inna amrahu kullahu lahu khair.

Indeed all of his affairs are good for

him wa laysa dhalika li ahadin illa lil

mu'min.

And that virtue belongs to none other than

the believer.

How amazing are the affairs of a believer.

All of his affairs are good for him.

And that virtue does not belong to anyone

In another narration Rasulullah S.A.W. says

00:16:06 --> 00:16:11

whoever makes his concern, one concern Allah SWT

00:16:11 --> 00:16:14

will gather for him his affairs جَمَعَ اللَّهُ

00:16:14 --> 00:16:18

شَمْلَهُ Allah SWT will gather for him his

00:16:18 --> 00:16:24

affairs Allah SWT will see to his needs

00:16:24 --> 00:16:26

of this dunya Allah SWT will gather for

00:16:26 --> 00:16:30

him his affairs and Allah SWT will place

00:16:30 --> 00:16:35

his wealth in his heart Allah SWT will

00:16:35 --> 00:16:39

place his wealth in his heart وَجَعَلَ غِنَاهُ

00:16:39 --> 00:16:41

فِي قَلْبِهِ What does that mean?

00:16:43 --> 00:16:46

That Allah SWT will see to his needs

00:16:46 --> 00:16:52

Allah SWT will gather his affairs Meaning when

00:16:52 --> 00:16:54

he doesn't have things of this dunya, it's

00:16:54 --> 00:16:56

not gonna feel as if the whole world

00:16:56 --> 00:16:59

is falling apart When he has and when

00:16:59 --> 00:17:01

he doesn't have he'll have his act in

00:17:01 --> 00:17:03

order, his life will feel together he won't

00:17:03 --> 00:17:06

feel stressed and depressed on account of it

00:17:06 --> 00:17:09

Yes there's clinical depression, we're not talking about

00:17:09 --> 00:17:12

that We're talking about pressures that come upon

00:17:12 --> 00:17:14

people that they find overbearing on account of

00:17:14 --> 00:17:21

material circumstances Allah SWT will gather for him

00:17:21 --> 00:17:23

his affairs and this you find in the

00:17:23 --> 00:17:26

true believers no matter how much difficulty they

00:17:26 --> 00:17:31

are under they still find contentment that Allah

00:17:31 --> 00:17:35

SWT is pleased with them and again because

00:17:35 --> 00:17:36

of the circumstances I want to take lesson

00:17:36 --> 00:17:39

in the likes of our Ghazan brothers What

00:17:39 --> 00:17:40

is that?

00:17:40 --> 00:17:42

Bombs are falling upon them 70% of

00:17:42 --> 00:17:47

the buildings of Gaza are flattened 80%

00:17:47 --> 00:17:52

of the commercial buildings are destroyed According to

00:17:52 --> 00:17:56

the Palestinian Ministry of Health About 42,409

00:17:56 --> 00:17:59

people have been killed About 99,000 and

00:17:59 --> 00:18:02

something injured Many more under the rubble The

00:18:02 --> 00:18:04

eventual death toll is projected to be something

00:18:04 --> 00:18:12

like 180,000 Can you fathom that?

00:18:16 --> 00:18:18

I mean we find it difficult when one

00:18:18 --> 00:18:21

member of our family passes away and sometimes

00:18:21 --> 00:18:25

we struggle to cope But despite that they

00:18:25 --> 00:18:30

are able to say Alhamdulillah and carry on

00:18:32 --> 00:18:34

They are able to say our children have

00:18:34 --> 00:18:38

passed away en masse Alhamdulillah, this is the

00:18:38 --> 00:18:42

test Allah put us in And perhaps Allah

00:18:42 --> 00:18:46

SWT allowed us to witness that only so

00:18:46 --> 00:18:48

that we could learn this is what my

00:18:48 --> 00:18:52

mindset is supposed to be like Not that

00:18:52 --> 00:18:53

you must hope for the test or the

00:18:53 --> 00:18:56

calamity but so that you know we are

00:18:56 --> 00:18:59

able to use the barometer of our minds

00:18:59 --> 00:19:02

to assess is this where I'm at with

00:19:02 --> 00:19:07

the dunya and Allah And we are to

00:19:07 --> 00:19:11

take lessons from that We are to take

00:19:11 --> 00:19:13

lessons from that But sometimes on account of

00:19:13 --> 00:19:15

our valuing of this dunya, we think that

00:19:15 --> 00:19:18

on account of the losses, we are in

00:19:18 --> 00:19:23

problems But Allah SWT caused even the Ummah

00:19:23 --> 00:19:26

in the time of Rasulullah to suffer losses

00:19:26 --> 00:19:28

like in the battle of Uhud Yes, there

00:19:28 --> 00:19:33

was a disobedience to Rasulullah and that brought

00:19:33 --> 00:19:36

the loss But Allah SWT still decreed that

00:19:36 --> 00:19:40

they were to suffer a loss But subsequent

00:19:40 --> 00:19:42

to that, on account of their willingness to

00:19:42 --> 00:19:47

repent and regroup and fight again Allah SWT

00:19:48 --> 00:19:51

spoke to them in words of praise about

00:19:51 --> 00:19:54

that And that's the way of the believer

00:19:54 --> 00:19:57

We do not value the world We do

00:19:57 --> 00:19:59

not value our tests and our trials in

00:19:59 --> 00:20:02

this world the way the hedonists, the way

00:20:02 --> 00:20:04

the liberalists, the way the people that have

00:20:04 --> 00:20:06

nothing more than this dunya value the world

00:20:07 --> 00:20:10

We value the world and our placement in

00:20:10 --> 00:20:13

this world with respect to how Allah perceives

00:20:13 --> 00:20:19

us So our question to ourselves should not

00:20:19 --> 00:20:23

be how much material luxury or success do

00:20:23 --> 00:20:24

I have at any given moment in life

00:20:25 --> 00:20:28

Yes, we can work to better that if

00:20:28 --> 00:20:31

it serves a purpose of maybe looking after

00:20:31 --> 00:20:33

our family or whatever the case may be

00:20:34 --> 00:20:36

or contributing to the Ummah But it's not

00:20:36 --> 00:20:41

an objective in and of itself Rather, the

00:20:41 --> 00:20:44

questions we need to be asking ourselves constantly

00:20:44 --> 00:20:46

is my actions that I am doing and

00:20:46 --> 00:20:49

my states that I am experiencing Are they

00:20:49 --> 00:20:50

states that are pleasing to Allah?

00:20:50 --> 00:20:52

My thoughts that I am thinking Are they

00:20:52 --> 00:20:54

thoughts that are pleasing to Allah?

00:20:54 --> 00:20:56

My actions that I am undertaking Are they

00:20:56 --> 00:20:57

actions that are pleasing to Allah?

00:20:58 --> 00:21:01

If I can say yes, yes, yes to

00:21:01 --> 00:21:03

all of those things Then I know that

00:21:03 --> 00:21:05

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is happy with

00:21:05 --> 00:21:06

me and I know that I am heading

00:21:06 --> 00:21:09

on a good way to the good abode

00:21:09 --> 00:21:11

of the Akhirah But if that's not the

00:21:11 --> 00:21:13

case If my concern is not the concern

00:21:13 --> 00:21:15

of the Akhirah What does Rasulullah s.a

00:21:15 --> 00:21:16

.w. say?

00:21:16 --> 00:21:25

Whoever his concern is this dunya Whoever his

00:21:25 --> 00:21:30

concern is this dunya Allah subhanahu wa ta

00:21:30 --> 00:21:32

'ala I left out the last part of

00:21:32 --> 00:21:35

the previous part of this hadith Rasulullah s

00:21:35 --> 00:21:36

.a.w. said Allah will gather his affairs

00:21:37 --> 00:21:39

Allah will place his Allah subhanahu wa ta

00:21:39 --> 00:21:41

'ala will place his wealth in his heart,

00:21:41 --> 00:21:45

he will always be content وَأَتَتْهُ الدُّنْيَا وَهِيَ

00:21:45 --> 00:21:47

رَاغِمَةٌ And Rasulullah s.a.w. says The

00:21:47 --> 00:21:51

dunya will come to him despite it The

00:21:51 --> 00:21:53

dunya will come to it even if it

00:21:53 --> 00:21:55

doesn't want to Even if the dunya doesn't

00:21:55 --> 00:21:57

want to come to him It will come

00:21:57 --> 00:22:01

to him Meaning whatever he needs of this

00:22:01 --> 00:22:03

dunya Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will provide

00:22:03 --> 00:22:07

it to him On the second part of

00:22:07 --> 00:22:10

this hadith Rasulullah s.a.w. says Whomsoever

00:22:10 --> 00:22:16

His concern is this dunya فَرَّقَ عَلَيْهِ شَمْلَهُ

00:22:16 --> 00:22:18

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will scatter his

00:22:18 --> 00:22:21

affairs for him Even though he may be

00:22:21 --> 00:22:23

living in the lap of luxury Things will

00:22:23 --> 00:22:26

seem, feel out of order to him His

00:22:26 --> 00:22:33

mind, his heart will not be gathered وَجَعَلَ

00:22:33 --> 00:22:36

فَقْرَهُ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ And Allah subhanahu wa ta

00:22:36 --> 00:22:38

'ala will place his poverty between his eyes

00:22:38 --> 00:22:40

What does it mean?

00:22:41 --> 00:22:44

He won't be able to see beyond what

00:22:44 --> 00:22:46

he doesn't have He might have the whole

00:22:46 --> 00:22:48

world of luxury in front of him But

00:22:48 --> 00:22:49

all that he will be able to see

00:22:49 --> 00:22:52

is what he doesn't have He'll have a

00:22:52 --> 00:22:55

nice house, a luxurious house But maybe it's

00:22:55 --> 00:22:57

not in Constantia That's what he will be

00:22:57 --> 00:23:02

thinking Maybe he'll have a car that works

00:23:02 --> 00:23:06

That gets him from A to B Without

00:23:06 --> 00:23:09

causing him any trouble But he will be

00:23:09 --> 00:23:10

thinking No, but it's not the Mercedes that

00:23:10 --> 00:23:14

I wanted The person whose concern is this

00:23:14 --> 00:23:15

dunya Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says His

00:23:15 --> 00:23:18

affairs will be scattered His poverty will be

00:23:18 --> 00:23:22

placed between his eyes وَلَمْ يَأْتِهِ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا

00:23:22 --> 00:23:25

إِلَّا مَا قُدِّرَ لَهِ And nothing will come

00:23:25 --> 00:23:27

to him from this dunya Except what is

00:23:27 --> 00:23:31

decreed for him Except what is decreed for

00:23:31 --> 00:23:35

him A hadith like this They shape our

00:23:35 --> 00:23:38

mind as believers We do not measure success

00:23:38 --> 00:23:42

We do not measure success In material In

00:23:42 --> 00:23:46

a material way We measure success in relation

00:23:46 --> 00:23:48

to Our relationship with Allah subhanahu wa ta

00:23:48 --> 00:23:51

'ala And our conduct with Allah subhanahu wa

00:23:51 --> 00:23:53

ta'ala If that is in order Even

00:23:53 --> 00:23:55

if bombs are raining down on us Even

00:23:55 --> 00:23:58

if our brethren are being killed As long

00:23:58 --> 00:24:02

as we are undertaking The appropriate action Then

00:24:02 --> 00:24:05

we are successful Then there is only two

00:24:05 --> 00:24:09

outcomes for us There is only victory Or

00:24:09 --> 00:24:12

there is martyrdom But there is no loss

00:24:12 --> 00:24:17

for the believer And so when we hear

00:24:17 --> 00:24:19

these stories That come out and we hear

00:24:19 --> 00:24:21

these things That dishearten us Rather than letting

00:24:21 --> 00:24:23

them dishearten us We should say like the

00:24:23 --> 00:24:28

believer said هَذَا مَا وَعَدَنَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَصَدَقَ

00:24:28 --> 00:24:31

اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ This is what Allah promised us

00:24:31 --> 00:24:33

And they have proven true in their promise

00:24:33 --> 00:24:35

And this must increase us only in faith

00:24:35 --> 00:24:37

This must increase us in faith And it

00:24:37 --> 00:24:41

must increase us in action You know what

00:24:41 --> 00:24:45

made me so proud This week My child

Who was five years old at school They

00:24:47 --> 00:24:53

were painting a Palestinian flag And then they

00:24:54 --> 00:24:55

five years old so the teacher wrote their

00:24:55 --> 00:24:59

name So he told the teacher This was

00:24:59 --> 00:25:01

before last night He told the teacher Can

00:25:01 --> 00:25:07

00:25:07 --> 00:25:09

you write on my flag His name is

00:25:09 --> 00:25:11

Muhammad Yahya You wouldn't get it if you

00:25:11 --> 00:25:14

didn't know that His name is Muhammad Yahya

So he asked the teacher Can you write

00:25:16 --> 00:25:23

is That whilst we nurture our own states

00:25:26 --> 00:25:29

Of confidence and of victory If we are

00:25:29 --> 00:25:32

living our lives Good with Allah Then we

00:25:32 --> 00:25:34

must nurture our next generation To be more

00:25:34 --> 00:25:37

detached from this We must nurture our next

00:25:37 --> 00:25:41

generation To not be the ones whose only

00:25:41 --> 00:25:43

hope Is to make dua and to spend

00:25:45 --> 00:25:48

We must nurture our next generation So that

00:25:48 --> 00:25:52

their action Is geared towards gaining victory For

00:25:52 --> 00:25:56

this ummah in every way May Allah accept

00:25:56 --> 00:25:59

us May Allah accept our brethren May Allah

00:25:59 --> 00:26:01

let them never lose heart May Allah grant

00:26:01 --> 00:26:04

them victory May Allah enable us To be

00:26:04 --> 00:26:07

of aid to their victory May Allah never

00:26:07 --> 00:26:11

let us be weak May Allah Gather our

00:26:11 --> 00:26:15

affairs May Allah grant us contentment May Allah

00:26:15 --> 00:26:18

grant us victory In every way May Allah

00:26:18 --> 00:26:21

let the enemy Perish at our hands May

00:26:21 --> 00:26:25

Allah free Majlul Aqsa May Allah relieve our

00:26:25 --> 00:26:27

brethren Of all of their suffering May Allah

00:26:27 --> 00:26:30

make us the ones to carry their burdens

00:26:30 --> 00:26:32

When the moment comes For us to contribute

00:26:32 --> 00:26:35

in meaningful ways And in difficult ways May

00:26:35 --> 00:26:37

Allah let us be ready
