have

00:19:22 --> 00:19:26
			told you don't be friends with
that person. Don't go down there.

00:19:27 --> 00:19:31
			Don't stay out after school and go
around the corners and the back of

00:19:31 --> 00:19:36
			flats or were in the park or
whatever, right? Because they've

00:19:36 --> 00:19:39
			been through it. They know what it
is. They know what poison looks

00:19:39 --> 00:19:43
			there. They know what harm is
available in those places, but you

00:19:43 --> 00:19:47
			don't know. And this happens all
the time. These are just examples.

00:19:47 --> 00:19:51
			We know this so on a grand scale
is the same thing between us and

00:19:51 --> 00:19:54
			Allah subhana wa Tada. I remember
I said once with my daughter who

00:19:54 --> 00:19:59
			was probably about 1112 or 13 at
the time, 12 No, maybe she was

00:19:59 --> 00:19:59
			about eight

00:20:00 --> 00:20:03
			15 1516 At the time, and she's
telling her younger brother off,

00:20:04 --> 00:20:07
			right? And I could tell the
frustration in her voice and her

00:20:07 --> 00:20:11
			attitude, why don't you understand
you don't do this, you don't do it

00:20:11 --> 00:20:16
			like this is like this. Right? And
I could tell the frustration. So I

00:20:16 --> 00:20:20
			told her, I said, you know, when I
was telling you the other day,

00:20:20 --> 00:20:22
			about something, and you just
weren't getting an I was getting

00:20:22 --> 00:20:25
			praise the same thing, you know,
now better. That's why you're

00:20:25 --> 00:20:30
			telling your younger brother who's
910 years old, five, six years

00:20:30 --> 00:20:32
			younger than your seven years
younger than you, whatever it is,

00:20:32 --> 00:20:35
			right? And you're getting
frustrated, he doesn't know. But

00:20:35 --> 00:20:37
			you know, more. That's why you
know why he shouldn't be doing it.

00:20:37 --> 00:20:39
			It's the same kind of attitude.

00:20:40 --> 00:20:43
			So hopefully, that was of some
benefit. You know, hopefully that

00:20:43 --> 00:20:46
			was of some benefit. But these are
simple examples like this. There's

00:20:46 --> 00:20:48
			another example. Let's just say
that a person he

00:20:50 --> 00:20:53
			I don't know they say they do this
in some restaurants when they

00:20:53 --> 00:20:57
			don't like you or some hotel some
some takeaways they do this when

00:20:57 --> 00:21:00
			they don't like you, he he makes
some food some really looks really

00:21:00 --> 00:21:04
			nice, looks really nice. But he's
put his spit in there and, and was

00:21:04 --> 00:21:07
			a gross a bit of a gross example,
he puts his spit in there and his

00:21:08 --> 00:21:14
			nose, would you call it mucus and,
and other dirty just doesn't wash

00:21:14 --> 00:21:17
			the knives or the spoons or
whatever. And then he brings it to

00:21:17 --> 00:21:20
			you looking in a really nice way.
I mean, you probably won't even

00:21:20 --> 00:21:23
			know unless he tells you
afterwards. But he's just maybe he

00:21:23 --> 00:21:26
			doesn't like you because you
didn't, you said something bad to

00:21:26 --> 00:21:29
			them. Right? Or whatever. So and
when he that's why I don't ever

00:21:29 --> 00:21:31
			mess around with the waiter. Some
people really mess around with

00:21:31 --> 00:21:34
			waiters, I'm quite scared to be
honest. You know what they're

00:21:34 --> 00:21:36
			going to put in your food. Right?
Hopefully, that doesn't happen.

00:21:36 --> 00:21:38
			But I'm sure it can happen.

00:21:40 --> 00:21:44
			So anybody who's seen him do that,
another waiter, another cook, or

00:21:44 --> 00:21:46
			whatever, he will obviously know
that.

00:21:47 --> 00:21:50
			But anybody who has not seen that
it looks like wonderful food. It's

00:21:50 --> 00:21:54
			their sizzling on the coals, or,
you know, in the plate or whatever

00:21:54 --> 00:21:56
			they give it to you. Now, if you
knew what was in there, you

00:21:56 --> 00:21:59
			wouldn't touch it. You'd be
absolutely disgusted, even though

00:21:59 --> 00:22:01
			it looks so good, and you're very
hungry, and you've been waiting

00:22:01 --> 00:22:06
			for 45 minutes for your meal.
Right? You wouldn't want it. In

00:22:06 --> 00:22:10
			fact, you're so hungry, the guy's
bought the food. You had a bit of

00:22:10 --> 00:22:13
			altercation with him before he's
bought the food, or somebody else

00:22:13 --> 00:22:16
			comes. And he tells you and aside,
like, be careful about the food.

00:22:19 --> 00:22:21
			Your hunger, and everything is so
much like man, what are you

00:22:21 --> 00:22:23
			talking about? Look at the food,
it looks so nice, you probably

00:22:23 --> 00:22:26
			won't even you will be suspicious
about them. You wouldn't even want

00:22:26 --> 00:22:30
			to listen to them. Why? Because
you don't know. You can't

00:22:30 --> 00:22:33
			comprehend it. You just don't
understand what's happening.

00:22:34 --> 00:22:38
			Likewise, ourselves, the human
being the slaves of Allah, we go

00:22:38 --> 00:22:41
			off the things of this world, we
want to grab them, we want to

00:22:41 --> 00:22:44
			consume them, whether that be
positions, whether that be

00:22:44 --> 00:22:48
			objects, whether that be good, or
anything else in, which is

00:22:48 --> 00:22:53
			actually harm for us. It's lurking
inside, we don't realize, and

00:22:53 --> 00:22:56
			Allah subhanaw Does it look, you
can't have it, just trust me on

00:22:56 --> 00:23:00
			it. You can't have it out of mercy
for you out of compassion for you,

00:23:01 --> 00:23:02
			out of concern for you.

00:23:03 --> 00:23:07
			So if a person can start
understanding this, that there

00:23:07 --> 00:23:11
			must be something in here why I'm
not getting it. There must be some

00:23:11 --> 00:23:11
			here,

00:23:12 --> 00:23:15
			you will believe me have a lot
more time to look for something

00:23:15 --> 00:23:19
			better. The calls we get sometimes
people because they couldn't get

00:23:19 --> 00:23:24
			married to somebody now they are
trying to literally micro analyze

00:23:24 --> 00:23:28
			why it went wrong. And beating
themselves up about it. Analysis

00:23:28 --> 00:23:31
			is good so that we don't make the
same kind of mistakes in the

00:23:31 --> 00:23:37
			future. But to be then wrecked by
that is an absolute foolishness.

00:23:38 --> 00:23:40
			It's gone, it's finished. Let's
move on.

00:23:41 --> 00:23:44
			So a person needs to understand
from Allah. And when he does that,

00:23:44 --> 00:23:48
			then he will just resign his
affairs to Allah subhanaw taala

00:23:48 --> 00:23:51
			and Allah subhanho wa Taala he
will never essentially be

00:23:51 --> 00:23:54
			suspicious of Allah, He will never
be doubtful about Allah subhanaw

00:23:54 --> 00:23:58
			taala about his decisions. And if
he doesn't understand this from

00:23:58 --> 00:24:01
			Allah subhanho wa Taala then he's
just concerned grief, worry,

00:24:01 --> 00:24:05
			anxiety, depression, and so on and
so forth. In fact, sometimes a

00:24:05 --> 00:24:09
			person will even get angry. Person
gets angry sometimes why didn't I

00:24:09 --> 00:24:12
			get this I tried my best man.
Allah is probably not on my side.

00:24:13 --> 00:24:15
			Or maybe Allah doesn't exist or
he's passive. He's worried about

00:24:15 --> 00:24:19
			somebody else. But then later on
when he actually comes out to be

00:24:19 --> 00:24:20
			better for you.

00:24:21 --> 00:24:24
			Then you realize the goodness and
then a person makes Stober.

00:24:25 --> 00:24:28
			But then it's too late. A lot of
the time, this is what happens.

00:24:28 --> 00:24:31
			You freak out in the beginning,
you try everything and then you

00:24:31 --> 00:24:34
			can't do anything about it doesn't
budge.

00:24:35 --> 00:24:39
			Right? Then nothing happens. Let's
just say that.

00:24:41 --> 00:24:46
			You got an Amazon account, and
something went wrong and they shut

00:24:46 --> 00:24:49
			down your account and you're
emailing them and you're messaging

00:24:49 --> 00:24:52
			them and nothing happens. You're
really angry and freaked out.

00:24:53 --> 00:24:56
			Eventually when nothing happens,
and you can't do anything and no

00:24:56 --> 00:24:59
			other avenues are available to
you. Then you'd like

00:25:00 --> 00:25:03
			Okay, I'll just leave it to Allah
now. That's fine, you can still

00:25:03 --> 00:25:06
			leave it to Allah. But you know
what you've missed. What we've

00:25:06 --> 00:25:09
			missed them is the position of
summer, we've lost all the reward

00:25:09 --> 00:25:12
			for summer. This is no longer
summer anymore. This is

00:25:12 --> 00:25:15
			helplessness you can't do anything
to that. Okay? That's am I going

00:25:15 --> 00:25:21
			to do summer was in the sun in the
submittal ruler in the sub row in

00:25:21 --> 00:25:24
			the submittal ruler, patience is
right at the beginning in the

00:25:24 --> 00:25:28
			first stage, that can't happen
unless we train ourselves for it.

00:25:28 --> 00:25:30
			And we can't train ourselves. We
don't understand Allah and the way

00:25:30 --> 00:25:34
			he works. That's why we're
discussing this, this will give

00:25:34 --> 00:25:36
			you more support. So the next time
you happen to be like, it might

00:25:36 --> 00:25:38
			take or you might freak out in the
beginning, and then you will

00:25:38 --> 00:25:42
			realize quicker than then sooner
than later. That No, no, no, let

00:25:42 --> 00:25:46
			me take it easy. It's not worth
it. Me take it easy. It's not

00:25:46 --> 00:25:48
			worth it. Nothing's going to
change if I free cards.

00:25:49 --> 00:25:52
			So you miss the reward of the
patients if you don't do it right

00:25:52 --> 00:25:56
			from the beginning. There's a
story he said about this guy who

00:25:56 --> 00:25:57
			used to live in

00:25:58 --> 00:26:01
			the olden days, in earlier days,
maybe even someplace in the world,

00:26:01 --> 00:26:05
			you could still have this right?
Is he used to live in the

00:26:05 --> 00:26:09
			outskirts of the city. There
wasn't any light at nighttime, you

00:26:09 --> 00:26:13
			had to have your own lamps and
things. And he was of the RF when

00:26:13 --> 00:26:17
			he was a person mashallah had the
awareness of Allah he was a

00:26:17 --> 00:26:22
			righteous, very righteous person.
And what happened on this single

00:26:22 --> 00:26:29
			day is that three of his assets
all disappeared. So his donkey

00:26:29 --> 00:26:33
			that he used to do work on that
date, his dog died. Now where did

00:26:33 --> 00:26:37
			he have a dog for guiding
purposes? Not as a pet, but for

00:26:37 --> 00:26:41
			guiding purposes because out
there, dogs useful in the sense

00:26:41 --> 00:26:45
			that they your alarm system. Okay,
so the dog died.

00:26:46 --> 00:26:47
			And also his

00:26:48 --> 00:26:52
			cockerel died as well that used to
wake him up for failure, right

00:26:52 --> 00:26:54
			that they have in their homes.

00:26:55 --> 00:27:01
			So his family comes to him. And
sort of the first it's the, it's

00:27:01 --> 00:27:04
			the donkey that died. So his
family came is our our donkey has

00:27:04 --> 00:27:06
			died. He said, very good.

00:27:08 --> 00:27:10
			I mean, it's very difficult to say
that at first, you're probably

00:27:10 --> 00:27:12
			freak out. And then you think, Oh,
you must be some good in it. But

00:27:12 --> 00:27:15
			no, he's right from the beginning.
hamdulillah is fine. Right from

00:27:15 --> 00:27:19
			the beginning. It's fine. That's
what he said. May Allah allow us

00:27:19 --> 00:27:24
			to be so quick in this as well.
Immediate. Then after that, they

00:27:24 --> 00:27:27
			kind of said, well, your the dogs
died as well. Now. He said, That's

00:27:27 --> 00:27:31
			good as well. Hamdulillah. That's
good. Then they came short while

00:27:31 --> 00:27:36
			later and now the cockroach died.
So that's also good. And now is

00:27:36 --> 00:27:38
			the people around him, they're
getting quite angry, like, what's

00:27:38 --> 00:27:43
			wrong with you? Always is good.
Three of our assets have died. And

00:27:44 --> 00:27:47
			you're saying it's all good? Are
you hiding fee hada? What kind of

00:27:47 --> 00:27:48
			goodness is in there?

00:27:49 --> 00:27:50
			So he got very angry.

00:27:51 --> 00:27:56
			And he's like, all of our assets
are gone. And we're still looking

00:27:56 --> 00:27:59
			at this, we're still thinking that
there's nothing wrong with this.

00:28:00 --> 00:28:03
			Now what happened is, those are
the times when people came in,

00:28:03 --> 00:28:08
			robbed the village and so on. So
at nighttime, there was this

00:28:08 --> 00:28:11
			attack on the village. And
essentially, every single house

00:28:11 --> 00:28:15
			there was robbed. And all the
assets were taken, all the better

00:28:15 --> 00:28:16
			assets were taken.

00:28:17 --> 00:28:21
			And this person's house was not
robbed. Why wasn't it robbed? It

00:28:21 --> 00:28:25
			was dark, the only way they can
tell where somebody is living,

00:28:25 --> 00:28:28
			where there's a inhabitation where
there's a house is by the sound of

00:28:28 --> 00:28:31
			the donkey's brain, and the

00:28:32 --> 00:28:36
			and the sound of the cockerel, and
also the sound of

00:28:38 --> 00:28:41
			the dog because he had none of
these animals. He was the only one

00:28:41 --> 00:28:45
			who was saved from everything
else. So they decided they figured

00:28:45 --> 00:28:50
			out the next day, that that was
the benefit and that's what now

00:28:51 --> 00:28:55
			did it die for that reason? Yes,
from Allah's perspective, right.

00:28:56 --> 00:28:58
			But his response just made it
better for them.

00:28:59 --> 00:29:03
			The way he reacted, just made it
better for them. This is the way

00:29:04 --> 00:29:06
			only function in this world they
have difficulties as well his

00:29:06 --> 00:29:10
			animals died, they have they have
issues, but they just deal with it

00:29:10 --> 00:29:14
			better than the rest of us. So may
Allah subhanho wa Taala make us of

00:29:14 --> 00:29:16
			his friends, because they just
have a better they have a better

00:29:16 --> 00:29:20
			recognition of who Allah subhanaw
taala is.

00:29:21 --> 00:29:25
			May Allah subhanho wa Taala grant
us a good amount of this. That's

00:29:25 --> 00:29:32
			why the famous ascetic and famous
Sufi Shibli he said, a Sofia at

00:29:32 --> 00:29:37
			forlorn V Hagey. Real happy to
Allah. The Sufis, once you

00:29:37 --> 00:29:40
			consider that you want to be on
the path and want to be a

00:29:40 --> 00:29:45
			spiritual person. You are then you
then become like a child in the

00:29:45 --> 00:29:48
			lap of Allah. Allah doesn't have a
lap but it's like you become a

00:29:48 --> 00:29:52
			child in the lap of Allah that he
What do you do with children your

00:29:52 --> 00:29:53
			lap you look after that.

00:29:55 --> 00:29:58
			But first we need to give
ourselves up to Allah to be like a

00:29:58 --> 00:29:59
			child. And when worse

00:30:00 --> 00:30:03
			Stem children to be honest,
meaning we are more helpless than

00:30:03 --> 00:30:07
			children. And we need Allah
subhanaw taala more than a child

00:30:07 --> 00:30:09
			leaves their father and mother.

00:30:10 --> 00:30:12
			So that's what we need to give up.
That's what you call submission.

00:30:13 --> 00:30:17
			And he says what he says is really
correct. And they should just be

00:30:18 --> 00:30:19
			calm in whatever they

00:30:20 --> 00:30:23
			with the mind of an adult to
understand that whatever our

00:30:23 --> 00:30:26
			parents tell us is the right
thing. Right? Children don't think

00:30:26 --> 00:30:30
			that but but adults do. So we're
like children, but with the mind

00:30:30 --> 00:30:33
			of adults. Right? Whatever
happens, Allah subhanaw taala

00:30:33 --> 00:30:37
			knows best. Because Allah subhanaw
taala is going to look after them,

00:30:37 --> 00:30:40
			he's going to protect them, he's
going to preserve them, he's going

00:30:40 --> 00:30:43
			to plan for them for the future
and things that we will not know.

00:30:44 --> 00:30:48
			And he will give us that which is
to our best benefit and our

00:30:48 --> 00:30:53
			welfare. And they should not give
themselves up to anybody but Allah

00:30:53 --> 00:30:56
			subhanaw taala it's not easy, but
inshallah with all of this that

00:30:56 --> 00:30:59
			we've been discussing, it gives us
some understanding, the next time

00:30:59 --> 00:31:04
			a difficulty arises, we hope to be
more in control earlier, the and

00:31:04 --> 00:31:07
			sooner than later, and inshallah
one day we will always be in

00:31:07 --> 00:31:11
			control. So nothing will upset us
in the way that it upsets us now,

00:31:11 --> 00:31:15
			and we'll deal with it Insha
Allah, this is what now Sheikh

00:31:15 --> 00:31:20
			Abdullah can go he concludes with
in the explanation of this

00:31:20 --> 00:31:24
			aphorism, he says, perfect
intelligence and true

00:31:24 --> 00:31:30
			comprehension are only bestowed on
the ID theme on those who have a

00:31:30 --> 00:31:32
			relationship with Allah and become
aware of Allah subhanho wa taala.

00:31:33 --> 00:31:36
			Others are deprived, deprived of
this treasure. This treasure

00:31:36 --> 00:31:40
			constitutes the fortune of this
world in the next. It's the way of

00:31:40 --> 00:31:41
			this life.

00:31:42 --> 00:31:46
			The Sheikh comments he says, Oh
traveler, if Allah Most High has

00:31:46 --> 00:31:50
			withheld a worldly or religious
favor from you, your heart should

00:31:50 --> 00:31:51
			be devoid of regret.

00:31:52 --> 00:31:56
			Your heart should be devoid of
regret. In such a state, you will

00:31:56 --> 00:32:00
			have intelligently understood that
your state of deprivation is the

00:32:00 --> 00:32:04
			very product of the Divine Wisdom
and the mercy. Therefore you must

00:32:04 --> 00:32:10
			remain as pleased with Allah, as
you would have been, if the favor

00:32:10 --> 00:32:14
			had been best, if the favor had
been bestowed upon you, then your

00:32:14 --> 00:32:20
			deprivation is in fact, Allah's
gift to you. This deprivation is

00:32:20 --> 00:32:23
			the gift of Allah to you. And it
would be incorrect to think of it

00:32:23 --> 00:32:26
			as a deprivation, this
intelligence and state of

00:32:26 --> 00:32:31
			contentment are far superior to
the matter that was withheld from

00:32:31 --> 00:32:31
			you.

00:32:32 --> 00:32:36
			This is a high commodity to be
able to understand it this way.

00:32:37 --> 00:32:40
			It's a very high commodity. It's a
huge blessing. May Allah subhanho

00:32:40 --> 00:32:43
			wa Taala grant His blessing whilst
he read that Werner hamdu Lillahi

			And Allah we ask that You grant us
better days in the days to come

00:34:57 --> 00:34:59

progressively better. With the

00:35:03 --> 00:35:08

us, allow us to understand your

00:35:12 --> 00:35:16

us to understand the way you do

00:35:16 --> 00:35:21

so that we can find it easy. It's

00:35:21 --> 00:35:25

			the faith service to others. And
oh Allah remove selfishness,

00:36:07 --> 00:36:12
			hatred, excessive anger, excessive
