Bismillah R Rahman r Rahim Al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil Alameen wa

00:00:04 --> 00:00:08

salatu salam ala say even more Celine while earlier he was so

00:00:08 --> 00:00:13

happy he was seldom at the Sleeman Kathira en la Yomi Deen another

00:00:16 --> 00:00:20

call Allahu Tabata Isla feel called and Nigeria will funnel

00:00:20 --> 00:00:24

Hamid Kula, you'll see benna Ilana Khattab Allahu lenah Who mo

00:00:24 --> 00:00:29

learner, wide Allah He fell yet our Khalil me known. Allah

00:00:29 --> 00:00:32

subhanho wa Taala says in the Quran, Quran and you'll see but

00:00:32 --> 00:00:36

this is sort of the Toba that nothing shall ever happen to us

00:00:36 --> 00:00:40

except what ALLAH SubhanA wa Tada has ordained for us who are Molana

00:00:40 --> 00:00:45

he's our Mola. He's our patron. He's our caretaker, he looks after

00:00:45 --> 00:00:51

us. Moloch can be translated as Lord, helper and protector. Why

00:00:51 --> 00:00:55

Allah He followed me known and in Allah, that the believers put

00:00:55 --> 00:00:59

their trust in Allah let the believers put it put their trust,

00:00:59 --> 00:01:02

it's only the believers that are going to be putting their trust in

00:01:02 --> 00:01:07

Allah subhanaw taala. So while we find ourselves in this situation,

00:01:08 --> 00:01:11

I just want to clarify first, that this is not some kind of official

00:01:11 --> 00:01:14

Juma hautbois. That's generally done in a masjid followed by a

00:01:14 --> 00:01:19

prayer. This is just an informal sermon, because most people, at

00:01:19 --> 00:01:23

least in this country, and maybe other parts of the world as well,

00:01:24 --> 00:01:26

they won't be attending July in the masjid.

00:01:27 --> 00:01:30

There'll be just sufficing at home, with their prayers at home.

00:01:31 --> 00:01:36

So this is just to keep that in mind. And to provide a reminder,

00:01:36 --> 00:01:41

where the kids are in the vichara, than feral Momineen remind for a

00:01:41 --> 00:01:45

reminder, it's beneficial for the believers. So it's just to give

00:01:45 --> 00:01:48

that Friday that everybody is used to. So we thought we'd make that

00:01:48 --> 00:01:57

useful. And so to carry on, we find ourselves in this particular

00:01:57 --> 00:02:01

particular predict predicament, and lots of people are very

00:02:01 --> 00:02:06

bewildered. And I've heard from different people that there's

00:02:06 --> 00:02:10

people who are really getting paranoid and losing a lot of

00:02:10 --> 00:02:13

sleep, even though they may not be physically sick. And they may not

00:02:13 --> 00:02:19

have caught any viruses yet, and may never do, actually, but

00:02:19 --> 00:02:22

because of the hype around that there's children who can't sleep

00:02:22 --> 00:02:23

at night.

00:02:24 --> 00:02:28

That's why we, as parents, and others need to manage this well.

00:02:28 --> 00:02:32

And not, we need to take it seriously, obviously, because it

00:02:32 --> 00:02:36

is definitely serious. And we need to take all precautions, etc. But

00:02:36 --> 00:02:39

at the same time, we also don't want to make it such that people

00:02:39 --> 00:02:43

start losing hope. So what we have is, you know, they say that

00:02:43 --> 00:02:47

there's 80% of the people may catch this. And then there's the

00:02:47 --> 00:02:51

statistics from other countries and so on. And based on that, what

00:02:51 --> 00:02:54

the governments have told us what the health professionals are

00:02:54 --> 00:02:56

telling us, they're telling us that you need to wash up like

00:02:56 --> 00:03:00

this, you need to keep a distance, you need to have isolation, you

00:03:00 --> 00:03:03

need to have this than the other. And you know, we need to listen to

00:03:03 --> 00:03:06

all of that. Now, once we've listened to all of them, we're

00:03:06 --> 00:03:09

doing our best we've hatched down, we're staying indoors, we're not

00:03:09 --> 00:03:13

doing anything that is going to you know, put ourselves at risk.

00:03:15 --> 00:03:18

Now as a person of faith, and I'm not just talking to the Muslims

00:03:18 --> 00:03:22

here, I want this to be an addressed to even non Muslims,

00:03:22 --> 00:03:25

people of other faiths who believe in a God, right, who believe that

00:03:25 --> 00:03:29

there's a creator who believes that this creator, this God, this

00:03:29 --> 00:03:33

Lord is in control of the universe and is essentially in charge of

00:03:33 --> 00:03:37

all the affairs of this universe. And he is basically the omniscient

00:03:37 --> 00:03:42

Lord, he knows what he's doing. And he is the omnipotent Lord, He

00:03:42 --> 00:03:45

has power over everything. He hears everything, he understands

00:03:45 --> 00:03:48

everything, he plans, everything, everything is done according to

00:03:48 --> 00:03:52

His will. So anybody who believes in this, Lord, we need to come

00:03:52 --> 00:03:56

together in this regard. And there is a responsibility upon us,

00:03:56 --> 00:04:00

rather than responsibility. We actually have some more because

00:04:00 --> 00:04:02

once we've done everything that the doctors and medical

00:04:02 --> 00:04:05

professionals and governments have advised us to do, right, what do

00:04:05 --> 00:04:10

we do next? How do we how do we deal with the whole psychology

00:04:10 --> 00:04:13

behind this? How do we deal with our spirituality? Is there

00:04:13 --> 00:04:17

something else that we can do? Do our faiths tell us something more

00:04:17 --> 00:04:20

than this? What else should we do? That's a very, very important

00:04:20 --> 00:04:25

question. And that's why we really need to our role as believers in

00:04:25 --> 00:04:30

God, Muslims and others, it goes actually beyond just hatching down

00:04:30 --> 00:04:34

and doing that there's a lot more we can do and I think the rest of

00:04:34 --> 00:04:38

the people have to we need to do enough that we can actually help

00:04:38 --> 00:04:41

the rest of the people as well. This is the time to actually turn

00:04:41 --> 00:04:44

to our Lord. God says in the Quran, Allah says in the Quran, I

00:04:44 --> 00:04:47

mean even say in Arabic for Pharaoh, Illa Allah, hasten to

00:04:47 --> 00:04:52

Allah run to Allah. Right run to Allah escaped to Allah. Now what

00:04:52 --> 00:04:54

we have to understand is that

00:04:56 --> 00:05:00

this is not just to thinking about Allah subhanaw taala is not

00:05:00 --> 00:05:03

Just to manage our sanity, that's an important aspects. But beyond

00:05:03 --> 00:05:10

that, it's also asking him to help us to invoke his mercy for all of

00:05:10 --> 00:05:14

us, for the entire mankind, for our country, for people in general

00:05:14 --> 00:05:18

for for this to be lifted, because clearly there's something going

00:05:18 --> 00:05:21

on, I mean, understanding that this virus began, there's many

00:05:21 --> 00:05:25

viruses, there's many Corona viruses as well, and they're

00:05:25 --> 00:05:29

around, but this particular mutation of it, or I would

00:05:29 --> 00:05:33

probably say that the way they started, the way where it started,

00:05:33 --> 00:05:37

where it's going, and the effect it's having in different places,

00:05:37 --> 00:05:39

that's all under the will of Allah. Right? And there's no doubt

00:05:39 --> 00:05:42

about that. I mean, what else are you going to say? I mean, people

00:05:42 --> 00:05:47

are bewildered scientists, medical practitioners, biologists, people

00:05:47 --> 00:05:50

who deal with viruses, they're all bewildered by this one, right?

00:05:51 --> 00:05:56

There's new ideas, new advices precautions coming up, policies

00:05:56 --> 00:06:00

are changing. Heads of States have this prime ministers have this

00:06:00 --> 00:06:03

President's may have been afflicted by this. And so on and

00:06:03 --> 00:06:06

so forth. This is something that is overtaking everybody. This is

00:06:06 --> 00:06:09

just Allah showing his power. And we can't be blind to that fact. We

00:06:09 --> 00:06:13

can't be blind to that fact. Because pretty much from a non God

00:06:13 --> 00:06:17

perspective, none God non divine perspective, pretty much

00:06:17 --> 00:06:21

everything is out there. Everybody knows what you can do. up to that

00:06:21 --> 00:06:24

level. But there's another level that we need to tap into,

00:06:24 --> 00:06:27

especially people that are people of faith. Because look at this,

00:06:27 --> 00:06:30

you got viruses everywhere, right? You got viruses, suddenly, this

00:06:30 --> 00:06:34

particular one in a particular area of China suddenly gets

00:06:34 --> 00:06:38

activated. Right now where they started from a bat and how it

00:06:38 --> 00:06:40

started, Allah knows best but regardless of it, the reality is

00:06:40 --> 00:06:43

in front of us, it's gone everywhere. And we're being

00:06:43 --> 00:06:47

afflicted by it. Allah subhanaw taala, he literally just started

00:06:47 --> 00:06:51

it. He opera, he basically started its operation, it became activated

00:06:51 --> 00:06:55

and it started doing its thing, as as much as it's going around and

00:06:55 --> 00:07:00

the havoc that it's wreaking throughout Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:07:00 --> 00:07:03

in his hands is the power to literally just turn it off,

00:07:04 --> 00:07:08

deactivated it, and it can disappear as far as you know, even

00:07:08 --> 00:07:12

faster than it started miraculously. But for that there's

00:07:12 --> 00:07:15

a reason why this has happened. And Allah subhanaw taala is

00:07:15 --> 00:07:19

waiting for us to do something to reach that level of

00:07:21 --> 00:07:25

invocation to Allah and treating Allah humility to Allah turning to

00:07:25 --> 00:07:29

him seeking forgiveness, removing the burdens from ourselves, so

00:07:29 --> 00:07:33

that he will do that for us. It's all in his hands. He's all in his

00:07:33 --> 00:07:37

hands and Allah is merciful. And we are told time and time again in

00:07:37 --> 00:07:42

our scripture in our books, that you do Toba, you repent, you turn

00:07:42 --> 00:07:47

to him in penitence, you turned to him in repentance, and you seek

00:07:47 --> 00:07:50

forgiveness for your vices and wrongs and everything. And Allah

00:07:50 --> 00:07:52

is Forgiving, God is forgiving. There's absolutely no doubt about

00:07:52 --> 00:07:53

that. So

00:07:55 --> 00:07:58

where it started, how it started, how it's proliferated and spread,

00:07:59 --> 00:08:02

there's has to be reasons for that. Now, I'm not trying to say

00:08:02 --> 00:08:04

we need to go into conspiracy theories about this. There's lots

00:08:04 --> 00:08:07

out there. That's not what I'm talking about. What we want to

00:08:07 --> 00:08:11

talk about here is that we need to reflect over Allah's command.

00:08:11 --> 00:08:16

Allah's Will Allah's plan, and what he has in store for us and

00:08:16 --> 00:08:18

what our faiths tell us that we need to how we need to respond to

00:08:18 --> 00:08:22

this hour. I mean, definitely our actions have got something to

00:08:22 --> 00:08:26

every individual needs to think what is of my action, never think

00:08:26 --> 00:08:31

that our individual wrong, actions are insignificant. We live in a

00:08:31 --> 00:08:34

quantum world, everything affects something else, we have numerous

00:08:34 --> 00:08:36

traditions from the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa

00:08:36 --> 00:08:40

sallam to explain that to, to highlight that idea, I want to

00:08:40 --> 00:08:43

keep this short, so I'm not going to go into it. But I'm sure you've

00:08:43 --> 00:08:47

heard of things like that, where a calamity comes up on people. And

00:08:47 --> 00:08:49

then actually the Allahu Anhu asked the Prophet salallahu Salam,

00:08:49 --> 00:08:52

but there's such an such a righteous person and such and such

00:08:52 --> 00:08:55

a racist person in that area. How come you know what's gonna happen

00:08:55 --> 00:08:58

to them? And basically, the rocks are awesome said that, did that

00:08:58 --> 00:09:03

person ever protest against the wrong, so we're all guilty at some

00:09:03 --> 00:09:06

level or the other in whatever, whether in oppressing ourselves or

00:09:06 --> 00:09:11

others, or not basically speaking out against oppression, against

00:09:11 --> 00:09:14

abuses against so many different things. So we all need to have the

00:09:14 --> 00:09:18

introspection number two less consumption. Right? This is

00:09:18 --> 00:09:21

something I spoke about earlier in another in another talk. So I'm

00:09:21 --> 00:09:23

not going to speak about the sudden there's going to have to be

00:09:23 --> 00:09:25

a change of lifestyle. I mean, we're being forced to change our

00:09:25 --> 00:09:28

lifestyle. This is a very good moment to do surgery, there's a

00:09:28 --> 00:09:32

concept in Arabic called the G which means to essentially strip

00:09:32 --> 00:09:35

away all non essentials from our life, and start right from the

00:09:35 --> 00:09:38

beginning. And then just introduce what's absolutely necessary,

00:09:38 --> 00:09:42

especially us in the West who Allah has given abundance to and

00:09:42 --> 00:09:45

we thank you Allah, for giving us so much Subhanallah you've given

00:09:45 --> 00:09:50

us more than so many others in the world safety, security, medicine,

00:09:50 --> 00:09:53

supplies, and so on. Even in this time, you know, you can still get

00:09:53 --> 00:09:57

things if people do not do panic buying, right? It's amazing. The

00:09:57 --> 00:10:00

shops are still food, you've still got lots of fruit and nuts

00:10:00 --> 00:10:02

other things which probably come from other countries, Allah

00:10:02 --> 00:10:05

subhanaw taala hasn't changed any of that yet. But we need to

00:10:05 --> 00:10:08

discipline ourselves. This is the moment for that ourselves, our

00:10:08 --> 00:10:12

children were at home many of us at home. So we need to see our

00:10:12 --> 00:10:16

consumption levels, the kinds of things that we do, that we should

00:10:16 --> 00:10:19

be doing that we should not be doing and so on and so forth. I

00:10:19 --> 00:10:24

just want to bring our You see, when you call Unto Allah, miracles

00:10:24 --> 00:10:28

happen. So, I just want to mention one incident which took place in

00:10:28 --> 00:10:31

Madina Munawwara right, several centuries ago and this I mean, the

00:10:31 --> 00:10:35

prophets Allah had mentioned that there will be a huge fire that

00:10:35 --> 00:10:38

will erupt in Madina Munawwara and this happens in the prophets of

00:10:38 --> 00:10:40

Allah himself said that a huge fire will erupt in Madina

00:10:40 --> 00:10:46

Munawwara which will be so huge and so, so inflamed that it will

00:10:46 --> 00:10:51

actually illuminate the the next of the camels of Basra in Sham

00:10:51 --> 00:10:56

which is south of Damascus. So several centuries later, after the

00:10:56 --> 00:10:59

prophets, Allah some had mentioned this exactly, there was a huge

00:10:59 --> 00:11:03

love of flow, right there was there was a huge love of flow and

00:11:03 --> 00:11:07

we're just basically consuming everything in its Miss amidst you

00:11:07 --> 00:11:11

can read about this in the various books, Alicia Afia, Shazza, and,

00:11:11 --> 00:11:14

and other books, and is basically just consuming everything as a

00:11:14 --> 00:11:18

historical account. And what the people did is they saw that it's

00:11:18 --> 00:11:21

coming directly from the student number we and the inhabitation

00:11:21 --> 00:11:24

around it. So including the governor of Madina, Munawwara

00:11:24 --> 00:11:27

everybody, they rushed to the masjid. Now, I know, that would be

00:11:27 --> 00:11:31

an ideal situation. But we can't do that because of the difference

00:11:31 --> 00:11:34

in the scenario, the context, right? Because here we've got a

00:11:34 --> 00:11:37

different calamity upon us. So we're going to have to do this in

00:11:37 --> 00:11:40

our homes that we're going to have to run to Allah in our homes, and

00:11:41 --> 00:11:45

basically, slaves were freed. Lots of sadaqa were given lots of

00:11:45 --> 00:11:49

charity was given the path of Allah, and so on and so forth. And

00:11:49 --> 00:11:53

as this thing is coming, you know, towards Masuda nubbly, and it's

00:11:53 --> 00:11:57

just going to consume everything in its path. Suddenly, Allah

00:11:57 --> 00:12:00

subhanaw taala brings a relief and it miraculously literally, I mean,

00:12:00 --> 00:12:04

there's no other explanation for this, it miraculously turns like,

00:12:04 --> 00:12:08

how does a lava flow going in one direction, just turn. And if you

00:12:08 --> 00:12:11

want to check this out, you can consult geologists have actually

00:12:11 --> 00:12:14

gone and seen this in the last several years. I mean, I've heard

00:12:14 --> 00:12:18

of reports of geologists who have gone there, because when lava

00:12:18 --> 00:12:23

flows, it leaves a tract of the black, the black, lava stone,

00:12:23 --> 00:12:27

right? And they've actually seen it's coming in one direction,

00:12:27 --> 00:12:30

suddenly it takes a diversion. There's numerous incidents

00:12:30 --> 00:12:34

incidences like this, you've got the incidence of the Battle of the

00:12:34 --> 00:12:37

Trench where the Muslims were in the Medina were completely

00:12:38 --> 00:12:41

outnumbered the enemies, that no other force, no other greater

00:12:41 --> 00:12:46

force had ever congregated and assembled together. Right, as in

00:12:46 --> 00:12:49

the history of the Arabian Peninsula as had been when they

00:12:49 --> 00:12:53

just basically campaign and got everybody together to come and

00:12:53 --> 00:12:57

attack the Madina Munawwara and it just felt like there's nothing

00:12:57 --> 00:13:00

much you could do, they took precaution. By digging the trench

00:13:00 --> 00:13:03

they did all of that precaution. But their sites were with Allah

00:13:03 --> 00:13:06

subhanaw taala, the prophets of Allah was praying to Allah, the

00:13:06 --> 00:13:09

Sahaba praying to Allah, that's where you get the seven massages

00:13:09 --> 00:13:12

from those who go formula they see the the era in Madina Munawwara

00:13:12 --> 00:13:16

seven massage, and that is where the different Sahaba had basically

00:13:16 --> 00:13:18

stationed themselves or had been stationed. And then they build

00:13:18 --> 00:13:21

messages. In those seven lessons. That's exactly where the trench

00:13:21 --> 00:13:26

was. But Allah subhanaw taala, he brings this huge, almost like

00:13:26 --> 00:13:29

Storm, a hurricane, which basically uprooted the tents of

00:13:29 --> 00:13:32

the enemy, and they disappeared. There's so many other stories like

00:13:32 --> 00:13:35

this. There's so many other stories about the River Nile,

00:13:35 --> 00:13:39

about other incidences in history, there's numerous incidences, this

00:13:39 --> 00:13:43

can still happen today. It doesn't have to carry on, right, it

00:13:43 --> 00:13:47

doesn't have to carry on and take the 80% You know, the rate that

00:13:47 --> 00:13:50

has been predicted, it doesn't have to happen like that. Right?

00:13:50 --> 00:13:53

Different countries have dealt with it differently has, and it's

00:13:53 --> 00:13:56

afflicted different places in different ways. That's why we need

00:13:56 --> 00:13:59

an abundance of the remembrance of Allah. Right? We need to remember

00:13:59 --> 00:14:02

him, we need to seek forgiveness from him, we need to give huge

00:14:02 --> 00:14:06

amounts of charity charity is said to calm down the anger of Allah

00:14:06 --> 00:14:10

subhanaw taala. The other thing that we need to remember is that

00:14:10 --> 00:14:13

there's a Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, which

00:14:13 --> 00:14:17

basically says, Hadith Sahih Muslim, which says that we're

00:14:17 --> 00:14:20

Allahu, it's along the Hadith. But this part is very pertinent for

00:14:20 --> 00:14:23

us. Because at this moment, everybody is very selfishly

00:14:23 --> 00:14:25

thinking about themselves, because we're in our homes where

00:14:25 --> 00:14:28

everybody's paranoid, you know that the situation right now is

00:14:28 --> 00:14:31

that you get a bit of a sore throat, or you have a slight

00:14:31 --> 00:14:33

tickle in your throat and you think you've got it, right. You've

00:14:33 --> 00:14:35

got to you know, you're feeling a bit hot and you feel you've got a

00:14:35 --> 00:14:38

temperature, you get a bit of a cough, and you think you've got

00:14:38 --> 00:14:42

the virus, right, there's no SIBO effect, literally, I mean, not a

00:14:42 --> 00:14:45

placebo effect, but it's like a no SIBO effect. And lots of people

00:14:45 --> 00:14:49

are dealing with this, right? Oh, of course, it's a reality. People

00:14:49 --> 00:14:51

are having this issue, but there's paranoia, there's just, it's

00:14:51 --> 00:14:55

crazy. So, what's happening is that most people are looking

00:14:55 --> 00:14:58

inwards, right? It's a it's a very selfish time because everybody's

00:14:58 --> 00:14:59

worried about themselves and their

00:15:00 --> 00:15:02

precaution, How'd you even help somebody yesterday I sat with the

00:15:02 --> 00:15:05

children. And I said, Look, let me give it let's give ourselves a

00:15:05 --> 00:15:09

task, right? Let's give ourselves a task. And I've given them a day

00:15:09 --> 00:15:13

I've given ourselves the data. How can we act on this hadith? The

00:15:13 --> 00:15:16

hadith says that Allah, we are only allowed to Allah Who can only

00:15:16 --> 00:15:21

live the merkon Al Abdullah only agree that Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:15:21 --> 00:15:25

will assist a person will remain in the assistance of a person,

00:15:25 --> 00:15:30

Allah will assist people and help them as long as that person is

00:15:30 --> 00:15:34

engaged in the assistance of others of his brother, his sister,

00:15:34 --> 00:15:38

other people. So one of the ways to attract the assistance of Allah

00:15:38 --> 00:15:42

subhanaw taala is to assist others. Now that will require us

00:15:42 --> 00:15:46

to be that to be basically very practical,

00:15:48 --> 00:15:52

very practical, and think outside the box as to how while sitting at

00:15:52 --> 00:15:57

home, while isolating ourselves how we can help others is there

00:15:57 --> 00:16:00

people we know who are going through difficulty? Maybe Maybe we

00:16:00 --> 00:16:03

can send them some money, right? Maybe we can send them a bank

00:16:03 --> 00:16:06

transfer, maybe we can get some other way to deliver even cash or

00:16:06 --> 00:16:09

vouchers to somebody for a supermarket. I don't know I'm

00:16:09 --> 00:16:12

waiting for the children and us to come back and you know, brainstorm

00:16:12 --> 00:16:15

this if you've got ideas, you know, put them out there, put them

00:16:15 --> 00:16:20

on our, you know on on our zamzam Academy website comments or on the

00:16:20 --> 00:16:23

on the Facebook or whatever, you know, if this is something we need

00:16:23 --> 00:16:27

to help one another in that how can we assist others and that will

00:16:27 --> 00:16:30

take the brunt of this of ourselves psychologically, when

00:16:30 --> 00:16:33

you've got a problem yourself and anguish or grief or sorrow or

00:16:33 --> 00:16:36

difficulty you're dealing with. One of the best cures for that is

00:16:36 --> 00:16:38

to actually start thinking about others and helping others that

00:16:38 --> 00:16:42

minimizes it gives us something to do makes us feel useful during

00:16:42 --> 00:16:44

this time. Otherwise, what are we going to do for I don't know how

00:16:44 --> 00:16:47

many weeks just sitting, sitting trying to protect ourselves. So

00:16:47 --> 00:16:51

let's think about how we can safely help others and help

00:16:51 --> 00:16:54

basically help the whole of humanity right and bless those who

00:16:54 --> 00:16:58

are going to who are going to do that. And there's another Hadith

00:16:58 --> 00:17:00

in that regard, which is where the Prophet sallallahu sallam said it

00:17:00 --> 00:17:05

hammelmann Fill out your Henkelman visa, have mercy on those on the

00:17:05 --> 00:17:08

earth and those in the heavens will will treat you with mercy as

00:17:08 --> 00:17:12

well. Famous Hadith. Then, I want to mention a few verses of the

00:17:12 --> 00:17:15

Quran which talk about the Mercy of Allah subhanho wa Taala Allah

00:17:15 --> 00:17:19

subhanho wa Taala firstly, look at this verse, he says warahmatullahi

00:17:19 --> 00:17:23

was the right color shade. My Mercy encompasses everything,

00:17:23 --> 00:17:27

envelopes, everything, covers, everything spans everything.

00:17:27 --> 00:17:30

That's Allah subhanaw taala now the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa

00:17:30 --> 00:17:33

sallam in explaining that and in trying to, in trying to

00:17:33 --> 00:17:37

demonstrate the vastness, the simpleness, the broadness of Allah

00:17:37 --> 00:17:42

subhanaw taala has mercy to the sahaba. He there was an incident.

00:17:43 --> 00:17:46

It was just after a war and the you know, the people are there,

00:17:46 --> 00:17:49

there's the Havoc that's been caused by the war, there's the

00:17:49 --> 00:17:52

spoils, there's people lying around, so on. And there's a

00:17:52 --> 00:17:55

mother who's lost a child during the situation. There's a mother

00:17:55 --> 00:17:57

who's lost a child, I mean, she didn't know where her child is.

00:17:58 --> 00:18:03

So, after the war finishes, after the battle finishes, she's going

00:18:03 --> 00:18:06

among all the martyrs, all the people who are dead, lying on the

00:18:06 --> 00:18:11

ground, looking for her child. And finally, when she when she finds

00:18:11 --> 00:18:14

this child, she picks that child up, and she just embraces that

00:18:14 --> 00:18:18

child. I mean, you can understand the motherhood, the mother

00:18:18 --> 00:18:21

leanness, the mother love of that child of that woman for her for

00:18:21 --> 00:18:25

her child, she picks that child up. So now, at this the Prophet

00:18:25 --> 00:18:29

sallallahu alayhi wa sallam asked the companions that our owner had

00:18:29 --> 00:18:33

the hill, Mara, Tori Hatton, what are the half inner? Do you ever

00:18:33 --> 00:18:39

think that this woman would ever throw her child into the fire into

00:18:39 --> 00:18:43

a fire? Would you ever imagine that this woman would throw her

00:18:43 --> 00:18:47

child into the fire? We said no, the Sahaba said no Allah, Allah he

00:18:47 --> 00:18:51

were here and then the Prophet Allah some said, Allah who were he

00:18:51 --> 00:18:55

a duck? What he Wallah, he were he a duck there either and Tatro who?

00:18:56 --> 00:18:59

She she can't do that. That's not something she can do. She would

00:18:59 --> 00:19:02

never throw her child in the Hellfire in the fire in general.

00:19:02 --> 00:19:05

So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam then said, Allah who

00:19:05 --> 00:19:08

this is a very important part, Allah who are a hammer will be

00:19:08 --> 00:19:12

able to him in her the Hebrew whether the HA, ALLAH SubhanA wa

00:19:12 --> 00:19:18

Taala is even more merciful with his servants than this mother is

00:19:18 --> 00:19:19

with her one child.

00:19:21 --> 00:19:24

You know, we can see the manifestation of Allah's mercy

00:19:24 --> 00:19:27

through people doing good work, Allah's Mercy supposed to be well

00:19:27 --> 00:19:31

superior to this, well above this many, many times over multiple

00:19:31 --> 00:19:35

times over this is a Hadith of Sahih Muslim. Let me just mention

00:19:35 --> 00:19:39

a few others. Another one is where the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa

00:19:39 --> 00:19:41

sallam said that in Allah He may,

00:19:42 --> 00:19:46

Allah subhanho wa Taala he has 100 Mercy this is just to depict just

00:19:46 --> 00:19:50

to kind of visualize it for us, Allah has 100 mercies

00:19:51 --> 00:19:55

unzila mean how Ramadan wa Headington banal Jimny well NC

00:19:55 --> 00:19:59

while Baja AMI Well, however me only one part of that mercy so

00:20:00 --> 00:20:02

Basically saying that if you imagine that all of Allah's mercy

00:20:02 --> 00:20:06

which is infinite, but just to give an explanation, just to give

00:20:06 --> 00:20:11

an exaggerated example, or just the minimal example, if you divide

00:20:11 --> 00:20:16

Allah's Mercy into 100 parts, it's only one of those parts like 21%

00:20:16 --> 00:20:22

that he has put into this and divided and spread and shared

00:20:22 --> 00:20:27

among all the jinn, the gem kind, the humankind, all the beasts on

00:20:27 --> 00:20:30

the earth, all the insects and other rodents and all other

00:20:30 --> 00:20:35

animals on earth, and Furby hired out of one and that's, that, that

00:20:35 --> 00:20:40

is the mercy by which there is compassion within creatures for

00:20:40 --> 00:20:43

one another, why do we have compassion for one another? Why is

00:20:43 --> 00:20:47

there even the faculty of compassion that we actually feel

00:20:47 --> 00:20:53

for someone, it's because of this small share of this 1% of mercy

00:20:53 --> 00:20:57

that has been spread among all of creation, from Allah's mercy,

00:20:57 --> 00:21:00

where the rest of it is 99% will be higher? Tara Hammoud that's how

00:21:00 --> 00:21:04

they merciful to one another, will be her doubtful, WashU Allah, what

00:21:04 --> 00:21:08

are they and that's even why an animal will be compassionate and

00:21:08 --> 00:21:12

look after and care, right, its own offspring, even though that

00:21:12 --> 00:21:15

animal we do not consider them to be rational creatures, but they

00:21:15 --> 00:21:19

even have that built in by Allah subhanaw taala to be from that

00:21:19 --> 00:21:21

part to part of His mercy. And then Allah then the Prophet

00:21:21 --> 00:21:25

sallallahu sallam said, what what Allah Who this and what is Ina

00:21:25 --> 00:21:32

Rama, Allah has postponed 93 part the 99% of that mercy, the rest of

00:21:32 --> 00:21:35

the rest of that mercy. Can you imagine how much that's going to

00:21:35 --> 00:21:39

be? If 1% is what shared among everybody that you've ever seen

00:21:39 --> 00:21:42

being mercy, all the stories of compassion in the world we've ever

00:21:42 --> 00:21:45

had, historically, all that will come it's just 1%. Now we have

00:21:45 --> 00:21:48

99%, that Allah subhanaw taala has kept back for himself, your

00:21:48 --> 00:21:52

Hammurabi, ha Reba hooyo Malkia. Definitely on the Day of Judgment,

00:21:52 --> 00:21:57

he's going to use that, to basically have mercy on on his

00:21:57 --> 00:22:02

servants on his servants. And this is just because this is a Hadith

00:22:02 --> 00:22:04

about the Day of Judgment. But it doesn't mean that Allah subhanaw

00:22:04 --> 00:22:08

taala is not going to use it in this world that he can have mercy

00:22:08 --> 00:22:11

upon us. We've seen that we've we know that from experience.

00:22:12 --> 00:22:14

Likewise, Allah subhanaw taala says, well, Lilina either for

00:22:14 --> 00:22:20

alpha Heisha, a lot Mo and Busan, the Corolla, those people who have

00:22:20 --> 00:22:20

done

00:22:22 --> 00:22:24

a matter of emote committed a matter of immorality committed

00:22:24 --> 00:22:28

some immorality as a device, especially sexual vices and

00:22:28 --> 00:22:31

others, or they've oppressed themselves in another way

00:22:31 --> 00:22:34

vulnerable and fusarium, then they remember ALLAH because it's all

00:22:34 --> 00:22:37

about coming back to Allah, then they remember ALLAH and they seek

00:22:37 --> 00:22:42

for self photo Liuba him and they then seek ALLAH, ALLAH forgiveness

00:22:42 --> 00:22:44

for their sins. It's just about turning back to Allah that Allah

00:22:44 --> 00:22:48

Allah wants from us. When a young Pharaoh Guba Illa Allah Who else

00:22:48 --> 00:22:53

is there, that's just Allah puts that in who else is there that can

00:22:53 --> 00:22:57

forgive besides Allah? Because it's only him that we are, you

00:22:57 --> 00:23:00

know, transgressing against we transgress against others, but

00:23:00 --> 00:23:03

that's a transgression against Allah as well. What am you see

00:23:03 --> 00:23:06

Rwanda mufaddal. And then these people they do not persist on

00:23:06 --> 00:23:11

their, on their own on their oppression. Right? Well, whom

00:23:11 --> 00:23:13

Yeah, the moon while they know of course, they could still make

00:23:13 --> 00:23:16

mistakes, they could still do it accidentally, they could still do

00:23:16 --> 00:23:20

it overcome sometimes, but they do not purposely want to do it again

00:23:20 --> 00:23:24

and do it again. Then Allah subhanaw taala says that Jezza uma

00:23:24 --> 00:23:30

FIRA to Mira by him their reward, their reward is a forgiveness from

00:23:30 --> 00:23:34

the Lord. What Janet and Paradise gardens actually Daydreamin Daniel

00:23:34 --> 00:23:40

and how below which rivers will flow and highly Dean if you had

00:23:40 --> 00:23:43

they will remain in there forever when they are modular Armenia and

00:23:43 --> 00:23:47

this is what a wonderful gift and award this is for those who do

00:23:47 --> 00:23:51

good and that's okay that's talking about the hereafter. But

00:23:51 --> 00:23:53

you think people who are destined for good in the hereafter Allah

00:23:53 --> 00:23:56

will not have mercy on them in the world. Ways of attaining Allah

00:23:56 --> 00:24:01

subhanho wa Taala as mercy let us let us see how else we can get

00:24:01 --> 00:24:04

Allah's mercy. So I'm just going to mention to you four verses of

00:24:04 --> 00:24:08

the Quran and then one Hadith, right and that should be enough

00:24:08 --> 00:24:12

for us. Allah says 100 Zero mineral Quran is suited to Israel

00:24:12 --> 00:24:16

100 Zero mineral Qurani man who has Shiva on warahmatu lil

00:24:16 --> 00:24:21

Momineen we have revealed from the Quran that which is a cure and a

00:24:21 --> 00:24:24

source of mercy for the believers. That means increase our reading of

00:24:24 --> 00:24:28

the Quran right maybe do it with the children I mean hamdulillah in

00:24:28 --> 00:24:32

my house we've got a mashallah wonderful routine children wake

00:24:32 --> 00:24:35

up. I'm only saying this just so that you have an idea. I will do

00:24:35 --> 00:24:38

another lecture. We'll do another lecture inshallah about timetable,

00:24:38 --> 00:24:41

but we have a that they're going to they're going to read for this

00:24:41 --> 00:24:43

long two hours or whatever because they're they're doing hymns of the

00:24:43 --> 00:24:47

Quran anyway. And mashallah, if you use this time to do have the

00:24:47 --> 00:24:50

Quran, write yourself a bit, whatever few suitors here and

00:24:50 --> 00:24:54

there, the blessing of the Quran is that it's the one Words of

00:24:54 --> 00:24:57

Allah, your house inshallah will be protected. Can you imagine for

00:24:57 --> 00:24:59

one or two hours you've got people reading the Quran

00:25:00 --> 00:25:03

In your house, you may have never had that before accepting

00:25:03 --> 00:25:07

Ramadan's, right? Can you imagine the abundance of Mercy that's

00:25:07 --> 00:25:09

going to come because when the Quran is recited this hadith that

00:25:09 --> 00:25:13

show that angels gather around is a certain tranquility that

00:25:13 --> 00:25:17

descends Sakina that defends this huge amount of benefit to do that.

00:25:17 --> 00:25:20

Do not, do not be deprived of this. Sit down, read the Quran,

00:25:21 --> 00:25:24

have your children read the Quran, have you know has everybody read

00:25:24 --> 00:25:24

the Quran?

00:25:26 --> 00:25:28

Because it's going to be a cure Allah says there's a cure in the

00:25:28 --> 00:25:30

Quran is going to be a cure psychologically for you. There's

00:25:30 --> 00:25:33

so much in the Quran especially if you're reading with translation,

00:25:33 --> 00:25:37

you're reflecting over the Tafseer and so on and so forth. Number two

00:25:37 --> 00:25:41

in Sorrento and I'm Allah subhanaw taala then says we'll have kita

00:25:41 --> 00:25:45

boon and Zilla who MOBA or con, this is a book we've revealed

00:25:45 --> 00:25:48

which is blessed it this book we've revealed his blessing for

00:25:48 --> 00:25:53

who who so follow it, follow it adhere to what's in it. What Taku

00:25:53 --> 00:25:58

like I look into Ramon and fear Allah, attained Taqwa fear Allah

00:25:58 --> 00:26:03

fear Allah stop doing things that we did without thinking about how

00:26:03 --> 00:26:08

we are violating Allah's commands, think about the violations and

00:26:08 --> 00:26:11

stop doing those things. There are Subhanallah we have so many sins,

00:26:11 --> 00:26:15

right, that have become parts of our life. And we no longer even

00:26:15 --> 00:26:17

consider them since we've justified them. Somehow we've

00:26:17 --> 00:26:21

overlooked them we think they're okay. There's no problem with

00:26:21 --> 00:26:24

them. So we really need to introspect and may Allah grant us

00:26:24 --> 00:26:27

that introspection. May Allah grant us the understanding. So the

00:26:27 --> 00:26:29

this verse is telling us two things, number one,

00:26:31 --> 00:26:35

follow what's in the Quran. And number two, develop fear for him.

00:26:36 --> 00:26:39

La Isla come to her moon, so perhaps you will be dealt with

00:26:39 --> 00:26:42

mercy. So that's another way to invoke the mercy of Allah. And the

00:26:42 --> 00:26:45

third verse is sort of that it sort of it Imran which is what are

00:26:45 --> 00:26:49

to your Allah, what rasool Allah Allah control, Herman essentially

00:26:49 --> 00:26:52

be obedient to Allah and His Messenger, so that you can be

00:26:52 --> 00:26:56

given mercy again, you can be given mercy if you try your best.

00:26:57 --> 00:26:59

Now, a lot of others said that we don't even know that what we're

00:26:59 --> 00:27:02

doing wrong. And for that, we have to educate ourselves mashallah

00:27:02 --> 00:27:05

lots of Allah may Allah bless our fellow Allah ma around the world

00:27:05 --> 00:27:09

who are giving, you know, mashallah giving lots of lectures

00:27:09 --> 00:27:13

and reminders and do rules around the world. And the more the

00:27:13 --> 00:27:16

better, right, because one person can't do it all, you know, a few

00:27:16 --> 00:27:19

conduit all it needs to be in every locality, providing

00:27:19 --> 00:27:23

children's lessons, adult lessons, we need to benefit from that

00:27:23 --> 00:27:25

inshallah that will help too.

00:27:26 --> 00:27:29

That will help for us to become more discerning as to what we need

00:27:29 --> 00:27:33

to do with our life from now on. And sort of the layout of the last

00:27:33 --> 00:27:37

verse I'm going to quote here is in the rahmatullahi kyriba middle

00:27:37 --> 00:27:43

Marcin in that very Allah's Mercy is close, is close to the doers of

00:27:43 --> 00:27:47

good. Now, when you say Masini and doers of good there are so many

00:27:47 --> 00:27:48

things. When you beautify something when you do something

00:27:48 --> 00:27:53

excellently. When you do any kind of virtue, then it's a very broad

00:27:53 --> 00:27:57

idea to any kind of good and virtue and Allah's mercy will be

00:27:57 --> 00:28:01

with you we need this mercy. And finally the hadith of Buhari in

00:28:01 --> 00:28:04

the Maya humble law whom in a bad he Rohana which is similar to the

00:28:04 --> 00:28:07

Hadith I mentioned earlier, that Verily, Allah has mercy

00:28:09 --> 00:28:12

upon his, from His servants, Allah has mercy on them who are merciful

00:28:12 --> 00:28:18

to others, having mercy upon others having that idea that will

00:28:18 --> 00:28:21

inshallah attract Allah subhanaw taala as mercy for us as well. So

00:28:21 --> 00:28:24

Jazak Allah here for listening, we have gone a bit over time.

00:28:26 --> 00:28:29

We did start a bit late, but may Allah subhanaw taala, bless your

00:28:29 --> 00:28:34

days, and make these easy for us and avert this through this mass

00:28:34 --> 00:28:39

invocation for Rama, this mass practice of deeds that bring about

00:28:39 --> 00:28:43

the Mercy of Allah subhanaw taala do not think what it what

00:28:43 --> 00:28:45

difference is going to be made. If I make something, the day you

00:28:45 --> 00:28:49

start doing something, understand that Allah will make changes,

00:28:50 --> 00:28:54

right? Especially those who feel they're sinners, and who feel that

00:28:54 --> 00:28:56

they're not going to get anything out of this that they can't

00:28:56 --> 00:29:00

contribute, nothing's going to happen, you can change and that

00:29:00 --> 00:29:04

will provide an effect inshallah. So we ask Allah, please keep us

00:29:04 --> 00:29:07

all in your doors, keep the doctors and all the healthcare

00:29:07 --> 00:29:10

professionals and the nurses and all those who are working in that

00:29:10 --> 00:29:16

regard. The police forces, the Obama, right, these are the people

00:29:16 --> 00:29:20

who are going to keep things going. Right and the people who

00:29:20 --> 00:29:22

are essentially manufacturing

00:29:23 --> 00:29:27

essential supplies and selling these essential supplies and not

00:29:27 --> 00:29:32

basically trying to profit wrongfully through this. May we

00:29:32 --> 00:29:35

pray that Allah subhanaw taala give them lots of Baraka, lots of

00:29:35 --> 00:29:38

baraka and lots of blessing. May Allah protect them. And may Allah

00:29:38 --> 00:29:42

allow us to be accepted for some service to his deen and to

00:29:42 --> 00:29:46

humanity as well. Well, he read that one Al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil

00:29:46 --> 00:29:46

Alameen
