Once again to everyone.
We just have about 5 minutes today
on a a session.
What I thought to do is
to introduce you not introduce you. I think
you many of us, we have been introduced
to it already.
But,
go through with you
another compilation of Hadith as we had set
out to do from the beginning.
This compilation
of hadith is it should be
hadith that are known to every single Muslim.
It's a compilation of
the hadith of of Al Imam al Nawawi.
It's called Al Arba'un and Nawawiya.
The footi ahadith of Imam al Nawawi,
and as I told you before, it was
a practice of the the Muhadith team that
they would make compilations of Hadith on various
topics of these things.
Imam Nawawi's
compilation of Hadith,
it's dear to us for for many reasons.
Number 1, Imam Anawi I mean, we're mostly,
and Imam Anawi is, like,
one of the main and most influential figures
in the.
So we intended to
do a great degree for our fit and,
you know, the way we
we live our lives, etcetera.
But
more importantly than that, this book,
the and there were it's something that's like
it's a household text in
throughout the Arab world amongst all groups of
people, everyone.
And we should make it the same for
us. Like, there should be no Muslim child,
no Muslim person that goes through life without
knowing this.
Because what's Imam Nawi
has done?
In this compilation,
he compulsory
a hadith
that will give you
a good, correct, and sound Islamic worldview.
Is it you're not gonna teach you in
here how to make salah and stuff like
that. It's not about fit. It's not
it's about giving you
through this Hadith, this for the Hadith,
a complete and holistic Islamic worldview.
And I think that is
that's very important. I mean, it's something that
we we sometimes overlook. We just learn the
mechanics of things. We learn how to do
things, etcetera, but
we don't always learn how to view things.
So
I think it's beneficial for us to go
through these for the hadith. Many of them
will be a hadith that you have heard
before, and there's good reason for that. The
works of of
Imam are works that have been, like, universally
accepted.
Many of his works. You know, when you
come on the camp,
and we give you that book of daily
devotions and all of that stuff,
All of those are hadith. All of those
devotions we took from a book, another book
of called.
Most of the hadith that people
by in large reference,
in relation to, you know, the advices, etcetera.
Yes. They study the the the the
the primary works of hadith, but many resort
to books like,
which is also compiled by
and,
take the advices from me. So I really
feel that this compilation of hadith, that's something
that is
its value is proven by the acceptance that
it has received,
throughout time in the Muslim world, and, it
shows the acceptance of Allah
of this person.
Right?
So
so,
for me, it's very valuable that we go
through these. Many of them you would have
heard, you'll know them as well, but you
should potentially memorize them and teach them to
your children.
As I said, nobody should go without without
knowing this. So we don't really have time
actually today.
Time is up. But there was this really
one hadith. It doesn't require much explanation. We
could speak a lot about it, but it
doesn't require much explanation.
Right? And we know this hadith already.
So we have
here, So narrated by Amirul Mumineen,
Amirul Mumineen, the leader of the believers.
Abi Hafsin, the father of Hafsa, was the
this is the the nickname of Omar Abil
Khatab.
Well, everybody should know Omar Abil Khatab, radiAllahu
anhu, the second Khalifa,
after passing,
one who,
extolled his virtues on numerous occasions,
saying that he was such a person that
if you were to take one road
and and Shaitan
were to come, you would take Shaitan would
take a different road.
Rasulullah would say that if there were to
be a prophet after me, if there were
to be a prophet after me,
then it would be a
However,
Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is the seal of
prophethood.
So a man of
great, great, great virtue.
He said,
that I heard the Messenger of Allah
say,
Yakul,
actions are only
high intentions.
We can understand that in in many ways.
Actions are only judged according to the intentions,
or the value of an action is only
as good as the value
of its intention or the the sincerity or
the purity of its intention.
In many ways, you can understand that. It
literally means
I mean, you know what Arabic
so you can appreciate that there isn't a
lot of explanation
there. Actions are only
So,
it requires some interpretation. Only valued according to
intentions, are only,
judged according to the intentions, are only,
worth what the intentions are worth.
Right. And then he continues, and he says,
and there is only
for every person.
Means a man,
but we know when it's used in general
like this, it will include males and females.
And there is only for every person
that
which
he has intended.
Each person will only have what he has
intended.
Soever
his migration was.
This is now speaking when they left Makkah
to go to Madinah,
and they left behind their wealth and their
family, everything. Rasoolam says,
Whoever
the migration
was
to Allah and his Messenger
then his Hijra
truly was
to Allah and his Messenger
Meaning,
whoever migrated with the intention
of Allah and his and the pleasure of
Allah and and service to the messenger salallahu
alaihi wa sallam, then his Hijra
will truly the reward of his Hijra will
truly be that he will attain Allah and
his messenger, meaning the pleasure of Allah and,
you know, the the pleasure of his messenger
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.
And whoever
his migration was
some of this world.
Means to literally means to take a arrow
and hit the target.
So whoever wanted to hit the jackpot in
some dunya,
he was he he made that migration
towards some dunya that he could attain,
a or
a female
that he wanted to marry. Meaning, if he
left from Makkah to Madina, leaving behind everything,
going to Madina, but he was going to
Madina just because he saw other lady go
to Madina that he wanted to marry that
lady.
But he says, he's Hijra. His migration is
to whatever he migrated to. Meaning the reward
of his migration will be what his intention
for migration was.
Right?
So it says here,
The 2 Imams of the Muhadithin
have narrated this, have recorded this hadith. Who
are they? The first one is Al Bukhari,
and the rest of the thing is his
old name. Abu Abdillah, Mohammed, even Isma'il, even
Ibrahim, even Muhira, even Baridisba.
That's the name of his ancestors,
And Al Duafi is his misbeh, as we
came from.
Person so he's saying the Al Bafari is
his name. Why is he telling us all
of this? This is supposed to be a
book for the ordinary person, any person. Because
he he feels that it's integral to the
faith of people, not just to the faith,
but to their holistic understanding of deen. That
there's certain people you have to know. You
have to know who Omar Radiallahu Alaihiallahu Alaihiallahu
Alaihiallahu Alaihiallahu Alaihiallahu Alaihiallahu Alaihiallahu Alaihiallahu Alaihiallahu Alaihiallahu
Alaihiallahu Alaihiallahu Alaihihiallahu Alaihihiallahu Alaihiallahu Alaihiallahu Alaihi
is. So he
tells
you. Why Abu Hussain
Muslim or Muslim even Hajjaj,
even Muslim Al Qushairi, and Naysa Bouri.
And the other imam of the Muhandithi,
who is we know as Muslim. That's why
we have Sahih
al Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. Muslim was the
name of other Imam of the Muhandithin.
He said, may Allah have mercy on the
2 of them,
regarding
the authentic compilations,
which are the most authentic authored books,
which are the most authentic authored books. Meaning,
the Quran is not an authored book. The
Quran is a revealed book. No human being
authored it.
But he says,
as for the books of the 2 of
them, those are the most most authentic
authored books that we have
with us.
So I think that hadith is self explanatory,
and we don't have much time. But this
is just the first of the 40 Hadith
of Imam Al Nawawi Rahimahullah ta'ala.
I mean, I will usually read it, and
his commentary is in Arabic, but I just
downloaded a, an English
commentary on it of, another great scholar,
which
I will
possibly send to everyone, Inshallah,
or ask to send it.
It's a English commentary on on this hadith.
I haven't,
actually
read this comment yet, but,
maybe I'll just flip through it and then
decide whether to send it or not.
But, we end it for now. May Allah
make us people who who shape our world
according to these teachings of these Hadith
that,
for us, intention always comes first. It's foremost
and,
and and of prime importance in our minds
in relation to everything we do.
And, we have an opportunity to exercise
this very shortly. The month of Ramadan is
coming. What are our intentions for the month
of Ramadan?
What are our intentions for the month of
Ramadan? There's maybe another book I must introduce
you to, perhaps next week, inshallah. A book
called Some scholars,
they would have attitude, like, for every action.
So there's a book like that. So one
scholar compiled the book called
Literally,
he has different actions that people do
normally. And then he lists good that you
can have when doing that. When you get
married, what can you have? When you drink
coffee, what can you have when you all
of those things. So,
perhaps I'll send that to you next week
inshallah.
We're in there for now.
Let's have good going to the month of
Ramadan,
and,
let's not just have good Let's have many,
many good
Sincere, pure.
And perhaps Allah
will actualize them and and bring them to
fruition for us.
Any questions or anything before I go?
What is really quiet today? Both glasses.
It's okay.
