But if you do, if you are afflicted with it, then be patient, then be patient. That's why the prophets of Allah said is Salafi, let it pass pile I do don't hope or wish to meet the enemy. So Allah insha Allah is he did not come if your Allah Subhana Allah says if you are thankful, then I will increase it for you. If you are thankful, then I'll increase free. then when the hardship comes, then oh no, you also because the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, the honor of Allah Allahu Farah ha, yeah, if he said, No Allah in terms of ease, and Allah who know you in times of hardship, meaning be thankful, worship Allah, and make use of your time while you're healthy, while you're strong. Make use of that time and know Allah, and take advantage of that time to do all that which pleases Allah. Then when the time of hardship comes along, we'll know you also.
The Prophet salallahu alayhi salam told us about three people, three people
who were
trapped while they were traveling. And at nighttime, when night fell
upon them, they looked for a place to spend the night. And so they found a cave, to spend the night when they went into the cave, a large boulder rolled down from the hill from the mountain and covered the mouth of the cave.
This was such a large boulder that none of them were able to push it out. They were not able to push. And so they were stuck in the cave. So one of them said, one of them said, Oh Allah.
We said no, we cannot escape, we will not be free from this calamity. Unless we ask Allah with our righteous deeds, I mean the pious deeds that we used to do. And so
this is, this is a time in which
They were not able to push this Boulder, they're stuck, and they have nobody else to turn to. And they know that they will be finished, they will die. unless Allah helps them. Nobody else is there, there's no hope except in Allah subhana wa Tada. And so the first one says, Oh Allah, I used to have parents who were
older in age. And so then when they became older and age, I took care of them. And one day,
I returned home very late, because I was looking for pasture for my flock, for my flock. And so I returned home very late. In our house, nobody ate or drank, or nobody had their supper, before my parents did.
They were no priority. And so when I came home, I found them asleep. Because I was late, I found them asleep. And so my nobody ate my family. And then nobody in the house, none my even my children did not eat. They were so hungry. They were in fact crying. But you know what, my parents are always first.
And so he said, I went and I milked, I got milk for them, I you know, milk, my, my sheep, or whatever he had, in terms of livestock. And so he brought milk. And he sat next to glasses of milk, and he sat next to the bed.
He sat next to the bed, and he said I was afraid to make noise. Because I didn't want to bother them and disturb them and wake them from their sleep. Like how this person was. He's so kind and righteous towards his, his his parents, that he doesn't want them to wake up, he wants them to have a full sleep.
And
nowadays, you have many of the children, the youth, nowadays, the parents are awake, because they don't know where their children are.
Not Oh, not only are they bothering, they don't even know where their children are. Because the parent, the children are so disobedient and
so bad that maybe the parents can't sleep at nighttime because of that. And so look at this person, he said, I spent the whole night
waiting, hoping or maybe just just in case that they would wake up. And when they did wake up, they would have their book mean their nightly drink. And so
they didn't wake up until dawn until five zero 10.
And when they woke up, I gave them their drink.
And he said, Oh Allah, if I did this for your sake, then free me from the calamity that I'm in,
free me from the calamity that I'm in. And so the boulder moved. But it didn't move enough, it moves just a little bit just enough for them to see outside. But they could not, they could not leave the cave. And when you reflect upon this, and of course the second person, you can read more about the second person also of what he did. And the third person also, all three of them did that until finally they were able to escape. But just the I'll just give you the example the first one just because of the time restraints that we have.

when you really think about it, think about it carefully. When we were infants, when we were babies, our parents
took care of us. And if they didn't have enough food, or they had the good part good food, they gave it to us. And they would starve and give it to us instead. And if there was only enough and they would just give it to us first before anybody else. And at nighttime.
Anytime of the night. If you woke up that night before they would go to sleep, they would make sure you have enough milk. You know I have a I have a daughter who is 10 months old. And when we when we run out of milk at two, maybe at 12 o'clock, my wife would say you know we've run out of milk. I mean there's only a little bit left you have to go to the supermarket or to the the corner grocery store. Yeah, you have to get that milk going, Man, I'm tired. Can't we just give her give her water?
No, you go get the milk. And I go I get the keys that I drive. At night time like one o'clock, two o'clock. Doesn't matter what time it is. You go.
You go, you know our parents. They did that for us. Before they went to sleep. They made sure that we had milk ready. They had their milk for that night so that you would wake up any time of the night. They didn't complain. Oh Why did you wake up at this time?
No, it was ready for you, it was ready for you, they already did that for us. So, any, if you did the same thing that this man did, you would only be trying to repay what they had already done.
And so, but this the the point of proof here is that in times of hardship, see these people, they may do our to Allah.
And they had good deeds, because they took advantage, advantage of the health and energy that they had before calamity struck.
So when they raised their hands, mountains move, boulders move, and mountains are shaken. And you're thinking about the deeds that you have, what deeds, what can I say? Yeah, Allah, I did so and so. So cure me from this cancer that I have. What do you have?
I want you to think right now. What can you use? And if you don't have anything, then you better start doing something significant, doing solely for the sake of Allah, not for people, sincerely for the sake of Allah. So when the calamity does happen, you say yeah, or law, in miracles will happen.
Miracles will happen. Allah subhana wa centacare when you're sick, says take advantage of your health before you're sick. Take advantage of your health before you're old. Because when you're old, and when you're sick, you will want to do many things. But you will not be able to you will wake up, you will wake up and realize the blessing of the health but it's too late. If you are not praying before, all the Sunnah prayers, you're not in India, now you're not able to pray all the sinner prayers, or you weren't reading the Quran before. And now you can't read the Quran so much because you're in pain,
then it might be something that's chronic, that will last for the rest of your life. Now, if you were used to doing good imagine, even if you didn't go to the masjid, even if you're not fasting, you're getting the reward that fast for the next 50 years.
For the next 50 years, so that's Yeah, to prepare yourself for that also that anytime sickness can come, and that's why the Prophet sallallahu Sallam said, couldn't confit dunya Kanika arriba. Now it was a bill said be in this life, as if you are a stranger, or a wayfair or traveler. Because you're not a traveler or a stranger.

You're thinking about your family, thinking about your spouse, thinking about your children, think about your friends, because you're far away. You're a stranger, you're far in a faraway land, you don't have your you don't have your friends that you're used to. Your family's not there. And you just want to finish whatever you need to do, and return home so that you can be with your friends and family again, you just want to finish because these are the people whom you who you enjoy your time with, and you spend your time with and so this is how I believe it is. They're always thinking about the true life which is the life in the hereafter and thinking about that the heart. They're

And if we do the opposite, then we are responsible and we're accountable for what we do to our bodies in front of Allah subhanho wa Taala because it's a it is an Amana a trust that Allah Subhana has entrusted us with. So if you exercise you take care, you eat good, you take care of your health Be strong, then you will be rewarded by a law for doing
that. So the next time you go out and exercise and say that ilaha illAllah I'm doing this for the sake of Allah in him you go and exercise you will be rewarded for Allah by Allah Subhana for that. And because this is a trust and so if you don't take care of that trust also, then you again as I mentioned, you'll be responsible for that in front of Allah subhanho wa Taala can so our health. Also, Allah subhanho wa Taala will ask us about our health. And that's why the Prophet sallallahu lessem warned us in Hadith and Sunnah Timothy from obihiro. He said, badie, rodilla Masada, he said make sure take advantage to do good deeds. Before seven things happen. Halton zerona, Illa, clemencia are you going to wait until you're impoverished?
That will make you forget Allah subhanho wa Taala. And maybe, you know, when you're some people they are so they're in a in a state where they're so poor, that they can't properly worship a lot in terms of you know, there's they have to do so many things, just to keep themselves alive and just to take care of their family members. They have no time for the masjid. They have no time they have no money to give, to help out and doing good deeds. And so are you gonna wait until poverty afflicts you with a win and malaria, or sometimes it's the opposite. Sometimes the loss of a handle that makes the person very rich and wealthy. And then he says, You know what, I can't go to the masjid
because I got to take care of my business. I have so many things to take care of. And so sometimes, a person who's given wealth, that wealth doesn't benefit him, he doesn't spend it correctly. It makes him busy and takes him away from the religion from the dean. Our model than most Sita or sickness might reflect your sickness that will afflict you, or harm and move near or old age that will you know, eventually will destroy you.

So saved me from the trials and tribulations of the job saved me from the trials and tribulations that I'm in like say maybe you've gone broke, you have no money and people are like after you. Yeah, Allah
provide me with provisions from you. That which is how Allah and Allah will give you provisions from where you did not know before, and where you never perceived. And so, this is, these are the blessings, the blessings, especially the blessings will if you are not thankful, if you are not thankful, maybe Allah subhanho wa Taala will put these calamities upon you so that you will return to Allah
so that you return to Allah because sometimes some people they forget Allah
and you don't see them in a Masjid. As soon as he loses his job.
You see him coming to the masjid every day. Now we can only because he has time because he's, he's sad, he's depressed. And so he returns back to Allah. But if Allah did not make him lose his job, but Allah did not make him lose his job, then you would never see him in the masjid. So Allah is like, telling him to come back. And sometimes these afflictions happen because Allah loves that person. He wants that person to come. But if you're thankful for the thankful to Allah already, and you're always thankful to Allah subhanho wa Taala in sha Allah, maybe Allah somehow say, you know, my servant is worshiping even though he has a lot of money, and he has he has all these blessings,
he's healthy. But you know, he's returning to he's, he's still praying, he's still fasting. Now Allah will keep you with that blessing. Okay, will you remain that way? Because you're doing this anyways. But maybe, what do you see is that you're not fulfilling your responsibilities in worshipping Allah correctly, in being sincere in concentrating on your worship. Maybe Allah will say, you know, this person needs a reminder. Let me just make him sick. And so then he becomes that person becomes sick. And that's when you realize you say yeah, Allah, Allah, Allah and you raise your hands and you return to Allah. So you don't want that to happen. You always ask Allah not to
have that. If you want to preserve the condition that you're in also, ask a loss of how to increase your Eman and continue to do good deeds. Continue to do good deeds, do as much as you can, and even then, you will not have to worry. When sickness does come remember the Prophet Solomon said, either Mattila labdoo Asafa Cotabato, Mr McKenna yamano mo Cayman Saha. When my servant is sick, or when he travels, everything that he used to habitually do will be written for him.
When he's sick, or when he's traveling, so when you're sick, you will still get the same reward, they will also still be rolling, even though you didn't go to the masjid. Even though you didn't fast today, you'll still get that reward of fasting, because you used to do them before. But if you didn't do them before, and you can't do them now, the only thing you have is just to sit there and make dua to Allah.
Your account is not going to continue to grow, your account has stopped. And whatever you need to do now you can't do many things. You can't help people anymore. You can't go to work. So you don't have money to help build the massages in the schools and so forth. Because you can't go to work, you're sick. And now you need other people to take care of you. Now you need other people to take care of you. So that's why the health that we have, don't be tricked by the shaitan. The shavon is deceiving us right now. Just like that old man is taken care of. It's like, it's nearly like they say, it's like taking candy from a baby. It's like taking a Mercedes.
From a grown up, right? He's taken all your time. He every single day, you can have so much you can do so many things to please Allah.
But the shaitan says, You know what? Manchester United is playing Leeds or Manchester City and you're like sitting there your whole time. And you're like, screaming and yelling passionately. And all those times like you will Oh, when the game is over. Let me just sit down and listen to these commentators when they say How about what happened? Where are they at now? and so forth. And so you're wasting your time away. And then when you finish, you go into the Internet, and then you're like chatting away, reading people's Facebook's left and right. And all of a sudden it's 11 o'clock and you got nothing done.
And then you have to go to sleep. Imagine if death came that night.
Or you became sick
that night? I mean, what would happen?
Allah who right continued to write for you like you sat down to to watch Manchester United. I don't think there's much reward in that.
But if you were reading the Quran, if you were studying knowledge seeking knowledge, then that's different. So I know I've been taken a lot of time that's my that's like they say, you know, like, never give a chef. Never give a woman a telephone or a shaker microphone, because he just keeps on talking.
