AI: Summary ©
The three types of understood understood before Islam are polytheism, forgiveness, and hardships. Polytheism is the most intense and forgiving type, while forgiveness and good deeds serve as expunging evil deeds. Fates and trials serve as expunging evil deeds, and individuals must endure trial and harm others. Investing in patient trials is crucial to erasing sin and causing harm, and individuals must endure trial and harm others.

Now Ibn Al Qaym
is going on to mention the types of
lull, the types of injustices.
Before he mentioned
the most important or the the the the
most intense injustice,
the worst of injustices
is polytheism, to say that Allah, God has
a son, a daughter, or is like his
creation.
And that's what the prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa
sallam, is relating that the statement of Yahya
to the people when he was in in
Bethlehem,
with Isa and the people around him. This
is the first thing that he told them
to show the importance
of what we call Tawhid in Islam. Unification
of God in our hearts and our practice
insha'Allah.
Then he says here Rahimullah.
He said in the injustice,
with Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, on the day
of judgment
will be of 3 kinds.
The type the first type is the one
that Allah doesn't forgive,
and that is polytheism with polytheism.
For verily Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala does not
forgive
the to be worshipped by with or along
something else.
He says, and
this is the type that Allah Subha'ala does
not
leave alone.
He says the second type is to where
he doesn't leave alone, and that's where the
human beings oppress one another.
When he says that it is the Ibadba'lumbala
is when these servants oppress one another or
do injustice to one another. Allah doesn't leave
that. For veiler Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will
set that aright on the day of judgment.
You know, when someone's when someone's right is
taken Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala on the day
of judgment, Allah
will
return the rights of that person to the
other person.
Even, subhanAllah, you know, when speaking about the
animals,
that the oppression of 1 animal
will be given back to the other animal
or the the rights will be given to
all of creation.
And then he says,
and the other diwan, the third type, is
the type where Allah does not really care
about it.
He says, and this is the type of
injustice to where the servant,
oppresses
themselves between him and between his lord.
For verily, that type is the lightest type.
Basically, where you commit sin between you and
Allah
That's the least,
the less the least intense from all these
3.
And this is Asura'uha Mahwan, and it is
the most it is the quickest one to
be pardoned and forgiven.
SubhanAllah. This reminds you of the name Al
Ghafoor
Al Afu, the all forgiving,
the one that pardons.
Right? And then he says here,
So now he's about to he he's really
giving fiqh here. So he mentions that there's
3 types. The first type of injustice
is what?
Polytheism.
The second type is where one oppresses another
person. The third type is where a person
oppresses themselves
by committing
sin, between them and Allah. And then he
says the the last one he mentions this
where we finished is that is the quickest
one that can be alleviated and forgiven.
And then he goes into the Fiqh for
us to understand here.
He says, for verily, it is erased by
Tawba, by repentance,
and seeking forgiveness
and
good deeds that will erase it.
And the this is interesting. This is important
for us to remember.
And the trials or tribulations
that serve as expiation
and similar to those things
that are different from polytheism,
for verily nothing will erase that except Tawhid.
This is important.
So now that he's mentioning
that the third type
is the most forgiving when you commit a
sin.
That third type is most forgiving. And you
know what's so interesting here is that this
is the one that's probably going to be
committed the most by the mwahid.
You notice the first one was polytheism.
Okay. If you're a Muslim correctly and you
practice tawhid, then that is forgiven.
The second is where you oppress a human
being.
Right? That is something that you may do
as a Muslim. We see Muslims do it
all the time.
Right? And the third is to where you
commit a sin between you and Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala.
Now, Lahid, notice
that you may do a sinful practice to
a human being and you could be oppressing
yourself and oppressing that person because when you
oppress that person, you have committed a sinful
act even against yourself. So like for instance,
doing something that that is communal a communal
harm to the community,
Violence violence in a certain area that is
unjust. You're oppressing people and you're oppressing yourself
as well because you're generally disobeying Allah or
performing that sinful practice,
but that sinful practice is harming other people
physically.
And worse than that, it could be something
that is of a creed
that you are harming people with the your
belief.
And that belief that you're telling them that
you are a prophet, for example, you know,
that's where it could be shirk
or you're telling people a type of sinful
practice.
You're calling people to, you know, to to
do,
some type of immoral
action
to other people,
males to females, something that is very immoral.
So you've oppressed indirectly, oppressed
a group of people.
So it's important for us to understand that
these could be joined together. Now
when looking at this, the Ibn Uqayim mentions
that
istighfar,
toba, can erase those sinful practices. So the
3rd type is between you and Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala.
Say you are are are are watching
something that is haram you're watching something that
is haram you're drinking liquor
or you're
doing something between you and Allah and only
Allah knows
that you are, you know, stealing money from
an organization
that you're just, you know, doing something that
is harmful to yourself a sin
Sin in and of itself is harmful to
the self. So here, he says that it's
erased with repentance,
seeking forgiveness,
The good deeds that erase the evil deeds.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says in the Quran.
The very good deeds relinquish
the equal deeds that evil deeds
That is a form of reminder for those
that are mindful.
And then he says and
the
the trials or tribulations or hardships
that serve as an expiation
for,
your sins. The prophet, sallam, said,
The prophet, sallam, mentioned that there is no
hardship that afflicts afflicts the believer
except that it serves as an expiation.
Even if it was a thorn that pricked
him,
will serve as an expiation.
So any trial can serve as an expiation.
But what's important here, it's important to to
note
that the Muslim must be patient during that
trial. They must endure the trial, not face
the trial and and harm other people, which
is the second type, or not face the
trial
and have bad thoughts about Allah. As Allah
Subhanahu Wa Salam said in Hadith Qudsi
that Allah Subhana Wa Ta'la mentioned that I
am as my servant thinks of me.
I am as my servant thinks of me.
And it says
and and such things of that nature. Right.
So it's interesting to remember these three things
are the things that can,
serve as an expiation or cause a sin
to be erased as shortcoming,
which was a a is
seeking forgiveness and repentance, and then also,
the good deeds that erase evil deeds and
the hardships that may one face, which serve
as an expiation.
And then he says the then this is
different than shirk polytheism. For verily, that is
not erased except with
monotheism.
Tawhid. Someone becoming a Muslim, someone born Muslim
and realizing that they were worshiping Muhammad or
worshiping a grave, a person in a grave,
understanding what worship is. That's where it forms.
That's where Tawhid erases that and can relinquish
that.
And then he talks about and the type
of
oppression, injustice
that deals with human beings. You oppress somebody.
You took their money. You cheated them. You
harmed them physically.
Right?
There, there's
nothing that erases it except with
the, giving giving them back their right. Giving
them their right is what relinquishes it. And
then he says,
He says, and due to the fact that
shirk and polytheism is the worst of these
3, they they are prohibited
from entering
Jannah. So no polytheist interest enters Jannah.
And the people, the monotheism,
monotheists
enter
Jannah. It's only for the monotheists.
He says,
for for verily Tawhid,
the monotheism,
this is the key to the door doors
of heaven.
And whoever doesn't have the key,
then they can't open the door.
He says, also,
the one that does that has the key
with no,
ridges,
there it is not possible for them to
open it. And this is very interesting because,
you know, there is
an author,
a statement by a prominent scholar
by the name of Wahab
ibn Mulabbih.
He was during the time of Imam Malik,
in Medina.
He said that,
you know,
that every key has ridges when speaking about
the the statement that
no one is worthy of worship except Allah.
The statement of Tawhid, the statement of Oneness
of Allah.
That someone says when they become a Muslim
even.
He says, yes, this is the key but
every key has ridges,
every key
has ridges.
So that is what we are talking about,
The oneness of Allah in Tawhid, this is
the first part of the hadith. Noticing that
one,
Tawhid is the ultimate forgiveness from shirk because
Allah doesn't forgive shirk
and also the one that commits, an injustice
on someone else that is not erased unless
the individual
seeks
to to give that person back their right
and also the one that may perform a
traditional, traditional, a sinful practice
between them and
Allah. There are 3 things that and more
that can relinquish it from seeking forgiveness, repentance,
the hardships that are faced and that are
endured that will serve as an expedition for
them, and then also,
doing the good deeds, which will erase the
evil deeds. May Allah make us from the.
