00:00:00 --> 00:00:06

Now he says that he's going to identify for us Subhan Allah, this

00:00:06 --> 00:00:11

was the path he's going to identify for us. How to tell

00:00:11 --> 00:00:16

whether we have RIA or not. So how many of us here do something?

00:00:18 --> 00:00:21

Some worship? I mean, we all do worship, we just prayed ourselves,

00:00:22 --> 00:00:25

right? Hamdulillah. But how many of us go beyond worship and do

00:00:25 --> 00:00:29

something for the community? Whether it's teaching,

00:00:29 --> 00:00:32

volunteering, something over and beyond the obligations? How many

00:00:32 --> 00:00:33

of us do that here?

00:00:34 --> 00:00:37

I mean, I can see that there's a lot of people who do that. Right.

00:00:37 --> 00:00:43

You teach you guys volunteer? Right? Come on, tell me who else

00:00:43 --> 00:00:43

does stuff.

00:00:45 --> 00:00:49

Say you do some activity. Active work, is why you do some active

00:00:49 --> 00:00:51

work. Marlon has any Monday.

00:00:53 --> 00:00:56

I don't know what he does, but whatever he does, I like set.

00:00:57 --> 00:01:00

Right? There's our two big brothers here. So there might be a

00:01:00 --> 00:01:04

month in here somewhere. Right? These are all things that we do.

00:01:04 --> 00:01:08

In addition, how can we tell if what we're doing that extra part

00:01:09 --> 00:01:13

is purely for the sake of Allah or not? Or whether we are showing off

00:01:13 --> 00:01:16

subtly even 10% or 5% or whatever it is.

00:01:20 --> 00:01:23

Is we learn here Rahmanir Rahim Al hamdu lillah wa Salatu was Salam

00:01:23 --> 00:01:28

ala Sayidina Muhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi ash Marina My

00:01:30 --> 00:01:35

dear brothers, your sisters dear, dear friends, we are moving along

00:01:36 --> 00:01:39

with the aphorisms of Abner artha Illa al Eskandari. Rahima hula.

00:01:41 --> 00:01:45

If not, I thought of Alexandria. That's what Al Eskandari means.

00:01:45 --> 00:01:51

And we are on page 107. And it happens to be

00:01:53 --> 00:01:59

the aphorism is 160 number 160. This is where he says rubover da

00:01:59 --> 00:02:03

RIA why they come in Hato lions rule halco Lake.

00:02:05 --> 00:02:10

Sometimes ostentation, this desire to show off and be known and be

00:02:10 --> 00:02:14

heard, penetrates you in such a way that no one notices it.

00:02:16 --> 00:02:19

So on the face of it, it seems like you are totally moralists and

00:02:19 --> 00:02:24

sincere. You're totally committed with your single mind and focus.

00:02:25 --> 00:02:29

But only Allah subhanaw taala knows that in the heart, you're

00:02:29 --> 00:02:30

actually doing it to show up anyway.

00:02:32 --> 00:02:34

You secretly are looking for admiration.

00:02:36 --> 00:02:40

Maybe it's because you're a teacher. Maybe you're doing some

00:02:40 --> 00:02:44

other good job. Maybe you're a volunteer, maybe you're a

00:02:44 --> 00:02:48

committee member, maybe your relief worker, maybe you're an

00:02:48 --> 00:02:54

imam. Maybe you're a scholar. Maybe you just helping out people,

00:02:54 --> 00:03:00

whatever it is. So Allah subhanaw taala wants everything for him.

00:03:01 --> 00:03:06

And one of the last things that you can literally take out of your

00:03:06 --> 00:03:10

heart one of the last blameworthy traits that you can get rid of, is

00:03:10 --> 00:03:13

to do something with absolute

00:03:14 --> 00:03:20

sincerity for Allah with no other desire at all.

00:03:21 --> 00:03:24

And we'll see that today. I learned a lot today when I was

00:03:24 --> 00:03:25

preparing for this.

00:03:26 --> 00:03:29

And subhanAllah it's

00:03:30 --> 00:03:33

Allah reward the people Allah reward the scholars who have

00:03:33 --> 00:03:37

talked about this so that we can save ourselves before it's too

00:03:37 --> 00:03:42

late. So firstly, the word he uses ostentation RIA in Arabic Ria.

00:03:43 --> 00:03:47

That means ostentation, which means the desire to attract

00:03:47 --> 00:03:48

attention for something

00:03:50 --> 00:03:53

that should have been for Allah. If you're trying to attract

00:03:53 --> 00:03:57

worldly attention for something worldly for a worldly purpose,

00:03:57 --> 00:03:57

that will be okay.

00:03:59 --> 00:04:02

So RIA is to do with religious things that you're hoping for

00:04:02 --> 00:04:03

reward from Allah.

00:04:05 --> 00:04:10

Right? Whether you're helping out a group of brothers playing

00:04:10 --> 00:04:11

football for the sake of Allah,

00:04:13 --> 00:04:17

playing football for the sake of Allah, sorry. I mean, if you've

00:04:17 --> 00:04:20

got like a little volunteer group, that you're bringing the Muslim

00:04:20 --> 00:04:23

children together so that they can do a sports together, they can

00:04:23 --> 00:04:25

stay out of some other mess and so on. I mean, you want to do that

00:04:25 --> 00:04:28

for Allah, right? It's football. I mean, football is not necessarily

00:04:28 --> 00:04:30

haram if you do it rightly anyway. But you know what to say it could

00:04:30 --> 00:04:33

be in anything where you're supposed to do it for the sake of

00:04:33 --> 00:04:37

Allah, the intention is supposed to be for Allah. But then what

00:04:37 --> 00:04:41

he's gonna tell us about today is how even the most subtle ways how

00:04:41 --> 00:04:44

you can spoil that intention, and it was an eye opener, it was an

00:04:44 --> 00:04:45

absolute eye opener.

00:04:46 --> 00:04:50

So number one, he says, let's define Ria, for you. It's

00:04:50 --> 00:04:52

tolerable mensline The nurse

00:04:54 --> 00:04:55

to seek a position

00:04:57 --> 00:04:59

among people that they're going to think I'm very religious

00:05:00 --> 00:05:03

For that I go out for 40 days all the time I do my three days every

00:05:03 --> 00:05:08

month I'm very regular. I'm an old Sati right which means an old

00:05:08 --> 00:05:10

worker or

00:05:11 --> 00:05:17

I'm a hygiene now. I've done 20 hedge and 15 cameras and I managed

00:05:17 --> 00:05:22

to go over actually twice a year mashallah I go to Andhra in

00:05:22 --> 00:05:24

Ramadan every year mashallah

00:05:26 --> 00:05:30

what cause do daddy Kobe Amylin solder him you're? Now there's

00:05:30 --> 00:05:33

nothing wrong with wanting a position among people for pious

00:05:33 --> 00:05:36

reasons that's fine but this reason is that you're trying to do

00:05:36 --> 00:05:39

this with a good deed a good deed is supposed to be for Allah. So

00:05:39 --> 00:05:43

why are you asking people for that certain kind of radical animal via

00:05:43 --> 00:05:47

Hera Lynas. Now whether that is an action that you're doing openly

00:05:48 --> 00:05:52

to, to actually show people so you're blatant about it. Right?

00:05:52 --> 00:05:56

That look how much work I've done. You put it all over social media,

00:05:56 --> 00:05:59

right? What wholehearted which is usually the dominant way of doing

00:05:59 --> 00:06:03

things anyway and showing off Oh huffy and an Whom are you actually

00:06:03 --> 00:06:06

not showing them? So how can that be ostentation if you're not

00:06:06 --> 00:06:11

showing them if you're not doing anything? And showing it to them?

00:06:12 --> 00:06:16

But your focus is still them? How you will understand this one's a

00:06:16 --> 00:06:20

bit more complicated. So then he says in that case, this one will

00:06:20 --> 00:06:23

be the subtle one, the city subtle showing off, how does that become

00:06:23 --> 00:06:24

showing off we'll see.

00:06:26 --> 00:06:29

And he said that that is usually where, when you're trying to hide

00:06:29 --> 00:06:34

it, the Ria and showing off can still shaytaan will still bring it

00:06:34 --> 00:06:37

into you're going to be attacked from all sides. Shaken was still

00:06:37 --> 00:06:41

trying to bring it into you from where you won't even understand if

00:06:41 --> 00:06:45

you don't know where he usually can be attacked from where the

00:06:45 --> 00:06:48

loopholes are. So that's why I said this is an eye opener for me

00:06:48 --> 00:06:49

as well today.

00:06:50 --> 00:06:55

This one to protect your yourself from the second one is much more

00:06:55 --> 00:06:57

difficult, because

00:06:58 --> 00:07:00

there is a more subtle encroachment in that one.

00:07:03 --> 00:07:06

In fact, the Hadith says that that one is more concealed and more

00:07:06 --> 00:07:07

subtle than

00:07:09 --> 00:07:13

the walking of an ant. Like you can't hear the footsteps of an

00:07:13 --> 00:07:13

ant.

00:07:16 --> 00:07:19

Some of the people who finally had made it and recognized Allah

00:07:19 --> 00:07:22

subhanaw taala reached their goal they used to say that he had to

00:07:23 --> 00:07:27

feasibility RIA even called BB Cooley Halo it in, I literally

00:07:27 --> 00:07:31

tried every trick, every strategy to remove showing off from my

00:07:31 --> 00:07:35

heart, from a girl to whom in Jihad and had

00:07:36 --> 00:07:40

never been in high school, let alone know, every time I tried to

00:07:40 --> 00:07:43

remove it from one side, I discovered it's coming from this

00:07:43 --> 00:07:46

perspective, I would get rid of fear and then it will just rise

00:07:46 --> 00:07:47

somewhere else.

00:07:49 --> 00:07:52

It's like one of those games, you know, you click down here and

00:07:52 --> 00:07:55

something else over you have to kind of click them all down, until

00:07:55 --> 00:07:58

you finally get it may Allah make it easy for us. Another scholar

00:07:58 --> 00:08:02

said that mean other media in general artha Wellman was daughter

00:08:02 --> 00:08:05

our nominal health, very generalized idea. But think about

00:08:05 --> 00:08:11

it. He said that one of the biggest types of showing off is

00:08:11 --> 00:08:16

when you actually see that anything that you get, or anything

00:08:16 --> 00:08:21

that is withheld from you, or that harm and benefits is all coming

00:08:21 --> 00:08:22

from a creation and not far from Allah.

00:08:24 --> 00:08:29

That means that because most of our actions, most of what we do in

00:08:29 --> 00:08:33

life is to get a benefit, or to repair the harm

00:08:34 --> 00:08:40

or to achieve something or to not want something and if we think

00:08:40 --> 00:08:43

that that's going to come from people, rather than from Allah, we

00:08:43 --> 00:08:48

don't think about Allah then that in itself is leading to RIA

00:08:48 --> 00:08:51

itself. Now, they mentioned that there are three types of RIA there

00:08:51 --> 00:08:54

are three types of this showing off ostentation.

00:08:56 --> 00:08:59

It's interesting. The first one is

00:09:01 --> 00:09:04

well what he says is that there's three types and each of them is

00:09:04 --> 00:09:08

going to affect your dean somehow is going to affect your religious

00:09:08 --> 00:09:12

practice somehow the other some of them are just worse than others so

00:09:12 --> 00:09:15

but they all three of them will will effect now think about this

00:09:15 --> 00:09:19

the first one he said which is the biggest one is where you literally

00:09:19 --> 00:09:22

with your good deed, you just doing it to show people I just

00:09:22 --> 00:09:26

want them to see how religious I am, how good I am, how brave I am

00:09:26 --> 00:09:30

or whatever it is in you know in something that requires bravery,

00:09:30 --> 00:09:34

how much I spend in the path of Allah, something like that. This

00:09:34 --> 00:09:37

is such a major problem that

00:09:38 --> 00:09:42

if there was nobody to watch you or to show it to then you wouldn't

00:09:42 --> 00:09:46

even do it. That's how bad this one is that you literally Allah is

00:09:46 --> 00:09:50

not even in is not even a focus here. You're literally doing it

00:09:50 --> 00:09:53

because people are watching. If they're not watching you wouldn't

00:09:53 --> 00:09:53

even do it.

00:09:56 --> 00:09:59

So you only do thicker because people are gonna watch you do

00:09:59 --> 00:09:59

thicker

00:10:00 --> 00:10:02

They want you to do otherwise you won't do it yourself. There is no

00:10:02 --> 00:10:05

connection between you and Allah for any other deed for that

00:10:05 --> 00:10:05

matter.

00:10:06 --> 00:10:07

One is

00:10:09 --> 00:10:09

you do it

00:10:12 --> 00:10:16

to get praise, so it's not that bad that you only do it for people

00:10:16 --> 00:10:19

but this one is you do it with whatever other intention, whether

00:10:19 --> 00:10:21

Allah is part of the intention or not.

00:10:22 --> 00:10:25

But your real reason is that I'm going to be praised, I can become

00:10:25 --> 00:10:27

a praiseworthy person, I can get more likes,

00:10:29 --> 00:10:33

right? Or something like that. Or people will trust me more, they

00:10:33 --> 00:10:38

might give me more loans. They might invite me to the house, you

00:10:38 --> 00:10:43

get praise. And yeah, that's what you do it for. So these two you

00:10:43 --> 00:10:46

can definitely understand that problematic now the third one look

00:10:46 --> 00:10:49

at look at this third one and see if it's, if you can, if we can

00:10:49 --> 00:10:52

recognize it, I definitely recognize this one. Is you

00:10:52 --> 00:10:55

actually doing it for Allah. So this one is when you actually

00:10:55 --> 00:10:57

start doing it purely for Allah not purely but you're definitely

00:10:57 --> 00:11:01

doing for Allah. So you do have a line your mind, Oh Allah, I'm

00:11:01 --> 00:11:02

doing this for you.

00:11:03 --> 00:11:06

But then this ties into some of the other lessons we've had before

00:11:06 --> 00:11:10

but your intention from your action then is that you get reward

00:11:10 --> 00:11:11

from Allah.

00:11:12 --> 00:11:14

Like what's wrong with that?

00:11:15 --> 00:11:18

That you get reward from Allah, and that he doesn't punish you.

00:11:19 --> 00:11:22

He says that still Rhea they're still doing it for the wrong

00:11:22 --> 00:11:26

reason. Because you're not doing it for Allah Himself. You're doing

00:11:26 --> 00:11:30

it because selfish reasons of no punishment, and Paradise.

00:11:31 --> 00:11:35

He said, has a no J, you don't mean YG? This is actually from one

00:11:35 --> 00:11:39

perspective. It's actually a good one. Right? This particular

00:11:39 --> 00:11:42

categoria is not too bad in the sense like it's a good one. In one

00:11:42 --> 00:11:46

sense. My Loulan been watching but remember, every one of these

00:11:46 --> 00:11:50

three, he said are going to affect your deen somehow. So it's still a

00:11:50 --> 00:11:54

weakness, it's still a cause of problem and defect. Right?

00:11:55 --> 00:12:00

According to the people who are Alia, for them this is real.

00:12:01 --> 00:12:04

Like this is pure Yeah, they're gonna say you're still not there

00:12:04 --> 00:12:09

yet. But for a majority of Muslims, this is a class

00:12:10 --> 00:12:14

relatively speaking, this is his last Mashallah. Right? At least

00:12:14 --> 00:12:18

you're not doing it for somebody else. Still, you've got to work

00:12:18 --> 00:12:20

harder. That's what he's saying. You can start off there you have

00:12:20 --> 00:12:24

to start somewhere right? We can start off there. Now it gets a bit

00:12:24 --> 00:12:27

it gets even more sophisticated in Mashallah.

00:12:29 --> 00:12:34

That's why, you know, in the verse in Surah, to falter, firsthand,

00:12:34 --> 00:12:37

ALLAH SubhanA wa Tada says, well, Amarillo saw the whole your

00:12:37 --> 00:12:40

Pharaoh, the good deed, the righteous deed is what Allah

00:12:40 --> 00:12:44

raises. Meaning that's the only one that will really ascend. And

00:12:44 --> 00:12:47

the good deed here refers to the one that's absolutely pure, pure,

00:12:47 --> 00:12:51

because he says was Sally mineralia Eva Hirano Abelton.

00:12:51 --> 00:12:54

That's the one that is totally free of any kind of showing off,

00:12:55 --> 00:12:59

outwardly or inwardly in any way whatsoever.

00:13:01 --> 00:13:04

In the sense that the person who's doing it is not looking for a

00:13:04 --> 00:13:09

worldly benefit, nor for even after worldly benefits, you know,

00:13:09 --> 00:13:10

Paradise or *, he's not worried about that.

00:13:12 --> 00:13:15

Now remember, anybody who's doing it purely for the sake of Allah,

00:13:15 --> 00:13:18

that person is not going to go to hellfire. Anyway, so you want to

00:13:18 --> 00:13:23

avoid going to hellfire, and you want to want to go to Jannah? Not

00:13:23 --> 00:13:27

by looking for those two things. But by seeking Allah, and it'll

00:13:27 --> 00:13:30

take you there anyway. That's the clever way to do it, where you get

00:13:31 --> 00:13:33

the best of all worlds.

00:13:35 --> 00:13:41

Now, he says that he's going to identify for us Subhan Allah, this

00:13:41 --> 00:13:45

was the path he's going to identify for us. How to tell

00:13:45 --> 00:13:51

whether we have RIA or not. So how many of us here do something?

00:13:52 --> 00:13:56

Some worship? I mean, we all do worship, we just prayed ourselves,

00:13:56 --> 00:14:00

right. Hamdulillah. But how many of us go beyond worship and do

00:14:00 --> 00:14:04

something for the community? Whether it's teaching,

00:14:04 --> 00:14:07

volunteering, something over and beyond the obligations? How many

00:14:07 --> 00:14:08

of us do that here?

00:14:09 --> 00:14:12

I mean, I can see that there's a lot of people who do that. Right.

00:14:12 --> 00:14:17

You teach you guys volunteer? Right? Come on, tell me who else

00:14:17 --> 00:14:18

does stuff.

00:14:20 --> 00:14:24

Say you do some activity. Active work, is why you do some active

00:14:24 --> 00:14:26

work. Marlon has any Monday.

00:14:28 --> 00:14:31

I don't know what he does, but whatever he does a lot except,

00:14:31 --> 00:14:35

right. There's our two big brothers here. So there might be a

00:14:35 --> 00:14:39

month in here somewhere. Right? These are all things that we do in

00:14:39 --> 00:14:43

addition, how can we tell if what we're doing that extra part

00:14:44 --> 00:14:47

is purely for the sake of Allah or not? Or whether we are showing off

00:14:47 --> 00:14:53

subtly even 10% or 5% or whatever it is. So these are the signs he

00:14:53 --> 00:14:55

says one of the signs is

00:14:56 --> 00:15:00

that if you're, if you are very active when it's with

00:15:00 --> 00:15:03

When you're with people, and you're really active in what you

00:15:03 --> 00:15:07

do, but you kind of lazy and laid back when people aren't there to

00:15:07 --> 00:15:08

look at it,

00:15:09 --> 00:15:13

or you do a job very well when it's with people, but you don't do

00:15:13 --> 00:15:17

it too well, when you're not with people, or you do it well for

00:15:17 --> 00:15:19

outside, but inside your house, you really messed up with your

00:15:19 --> 00:15:21

family, right? Something like that, then you probably do it for

00:15:21 --> 00:15:24

sure, then that probably that is a sign.

00:15:26 --> 00:15:27

The number two

00:15:29 --> 00:15:35

this is gets more subtle. He says, while you're doing it outwardly,

00:15:35 --> 00:15:37

you're showing it for ALLAH SubhanA wa Tada. But with your

00:15:37 --> 00:15:41

heart, what you really want is that people respect you

00:15:42 --> 00:15:45

to gain respect among people. Okay, not just that.

00:15:47 --> 00:15:51

You then want people to fulfill your needs to assist you to help

00:15:51 --> 00:15:55

you. Maybe to open doors for you carry your shopping to bring you

00:15:55 --> 00:16:00

shopping to give you gifts. And it all adds to that. And then if

00:16:00 --> 00:16:01

somebody

00:16:03 --> 00:16:04

does something

00:16:05 --> 00:16:08

that you think that you are entitled to from them, because of

00:16:08 --> 00:16:09

your position,

00:16:10 --> 00:16:14

you would actually feel really bad if they had any shortcomings in

00:16:14 --> 00:16:18

that regard. Like if they were supposed to let you because you're

00:16:18 --> 00:16:22

an Imam, you're the scholar, you're the speaker. So they should

00:16:22 --> 00:16:25

have let me go first, they should have opened the door for me.

00:16:27 --> 00:16:31

They should have respected me the way they addressed me. Right.

00:16:32 --> 00:16:34

And you feel really bad if they don't do that.

00:16:37 --> 00:16:41

Now, so I'm thinking about my position. And these are definitely

00:16:41 --> 00:16:44

thoughts that you go through. Because, you know, we're reactive

00:16:44 --> 00:16:49

to, we're reactive, you know, we react to how people relate to us.

00:16:49 --> 00:16:52

Or, for example, let's just say it's you and somebody else in a

00:16:52 --> 00:16:57

similar position. And they get respected more, they get shown

00:16:57 --> 00:17:02

more attention. And you feel bad about that. Such that there'll be

00:17:02 --> 00:17:06

people who will actually if they don't get their way of what they

00:17:06 --> 00:17:10

expect because they have a turban on and you know or something like

00:17:10 --> 00:17:10

that.

00:17:13 --> 00:17:15

Then they will actually complain that Why aren't you looking after

00:17:15 --> 00:17:16

my rights?

00:17:17 --> 00:17:20

There was one person who is known that whenever he went to a masjid,

00:17:21 --> 00:17:21

right,

00:17:23 --> 00:17:24

he was a shake of some sorts.

00:17:27 --> 00:17:30

If the Imam of the local Masjid did not make him lead the prayer

00:17:30 --> 00:17:30

he

00:17:32 --> 00:17:35

that would be a problem. Now there's so many times we go to

00:17:35 --> 00:17:38

pray, they don't even know you're a scholar Come on. And even if

00:17:38 --> 00:17:42

they do, why did the Imam is more rightful. Even if he is your

00:17:42 --> 00:17:43

student, he's more rightful.

00:17:44 --> 00:17:47

The Imam is rightful. He's got more right to leave the prayer.

00:17:47 --> 00:17:49

Some of these students would come along and they'd probably tell the

00:17:49 --> 00:17:52

Imam our Sheikh is here, can you lead the prayer and Imams like

00:17:52 --> 00:17:56

look, committee is going to beat me up? Right? Because they don't

00:17:56 --> 00:17:58

allow us to do it because we don't know who's going to lead or not.

00:17:59 --> 00:18:02

And there will be a big issue. Of course not most most people don't

00:18:02 --> 00:18:04

do that kind of I'm just saying goes to an extreme level where you

00:18:04 --> 00:18:08

want your right because you think you hold a position Come on, man,

00:18:08 --> 00:18:11

your position should be with Allah and not with other people. It's a

00:18:11 --> 00:18:13

very humbling thing to be honest, that where you go and you know,

00:18:13 --> 00:18:16

you might be respected in one area, because people know you go

00:18:16 --> 00:18:19

to an area, nobody knows you, like Alhamdulillah sometimes, you know

00:18:19 --> 00:18:24

what, it's, while there's perks in being known, but believe me there

00:18:24 --> 00:18:28

are there are definitely a lot of challenges to be known.

00:18:29 --> 00:18:32

Right? There are a lot of challenges to being known as like,

00:18:32 --> 00:18:35

Man, I don't want to be known any more than this because it becomes

00:18:35 --> 00:18:39

a big responsibility. You have to behave, you have to be very

00:18:39 --> 00:18:42

careful. Otherwise, people, the same people that put you up,

00:18:42 --> 00:18:45

they're gonna knock you out as well. Right? wherever they are.

00:18:45 --> 00:18:49

That's why that's a little help us. Allah protects us, Allah

00:18:49 --> 00:18:53

villas. In fact, he says that some of these people will

00:18:55 --> 00:18:58

warn people who don't show them the respect, they think they

00:18:58 --> 00:19:00

deserve, that you're going to be punished by Allah.

00:19:03 --> 00:19:05

Sometimes the sheikh might not do it himself, but one of his

00:19:07 --> 00:19:10

one of his students are one of the people with his entourage. If you

00:19:10 --> 00:19:12

don't do that, that's what's going to happen.

00:19:16 --> 00:19:18

Now, we don't have to look at just from a sheiks perspective, because

00:19:18 --> 00:19:20

there's few of this I mean, we have to look at it from just our

00:19:20 --> 00:19:24

own perspective, right? of whatever work we do.

00:19:26 --> 00:19:30

So then he's saying that look, if anybody who wants to be seriously

00:19:30 --> 00:19:35

on the path of Allah, Who Wants to Be a Good Sufi wants to be a woody

00:19:35 --> 00:19:39

of Allah in the pure sense of it, if he finds that he's got any of

00:19:39 --> 00:19:40

these in him,

00:19:41 --> 00:19:42

any of these signs in him,

00:19:44 --> 00:19:49

then know that he's a show off? At some level, he's a show off. Even

00:19:49 --> 00:19:53

though this is not something he'll ever reveal to anybody that I feel

00:19:53 --> 00:19:56

like this is between you and Allah, you should know that that's

00:19:56 --> 00:19:59

why I will boycott acidic Rhodiola and others whenever somebody would

00:19:59 --> 00:20:00

pray

00:20:00 --> 00:20:02

use them for something I mean the DUA was Allah make me

00:20:04 --> 00:20:06

as good or better than what you're saying because I'm actually not

00:20:06 --> 00:20:09

like that as well but mashallah, thanks for the dry. I wish I can

00:20:09 --> 00:20:10

become like that

00:20:12 --> 00:20:16

it's related from earlier the Allahu Anhu. That he says that

00:20:16 --> 00:20:22

Allah subhana wa Tada will say to those on the path of Allah, those

00:20:22 --> 00:20:25

who are trying to get close to Allah on the day of judgment, He

00:20:25 --> 00:20:26

will say to them,

00:20:28 --> 00:20:29

Allahu Akbar

00:20:31 --> 00:20:34

once you those that when used to go to a store to buy something

00:20:34 --> 00:20:37

that would less than the price for you, or maybe I'm giving to you

00:20:37 --> 00:20:37

for free.

00:20:41 --> 00:20:43

And so Hanalei, you know, when you know, when you become a bit known

00:20:44 --> 00:20:46

that people out of respect, they'll do that for you? Or

00:20:46 --> 00:20:49

Marshall monitors here, or this guy does a lot of volunteering.

00:20:49 --> 00:20:52

Let's give him something. And yes, you might think this is a perk of

00:20:52 --> 00:20:58

the job. And Michelle is baraka of the, of the work I'm doing. Now,

00:20:58 --> 00:21:01

you can think that if you'd like, Yes, this is just baraka of that

00:21:02 --> 00:21:06

is not about me. A lot of people start thinking it's them. This is

00:21:06 --> 00:21:09

purely baraka of that, but that's not what I'm doing it for.

00:21:11 --> 00:21:15

So Allah will say to them, didn't you get discount in prices?

00:21:17 --> 00:21:20

Didn't people rush to make salaam to you and greet you? Didn't

00:21:20 --> 00:21:25

people fulfill whatever needs you had? Meaning you've already got

00:21:25 --> 00:21:28

your reward. That's what you want it, you got it.

00:21:29 --> 00:21:33

There's no reward here for you know, Allah save us.

00:21:35 --> 00:21:39

La ilaha illa Allah. In another one of those narrations from him,

00:21:39 --> 00:21:45

it says La Agerola. Ko, you don't get a reward here. Callisto fatum,

00:21:45 --> 00:21:47

Would you welcome you've already fully received the reward you

00:21:47 --> 00:21:50

actually wanted and intended in the world. You already got it. You

00:21:50 --> 00:21:51

already enjoyed it.

00:21:52 --> 00:21:56

Abdullah Al Mubarak, he's got this. He relates from one of the

00:21:56 --> 00:21:59

earlier of the past called why people don't wanna pay

00:22:00 --> 00:22:05

for the Allahu, and he says that there was a guy, a worshiper, not

00:22:05 --> 00:22:08

necessarily an island, but somebody who's really pious and

00:22:08 --> 00:22:09

does a lot of worship.

00:22:12 --> 00:22:14

He once said to his companions, that

00:22:15 --> 00:22:19

we stay, we have stayed away, like our effort has been to stay away

00:22:19 --> 00:22:23

from money, and even from children, and so on, because we

00:22:23 --> 00:22:28

don't want to become arrogant and tyrannical. So we've tried to cut

00:22:28 --> 00:22:32

everything out of our life and just focus on Allah. Right? To do

00:22:32 --> 00:22:32

that.

00:22:34 --> 00:22:41

However, I'm worried that we are more prone to being affected were

00:22:41 --> 00:22:46

more prone to being affected by some kind of arrogance and tyranny

00:22:46 --> 00:22:53

and so on, then, those people who have money and how they, how they

00:22:53 --> 00:22:57

may be affected by they may be prone to something like that, I

00:22:57 --> 00:23:01

feel that we're more prone to it than people with money, meaning he

00:23:01 --> 00:23:04

knows his really sensitive position, because you get a lot of

00:23:04 --> 00:23:08

benefits through this. So you're worried that you're going to be

00:23:08 --> 00:23:11

challenged in this regard. And while you're trying to stay away

00:23:11 --> 00:23:13

from that, you actually you're going to fall into the same thing

00:23:13 --> 00:23:15

because of that, because shaytan is there to do that as well.

00:23:16 --> 00:23:17

So then

00:23:19 --> 00:23:21

he says, Look, when one of us

00:23:23 --> 00:23:24

encounter somebody,

00:23:26 --> 00:23:27

he wants to be respected.

00:23:29 --> 00:23:31

Right, once you get respected a few times, you want to be

00:23:31 --> 00:23:34

respected everywhere, it kind of feels very bad that if you're

00:23:34 --> 00:23:35

respected somewhere, then you go somewhere else, you're not

00:23:35 --> 00:23:39

respected, like you get used to it. Right. So then

00:23:41 --> 00:23:44

when one of us goes and meet somebody, they want to be

00:23:44 --> 00:23:44

respected.

00:23:46 --> 00:23:49

Because of his position in the Diem, his volunteering work or

00:23:49 --> 00:23:54

whatever it is, whenever he asked for a need, he likes that somebody

00:23:54 --> 00:23:55

is going to fulfill the need for them.

00:23:57 --> 00:24:00

Because again, because of his Deen, right.

00:24:01 --> 00:24:05

Whenever he purchases something, he would like it that the guy

00:24:05 --> 00:24:09

gives him a discount, or maybe even for free again because of my

00:24:09 --> 00:24:11

Deen that you should be respecting the deen. That's why maybe in your

00:24:11 --> 00:24:14

Joomla Bionz will tell people that you get a lot of Baraka if you

00:24:14 --> 00:24:19

give the Mallanna sub, you know, a discount, or you go to restaurants

00:24:19 --> 00:24:21

or send some food to his house. Not saying that but

00:24:24 --> 00:24:28

for Bella Daddy can medical now the king of that time the ruler of

00:24:28 --> 00:24:33

that time this reached him. So I don't know. He got a whole

00:24:33 --> 00:24:37

entourage his entourage together his whole delegation together. And

00:24:37 --> 00:24:41

he went and suddenly that whole area filled up with people to see

00:24:41 --> 00:24:43

who this guy was. Right.

00:24:45 --> 00:24:49

Now this particular righteous person, he says, what's going on?

00:24:50 --> 00:24:54

All this sea of people have suddenly come because of what I

00:24:54 --> 00:24:56

said. Because everything you say something like that. It just

00:24:56 --> 00:24:59

sounds it just makes you look really really pious right and he

00:24:59 --> 00:24:59

was

00:25:00 --> 00:25:02

Think it sincerely. And now everybody's there to come and see

00:25:02 --> 00:25:03

who this guy is.

00:25:07 --> 00:25:11

So then somebody told him that oh, the, the ruler, he's actually come

00:25:11 --> 00:25:15

to see who you are, he wants to see who this special video of

00:25:15 --> 00:25:16

Allah is. So then

00:25:18 --> 00:25:22

he quickly said to one of his, one of his students, he said, Bring me

00:25:22 --> 00:25:23

some foods.

00:25:24 --> 00:25:30

So he brought some vegetables, and some oil, Zaid

00:25:31 --> 00:25:35

and some other root vegetables or whatever it was.

00:25:36 --> 00:25:41

And what he started doing was that he started stuffing his mouth with

00:25:41 --> 00:25:45

this food in this really uncouth way, I would say,

00:25:46 --> 00:25:49

like in this really kind of wild Behati, you know,

00:25:51 --> 00:25:52

Bedouin way?

00:25:53 --> 00:25:58

Why did he do that? Well, Kulu Aklan and Ethan, not in a

00:25:58 --> 00:26:04

civilized way. But he started doing that purposely. So, so the

00:26:04 --> 00:26:07

ruler, eventually, he wants to come and meet him. He says, Where

00:26:07 --> 00:26:12

is where is this shake of yours? So they said, here he is. What

00:26:12 --> 00:26:13

this guy?

00:26:15 --> 00:26:16

So they said,

00:26:18 --> 00:26:21

they said to him, like, How are you sir? Well, I'm just like

00:26:21 --> 00:26:21

everybody else.

00:26:23 --> 00:26:25

I'm just like everybody else, you know, I don't know what's special

00:26:25 --> 00:26:29

about me. That was to just walk them from this is like how far he

00:26:29 --> 00:26:36

went. To not get the respect that a lot of people now people do a

00:26:36 --> 00:26:40

few things nowadays. And then they want to put a satellite satellite

00:26:40 --> 00:26:43

up in the sky to make a star for themselves.

00:26:45 --> 00:26:48

before their time they want to star in the space for them on

00:26:48 --> 00:26:50

Hollywood Boulevard.

00:26:52 --> 00:26:54

You know, they have stars names. I've been there in Hollywood, I

00:26:54 --> 00:26:58

used to live in California to want to star in the sky. Right.

00:26:59 --> 00:27:05

Another version said that the king asked him like how are you? So he

00:27:05 --> 00:27:07

said I'm fine. So then the

00:27:09 --> 00:27:10

the rule asked him

00:27:12 --> 00:27:15

the king actually remarked that this guy that there's nothing

00:27:15 --> 00:27:17

special about this guy, look at the way he's eating. So then he

00:27:17 --> 00:27:21

turned away. And that's when this righteous person said

00:27:21 --> 00:27:23

Alhamdulillah hymnody

00:27:25 --> 00:27:27

Surah Africa catch 21 Deliver them

00:27:29 --> 00:27:33

all praises to Allah Who who's turned your attention away from me

00:27:34 --> 00:27:38

while you see me in this bad state, and you're critical of me

00:27:38 --> 00:27:42

as much better for me because once the ruler would have seen me in a

00:27:42 --> 00:27:47

good state, he would have started showering his all of his you know,

00:27:47 --> 00:27:49

generosity and everything would have become much more difficult.

00:27:49 --> 00:27:51

So alhamdulillah managed to get rid of this

00:27:52 --> 00:27:54

severe measures Subhanallah

00:27:56 --> 00:28:00

This is the kind of reaction at this level that our big people our

00:28:00 --> 00:28:04

really great people try to avoid it. And these to actually consider

00:28:04 --> 00:28:11

them from basically being bad people if they had any of this

00:28:11 --> 00:28:16

notion in them. It's related from for Dane, ignore era The Allahu

00:28:16 --> 00:28:21

Anhu he said that he used to say that you know what, if you guys

00:28:21 --> 00:28:22

want to see a show off, then just look at this guy.

00:28:24 --> 00:28:27

This is the show. Like they used to actually be very suspicious on

00:28:27 --> 00:28:33

themselves and try to minimize any of this feeling that people have

00:28:35 --> 00:28:38

once medicareblue dinar another one of our great only of the past

00:28:38 --> 00:28:39

he heard a woman saying to him

00:28:41 --> 00:28:44

she actually blades, right, maybe we need a few more Yeah, Maura in

00:28:44 --> 00:28:47

Oh, show of like, imagine somebody comes out like a woman comes to

00:28:47 --> 00:28:48

like, show off.

00:28:50 --> 00:28:51

So then he said to her,

00:28:52 --> 00:28:53

Oh, so and so.

00:28:56 --> 00:28:58

Hamdulillah you didn't tell how many races that you've actually

00:28:58 --> 00:29:01

found the name that all the people in Bosler had forgotten about me.

00:29:02 --> 00:29:05

Like you've discovered the last name that I ever have. So it's

00:29:05 --> 00:29:08

like he played along with it. Because you saying yeah, thank you

00:29:08 --> 00:29:10

very much for that, to put me back in my place.

00:29:12 --> 00:29:15

I mean, this doesn't mean that you go around and act like total

00:29:15 --> 00:29:19

idiots. That doesn't mean that it's just as a large, right? It's

00:29:19 --> 00:29:22

talking about as a cure and as a safeguard

00:29:24 --> 00:29:28

number of other stories that are related. Now the point is that,

00:29:28 --> 00:29:31

you know, you might be able to avoid when you know clearly I'm

00:29:31 --> 00:29:34

doing it for people that that one is blatant, you know you're doing

00:29:34 --> 00:29:38

wrong, right? But it's very, very difficult. They say that you know,

00:29:38 --> 00:29:43

you can get you can find if you're a jealous person, you can discover

00:29:43 --> 00:29:46

much more easily if you're a stingy person, you can definitely

00:29:46 --> 00:29:49

understand if you're an angry person where you got to wish

00:29:49 --> 00:29:53

desire all of those things are much more clear to see. But the

00:29:53 --> 00:29:56

thing which is the most difficult to see because we love ourselves

00:29:56 --> 00:29:59

more than anyone else, is when we showing off

00:30:00 --> 00:30:03

Yeah blatant showing off, you could see that but when it's

00:30:03 --> 00:30:08

subtle showing off, like, did we, I mean, I learned a lot of ways of

00:30:08 --> 00:30:11

showing off that I might even be doing or I might have actually

00:30:11 --> 00:30:16

considered or have enjoyed, right? That I didn't know that that was,

00:30:16 --> 00:30:19

you know, purely that I mean, had ideas I think and notions, but

00:30:19 --> 00:30:20

this makes it very clear.

00:30:22 --> 00:30:27

So, he says, Only the people who are true recognizes of Allah who

00:30:27 --> 00:30:30

truly recognized the greatness of Allah subhanaw taala, in its true

00:30:30 --> 00:30:34

position, those who really have to hate property, who really have

00:30:34 --> 00:30:36

declared the Oneness of Allah and believing that fully, only they

00:30:36 --> 00:30:40

will understand this because Allah subhanaw taala has, you know,

00:30:40 --> 00:30:45

eventually purified them, of even the subtle seeds and the subtle

00:30:45 --> 00:30:50

small amounts of shake. And they just don't care about people

00:30:50 --> 00:30:52

anymore, in the sense that they don't care what people are gonna

00:30:52 --> 00:30:55

say anymore about them, they're doing it purely for the sake of

00:30:55 --> 00:30:59

Allah subhanaw taala because Allah has given their hearts Yaqeen

00:30:59 --> 00:31:03

Allah has given their hearts the full conviction and recognition of

00:31:03 --> 00:31:08

Allah subhanho wa Taala position. So they don't, they don't worry

00:31:08 --> 00:31:10

about getting things from people anymore, because they focus is

00:31:10 --> 00:31:13

only getting things from Allah subhanaw taala they don't, they

00:31:13 --> 00:31:15

don't care about harm, because they no harm can only come from

00:31:15 --> 00:31:19

Allah. So even though somebody's out to harm them, that's fine.

00:31:19 --> 00:31:23

They focus in on Allah, Allah, you repel the harm, Allah only you can

00:31:23 --> 00:31:23

repel the harm,

00:31:24 --> 00:31:28

these people's actions is going to be pure, even if they're doing it

00:31:28 --> 00:31:31

openly now. So there will be some people who do things open, you

00:31:31 --> 00:31:34

don't even have to hide it. But they're doing it purely for the

00:31:34 --> 00:31:36

sake of Allah, purely for the sake of Allah.

00:31:37 --> 00:31:41

Anybody who doesn't get this, who doesn't prepare for this, and

00:31:41 --> 00:31:43

who's constantly looking at what people are going to say what

00:31:43 --> 00:31:46

people are going to do. And that's where he thinks he's gonna get his

00:31:46 --> 00:31:52

benefit, and he's gonna repel the harm, then he's most likely he is

00:31:52 --> 00:31:55

a one who shank off with his deeds, even if he worships Allah

00:31:55 --> 00:31:56

subhanho wa taala.

00:31:58 --> 00:31:59

At the height of a mountain,

00:32:00 --> 00:32:04

away from everybody, he's doing worship totally alone. But he

00:32:04 --> 00:32:07

knows that people know that there's this guy, this hermit, who

00:32:07 --> 00:32:08

lives on top of that mountain.

00:32:11 --> 00:32:13

Right or in the middle of wants to park.

00:32:14 --> 00:32:18

Right? He doesn't want anybody meet him. But he knows that people

00:32:18 --> 00:32:19

know about that.

00:32:21 --> 00:32:24

There's a story that's there's a story that's told about this guy

00:32:24 --> 00:32:27

who was like that he used to worship in a tower, totally cut

00:32:27 --> 00:32:28

away from everyone.

00:32:29 --> 00:32:31

There was once a year that he used to come out.

00:32:33 --> 00:32:37

And that's the day slowly, slowly every year or every season or

00:32:37 --> 00:32:40

whatever it was that people would gather for to get a glimpse of him

00:32:40 --> 00:32:44

the hero, the star has come out, you only come out once a year.

00:32:45 --> 00:32:48

So the ruler or somebody was trying to figure out if this guy

00:32:48 --> 00:32:52

is really worthless or not. So he was wondering, so you had a

00:32:52 --> 00:32:55

discussion with a weenie of Allah or something like I can't remember

00:32:55 --> 00:32:58

the exact details of the story. They said that, look, let's test

00:32:58 --> 00:33:01

it. And the way to test him. Is that a next day that he's going to

00:33:01 --> 00:33:04

come out, you know, the next time that he is his day for coming on

00:33:04 --> 00:33:10

the balcony. Right? What we'll do is I want you as the ruler to

00:33:10 --> 00:33:14

basically put roadblocks up so that nobody within eyesight can

00:33:14 --> 00:33:17

get close and stop. Everybody. People are going to come but just

00:33:17 --> 00:33:20

stop everybody so that he won't be able to see anybody that's come

00:33:20 --> 00:33:23

from his balcony to see who's come to watch him.

00:33:25 --> 00:33:30

So they did that. He came out he saw nobody. he shrieked and fell

00:33:30 --> 00:33:30

down dead.

00:33:32 --> 00:33:36

Right? That basically, the moral of the story is that this guy was

00:33:36 --> 00:33:40

doing it for people, even though he hardly used to come out. That's

00:33:40 --> 00:33:43

how dangerous this stuff is. It's scary it that's how dangerous it

00:33:43 --> 00:33:47

is. And what makes it worse the progress Olson said in the year

00:33:47 --> 00:33:51

zero RIA is Shere Khan, even the most subtle amount of showing off

00:33:51 --> 00:33:55

is a form of Shake, shake, because you're coming you're just putting

00:33:55 --> 00:33:59

somebody else with Allah of what something is was offered to Allah,

00:33:59 --> 00:34:03

you're doing it for somebody else. But it's the one of the most

00:34:03 --> 00:34:04

difficult things to get rid of.

00:34:05 --> 00:34:09

So I guess this is a good start that at least we know what it is.

00:34:09 --> 00:34:13

And we know its various different manifestations and the various

00:34:13 --> 00:34:16

different loopholes. And its various different entry points may

00:34:16 --> 00:34:19

Allah subhanaw taala allow us to be protected because only Allah

00:34:19 --> 00:34:21

can actually protect us.

00:34:23 --> 00:34:26

This is what should have the login go. He says in his explanations,

00:34:26 --> 00:34:30

he says ostentation is to render an act of worship or some other

00:34:30 --> 00:34:34

virtuous deed with the motive of creating an impression on others

00:34:34 --> 00:34:37

in order that they consider one a pious and saintly person.

00:34:39 --> 00:34:42

If a person commences an act of worship, in the presence of

00:34:42 --> 00:34:46

people, or in the absence of people who later arrive, with the

00:34:46 --> 00:34:49

sole desire to create the impression of piety, then such

00:34:49 --> 00:34:52

such as performing the ritual prayer in a beautiful manner,

00:34:52 --> 00:34:56

which is not one's normal practice, when he sees people then

00:34:56 --> 00:35:00

this servant has committed an act of ostentation, which is clear

00:35:00 --> 00:35:03

At almost anyone I mean anybody would know that. Sometimes,

00:35:03 --> 00:35:08

however, a person renders an act in private, yet, not withstanding

00:35:08 --> 00:35:12

this privacy, ostentation still can enter his heart even though

00:35:12 --> 00:35:16

nobody's watching him. Like you think that people will eventually

00:35:16 --> 00:35:20

find out if they find out then they'll think this is just really

00:35:20 --> 00:35:20

crazy.

00:35:22 --> 00:35:25

Really crazy. This kind of ostentation is very subtle. The

00:35:25 --> 00:35:29

sign of this type of ostentation is a man's desire to be honored

00:35:29 --> 00:35:33

when he finally meets others, that he be appointed to a position of

00:35:33 --> 00:35:36

prominence and leadership, with others serving him. When he is

00:35:36 --> 00:35:39

honored he becomes elated. When such honor is not forthcoming from

00:35:39 --> 00:35:44

people, he is stung with surprise. This attitude indicates that the

00:35:44 --> 00:35:47

person's efforts and deeds are motivated by the desire for name

00:35:47 --> 00:35:51

and fame and to gain service from people.

00:35:52 --> 00:35:57

Alone and one Casella. Jelani willing chrome Allahumma Yeah, you

00:35:57 --> 00:36:01

00:36:01 --> 00:36:06

00:36:06 --> 00:36:11

Yes. We are happy we are Salam. Yeah. Latif. Yeah, then God will

00:36:11 --> 00:36:14

00:36:14 --> 00:36:18

our apostates and our weak states of Allah. What can we offer you?

00:36:19 --> 00:36:22

Oh Allah, we are supposed to be your servants. But Allah we don't

00:36:22 --> 00:36:26

act like your servants. Oh Allah we act so independently in this

00:36:26 --> 00:36:30

world of Allah we act as if we have all the power in our hands of

00:36:30 --> 00:36:33

Allah just because you have given us capability to do certain

00:36:33 --> 00:36:36

things. And you've given us good health and you've given us some

00:36:36 --> 00:36:40

wealth of Allah, we think we can do whatever we want and it makes

00:36:40 --> 00:36:43

us forget you, oh, Allah don't make what all the blessings you

00:36:43 --> 00:36:47

have given us. Don't make it a source of burden for us. Don't

00:36:47 --> 00:36:51

make it a source of arrogance or Allah do not make it a source of

00:36:51 --> 00:36:55

showing off. Oh Allah allow us to be focused on you. Oh Allah, it is

00:36:55 --> 00:36:59

difficult and we know it's difficult. Oh Allah bless this

00:36:59 --> 00:37:03

author, and bless all of those who have assisted in allowing us to

00:37:03 --> 00:37:07

understand this. Oh Allah. All thanks to you that you have given

00:37:07 --> 00:37:11

us an understanding of this now allow us to practice this and

00:37:11 --> 00:37:15

purify ourselves from all forms of haram in our life, all forms of

00:37:15 --> 00:37:19

wrongdoings in our life. All forms of doubtful things in our life of

00:37:19 --> 00:37:24

Allah suffice us with the halal away from the Haram and make us

00:37:24 --> 00:37:28

independent of all but you allow us to have pure Tawheed and pure

00:37:28 --> 00:37:33

Oneness of Allah allow us to love your messenger Muhammad sallallahu

00:37:33 --> 00:37:37

alayhi wa sallam and to love all of his sunnah and to be like him,

00:37:37 --> 00:37:42

Oh Allah. Allow him to be our ultimate guide. Allow him to

00:37:42 --> 00:37:46

become a reality in our lives. Allow your love to be the guiding

00:37:46 --> 00:37:50

factor for everything that we do, that we only do things out of love

00:37:50 --> 00:37:54

for you. Oh Allah, we don't do it for any other reason. Oh Allah

00:37:54 --> 00:37:58

remove everything else in our sights of Allah only you should be

00:37:58 --> 00:38:02

in our sights of Allah make your obedience, beloved in our hearts,

00:38:02 --> 00:38:05

and your disobedience hated in our hearts. And oh Allah.

00:38:06 --> 00:38:09

It is difficult. We wake up in the morning with good intentions, but

00:38:09 --> 00:38:14

by the evening we have failed, we have we we make a resolve in the

00:38:14 --> 00:38:18

evening but by the morning we have failed and we have stumbled and we

00:38:18 --> 00:38:23

have done wrong and we have gone far. Oh Allah, allow us to be

00:38:23 --> 00:38:28

close or like accept us or Allah allow us to be close to you both

00:38:28 --> 00:38:31

00:38:44 --> 00:38:48

oh Allah accepted and facilitated for them. Oh Allah take all of us

00:38:48 --> 00:38:53

and Allah allow us all to go. And oh Allah allow us to fulfill the

00:38:53 --> 00:38:56

00:39:00 --> 00:39:04

00:39:04 --> 00:39:07

00:39:07 --> 00:39:11

anybody allow us to be freed from that aggression. Oh Allah grant us

00:39:11 --> 00:39:15

humility in our heart. Grants are sincerity in our hearts. Oh Allah

00:39:15 --> 00:39:20

00:39:20 --> 00:39:24

understanding, love grant us self selflessness, and oh Allah allow

00:39:24 --> 00:39:28

us empathy, allow us to want to do things for people and for

00:39:28 --> 00:39:32

ourselves, Oh Allah, do not allow us to forget ourselves. Do not

00:39:32 --> 00:39:37

allow us to forget ourselves, oh Allah bless us, our children, our

00:39:37 --> 00:39:39

progenies until the day of judgment and the whole Muslim

00:39:39 --> 00:39:43

Ummah and remove the oppression from those who are oppressed,

00:39:43 --> 00:39:46

remove the oppression from those who are oppressed. And Allah all

00:39:46 --> 00:39:51

of the confusions out there about what a human being is and what how

00:39:51 --> 00:39:55

human beings are supposed to be. And all of the new types of

00:39:55 --> 00:39:58

confusions which are coming about and the various different

00:39:58 --> 00:39:59

challenges that are coming about

00:40:00 --> 00:40:04

In the various different forms of artificial intelligence and

00:40:04 --> 00:40:07

various different things that nobody knows it's going to Allah,

00:40:07 --> 00:40:11

grant us a true light and understanding and protect us from

00:40:11 --> 00:40:14

it's, oh Allah grant us our protection of Allah grant us our

00:40:14 --> 00:40:19

protection and allow the insomnia and humanity to come back in the

00:40:19 --> 00:40:23

human being. Oh Allah, allow our compass to become straight again.

00:40:24 --> 00:40:29

Oh Allah, remove the chaos of Allah we are Hi Iran of Allah we

00:40:30 --> 00:40:34

we are bewildered in this time where the fitness come one over

00:40:34 --> 00:40:38

the other. Just like we're in the middle of a tumultuous ocean. We

00:40:38 --> 00:40:41

don't know which way to go sometimes. So Allah guide us right

00:40:41 --> 00:40:44

to Allah guide us right now Allah make us of those who are

00:40:44 --> 00:40:47

permanently doing your remembrance who are constantly thanking you.

00:40:48 --> 00:40:52

The the vicar is constantly in our hearts and on our tongue. And O

00:40:52 --> 00:40:56

Allah, O Allah, we ask that you send your abundant blessings and

00:40:56 --> 00:40:59

our messenger Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa salam in granting his

00:40:59 --> 00:41:02

company the hereafter. Subhana Allah will be caught up in is that

00:41:02 --> 00:41:05

the IMEI of the phone was salam, Al Marcelino Al Hamdulillah.

00:41:07 --> 00:41:11

The point of a lecture is to encourage people to act to get

00:41:11 --> 00:41:16

further and inspiration and encouragement, persuasion. The

00:41:16 --> 00:41:20

next step is to actually start learning seriously to read books

00:41:20 --> 00:41:24

to take on a subject of Islam and to understand all the subjects of

00:41:24 --> 00:41:27

Islam at least at the basic level, so that we can become more aware

00:41:28 --> 00:41:31

of what our deen wants from us. And that's why we started Rayyan

00:41:31 --> 00:41:37

courses so that you can actually take organize lectures on demand

00:41:37 --> 00:41:40

whenever you have free time, especially for example, the

00:41:40 --> 00:41:44

Islamic essentials course that we have on the the Islamic essentials

00:41:44 --> 00:41:49

certificate which you take 20 Short modules and at the end of

00:41:49 --> 00:41:53

that insha Allah you will have gotten the basics of most of the

00:41:53 --> 00:41:57

most important topics in Islam and you'll feel a lot more confident.

00:41:57 --> 00:41:59

You don't have to leave lectures behind you can continue to live,

00:41:59 --> 00:42:02

you know to listen to lectures, but you need to have this more
