hamdu Lillahi Rabbil Alameen wa salatu salam ala Murthy Ramadan

00:00:05 --> 00:00:06

lil Alameen

00:00:08 --> 00:00:13

while he was me he raka was seldom at the Sleeman Kathira on Isla yo

00:00:13 --> 00:00:14

Medina America.

00:00:16 --> 00:00:19

Call along with the baraka with Derrida, Philip Quran Majeed, we

00:00:19 --> 00:00:25

will for corneal Hamid well as Corrado che who are higher lecom

00:00:26 --> 00:00:31

difference. We carry on with our discussion of the aphorisms of

00:00:31 --> 00:00:36

Hypno Otto Illa al Eskandari. Rahima hula. So we move on to

00:00:38 --> 00:00:44

aphorism number 83, which is on page 194.

00:00:45 --> 00:00:50

PAGE 194 of the book of wisdoms. So, this is what Natale law says

00:00:50 --> 00:00:54

it's a very short wisdom but it's amazing in its profundity. It's a

00:00:54 --> 00:01:00

very incredible statement, wrote Burma talk for menarik what Obama

00:01:00 --> 00:01:06

mana UK for our taka. So Rob Burma, Taka Femina UK, where Obama

00:01:06 --> 00:01:08

Menaka for our talker,

00:01:09 --> 00:01:14

but that means is he saying that sometimes he gives you while

00:01:14 --> 00:01:14

depriving you.

00:01:16 --> 00:01:21

And sometimes it deprives you in giving.

00:01:22 --> 00:01:27

So sometimes he gives you but deprives you. And other times, it

00:01:27 --> 00:01:32

deprives you but gives you so in his deprivation is a giving. And

00:01:32 --> 00:01:35

when he deprives you, he's actually giving you something.

00:01:36 --> 00:01:39

And when he gives you some, in some cases, if he gives you

00:01:39 --> 00:01:41

something that you really want, he's depriving you from something

00:01:41 --> 00:01:44

better. So that's what it is, is Allah subhanaw taala isn't the

00:01:44 --> 00:01:48

law, Allah subhanaw taala has system, Allah subhanaw taala, his

00:01:48 --> 00:01:52

way of doing things, he's the master, he's the creator. He is

00:01:52 --> 00:01:56

above all in charge of everything he knows what he wants to do. He

00:01:56 --> 00:01:59

knows what he wants, where he wants it, and at what time he

00:01:59 --> 00:02:04

wants it. And we're just part of that system. So he has this huge

00:02:04 --> 00:02:09

system where he's dealing with everybody at once. We are just one

00:02:09 --> 00:02:14

clog very, very, very small club in our system. But somehow we try

00:02:14 --> 00:02:17

to think that we're much bigger than we are. When we try to

00:02:17 --> 00:02:19

control things in a certain way, of course, we have a bit of

00:02:19 --> 00:02:23

control, He's given us free will. So we've we can definitely control

00:02:23 --> 00:02:26

things. And things are predictable. So if I raise my

00:02:26 --> 00:02:30

hand, it will rise up, if I reach out to get something, I will

00:02:30 --> 00:02:33

normally be able to pick it up. So the world is definitely a

00:02:33 --> 00:02:37

predictable place. But it's not a guaranteed place that everything

00:02:37 --> 00:02:41

you will try to achieve you will get. So while at the same time,

00:02:41 --> 00:02:44

it's not that you will get everything that you set out to

00:02:44 --> 00:02:50

achieve. But at the same time it is not so up there in the air are

00:02:50 --> 00:02:54

so fickle, or so unpredictable, that even if you go and make an

00:02:54 --> 00:02:57

effort that you never get it. So you have a

00:02:58 --> 00:03:00

if you have a glass and you have some water and you want to pour

00:03:00 --> 00:03:03

into the glass, if you do it correctly, most people are gonna

00:03:03 --> 00:03:04

get that right.

00:03:05 --> 00:03:08

It is never going to be that I'm trying to do it right. But the

00:03:08 --> 00:03:12

water is somehow right above, it's above, but somehow it's actually

00:03:12 --> 00:03:15

going there or going here and it's not falling into the cup somehow.

00:03:16 --> 00:03:18

That's kind of absurd. I mean, I mean, I know this is obvious

00:03:18 --> 00:03:21

stuff. But in the grand realm of things we know we can understand

00:03:21 --> 00:03:25

putting water into a cup or meat opening this and drinking from

00:03:25 --> 00:03:29

here, it's quite obvious. But we need to think of even the big

00:03:29 --> 00:03:32

matters in the same way that if we do things in the right way it will

00:03:32 --> 00:03:36

happen. If I want to marry somebody, and I do the right

00:03:36 --> 00:03:40

things, it's possible that it will happen. But it may not happen as

00:03:40 --> 00:03:42

well. In this case, obviously there's somebody else involved

00:03:42 --> 00:03:46

here as well. They have a whole life. They've got people

00:03:46 --> 00:03:51

associated with them, they've got decisions, they've got factors

00:03:51 --> 00:03:54

that they have to consider. It's not just me that I want to marry

00:03:54 --> 00:03:56

that woman. So I must get her.

00:03:58 --> 00:04:01

There's too many factors involved here. You have to remember there's

00:04:01 --> 00:04:04

her, there's all her family members, there's her

00:04:04 --> 00:04:07

circumstances, there's her internal feeling, all of that has

00:04:07 --> 00:04:12

to also be right for that to come together. And then to stay

00:04:12 --> 00:04:12

together.

00:04:13 --> 00:04:18

That's very difficult. That's why Allah subhanaw taala is the best

00:04:18 --> 00:04:20

of planners of all of these things, because he knows all of

00:04:20 --> 00:04:24

these things. And he is the one who is in charge of all of the

00:04:24 --> 00:04:27

factors. At the end of the day, we have only a certain amount. So

00:04:27 --> 00:04:31

we're just a small aspect of this world, we try our best within the

00:04:31 --> 00:04:36

dimension within the realm of our control, perceived control at

00:04:36 --> 00:04:40

least, and then we have to leave it. Now what this is giving us is

00:04:40 --> 00:04:44

a philosophy. What this is giving us is a philosophy if people can,

00:04:45 --> 00:04:50

this is these are words that could be really, really inspirational.

00:04:50 --> 00:04:53

People can just just take them to heat that thing. Sometimes you'll

00:04:53 --> 00:04:56

receive something that you really want. But what that has done is

00:04:56 --> 00:04:59

they've actually deprived you for something bigger. You may only

00:04:59 --> 00:04:59

find out

00:05:00 --> 00:05:02

about that, and then you think, oh, no, why did I do it this? Or

00:05:02 --> 00:05:06

why did I choose this option should have chosen that option.

00:05:06 --> 00:05:09

Look how beautiful that is. Now, look where that's gone look at

00:05:09 --> 00:05:12

that investment, I think a good example would be that I chose to

00:05:12 --> 00:05:14

invest here and not here. And then there was a problem.

00:05:15 --> 00:05:19

Simpler, still something on a daily day to day basis,

00:05:20 --> 00:05:25

I should have taken that road. But I took this one instead, I thought

00:05:25 --> 00:05:28

this was gonna get there faster, they got there much faster, and I

00:05:29 --> 00:05:30

got stuck in half an hour traffic.

00:05:32 --> 00:05:36

That's our control. Allah, that's the limit of our control. That's,

00:05:36 --> 00:05:39

that's what it is. So that's what he's saying that sometimes he

00:05:39 --> 00:05:42

gives you what you want, but he's depriving you from something

00:05:42 --> 00:05:45

that's more important. And sometimes he will deprive you,

00:05:45 --> 00:05:48

that's the tough part, you see the one about he gives you you feel

00:05:48 --> 00:05:52

good at that time, I've got what I wanted. Right? And then you may

00:05:52 --> 00:05:53

regret later.

00:05:54 --> 00:05:56

Or you may not never had never even know.

00:05:57 --> 00:06:00

But you could have been much better, but you never know. So

00:06:00 --> 00:06:03

maybe you're not even upset. But in most cases, I guess for this

00:06:03 --> 00:06:07

work that you will find out. But in other cases, it's where we want

00:06:07 --> 00:06:10

something and we don't get it that's more upsetting. Because

00:06:10 --> 00:06:13

hey, I didn't get this. And you have to wait that out. And then

00:06:13 --> 00:06:16

you get the happiness later. Whereas in the first case, you're

00:06:16 --> 00:06:19

quite elated. First, you're quite excited first, that you've gotten

00:06:19 --> 00:06:22

what you want. And then after that, you're like, oh, no, why did

00:06:22 --> 00:06:27

I get that? I've been deprived now of something better. So I don't

00:06:27 --> 00:06:30

know, which is worse. I think the second one is worse generally for

00:06:30 --> 00:06:33

people because they think that they're losers because of that.

00:06:34 --> 00:06:38

So it's a really interesting idea, but it really sums up our world.

00:06:38 --> 00:06:42

And if if we understand that, that's Allah subhanaw taala behind

00:06:42 --> 00:06:46

everything make things easy for us to understand that what this

00:06:46 --> 00:06:50

hinges on is ultimately, Allah Tala has wisdom and his foresight,

00:06:50 --> 00:06:53

and his absolute knowledge of everything. So if we can just say,

00:06:53 --> 00:06:56

Look, I'm going to do my best, I'm going to worship Allah, I'm going

00:06:56 --> 00:06:59

to show my devotion to Him, I'm going to remember him, and I'm

00:06:59 --> 00:07:01

going to thank him. And I'm going to have patience when there's

00:07:01 --> 00:07:05

difficulties, then I'm going to make an effort though, in trying

00:07:05 --> 00:07:07

to get what's beneficial for me, because that's what the Prophet

00:07:07 --> 00:07:10

sallallahu Sallam told me to do. And that's what I'm required to

00:07:10 --> 00:07:13

do. That's what I've been built to do by Allah subhanaw taala. But if

00:07:13 --> 00:07:16

I don't get sometimes, then I'm going to realize that it's

00:07:16 --> 00:07:21

probably something better in this absence, in this prevention from

00:07:21 --> 00:07:25

me in this hindrance from me, I'm going to get something better. And

00:07:25 --> 00:07:29

sometimes, I must be careful that if I do get something, well, maybe

00:07:29 --> 00:07:32

I've lost out on something better. So let me not get too excited

00:07:32 --> 00:07:35

about this laminate, not get too excited about it. Nothing wrong

00:07:36 --> 00:07:40

with getting excited and happy about something that you receive.

00:07:40 --> 00:07:43

It's not like every time we receive something, that there's

00:07:43 --> 00:07:46

going to be something better that we should be worried about that,

00:07:46 --> 00:07:48

hey, why didn't we get this and why did we get it we shouldn't

00:07:48 --> 00:07:51

become our life should not become like this. But the idea is that

00:07:51 --> 00:07:54

don't get so excited, because we may discover that actually, there

00:07:54 --> 00:07:59

may have been a better option in that case. Okay, so let us see

00:07:59 --> 00:08:04

what our ignore RGB Rahimullah tells us about this. He says, See,

00:08:04 --> 00:08:07

if we go down to our knifes, and our

00:08:08 --> 00:08:13

behavior, our psychology, the knifes, Amara,

00:08:14 --> 00:08:19

and the lawanna. Until we get to multiply in which we've discussed

00:08:19 --> 00:08:24

in previous lessons in the solo series as a whole Sufism series,

00:08:24 --> 00:08:27

there's a whole discussion about this, but when a person has the

00:08:28 --> 00:08:35

evil, inciting self, the lower ego and also the lawanna which means

00:08:35 --> 00:08:40

the blaming soul, it feels good when we're given something

00:08:41 --> 00:08:43

everybody feels good when they're given something, you receive your

00:08:43 --> 00:08:48

new phone you mashallah, you know, you have a good sleep, you feel

00:08:48 --> 00:08:52

good. So anything that we're given any good experience that we have

00:08:52 --> 00:08:58

our knifes expanse and feels good, and has a sense of enjoyment. And

00:08:58 --> 00:09:02

the other problem is that when we, when we don't receive something,

00:09:02 --> 00:09:06

when we're prohibited from something, when we're prevented

00:09:06 --> 00:09:10

from something, when we miss out on something, it contracts, you

00:09:10 --> 00:09:10

feel bad.

00:09:12 --> 00:09:16

That's the dopamine rush, you don't get a dopamine rush. There's

00:09:17 --> 00:09:19

other chemicals that are probably released. That's why it makes you

00:09:19 --> 00:09:23

feel a bit down. And then after that, if there's something that

00:09:23 --> 00:09:26

good comes about, you get a good cheat, you achieve something well,

00:09:26 --> 00:09:30

then again, it opens up as well, again, the problem with that is

00:09:31 --> 00:09:35

people get really addicted to this and that can be sometimes very,

00:09:35 --> 00:09:39

very wrong. A human being is supposed to be satisfied with

00:09:39 --> 00:09:41

Allah as long as they're doing the right thing. They should be

00:09:41 --> 00:09:44

satisfied with whatever state Allah subhanaw taala puts them

00:09:44 --> 00:09:44

into.

00:09:45 --> 00:09:49

And what the what social media has done today is that it's given you

00:09:49 --> 00:09:52

a very easy way. Because all you for some people, especially when

00:09:52 --> 00:09:56

they're beginning they just like they just need a few likes. Just a

00:09:56 --> 00:10:00

few ticks a few likes. That's really wonderful. That's a lot

00:10:00 --> 00:10:04

revalidation. So it's excitement. It's that excitement. Now, when

00:10:04 --> 00:10:07

you get the same number of likes, you start thinking that that's

00:10:07 --> 00:10:10

become the standard. So then you have to do something to get more

00:10:10 --> 00:10:15

likes higher likes more following, because the purpose is not to

00:10:15 --> 00:10:20

necessarily educate someone else, or to just tell a story to someone

00:10:20 --> 00:10:24

or whatever it's actually to get feedback, positive feedback, so

00:10:24 --> 00:10:28

that we can feel good. It's a very noisy enterprise. I mean, I'm

00:10:28 --> 00:10:32

using social media, I completely understand this. It's a very nifty

00:10:32 --> 00:10:34

enterprise, you have to be very careful because you, you get

00:10:34 --> 00:10:36

caught up, because that's what it's all about. That's what you're

00:10:36 --> 00:10:41

supposed to do. You're supposed to, there are tutorials out there

00:10:41 --> 00:10:42

to tell you how to get better

00:10:44 --> 00:10:47

on social media, how to become more popular. That's what it's

00:10:47 --> 00:10:52

about. It's not like somebody's doing this in some kind of, you

00:10:52 --> 00:10:54

know, hidden way that these are just hidden ways. And no, this is

00:10:54 --> 00:10:58

open, this is what it is, this is what you do on Facebook, and

00:10:58 --> 00:11:01

Twitter and Instagram, and so on so forth. Not to say it's wrong to

00:11:01 --> 00:11:04

do that if you've got the right purpose for doing it. But it's

00:11:04 --> 00:11:08

very easy to get caught up in that. How do you sift if you're

00:11:08 --> 00:11:13

into the data? If you're into a great if you're into business?

00:11:13 --> 00:11:16

Understandable, right? It's Halal to do business on social media,

00:11:16 --> 00:11:17

promote your business.

00:11:19 --> 00:11:21

So how do you know it's just it's just that when you think you're

00:11:21 --> 00:11:24

being rewarded for your good work that you're doing on there, and

00:11:24 --> 00:11:27

then it's actually really for the knifes and it's not really for the

00:11:27 --> 00:11:30

good work, or the good work is a secondary issue. That's when it

00:11:30 --> 00:11:31

gets a bit more complicated.

00:11:32 --> 00:11:37

So avoid the bad enough, still a majority will lawanna and dumbass

00:11:37 --> 00:11:41

the poor Bill atop one copy of the bill men, when we receive

00:11:41 --> 00:11:46

something, we we have a dopamine rush and the soul expands. Lovely.

00:11:47 --> 00:11:52

And it contracts when we're prevented from something. Reason

00:11:52 --> 00:11:55

is obvious that when you receive something, when you're given

00:11:55 --> 00:11:58

something, that is what the desire of the knifes is, so you've

00:11:59 --> 00:12:02

fulfilling a desire, your enjoyment, it's indulgence.

00:12:03 --> 00:12:07

So it's going to have to expand by that that's obvious, right? It's

00:12:07 --> 00:12:10

going to expand by this. And if you're prevented from something,

00:12:10 --> 00:12:14

you're not giving it its food. When people don't have food, they

00:12:14 --> 00:12:17

have issues, when they have not had a meal, they get aggravated,

00:12:18 --> 00:12:19

or not had their sleep.

00:12:21 --> 00:12:21

They have a problem.

00:12:23 --> 00:12:25

They've done a survey of they've done a research, they've done

00:12:25 --> 00:12:30

research on deep sleep to deprive people. It's so bad, you know, to

00:12:30 --> 00:12:34

be sleep deprived, although that's another subject is that they

00:12:34 --> 00:12:37

deprive somebody they deprived people from sleep for like a week

00:12:37 --> 00:12:41

or something. And then they tested them with certain decisions and

00:12:41 --> 00:12:44

everything. They found that they act very similar to people with

00:12:44 --> 00:12:49

mental health problems. That's how important sleep is. It's going to

00:12:49 --> 00:12:51

contract with that when you when you're deprived of something it's

00:12:51 --> 00:12:52

going to happen.

00:12:54 --> 00:12:58

And all of this so all of this is because of the jolly harbour of

00:12:58 --> 00:13:03

Bihar is because of its ignorance and unawareness of their Lord of

00:13:03 --> 00:13:06

their Sustainer of the one who is in charge of all of these things

00:13:06 --> 00:13:10

for them. That's why they've just misunderstood this, they've just

00:13:10 --> 00:13:14

not understood it. If they'd had understood about Allah subhanahu

00:13:14 --> 00:13:18

wa taala, you would know sometimes that when he prevents something

00:13:18 --> 00:13:20

from you is actually giving you something

00:13:22 --> 00:13:25

when he prevents something from you, when something doesn't come

00:13:25 --> 00:13:27

to you, you're gonna get something else, there's another benefit

00:13:27 --> 00:13:31

that's going to ensue from there. And sometimes if he's giving you

00:13:31 --> 00:13:33

something you don't realize this is when you're going to forget

00:13:33 --> 00:13:37

because you're so excited. Right? If he doesn't give you something

00:13:37 --> 00:13:41

sorry, if he gives you something, then he's actually preventing you

00:13:41 --> 00:13:43

from someone else from something else.

00:13:44 --> 00:13:49

So the best thing for a Muslim to do is to understand their Lord and

00:13:49 --> 00:13:54

have that refined understanding of their true truth Oh hate Allah

00:13:54 --> 00:13:59

subhanho wa Taala and more so if somebody is connected to Allah

00:13:59 --> 00:14:04

subhanho wa Taala at some level, but in a negative sense in when

00:14:04 --> 00:14:07

they don't get something they start blaming Allah subhanaw taala

00:14:08 --> 00:14:12

then that is probably even worse, to blame Allah subhanaw taala

00:14:12 --> 00:14:15

because you're supposed to have some awareness but you've got a

00:14:15 --> 00:14:20

complete wrong idea about Allah subhanaw taala so there's somebody

00:14:20 --> 00:14:22

will won't even bring a line to the picture they'll just be upset.

00:14:23 --> 00:14:25

There's others will be upset and then blame Allah that Why didn't

00:14:25 --> 00:14:28

you give me this? Why? Why are you just choosing me to deprive Why is

00:14:28 --> 00:14:32

it always me? I don't know which ones worse. One is unawareness.

00:14:32 --> 00:14:33

The other one is

00:14:34 --> 00:14:38

that he thinks he's aware of a lie thinks he is. I don't know. I

00:14:38 --> 00:14:42

don't know which one is worse. Allah prevent us from both. So

00:14:42 --> 00:14:45

anyway, what happens is that Allah subhanho wa Taala sometimes he

00:14:45 --> 00:14:49

gives you that which you're not that which knifes desires that

00:14:49 --> 00:14:53

wish the ego and people desire. But what he does is that he then

00:14:53 --> 00:14:55

prevents you so you've got something that's going to so

00:14:55 --> 00:14:59

excite you and engross you and distract you, but it's

00:15:00 --> 00:15:04

What he's done in that is actually by that he's prevented you from

00:15:04 --> 00:15:06

presents with the Holy One.

00:15:08 --> 00:15:11

You've missed the next prayer because of that. You have Miss

00:15:11 --> 00:15:12

going to the masjid because of that.

00:15:14 --> 00:15:15

Now you might think, what's the big deal

00:15:16 --> 00:15:18

of just miss going to the masjid because I was trying out my new

00:15:18 --> 00:15:22

car or trying out my new game or trying out my new computer while I

00:15:22 --> 00:15:26

was eating at that very good restaurant, right? I was with,

00:15:26 --> 00:15:30

with friends. What's the big deal? Well, okay, maybe you've just

00:15:30 --> 00:15:35

missed 25 times more reward. Right? You've also miss being in

00:15:35 --> 00:15:39

the house of Allah, which you could have been in, right and all

00:15:39 --> 00:15:43

of that Rama and mercy. Right? You've just missed that part of

00:15:43 --> 00:15:46

the mercy of bearing witness for you on the Day of Judgment. Just

00:15:46 --> 00:15:49

so many this can open up in so many ways. I'm just talking about

00:15:49 --> 00:15:54

that particular scenario. Sometimes he will prevent you from

00:15:54 --> 00:15:59

what your enough desires, but by that you will have much more

00:15:59 --> 00:16:02

presence with Allah subhanho wa taala. And you will gain more

00:16:02 --> 00:16:03

comfort with him.

00:16:04 --> 00:16:07

Because you will turn to alone that you've been getting

00:16:07 --> 00:16:10

everything you've been after so far, and you've been forgetting

00:16:10 --> 00:16:12

Allah. So now

00:16:13 --> 00:16:16

he is prohibited from you. So you started

00:16:18 --> 00:16:21

coming off your high horse and started thinking about Hey, what

00:16:21 --> 00:16:25

is it? Yeah, Allah what is what have I done wrong, oh Allah. And

00:16:25 --> 00:16:27

then you start worshipping Allah subhanho wa taala. So you gain

00:16:27 --> 00:16:32

comfort with Allah. Sometimes Allah subhanho wa Taala will give

00:16:32 --> 00:16:36

you from the enjoyment and the adornments of this world, but then

00:16:36 --> 00:16:40

he will prevent you from the adornment of His presence and the

00:16:40 --> 00:16:43

shine of that presence and the light that comes from that

00:16:43 --> 00:16:47

presence. Sometimes he will give you a adornment, or sometimes he

00:16:47 --> 00:16:50

will prevent you from the adornment of well, but then he'll

00:16:50 --> 00:16:55

actually give you being present with him in with him and gaining

00:16:55 --> 00:16:56

his vision.

00:16:57 --> 00:16:59

Sometimes Allah subhanahu wa taala will give you

00:17:01 --> 00:17:03

the sustenance

00:17:04 --> 00:17:08

and the provisions of what bodies what humans receive. So you will

00:17:08 --> 00:17:13

get abundant money, abundant food, abundant supplies, but he is

00:17:13 --> 00:17:18

preventing from you the supplies and the provisions of the heart.

00:17:19 --> 00:17:21

So mashallah, you've got lots of food,

00:17:22 --> 00:17:26

and ability to eat where you want and where whatever you want. But

00:17:26 --> 00:17:29

he's just prevented you from giving anything to your soul.

00:17:30 --> 00:17:34

And sometimes he will actually give for your soul. But you may

00:17:34 --> 00:17:36

not have the outer,

00:17:37 --> 00:17:41

the intelligence or the even the food for the outer self mazing

00:17:41 --> 00:17:45

system, Allah subhanaw taala. And there are such people, they're

00:17:45 --> 00:17:49

very poor. But they're very satisfied. Somehow, their heart is

00:17:49 --> 00:17:52

being fed, which is even more important. And yet, there's others

00:17:52 --> 00:17:56

who have a lot to eat a lot to wear, a lot to choose from, but

00:17:56 --> 00:18:02

they have emptiness. They have inner emptiness, as a Muslim, any

00:18:02 --> 00:18:07

Muslim, any Muslim, just the fact any Muslim with the basic

00:18:07 --> 00:18:12

understanding of the Aqeedah has a lot more, has a lot more than

00:18:12 --> 00:18:14

somebody who doesn't believe in God.

00:18:15 --> 00:18:18

Right? Maybe not all the time, you'll see that. But you will see

00:18:18 --> 00:18:22

that time at the time of difficulty, just the mere small

00:18:22 --> 00:18:26

amount of belief. And that's why Muslims, you see, there's a lot of

00:18:26 --> 00:18:30

people out there. There's a lot of people out there. And there's

00:18:30 --> 00:18:33

other people who can tell them what to how to make money. There's

00:18:33 --> 00:18:37

lots of that. There's a lot of them. There's a lot of people out

00:18:37 --> 00:18:41

there who can tell him how to gain comfort. We Muslims don't need to

00:18:41 --> 00:18:44

be telling him that. What we need to be telling them is to share

00:18:44 --> 00:18:48

what we have. We have an antidote to emptiness.

00:18:49 --> 00:18:53

Believe in Allah subhanaw taala hasn't Allah helped you in your

00:18:53 --> 00:18:54

moment of vulnerability?

00:18:55 --> 00:18:59

This people, this is the biggest thing that people are suffering

00:18:59 --> 00:19:04

from an emptiness. And a lot of this modern tradition of flux of

00:19:04 --> 00:19:09

just do what's good. Just do what you think is good for you. With no

00:19:09 --> 00:19:13

limit with no destination with no goal, it's just going to change

00:19:13 --> 00:19:15

every year. That just shows you the emptiness that they're looking

00:19:15 --> 00:19:19

for something which changes every other trends change every year.

00:19:20 --> 00:19:23

This was taboo 20 years ago, and now it's completely fine. And then

00:19:23 --> 00:19:27

there's going to be more and more and more and more of that. Because

00:19:27 --> 00:19:29

there's emptiness you're looking for something to fill into with

00:19:29 --> 00:19:34

Muslims are failing to that with Muslims, you've got an idea. You

00:19:34 --> 00:19:37

just have to learn that more. And there's a limit. There's a

00:19:37 --> 00:19:43

objective, there's a goal, and we know our purpose. If anybody who

00:19:43 --> 00:19:47

knows the purpose of where you came from, where you're going, and

00:19:47 --> 00:19:48

why you are here,

00:19:50 --> 00:19:54

then that is so much better than a lot of other people who don't have

00:19:54 --> 00:19:57

that. So as Muslims, that's the biggest way that we can give is to

00:19:57 --> 00:20:00

just fill hope. For example,

00:20:00 --> 00:20:03

Pull. If there's somebody, you know, you got somebody who never

00:20:03 --> 00:20:09

gets too agitated, imagine you work in an in a normal environment

00:20:09 --> 00:20:12

in an office somewhere. And there's a guy in the office, he

00:20:12 --> 00:20:16

never gets too agitated. He's always quite calm. He deals with

00:20:16 --> 00:20:23

challenges quite decently. And he doesn't get involved in the

00:20:23 --> 00:20:27

gossip. He tries to avoid the gossip and backbiting and all that

00:20:27 --> 00:20:32

doesn't use curse words, not very insulting is a pleasant person to

00:20:32 --> 00:20:35

be around. Yes, sometimes he's been doing a few weird things like

00:20:35 --> 00:20:38

in a corner in the room or something like that, you know,

00:20:38 --> 00:20:39

bowing down and things like that.

00:20:40 --> 00:20:43

People are gonna wonder why you're so calm.

00:20:44 --> 00:20:46

Now, that's a Muslim, he's a Muslim.

00:20:48 --> 00:20:52

He's a Muslim, that's what what is it in that faith that he feels so

00:20:52 --> 00:20:53

wholesome.

00:20:54 --> 00:20:57

And he doesn't seem so empty, that he has to resort to all of these

00:20:57 --> 00:20:58

other things that people do.

00:20:59 --> 00:21:02

That's the biggest THAT or WHICH other data do you want to do?

00:21:04 --> 00:21:07

openly, there's a lot of data, if you know how to do it, speak the

00:21:07 --> 00:21:12

Speak, you know, speak the words, but this is the data that is going

00:21:12 --> 00:21:13

to help the people

00:21:15 --> 00:21:17

fill their emptiness in action.

00:21:20 --> 00:21:23

This is what this is teaching us of how to understand Allah and to

00:21:23 --> 00:21:26

react to different situations.

00:21:28 --> 00:21:34

Sometimes, Allah subhanho wa Taala will grant you the attention of

00:21:34 --> 00:21:36

creation, you will be very popular.

00:21:38 --> 00:21:41

But then he will prevent you from the attention of Allah subhanaw

00:21:41 --> 00:21:45

taala. And sometimes, Allah subhanho wa Taala would prevent

00:21:45 --> 00:21:50

you from having the attention of people, but he's given you comfort

00:21:50 --> 00:21:53

and the attention of Allah subhanaw taala.

00:21:55 --> 00:22:00

Sometimes Allah subhanaw taala may give you various different forms

00:22:00 --> 00:22:06

of knowledge, and will open up to you the, the doors of

00:22:06 --> 00:22:10

understanding so you will get things you're very smart. But the

00:22:10 --> 00:22:14

problem is that he will then prevent you from knowing the

00:22:14 --> 00:22:17

reality of things as they should be known in terms of the benefit

00:22:17 --> 00:22:20

of the Hereafter. And for you to really know how you're gonna you

00:22:22 --> 00:22:25

the truly living and the self subsisting one, you won't know

00:22:25 --> 00:22:27

that you'll understand everything else, you'll be the biggest

00:22:27 --> 00:22:30

scientist, biggest thinker in the world, but you just don't know

00:22:30 --> 00:22:33

what's important for you. And how many of those kinds of people have

00:22:33 --> 00:22:33

we had?

00:22:34 --> 00:22:37

They've been deluded just about this one point. They've

00:22:37 --> 00:22:41

reinterpreting ways that they know it doesn't even understand. I

00:22:41 --> 00:22:46

mean, what does? What does dancing to your DNA mean? How does

00:22:46 --> 00:22:49

somebody dance to their DNA? What kind of an explanation is that?

00:22:50 --> 00:22:52

It's like absurd, but because it's coming from a person who's

00:22:52 --> 00:22:56

considered to be, you know, quite smart and intelligent, there must

00:22:56 --> 00:22:59

be some understanding on it, we just don't get it must be

00:22:59 --> 00:23:01

something about it. So people actually will start using that

00:23:01 --> 00:23:05

terminology, that statement without really understanding it.

00:23:06 --> 00:23:09

This is the weirdest part, the clean tech lead works everywhere

00:23:10 --> 00:23:13

in a blind following, just because you've seen an authority and

00:23:13 --> 00:23:17

you've gained some respect for the authority. So you will take what

00:23:17 --> 00:23:19

they say without really understanding it is very

00:23:19 --> 00:23:21

interesting, our humans work.

00:23:22 --> 00:23:25

I've seen this when we have students who are writing fatwas,

00:23:25 --> 00:23:28

if there's another Mufti that they trust in another scholar, and One

00:23:28 --> 00:23:32

scholar has said that you just take it so so when I questioned

00:23:32 --> 00:23:34

them. I said, What do you mean by this? What's the evidence behind

00:23:34 --> 00:23:38

it? They don't know. But he said it. So that's not we need to know

00:23:38 --> 00:23:42

evidences back to, you know, our main sources, people do tech lead

00:23:42 --> 00:23:44

and everything. So they do it in this as well. They don't know what

00:23:44 --> 00:23:47

they're following. They just say the same thing. Sometimes Allah

00:23:47 --> 00:23:50

subhanaw taala will prevent you from knowing so many various

00:23:50 --> 00:23:55

different sciences, but he will give you such comfort and such

00:23:55 --> 00:24:00

tranquility, with him, the living and the self subsistent one. And

00:24:00 --> 00:24:05

afterwards, you will actually become completely encompassing of

00:24:05 --> 00:24:09

everything that is out there that is that others will not know you

00:24:09 --> 00:24:13

will get a basura and the divine insight into that Subhanallah

00:24:13 --> 00:24:16

sometimes Allah subhanho wa Taala will give you the honor of the

00:24:16 --> 00:24:21

dunya but he will deprive you of the honor of the hereafter. But

00:24:21 --> 00:24:24

sometimes Allah subhanaw taala will prevent you from having honor

00:24:24 --> 00:24:27

in this world. But he'll give you the honor of the you know, and

00:24:27 --> 00:24:28

there's been so many people like that.

00:24:29 --> 00:24:32

They were disgraced in this world. They were on the hook. They were

00:24:32 --> 00:24:35

on the truth, but the battle was very prevalent at the time. And

00:24:35 --> 00:24:38

they had to go they were persecuted but they get the

00:24:38 --> 00:24:41

benefit of the hereafter. Now you never know these things. You see,

00:24:41 --> 00:24:43

you never know these things. That's the only way to gain

00:24:43 --> 00:24:46

comfort with this is to know your deen and know Allah subhanaw taala

00:24:46 --> 00:24:50

and continue to worship him that way. Sometimes Allah subhanahu wa

00:24:50 --> 00:24:51

taala

00:24:52 --> 00:24:58

will give you the ability to be to be honored by having a lot of

00:24:58 --> 00:24:59

people around you

00:25:00 --> 00:25:03

But then Allah subhanho wa Taala will not be in your life. So you

00:25:03 --> 00:25:07

will be prevented from that. And sometimes Allah subhanaw taala

00:25:07 --> 00:25:10

will prevent you from having so many people around you, but then

00:25:10 --> 00:25:14

he'll give you the ability to be with the King of all kings.

00:25:15 --> 00:25:18

Sometimes Allah subhanaw taala will allow you and give you the

00:25:18 --> 00:25:22

service of all people. So they will serve you, they will do your

00:25:22 --> 00:25:26

bidding. But the problem is that he will prevent you from

00:25:26 --> 00:25:30

witnessing the one who allows all of these things to happen, the one

00:25:30 --> 00:25:34

who creates all of these things. And sometimes Allah will prevent

00:25:34 --> 00:25:39

you from receiving the services of others, that he will allow you to

00:25:39 --> 00:25:42

witness the one who gives everything and who produces and

00:25:42 --> 00:25:43

creates everything.

00:25:45 --> 00:25:51

Sometimes Allah subhanahu wa taala will not allow you will hinder you

00:25:51 --> 00:25:56

from being able to do whatever you want. But he'll give you something

00:25:56 --> 00:26:01

else of the higher realms to benefit from. But other times.

00:26:02 --> 00:26:06

So it just, sometimes Allah will prevent you from whatever you want

00:26:06 --> 00:26:10

to do it. Whatever you do, you just gotta get frustrated, but

00:26:10 --> 00:26:13

then he'll give you something higher, as long as you recognize

00:26:13 --> 00:26:18

him, and so on and so forth. This is basically like, just think

00:26:18 --> 00:26:22

about it. Don't get too perturbed by what you lose. Because maybe

00:26:22 --> 00:26:25

Allah subhanaw taala has something better for you. And you know, once

00:26:25 --> 00:26:28

you lose it, you see, you might think that this is a kind of a cop

00:26:28 --> 00:26:32

out. It is not. It really helps a person. This is how Allah has

00:26:32 --> 00:26:35

created this is the reality that when you don't get something when

00:26:35 --> 00:26:38

you've tried to get it, you've done everything that you have

00:26:38 --> 00:26:41

tried to get it and you didn't get it So alhamdulillah what else are

00:26:41 --> 00:26:45

you going to do afterwards? Why don't you assume that he's

00:26:45 --> 00:26:48

prevented? You mean he's going to give you something better? Because

00:26:48 --> 00:26:51

that's a reality it happens. That's why ignore louder

00:26:53 --> 00:27:00

and higher team. Ignore RBL Hi, Timmy says either monitor further

00:27:00 --> 00:27:05

auto what either or theta further Commando. Fuck that it darker I'll

00:27:07 --> 00:27:10

just summing up this thing. He says that if you have been

00:27:10 --> 00:27:15

prevented, and that's his giving, and if you were given, and that

00:27:15 --> 00:27:20

could be his prevention, that could be him preventing. So choose

00:27:21 --> 00:27:26

the abandonment, over the acquisition sometimes that's

00:27:26 --> 00:27:29

better for you. And I think this is all summed up with the verse

00:27:29 --> 00:27:32

that I read right in the beginning, Allah subhanaw taala

00:27:32 --> 00:27:36

says what inserter Bacara as an integral who shaitan Hahaha You

00:27:36 --> 00:27:39

don't like? What I said unto him? Boo shaitan Whoa, Sheldon lecom

00:27:40 --> 00:27:45

Allah Who Yalom want to military, the moon. Right? That perhaps you

00:27:45 --> 00:27:49

dislike something, whereas it's actually better for you. And

00:27:49 --> 00:27:52

sometimes you love something, you prefer something but it's actually

00:27:52 --> 00:27:55

bad for you. You don't know Allah subhanaw taala knows everything

00:27:55 --> 00:28:00

But you don't know. If you say you're believers in Allah. Right?

00:28:00 --> 00:28:04

And you don't get this. What kind of a belief do you have in Allah

00:28:04 --> 00:28:08

subhanaw taala? If this is, if it's not if your belief in Allah

00:28:08 --> 00:28:10

subhanaw taala is not going to help you here. What is the point

00:28:10 --> 00:28:11

of that belief?

00:28:13 --> 00:28:18

The belief in Allah subhanho wa Taala should be so active, should

00:28:18 --> 00:28:21

be so active, that it should benefit you in everything. It

00:28:21 --> 00:28:25

should be part of everything because that's how the belief in

00:28:25 --> 00:28:29

Allah is Allah the belief in Allah should be totalizing effecting

00:28:29 --> 00:28:32

everything that we know, if it's only going to come when we pray,

00:28:32 --> 00:28:35

or if it's only supposed to come when we sit and remember him, then

00:28:35 --> 00:28:40

what about the rest of life? Isn't that a place that's more a place

00:28:40 --> 00:28:42

in fact, where we need Allah because that's when you need to

00:28:42 --> 00:28:46

make decisions. So Allah should be there at the forefront in

00:28:46 --> 00:28:48

everything that we do, whether that's something that you've just

00:28:48 --> 00:28:53

received as enjoyment. If you do a business and you receive good

00:28:53 --> 00:28:56

business, you need to be thanking Allah for that. And you'll only

00:28:56 --> 00:29:00

get more if you receive the shortcoming then you need to

00:29:00 --> 00:29:05

realize exactly the the nasiha of today. So may Allah subhanaw taala

00:29:05 --> 00:29:09

grant us that let us read what she had the luck and go here Rahim.

00:29:09 --> 00:29:14

Allah says about this as well. He says it. So this is based on this

00:29:14 --> 00:29:18

aphorism Rabbana our taka from an aqua Obama Mina Agatha our talk

00:29:18 --> 00:29:22

sometimes he gives while depriving you and sometimes he deprives you

00:29:22 --> 00:29:27

in giving the off it often happens that on account of the worldly

00:29:27 --> 00:29:30

adornments luxuries and pleasures that Allah Most like grants one,

00:29:30 --> 00:29:35

one becomes a moderately involved in these mundane activities. To

00:29:35 --> 00:29:39

the extent that one is deprived of the success and sweetness of

00:29:39 --> 00:29:44

obedience Halawa, Iman had our dilemma to the extent that one is

00:29:44 --> 00:29:47

deprived of the success and sweetness of obedience. When the

00:29:47 --> 00:29:50

ego is engaged in the pleasures of the world. It cannot experience

00:29:50 --> 00:29:52

the pleasures of obedience.

00:29:53 --> 00:29:57

When we're so focused on small screens, right, even large screens

00:29:57 --> 00:29:59

when they so focused on them, we don't

00:30:00 --> 00:30:01

Focus on the screen of this world.

00:30:03 --> 00:30:05

So we can't see Allah subhanaw taala because we're so

00:30:05 --> 00:30:07

concentrated on artificial things.

00:30:09 --> 00:30:14

That actually, Allah is saying, look around, but we're so focused

00:30:14 --> 00:30:16

on something smaller, Ramadan is coming.

00:30:17 --> 00:30:21

And that's the time to open up the hearts to open up the spiritual

00:30:21 --> 00:30:24

heart. That's where Allah says, sends it to us.

00:30:25 --> 00:30:31

So, he then says, it also often happens that one's deprivation of

00:30:31 --> 00:30:35

worldly pleasures, is regarded as a misfortune. However, one is

00:30:35 --> 00:30:40

given the success and sweetness of worship in lieu of it. The servant

00:30:40 --> 00:30:44

should not therefore focus his gaze on the superficial, worldly

00:30:44 --> 00:30:48

bestows and deprivations he should understand the reality, the Haqiqa

00:30:48 --> 00:30:53

of everything and discharge the right of every occasion. May Allah

00:30:53 --> 00:30:58

subhanaw taala grant us a true understanding and implementation

00:30:59 --> 00:31:01

of this so that we can actually

00:31:02 --> 00:31:06

remain content with the decree of Allah subhanaw taala here that

00:31:06 --> 00:31:09

we're not until hamdu Lillahi Rabbil Alameen olam and

00:31:11 --> 00:31:14

the Quran Allah on the same as any minor so you're going to Mohammed

00:31:14 --> 00:31:18

Varna and you see that maybe one day because the name Allah forgive

00:31:18 --> 00:31:22

us yeah Allah forgive us God Allah forgive us. Yeah Allah purify us.

00:31:22 --> 00:31:25

Yeah, Allah grant us forgiveness for our shortcomings, our wrongs,

00:31:25 --> 00:31:29

our defects that were excesses of Allah, those we remember,

00:31:29 --> 00:31:33

especially those that we've forgotten. Oh Allah, make the rest

00:31:33 --> 00:31:36

of our life better than the previous part of our life. Make

00:31:36 --> 00:31:40

every subsequent day better, and superior and make the best of our

00:31:40 --> 00:31:40

days.

00:31:42 --> 00:31:46

Our final days, Oh Allah, allow us to stand in front of you. And we

00:31:46 --> 00:31:50

love to meet you and you want to meet us Oh ALLAH contest your love

00:31:50 --> 00:31:55

00:31:55 --> 00:31:59

00:32:00 --> 00:32:03

hatred for your disobedience. Oh Allah make your love Beloved to

00:32:03 --> 00:32:09

00:32:09 --> 00:32:14

your benevolence, your clemency, your forbearance? Oh Allah showers

00:32:14 --> 00:32:18

at the mercy of Allah showers with your Rama. Allah grant us your

00:32:18 --> 00:32:21

light and allow us to see by your light both in this world, but

00:32:21 --> 00:32:28

especially in the hereafter. Oh Allah bless all of those who hear

00:32:28 --> 00:32:31

and are law who are listening to this love bless those who

00:32:31 --> 00:32:35

facilitated this in our life accept us and our Allah allow all

00:32:35 --> 00:32:38

of our permissible needs and projects to be fulfilled and

00:32:38 --> 00:32:42

completed accept us all for the service of your deen and prevent

00:32:42 --> 00:32:48

us from all of those things which are worthless and useless and have

00:32:48 --> 00:32:53

considered time wasted. No Allah grant us blessings in our work in

00:32:53 --> 00:32:57

our jobs and in our businesses and in our investments in our assets,

00:32:57 --> 00:33:01

especially regarding the hereafter. Oh Allah accept and

00:33:01 --> 00:33:04

00:33:07 --> 00:33:11

hereafter. Subhanallah because our beloved city and Milesi foreigner
