For a religious person, right?
For a religious person, their entire life, especially
if it's a monotheistic religious person, their entire
life is a conversation with God.
And to have specific moments, specific practices in
which you actively communicate, I would say that
for somebody who is carrying that belief, believes
in God, has that perspective, it would be
therapeutic.
It would be therapeutic.
And then to understand the responses that we
get with respect to this communication, Now,
is that me leading into that situation?
See, for somebody who's already carrying that belief
that their life is a conversation with God
and that he does communicate through signs with
individuals to believe that the responses are coming
from an individual God, it carries a whole
different meaning than simply saying that this is
self-talk.
Yes, auto-suggestion.
It's a whole different understanding.
God is a figment of our imagination.
Conversation can go in a very different direction.
We can talk about the reality of God
and all of that, but obviously not the
time to do that just now.
But as a religious person, we will understand
that this is a real conversation.
Something dawned on me.
It lights up the aha moments in such
conversations and we feel that this is what
God wants us to do.
This is where my heart is intended towards.
To understand that yes, those can be signs
from God and these are ways that He
interacts with us, communicates to us through our
life events, through things that happen.
But we are just as likely to misinterpret
those signs.
