Another beautiful day in this beautiful
auspicious
great month,
the month of Ramadan,
a month of hope,
a month of opportunities,
a month which
takes much from us
physically
and gives back so much spiritually
and emotionally.
The Prophet
is reported to have said on the authority
of Anas
Have suhoor. Have the morning
meal
for
in it, there is barakah.
The life of a Muslim
as a prophet prayed
for Barakah
in the early
hours
of the morning of a Muslim.
So when a Muslim wakes up during the
month of Ramadan
and he has this meal,
he forces himself because not everybody
is a breakfast person.
The prophet
speaks about this concept
of suhoor
being one of Barakah.
What is Barakah?
Barakah,
as the scholars explained to us, it's an
increase in goodness.
Standing
up half an hour before fajr, 40 minutes
before fajr,
affords you the opportunity
to be awake in the last
3rd of the night.
A portion of the night in which Allah
readily
accepts
your dua.
Beside being
a time for a meal and a time
to sit around the table with the family,
It's that moment in time
where we have to share
with Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala.
Allah
calls out
to his slaves
and says, who wishes to be forgiven
so that I may forgive him?
And so inshallah to Allah,
when we make our intention
to fast tomorrow,
though we did not have the intention
to make the suhoor
and have a meal,
do it for the sake of Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala.
Do it because it is a sunnah of
Rasulullah salallahu alaihi wa salam.
Do it because the prophet salallahu alaihi wa
salam guarantees for
you barakah
once
we do it. We pray that Allah
grants us the understanding
and the ability to practice
This Ramadan,
do more.
SANTAV,
changing lives through development and relief.
