There's a hadith which is related by Imam armadillos Muslim and

00:00:05 --> 00:00:09

ignore a burn a number of others. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa

00:00:09 --> 00:00:10

sallam

00:00:11 --> 00:00:15

said, my unit the love will be higher on Istanbul

00:00:17 --> 00:00:18

or freeway I think I said

00:00:20 --> 00:00:23

wherever Allah subhanaw taala intends Goodwick. He

00:00:25 --> 00:00:30

uses him. Istanbul uses him in another version. He says I said,

00:00:32 --> 00:00:36

okay, they are sort of Lama I said, Alma Istat mellow. So they

00:00:36 --> 00:00:41

asked you so what does that mean? How does he Astaire man or ISIL?

00:00:41 --> 00:00:45

How does he use them? So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa

00:00:45 --> 00:00:48

sallam said, you are fearful who they are Hamelin Saleh and Pablo

00:00:48 --> 00:00:50

Monti, he Yoda and woman have a level

00:00:52 --> 00:00:56

of yoga and who giran who is various versions that Allah

00:00:56 --> 00:00:58

subhanaw taala gives them the tofi

00:00:59 --> 00:01:02

that means divinely enables them

00:01:03 --> 00:01:07

facilitates for them to do something before their death

00:01:07 --> 00:01:08

before they die,

00:01:09 --> 00:01:13

that people around them will be satisfied. And we'll remember them

00:01:13 --> 00:01:16

in a good way that mashallah, look what they did for the deal.

00:01:17 --> 00:01:18

So,

00:01:20 --> 00:01:26

one of the secrets of doing things for the right reason not to do

00:01:26 --> 00:01:29

everything you do for the right reason is to have the best goals

00:01:29 --> 00:01:30

in mind.

00:01:31 --> 00:01:36

If your goals, the purpose, you're doing whatever you're doing, if

00:01:36 --> 00:01:41

that is praiseworthy, then all the means that you adopt to do that

00:01:41 --> 00:01:42

thing will also become praiseworthy,

00:01:44 --> 00:01:45

even some of the mundane actions,

00:01:47 --> 00:01:50

even some of the normal everyday actions, so what happens is that

00:01:51 --> 00:01:56

when you come to an Islamic Academy, you get Mashallah. a

00:01:56 --> 00:02:01

boost of Imam, because you're in the environment, this is what it's

00:02:01 --> 00:02:06

the purpose of this place, is to create that hamdulillah and more

00:02:06 --> 00:02:10

people more places like that should be established, because you

00:02:10 --> 00:02:13

need people to be able to access these spaces in all cities.

00:02:14 --> 00:02:15

For the for this to happen.

00:02:18 --> 00:02:23

Our way of living our way of Islamic living, has to come with

00:02:23 --> 00:02:27

our element education, Amanda hubiera, Hema hula was one of the

00:02:27 --> 00:02:29

our greatest amorphous Muhaddith he

00:02:32 --> 00:02:37

he he he was asked what is the greatest alpha and problem that

00:02:37 --> 00:02:41

people will generally deal with? Probably create the biggest

00:02:41 --> 00:02:42

problem for them.

00:02:43 --> 00:02:47

What is the greatest alpha for what is the greatest problem that

00:02:47 --> 00:02:51

Muslims will generally face? What do you think it is? People will

00:02:51 --> 00:02:55

say attacks, internal attacks, external attacks, fit and etc,

00:02:55 --> 00:03:00

etc. But to be honest, that's just the nature of the world. The world

00:03:00 --> 00:03:03

will do its thing, you will have problems you will have

00:03:03 --> 00:03:04

selfishness, you will have

00:03:06 --> 00:03:09

murder you will have cattle you will have tyranny in the world.

00:03:10 --> 00:03:17

Now, human beings, human beings or as Muslims, we have certain

00:03:17 --> 00:03:18

commands

00:03:19 --> 00:03:23

Awami as they call in Arabic, you must do this, you mustn't do that.

00:03:24 --> 00:03:28

These are things that we are we have a choice. So we're told

00:03:28 --> 00:03:31

Aquino Salah established prayer, we have a choice. Do we want to

00:03:31 --> 00:03:35

pray? We don't want to pray. That's a choice, right? Of course,

00:03:35 --> 00:03:40

we want to take the choice that we should pray lattice noon, or that

00:03:40 --> 00:03:45

Acropolis, Xena do not get close to Zina. Again, it's a choice. Do

00:03:45 --> 00:03:47

I want to do it? Don't I want to do it? I'm at work.

00:03:48 --> 00:03:50

And there's a lot of

00:03:51 --> 00:03:55

you know, there's a lot of flirting a lot of horror,

00:03:55 --> 00:03:58

horrible. Zina, it's a choice. Do I should I do it? Should I not do

00:03:58 --> 00:04:02

it just because my wife is not watching me? She doesn't know. So

00:04:02 --> 00:04:07

it's okay. Well, what about if she finds out? You know, that's a

00:04:07 --> 00:04:15

choice. So those are the x we have where we choose a way. And we're

00:04:15 --> 00:04:20

expected to use choose the way of the Sharia. Then, on top of that,

00:04:20 --> 00:04:21

there's another layer

00:04:23 --> 00:04:26

of things that happen to us where we don't have a choice.

00:04:27 --> 00:04:29

For example, a difficulty arises

00:04:30 --> 00:04:31

a problem comes about

00:04:33 --> 00:04:38

you have a problem with your car. You have a problem with something

00:04:38 --> 00:04:39

leaking inside the house.

00:04:40 --> 00:04:42

You suddenly lost your job

00:04:44 --> 00:04:48

or some other loss took place in life. Now there you don't have

00:04:48 --> 00:04:53

choices. You it's already happened. So they're our

00:04:53 --> 00:04:59

responsibility is a different type of responsibility. That's where we

00:04:59 --> 00:04:59

must make sober

00:05:01 --> 00:05:06

That's where we must be patient. And Allah subhanaw taala has told

00:05:06 --> 00:05:08

us the province of Assam has told us how to act in both of these

00:05:08 --> 00:05:12

situations. So in the first ones, we're supposed to listen to the

00:05:12 --> 00:05:15

Command of Allah subhanaw taala command of the Prophet salallahu

00:05:15 --> 00:05:17

alayhi salam, and do the best that we can.

00:05:18 --> 00:05:22

Just because we can't always do it or sometimes we fail, sometimes we

00:05:22 --> 00:05:23

may miss a prayer.

00:05:25 --> 00:05:27

That shouldn't make us feel that it's not worth it.

00:05:29 --> 00:05:32

Because Allah subhanaw taala says, First up, Allah must talk to him.

00:05:34 --> 00:05:38

Fear Allah as much as I think can the challenge many of us feel is

00:05:38 --> 00:05:43

that where you're not living? I think the biggest challenge and I

00:05:43 --> 00:05:45

will let you ask questions, which are laughters. But I think one of

00:05:45 --> 00:05:49

the biggest challenges people feel is that if I'm not fully doing

00:05:49 --> 00:05:52

something Islamic, then that means I'm not being Islamic.

00:05:54 --> 00:05:58

And while some of that is true, we get so engrossed in our everyday

00:05:58 --> 00:06:02

life, we get up in the morning, we have to get ready for work, we

00:06:02 --> 00:06:07

rush for work, we do work, and our work is just sometimes you you

00:06:07 --> 00:06:10

enjoy it, sometimes you don't. Because it's sometimes you're just

00:06:10 --> 00:06:14

doing to make some money to make a living. And sometimes you may even

00:06:14 --> 00:06:19

feel a bit ethically Is this the right kind of job should me as a

00:06:19 --> 00:06:22

Muslim be doing this job or not? These are some of the challenges

00:06:22 --> 00:06:25

that we're facing, then we come home and then if you're married,

00:06:25 --> 00:06:29

if you have children, you've got those demands, you've got demands

00:06:29 --> 00:06:31

of doing shopping, you've got demands or paying bills you have

00:06:31 --> 00:06:35

demands of maybe there's relatives, and we feel that the

00:06:35 --> 00:06:38

only time we can be properly Islamic is if we go to the masjid

00:06:39 --> 00:06:42

or if we come to Islamic academy or something like this. So when

00:06:42 --> 00:06:45

we're not here and getting the Imani boost, we feel like we're

00:06:45 --> 00:06:48

not getting anything. And if we're not getting anything that it means

00:06:48 --> 00:06:51

that we're not getting closer to Allah subhanaw taala

00:06:52 --> 00:06:56

that's why the best way to actually stay close to Allah

00:06:56 --> 00:07:00

subhana wa Tada all the time, is to make everything that we do,

00:07:00 --> 00:07:04

including the everyday things in our life, whether that be cooking

00:07:04 --> 00:07:10

or cleaning, or looking after the children teaching, going to work,

00:07:10 --> 00:07:15

all of that if that is Islamic, if we if we make that Islamic, then

00:07:15 --> 00:07:19

all of that spiritually, we will feel inshallah close to Allah

00:07:19 --> 00:07:23

subhanaw taala all the time. You see Allah subhanaw taala says in

00:07:23 --> 00:07:26

the Quran Lavina Quran Allah has Diem and what Kuru then what Allah

00:07:26 --> 00:07:32

Gob those who praised Allah praises these people who remember

00:07:32 --> 00:07:38

Allah subhana wa Tada, standing, sitting and on their sites. Now,

00:07:38 --> 00:07:41

if you look at it, that if generally a lot of people think

00:07:41 --> 00:07:46

Viken remembrance is to sit down and read, ticket the speed, and do

00:07:46 --> 00:07:51

a certain amount of wealth that is bigger. But thicker is more than

00:07:51 --> 00:07:54

that liquor is the presence of the heart with Allah subhanaw taala.

00:07:55 --> 00:07:59

That's why some of our machete from the past, especially when

00:07:59 --> 00:08:03

you're talking about the Nigerian bees, for example, if I if I take

00:08:03 --> 00:08:05

that name, they have the concept of

00:08:08 --> 00:08:14

your hand is on your action. And you have your heart is with Allah

00:08:14 --> 00:08:16

subhanaw taala. In Persian, they say

00:08:18 --> 00:08:22

this because they will buy our dust Bakar they'll buy our

00:08:22 --> 00:08:27

dispersion, which basically means dust means hands. And dust by car,

00:08:27 --> 00:08:32

car means work. So when you're working, you're you're engaged in

00:08:32 --> 00:08:36

work, whatever that is, you're an engineer, you're a mechanic,

00:08:36 --> 00:08:40

you're cooking whatever work, but your heart is constantly thinking

00:08:40 --> 00:08:44

about Allah subhanaw taala. Now that's obviously a wonderful

00:08:44 --> 00:08:47

state. It sounds great that whatever I'm doing, I can be

00:08:47 --> 00:08:51

thinking about Allah subhanaw taala The difficulty is how do you

00:08:51 --> 00:08:52

achieve this state

00:08:53 --> 00:08:57

because then it becomes a harvest. That becomes your state second

00:08:57 --> 00:08:57

nature.

00:08:59 --> 00:09:01

But obviously, the way to do that is to

00:09:02 --> 00:09:03

there's a methodology for that.

00:09:05 --> 00:09:11

The other thing that they say is the concept of Hallward Anjuman

00:09:11 --> 00:09:14

these old Persian terms, I don't know if they're from other

00:09:14 --> 00:09:17

languages as well, but definitely colored is Arabic anyway. So it

00:09:17 --> 00:09:22

means solitude, even when you're sitting among people. When you're

00:09:22 --> 00:09:24

sitting on people, you're still connected to Allah subhanaw taala

00:09:25 --> 00:09:28

connection to Allah subhanho wa Taala that's what you call true

00:09:28 --> 00:09:33

spirituality is something that we need to achieve wherever you are.

00:09:33 --> 00:09:37

If you can think about Allah subhanaw taala wherever you are,

00:09:37 --> 00:09:41

whatever you're doing, then you will not feel that shaytan is

00:09:41 --> 00:09:44

overpowering you because as soon as you do dhikr of Allah shaytaan

00:09:45 --> 00:09:49

retreats. So then inshallah because look, you're going to have

00:09:49 --> 00:09:53

to earn a living. You're going to have to do mundane jobs in your

00:09:53 --> 00:09:57

life. The shaitaan is tricking us to make us feel that when that's

00:09:57 --> 00:09:59

happening. I am not knocking

00:10:00 --> 00:10:02

accede to Allah, I can only be connected to Allah when I go to

00:10:02 --> 00:10:03

the masjid.

00:10:04 --> 00:10:08

But because I cannot go to the masjid and nobody can sit in the

00:10:08 --> 00:10:11

masjid unless you're in Africa, but you can't do a decaf all your

00:10:11 --> 00:10:16

life you have to you got responsibilities. Earning a living

00:10:16 --> 00:10:19

is also a reward is also a job as long as you're doing it for the

00:10:19 --> 00:10:20

sake of Allah.

00:10:23 --> 00:10:26

Earning and earning a living for yourself is also for the sake of

00:10:26 --> 00:10:29

Allah subhanaw taala if you do it for the right reason.

00:10:30 --> 00:10:30

So

00:10:32 --> 00:10:35

shaytan makes us think that we are disconnected and we are

00:10:35 --> 00:10:39

disconnected until we can bring Allah subhanaw taala in our lives

00:10:39 --> 00:10:42

for everything. So the way to bring Allah subhanaw taala in our

00:10:42 --> 00:10:44

lives for everything is to

00:10:45 --> 00:10:48

first have a daily schedule.

00:10:50 --> 00:10:53

If you don't have a daily schedule, we everybody has a daily

00:10:53 --> 00:10:57

schedule, but is this This schedule is the main things of the

00:10:57 --> 00:10:59

day. So what would be your schedule, you get up in the

00:10:59 --> 00:11:02

morning, you pray Fudger hopefully insha Allah and then you go for

00:11:02 --> 00:11:06

work and work very important or school, if your student that is

00:11:06 --> 00:11:06

school.

00:11:07 --> 00:11:11

For some of our women, it will be that I need to get the children

00:11:11 --> 00:11:15

ready and take them to school. Right? Or I need to eat breakfast,

00:11:16 --> 00:11:20

or I need to prepare lunch or or, or dinner or whatever the case is,

00:11:20 --> 00:11:23

I need to wash the clothes, I need to do this, I need to do that.

00:11:23 --> 00:11:26

Those are all responsibilities that we all have.

00:11:27 --> 00:11:29

We can't get away from those responsibilities. These are

00:11:29 --> 00:11:32

responsibilities, everybody has a responsibility.

00:11:33 --> 00:11:34

Along the Sunday, I'm gonna say

00:11:36 --> 00:11:39

what we need to what we want to do is, as he monitors earlier,

00:11:40 --> 00:11:41

releases,

00:11:42 --> 00:11:46

that make sure you have a time allotted for everything you do

00:11:48 --> 00:11:53

want to let the title make sure that every time that you have is

00:11:53 --> 00:11:54

organized

00:11:55 --> 00:12:00

will be he told her robotica tool Oh God of gods. And if you are

00:12:00 --> 00:12:04

organized and you have a time for everything, only by then will the

00:12:04 --> 00:12:07

blessing in your time appear.

00:12:08 --> 00:12:12

Time is there time is from Allah subhanaw taala. If you organize,

00:12:12 --> 00:12:15

if we organize our time that this time, I'm going to do this this

00:12:15 --> 00:12:18

time, I'm going to do this this time, I'm going to do this and you

00:12:18 --> 00:12:21

make sure you keep to that time as much as possible, then you will be

00:12:21 --> 00:12:24

able to get more in because you will know whether you have time

00:12:24 --> 00:12:27

for something or not because you've already slotted in within

00:12:27 --> 00:12:30

your time, every day whether you can come because some people if

00:12:30 --> 00:12:34

you ask them how often do you go to come to Estonia, let's say once

00:12:34 --> 00:12:37

a week, maybe twice a week, right? How often can you go to the

00:12:37 --> 00:12:40

masjid? Very few people. Unfortunately, you can go to the

00:12:40 --> 00:12:45

masjid five times a day. That's an accomplishment. But at least tried

00:12:45 --> 00:12:48

to go once a day for any prayer whether that Fajr Asia, whichever

00:12:48 --> 00:12:52

prayer is convenient for you at least if you don't live too close.

00:12:52 --> 00:12:56

I'm not really sure how of how close people live here. But in

00:12:56 --> 00:13:00

London, Mashallah. There's maybe 200 mustards in the city there are

00:13:00 --> 00:13:01

million Muslims.

00:13:02 --> 00:13:06

And lastly from my house, five minutes walk so you don't have to

00:13:06 --> 00:13:09

use a car or anything. So we try to go more than once a day you

00:13:09 --> 00:13:12

have to go 234 times a day as much as possible. Where you can go to

00:13:12 --> 00:13:16

the masjid then you do a Jamar home, you congregation at your

00:13:16 --> 00:13:19

home with your with your with your family. So inshallah you will get

00:13:19 --> 00:13:23

the bulk of jemar. And that's more than that you get more reward of

00:13:23 --> 00:13:24

doing that than to pray alone.

00:13:26 --> 00:13:29

Even when you pray alone, when you pray with your family, like

00:13:29 --> 00:13:32

husband and wife. If there's children or just husband wife, you

00:13:32 --> 00:13:36

get the reward for HMR which is more than so according to one

00:13:36 --> 00:13:40

reward, it's at least 15 times the remote Masjid is 2527. But to pray

00:13:40 --> 00:13:44

anywhere else with a Jamal is at least approximately 10 or 15 times

00:13:44 --> 00:13:49

the reward as mentioned by Edna hijab. Rahim Allah. So we need to

00:13:50 --> 00:13:55

how long are we going to wait for this utopian idea that I'm gonna

00:13:55 --> 00:14:02

be able to be in a masjid all the time. Right? That could take years

00:14:02 --> 00:14:05

until you retire hopefully. So what we want to do is we want to

00:14:05 --> 00:14:10

change every day what we do, we want to make that Islamic

00:14:11 --> 00:14:14

so that we actually feel the spirituality and everything that

00:14:14 --> 00:14:19

we do. So some suggestions is that at home because physically you

00:14:19 --> 00:14:25

know if you want to come to the masjid or you want to go and to

00:14:25 --> 00:14:25

adults,

00:14:27 --> 00:14:31

everybody should try to have at least some dogs as much as they

00:14:31 --> 00:14:35

can fit in because as I was saying, let me finish off Amanda

00:14:35 --> 00:14:39

hubby's opinion about the HMI was mentioned that one of the biggest

00:14:39 --> 00:14:44

calamities that this OMA will deal with is going to be Gen ignorance.

00:14:45 --> 00:14:48

Ignorance is a very, very dangerous thing.

00:14:49 --> 00:14:52

As some of you who are here in the early class.

00:14:54 --> 00:14:58

You know if you just had heard the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu

00:14:58 --> 00:14:59

Sallam in certain situations

00:15:00 --> 00:15:04

about avoiding disputes, why you should avoid a dispute because you

00:15:04 --> 00:15:08

get reward a place in paradise. And Bernie will be salami buddy,

00:15:08 --> 00:15:13

who middle keeper, the one who says salon first is free of pride

00:15:13 --> 00:15:16

and arrogance, when you know these things, then you can just leave

00:15:16 --> 00:15:21

lead a better life. When you don't know, then shaytaan creates all

00:15:21 --> 00:15:25

kinds of problems in our mind, create all kinds of confusions in

00:15:25 --> 00:15:28

our mind, turbulence in our mind, we don't feel good.

00:15:29 --> 00:15:32

There's some people, they want to study Islam.

00:15:34 --> 00:15:37

And they've had this idea for a long time. But they want to study

00:15:38 --> 00:15:39

in a Muslim country,

00:15:40 --> 00:15:44

saying I need to go to Egypt before it used to be Syria, may

00:15:44 --> 00:15:50

Allah make it May Allah bring the stability and goodness to Syria,

00:15:50 --> 00:15:52

and to all these other countries.

00:15:53 --> 00:15:56

But right now I can't go because I've got family commitments, I

00:15:56 --> 00:15:59

have to earn a living, I have to do this, I have to do that. So

00:15:59 --> 00:16:01

they end up not doing anything.

00:16:02 --> 00:16:05

Mashallah, locally, whatever you have, you take the benefit from

00:16:05 --> 00:16:10

that. Just because you can't get something fully doesn't mean you

00:16:10 --> 00:16:13

have to abandon it completely. As the saying in Arabic,

00:16:15 --> 00:16:19

Allah, you Trakula youth or Kulu or judo, you can say, Yes,

00:16:20 --> 00:16:23

whatever you can't fully acquire, you don't fully abandon it,

00:16:23 --> 00:16:27

either, you get a bit, I've seen people for so many years, up to 10

00:16:27 --> 00:16:31

years, I need to go out. And then finally, they say it's never gonna

00:16:31 --> 00:16:34

happen. In this time, had they just studied locally or online,

00:16:35 --> 00:16:36

they would have been somewhere.

00:16:38 --> 00:16:41

These are all ways of shaytans exceptions, if he if he allows you

00:16:41 --> 00:16:46

to even think about it, he won't allow you to do it. So shaytaan

00:16:46 --> 00:16:49

will use various different types of deceptions to limit to what we

00:16:49 --> 00:16:53

do. And it'll keep making us feel bad, but we don't do anything

00:16:53 --> 00:16:58

about it. Somebody wrote to us recently, he said that I had made

00:16:59 --> 00:17:01

a vow, another vow

00:17:03 --> 00:17:09

another to share that, if such a thing happens, then I will become

00:17:09 --> 00:17:11

a scholar. I will become an island.

00:17:13 --> 00:17:16

But Alhamdulillah that thing took place.

00:17:17 --> 00:17:22

The whatever I had asked for hamdulillah took place. Now how do

00:17:22 --> 00:17:26

I fulfill my vow of becoming an island because I don't have time.

00:17:26 --> 00:17:30

I've got obligations, I've got responsibilities. Now this is a

00:17:30 --> 00:17:34

bit of a complicated, tricky issue. But number one, this is

00:17:34 --> 00:17:38

this another is not valid. Another vow is only valid for a bar.

00:17:38 --> 00:17:42

That's right. So for anything like sadaqa, because there's a there's

00:17:42 --> 00:17:46

a carrot salad, because there's you know, there's for prayer,

00:17:46 --> 00:17:48

fasting, hygiene, things like that.

00:17:49 --> 00:17:52

But then what we told him is that you under your understanding of

00:17:52 --> 00:17:57

our our limb is Sheikh Salahuddin, like somebody who's gone and

00:17:57 --> 00:18:02

studied for this many number of years and got each asset. Now that

00:18:02 --> 00:18:07

is an item, of course. But an iron is also somebody who just learned

00:18:07 --> 00:18:07

some more,

00:18:08 --> 00:18:11

and you've got your whole life ahead of you. Just because you

00:18:11 --> 00:18:14

can't do something right now, doesn't mean that you're going to

00:18:14 --> 00:18:15

leave it.

00:18:16 --> 00:18:19

So the idea is that we are getting older,

00:18:20 --> 00:18:26

where our time in this world is short. So every year, every week,

00:18:26 --> 00:18:31

every month, every year, we want to do something, even if that's a

00:18:31 --> 00:18:37

weekly course, even once a month course so that we can say at the

00:18:37 --> 00:18:41

end of every year that I know that much more than I did last year.

00:18:42 --> 00:18:48

The way we do is let's take take stock of ourselves that how much

00:18:48 --> 00:18:51

how much different am I and Ramadan is a good time to do this?

00:18:52 --> 00:18:56

How is this Ramadan better than my last room about? How am I this

00:18:56 --> 00:18:59

year better? What happened? What more what more did I learned this

00:18:59 --> 00:19:04

year than last year? What more have I introduced in my life than

00:19:04 --> 00:19:07

last year I make closer to Allah than I was last month or last

00:19:07 --> 00:19:10

year. And in every year. We want to do that until we die. Can you

00:19:10 --> 00:19:15

imagine if that's our focus, just month to month, year to year? By

00:19:15 --> 00:19:18

the time in the next 10 years? Can you imagine how much you could

00:19:18 --> 00:19:21

increase? Because believe me there are so many people I've been

00:19:21 --> 00:19:24

watching them. And I'm not judging anybody. But I've been watching

00:19:24 --> 00:19:28

from my local community when I was seven, eight years old. And these

00:19:28 --> 00:19:31

are people who've lived in the same community. If they've been

00:19:31 --> 00:19:35

coming once a week to the masjid for Joomla even though they live

00:19:35 --> 00:19:39

just down the road from the Masjid. Still, there's some people

00:19:39 --> 00:19:41

who are still only coming once a week to the masjid

00:19:42 --> 00:19:46

which is on July. I'm not judging that they're not praying or

00:19:46 --> 00:19:48

anything, but there's no improvement.

00:19:49 --> 00:19:52

See what I'm saying there's no edition, only supposed to be

00:19:52 --> 00:19:57

getting closer to Allah every year. So the the ways to do this

00:19:57 --> 00:19:58

is that

00:19:59 --> 00:20:00

we want

00:20:00 --> 00:20:03

to increase our knowledge, if we increase our knowledge, we will

00:20:03 --> 00:20:07

want to do more action because how are you going to know how to get

00:20:07 --> 00:20:10

closer to Allah, if you don't increase your knowledge, there

00:20:10 --> 00:20:14

could be simple ways. When you're sitting at home, when you're doing

00:20:14 --> 00:20:17

your job at work, that you could be turning all of that into a

00:20:17 --> 00:20:20

reward for free. And you don't know because we don't have the

00:20:20 --> 00:20:24

knowledge. So we're losing opportunities. Right now it's

00:20:24 --> 00:20:28

coming to the end of year. So there's a lot of sales, a lot of

00:20:28 --> 00:20:31

offers a lot of specials.

00:20:32 --> 00:20:34

In England, we have a website called

00:20:35 --> 00:20:41

Hot UK deals. So you go on this website, and people put on there,

00:20:41 --> 00:20:45

all the special sales and deals. Now, the only way you're going to

00:20:45 --> 00:20:48

find out if there's a deal is if you go to the website. So the more

00:20:48 --> 00:20:51

you learn, the more deals you'll get. That's the benefit of

00:20:51 --> 00:20:52

becoming an island.

00:20:53 --> 00:20:57

Now, don't think that I must spend five, seven years to become an

00:20:57 --> 00:21:00

island. If you can't do that, that would be ideal. But if you can't

00:21:00 --> 00:21:06

do that, then just take one course to course. Take a book, read it at

00:21:06 --> 00:21:10

home with your family. One of the best things is to create the

00:21:10 --> 00:21:13

environment at home, especially if you're going to have children, you

00:21:13 --> 00:21:15

need to get them used to reading

00:21:17 --> 00:21:20

the right things. A lot of people ask how do you how do you get your

00:21:20 --> 00:21:22

children into reading.

00:21:23 --> 00:21:25

The way you get your children into reading is that you read to them

00:21:25 --> 00:21:31

first. From the age of one two, you read them a story book, and

00:21:31 --> 00:21:34

that you know the story books you read, you can read any story book

00:21:34 --> 00:21:37

as something with good morals and character and ethics. And, but

00:21:37 --> 00:21:40

this is the time when you can reach them the stories of the

00:21:40 --> 00:21:44

prophets and even salatu salam, because anything you read to them

00:21:44 --> 00:21:49

at that time, is going to stick in their mind. And for us as in our

00:21:49 --> 00:21:51

deen, we want to come in the name of Allah and we want to go in the

00:21:51 --> 00:21:55

name of Allah. That's where when a baby is born, you say, you give

00:21:55 --> 00:21:58

the adult in the right and the column in the left ear, because it

00:21:58 --> 00:22:01

comes in introduced into the world with the name of Allah. And then

00:22:01 --> 00:22:01

hopefully,

00:22:03 --> 00:22:08

whoever's last words, Hirokawa, Mihaela, ILAHA, Illa, Allah, so in

00:22:08 --> 00:22:12

between that you want to read to them. And if you read to them, you

00:22:12 --> 00:22:16

see, a lot of people they say, I don't want my children addicted to

00:22:16 --> 00:22:19

watching. They don't read, we have all these books, but they don't

00:22:19 --> 00:22:23

read well. How are they going to read when you didn't show them?

00:22:23 --> 00:22:26

What the benefit of reading words? How do you show them the benefit

00:22:26 --> 00:22:31

of reading, you read to them from a young age. So then they will

00:22:31 --> 00:22:36

associate good stories, good morals, excitement in a book,

00:22:37 --> 00:22:40

because you read to them from a book. So then they'll want to pick

00:22:40 --> 00:22:44

up books and read them. So these are small, small things that we

00:22:44 --> 00:22:47

can do to make our home environment better. So what we

00:22:47 --> 00:22:51

told this man is, look, whether you're another is valid or not,

00:22:51 --> 00:22:54

you've got your whole life, all you do is just dedicate yourself

00:22:54 --> 00:22:58

to reading more. So you come to your home or your your scholars

00:22:58 --> 00:23:02

and you ask them what books can we read at home daily, right?

00:23:03 --> 00:23:05

Actually a number of people this marriage that they've started

00:23:05 --> 00:23:08

reading with husband and wife, not children, just husband and wife

00:23:09 --> 00:23:13

that let's do tidy from here. There's other simple, simple books

00:23:13 --> 00:23:16

that you can have where there's no confusion in those books. The

00:23:16 --> 00:23:20

other side of it should be okay. But there's, you have to avoid the

00:23:20 --> 00:23:23

because you don't want to start until you've learned more. And

00:23:23 --> 00:23:27

then you can you can take a course, then you can maybe teach

00:23:27 --> 00:23:31

that to your home. Basically at every time every day, just try to

00:23:31 --> 00:23:35

be doing something whether you're at work or whatever the case is.

00:23:35 --> 00:23:39

Now at work. One thing is that you want to increase yourself and

00:23:39 --> 00:23:42

enhance yourself. But the other one is that there's two things

00:23:42 --> 00:23:44

right one is you want to do good deeds. The other one is you have

00:23:44 --> 00:23:45

to stop bad deeds.

00:23:46 --> 00:23:51

So stopping bad deeds is you have to avoid places of fitna avoid

00:23:51 --> 00:23:54

places of temptation. Avoid places of sin.

00:23:55 --> 00:23:58

Now, many, many people, one of their biggest challenges is at

00:23:58 --> 00:24:02

work, because you have to go to work. And you can't always find a

00:24:02 --> 00:24:05

job. I mean, sometimes you do have crazy people once this woman she

00:24:05 --> 00:24:09

called me. And she said that I'm in a situation where my husband

00:24:09 --> 00:24:16

cannot find a job where he can where it's no free mixing, like

00:24:16 --> 00:24:20

towards the hull, you know. So because of the hidden forces me to

00:24:20 --> 00:24:21

go out to work.

00:24:22 --> 00:24:25

She was an ecologist forces me to go to work. I said, that's crazy.

00:24:27 --> 00:24:30

So you have strange people like that. But what we need to

00:24:30 --> 00:24:34

understand maybe this is moving into the marital issue a bit. But

00:24:34 --> 00:24:38

it's important because if you if you don't have stability at home,

00:24:38 --> 00:24:41

how are you going to have stability stability is very

00:24:41 --> 00:24:44

important. And one of the big complaints that women have is that

00:24:44 --> 00:24:47

my husband flirts too much with people. He has WhatsApp messages

00:24:47 --> 00:24:52

coming from coworkers. Now the thing is that in the husband's

00:24:52 --> 00:24:54

mind, he thinks this is harmless.

00:24:55 --> 00:24:58

It's just a colleague at work. It's just a few banter in English.

00:24:58 --> 00:24:59

We call this banter. It's just the

00:25:00 --> 00:25:06

Few innocent messages. But are they innocent? You know, you may

00:25:06 --> 00:25:10

think that this is my boundary, I don't want to commit Ceylon. This

00:25:10 --> 00:25:15

is just, it's just a laugh, it's just a bit of a joke, right?

00:25:15 --> 00:25:20

Because it's a bit of a situation with them for men or women, you're

00:25:20 --> 00:25:25

going to work, you're using seven, eight hours of the freshest time

00:25:25 --> 00:25:29

of your day. Right? And you're, you're going to get dressed to go

00:25:29 --> 00:25:33

to work, because you have to be presentable at work. So people

00:25:33 --> 00:25:37

spend time, you know, making themselves presentable in

00:25:37 --> 00:25:41

different ways. They go to work. And then what happens is, they

00:25:41 --> 00:25:45

using seven, eight hours of the most productive, freshest time of

00:25:45 --> 00:25:50

the day with colleagues, now what happens is that if I'm working

00:25:50 --> 00:25:56

with chicks on something, and we mashallah get success, we're going

00:25:56 --> 00:25:58

to feel Hamdulillah, you know, there's going to be a feeling of

00:25:58 --> 00:26:02

emotion closest to you, you don't do high fives, right, right.

00:26:04 --> 00:26:07

You know, they do high fives, and this is a way to just show, hey,

00:26:07 --> 00:26:11

you know, we did this together. And if you fail, you have a week

00:26:11 --> 00:26:15

you have a problem, then, you know, when you do something

00:26:15 --> 00:26:20

together with somebody, it creates a bond, you start learning about

00:26:20 --> 00:26:27

one another. So now, if you're, if you're at work in a project with a

00:26:27 --> 00:26:30

man is with a woman, right, there's going to be some emotion

00:26:30 --> 00:26:30

there.

00:26:32 --> 00:26:35

And a lot of marriages, they have problems because of this,

00:26:36 --> 00:26:40

then you come home, you're tired, seven, eight hours, tough day at

00:26:40 --> 00:26:41

work, you come home,

00:26:42 --> 00:26:48

you want to get into more casual, comfortable clothing, right, or

00:26:48 --> 00:26:49

pajamas.

00:26:50 --> 00:26:54

And you got no time for anything else. So then

00:26:56 --> 00:27:00

you can see the difficulty in this. And this is where

00:27:00 --> 00:27:03

Subhanallah from the feedback I get, I don't work in that kind of

00:27:03 --> 00:27:07

environment. But the feedback I get that this is where a lot of

00:27:07 --> 00:27:08

people have a big issue.

00:27:09 --> 00:27:12

And then sometimes what happens is that the waves become paranoid

00:27:12 --> 00:27:13

about this.

00:27:14 --> 00:27:16

And that's a difficult because then they start looking through

00:27:16 --> 00:27:21

the phones and emails, watching who is he going with.

00:27:22 --> 00:27:27

And sometimes there's nothing. And sometimes there's a bit but not

00:27:27 --> 00:27:33

they the men think it's not, for it's not going beyond the limits.

00:27:33 --> 00:27:37

But this is where it creates a lot of difficulty. That's why we want

00:27:37 --> 00:27:40

to do the best that we can. We want to do the best that we can

00:27:40 --> 00:27:45

and we want to you have to avoid, avoid the wrongs and focus and

00:27:45 --> 00:27:49

invest on what we have at home. So that's why Jehovah and ignorance

00:27:49 --> 00:27:52

will be one of the biggest calamities because with ignorance,

00:27:52 --> 00:27:56

we can improve our character. With ignorance, we can't improve our

00:27:56 --> 00:28:00

worship. With ignorance, we cannot improve our purity or anything

00:28:00 --> 00:28:05

else for that matter. Because luck, right? We, as I mentioned

00:28:05 --> 00:28:09

earlier, but there's new faces here. We're all created with

00:28:09 --> 00:28:12

different character. So for example, our brother has son he

00:28:12 --> 00:28:17

may be very generous by nature. Right? Some of us some people are

00:28:17 --> 00:28:20

very generous, but they're very angry. Meaning they get angry

00:28:20 --> 00:28:24

quickly. Some people, they're very calm, but they were very stingy.

00:28:24 --> 00:28:28

So they got one positive, they got one negative trait, right? Allah

00:28:28 --> 00:28:30

creates all of us with different traits.

00:28:32 --> 00:28:37

Now, if we understand what's good and what's bad, because there's

00:28:37 --> 00:28:40

some people who say that's how I am, I'm not going to change, US

00:28:40 --> 00:28:41

change.

00:28:43 --> 00:28:46

We all need to change and the reason the profits or loss of

00:28:46 --> 00:28:50

encourage good character is because it's something that can be

00:28:50 --> 00:28:55

improved. There's some people that are very arrogant. And what they

00:28:55 --> 00:28:59

do is they they basically control everything wherever they go.

00:29:00 --> 00:29:02

Everybody else has to just sit back

00:29:04 --> 00:29:08

I've seen such people that sometimes you know, they actually

00:29:08 --> 00:29:10

even say I'm not going to change this is the way how I am you

00:29:10 --> 00:29:13

better take it or leave it right if you don't then tells his wife

00:29:13 --> 00:29:16

you don't I gotta give you a divorce doesn't get if you don't

00:29:16 --> 00:29:19

want to live we get out of here. You know, they act like this, like

00:29:19 --> 00:29:23

a like a tyrant Subhanallah I've seen such people they've

00:29:23 --> 00:29:24

contracted the disease.

00:29:26 --> 00:29:28

They get cancer or something and you see they become totally

00:29:28 --> 00:29:29

different people.

00:29:31 --> 00:29:32

They become so humbled

00:29:34 --> 00:29:40

that you know, then you're like, is this the same person? Why are

00:29:40 --> 00:29:43

we waiting for Allah subhanaw taala to

00:29:45 --> 00:29:50

basically bring us to that level. We can change. We can definitely

00:29:50 --> 00:29:55

change. Where I benefited the most from is to read these books by

00:29:55 --> 00:29:58

Imam Ghazali Rahim Allah these where they talk about the day he

00:29:58 --> 00:29:59

speaks about the issue.

00:30:00 --> 00:30:05

For example, I had, I was imam in place in America, Santa Barbara

00:30:05 --> 00:30:10

for eight years. So how many how many weeks in how many July's in a

00:30:10 --> 00:30:13

year? 1552 56.

00:30:19 --> 00:30:24

As far as I know, it's about 52. Right? So I was the only imam in

00:30:24 --> 00:30:29

town. So I had to give 52 talks Jumada cream at least at least 45

00:30:30 --> 00:30:36

to 50. So I started reading him Amazon is a * of a theme. The

00:30:36 --> 00:30:38

section on Alpha to Lisa.

00:30:39 --> 00:30:43

There's 20 Alpha 20 calamities of the tongue he mentions.

00:30:44 --> 00:30:49

And he explains each one, from Hadith from Quran from Hadith from

00:30:49 --> 00:30:53

stories, and then the cures and stories and everything like that.

00:30:54 --> 00:30:58

And it's huge benefit you get from that. Because he talks about the

00:30:58 --> 00:31:01

various different no one is libre one is an amoeba, right tail

00:31:01 --> 00:31:03

bearing backbiting,

00:31:04 --> 00:31:06

swearing, cursing,

00:31:07 --> 00:31:09

the shuttlecock Phil Kalaam. I mean,

00:31:10 --> 00:31:14

the pretense of speaking and all of these things. If you don't know

00:31:14 --> 00:31:17

we could be doing these things. And we don't know. So we don't

00:31:17 --> 00:31:21

know it's bad. And others are not willing to tell us. Because not

00:31:21 --> 00:31:25

everybody is so honest. Not everybody is going to correct us

00:31:25 --> 00:31:29

properly. And when people do they criticize us. So we think it's

00:31:29 --> 00:31:32

wrong. You have to remember anytime somebody criticizes you,

00:31:33 --> 00:31:37

there's going to be exaggeration in there, but minus 30 40% At

00:31:37 --> 00:31:40

least 50 60% should be correct. Otherwise, why would they

00:31:40 --> 00:31:43

criticize you they can't criticize you for nothing. genuine people

00:31:43 --> 00:31:47

criticize you or insult you. It generally there's a bit of truth

00:31:47 --> 00:31:49

in there and a bit of exaggeration.

00:31:50 --> 00:31:54

So we have to learn from these things. So in sha Allah, that will

00:31:54 --> 00:31:57

make us better people in our luck in our character and that is

00:31:57 --> 00:32:02

Islamic. I don't know how to give dower to Muslims. Like when you're

00:32:02 --> 00:32:05

sitting with somebody, you just can't start speaking to them about

00:32:05 --> 00:32:08

it several others you must you must become Muslim and it's the

00:32:08 --> 00:32:10

wonderful deeds some people mashallah they do this naturally,

00:32:10 --> 00:32:14

I find that difficult. So I used to be worried a long time then I

00:32:14 --> 00:32:18

thought Subhanallah there's one that will we can all give to non

00:32:18 --> 00:32:22

Muslims, whether at work or whatever, which is to basically

00:32:22 --> 00:32:25

just improve our behavior. And our conduct people are looking for

00:32:25 --> 00:32:26

good content.

00:32:27 --> 00:32:32

Good Conduct will be will be witnessed, noticed and

00:32:32 --> 00:32:35

acknowledged and appreciated wherever you go, doesn't matter

00:32:35 --> 00:32:39

who it is. When you have good good character, whether that be in your

00:32:39 --> 00:32:42

dealings in just closing the door behind somebody and opening the

00:32:42 --> 00:32:45

door for somebody asking somebody wants a coffee, simple, simple

00:32:45 --> 00:32:48

things like that. You do it for the sake of Islam for the sake of

00:32:48 --> 00:32:50

Allah subhanaw taala and you're rewarded for it.

00:32:52 --> 00:32:57

See what I'm trying to say? Take this example. The Prophet

00:32:57 --> 00:33:02

sallallahu sallam said there are 70 Something branches of faith 77

00:33:02 --> 00:33:07

also brought 70 Plus branches of faith short but I'm sure I will

00:33:07 --> 00:33:08

show up with email.

00:33:09 --> 00:33:16

And in the he said, our Allah Kadima to La ilaha illAllah. And

00:33:16 --> 00:33:20

De La Hoya is emitted to other imata to another and italic will

00:33:20 --> 00:33:25

hire Oh, sure, but two minute human. So only three things I

00:33:25 --> 00:33:28

mentioned here. There's 70 Something branches and some Allama

00:33:28 --> 00:33:31

they've tried to put them together like you might be happy to explain

00:33:31 --> 00:33:34

all of them and so on. Says the highest one is to say La ilaha

00:33:34 --> 00:33:37

illAllah Muhammad Rasulullah that's the highest branch of human

00:33:37 --> 00:33:41

the branch of iman means that once you have Iman as the essence of

00:33:41 --> 00:33:44

your belief that these are the branches branches that it will

00:33:44 --> 00:33:48

sprout. These are the you can see the actions that will come out of

00:33:48 --> 00:33:53

it. So obviously La Ilaha illa Allah I declare, you know my goal

00:33:53 --> 00:33:57

amendment Dara it Allah what me decided? What Carla in the new

00:33:57 --> 00:34:00

middle Muslim, who better in speech?

00:34:01 --> 00:34:07

Right? except the one who invites to Islam. And at the end Allah

00:34:07 --> 00:34:10

says, And who says I am from the Muslims proudly I am from the

00:34:10 --> 00:34:16

Muslims, both in statement in coal and amble in action. So that's

00:34:16 --> 00:34:20

caramel iodide, Allah, the lowest degree is to move something aside.

00:34:21 --> 00:34:22

That's going to harm people.

00:34:24 --> 00:34:28

So for example, yesterday, I was in a party in London, and they

00:34:28 --> 00:34:32

have you know, these bikes you can hire. So one had fallen

00:34:33 --> 00:34:34

and it was rainy.

00:34:35 --> 00:34:39

And there was a lot of mess there. So we're trying to go pass now we

00:34:39 --> 00:34:42

had to jump over it. So at that time, we thought 200 That's the

00:34:42 --> 00:34:45

Hadith the Hadith says this is other people are going to want to

00:34:45 --> 00:34:48

go pass. So we picked it up. It was quite heavy. We picked it up.

00:34:49 --> 00:34:54

What the What the thing right here is that this is the lowest branch

00:34:54 --> 00:34:55

of iman.

00:34:56 --> 00:34:59

And if you're going past and you don't and you don't pick up

00:35:00 --> 00:35:03

Something which could be harmful to somebody. And you can't even do

00:35:03 --> 00:35:06

that. And that's the lowest branch of human. What made it the

00:35:06 --> 00:35:07

strength of your Eman B.

00:35:08 --> 00:35:11

If that's the lowest degree of your Eman, well higher or shorter

00:35:11 --> 00:35:14

wait a minute Hema. And then the prophesies speak specifically

00:35:14 --> 00:35:19

about higher, higher in English is very difficult to translate

00:35:19 --> 00:35:21

because you need concepts.

00:35:22 --> 00:35:26

You need concepts. And if people have lost the concept, there's no

00:35:26 --> 00:35:30

word for it. For example, in Arabic, we've got a term called

00:35:32 --> 00:35:37

Shama to Florida, which means to get happy when your enemy is being

00:35:37 --> 00:35:40

afflicted. You know, if your enemy gets afflicted, somehow you get

00:35:40 --> 00:35:44

excited that good for you, you deserve it type of thing. Of

00:35:44 --> 00:35:45

course, Shemitah.

00:35:46 --> 00:35:50

We're not supposed to be rejoicing when your brother becomes

00:35:50 --> 00:35:54

afflicted. Now in English, apparently, there was no used word

00:35:54 --> 00:35:56

for that. So they took it from German.

00:35:57 --> 00:35:59

Do you guys have a word for it in Swedish?

00:36:02 --> 00:36:06

That's short on Fridays German, by the way. Right? So he took it from

00:36:06 --> 00:36:09

English. That's what's used in English. But actually, you know

00:36:09 --> 00:36:13

what's interesting. There is a word in English is about 300 years

00:36:13 --> 00:36:17

old, which is archaic. We actually have it, but they've forgotten it.

00:36:17 --> 00:36:20

So it's in the dictionaries, but now they're using a German word

00:36:20 --> 00:36:22

because they've forgotten that it's a concept.

00:36:23 --> 00:36:27

So likewise, hire. Some people translate it in English as

00:36:27 --> 00:36:32

shyness, modesty, bashfulness. But none of them work perfectly for

00:36:32 --> 00:36:37

the concept of higher. And the reason the price is higher is Iman

00:36:37 --> 00:36:41

it's one main branch of Ema is because higher if you have, it

00:36:41 --> 00:36:44

will help you EMA. It's one of the most effective aspects of

00:36:44 --> 00:36:47

increasing your email. But now what I want to explain is that

00:36:47 --> 00:36:51

let's just say there's somebody who's shy by nature, introverts.

00:36:52 --> 00:36:53

Anybody like that here?

00:36:54 --> 00:36:57

Somebody who's introverted, who's shy, who doesn't speak much in

00:36:57 --> 00:36:57

public.

00:36:59 --> 00:37:00

Right? There's a few people like this.

00:37:02 --> 00:37:06

Do they get reward for the shyness, natural shyness?

00:37:08 --> 00:37:09

Will they be real? Is this higher?

00:37:11 --> 00:37:12

Will they be rewarded for this?

00:37:14 --> 00:37:15

What do you think?

00:37:16 --> 00:37:22

So let's just say that there's an opportunity to do sin. The only

00:37:22 --> 00:37:24

reason they don't do it is because they too shy.

00:37:25 --> 00:37:27

They don't want to push themselves forward. Nothing to do with Islam,

00:37:28 --> 00:37:31

nothing to do with fear of Allah. They're just too shy to make a

00:37:31 --> 00:37:31

move.

00:37:32 --> 00:37:34

Will they be rewarded for this?

00:37:36 --> 00:37:38

They're not rewarded for that they're going to be sinful,

00:37:38 --> 00:37:41

because they didn't do anything. But they're not going to be

00:37:41 --> 00:37:45

rewarded for either. But if you stayed away, because at no La

00:37:45 --> 00:37:47

Hawla, wala Quwata illa biLlah This is wrong.

00:37:48 --> 00:37:49

And

00:37:50 --> 00:37:54

you stayed away you shy to do it, because you know, Allah is

00:37:54 --> 00:37:55

watching you get rewarded.

00:37:57 --> 00:38:02

You see the difference? So now let me explain something higher. Visa

00:38:02 --> 00:38:06

is higher Fitri which means that I'm just naturally a shy person,

00:38:06 --> 00:38:12

naturally an introverted person. I'm not. I don't curse people. I

00:38:12 --> 00:38:16

don't respond to people. You don't get rewarded for that. But if your

00:38:16 --> 00:38:20

shyness is for the sake of Allah, then that is higher, because

00:38:20 --> 00:38:24

that's higher Imani. The way their salaries, this is higher Fitri and

00:38:24 --> 00:38:29

higher guestspy. So one is just natural. That's just the way I am.

00:38:29 --> 00:38:34

And the other one is where you have acquired this hire or you've

00:38:34 --> 00:38:38

implemented it. But to be honest, if the person who is naturally

00:38:38 --> 00:38:42

shy, can learn about this, then much of his life can become higher

00:38:42 --> 00:38:44

Imani because then he'll be doing for the right it'll be easy for

00:38:44 --> 00:38:49

him because that's how he is anyway. See the difference? So

00:38:51 --> 00:38:55

there's so many things like this. Another one is when the Prophet

00:38:55 --> 00:38:58

sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to Almighty Allah and who's the

00:38:58 --> 00:39:02

most beloved to you? So he said that you know you are more beloved

00:39:02 --> 00:39:06

to me than everything except myself and so on the promises and

00:39:06 --> 00:39:08

said that's not enough. So then he turned around for a bit and then

00:39:08 --> 00:39:12

he said, okay, yes, now I can say you are more beloved to me than

00:39:12 --> 00:39:15

everything including myself and everything. So then the prophet

00:39:15 --> 00:39:19

Elijah said to him, you know, now you've got the true EMA.

00:39:20 --> 00:39:23

Again the same thing what is Iman

00:39:24 --> 00:39:28

sorry, hope there's some things which you have a natural love for.

00:39:31 --> 00:39:32

That's called Hooked.

00:39:33 --> 00:39:35

It's just a natural love I have for something.

00:39:37 --> 00:39:41

If you have no natural love for prayer, or solitude or liquor,

00:39:42 --> 00:39:44

then we need to create that

00:39:45 --> 00:39:46

destiny you call that

00:39:48 --> 00:39:49

how to create love for something?

00:39:51 --> 00:39:54

Because inshallah if we can create love for them.

00:39:56 --> 00:39:58

That becomes easy when you do something out of love, how to

00:39:58 --> 00:39:59

create love for something

00:40:00 --> 00:40:00

If

00:40:01 --> 00:40:05

you look at his qualities, earlier on today, we discovered that the

00:40:05 --> 00:40:10

way you love something, what is love, love is an inclination

00:40:10 --> 00:40:11

towards beauty.

00:40:12 --> 00:40:15

Love is an inclination towards something that you will benefit

00:40:15 --> 00:40:19

from. That's where you can love. So now if you can convince

00:40:19 --> 00:40:25

yourself that Islam emaan, Allah subhanaw taala is beneficial for

00:40:25 --> 00:40:29

me in this world in the Hereafter, you will automatically become

00:40:29 --> 00:40:30

inclined towards it.

00:40:32 --> 00:40:35

But how you're going to understand that how are you going to create

00:40:35 --> 00:40:39

that with knowledge, the more you read, the more you read the Quran.

00:40:40 --> 00:40:42

The more you read that hadith the more you read, listen to the

00:40:42 --> 00:40:44

Guru's you start seeing the beauty, you start seeing the

00:40:44 --> 00:40:48

benefit, that is only Allah that can hear helped me, for sure in

00:40:48 --> 00:40:50

the hereafter. In this one, I think lots of people can help me,

00:40:51 --> 00:40:55

really, it's Allah, but we only we look at a spark via so in the

00:40:55 --> 00:40:59

hereafter. So the benefit of that is that even a medicine that you

00:40:59 --> 00:41:01

don't like that is bitter.

00:41:03 --> 00:41:07

If you start looking at the benefits of it, slowly, slowly,

00:41:07 --> 00:41:11

you will start to like to take it. And this is the way the world

00:41:11 --> 00:41:16

works. You have to get yourself to love something, to prefer

00:41:16 --> 00:41:20

something for you to be able to bring it into your life. So now,

00:41:20 --> 00:41:24

what we want to do is in our life, we want to try to introduce some

00:41:24 --> 00:41:28

of God in our life, because Allah basically lied to me.

00:41:30 --> 00:41:34

To be honest, the heart needs the vicar of Allah. And if we don't

00:41:34 --> 00:41:37

have it, then we're going to be like a fish out of water. But we

00:41:37 --> 00:41:40

still don't want to do a thicker because we just don't realize that

00:41:40 --> 00:41:43

because it's difficult. Shaytan doesn't want us to do it. However,

00:41:43 --> 00:41:46

it's difficult. We tell you that you know, all you have to do is

00:41:46 --> 00:41:49

100 is too far in the morning and evening.

00:41:50 --> 00:41:52

100 Salawat, under Promise of Allah Islam in the morning and

00:41:52 --> 00:41:56

evenings, the prophets Allah Islam has done so much for us. Can we

00:41:56 --> 00:41:59

not even do a bit of Salawat in the morning and evening for him?

00:42:00 --> 00:42:03

Whereas our whole Eman if we see the value of it, it's because of

00:42:03 --> 00:42:03

him.

00:42:05 --> 00:42:07

A bit of Quran in a bit of Quran.

00:42:09 --> 00:42:12

A bit of meditation. That's all you need to do. But it's difficult

00:42:12 --> 00:42:15

to bring that in your life because there's too much competition.

00:42:16 --> 00:42:19

The competition is too much everything we do we already have

00:42:19 --> 00:42:23

enough time that we do this. What do you think the majority of

00:42:23 --> 00:42:26

people spend and waste the most time and

00:42:29 --> 00:42:31

one of the biggest waste time is the phone today.

00:42:33 --> 00:42:36

I remember once I had to get somebody's phone number,

00:42:37 --> 00:42:39

and a SCOTUS phone number.

00:42:40 --> 00:42:43

And I haven't saved it. But I know he's on a group I'm on.

00:42:44 --> 00:42:47

But that group is one of the few groups that actually read all the

00:42:47 --> 00:42:50

messages. And there were 2000 messages.

00:42:51 --> 00:42:55

Yeah, 2000 2000. But it was after Ramadan, I think. So I haven't

00:42:55 --> 00:42:58

read them. And I tried to read all the messages. But that's the only

00:42:58 --> 00:43:01

one I like, okay, I'd really one day. Now I need his number. So now

00:43:01 --> 00:43:05

I have to look at the messages, make sure I read all of them.

00:43:05 --> 00:43:06

Because you know, otherwise, they go to the bottom and you have to

00:43:06 --> 00:43:11

go back up to look for them. So I started about 11 o'clock at night,

00:43:11 --> 00:43:14

I said, Okay, I'll quickly read it, and I'll get his number. So I

00:43:14 --> 00:43:19

can contact him one and a half hours for 2000 messages.

00:43:20 --> 00:43:23

And if you actually do a search, if you actually look depending on

00:43:23 --> 00:43:26

how many groups and messages you're on, it's hundreds and

00:43:26 --> 00:43:30

hundreds and hundreds and 1000s of messages a day. That's a big waste

00:43:30 --> 00:43:32

of time. A lot of people they can't believe me, there's I don't

00:43:32 --> 00:43:36

have time for the team. I want to do it. But I don't have time to

00:43:36 --> 00:43:38

read Quran, I don't have time to do this.

00:43:39 --> 00:43:43

And you know what they do have time. They just have, they just,

00:43:44 --> 00:43:47

they don't have time, because it's all occupied, but it's not

00:43:47 --> 00:43:48

occupied with the right thing.

00:43:49 --> 00:43:52

If you really put your hand on your heart, you will notice that

00:43:52 --> 00:43:56

we waste too much time nowadays. It is so easy to do it, somebody

00:43:56 --> 00:44:00

on WhatsApp sends you a video of something useful may be

00:44:00 --> 00:44:03

interesting. So I start looking at it.

00:44:04 --> 00:44:07

And I finished a video there'll be 10 other ideas that pop up. And

00:44:07 --> 00:44:11

that's and this it's very clever the algorithms they know what you

00:44:11 --> 00:44:13

watch, they know and it'll be generally things that you've seen

00:44:13 --> 00:44:16

before. So your knifes will go back to it, you start seeing that.

00:44:16 --> 00:44:19

And now let me just see this one, then let me see this one. And a

00:44:19 --> 00:44:22

few hours have passed just like that. And we say we don't have

00:44:22 --> 00:44:22

time

00:44:25 --> 00:44:27

as exactly where it's just we just don't have time because we're just

00:44:27 --> 00:44:30

too occupied in wasting our time.

00:44:31 --> 00:44:35

And, you know, 10 years 15 years ago, 20 years ago, if you wanted

00:44:35 --> 00:44:37

to waste time, you'd have to actually call someone

00:44:38 --> 00:44:43

or you'd have to go outside to the cafe or for roads or outside the

00:44:43 --> 00:44:46

masjid or whatever. Now you don't need anybody to waste time with

00:44:46 --> 00:44:49

because you've got enough time to use them. So it is a new

00:44:49 --> 00:44:52

challenge. It's a new challenge. So

00:44:54 --> 00:44:59

these are lots of disparate ideas. Because the brother told me I

00:44:59 --> 00:44:59

asked him What's your

00:45:00 --> 00:45:02

Oh, what's your objective of this title of the talk?

00:45:04 --> 00:45:06

So, he said well, this is that a lot of people are feeling

00:45:06 --> 00:45:08

challenged and so on, so forth. So, this is what we want to do.

00:45:09 --> 00:45:13

So, to conclude, let us stop wasting too much time

00:45:14 --> 00:45:18

and fix the time for everything. Then the broker will come in our

00:45:18 --> 00:45:23

time. Let us introduce in our life a number of Gods simply put, just

00:45:23 --> 00:45:28

believe me if you do this, this is science by the way. If you do this

00:45:28 --> 00:45:31

for three months, and it doesn't work, you come and tell us

00:45:32 --> 00:45:35

but if you do 100 is too far in the morning but stuff for Allah

00:45:35 --> 00:45:38

has not been cool. It can be one or two with 100 times in the

00:45:38 --> 00:45:41

morning and evening. The benefit of that will be that if you only

00:45:41 --> 00:45:44

do it in the date in the morning, all everything all the wrongs

00:45:44 --> 00:45:47

you've done from the nighttime inshallah will be forgiven. When

00:45:47 --> 00:45:51

you do it in the evening, all the day's wrongs will be forgiven. So

00:45:51 --> 00:45:53

we're constantly like taking two showers a day.

00:45:54 --> 00:45:58

Right. That's purification. Then you do salawat and the Prophet

00:45:58 --> 00:46:03

sallallahu sallam. He said, When Salah Allah Yahweh had some

00:46:03 --> 00:46:06

Illawarra he'd be hashanah where we sent one blessing on me. Allah

00:46:06 --> 00:46:10

was intent on him. Even one blessing upon us is Subhanallah

00:46:10 --> 00:46:15

that's amazing. So you do 100 salawat and you get 1000 Blessings

00:46:15 --> 00:46:15

on you.

00:46:16 --> 00:46:19

Right? And we need that because that's like perfuming that's

00:46:19 --> 00:46:23

blessing morning and evening. Then you read a bit of Quran Quran has

00:46:23 --> 00:46:27

a huge bollock. It's shift. It said, what is it?

00:46:29 --> 00:46:33

It's a healing of the heart. It's a light of the eyes. And without

00:46:33 --> 00:46:36

the Quran will be nowhere. And there's a special bollock in the

00:46:36 --> 00:46:39

Quran. So you read some Quran every day, even if it's one page,

00:46:39 --> 00:46:44

half a page, whatever it is, and then just spend five, seven

00:46:44 --> 00:46:44

minutes with Allah.

00:46:46 --> 00:46:50

You saying I'm praying. The problem is that if our prayer is

00:46:50 --> 00:46:53

mechanical, then we're not really spending time with it. We're doing

00:46:53 --> 00:46:57

the motions. So how would you force yourself to learn that

00:46:59 --> 00:47:05

and the phone call and concentration and devotion and

00:47:05 --> 00:47:06

focus.

00:47:08 --> 00:47:11

Just sit five, seven minutes a day, just sit

00:47:13 --> 00:47:15

and do some kind of meditation. There's many, many different types

00:47:15 --> 00:47:19

of meditation. One I will suggest which is very powerful, very

00:47:19 --> 00:47:22

useful, you can try it and you will feel the contentment. You

00:47:22 --> 00:47:26

just sit close your eyes just look down make sure nobody's bothering

00:47:26 --> 00:47:30

you. Put your phone off or silent or whatever or beeps, lights on

00:47:30 --> 00:47:33

your phone off. And you just sit down close your eyes look down.

00:47:33 --> 00:47:37

Just focus on your heart. And just imagine Allah's Mercy is

00:47:37 --> 00:47:40

descending on your heart you because Allah's Mercy is always on

00:47:40 --> 00:47:43

you just want to attract some of it to your heart. And then you

00:47:43 --> 00:47:47

just heard says, hola, hola. Hola. Hola without your tongue, just

00:47:47 --> 00:47:51

just with your just with just with your heart. It provides so much

00:47:51 --> 00:47:52

peace.

00:47:53 --> 00:47:58

Allah says with charisma with charisma, Arabic, remember the

00:47:58 --> 00:48:02

Name of your Lord? You say I must remember Allah, how do you

00:48:02 --> 00:48:05

remember Allah? What are you going to think of when you remember

00:48:05 --> 00:48:05

Allah?

00:48:06 --> 00:48:09

You know, people say you were told, remember Allah and people

00:48:09 --> 00:48:11

like what do I think of?

00:48:12 --> 00:48:13

You can't

00:48:14 --> 00:48:19

put Allah in a form. What Allah tells us is with charisma, Arabic,

00:48:20 --> 00:48:22

remember the Name of your Lord.

00:48:23 --> 00:48:27

So you think of Allah's Name and Allah will give you from there.

00:48:27 --> 00:48:32

Just taking the name of Allah is so beneficial. La ilaha illa

00:48:32 --> 00:48:36

Allah, Allah, you don't have to make any major movement of your

00:48:36 --> 00:48:36

tongue.

00:48:38 --> 00:48:42

Just look at how easy this word is. This term is law. Just Just

00:48:42 --> 00:48:47

look at my tongue. La ilaha illa Allah not a movement, you could be

00:48:47 --> 00:48:50

sitting on a bus on a tram however you go to work as in La ilaha

00:48:50 --> 00:48:53

illallah nobody even needs to know but mashallah de you are connected

00:48:53 --> 00:48:54

to Allah.

00:48:56 --> 00:49:00

La ilaha illallah Allah so anyway, you sit for five, seven minutes

00:49:00 --> 00:49:02

and you just think about this. The benefit of this is that it's so

00:49:02 --> 00:49:07

powerful when you do thicker with your with your tongue on a test.

00:49:07 --> 00:49:12

But if I take at the speed and I'm saying Subhan, Allah Alhamdulillah

00:49:12 --> 00:49:17

Allah Akbar, it's wonderful. It's wonderful. The only issue is that

00:49:17 --> 00:49:21

our mind may be somewhere else. We're doing the system good. It's

00:49:21 --> 00:49:26

still better than not doing it. But when you actually do this five

00:49:26 --> 00:49:30

minutes, it will focus it will force you to focus on Allah.

00:49:31 --> 00:49:34

And a lot of people will find focusing even for five, seven

00:49:34 --> 00:49:37

minutes very difficult because we're in a we're in a distracted

00:49:37 --> 00:49:40

generation, our generation very distracted, because the phone is

00:49:40 --> 00:49:44

distracts us multi you know, just check this no, do check that one

00:49:44 --> 00:49:49

from here from the very distracted. So just five, seven

00:49:49 --> 00:49:53

minutes, just focus. Every time you get distracted, come back and

00:49:53 --> 00:49:58

focus just five 710 minutes maybe and you will soon see inshallah

00:49:58 --> 00:49:59

that the light of Allah will

00:50:00 --> 00:50:04

Come in your heart that will improve our prayer. Our salad we

00:50:04 --> 00:50:08

can constantly practice we it will benefit us in every other way

00:50:08 --> 00:50:09

inshallah.

00:50:10 --> 00:50:13

But this will be very difficult to introduce in our life, you may do

00:50:13 --> 00:50:17

it tomorrow, right because you've just heard it right now you may be

00:50:17 --> 00:50:19

pumped up, you might do it tomorrow, you might do it the next

00:50:19 --> 00:50:20

day, but then after that, you won't.

00:50:21 --> 00:50:24

So the way you do it is that as if not I thought you love him. Allah

00:50:24 --> 00:50:29

says he says that you force yourself to do it first. You have

00:50:29 --> 00:50:34

to You see, you have a TV in your life in your daily routine,

00:50:35 --> 00:50:38

everything you do, okay, this time is for YouTube, this time is for

00:50:38 --> 00:50:42

soccer, this time is for you have now we need to push it in. Once

00:50:42 --> 00:50:47

you push it in, then it becomes part of your your knifes becomes

00:50:47 --> 00:50:49

used to it, then inshallah it'll be easy.

00:50:50 --> 00:50:55

So that's why at least once a week, you should also listen to a

00:50:55 --> 00:50:58

spiritually motivating lecture. Because you will start feeling

00:50:58 --> 00:51:01

down again, when you feel the spiritual motivation if you come

00:51:01 --> 00:51:05

to the modulus if you come to the class, and if you're not, if

00:51:05 --> 00:51:07

you're somewhere else, you can't come physically then listen to

00:51:07 --> 00:51:08

something online.

00:51:09 --> 00:51:14

So in sha Allah, as I said, if for just a few weeks, you do solo,

00:51:14 --> 00:51:18

still for Salawat Quran reading and some of these meditations

00:51:19 --> 00:51:21

and you still don't feel close to Allah.

00:51:23 --> 00:51:26

Unless you bring lots of sins. You have to try to avoid sins as well.

00:51:26 --> 00:51:28

If you don't feel close, or come and come and tell us

00:51:30 --> 00:51:33

but this is guaranteed it will work in sha Allah because the name

00:51:33 --> 00:51:36

of Allah has this has this blessing. So if we inshallah in

00:51:36 --> 00:51:42

bring that in our life, and we learn more so that we can make our

00:51:42 --> 00:51:44

work for the sake of Allah for the sake of taking care of our

00:51:44 --> 00:51:48

families, whatever mundane jobs we do at home or whatever the case

00:51:48 --> 00:51:51

is, that insha Allah that will take us closer to Allah and we

00:51:51 --> 00:51:55

will feel inshallah much more connected. And anybody who feels

00:51:55 --> 00:51:58

connected to Allah subhanaw taala he's, he or she is an inspiration

00:51:58 --> 00:51:59

for others.

00:52:00 --> 00:52:03

Otherwise you're complaining or we're so far from Allah, we so far

00:52:03 --> 00:52:06

from Allah, that in itself is a bad complaint. It's a good thing

00:52:06 --> 00:52:09

that you feel like that. But we want to be closer to Allah

00:52:09 --> 00:52:12

subhanho wa Taala so we ask Allah subhanaw taala to really bring us

00:52:12 --> 00:52:15

close to him, grant us His love. Allahu Merzouga hubback Wow, but

00:52:15 --> 00:52:18

my environment now boring. That is a door that we should always make.

00:52:19 --> 00:52:23

Right? Allahu Merzouga which means Oh Allah, grant us your love, and

00:52:23 --> 00:52:27

the love of those whose love benefits us in your court. That

00:52:27 --> 00:52:30

will insha Allah Allah will then surround us with people who will

00:52:30 --> 00:52:31

not take us away.

00:52:33 --> 00:52:35

So that's all I have to say for today.
