Shaykh Yasir acquaints us with some specific duas from the Qur’an and Sunnah. The first in this series is the dua of Adam [AS].
“قَالَا رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا وَإِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ”
They said, “Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.”
[Surah Al A’raf, 7:23]
The first act that Adam [AS] did of worship was making dua. Dua is the essence of worship. Only the true believer makes dua to Allah.
The Shaykh explicitly narrates the meaning of this dua – who we are calling, acknowledging our own shortcomings and much more.
The conversation discusses the actions of Jesus during the first draft of the Bible, including his actions during the first act of worship and the importance of practicing the law. It also emphasizes the need for practicing the law and practicing it in order to achieve a sense of optimism and success. The speakers discuss the meaning of Islam, including the first action of worship, the importance of forgiveness, and the need for deeds to eliminate debt. They use the two hours in their routine to use these deeds.

But your brothers and sisters, I'd like you to imagine the reality of our father Adam alayhis
salaam. How blessed and fortunate was Adam, that Allah created him with his own two hands. And Allah
subhanho wa Taala spoke with him directly. And Allah subhana wa tada told them to enter agenda him
and our mother Hawa to eat and drink bountifully and plentiful Li and Allah subhana wa tada blessed
him with Jenna immediately. And he lived there for many, many centuries. We don't know how long
there is no time and Jenna. And Allah just said to him, don't eat up this one tree. But Adam being
Adam, and we are all the children of Adam, he slipped and he ate of that tree. And he suffered the
00:01:19 -->
00:01:39
consequences of that. Imagine my dear brothers and sisters being in the shoes of our father Adam.
Imagine the shame that he would have felt after all that Allah has blessed him with after giving him
Jenna. After creating it with his own two hands and speaking directly with him.
00:01:40 -->
00:02:32
Adam fell into that sin. And Allah told Adam to come down to this earth. Adam did not know how to
eat and drink from this earth. Adam had never tasted pain. He had never tasted anguish. He had never
experienced fear. And he is thrown into the wilderness of this world after having been in genda. And
worse than the wilderness of this world was the feeling of being alone was the feeling of having
fallen into disfavor after having been in favor. So how did Adam alayhis salam return into the fold
of Allah's mercy? Allah tells us in the Koran, foot lock, or the movie Robbie Karima, we recited it
today. A law taught Adam Kelly Matt, some words, a lot taught Adam some kalimat fatawa la and so
00:02:32 -->
00:03:08
Allah accepted the repentance of our father, Adam, Adam symbolizes all of us. We are all following
in the footsteps of Adam. Every time we commit a sin, we should think of our father Adam, after all
that Allah has given us all of the favors and blessings that we have, and yet we still turn away
from Allah. In spite of and despite of each and every blessing. We still sin. How can we get back
into favor? Allah subhana wa tada tells us to make dua to him for tele

therapy curry Martin fatale. Adam was taught certain words What are those words? It is mentioned in
Surah. Two out of all the robina Valentina and fusina were in dental filling Lana, what are Hamner
then akuna nominal hos eating, these are the words that Allah taught to our father are demanding his
solemn and therefore from this insha Allah this series Ramadan will be two hours from the Quran or
onic to us. What can we learn from the doors within the Koran? How can we benefit from those doors
that are mentioned in our book and the two hours that a lot taught us to say in the Quran? And we
begin with the first draft, which is the drama of Adam alayhis salaam, Fatah de Muro de Cali, Matt,
00:03:56 -->
00:04:41
Paula robina of alumna and fusina. We're in them tell fildena What are Hamner then akun in the
middle hos Eden, it can be argued My dear brothers and sisters, that the first real act of worship
that Adam did even before sought out there was no zecca there is no hedge even before fasting. The
first action of worship that Adam did was not to making dua to Allah subhana wa tada there was no
Eva in Jenna, you don't do it by the engine. Now that he's been expelled from Jenna and he is on
this earth. What is the first action that the first human being did that can be considered an action
of a body, it is the action of law, and therefore do are is the essence of worship as a prophet
00:04:41 -->
00:04:59
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said da is more and more means the backbone it means the essence do i is
the essence of worship. Allah says in the Quran, we'll call her up Boko Moroni, as your Lord has
said make dua to me. I will respond to you in a lesbian is tech guru Nan Eva.
00:05:00 -->
00:05:43
Do those who are too arrogant to worship Me shall enter jahannam humiliated. Notice Allah begins the
verse make dua to me and he ends the verse whoever is too arrogant to worship me Do I and worship
are linked together do i is the essence of worship. Only the true believer makes do out to Allah
subhana wa tada and the concept of da is in fact linked to Ramadan as well because in this series of
verses about Ramadan, Allah subhana wa tada says, what he does Allah kariba the need for in need
buddy, these are the verses that occur smack in the middle about Ramadan and about the revelation of
the Quran. Right after that Allah says when your servants asked me about me, then I am telling them
00:05:43 -->
00:06:29
directly I am close to them. Oh gee Buddha was either done, I shall answer the door of the one who
makes do out when he makes to up Oh gee Buddha to die either Dan failure sta je Bulli while you may
not be let them make dua out to me, let them believe in me if they want to be rightly guided. So
this month, my dear brothers and sisters, we will be embarking on a series about the reality of the
law, the etiquettes of the law, but we will do it under the framework of Quranic to us what are the
do as mentioned in the Quran, and we began, as we said, with the door of Adam, and we began with the
very beginning for tele cop Adam and Robbie kalama. How beautiful is it that the one you have sinned
00:06:29 -->
00:07:09
against teaches you how to ask for forgiveness? Imagine you have sinned against Allah. And Allah is
then turning to Adam and saying, Don't worry, make this drop and I will forgive you. The one whom
you have disobeyed is the one teaching you how to x by your disobedience. And this is of the
strongest encouragement, it gives us a man and hope. It gives us a sense a sense of optimism that
the very entity whom we have disobeyed, he is the one telling us Don't worry, I will forgive you use
these two hours. So especially the Quranic two hours, we need to memorize them, and especially the
doors that Allah has taught to the prophets and the righteous, these are powerful to us. And
00:07:09 -->
00:07:55
especially in the month of Ramadan. We need to make those two hours so robina as Adam said, I've
said Robin of alumna and fusina. That begins by saying robina Oh our Lord, he acknowledges the word
rub acknowledges that I am the abbot and Allah is the rub by saying Rob, you clearly demarcate Who
are you and who am I? Oh Allah, you are my Lord, You are my master. You are the one who created me.
You are the one who nourishes me. The word Rob indicates that Oh Allah I am nothing because the rug
means I depend on you. Rob means I need you without you. I'm nothing. So Adam says Rob banner, you
are my rub, vida and fusina. The job begins with an acknowledgement of falling short, I haven't done
00:07:55 -->
00:08:38
my job. I acknowledge over law I am a sinner. I acknowledge I am not perfect, Valentina and
Susannah, and this is the essence of humility. And Islam is about humility. Why? Because the meaning
of Islam is to submit to Allah that is literally the meaning of Islam is to humble and submit. And
the opposite of Islam, the antithesis of Islam is arrogance and Kibet and that is demonstrated in a
police when Allah said to a police bow down was stuck about as we recited today about was stuck
about what kind of mineral caffeine and a police did not make dua to Allah for forgiveness, a police
was too arrogant to make dua for forgiveness, whereas Adam may draw immediately. But I've been a
00:08:38 -->
00:09:21
vada and fusina. So we began the job first and foremost, by acknowledging who we are calling we use
a lot of names and attributes. And we're going to come back to this point over and over again.
Secondly, and perfect to our acknowledges our own shortcomings. Europe, I haven't been as good as I
should be yada by acknowledge I am a sinner, Europe, I am coming to you with my own shortcomings
having fallen short of the obligations. Yeah, Rob, it is my fault. While I'm not an fusina I did
this we ascribe the evil to ourselves. We ascribe this sin to ourselves. Unlike a police who blamed
a law when he committed the sin. He said as in the Quran, that Allah Rob bbma avoid any oh my lord,
00:09:21 -->
00:09:59
you're the one who tricked me. you deceive me, Oh Allah. This is a police contrast a police and
Adam, the humility of Adam with the arrogance of a police. So the drama of the moment comes from
humility called Robin of alumna and fusina. They said Oh our Lord or Rob, we have wronged ourselves.
Don't blame anyone for your sin other than yourself. You have committed the sin I have committed the
sin don't point fingers at anyone else. No one forced Adam to eat of the tree he ate of the tree.
Then he acknowledged his sin of alumna and fusina then what elemental fildena What are Hamner then
akun in the middle
00:10:00 -->
00:10:43
Sitting your robe if you do not forgive us and have mercy on us, that we will be of those who are
destroyed of those who have no hope of those who are lost. Notice here as well. The determination,
the sincerity, the pleading, the begging because you really have to demonstrate your poverty. When
you truly need something sincerity kicks in. You are humble, you are meek, you are asking with
determination. Our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, when you asked from Allah asked with
determination as because you mean it, because you mean it without Allah you are nothing without a
lezama You are nothing. If Allah does not give you Rama, you will not get Rama. So you had better
00:10:43 -->
00:11:26
beg for that Rama sincerely from the heart. The essence of Dharma is to plead sincerely, that is the
heart of drop. Allah Robin of alumna and fusina were elemental fildena water hammer, an akuna
nominal cost 18 Oh Allah if you don't forgive us, and if you don't have mercy on us, there is no
hope for us we will be destroyed we will be lost. Look at the desperation look at the begging the
pleading. All of this is a manifestation of the essence of humility to Allah subhana wa Tada. Also
notice two things are asked in this drop. We're in them tell fildena What are Hamner molfetta and
Rama y. Mo Farah dissolves the previous since mouthfeel. You have a long list of deeds. We're all
00:11:26 -->
00:12:06
entering Ramadan. This is the time for Mo Farah. This is the time for Toba, we began Ramadan with
wanting to cleanse our sins. So Adam alayhis salaam is saying Oh Allah if you don't forgive us,
forgiveness means the sins I have done, I will not be punished for but if your bank account is
negative, and the person forgives your debts, and now you get back to zero, you are zero there's no
positive there. If your loans are forgiven, you don't have any money. You're still kind of bankrupt.
That's why what ilam tell fildena then you add on what Tara Hamner you want more than to be zero
right? Nobody wants the bank account to be zero you want more than just to be not in debt, you want
00:12:06 -->
00:12:43
to have a positive in your bank balance. So what in them tell fildena then you say what are Hamner
and Allah Rama means you will be blessed with more you will do good deeds your deeds will be
accepted so that a hammer will then make your bank account positive. The bank account is not the
real bank account it is the spiritual bank account right so the model is to eliminate the debt you
have done boom you have done sin. Now dorama is to push you forward to get you into Jenna we're in
them tell Pharaoh Lana What are Hamner Lana coonan Amina ha serene. We need both of these for
Allah's monk Farah and for Allah entering genda excuse me, we need both of these. We want our sins
00:12:43 -->
00:13:15
to be forgiven. And we want Allah azza wa jal to have mercy on us. So this is our first day. And
every day we will take $1 from the Quran and examine it and analyze it and I want to share a lot of
data for us to memorize these two hours. And if you want to take notes from tomorrow or the future,
the videos will be online as well. But the goal is that we use these two hours in our daily routine.
Robin Alva and fusina were elemental fildena with our Hamner nano coolant amino acid in alpha one in
hamdu Lillahi Rabbil alameen wa salam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa barakato.
