It is a disease that our prophets or some warned about, that we emphasize and concentrate on the faults of others, anybody who makes it a priority to talk about other people and neglect himself. This is what the verse is talking about. And our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said it was authentic. He said, Oh, those of you who have outwardly
accepted Islam, and the man is not in your hearts, be careful, and do not speak ill of the Muslims, nor follow the mistakes of the Muslims. Were not the typical rotten Muslim men do not go and follow their mistakes. For whoever follows the mistakes of his brothers, Allah subhanho wa Taala will follow his mistakes, and Allah will humiliate him even if he is in the privacy of his house. This is a severe warning. Yes, you always work on yourself. But the fact that you're still working on yourself, you're a work in progress should not stop you from trying to work on other people as well.
