00:00:37 --> 00:00:39

battling low hanging off

00:00:40 --> 00:00:46

so dear, dear friends dear listeners Welcome back to this

00:00:46 --> 00:00:52

series on the sciences of the Quran today we have, we start the

00:00:52 --> 00:00:55

second part. And what we're going to do is we're going to just

00:00:55 --> 00:00:58

mention the other few names that Allah subhanaw taala refers to the

00:00:58 --> 00:01:02

Quran. And just like with everything else, anything that is

00:01:02 --> 00:01:05

multifaceted that has so many different characteristics and so

00:01:05 --> 00:01:10

on. You could call the that pet specific things using different

00:01:10 --> 00:01:12

names. Now what's really interesting is that in the Quran,

00:01:12 --> 00:01:15

Allah subhanaw taala uses different names and those names

00:01:15 --> 00:01:21

actually provide us an idea of different aspects of the Quran. So

00:01:21 --> 00:01:26

we dealt yesterday with the name Al Quran and what that means. Now

00:01:26 --> 00:01:30

today we move on to some of the other names. The second most

00:01:30 --> 00:01:35

famous name of the Quran is Al Kitab, vecchie tab or in English,

00:01:35 --> 00:01:40

the book, right, the book, the Quran is the book. And this word

00:01:40 --> 00:01:45

Al Kitab actually comes from the word GitHub, GitHub a means to, to

00:01:45 --> 00:01:49

gather something together. So in reality, the word GitHub actually

00:01:49 --> 00:01:49

means to

00:01:51 --> 00:01:55

gather something together to combine things together. Now,

00:01:55 --> 00:01:58

that's why you get the concept in Arabic called Kathy button, which

00:01:58 --> 00:02:02

essentially means a small contingent of an army that goes

00:02:02 --> 00:02:05

out somewhere, because they all gathered together. And likewise,

00:02:05 --> 00:02:09

the reason why in Arabic You call writing, or anything which is

00:02:09 --> 00:02:13

written or the concept of writing Kitab as well, is because what

00:02:13 --> 00:02:16

you're doing is you're combining letters together. So when you

00:02:16 --> 00:02:19

combine letters together, you're combining them, you're gathering

00:02:19 --> 00:02:22

them together, that's why it's actually that concept of

00:02:22 --> 00:02:26

inscription. And putting letters together is also called kitab. So

00:02:26 --> 00:02:30

that's actually what it means, because it gathers letters

00:02:30 --> 00:02:34

together. That's why the Quran has also been called the Kitab.

00:02:34 --> 00:02:37

Because it is something that gathers together, what does the

00:02:37 --> 00:02:40

Quran gather together, it gathers a number of different things. For

00:02:40 --> 00:02:44

example, it gathers the stories and the narratives that accounts

00:02:44 --> 00:02:47

that I mentioned in the, the verses regarding the ACA. So it

00:02:47 --> 00:02:51

gathers the verses together on the different subjects, the the rules,

00:02:51 --> 00:02:54

the laws, and the various different things about the

00:02:54 --> 00:02:58

hereafter about our inception, about past histories and so on.

00:02:58 --> 00:03:01

All of that is gathered together. So that's why it is the Kitab it

00:03:01 --> 00:03:04

is the only book that we need in that sense that it is the one that

00:03:04 --> 00:03:07

gathers everything. Now what's really interesting is that one of

00:03:07 --> 00:03:09

the early scholars of the 19th century was name was

00:03:11 --> 00:03:16

Dr. Muhammad Abdullah daraz from Egypt. He says one of the wisdoms

00:03:16 --> 00:03:19

or secrets and really interesting points regarding quoting the

00:03:19 --> 00:03:23

Quran, the Quran and the Kitab. So the Quran refers to something you

00:03:23 --> 00:03:27

recite, and Kitab is something that you write down. So like I

00:03:27 --> 00:03:30

mentioned yesterday, these are two of the most important names which

00:03:30 --> 00:03:34

indicates towards the fact that the Quran is has been preserved in

00:03:34 --> 00:03:38

writing, and also in recitation, which is through the heart, it's

00:03:38 --> 00:03:43

in the hearts of people. And it is also written and that is the way

00:03:43 --> 00:03:46

that this Quran has been has been preserved and has been transmitted

00:03:46 --> 00:03:52

all the way to us. So, Allah subhanho wa Taala is the one who

00:03:52 --> 00:03:57

actually said in so Allah subhanho wa Taala said in circle hedger,

00:03:57 --> 00:04:03

verse 90, verse nine, in an act known as the carova in Allah hula,

00:04:03 --> 00:04:09

have you alone, we have revealed this remembrance meaning the

00:04:09 --> 00:04:13

thicker is also the Quran, we've revealed this remembrance and we

00:04:13 --> 00:04:17

are the ones who will protect it. So now Allah subhanho wa Taala if

00:04:17 --> 00:04:21

he's going to protect the Quran, and he's promising to protect it,

00:04:21 --> 00:04:25

he's, he's, he's declaring that it will be protected, then that

00:04:25 --> 00:04:31

clearly tells you that he is going to also provide the means for

00:04:31 --> 00:04:35

doing that. And that is the beans of the Quran has always been

00:04:35 --> 00:04:38

written and we've got some very early Quran is written from the

00:04:38 --> 00:04:40

time of Earth man of the Allahu Anhu. And it's going to be

00:04:40 --> 00:04:43

memorized from generation to generation. Allah subhanaw taala

00:04:43 --> 00:04:47

is going to protect the Quran from being changed from alteration from

00:04:47 --> 00:04:52

interpolations from any additions have additional additional ideas

00:04:52 --> 00:04:58

in it or reductions, taking things out emissions and so on and so

00:04:58 --> 00:04:59

forth. That's why

00:05:00 --> 00:05:03

Did Allah subhanho wa Taala took the responsive responsibility

00:05:03 --> 00:05:07

himself to do it, as opposed to that when it came to the other

00:05:08 --> 00:05:12

divine, the other divine Scriptures that Allah subhanaw

00:05:12 --> 00:05:15

taala had revealed of the past Allah subhanho wa Taala says, for

00:05:15 --> 00:05:20

example, in sort of the verse 44 What up Bernie, you and our Ruby

00:05:20 --> 00:05:22

Mr. Phil Minh kita villa,

00:05:24 --> 00:05:27

de Rabbani Yoon, and about these are their priests and others,

00:05:27 --> 00:05:30

their people have, you know, who ascribed themselves to God,

00:05:30 --> 00:05:35

because we must don't feel mean kita Villa AB matale by La him

00:05:35 --> 00:05:39

Bhima toady by either him Hallo, because they had been sought out

00:05:39 --> 00:05:41

to protect it. They're the ones who have been given the

00:05:41 --> 00:05:45

responsibilities. So it was men in other communities before us and

00:05:45 --> 00:05:48

other nations before us. It was actually people that were provided

00:05:48 --> 00:05:52

the responsibility and they could not fulfill that responsibility

00:05:52 --> 00:05:55

properly. Allah subhanho wa Taala kept this responsibility to

00:05:55 --> 00:05:59

himself. Of course, it's our responsibility as well. But Allah

00:05:59 --> 00:06:03

subhanho wa Taala make sure Allah maintains that and there's a

00:06:03 --> 00:06:05

reason for that. Allah could have preserved the other books if you

00:06:05 --> 00:06:10

wanted to, but he let that he let that be overcome by the nature of

00:06:10 --> 00:06:14

things in this world, that things can be changed in this world, but

00:06:14 --> 00:06:17

with the Quran, very special measures were put into place. And

00:06:17 --> 00:06:21

the reason for that is quite simple, that the Quran number one

00:06:21 --> 00:06:24

is a book that follows all the others and it is supposed to be an

00:06:24 --> 00:06:28

end, a book that is not going to end until the Day of Judgment.

00:06:28 --> 00:06:31

It's supposed to be effective until the day of judgment for all

00:06:31 --> 00:06:35

of humanity. And for all of jinn kindness, while it is supposed to

00:06:35 --> 00:06:38

be something that we will benefit from. It is not a temporary book,

00:06:38 --> 00:06:41

all the others were temporary, they may be in for a few 100

00:06:41 --> 00:06:43

years, but they were still temporary when it comes to the

00:06:43 --> 00:06:48

Quran. It's for 1000s of years. And so so so far we've had 1400

00:06:48 --> 00:06:52

years, however many more years this Quran will remain like that,

00:06:52 --> 00:06:55

and so far, it's not being changed and inshallah it will not be

00:06:55 --> 00:06:58

changed again at all according to what the Quran says. And that that

00:06:58 --> 00:07:02

is one of the reasons why it has to be preserved in that way. And

00:07:02 --> 00:07:04

Allah subhanaw taala knows best that's why he says well who will

00:07:04 --> 00:07:08

Hakeem will only Allah subhanho wa Taala is the wise one and he is

00:07:08 --> 00:07:12

the knowledgeable one move moving on to some of the other names

00:07:12 --> 00:07:15

probably less than no names. Another very famous and well known

00:07:15 --> 00:07:19

name of the Quran is a no it is the light. So the Quran is a light

00:07:19 --> 00:07:26

Allah subhanho wa Taala says in certainly service 174 years, you

00:07:26 --> 00:07:35

haven't done so called Khun Bo Hanim Europe become Zanna. EComm

00:07:35 --> 00:07:37

no more Bina

00:07:38 --> 00:07:39

oh people

00:07:41 --> 00:07:47

has come to you have proof from your Lord. And we have revealed to

00:07:47 --> 00:07:52

you a clear light we have caused to descend upon you a clear light.

00:07:53 --> 00:07:56

What has liked got to do with the Quran I mean many of you will be

00:07:56 --> 00:08:00

able to work this out probably know anyway, is that the Quran for

00:08:00 --> 00:08:04

the human being? The Quran for us is what shines the way it's what

00:08:04 --> 00:08:09

illuminates the path, it tells us and provides us a light that this

00:08:09 --> 00:08:13

is the right this is the wrong this is the truth and this is the

00:08:13 --> 00:08:18

falsehood and this is halal. And this is haram. It provides the it

00:08:18 --> 00:08:21

works in tandem with the occult, with the human intellect the human

00:08:21 --> 00:08:25

intellect tries to work things out, but there's certain things

00:08:25 --> 00:08:28

that it cannot figure out in terms of what is right and wrong, right

00:08:28 --> 00:08:31

in terms of how something is going to affect us in terms of the

00:08:31 --> 00:08:35

hereafter and so on in terms of what's to come. So that's why the

00:08:35 --> 00:08:38

Quran is there to provide us that Guiding Light and that's why the

00:08:38 --> 00:08:42

Quran is alight. Then another name that we're going to look at today

00:08:42 --> 00:08:46

is L for con because that's a very well known name of the Quran is

00:08:46 --> 00:08:49

called L for con Allah subhanahu wa Allah says

00:08:50 --> 00:08:55

in surah tool for con itself Allah subhanho wa Taala says the baroka

00:08:55 --> 00:09:02

Levinas journal for Karna IBD Healy, Kunal inland Amin and VIERA

00:09:03 --> 00:09:08

bless it is he who revealed the criterion Alpha con the criterion

00:09:08 --> 00:09:13

upon his servant, so that the he could be a winner for all of

00:09:13 --> 00:09:17

mankind. So it could be a one a he could be a wonderful mankind, for

00:09:17 --> 00:09:21

con comes from the word distinguishing, to make

00:09:21 --> 00:09:25

distinctive to separate and for con because again the Quran that's

00:09:25 --> 00:09:28

exactly what it does. It's the criterion it separates between the

00:09:28 --> 00:09:33

good and bad, right and wrong, and it provides that benefit happened

00:09:33 --> 00:09:38

Bartelt Iman and CO for halal and haram good and good and bad,

00:09:38 --> 00:09:41

higher onshore, and so on. That's what it provides what is guidance?

00:09:41 --> 00:09:45

And what is Miss guidance that is that what the Quran does? So those

00:09:45 --> 00:09:50

were the names in brief, we're not going to discuss them too much.

00:09:50 --> 00:09:54

Now we move on to another aspect which is that the Quran is a

00:09:54 --> 00:09:58

revelation. The Quran is a ye and we hear this word all the time.

00:09:58 --> 00:09:59

This concept of worry

00:10:02 --> 00:10:05

So now let us move on to the discussion about how the Quran is

00:10:05 --> 00:10:08

a revelation, how it was revealed, what's the nature of this

00:10:08 --> 00:10:11

revelation and so on. And this is a really, really, really

00:10:11 --> 00:10:15

interesting discussion. Let us start off first with trying to

00:10:15 --> 00:10:17

understand what this word what he means. I mean, you guys have heard

00:10:17 --> 00:10:21

this probably the Quran is a worry. It's a revelation. So what

00:10:21 --> 00:10:26

exactly does he mean? Let us talk Let us ask a very early

00:10:26 --> 00:10:31

lexicographer, a linguist whose name was YBNL Faris the IGNOU

00:10:31 --> 00:10:35

forest is a very famous electric lexicographer. He says that this

00:10:35 --> 00:10:41

is us lone doula, il co L min fi Ilahi. Eric? Well, why you,

00:10:41 --> 00:10:45

Alicia? Well, why are you al Kitab, we're reseller we're called

00:10:45 --> 00:10:50

Luma. We're called Luma ultdata, who Ilahi DECA Hata Alima HuFa Hua

00:10:50 --> 00:10:53

Yun que ver con and this is what he says. So essentially, the

00:10:53 --> 00:10:59

concept of Ye is anything that you will inspire someone else with,

00:10:59 --> 00:11:04

that you will convey to somebody else with write in a very subtle

00:11:04 --> 00:11:09

way. It's not like here, take this necessarily, it's in a very subtle

00:11:09 --> 00:11:12

way that something is conveyed to someone else. It's almost like a

00:11:12 --> 00:11:17

gesture, an indication, like, it's just the gesture is a way where he

00:11:17 --> 00:11:20

is very, very subtle, you can hardly tell that it's happening,

00:11:20 --> 00:11:23

but the other person finds out about it. Of course, it could be

00:11:23 --> 00:11:26

done in more manifest ways, like through a book through something

00:11:26 --> 00:11:29

written through a message through somebody else as well, that it

00:11:29 --> 00:11:32

could be done that way as well. But the basis of a worry is that

00:11:32 --> 00:11:36

it's very, very, very subtle, and very secretive. In that sense.

00:11:36 --> 00:11:38

It's very subtle, it can be done without anybody knowing,

00:11:39 --> 00:11:42

essentially, whenever you give anybody as gesture, right? In a

00:11:42 --> 00:11:45

code, language or otherwise, and they understand what you're

00:11:45 --> 00:11:47

saying, like when you say no, don't do that. Now, they will

00:11:47 --> 00:11:50

understand the point. That is also a sense of why in the linguistic

00:11:50 --> 00:11:51

sense of it.

00:11:52 --> 00:11:56

Right? So why includes an idea of something being understood and

00:11:56 --> 00:12:02

conveyed very, very fast, a very, very quick conveying of a certain

00:12:02 --> 00:12:05

meaning. That's what you get from that. So

00:12:06 --> 00:12:09

the word where he has been used for others as well. So for

00:12:09 --> 00:12:13

example, not just the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, Allah

00:12:13 --> 00:12:18

subhanaw taala says in certain postures, verse seven, whoa Hanaa

00:12:18 --> 00:12:25

Musa, an oral D, we inspired we conveyed an eye, we conveyed this

00:12:25 --> 00:12:28

message to Musa to the mother of Musa actually, that you should

00:12:29 --> 00:12:32

nurse him. Now Musa Allison's mother is not a prophet, but she

00:12:32 --> 00:12:36

is receiving a ye. That's in a very particular context. That's

00:12:36 --> 00:12:40

not the normal way because I said the word ye means to give somebody

00:12:40 --> 00:12:43

information to convey something to them. So likewise, Allah subhanaw

00:12:43 --> 00:12:47

taala is saying that we did the same thing to Musa salaams mother,

00:12:47 --> 00:12:50

that we conveyed to her this information that you should look

00:12:50 --> 00:12:55

you carry on you, you go ahead and use this child. Likewise, it's

00:12:55 --> 00:12:58

used in a very negative sense as well, just in the in the literal

00:12:58 --> 00:13:04

sense. Allah subhanahu wa taala says, in Surah Al Anam, verse 121,

00:13:04 --> 00:13:10

we're in Nichelle two in Hola, yo Hona, in only in New Jersey, they

00:13:10 --> 00:13:16

do come that the shayateen they also do ye, meaning they also pass

00:13:16 --> 00:13:21

on information in a very subtle way towards their friends, so that

00:13:21 --> 00:13:25

they can dispute with you. So shaytan is also doing, literally

00:13:25 --> 00:13:31

speaking, conveying this very quick method of a whisper. In his

00:13:31 --> 00:13:33

case, it will probably be a whisper. So anyway, so that's the

00:13:33 --> 00:13:36

literal meaning of why, but when it comes to the Quran, the

00:13:36 --> 00:13:40

technical definition of why that's a very, very particular

00:13:40 --> 00:13:43

definition, what exactly is why with relationship to the Prophet

00:13:43 --> 00:13:46

sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in the Quran? So I'm going to define it

00:13:46 --> 00:13:48

for you as the scholars have defined the sheikh nor the

00:13:48 --> 00:13:52

narrator. This is the way he's defined it says, Phil, why you who

00:13:52 --> 00:13:56

love Allah, He to Allah Lehman is tougher, who Lehman is tougher,

00:13:56 --> 00:14:00

who mean everybody bitterly you can huffy yet in Saudi out in

00:14:02 --> 00:14:06

the water, He is Allah subhanho wa taala, informing the one from

00:14:06 --> 00:14:09

among his servant that he has chosen and specially selected,

00:14:09 --> 00:14:14

using a very subtle and a very quick procedure, a very quick

00:14:14 --> 00:14:17

method, very subtle, very method you can hardly tell is there he's

00:14:17 --> 00:14:20

got the knowledge, it's like, it's almost like, like,

00:14:21 --> 00:14:24

an information that you get, like immediately It just occurs to you.

00:14:24 --> 00:14:27

Now, the way we're going to try to understand how that exactly

00:14:27 --> 00:14:31

happened. This is the interesting part that how exactly was this

00:14:31 --> 00:14:34

communication between Allah subhanaw taala and His messenger?

00:14:35 --> 00:14:38

Now the best place to find that out is actually from the Hadith of

00:14:38 --> 00:14:41

the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam where he actually describes this.

00:14:41 --> 00:14:43

So the Prophet salallahu Salam actually goes on to describe how

00:14:43 --> 00:14:46

he would receive the revelation. So for example, the first one,

00:14:46 --> 00:14:49

it's a hadith in Bukhari Muslim and many others. The prophets

00:14:49 --> 00:14:52

Allah Allahu Allah says, Oh, well Oh, my booty Abby here Rasulullah

00:14:52 --> 00:14:55

sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Minal ye wrote your Salah had to have in

00:14:55 --> 00:14:59

Nome, the first of the revelations of the ye

00:15:00 --> 00:15:03

Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam received were actually in

00:15:03 --> 00:15:06

pious dreams, righteous dreams in his sleep.

00:15:08 --> 00:15:11

So the first type of communication that Allah subhanaw taala provided

00:15:11 --> 00:15:14

to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was through his dreams

00:15:14 --> 00:15:19

for cannula Euro ro Ian Elijah at myth, Elijah at myth, Lu falak is

00:15:19 --> 00:15:23

sub sub, whenever he would see a dream, whenever he would see a

00:15:23 --> 00:15:27

dream, it would, very soon, very quickly, the next day when he

00:15:27 --> 00:15:30

would wake up, it would essentially become a reality just

00:15:30 --> 00:15:35

like the morning is so bright and so evident. Right, so he would see

00:15:35 --> 00:15:38

something in his dream. And then after it will become very clear,

00:15:38 --> 00:15:44

after that, the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam was made to made

00:15:44 --> 00:15:48

was basically made to like to stay in solitude. So that's why he

00:15:48 --> 00:15:51

would retreat to the heart to the cave. And that's where he would

00:15:51 --> 00:15:55

stay in, in in the cave of Hira. And that's where he would do some

00:15:55 --> 00:15:58

kind of worship, some kind of meditation, some kind of worship

00:15:58 --> 00:16:00

for a given number of days. And then after that, he would come

00:16:00 --> 00:16:03

back, and he would take provisions and he would go back to there

00:16:03 --> 00:16:05

because there were no stores or anything down there. He would

00:16:05 --> 00:16:08

actually take some food and so on, and then he would come back. Now

00:16:08 --> 00:16:11

what happened is that while he was in this process, where he would go

00:16:11 --> 00:16:14

to these places for a few days each time and then he would come

00:16:14 --> 00:16:17

back, you'd go there again, on one of these occasions, he was

00:16:17 --> 00:16:20

suddenly there when suddenly an angel appears in front of him.

00:16:20 --> 00:16:26

Right, in a form an angel, probably in the form of a person

00:16:26 --> 00:16:29

or something comes in front of him. And the angel says

00:16:31 --> 00:16:35

ikura read. So the Prophet sallallahu sallam said Myrna

00:16:35 --> 00:16:41

Bukhari in I don't know how to read, I cannot read. So this angel

00:16:42 --> 00:16:46

takes hold of him and embraces him to such a degree that it's very

00:16:46 --> 00:16:50

hard, very powerful embrace. And he says it was like to, to my

00:16:50 --> 00:16:54

extent that I couldn't bear it any longer. And then he let me go. And

00:16:54 --> 00:16:57

then he said, again, read. And again, I said, I don't know how to

00:16:57 --> 00:17:01

read. So again, he takes ahold of me again, and gives me this

00:17:01 --> 00:17:05

really, really strong embrace, and again, takes me right to my end,

00:17:05 --> 00:17:09

and then he lets me go. And then again, he says, Read. So I said,

00:17:09 --> 00:17:10

Marina Bukhari in

00:17:11 --> 00:17:15

Marina Bukhari now, in this case, it's the same words as before Matt

00:17:15 --> 00:17:18

and Bukhari, in which we've been translating so far as I do not

00:17:18 --> 00:17:21

know how to read because of obviously Watson did not, was not

00:17:21 --> 00:17:25

taught how to read, okay, to read and write. Now, on this occasion,

00:17:25 --> 00:17:29

it's the same words, but many have interpreted this as saying, What

00:17:29 --> 00:17:32

should I read? If you're so insisting, okay, what should I

00:17:32 --> 00:17:36

read ma n or Bukharin? Again, in Arabic, this could mean What

00:17:36 --> 00:17:40

should I read? And it can also mean I'm I do not, I am not a

00:17:40 --> 00:17:43

reader. So what should I read? So in this case, when he asked that

00:17:43 --> 00:17:48

question, that's when he built it he Salam said it, Cora Bismillah

00:17:48 --> 00:17:54

Beacon, the HOT DOG HOT, call us. I mean, either, Cora whare Bukal,

00:17:54 --> 00:17:58

Quran, Allah, the AI lemma, we'll call them, read in the Name of

00:17:58 --> 00:18:02

your Lord who created who created the insulin, the human being from

00:18:02 --> 00:18:07

a clot and read in the Name of your Lord who is most benevolent,

00:18:07 --> 00:18:12

the one who taught by the pen. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa

00:18:12 --> 00:18:15

salam, this for him. This was an amazing experience. It was an

00:18:15 --> 00:18:19

extraordinary, very incredible experience. And it was very

00:18:19 --> 00:18:21

difficult for the Prophet salallahu Alaihe salam to figure

00:18:21 --> 00:18:23

this out. It was like all of a sudden, he'd never had this

00:18:23 --> 00:18:27

experience before. Yes, he'd had some dreams. But this was an a

00:18:27 --> 00:18:30

very unusual experience, not something that you have normally,

00:18:30 --> 00:18:33

it's almost like he he he had this huge.

00:18:35 --> 00:18:39

The experience was so profound that you can only tell by the way

00:18:39 --> 00:18:43

he felt afterwards because it said that after that he quickly went

00:18:43 --> 00:18:47

back home, and his heart was trembling. His heart was shaking,

00:18:48 --> 00:18:52

right? He probably did not know what to make of this. So quickly,

00:18:52 --> 00:18:55

he went in and Hadiya been to Hawaii with his wife are the

00:18:55 --> 00:18:59

Allahu Anhu was at home. So he went in there and he said zombie

00:18:59 --> 00:19:02

loony zombie Loony, which means cover me up, cover me up. Now

00:19:02 --> 00:19:05

that's a really interesting idea. When a person is terrified of

00:19:05 --> 00:19:08

something when a person is really perturbed in some way, it really

00:19:08 --> 00:19:11

helps. That's why you give people a hug when they're terrified of

00:19:11 --> 00:19:15

something. It just kind of helps there's a there's a certain

00:19:15 --> 00:19:18

benefit that you get certain comfort that you feel so he it's

00:19:18 --> 00:19:23

almost like he was feeling cold. And that's why it was he asked to

00:19:23 --> 00:19:27

be wrapped up. So then that's what they did. Until finally this. This

00:19:27 --> 00:19:33

this terror and this, this, this feeling disappeared from him. So

00:19:33 --> 00:19:36

then after that, that's when he told her these are the Allahu anha

00:19:36 --> 00:19:39

liquid hashy To Allah NFC. I'm actually fearful of myself like

00:19:39 --> 00:19:42

what happened to me what kind of an experience is this? What who

00:19:42 --> 00:19:47

was this person? Right and is this what's going on here? Right? And

00:19:47 --> 00:19:50

what He's fearful of is that maybe this is the shaytaan or something

00:19:50 --> 00:19:54

else and immediately Khadija the Allahu Ana says color Wallah. He

00:19:54 --> 00:19:58

may use Zeke Allahu Abba. There is actually no way that ALLAH SubhanA

00:19:58 --> 00:19:59

wa Taala will

00:20:00 --> 00:20:04

humiliate you. There's no way that you could be humiliate. And then

00:20:04 --> 00:20:06

she gives reason this is his wife and she's giving reasons why he

00:20:06 --> 00:20:10

cannot be humiliated. Because in Nicola Tassilo Rahim, because what

00:20:10 --> 00:20:13

you're you're you're very good at tying the knots of kinship, you're

00:20:13 --> 00:20:17

very good with your relatives with your family, right. And what that

00:20:17 --> 00:20:21

means will kill what took simple math do or took the day for tour

00:20:21 --> 00:20:24

in an hour, it will help. So you mentioned these five points about

00:20:24 --> 00:20:27

him, you're very good with your family, you're always good with

00:20:27 --> 00:20:31

them, you don't break up and everything like that. You carry

00:20:31 --> 00:20:33

the burdens of others, you help others and you carry their

00:20:33 --> 00:20:38

burdens, right. You don't let them do it themselves. You assist those

00:20:38 --> 00:20:42

who don't have to earn right you assist those who don't have you

00:20:42 --> 00:20:47

help them earn and you you make them you benefit them in that way.

00:20:48 --> 00:20:53

You also are very hospitable to your to your guests took the day

00:20:53 --> 00:20:56

if you are hospitable to your guests, and you assist people

00:20:56 --> 00:20:59

whenever they have any difficulty whenever you know they have any

00:20:59 --> 00:21:03

calamities or any other difficulties in life, you assist

00:21:03 --> 00:21:07

them. Now these essentially she had this belief that if there was

00:21:07 --> 00:21:09

somebody of that nature, I mean this is a perennial belief that

00:21:09 --> 00:21:12

anybody who's a good person like that they can't be overcome by the

00:21:12 --> 00:21:15

devil they cannot be influenced by the devil this is not necessarily

00:21:15 --> 00:21:19

an Islamic idea from before, right? Clearly this is as Muslims

00:21:19 --> 00:21:22

we believe in this but this was something that they also believed

00:21:22 --> 00:21:24

and that's why Khadija the Allah and said that there's no way that

00:21:24 --> 00:21:30

you could be negatively influenced by the shaytaan. However, she had

00:21:30 --> 00:21:34

a cousin whose name was what aka Nofal ignore, ignore acid even

00:21:34 --> 00:21:39

Abdullah Russa, who was her cousin brother, and he injure Hillier

00:21:39 --> 00:21:42

time, he'd left the religion of the, you know, the people of

00:21:42 --> 00:21:47

Makkah of worshipping idols and so on. He'd actually become a Nasrani

00:21:47 --> 00:21:50

and Nazarene which is a follower of SRA salam from whatever he

00:21:50 --> 00:21:53

found. So she quickly took him to him because he was he was the most

00:21:53 --> 00:21:57

knowledgeable person that she knew. And they needed to interpret

00:21:57 --> 00:22:01

this experience. What's going on here? Who is this that they saw?

00:22:01 --> 00:22:04

Who is this that the Prophet sallallahu Sallam had seen? Right?

00:22:06 --> 00:22:10

This worker is no fool. He could actually write in Hebrew, he knew

00:22:10 --> 00:22:13

how to write Hebrew. And that's why he would write the Evangel the

00:22:13 --> 00:22:17

Bible right in Hebrew, right? And, you know, probably he would teach

00:22:17 --> 00:22:19

it to people or whatever the case is, but by this time, he'd become

00:22:19 --> 00:22:23

very old and he'd actually become blind as well. Hadees or the Allah

00:22:23 --> 00:22:27

said, my cousin, can you please listen to your, to your to your

00:22:27 --> 00:22:29

cousin, please? Meaning the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam,

00:22:29 --> 00:22:33

he's not his. He's not his cousin, but you just refer to him as the

00:22:33 --> 00:22:37

cousin. So what I said, Okay, son of my, my brother, what did you

00:22:37 --> 00:22:40

see? What was your experience? So the Prophet sallallahu Sallam told

00:22:40 --> 00:22:43

him exactly what happened. So now what occur immediately because

00:22:43 --> 00:22:45

he's read the early books, he's read the books, and he's seen how

00:22:45 --> 00:22:49

Gibreel Ali Salam comes and the angel comes to the prophets. He

00:22:49 --> 00:22:54

said, Yes, this is the same angel that had come down to Musa alayhis

00:22:54 --> 00:22:58

salaam. He says, Oh, how I wish I was younger and stronger. How I

00:22:58 --> 00:23:01

wish I was younger and stronger. And then he said,

00:23:03 --> 00:23:08

How I wish that I would be alive when your people will humiliate

00:23:08 --> 00:23:12

you, when they will degrade you. So he can see it all immediately.

00:23:12 --> 00:23:14

He can see it all because he said, This is exactly what happened

00:23:14 --> 00:23:17

before. So the Prophet sallallahu sallam said, our mortgaging your

00:23:17 --> 00:23:22

home, are they going to evict me? Are they going to throw me out?

00:23:22 --> 00:23:26

Are they going to expel me from here? And he said, Yes, No man has

00:23:26 --> 00:23:30

come with something just like what you have come with, meaning the

00:23:30 --> 00:23:34

experience that you have had with this angel, right? Anybody who's

00:23:34 --> 00:23:38

had that they have been dealt with enmity, right? People have become

00:23:38 --> 00:23:43

the, the enemy. And he says, if then he said to him, that the day

00:23:43 --> 00:23:47

when this happens, if I am to be found on that day, then I will

00:23:47 --> 00:23:50

fully assist you, I will assist you in the fullest manner.

00:23:50 --> 00:23:54

However, he did not remain that long. And very soon afterwards, he

00:23:54 --> 00:23:59

passed away very soon afterwards, he passed away. Now, there's

00:23:59 --> 00:24:04

another Hadith in where a job if not Abdullah Al on Saudi Radi

00:24:04 --> 00:24:09

Allahu Anhu is talking about what happened is after the initial

00:24:09 --> 00:24:13

revelation, what happened is that the province of awesome didn't

00:24:13 --> 00:24:17

have a revelation for a very long time, it stopped, right? He was

00:24:17 --> 00:24:21

looking forward to it, and then suddenly it stopped. So that's

00:24:21 --> 00:24:23

that time is what you call the Federal Bureau. He this happened

00:24:23 --> 00:24:26

right at the beginning, after that it would happen continuously, you

00:24:26 --> 00:24:30

know, for the other 23 years for the rest of the 23 years. But in

00:24:30 --> 00:24:33

the beginning, there was a massive gap in between. And

00:24:34 --> 00:24:39

so in this hadith, it says that, once the Prophet salallahu alayhi

00:24:39 --> 00:24:42

salam said that once I was walking when I suddenly heard

00:24:43 --> 00:24:48

a sound from the sky, so I looked up for a fact to basally I looked

00:24:48 --> 00:24:55

up at the heavens, and suddenly there is an angel, right? There is

00:24:55 --> 00:24:57

an angel there, and he is

00:24:59 --> 00:25:00

he

00:25:00 --> 00:25:05

He has come to Hara. And he is sitting there on a chair between

00:25:05 --> 00:25:08

the heavens and the earth. Now, that's a vision that he had. He

00:25:08 --> 00:25:12

saw him like that. Now, of course, there's no cameras and all that,

00:25:12 --> 00:25:14

hey, let me take out my camera and take this picture or something

00:25:14 --> 00:25:16

like that, you know, this was an experience that probably still

00:25:16 --> 00:25:19

awesome. It's an extraordinary experience. I don't think anybody

00:25:19 --> 00:25:22

would be thinking about a camera at that time. And he says for it

00:25:22 --> 00:25:25

to mean who so this is another version of that event that I

00:25:25 --> 00:25:29

became, I became very terrified by this. So I returned and I said,

00:25:29 --> 00:25:33

Zoom melanism Maloney, and then after that Allah subhanaw taala

00:25:33 --> 00:25:37

revealed the next verse to be revealed after Ecuador bismi the

00:25:37 --> 00:25:39

rest of the surah may have come down later, but the next verse

00:25:39 --> 00:25:43

that came down was your, uh, you have death in

00:25:44 --> 00:25:49

the world back if I can bear with ya Baca Fatah here. We're rouges

00:25:49 --> 00:25:54

ephah jewel, one atom notice tech field. So this is the beginning

00:25:54 --> 00:25:57

verses of certain would fit, right oh person who is wrapped up or one

00:25:57 --> 00:26:00

who is wrapped up, stand up and warn the people for under what

00:26:00 --> 00:26:05

Rebecca can bear and magnify your Lord, extol your Lord

00:26:06 --> 00:26:10

and purify your clothing and a number of these different

00:26:10 --> 00:26:13

guidances were provided to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa

00:26:13 --> 00:26:18

sallam. So now you've had two experiences, we've learned of two

00:26:18 --> 00:26:22

experiences. One is where the angel comes in, says the words of

00:26:22 --> 00:26:24

the revelation of the Quran to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi

00:26:24 --> 00:26:28

wasallam. And this other one, which is a bit ambiguous as to

00:26:28 --> 00:26:32

exactly how he heard this, we don't really know. So let us try

00:26:32 --> 00:26:35

to look at all the Hadith to try to understand how exactly the

00:26:35 --> 00:26:38

revelation would come to the Prophet salallahu alayhi salam if

00:26:38 --> 00:26:41

there were other ways as well, the first, the best thing for us to do

00:26:41 --> 00:26:44

in this case is that let us first look at a verse in surah. Two

00:26:44 --> 00:26:47

Shura in the Quran verse 51, Allah subhanaw taala says,

00:26:48 --> 00:26:52

well, America and Ally Bashar in a you can leave a hula hoop in

00:26:52 --> 00:26:58

Washington or New hijab in a we will say La Rasulillah for you

00:26:58 --> 00:27:00

here be izany Hema Yasha

00:27:02 --> 00:27:04

in Hawaii Yun Hakeem

00:27:06 --> 00:27:09

it is not for anybody for any human being that Allah subhanaw

00:27:09 --> 00:27:11

taala speaks to them except

00:27:13 --> 00:27:19

by revelation, ye or from behind a veil, or that Allah subhanaw taala

00:27:19 --> 00:27:25

will send a messenger right, who would then can communicate this by

00:27:25 --> 00:27:27

the will of Allah subhanho wa Taala by the permission of Allah

00:27:27 --> 00:27:31

as much as he wishes and Allah subhanho wa Taala is the Allah is

00:27:31 --> 00:27:35

the high one and the y is one. So in this verse, which is the

00:27:35 --> 00:27:38

conclusive which is a conclusive verse of the Quran, Allah subhanaw

00:27:38 --> 00:27:41

taala is saying, there are three ways that Allah subhanaw taala

00:27:41 --> 00:27:45

communicates with people, number one, either by direct revelation,

00:27:45 --> 00:27:49

why, number two, from behind the veil, which is also a source of

00:27:49 --> 00:27:52

Revelation, it's also a source of communication. It's also a type of

00:27:53 --> 00:27:56

whether you call it a revelation. And number three, he sends a

00:27:56 --> 00:28:00

messenger generally an angel that we're speaking about. So this is

00:28:00 --> 00:28:03

telling us about three parts. Right? This is telling us about

00:28:03 --> 00:28:07

three ways that this happens. The first one is by that really quick,

00:28:07 --> 00:28:11

subtle, very invisible kind of communication, right? The second

00:28:11 --> 00:28:15

one is where Allah subhanaw taala will speak to them from behind the

00:28:15 --> 00:28:17

veil. So you can't see Allah subhanaw taala, but he will speak.

00:28:18 --> 00:28:20

This is exactly what happened with Musa alayhis salam as well and

00:28:20 --> 00:28:23

with the Prophet sallallaahu Salam on several occasions. And the

00:28:23 --> 00:28:26

third one is where the angel will come. So the communication is done

00:28:26 --> 00:28:29

through a messenger, which is the angel. Now what we're going to

00:28:29 --> 00:28:33

look at is the OMA have actually studied the various different

00:28:33 --> 00:28:38

Hadith about this. And they've tried to bring together all of the

00:28:38 --> 00:28:41

different narrations, all of the different information that we

00:28:41 --> 00:28:44

have, regarding how Allah subhanaw taala would communicate with the

00:28:44 --> 00:28:46

Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam and how this Quran eventually was

00:28:46 --> 00:28:51

compiled together in the way it was. So the first one is a ruya

00:28:51 --> 00:28:55

aside, which is the dreams, right? And I've mentioned the Hadith from

00:28:55 --> 00:28:59

Aisha to the Allahu Anhu about this before, where the Prophet

00:28:59 --> 00:29:03

sallallahu Sallam before he actually received any manifest way

00:29:03 --> 00:29:06

from from Allah subhanho wa taala. He started off with dreams. The

00:29:06 --> 00:29:13

second one is that the angel will come, an angel would arrive and it

00:29:13 --> 00:29:18

would the angel would inspire the revelation directly into the

00:29:18 --> 00:29:21

heart, the mind of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he

00:29:21 --> 00:29:25

would not see the angel, he would know that there's an angel there,

00:29:25 --> 00:29:28

right because he was having this experience and he was like he was

00:29:28 --> 00:29:31

giving him this message. Right and the Prophet sallallahu Sallam

00:29:31 --> 00:29:35

would download it almost you could say, right? There's a hadith

00:29:35 --> 00:29:39

that's related by Imam Hakeem in his mustard rock from YBNL Masuda

00:29:39 --> 00:29:42

the Allahu anhu, where the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said

00:29:42 --> 00:29:47

in the rural kudos NEFA theory, that the angel right, this Holy

00:29:47 --> 00:29:53

Spirit has inspired this directly into my heart into my into my

00:29:53 --> 00:29:56

soul, essentially. Right and what was it and that particular

00:29:56 --> 00:29:59

occasion? It was an innocent Lindamood I had the test

00:30:00 --> 00:30:02

communities Kochava tabula. Well, as you may know, if you thought

00:30:02 --> 00:30:06

that was the verse that no knifes would die until they fully acquire

00:30:06 --> 00:30:10

all of the sustenance has been written for them. So now you fear

00:30:10 --> 00:30:11

Allah. And

00:30:13 --> 00:30:17

look, look for your wealth in the best of ways, right? Don't resort

00:30:17 --> 00:30:22

to bad means and bad ways of earning your wealth. So that we're

00:30:22 --> 00:30:25

being told that it's the angel that's coming and directly

00:30:25 --> 00:30:28

inspiring but the promises and does not see the angel. Number

00:30:28 --> 00:30:30

three. Now remember all of these words that we're going to discuss

00:30:30 --> 00:30:33

the seven or eight types that we're going to discuss, they all

00:30:33 --> 00:30:36

are some form of the three that we discussed earlier. It's a

00:30:36 --> 00:30:41

revelation, a quick communication, or it's done through behind a

00:30:41 --> 00:30:44

veil, or it's done through a messenger, sometimes all three

00:30:44 --> 00:30:47

things are combined together or two of them are combined together

00:30:47 --> 00:30:53

as well. The third one, the third type is where an angel would come.

00:30:54 --> 00:30:58

And in the form of a man, generally, that was in the here,

00:30:58 --> 00:31:01

Kobe Radi Allahu Anhu was formed, he was a very, very handsome

00:31:01 --> 00:31:05

Sahabi. And sometimes when Junior Islam used to come, he used to

00:31:05 --> 00:31:08

come in the form of de cultura, the Allah one, right, the

00:31:08 --> 00:31:11

prophets, Allah would figure it out. Others wouldn't. And the

00:31:11 --> 00:31:14

reason why the hair color the Allah on why he would come in the

00:31:14 --> 00:31:19

form of a human being, is because so you didn't want this huge angel

00:31:19 --> 00:31:22

coming always in town. Right? Because that will really cause a

00:31:22 --> 00:31:25

lot of confusion. And you know, it would attract too much attention.

00:31:25 --> 00:31:28

So it would come in the form of a human being, right. So we would

00:31:28 --> 00:31:31

think, Oh, it's just a man, maybe it's a stranger. Sometimes it

00:31:31 --> 00:31:33

would be a stranger, sometimes he would be somebody that they could

00:31:33 --> 00:31:36

maybe recognize, but he was not there at the time, like they're

00:31:36 --> 00:31:39

here. We'll be ready Allah one. However, as you know, the famous

00:31:39 --> 00:31:42

hadith of Gibreel, which is the first Hadith in many books, as

00:31:42 --> 00:31:46

well, the the first hadith of Sahih Muslim, for example, the

00:31:46 --> 00:31:49

hadith of Gibreel, at Eastern where he comes in the form of a

00:31:49 --> 00:31:53

human being with jet black hair, right, white clothes, nobody

00:31:53 --> 00:31:56

recognized him. So it was an absolute strangers, he was not the

00:31:56 --> 00:31:59

helical gear or the Allahu, and in this case, he came. And this was

00:31:59 --> 00:32:02

to create an enigma at this particular point in time, he

00:32:02 --> 00:32:05

wanted to attract people at this time. He is a stranger, he's come

00:32:05 --> 00:32:09

from out of town, but you don't see that his clothes are soiled or

00:32:09 --> 00:32:12

anything like that. He's got jet back black hair, white clothes,

00:32:12 --> 00:32:16

and he's then comes and sits really close to the boxer lives

00:32:16 --> 00:32:19

and starts asking him questions. So an angel would come like that

00:32:19 --> 00:32:21

as well. Number four,

00:32:22 --> 00:32:27

an angel would come in a state in his angelic state, and provide

00:32:27 --> 00:32:30

this ye and revelation to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa

00:32:30 --> 00:32:34

sallam. Now, the royalism describes this one as being the

00:32:34 --> 00:32:39

most difficult one. This experience was one in which it

00:32:39 --> 00:32:42

says that when this would happen, he couldn't necessarily see that

00:32:42 --> 00:32:46

angel all the time. But he says he would hear almost like the ringing

00:32:46 --> 00:32:52

of bells almost grew, this ringing of bell sound. That's how he would

00:32:52 --> 00:32:56

know it is the ye coming from the prophecy coming through the angel.

00:32:56 --> 00:33:01

Right? That was the most severe form on him, he would find it very

00:33:01 --> 00:33:04

difficult to absorb that one. It was like the revelation is coming

00:33:04 --> 00:33:07

down and he's absorbing the ye. I'll give you a bit more about

00:33:07 --> 00:33:11

that. The fifth one is where Gibreel Alehissalaam would come.

00:33:11 --> 00:33:15

And this only happened twice where God like Islam came in His

00:33:15 --> 00:33:19

original form. So the prophets of Allah Islam in this case saw

00:33:19 --> 00:33:23

Jabril and Islam in His original form. Now the original form of

00:33:23 --> 00:33:27

Jubilee rally Salaam is awesome, right? It is, he had essentially

00:33:27 --> 00:33:31

when he saw him, he saw him. If you go out of the Harlem today

00:33:31 --> 00:33:35

from King AbdulAziz gate and you go up towards the Kings palaces,

00:33:35 --> 00:33:38

that place is called a Gian. That is where the Prophet sallallahu

00:33:38 --> 00:33:40

alayhi wa sallam saw

00:33:41 --> 00:33:45

Djibouti Lottie Salaam in all of his glory, wings outstretched,

00:33:45 --> 00:33:49

right? And he was essentially encompassing the whole of the East

00:33:49 --> 00:33:52

and the West, there was an awesome sight. That was the one time where

00:33:52 --> 00:33:55

he saw Him in His original form. And the second time or the other

00:33:55 --> 00:33:59

time that he saw Him in His original form is as mentioned in

00:33:59 --> 00:34:03

the Quran in surah, najem right, in certain najem verses 13 to 18.

00:34:03 --> 00:34:08

Allah subhanaw taala says, what are called the Gunas Latin Ohara

00:34:08 --> 00:34:15

Are you see the Lattimore Taha Are you there? Hi, Jen, Natalie, we're

00:34:15 --> 00:34:23

at OSHA Siddaramaiah OSHA amaza boss or warmer Tahoe Laqad mean to

00:34:23 --> 00:34:27

be Hill Kuvera. So he sees him up in the heavens on their journey on

00:34:27 --> 00:34:30

their ascension journey on the night of the Mirage. That was the

00:34:30 --> 00:34:34

time the other time when he got a vision of him in his original

00:34:34 --> 00:34:36

form. Now,

00:34:37 --> 00:34:41

all of these besides the first one, which is clearly dreams, all

00:34:41 --> 00:34:45

the other ones, all of them are to do with what Allah subhanaw taala

00:34:45 --> 00:34:48

says in the Quran that Allah subhanaw taala will send an angel

00:34:48 --> 00:34:52

and the angel will then inspire the words and communicate the

00:34:52 --> 00:34:55

words that Allah subhanaw taala has message to the Prophet

00:34:55 --> 00:35:00

sallallahu alayhi wa sallam or to the messengers Now, number six

00:35:00 --> 00:35:05

X is where Allah subhanaw taala speaks to the Prophet. Right the

00:35:05 --> 00:35:08

sixth type of communication is where Allah subhanaw taala speaks

00:35:08 --> 00:35:14

to the prophet from behind a veil. So you they would know that it's

00:35:14 --> 00:35:16

Allah subhanaw taala speaking to them, but they couldn't see

00:35:16 --> 00:35:22

anything. This happened during the Miraj were after the province the

00:35:22 --> 00:35:25

last one was given. Right? So you know, the time when the province

00:35:25 --> 00:35:28

also was given 50 prayers and Allah subhanaw taala met with the

00:35:28 --> 00:35:30

province allies and the majority of the Sahaba their opinion is

00:35:30 --> 00:35:34

that Allah was actually seen by the Prophet sallallahu Sallam the

00:35:34 --> 00:35:37

Prophet saw some actually saw Allah the majority believe that

00:35:37 --> 00:35:40

okay, the majority believe that, right? So we're not talking about

00:35:40 --> 00:35:43

that's a very special communication that happened, okay.

00:35:43 --> 00:35:47

However, after that, when Allah when the Prophet salallahu Salam

00:35:47 --> 00:35:50

kept coming down and going back and Musa Islam kept sending him

00:35:50 --> 00:35:52

back up and saying that no, you must decrease it, you must

00:35:52 --> 00:35:56

decrease it, your ummah will not be able to do 50 prayers. There's

00:35:56 --> 00:35:59

just too much in a day. I mean, imagine if we had 50 prayers to do

00:35:59 --> 00:36:02

in a day. Imagine if you had to do 50 present a day that would be

00:36:02 --> 00:36:05

very difficult. So thank Musa alayhis salam, right. So now

00:36:05 --> 00:36:08

whenever he he would go back and then it would be decreased and

00:36:08 --> 00:36:12

finally on the final moment, Allah subhanaw taala said to Dr. Salah

00:36:12 --> 00:36:15

and this was behind the veil it says come to Fetty Lottie we'll

00:36:15 --> 00:36:18

have to either a buddy okay, this is the final decision, I have

00:36:18 --> 00:36:22

lightened the burden on my OMA so it will be five and they will

00:36:22 --> 00:36:25

other than my you but they will call you later. Yeah. And there

00:36:25 --> 00:36:27

was some other things that look the words never changed. So you

00:36:27 --> 00:36:30

will have to you will do five prayers but you'll still get the

00:36:30 --> 00:36:32

reward of 50 All of this communication was done at that

00:36:32 --> 00:36:36

time as well. Likewise, when Musa Islam had that very special

00:36:37 --> 00:36:42

experience of Allah subhanaw taala speaking to him, which you know

00:36:42 --> 00:36:47

when he heard from new DM in shelter in Word, Amen He Philbrook

00:36:47 --> 00:36:52

it the mobile raka team in a Shara and Musa in the Allahu Akbar Allah

00:36:52 --> 00:36:56

Allah me, what an experience. He heard the sound coming from a bush

00:36:57 --> 00:37:00

from a tree, right? So he couldn't see Allah subhanho wa taala. But

00:37:00 --> 00:37:03

he knew this was Allah. And the sound they say that Allah has

00:37:03 --> 00:37:06

words when he speaks according to many opinions is that this is not

00:37:06 --> 00:37:09

a sound that you can actually hear the way you're hearing me right

00:37:09 --> 00:37:12

now. According to some it's like that. But others they say that

00:37:12 --> 00:37:15

this is a special communication that you actually

00:37:16 --> 00:37:20

absorb, absorb with every pore of your body. It's an experience that

00:37:20 --> 00:37:23

you actually take the communication and you absorb it.

00:37:23 --> 00:37:26

It's not like you hear something through your ears, but your whole

00:37:26 --> 00:37:30

body is needed more like a 3d 4d experience. Right? When Allah

00:37:30 --> 00:37:33

subhanaw taala speaks to somebody and that's what made Musa alayhis

00:37:33 --> 00:37:37

salam, the Kaleem of Allah, the interlocutor with Allah. I mean,

00:37:37 --> 00:37:40

Allah subhanaw taala spoke to all the prophets, right? He will

00:37:40 --> 00:37:43

reveal to all the Prophet he would send messages to all the prophets

00:37:43 --> 00:37:46

and the revelation for Musa Islam is considered that because, you

00:37:46 --> 00:37:49

know, this was a very special occasion and the way it was done,

00:37:49 --> 00:37:53

that he had the words of Allah subhanaw taala speak to him. That

00:37:53 --> 00:37:57

was the sixth type. And I mean, there's very subtle differences

00:37:57 --> 00:38:00

between them if you're confused, and the seventh one is where Allah

00:38:00 --> 00:38:02

subhanaw taala speaks directly

00:38:04 --> 00:38:06

to the prophets, Allah Allahu Allah, which I've already

00:38:06 --> 00:38:09

indicated towards this one, the prophets, Allah subhanaw taala

00:38:09 --> 00:38:11

speaks directly to the Prophet sallallahu Sallam without an

00:38:11 --> 00:38:16

angel, without any other intermediary without a veil. And

00:38:16 --> 00:38:20

this was, this is what happened once right especially, which is

00:38:20 --> 00:38:23

when the Prophet also went on the ascension and he saw Allah

00:38:23 --> 00:38:25

subhanaw taala and

00:38:26 --> 00:38:30

Allah subhanaw taala spoke to him directly. You see, not everybody

00:38:30 --> 00:38:33

can receive a revelation from Allah subhana wa taala. In this

00:38:33 --> 00:38:36

very special way, you need to be prepared for that. And the

00:38:36 --> 00:38:39

prophets Allah Lawson's heart was actually prepared more than once

00:38:39 --> 00:38:42

to receive these special revelations from Allah subhanaw

00:38:42 --> 00:38:45

taala. One was when he was still, in his wet nurses house Halima the

00:38:45 --> 00:38:50

Allah Juana and his heart was taken out, his body was split, his

00:38:50 --> 00:38:53

chest was split, his heart was taken out and specially washed.

00:38:53 --> 00:38:57

Right. And his brothers, they were very worried about what was

00:38:57 --> 00:39:01

happening to him and so on. But that was Gibreel Ali Salam, the

00:39:01 --> 00:39:06

angels had come to wash his wash his heart, right to make it

00:39:06 --> 00:39:10

special, because you know, it's not, you can't get the words of

00:39:10 --> 00:39:12

Allah subhanaw taala in your heart in the way that always a lot of

00:39:12 --> 00:39:16

them had to receive it, to then give it to everybody. And so we

00:39:16 --> 00:39:19

have the Quran today, he was prepared specially also when he

00:39:19 --> 00:39:22

went on the ascension, the Mirage, the same thing happened there

00:39:22 --> 00:39:25

again. So there were two or three times when this experience

00:39:25 --> 00:39:28

happened, where his heart was specially prepared for this.

00:39:29 --> 00:39:34

Now, let us just understand the several types of revelation that

00:39:34 --> 00:39:39

let's just understand them a bit more in terms of the nature of it.

00:39:39 --> 00:39:41

So for example

00:39:43 --> 00:39:46

one thing we know is that when the Prophet said Watson would receive

00:39:46 --> 00:39:49

a ye remember these are the words of ALLAH, the eternal Words of

00:39:49 --> 00:39:54

Allah are being sent down to the Prophet sallallahu sallam. Now, I

00:39:54 --> 00:39:57

don't know if you've noticed, but when you're taking a very, very

00:39:58 --> 00:40:00

heavy download on your system

00:40:00 --> 00:40:03

All right, when there's a huge download your process and

00:40:03 --> 00:40:06

everything will act up, right, it will generate a lot of heat

00:40:06 --> 00:40:09

because it's doing a lot of calculations to receive all of

00:40:09 --> 00:40:12

this information. There's a burden upon it. Now I know that's not

00:40:12 --> 00:40:15

exactly what is happening here. But just to give you an idea when

00:40:15 --> 00:40:19

the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is receiving, when the

00:40:19 --> 00:40:22

Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa Salam is receiving this Words of Allah,

00:40:22 --> 00:40:24

what is he receiving? Not just anything, these are the special

00:40:24 --> 00:40:29

words of Allah. That means there's a huge heaviness in that the

00:40:29 --> 00:40:32

Prophet salallahu alayhi salam used to actually become heavy used

00:40:32 --> 00:40:35

to start sweating. That is what's mentioned. So I inshallah the

00:40:35 --> 00:40:38

Allahu Anhu relates the hardest job no Hisham once asked the

00:40:38 --> 00:40:41

Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, ya rasool Allah, how does

00:40:41 --> 00:40:45

the ye come to you? Tell us how you receive the why even

00:40:45 --> 00:40:47

understand the nature of it. So the prophets Allah I'm obliged, he

00:40:47 --> 00:40:52

says, a urine and yet teeny, Miss LaSalle Salah till juris.

00:40:53 --> 00:40:57

Sometimes it comes to me like the ringing of bells, meaning I don't

00:40:57 --> 00:41:01

see anything, but I hear like the ringing of bells. Right? Now, it

00:41:01 --> 00:41:04

doesn't have to be literally the ringing of bells, but it seems

00:41:04 --> 00:41:07

like this kind of incessant sound, not don't think that it has to be

00:41:07 --> 00:41:10

like, bing, bing, bing, bing, you know, this ringing of a bell, it

00:41:10 --> 00:41:13

doesn't have to be like that. It's just showing that, you know, when

00:41:13 --> 00:41:17

you ring a bell, there's an incessant continuous sound, like,

00:41:17 --> 00:41:21

you know, just, you know, like a continuous sound. It could be

00:41:21 --> 00:41:25

something like that. He says it's like, during, like an incessant

00:41:25 --> 00:41:27

continuous sound. And then he said

00:41:29 --> 00:41:32

that that is the most difficult one for me, that's the most

00:41:32 --> 00:41:37

difficult one for me to bear. And then after that, that sound goes

00:41:37 --> 00:41:40

away. That state goes away from me. And I just remember what was

00:41:40 --> 00:41:44

told me told to me. So the communication, the revelation, I

00:41:44 --> 00:41:47

just remember it afterwards. Right? So I don't have to do

00:41:47 --> 00:41:50

anything, but I have to undergo this really, really difficult

00:41:50 --> 00:41:54

experience. And then after that, I get released from that. And

00:41:54 --> 00:41:59

suddenly I know the verses, right? Then he said, On other occasions,

00:42:00 --> 00:42:04

an angel is comes to me in the form of a man and he speaks to me.

00:42:04 --> 00:42:08

So then I just memorize what he says. So that's the one through

00:42:08 --> 00:42:12

the angel. I shot at the Allahu anha says, in explaining she says,

00:42:12 --> 00:42:16

I have seen him. When the revelation was coming down to him

00:42:16 --> 00:42:19

when he was coming down to him. It was a very severely cold day.

00:42:19 --> 00:42:22

Right? It was a very cold day, and the revelation was coming down to

00:42:22 --> 00:42:26

him. And when the revelation finished when this experience was

00:42:26 --> 00:42:28

over, he was sweating.

00:42:29 --> 00:42:33

So it's a freezing day, but he was sweating after the after the

00:42:33 --> 00:42:33

experience.

00:42:36 --> 00:42:42

So that's the one of them. And there's another Hadith related

00:42:42 --> 00:42:45

from Sati who obeyed from ignore Ibis or the Allahu Anhu.

00:42:47 --> 00:42:49

There's a verse in the Quran in surah trochlea Mala to Heinrich

00:42:49 --> 00:42:53

Mihaela, Sana Colita jalebi, that don't quickly move your tongue so

00:42:53 --> 00:42:57

that you know you can rush to memorize the Quran which I talked

00:42:57 --> 00:43:00

about yesterday as well. Right? Because when the revelation would

00:43:00 --> 00:43:03

come to Providence, and I would try to repeat it quickly, so that

00:43:03 --> 00:43:07

he could really quickly memorize it. So Allah said, you don't need

00:43:07 --> 00:43:11

to do that anymore. Right? So if not Abbas or the Allahu Anhu says

00:43:11 --> 00:43:16

that let me do this for you. So he started moving his lips, the way

00:43:16 --> 00:43:19

he'd seen the prophets Allah moving his lips and then say there

00:43:19 --> 00:43:22

are the Allah who said he didn't obey the tabby who'd seen this

00:43:22 --> 00:43:26

from birth to the Allahu Anhu and was then relating this incident

00:43:26 --> 00:43:28

later on. He says, let me do that for you as well. Let me show you

00:43:28 --> 00:43:32

how the Prophet saw some would move his lips. However, after

00:43:32 --> 00:43:33

that, that was only in the beginning. After that Allah

00:43:33 --> 00:43:37

subhanaw taala revealed this verse led to heartbreak be Healy Sana

00:43:37 --> 00:43:40

Colita jalebi in arlena jemar Who

00:43:41 --> 00:43:47

don't move your lips so fast, right? To rush this like this. We

00:43:47 --> 00:43:50

will have you memorize it, we will have you read it, and we will have

00:43:50 --> 00:43:53

you memorize it. And that's exactly what would happen. Right?

00:43:53 --> 00:43:55

The promise the last one then would just listen, and he would

00:43:55 --> 00:44:01

have just memorized whatever would happen. Right? Okay, the next one,

00:44:01 --> 00:44:03

which we're going to have to Inshallah, leave this for

00:44:03 --> 00:44:06

tomorrow. The next one is where the Prophet salallahu Salam would

00:44:06 --> 00:44:10

have an experience where he would hear like the humming like the

00:44:10 --> 00:44:13

buzzing of bees. So it's really interesting. You have the

00:44:13 --> 00:44:16

incessant sound of a bell first. And in this particular one,

00:44:17 --> 00:44:22

he it's like the, it's like the buzzing of bees. So that's this,

00:44:22 --> 00:44:24

that's the other experience that he would have. This is really

00:44:24 --> 00:44:28

interesting Inshallah, we will continue with this tomorrow. The

00:44:28 --> 00:44:31

Zocalo here may Allah subhanaw taala bless everyone and may Allah

00:44:31 --> 00:44:34

subhanaw taala bless this Ramadan and make it better than any

00:44:34 --> 00:44:38

Ramadan before it and allow us to be in touch with the Quran. And I

00:44:38 --> 00:44:42

would just say that if you can actually insha Allah subscribe to

00:44:42 --> 00:44:46

the channel. And if you can also let others know about this as well

00:44:46 --> 00:44:49

in sha Allah, may Allah subhanaw taala bless you all Salam aleikum

00:44:49 --> 00:44:53

wa rahmatullah wa barakato. Jazak. Allah here for listening. May

00:44:53 --> 00:44:57

Allah subhanho wa Taala bless you. And if you're finding this useful,

00:44:58 --> 00:44:58

you know

00:45:00 --> 00:45:04

As they say to that like button and subscribe button and forwarded

00:45:04 --> 00:45:08

on to others just like Allahu Salam Alaikum Warahmatullahi

00:45:08 --> 00:45:09
