			got even mineral wars in in, I'm
going to read the translation of

00:01:19 --> 00:01:23
			this. It requires a bit of
exposition to understand it

00:01:23 --> 00:01:27
			better. But this is what he says.
He says, Allah knew the servants

00:01:27 --> 00:01:33
			would anticipate the emergence of
the mystery of providence in

00:01:33 --> 00:01:39
			themselves. He knew that servants
would anticipate the emergence of

00:01:39 --> 00:01:42
			the mystery of providence in
themselves. So then he said, he

00:01:42 --> 00:01:46
			chooses whom He pleases for His
mercy in the Quran. That's what

00:01:46 --> 00:01:51
			Allah said. And he knew that had
he left them at that, they would

00:01:51 --> 00:01:55
			have abandoned all efforts by
relying on the eternal. So he

00:01:55 --> 00:02:01
			said, Surely the Mercy of Allah is
close to the doers of good that

00:02:01 --> 00:02:06
			for is complicated, it's not so
easy to understand that.

00:02:07 --> 00:02:11
			So essentially, what's happening
here is that Allah subhanaw taala,

00:02:11 --> 00:02:17
			knows in his infinite knowledge
from before, who is going to be

00:02:17 --> 00:02:21
			receiving His mercy, and who's not
going to be receiving His mercy.

00:02:22 --> 00:02:26
			And he knows that because his
knowledge encompasses everything

00:02:26 --> 00:02:27
			that will occur,

00:02:28 --> 00:02:33
			that has occurred, and that will
occur in the future. For him, it's

00:02:33 --> 00:02:37
			all the same. For us, it happens
in time, we have a past and

00:02:37 --> 00:02:41
			there's a future to come. And
there's a present for Allah

00:02:41 --> 00:02:43
			subhanho wa taala, he sees it all,

00:02:44 --> 00:02:46
			from eternity. And that's
something we're never going to

00:02:46 --> 00:02:51
			understand. Just like, if I'm to
try to listen to two people at

00:02:51 --> 00:02:54
			once, I can listen to I can
concentrate on one person, if

00:02:54 --> 00:02:57
			there's two people trying to speak
to me, it's going to be very

00:02:57 --> 00:03:00
			difficult for me to concentrate on
both of them at once. If there's

00:03:00 --> 00:03:03
			three people trying to say
something to me, I'm gonna get

00:03:03 --> 00:03:06
			lost. But Allah subhanaw taala, he
hears

00:03:08 --> 00:03:12
			everything at this point that's
being said.

00:03:13 --> 00:03:17
			And if you were to take it
further, from eternity, he can

00:03:17 --> 00:03:22
			hear everything that has ever been
said. And that will ever be said,

00:03:22 --> 00:03:26
			including what's being said now,
at once. It's just this motor is

00:03:26 --> 00:03:29
			just we can't even understand we
can't even comprehend that. That's

00:03:29 --> 00:03:33
			Allah subhanaw. Taala has infinite
self. So Allah knows what we're

00:03:33 --> 00:03:37
			going to do with our free will,
we're going to end up either

00:03:37 --> 00:03:42
			receiving is Rama, or either not
receiving Rama, may Allah not make

00:03:42 --> 00:03:47
			us of those based on our choices,
everybody makes their own choices,

00:03:47 --> 00:03:51
			and thus, they're rewarded, and
they could be punished, and so on.

00:03:51 --> 00:03:56
			So it relates to that aspect. Now,
the idea here in general is saying

00:03:56 --> 00:04:01
			that if people were to know that,
I'm just giving you a brief

00:04:01 --> 00:04:03
			example, I'm just going to give
you a brief summary of this if

00:04:03 --> 00:04:06
			people to were to know that they
are of this group,

00:04:07 --> 00:04:10
			the ones who are going to receive
the bounty of Allah subhanaw

00:04:10 --> 00:04:13
			taala, then they could become
complacent, or I'm gonna get there

00:04:13 --> 00:04:16
			anyway. It makes no difference.

00:04:17 --> 00:04:20
			For example, there's a statement
which say is that Allah loved

00:04:20 --> 00:04:24
			aroma Radi Allahu Anhu even when
he had not yet become a Muslim,

00:04:25 --> 00:04:29
			because Allah knew his ending,
that eventually he will become a

00:04:29 --> 00:04:32
			Muslim with his choice, and that's
what he's going to be. So Allah

00:04:32 --> 00:04:36
			subhanaw taala had love from him
from from eternity, that way Allah

00:04:36 --> 00:04:40
			subhanaw taala deals with thing
because time applies to us, but

00:04:40 --> 00:04:44
			not to Allah subhanaw taala so had
we known about what's going to

00:04:44 --> 00:04:48
			happen and that we are going to be
the fortunate ones. We're going to

00:04:48 --> 00:04:52
			be under the Mercy of Allah. Then
we'd say well, there's not really

00:04:52 --> 00:04:56
			much sometimes we'd get lazy and
just say we don't we're gonna go

00:04:56 --> 00:04:58
			there anyway, we've got a ticket
anyway, why do you have to bother

00:04:58 --> 00:05:00
			about it? We

00:05:00 --> 00:05:03
			Got a ticket anyway, we know he's
going to pass us anyway. That kind

00:05:03 --> 00:05:06
			of a thing you know, when you know
that somebody's going to, don't

00:05:06 --> 00:05:09
			worry, I'll do something for you
so you don't make enough of an

00:05:09 --> 00:05:09
			effort.

00:05:11 --> 00:05:13
			So that will lead to complacency.

00:05:14 --> 00:05:17
			So then what should we do? Should
we just keep focusing on deeds

00:05:17 --> 00:05:22
			deeds deeds, said No, that's wrong
as well. You shouldn't just focus

00:05:22 --> 00:05:25
			on doing deeds. That's not good
enough, either. That's a bit

00:05:25 --> 00:05:29
			strange. Why should we focus on
deeds? Isn't that what we've been

00:05:29 --> 00:05:32
			told that you must focus on deeds,
that you should focus on doing as

00:05:32 --> 00:05:36
			many good deeds as possible,
because good deeds, they bring

00:05:36 --> 00:05:41
			reward with them, they, they, they
they essentially have reward that

00:05:41 --> 00:05:45
			comes with them, and they please
Allah subhanaw taala now that's

00:05:45 --> 00:05:48
			not good enough, don't focus just
on the deeds, do the deeds, for

00:05:48 --> 00:05:52
			sure, do the deeds, but also focus
on the mercy of Allah subhanaw

00:05:52 --> 00:05:52
			taala

00:05:54 --> 00:05:56
			the deeds are just a sign that
Allah subhanaw taala

00:05:58 --> 00:06:00
			That's the sign that Allah
subhanaw taala has good things in

00:06:00 --> 00:06:04
			store, that if we are doing good,
and we're interested in good and

00:06:04 --> 00:06:08
			we are inclined towards the good,
and we're willing to spend time

00:06:08 --> 00:06:12
			for the good, then that's just a
sign that we are, it looks like

00:06:12 --> 00:06:15
			we're going in that right
direction, but deeds on their own,

00:06:15 --> 00:06:18
			don't do anything. It's Allah
subhanaw taala has mercy and His

00:06:18 --> 00:06:22
			choice and his benevolence and his
gift that takes a person into

00:06:22 --> 00:06:23
			paradise.

00:06:25 --> 00:06:28
			Now, of course, if Allah subhanaw
taala didn't have a grace on

00:06:28 --> 00:06:31
			anyone, they would not do the
deeds. So what do you mean them?

00:06:32 --> 00:06:35
			Well, when we do the deeds, we do
it for the sake of Allah. But we

00:06:35 --> 00:06:39
			always hope that is Allah who is
going to forgive us we had wisdom,

00:06:39 --> 00:06:44
			one of the previous wisdoms that
it is he who is constantly veiling

00:06:44 --> 00:06:51
			us from the defects. And He's
forgiving so much more than had he

00:06:51 --> 00:06:56
			wanted to deal with us with
justice for every little mistake,

00:06:56 --> 00:06:59
			then we will not survive. Our
prayers are deficient, because we

00:06:59 --> 00:07:03
			don't, I mean, it's difficult to
remember Allah subhanaw taala

00:07:03 --> 00:07:06
			throughout the prayer in every
second of that prayer.

00:07:07 --> 00:07:12
			So this is now the way it is
explained in more detail briefly.

00:07:12 --> 00:07:16
			That's essentially what he says.
This is how he, this is how it has

00:07:16 --> 00:07:20
			been explained. So when Allah
subhanho wa Taala has mentioned,

00:07:21 --> 00:07:22
			both in the Quran

00:07:23 --> 00:07:30
			and through the messages, that the
basis for success

00:07:31 --> 00:07:31
			is

00:07:33 --> 00:07:36
			the basis for success and
everything. And that Allah

00:07:36 --> 00:07:42
			subhanaw taala knows what we're
going to end up doing and end up

00:07:42 --> 00:07:44
			reaching which state we're going
to end up reaching. So Allah

00:07:44 --> 00:07:49
			subhanaw taala has had that he's
has all of this written. So

00:07:49 --> 00:07:52
			essentially, everything that we
do, goes in accordance to what is

00:07:52 --> 00:07:55
			written, and what Allah has
written. He's written it in a

00:07:55 --> 00:07:58
			descriptive fashion because he
knows what we're going to do. So

00:07:58 --> 00:08:02
			he wrote, Musa is going to do X, Y
and Zed things. And Zubair is

00:08:02 --> 00:08:05
			going to be doing this and Helios
is going to be doing this with his

00:08:05 --> 00:08:09
			freewill. So what we do now goes
in accordance to what he wrote

00:08:09 --> 00:08:13
			because he knew what we were going
to do. He's not prescribing upon

00:08:13 --> 00:08:17
			us. It's not prescriptive, it's
actually descriptive. Right? So

00:08:17 --> 00:08:19
			now, whoever,

00:08:20 --> 00:08:24
			whoever has been written to be of
the fortunate ones,

00:08:25 --> 00:08:29
			Furman sever, Kotla, who Inaya
whoever Allah subhanaw taala has

00:08:29 --> 00:08:32
			special grace will be upon because
he's going to do good deeds

00:08:32 --> 00:08:33
			eventually, right?

00:08:35 --> 00:08:39
			He may start, he may end up doing
some sins.

00:08:41 --> 00:08:43
			Those sins are then not harmful.

00:08:44 --> 00:08:48
			Don't get this wrong, it doesn't
mean that he can do sins because

00:08:48 --> 00:08:52
			he doesn't know that he's going to
be one of the lucky ones. So how

00:08:52 --> 00:08:55
			can you do sins and say, I'm one
of the lucky ones. It's okay, I

00:08:55 --> 00:08:59
			can do this since just saying this
is actually giving hope to those

00:08:59 --> 00:09:04
			people who have sinned, but want
to turn their life around and want

00:09:04 --> 00:09:09
			to be of those who will receive
the special bounties of Allah and

00:09:09 --> 00:09:11
			the grace and go to paradise.

00:09:13 --> 00:09:16
			Right now, none of us know that.
We can only hope for it, and

00:09:16 --> 00:09:17
			there's enough room there.

00:09:19 --> 00:09:22
			There's enough room in paradise,
there's enough room under the

00:09:22 --> 00:09:25
			Grace of Allah. So there is
nothing stopping anyone except

00:09:25 --> 00:09:30
			one's own self, except one's own
limitation for whatever reason. So

00:09:30 --> 00:09:34
			this is to say that if you have
done wrong, that wrong will not

00:09:34 --> 00:09:37
			harm you, because then you would
make Toba, you would repent, and

00:09:37 --> 00:09:39
			then you'd be of the good people.

00:09:40 --> 00:09:44
			So it's in the long run. It's the
discussion is there. Allah

00:09:44 --> 00:09:48
			subhanaw taala makes it very clear
that this is not for everyone. You

00:09:48 --> 00:09:50
			mentioned many verses in the
Quran, Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:09:50 --> 00:09:54
			says that if Allah willed, He
could have made everybody on the

00:09:54 --> 00:09:59
			same thought, same ideology, same
belief, worshipping Allah subhanaw

00:09:59 --> 00:09:59
			taala

00:10:00 --> 00:10:02
			That could have been a different
design of this world though.

00:10:03 --> 00:10:05
			That's where you have to
understand why didn't Allah do

00:10:05 --> 00:10:08
			that? There's people who ask, Why
didn't Allah just let everybody

00:10:08 --> 00:10:11
			stay in paradise? I mean, why
don't we just go back there?

00:10:12 --> 00:10:15
			You know, if you want to ask these
questions, why is there this in

00:10:15 --> 00:10:17
			this world? Why is it that in this
world, why don't we just say, Why

00:10:17 --> 00:10:20
			didn't Allah subhanho wa Taala
Liva? The mighty salmon, how are

00:10:20 --> 00:10:23
			you? I'm in paradise. Now we could
have been there by now. That's

00:10:23 --> 00:10:26
			where we would have been. In fact,
that's where we would have been.

00:10:27 --> 00:10:30
			That's not what he wanted to do.
He decided to do it differently.

00:10:30 --> 00:10:32
			For whatever reason, I'm not going
to go on questioning why he did

00:10:32 --> 00:10:35
			that, because this is our reality.
Now, how can you change that?

00:10:37 --> 00:10:41
			So Allah subhanho wa Taala has
mentioned that look, some of you

00:10:41 --> 00:10:45
			are going to be successful. If you
make your effort and some of you

00:10:45 --> 00:10:49
			are going to fail, if you don't
make an effort, some people, Allah

00:10:49 --> 00:10:53
			subhanaw taala chooses them for
that because Allah says in surah

00:10:53 --> 00:10:57
			Ali Imran verse 74, Yata subarea
Rahmatullahi Mejia SHA, Allah

00:10:58 --> 00:11:02
			particularize. This particularly
singles out some people for His

00:11:02 --> 00:11:06
			mercy. So now people know that
there's going to be some people

00:11:06 --> 00:11:09
			who there's a special club, whom
Allah subhanaw taala is going to

00:11:09 --> 00:11:13
			give a special gifts to special
bounties to I want to be part of

00:11:13 --> 00:11:17
			that. Well, if you want to be part
of that, then you have to do X, Y

00:11:17 --> 00:11:20
			and Zed and you have to avoid X, Y
and Zed.

00:11:22 --> 00:11:26
			All of it is clear, isn't it? Now
if Allah subhanaw taala had told

00:11:26 --> 00:11:32
			us of it, they would and we would
know for some reason that oh, we

00:11:32 --> 00:11:37
			are going to be in that special in
that special area. And among that

00:11:37 --> 00:11:42
			special group, that is possible
that we may just not do any deeds.

00:11:42 --> 00:11:46
			Do you think the prophets Allah
loves them, he was the most

00:11:46 --> 00:11:47
			special of people.

00:11:48 --> 00:11:53
			And he was actually told clearly,
healthier Allah Kamata, cardamom

00:11:53 --> 00:11:59
			in the MC palmata. For you,
everything has been forgiven. Like

00:11:59 --> 00:12:04
			even if you did commit a sin, it's
forgiven. Even if you did commit a

00:12:04 --> 00:12:07
			sin and were to commit a sin, it
would be forgiven of the Prophet

00:12:07 --> 00:12:12
			Solomon was told that, but did his
state change. His state didn't

00:12:12 --> 00:12:16
			change. In fact, he even tried
more to be thankful. That's what

00:12:16 --> 00:12:22
			you call a grateful servant. You
have some people who when you give

00:12:22 --> 00:12:28
			them what they're looking for,
then they basically just enjoy

00:12:28 --> 00:12:31
			that thing, and they forget about
you. Whereas there's others who

00:12:31 --> 00:12:34
			are so thankful that actually you
can tell that they're thankful.

00:12:34 --> 00:12:37
			And that's the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam to stand for

00:12:37 --> 00:12:40
			those long periods of nightmare,
Allah give us some kind of Tofik

00:12:40 --> 00:12:43
			to do something similar to that.
So that's the Prophet sallallahu

00:12:43 --> 00:12:49
			alayhi wa sallam, he never just
relied on the fact that he was to

00:12:49 --> 00:12:53
			be forgiven, and that he was going
to be successful. But he actually

00:12:53 --> 00:12:56
			then made himself out to be
properly the slave of Allah,

00:12:56 --> 00:12:59
			because he knows that that's why
he's getting it. He is the

00:12:59 --> 00:13:02
			greatest slave of Allah, that's
where he's going to have the

00:13:02 --> 00:13:06
			greatest reward. And that's why
he's been also actually told and

00:13:06 --> 00:13:10
			informed and given a guarantee and
security. None of us are given

00:13:10 --> 00:13:15
			that that security I mean, imagine
if any of us are told that for you

00:13:15 --> 00:13:18
			is all forgiveness. You are
forgiven anyway.

00:13:20 --> 00:13:24
			I mean, the shaytaan comes in tell
some people that so Abdul Qadir

00:13:24 --> 00:13:29
			jeelani Rahim Allah, once he saw a
light, it says, He saw a vision.

00:13:30 --> 00:13:35
			And it said, Your Abdulkadir I am
your Lord. And I am saying that I

00:13:35 --> 00:13:38
			have absorbed all the prayers of
you. You don't have to pray

00:13:38 --> 00:13:39
			anymore.

00:13:41 --> 00:13:43
			Now imagine if you heard that.
Imagine if we heard that.

00:13:46 --> 00:13:51
			Like, okay, that's not bad. Must
be special. What's going on? Now?

00:13:51 --> 00:13:55
			He's an alum. And you know that
this doesn't happen.

00:13:56 --> 00:14:00
			There is no I mean, only women get
praise absolved of them during

00:14:00 --> 00:14:05
			their monthly cycles. Men do not
get that. It's only if you for 24

00:14:05 --> 00:14:08
			hours or over. If you're in a coma
or something, then your prayers

00:14:08 --> 00:14:12
			are forgiven. Otherwise, men do
not get that. It's only women who

00:14:12 --> 00:14:18
			get that. Right. But not forever.
Obviously. He said, You're a liar.

00:14:19 --> 00:14:22
			You are shaytaan he immediately
figured out how can that happen?

00:14:22 --> 00:14:24
			It hasn't happened to anybody
else. Why would it happen to

00:14:24 --> 00:14:26
			before he wasn't deluded?

00:14:27 --> 00:14:31
			So then the shaytaan turns around
and says, or whatever this thing

00:14:31 --> 00:14:35
			was, it says, you have been saved
by your knowledge.

00:14:36 --> 00:14:38
			Now that was a second

00:14:39 --> 00:14:39
			return.

00:14:41 --> 00:14:44
			You've been saved by your
knowledge that sounds good. He is

00:14:44 --> 00:14:49
			saved by his knowledge. But no,
his thought is higher than that.

00:14:49 --> 00:14:51
			Says No, Allah save me not my
knowledge.

00:14:53 --> 00:14:55
			It's Allah who saved me because at
the end of the day, that knowledge

00:14:55 --> 00:14:59
			is from Allah. And to make that
knowledge work. Allah can only

00:14:59 --> 00:14:59
			make

00:15:00 --> 00:15:02
			At work, you may have knowledge
but you may forget it at that

00:15:02 --> 00:15:05
			point you justify something so
many times it's people with

00:15:05 --> 00:15:10
			knowledge who justify a deed,
justify wrong deed even though

00:15:10 --> 00:15:13
			they've got Oh, it's because of
this I'm justified to do it

00:15:13 --> 00:15:13
			because I'm in this

00:15:15 --> 00:15:19
			specific situation or there's a
justification for it. No, Allah

00:15:19 --> 00:15:22
			subhanaw taala saved me and then
that thing fizzled out and

00:15:22 --> 00:15:26
			whatever it was, that that is why
Allah subhanaw taala says in

00:15:26 --> 00:15:30
			Naramata Allah He Kariba
Middlemore sinning Allah's Mercy

00:15:30 --> 00:15:33
			is always close to the doers of
good.

00:15:34 --> 00:15:37
			Allah's Mercy is always close to
to do so good. Now let's move on.

00:15:39 --> 00:15:43
			The mercy that is discussed here,
some Allah ma say that what this

00:15:43 --> 00:15:48
			refers to this mercy is the fact
that Allah subhanaw taala knows

00:15:48 --> 00:15:52
			these people to be the successful
ones, the fortunate ones, that

00:15:52 --> 00:15:55
			eventually they're gonna go to
Paradise because of the good deeds

00:15:55 --> 00:15:59
			that will overcome the good deeds
that will dominate their life.

00:15:59 --> 00:16:02
			Mashallah, some people are good
deeds have dominated their life

00:16:02 --> 00:16:06
			throughout, right? Like, there's
some scholars and he said that

00:16:06 --> 00:16:09
			I've never committed a sin. Like
some scholars can actually even

00:16:09 --> 00:16:14
			say that it was such a protected,
they were in such a protected

00:16:14 --> 00:16:16
			environment, they were very
particular, they were brought up

00:16:16 --> 00:16:19
			in that way that they could
actually say that I've never

00:16:19 --> 00:16:23
			committed a sin. That is so
difficult. That is so difficult

00:16:23 --> 00:16:28
			for us to say, right today, right?
Allahu Akbar. So this mercy

00:16:28 --> 00:16:32
			according to some Allah, ma say,
the mercy which is always close to

00:16:32 --> 00:16:37
			those people who are the doers of
good, this is referring to the

00:16:37 --> 00:16:40
			mercy that Allah subhanaw taala
knows they're going to be good.

00:16:40 --> 00:16:45
			And thus, he has already
designated Paradise, and Rama and

00:16:45 --> 00:16:48
			gifts and bounties and everything
for him.

00:16:50 --> 00:16:54
			So these people, they continue to
do good deeds, they don't get

00:16:54 --> 00:16:57
			deluded, they try their best, like
the Prophet sallallahu Sallam is

00:16:57 --> 00:17:02
			the biggest example. So really
strange idea, that this mercy,

00:17:02 --> 00:17:08
			which is that Allah has written
that person to be among the doers

00:17:08 --> 00:17:11
			of good in the here, you know, and
the successful ones in the

00:17:11 --> 00:17:15
			Hereafter, the Mercy means that
this person will continue to do

00:17:15 --> 00:17:16
			good deeds.

00:17:17 --> 00:17:20
			He won't slack in the good deeds,
that's the mercy.

00:17:21 --> 00:17:24
			So if Allah subhanaw taala knows
that we're going to be doing that

00:17:24 --> 00:17:28
			Allah gives us that special mercy
as well. Essentially, what that

00:17:28 --> 00:17:33
			means to me is that if I make an
effort in the right direction,

00:17:33 --> 00:17:35
			Allah is going to assist me with
his mercy.

00:17:37 --> 00:17:41
			That's the good part. You know,
the difference between a manual

00:17:41 --> 00:17:45
			bike the normal bike that we've
had for decades, and the new

00:17:46 --> 00:17:49
			electric bikes is that even in the
electric ones, you have to pedal,

00:17:50 --> 00:17:54
			right a bit. The other ones, you
pedal a lot, and the only pedal

00:17:54 --> 00:17:56
			and there's nothing else that
happens. But in the electric

00:17:56 --> 00:17:59
			bikes, if you've ridden them, you
pedal a bit, and then it just

00:17:59 --> 00:18:02
			starts going by itself. And I
think that's the same thing here.

00:18:02 --> 00:18:06
			Allah wants us to do that initial,
He's given us an electric bike,

00:18:06 --> 00:18:10
			you guys tried an electric bike,
you may not even have an idea.

00:18:10 --> 00:18:13
			Right? Essentially, in the other
one, you have to like, try hard

00:18:13 --> 00:18:16
			and change the gears and but in
electric bike, you just have to

00:18:16 --> 00:18:19
			pedal a bit and then it takes
over. And you pay a pedal a bit,

00:18:19 --> 00:18:22
			and then it takes over and it just
does most of the job. I think it's

00:18:22 --> 00:18:27
			about 20% Yours, your efforts and
about 80% the battery in there as

00:18:27 --> 00:18:30
			long as the battery is charged.
That's what he's saying. It's a

00:18:30 --> 00:18:35
			similar idea, right? If we try
there's going to be an initial

00:18:35 --> 00:18:38
			struggle, but once you're on the
road, then Allah will assist.

00:18:38 --> 00:18:41
			That's why the Hadith says very
clearly if you come to Allah

00:18:41 --> 00:18:45
			walking Allah comes to you running
he just wants an excuse to give he

00:18:45 --> 00:18:47
			wants an excuse to give.

00:18:48 --> 00:18:51
			Now we can't expect not to do
anything and then the bounties

00:18:51 --> 00:18:54
			just showered upon us and we just
become, you know, people who

00:18:54 --> 00:18:56
			performed the hedge every day
there's an effort to make, there's

00:18:56 --> 00:19:00
			a mindset that has to be changed.
May Allah subhanaw taala make that

00:19:00 --> 00:19:04
			easy for us. Anybody who thinks
that they are written is good and

00:19:04 --> 00:19:07
			Subhanallah there are deluded
there are absolutely deluded

00:19:07 --> 00:19:08
			people out there who think they're
going to paradise.

00:19:10 --> 00:19:14
			They said they've seen signs,
they've seen a dream. They've seen

00:19:14 --> 00:19:18
			some some crazy things once this
woman called me and she she was

00:19:18 --> 00:19:22
			married to this guy who she said
is like a woody of Allah said,

00:19:22 --> 00:19:26
			Okay, what's the problem? Then? I
said, Well, the issue is that, you

00:19:26 --> 00:19:30
			know, we got into drugs. We got
into a lot of other stuff, but

00:19:30 --> 00:19:31
			he's still only of Allah.

00:19:32 --> 00:19:36
			And he apparently it was a bit of
a crazy story The family had

00:19:36 --> 00:19:39
			contacted me to say that our
sister has been overcome by this

00:19:39 --> 00:19:43
			guy, and she's completely deluded
and so on and the delusion there

00:19:43 --> 00:19:45
			was that she thought he's a big
worry of Allah yet they're doing

00:19:45 --> 00:19:48
			drugs and all sorts of stuff. Like
not just drugs, a lot of other

00:19:48 --> 00:19:52
			stuff. I don't even mention it.
But she's a no he's so pious. He's

00:19:52 --> 00:19:56
			he sees this he sees that just
absolute fascination and obsession

00:19:56 --> 00:19:59
			with something even though the
apparent state is

00:20:00 --> 00:20:04
			Sending you something else? I hope
I got through to him like this

00:20:04 --> 00:20:07
			cannot be a Willie of Allah. Yes
What do you have Allah's can make

00:20:07 --> 00:20:11
			mistakes, but they don't make
mistakes for too long. They fall

00:20:11 --> 00:20:15
			and they get up, people fall, but
we get up you make a mistake. You

00:20:15 --> 00:20:19
			do Toba and you carry on, when you
stay down for a very long time,

00:20:20 --> 00:20:24
			then that we lie it doesn't sound
like we lie. To me. That doesn't

00:20:24 --> 00:20:26
			sound like friendship with Allah
subhanaw taala.

00:20:28 --> 00:20:31
			That doesn't sound like friendship
with Allah subhanaw taala. So

00:20:31 --> 00:20:36
			that's why you cannot think that
I'm sorted and leave action that

00:20:36 --> 00:20:40
			is absolute deception. That
doesn't work for anyone. On the

00:20:40 --> 00:20:46
			other hand, the person who just
focuses on action without asking

00:20:46 --> 00:20:49
			Allah subhanaw taala assistance
without hoping in Allah's mercy,

00:20:50 --> 00:20:51
			that person is also

00:20:53 --> 00:20:58
			ignorant of Allah. That person is
ignorant of Allah. He doesn't

00:20:58 --> 00:21:01
			understand that that is not the
way Allah wants it. He doesn't

00:21:01 --> 00:21:05
			Allah doesn't want us to just
focus on action. Allah wants to

00:21:05 --> 00:21:11
			feel our attention to him, because
that's really why we do the deeds

00:21:11 --> 00:21:15
			of Kimi Salah telepathically
established prayer for my

00:21:15 --> 00:21:19
			remembrance, not for anything else
not to show us proof that I've

00:21:19 --> 00:21:23
			done all I've done all of these
prayers. Why can't you let me go

00:21:23 --> 00:21:26
			to paradise? The prayer was
supposed to be for me that prayer

00:21:26 --> 00:21:29
			was supposed to get you closer to
Allah.

00:21:30 --> 00:21:34
			And the beauty of this book is
that that's what it does. Each of

00:21:34 --> 00:21:37
			these aphorisms, they help us to
understand Allah subhanaw taala

00:21:37 --> 00:21:42
			better, they give us these little
openings and these little secrets

00:21:42 --> 00:21:44
			as to how Allah subhanaw taala
relates to us.

00:21:46 --> 00:21:50
			So that's why constantly remember
Allah subhanaw taala Allah

00:21:50 --> 00:21:53
			subhanho wa Taala wants us to
remember him when we have a

00:21:53 --> 00:21:54
			difficulty

00:21:55 --> 00:21:58
			that we're doing so but Allah
subhanaw taala knows he's taking

00:21:58 --> 00:22:00
			care of me. And when we have
prosperity

00:22:01 --> 00:22:05
			at home, when good things happen,
you've got some new fruits, you've

00:22:05 --> 00:22:11
			got some good foods, you've just
enjoyed a meal. Write some other

00:22:11 --> 00:22:14
			success. Tell the children as
well, where did this come from?

00:22:14 --> 00:22:16
			Have you thanked Allah subhanaw
taala

00:22:17 --> 00:22:19
			it's only when children start
feeding these things in their

00:22:19 --> 00:22:24
			life, that Allah will become part
of their life.

00:22:25 --> 00:22:29
			I give you an example. There's a
family where pretty much everybody

00:22:29 --> 00:22:33
			has glasses. So the mother told
the daughter because the mother

00:22:33 --> 00:22:36
			has glasses. The father has
glasses, the older son has

00:22:36 --> 00:22:40
			glasses, told the daughter that
just be become 1213 years old and

00:22:40 --> 00:22:41
			you're gonna have glasses. Well,
that's what the mother said.

00:22:43 --> 00:22:48
			Right? Thinking just the norm.
This daughter started to make dua.

00:22:50 --> 00:22:56
			Nobody knew that is she standing
this later. So she makes she's now

00:22:56 --> 00:22:59
			the only one in that family who
does not have glasses. her two

00:22:59 --> 00:23:03
			younger brothers after that have
glasses as well, or need glasses.

00:23:03 --> 00:23:05
			She's the only one who doesn't
mean the whole family. And she

00:23:05 --> 00:23:10
			said because when mum said this to
me, when my mum said this to me, I

00:23:10 --> 00:23:11
			started making dua.

00:23:12 --> 00:23:13
			Now,

00:23:14 --> 00:23:17
			that is the presence of Allah in
your mind. That's the Presence of

00:23:17 --> 00:23:21
			Allah in your life that worked for
you, Allah worked for you. I just

00:23:21 --> 00:23:30
			had a discussion with this 1718
year old girl who has issues

00:23:31 --> 00:23:34
			brought up in a Muslim family but
has issues. Question is, why do

00:23:34 --> 00:23:40
			you believe? Like, because I felt
Allah so many times. I feel Allah,

00:23:40 --> 00:23:43
			why should I go anywhere else? Why
should I go and check out another

00:23:43 --> 00:23:47
			religion? Because I'm getting
everything that I want. So almost

00:23:47 --> 00:23:50
			like they should be an inquiry you
should check. Why should you

00:23:50 --> 00:23:54
			check? Why put yourself up to
confusion? You're happy with what

00:23:54 --> 00:23:56
			you have. It's working for you.

00:23:58 --> 00:24:02
			Somebody called me from California
once said that. My father, he's

00:24:02 --> 00:24:06
			had to be in he had some issue. He
had to be in prison. Now he's out.

00:24:06 --> 00:24:07
			But he can't get a job because

00:24:08 --> 00:24:13
			it's, you know, his because of his
conviction. He's finding it tough

00:24:13 --> 00:24:16
			to get a job. In fact, what
happens is that he sometimes goes

00:24:16 --> 00:24:18
			for interview. And

00:24:20 --> 00:24:23
			so on the phone, it's fine. When
they have a phone interview, when

00:24:23 --> 00:24:27
			he goes in, then he loses the job
because he also has a big beard.

00:24:28 --> 00:24:33
			Right He also has a decent beard.
So now this poor daughter of his

00:24:33 --> 00:24:38
			the adults they're asking that can
can easily allow the asking the

00:24:38 --> 00:24:41
			question as we have that is he
allowed to trim his beard to a

00:24:41 --> 00:24:45
			short. So I don't know I just said
no, you can't. Right You shouldn't

00:24:45 --> 00:24:51
			do that. That's not that's really
against the understanding of the

00:24:51 --> 00:24:57
			jurist of how a beard should be.
And I said, do this. I gave him

00:24:57 --> 00:24:59
			something to read this many times.

00:25:01 --> 00:25:07
			and left it to Allah, I get an
email from her about. I didn't

00:25:07 --> 00:25:12
			expect this from you know, people
call you a few weeks later, just

00:25:12 --> 00:25:14
			wanted to mention to you that

00:25:16 --> 00:25:19
			that's what my father did, we
started reading that, and he got a

00:25:19 --> 00:25:24
			job and a very good job. Very soon
afterwards, then we had a relative

00:25:24 --> 00:25:27
			who had immigration issues, we
gave them that thing, they pass

00:25:27 --> 00:25:31
			that that formula on to them. And
he said, The immigration thing was

00:25:31 --> 00:25:35
			just sorted. Cycle hamdulillah
that's nicer, these people are

00:25:35 --> 00:25:37
			going to be very strong in their
faith.

00:25:39 --> 00:25:44
			Because they've used these things
to for it is worked for them. That

00:25:44 --> 00:25:46
			doesn't mean that you know,
because sometimes Allah may not

00:25:46 --> 00:25:51
			give you, right, but Allah will
give you when you try, Allah gives

00:25:51 --> 00:25:54
			you if you do the right things,
and everything comes in motion,

00:25:54 --> 00:25:57
			that experience is the best
experience with Allah subhanaw

00:25:57 --> 00:25:58
			taala.

00:26:00 --> 00:26:05
			But Allah, you have to show the
effort, right? He, he carried on

00:26:05 --> 00:26:09
			and he persevered. He persevered.
And he carried on. And there's so

00:26:09 --> 00:26:11
			many stories like this, I mean,
there's numerous stories like

00:26:11 --> 00:26:11
			this.

00:26:13 --> 00:26:17
			And another person just contacted
me said that they had a video of

00:26:17 --> 00:26:18
			that of their child.

00:26:20 --> 00:26:24
			They took a like a memorable video
and it was like the most beloved

00:26:24 --> 00:26:26
			video to them. It's like the most
liked video, like you know, when

00:26:26 --> 00:26:31
			you take a certain picture or
video or whatever you have, like,

00:26:31 --> 00:26:33
			wow, that's really good. That came
up very good, you know, you're

00:26:33 --> 00:26:37
			very emotionally attached to it,
basically lost it. So they

00:26:37 --> 00:26:39
			couldn't find it. It was just
gone.

00:26:40 --> 00:26:43
			And said suddenly, two years
later, I think it was two or four

00:26:43 --> 00:26:49
			years later, my sister she says,
sent me a WhatsApp message. And he

00:26:49 --> 00:26:53
			said, I found this video in an
external hard drive or external

00:26:53 --> 00:26:58
			memory I had, you know, maybe
you'll remember this and she said

00:26:58 --> 00:27:02
			that was the exact same video. I
had not told anybody that I would.

00:27:02 --> 00:27:03
			I was really looking forward to
that.

00:27:05 --> 00:27:08
			And Allah subhanaw taala brought
it there for me.

00:27:09 --> 00:27:13
			Allah subhanho wa Taala works in
some amazing ways, always behind

00:27:13 --> 00:27:18
			the veil, though, nothing will pop
up. Right just out of nothing. It

00:27:18 --> 00:27:21
			always happen. But that's the
Presence of Allah subhanho wa

00:27:21 --> 00:27:21
			taala.

00:27:22 --> 00:27:26
			And we really, really need to
bring this home, we really need to

00:27:26 --> 00:27:29
			speak about Allah subhanaw taala
in the house, in everything,

00:27:30 --> 00:27:34
			attribute everything to him. Tell
the children to ask Allah subhanaw

00:27:34 --> 00:27:37
			taala that's the only way we're
going to make Allah a reality. And

00:27:37 --> 00:27:40
			that's the only way our children
in sha Allah will feel ALLAH

00:27:40 --> 00:27:45
			SubhanA wa Tada and grow up with
that idea with the love of Allah

00:27:45 --> 00:27:48
			subhanho wa Taala it is completely
wrong just to keep focusing on

00:27:48 --> 00:27:51
			action. Yes, we must do the action
while we're doing the action.

00:27:52 --> 00:27:55
			We're doing it for the sake of
Allah. Allah has to be part of the

00:27:55 --> 00:27:59
			action. actions cannot be without
Allah subhanaw taala there's no

00:27:59 --> 00:28:04
			they're empty, they're devoid.
It's the real spirit of an action

00:28:04 --> 00:28:10
			is the sincerity the focus on
Allah and the purpose for Allah

00:28:10 --> 00:28:14
			subhanaw taala that's why he says,
Well minister the ill Amel

00:28:15 --> 00:28:20
			doing nothing real Qudra tea will
machete Serbia kafir hija, hidden,

00:28:20 --> 00:28:24
			buried, and in hydrati Raffin.
Whoever relies upon his deeds,

00:28:25 --> 00:28:29
			without even focusing on the Quran
of Allah, or Allah is choice Allah

00:28:29 --> 00:28:33
			has previous decisions, Allah has
knowledge and so on. Then that

00:28:33 --> 00:28:36
			person is absolutely ignorant and
very far from the presence of

00:28:36 --> 00:28:38
			Allah and completely

00:28:41 --> 00:28:46
			clueless woman Gemma Sabina, Huma,
but the one who combines between

00:28:46 --> 00:28:50
			the two who does the deeds, his
gaze is on Allah. And he knows

00:28:50 --> 00:28:53
			that Allah knows everything and he
hopes for the best from Allah.

00:28:53 --> 00:28:59
			Then for her Mohawk pecan caramel,
that person is the one who has it

00:28:59 --> 00:29:03
			right? He's reached the perfection
May Allah give us that may Allah

00:29:03 --> 00:29:05
			give us that combination.

00:29:06 --> 00:29:10
			Some of the one of the scholars
said he said Lisa coolamon Palava

00:29:10 --> 00:29:15
			nada, not everybody who will seek
not everybody who seeks will

00:29:15 --> 00:29:20
			attain what are called Lumina,
Allah wa Salah and neither Some

00:29:20 --> 00:29:23
			may attain something, but they may
not reach the goal, they may

00:29:23 --> 00:29:28
			attain something but they may not
reach the goal. Some people may

00:29:28 --> 00:29:31
			reach the goal, and they may
comprehend the reality

00:29:32 --> 00:29:36
			and eventually they will become
fortunate, but not everybody that

00:29:36 --> 00:29:39
			happens to it's an effort that we
make to get to Allah subhanaw

00:29:39 --> 00:29:39
			taala

00:29:40 --> 00:29:45
			That's why they say, Come minhwa
hidden hoody mominul Mina be Mina,

00:29:46 --> 00:29:50
			how many the who spend so much
money and get to Mina

00:29:51 --> 00:29:56
			or Arafa for that matter, and then
they lose Arafa Amina. They don't

00:29:56 --> 00:29:58
			get the benefit of it because they

00:30:00 --> 00:30:03
			They get involved in a fight with
somebody, they get involved with

00:30:03 --> 00:30:07
			something else, they just not
focused, yet they've got to Minar.

00:30:08 --> 00:30:11
			What it says is that we must make
that efforts, and there's a

00:30:11 --> 00:30:16
			certain threshold you get to. And
then it just becomes easier after

00:30:16 --> 00:30:20
			that. It just facilitates and just
gets easier. I don't know if

00:30:20 --> 00:30:23
			you've had this experience with
anything else as well, where it

00:30:23 --> 00:30:27
			was just so difficult, some
worldly difficulty, right, it was

00:30:27 --> 00:30:30
			just so difficult to do this. And
then suddenly, everything just

00:30:30 --> 00:30:31
			becomes easier the next day.

00:30:32 --> 00:30:37
			I've had these cases where there's
a project I've got, whether that's

00:30:37 --> 00:30:41
			to do with publishing or something
else, and it's just difficult. You

00:30:41 --> 00:30:44
			don't even feel like doing it. You
know, sometimes, this is a

00:30:44 --> 00:30:48
			procrastination thing that people,
they've got two tasks, one is

00:30:48 --> 00:30:50
			difficult one, one is easy, and
they keep doing the easy ones.

00:30:51 --> 00:30:52
			They keep putting off the
difficult tasks.

00:30:53 --> 00:30:56
			Now, one thing that I would
suggest to people is that if

00:30:56 --> 00:30:59
			you've got a difficult task, make
dua to Allah subhanaw taala. To

00:30:59 --> 00:31:02
			make it easy, you'd be surprised.
Sometimes I'm banging my head

00:31:02 --> 00:31:05
			about something and I just can't
figure it out. It's a really

00:31:05 --> 00:31:09
			complicated issue. You go for
salad, like the last time you go

00:31:09 --> 00:31:11
			for salad, you make $1 make that
easy. You come back and

00:31:11 --> 00:31:15
			Subhanallah it's so easy. Like,
how did that resolve that? So

00:31:15 --> 00:31:19
			almost like, there's a knot that's
just been untied and it becomes

00:31:19 --> 00:31:19
			easy.

00:31:22 --> 00:31:26
			Try it, do it experiences.

00:31:27 --> 00:31:30
			And it's amazing. May Allah
subhanaw taala. Let's see what

00:31:30 --> 00:31:35
			Sheikh Abdullah can go. He says
about this, see if it's, I mean,

00:31:35 --> 00:31:38
			does this make sense? Now I'm
going to read it again. He knew

00:31:38 --> 00:31:42
			that servants would anticipate the
emergence of the mystery of

00:31:42 --> 00:31:46
			providence in themselves. So he
said he chooses whom He pleases

00:31:46 --> 00:31:51
			for His mercy. They were told that
some people are going to be the

00:31:51 --> 00:31:57
			lucky ones. Right? So he chooses
who he pleases for His mercy for

00:31:57 --> 00:32:02
			those lucky ones. And he knew that
had he left them at that, if he

00:32:02 --> 00:32:06
			had told them about that, and left
them at that, then they would have

00:32:06 --> 00:32:11
			abandoned all efforts by relying
on the eternal decree. I'm sorted

00:32:11 --> 00:32:15
			anyway, I've got a I've got a
place I've got a seat. So he said,

00:32:15 --> 00:32:19
			Surely the Mercy of Allah is close
to the doers of good, which means

00:32:19 --> 00:32:22
			that as we continue to try that
mercy will continue to be with us.

00:32:22 --> 00:32:25
			And the good deeds that we will do
with a focus on Allah subhanaw

00:32:25 --> 00:32:28
			taala is part of the Mercy of
Allah subhanho wa taala. This is

00:32:28 --> 00:32:32
			what Sheikh Abdullah can go, he
says, The Mercy of Allah Most High

00:32:32 --> 00:32:37
			is of two kinds. The general mercy
and the special mercy is the

00:32:37 --> 00:32:41
			general mercy that everybody gets.
And there's a very special package

00:32:41 --> 00:32:44
			that some people get, right,
there's a general package

00:32:44 --> 00:32:48
			everybody can have. And there's
general mercy is for the entire

00:32:48 --> 00:32:51
			creation. That's a package anybody
can have right? By virtue of this

00:32:51 --> 00:32:55
			general mercy, He bestowed
existence on everyone and

00:32:55 --> 00:32:57
			everything. That's the mercy for
Allah to be have mercy been

00:32:57 --> 00:33:01
			merciful. He's allowed everybody
to be in this world, as well as

00:33:01 --> 00:33:03
			sustaining them until an appointed
time.

00:33:04 --> 00:33:09
			Even the deny and the disbeliever
they receive sustenance, food

00:33:09 --> 00:33:12
			drink. That's all from Allah
subhanaw taala as general mercy,

00:33:13 --> 00:33:16
			this mercy is not restricted to
any particular being but extends

00:33:16 --> 00:33:20
			to all things, animals, and
everything else in the world. This

00:33:20 --> 00:33:24
			Allah Most it tells us that His
mercy embraces all things. This is

00:33:24 --> 00:33:27
			the mercy of creation and
sustenance, this is the general

00:33:27 --> 00:33:32
			mercy. The special mercy then is
his proximity and grace. Is

00:33:32 --> 00:33:36
			closeness. Its basis is Divine
Will, why does he do that? Who

00:33:36 --> 00:33:39
			does he give it to? It's his will,
whoever he wants to give it to. He

00:33:39 --> 00:33:42
			bestows this special mercy on
whomever he wills without any

00:33:42 --> 00:33:44
			intermediate cause.

00:33:45 --> 00:33:48
			I believe that if you do good,
your children will benefit.

00:33:50 --> 00:33:54
			Right? That's an experience people
have had. If our grandparents have

00:33:54 --> 00:33:57
			done good, I mean, I think I am
what I am because of my

00:33:57 --> 00:34:01
			grandparents, my, my, my parents,
my grandparents and somebody up

00:34:01 --> 00:34:05
			there. I think I've got some draw
from someone. I'm sure you know,

00:34:05 --> 00:34:08
			there's a lot of people who feel
that way. If there's goodness it's

00:34:08 --> 00:34:11
			because of something like that. So
if there's not been if you can't

00:34:11 --> 00:34:14
			find any goodness in your family
will be a creator of the goodness

00:34:14 --> 00:34:18
			for the next generations. Can we
not do that?

00:34:19 --> 00:34:22
			I don't have any goodness in my
family. My was this and my

00:34:22 --> 00:34:26
			grandfather, maybe somebody's
gonna say well change the story.

00:34:27 --> 00:34:31
			Turn it around. Be the good one
for your generations because you

00:34:31 --> 00:34:34
			have responsibility. Everybody
that your children and

00:34:34 --> 00:34:37
			grandchildren are going to come
from you you are going to be their

00:34:37 --> 00:34:41
			grandpa grandparents. So you can
change it. Don't let it carry on

00:34:41 --> 00:34:42
			like that if you feel bad about
it.

00:34:45 --> 00:34:46
			So he says that

00:34:48 --> 00:34:51
			He bestows this special mercy on
whomever he was without any

00:34:51 --> 00:34:54
			intermediate cause by directing
special mercy to a person He

00:34:54 --> 00:34:59
			bestows His proximity to his
closest to him. The shakier refers

00:35:00 --> 00:35:04
			to this special mercy in his in
Allah's eternal knowledge, Allah

00:35:04 --> 00:35:07
			Maha say was aware that people
would be desirous of this special

00:35:07 --> 00:35:10
			mercy. They desire that the
mysteries and secrets of this

00:35:10 --> 00:35:14
			special mercy be revealed to them.
He is explaining it a bit

00:35:14 --> 00:35:19
			differently Subhanallah so that
they can I attain his proximity,

00:35:19 --> 00:35:23
			they want to know that I am one of
the special. Well, I am one of

00:35:23 --> 00:35:28
			those who have who are who Allah
has a special attention for I,

00:35:28 --> 00:35:31
			they want to know this, they want
to know that I am one of those who

00:35:31 --> 00:35:36
			Allah subhanho wa Taala has
special grace for I mean, it'd be

00:35:36 --> 00:35:37
			nice to know.

00:35:39 --> 00:35:41
			But the problem is we may become
complacent if we know that's what

00:35:41 --> 00:35:44
			he's saying. Motivated by this
quest.

00:35:46 --> 00:35:51
			They practice righteous deeds, and
supplicate for the realization of

00:35:51 --> 00:35:55
			this aim. They feel that on
account of their virtuous deeds,

00:35:55 --> 00:35:58
			they have become deserving of
Allah special mercy.

00:36:00 --> 00:36:03
			dismissing this baseless idea,
though,

00:36:04 --> 00:36:07
			right, just because you do some
good deeds, you think you're

00:36:07 --> 00:36:11
			sorted. That's the problem and you
can't be guaranteed, dismissing

00:36:11 --> 00:36:16
			this baseless idea. Allah says in
the Quran, Allah chooses whom He

00:36:16 --> 00:36:18
			pleases for His mercy.

00:36:19 --> 00:36:22
			That's absolutely Allah's
prerogative. In other words, the

00:36:22 --> 00:36:26
			quest and righteous deeds of
people are not the basis for the

00:36:26 --> 00:36:30
			acquisition of a special mercy.
The basis is actually Allah's

00:36:30 --> 00:36:32
			will. And his mercy,

00:36:33 --> 00:36:37
			although righteous deeds, so that
means Should we stop doing

00:36:37 --> 00:36:40
			righteous deeds. He's saying,
although righteous deeds,

00:36:40 --> 00:36:44
			supplication efforts are not the
cause for the acquisition of Allah

00:36:44 --> 00:36:48
			special mercy. They are
undoubtfully signs of this special

00:36:48 --> 00:36:53
			eternal bounty. They just the sign
of it, that Allah has an attention

00:36:53 --> 00:36:55
			if we're doing good deeds, it just
shows that that is a sign that

00:36:55 --> 00:36:59
			Allah loves us. He's allowing us
to do good deeds. But it's not a

00:36:59 --> 00:37:01
			guarantee that we're going to make
it.

00:37:02 --> 00:37:06
			But it's something you hope for
you hope in when by the Grace of

00:37:06 --> 00:37:09
			Allah must stay the seven
practices righteousness, it

00:37:09 --> 00:37:12
			indicates that a servant might be
one of those electrons.

00:37:14 --> 00:37:18
			The servant should understand and
you see this, this is if I'm doing

00:37:18 --> 00:37:21
			good deeds, and I think I'm sorted
I am one of those, then I'm going

00:37:21 --> 00:37:24
			to be it's going to lead to
arrogance, it's going to lead to

00:37:25 --> 00:37:28
			complacence is going to lead to
maybe looking down upon others is

00:37:28 --> 00:37:32
			going to be in may lead to me
thinking I'm a chosen one, and so

00:37:32 --> 00:37:37
			on and so forth. Special. That's a
problem. Humans can't deal with

00:37:37 --> 00:37:41
			that. That's a fitna for humans to
think they're better than others.

00:37:41 --> 00:37:46
			That's why the way Allah has
sought it out is very humbling.

00:37:46 --> 00:37:49
			Right? He says, The servant should
understand that he must maintain

00:37:49 --> 00:37:52
			this practice of righteous deeds
in the hope that he will be

00:37:52 --> 00:37:54
			delivered ultimately, into Allah
special mercy.

00:37:55 --> 00:37:59
			If, however, the servant was not
exalted to practice virtue, but

00:37:59 --> 00:38:03
			was left with only the belief that
Allah Most High grants his special

00:38:03 --> 00:38:07
			mercy to whomever he wills, He
would have simply placed his

00:38:07 --> 00:38:11
			reliance on Destiny, thus, risks
refraining from righteous deeds.

00:38:12 --> 00:38:15
			Somebody mistook this and said,
Oh, Allah has written for some

00:38:15 --> 00:38:18
			people to be in paradise. And some
people have been held. I don't

00:38:18 --> 00:38:22
			know which one it is. What's the
point? What's the point of even

00:38:22 --> 00:38:26
			trying is written anyway. He's not
going to get anywhere. Because the

00:38:26 --> 00:38:29
			sign of being on the right side is
the good deed.

00:38:30 --> 00:38:31
			I hope that makes it clear.

00:38:34 --> 00:38:37
			That's why he then says, hence
Allah Most says, Show at the mercy

00:38:37 --> 00:38:42
			of Allah is close to the duties of
good. If you are a doer of good,

00:38:42 --> 00:38:45
			you do good deeds, then the Mercy
of Allah is close to you. So

00:38:45 --> 00:38:49
			there's every incentive to do good
deeds. So don't have a look at the

00:38:49 --> 00:38:52
			fact that oh, it's up to Allah. So
we're going to just leave it, do

00:38:52 --> 00:38:57
			the good deeds, but at the same
time, think that that is a sign

00:38:57 --> 00:39:00
			that Allah subhanaw taala is good
in store for us, and He allow us

00:39:00 --> 00:39:03
			to continue that. It is therefore
improper, improper to abandon

00:39:03 --> 00:39:04
			righteousness,

00:39:06 --> 00:39:09
			along with righteousness, hope
should be in Allah mostly, but not

00:39:09 --> 00:39:10
			in one's deeds.

00:39:12 --> 00:39:15
			Should one repose hope in one's
deeds, it should be tantamount to

00:39:15 --> 00:39:18
			reliance on oneself. Let's put it
this way. Right. This says that

00:39:18 --> 00:39:22
			say there's a project, somebody
wants

00:39:24 --> 00:39:27
			to hire somebody capable of a
certain thing that they have in

00:39:27 --> 00:39:31
			their company. So what they want
is they set out a certain project

00:39:31 --> 00:39:35
			for you to do. So you do the
project. They're gonna judge you

00:39:35 --> 00:39:39
			on what they feel when they see
you demonstrate that project. Not

00:39:39 --> 00:39:43
			on the project, but the way they
see you deal with that project.

00:39:43 --> 00:39:48
			Right. Now, it's happens all the
time. Sometimes what happened is

00:39:48 --> 00:39:51
			that you think your project was
better than the other guys, but

00:39:51 --> 00:39:52
			they got chosen.

00:39:53 --> 00:39:54
			Why did they get chosen for?

00:39:56 --> 00:39:57
			Is this like some kind of

00:39:59 --> 00:39:59
			exam

00:40:00 --> 00:40:04
			I'm where everybody must get the
same marks. It's up to the

00:40:04 --> 00:40:09
			employer. He, he, his project
might have been slightly

00:40:09 --> 00:40:13
			deficient, but the way they
carried out their demeanor,

00:40:14 --> 00:40:17
			their interaction might have been
superior. They might have seen,

00:40:17 --> 00:40:20
			okay, your project is better, but
they might be threatened by you.

00:40:20 --> 00:40:23
			Allah is never threatened by
anybody. But in a workplace,

00:40:23 --> 00:40:27
			sometimes you're overqualified. Do
you understand? You're gonna take

00:40:27 --> 00:40:30
			somebody who's got the whole
package. That's the kind of thing

00:40:30 --> 00:40:34
			here that you can't rely just on
your project, you rely on the way

00:40:34 --> 00:40:38
			you carry the whole thing out.
Like what you show what you think

00:40:38 --> 00:40:40
			you're going to bring to the
company and whether you're going

00:40:40 --> 00:40:43
			to be able to interact. That's
from a worldly perspective. Allah

00:40:43 --> 00:40:45
			subhanaw taala. He wants to see
the sincerity. He wants to see

00:40:45 --> 00:40:48
			that we're doing something for
him, not just the deeds, but the

00:40:48 --> 00:40:51
			deeds are necessary to show that's
the vehicle that these are just

00:40:51 --> 00:40:53
			the vehicle. That's why

00:40:55 --> 00:40:58
			it is therefore improper to just
abandon righteousness. But along

00:40:58 --> 00:41:01
			with righteousness, hope should be
in Allah Most High and not in

00:41:01 --> 00:41:03
			one's deeds, should one

00:41:04 --> 00:41:08
			repose hope on one's deeds. It
should be tantamount to reliance

00:41:08 --> 00:41:11
			on oneself. That's that's a really
good point. If you think that your

00:41:11 --> 00:41:13
			deeds are going to carry you that
means I'm going to carry myself

00:41:13 --> 00:41:16
			because the deeds are mine. That
means I'm just relying on myself

00:41:16 --> 00:41:20
			I'm not ALLAH SubhanA wa Tada.
It's for Allah, but Allah is going

00:41:20 --> 00:41:25
			to give us Tofik I think that
makes it very, very clear.

00:41:25 --> 00:41:29
			Finally, what if nada, Allah says
he has Sheikh Abdullah Ganga he

00:41:29 --> 00:41:33
			has actually clarified it, and may
Allah subhanaw taala allow us to

00:41:33 --> 00:41:37
			have that balance of good deeds
and attention to Allah subhanho wa

00:41:37 --> 00:41:41
			Taala and may Allah make us of the
chosen ones Allahumma into Silla,

00:41:41 --> 00:41:44
