Germaine another important point about zakat that we must keep in

mind is that the payer of zakat who it's due from, they must know

that it's due upon them. And when the Zakat is being given, they

command or they order or they instruct that it be given, for the

reason I mentioned this is that sometimes you get somebody who is

now 21 years old, or 22. And they realize that, hey, I should be

paying zakat. But they've been making money since the 16, or 17,

or 18. But in all of this time, the father may have been paying

zakat on their behalf, but without them knowing the father was maybe

looking after their money, the great savings from childhood or

whatever. And when they became barlick, because after you become

mature, right age of 1415, you're supposed to pay Zakat is if you

have money beyond the nisab value. We'll discuss the nisab in another

clip, but the main point here is that the father knew but he didn't

discuss that with the child, the son or daughter, he was just

taking the money out, that would not be valid, because the son

didn't even know or the daughter didn't even know that God was

necessary. That's why for all of those, you'd actually have to all

of those years, you'd actually have to pay zakat again, likewise,

if the wife had some money, and the husband was looking after it

or the other way around, and one of them was just paying zakat

every year without telling the other person and the other person

was didn't know about it or didn't even mention mention it again does

it God would not be because that God is a worship and worships need

an intention. So you need at least that intention from the giver of

it not from somebody else. So that's why whoever it is do from

must have made the intention. Now once you make an intention, say if

I told my wife you give me you pay my god for me, I tell my father,

please pay my god for me. That's fine. Right? That's fine. As long

as every year I've got the consciousness that he's going to

pay for me and he's fine with paying it for me. That's
