Continuing from where he left off, when Salman RA reaches Quba, he begins to get very excited about meeting Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and begins his quest to search for the three signs that shall help him identify the Messenger of Allah ﷺ – he does not accept Sadaqah, he accepts Hadiyah and there is a seal that signifies him being Rasoolullah ﷺ.
We now gather valid and essential information about the incidents that transpired en route his way to meeting the Prophet ﷺ. This is a majestic and surreal moment for Salman RA and words do not do justice to illustrate his inner emotions and feelings on witnessing this impossible event.
Salman RA couldn’t participate in the battle of Badr and Uhud because he was bound by the laws of slavery.Then he applied the laws of Mukatibah that were suggested to him by the Prophet ﷺ. But his owner turned out be stingy and set a huge amount for his freedom – 300 date palms should be planted and 40 uqiyah of silver should be given.
The Prophet ﷺ heard of this and took it upon himself to plant the date palm seeds one after the other and by the miracle of Allah bestowed in the hands of the Prophet ﷺ, all the trees were healthy and bore fruit.

When Salman Al Farsi RA was dying on his deathbed, he said to Sa’d Ibn Waqqas RA,” Do not cry in grief or eagerness for this life, but because Allah’s Messenger ﷺ has recommended that one should only collect what is sufficient as provision for a traveller. However, we did not implement his order.

what have you just heard? And my master smacked me harshly, and said, What business is this of yours Get away from here? Like because Simon was assuming he's a normal human being, but he's now a slave. And again, he has not been raised like a slave. This now shows you again, he is demonstrating he is not a slave. And the beauty here, this sign of South Africa, and the sign of the Seal of the Prophets. It was never used by the pagans to test the Prophet. So this is not a sign of the pagans. This is a sign of the keytab. This is a sign of the hood and then Asara who had still remnants from their profits, and it

So he's being very, very clear here. And so the profits are some eight and his companions eight as well. he converted, he has a story and the process have said to me, him Go tell the Sahaba. So again, this is not a problem at all. So I use this to say that, you know, when converts, they get irritated, what is your conversion story, they get irritated. I say you know what, you're not the first you're not going to be the last okay? Even the Sahaba they let love to hear conversion stories, like what is said man's conversion story. What is how did you get this, you know, what not, it's a boost of Eman. And we as people born into the faith, we know this boost. That's why we love to hear convert stories because it it makes us feel that Alhamdulillah good and whatnot. And there's nothing wrong
with that it is a part of Islam. And here is salmaan telling his story as well. So Sandman says, Then I embraced Islam, but my slavery prevented me from doing much. And I could not attend budder or offered some panel. And it's a model of this command has traveled so far and become a slave. And now he is trapped. He can do anything. His situation is beyond what can be done. And because of his slavery, so he's working long hours, he's tired, but the end of the day can only do so much so he could not and of course as a slave, he's not allowed to go fight at bothered and offroad and so he skips but didn't hurt because he has a legitimate excuse. Then one day I visited the pasillo set him
and he said to me, got to Neff sec. And macatawa is again a very interesting concept that just really shows how different pre Islamic and Islamic slavery was from modern Western or the western connotation

And to then build up that amount of money, the price has to be reasonable. And then the hours that he works has to be reasonable, then he will earn his freedom and then purchase himself from the master. This is called macatawa. Now can you imagine this happening in 1850? You know, Alabama or Tennessee? I mean, there's a whole different world from pre Islamic and Islam came in made laws, pre Islamic was around. But the master could say no. And in Islam, you're not allowed to say no. In Islam. It's in the Koran that in nltp Hello, this caller said if you find them to be good, upright people, if you're worried they're gonna go raping, pillaging, plundering, but if overall, the rule
is if the slave comes in is a righteous person. And by the way, righteousness is guaranteed with Islam. And so converting to Islam is another incentive. See all of this, I mentioned this many times that it was a way to basically get people into an Islamic Society, have them see the faith and then convert to the feet. And that's the difference there. So the President said go to your master and negotiate your freedom, set a price. So salmaan went to his master, and the master was stingy. And he set a very high price. Not impossible, because you don't do that. But a very high price, what was the high price, he said, You must plant 300
date palm trees until they are of growing height until they until I know that is going to grow. And that's like a year or two. Okay? Because dates, date palms, they will give fruit after maybe five years. So after the first two, three years is going to be good enough to know okay, you have done the job. So plant 300 of them. So you have to go and get the seeds from my crop and plant another 300 to have a large garden. And on top of that, I want 40 grams of silver 40 oltenia more than grams and OPI is their unit. Okay. 40 Oakley of silver. Now,
we don't know the prices of I should say I don't know the prices of slaves. But from what I understand. This is an astronomical rate like from what I understand from my reading of the Sierra and whatnot, that some slaves might even have been purchased only for 40 a year. And now he is saying I want 40 Olia plus 300 dates and 300 days is labor. Okay, it's not a lot of money in the sense that he will get the fruit the pits from the land, but how much manual labor? And how long is it going to take and whatnot. So 300 date palms, and 40 Oakley of silver, which is a lot of manpower. And a good quantity of money. That's an average price for a slave would be 40 opia.
According to some reports, bilad was free for 40 opia as well. So it's like it's something that is standard over there. Now, he went back to the process that I'm setting man has no silver and 44 I mean, 300 day pause, I mean, he's gonna have to spend years collecting the appropriate seeds, planting them waiting for them to you know, come forward, he's gonna have to wait years. So when he went back to the process of the law while he was selling them, the Prophet sallallahu wasallam made a public announcement and said, Oh, people, Everyone, come and help your brother settled man. So people began donating not seeds, but seedlings. Okay, seedlings and seedlings are basically what
they will do. And we still do this for when to plant something. Those of us who are into these, the you know, having a backyard and whatnot. I mean, sometimes you plant seeds, but more realistic and better. You go to the, you know, shops and you purchase the sapling. Okay, you purchase the small plant, and that saves you the time. Right. And that is helpful for you. And so what the course will do, in fact, with all the people who plan dates will do is that they'd have a special area where they would cultivate
The saplings, then when the saplings are and that's more protected, just like the greenhouse type that we have now, then when that's kind of big enough then they would go to the main yard or the main garden and then planted over there, right? So the Profit System said Oh, people who have gardens essentially give some of your saplings to sell man. So sell man said people began pouring in, some gave 30 some gave 20 some gave 15 some gave 10 some gave less than this, each one in accordance with his means.
Until I had 300. So Mashallah the whole Medina community came to free sell man and the Prophet sallallahu I said him said to sell man, so this must take taken a few days. He then said to sell man, go and dig 300 holes, but do not put them in yourself. When you have finished the 300 call me.
So sad man said my brother's helped me to dig 300. So now all the Sahaba come together. And they help said man to dig 300 holes, okay in his masters garden. And then they call the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and Subhana Allah, this is one of the beautiful stories, the Prophet sallallahu Sallam put every one of those 300 with his own hands, and he covered up and he made to afford 300. Now, I was trying to figure out how long that would take. But I can't I'm not an expert in agriculture. But let us just assume that for sure it took up the better part of a day. Because for each one, he would have to go put it in, cover it up, you know, and then keep on going. And it's
it is manual labor, even though it's not heavy, but it is back breaking up and down and up and down and up and down. And anybody who's worked in a garden, and I'm definitely not one of them. So don't worry about that. Anybody who's worked in the garden knows how back breaking it is to take care of these small things, right? And our Profit System did every one of them with his own hands. panela 300 of them. I mean, I cannot imagine to be less than four or five hours, but I'm just assuming you ended the whole day would have gone. And because he needs it to be himself, the Sahaba can only they said one realize goes that they would hand him. So there's a line and there's like an assembly line.
But the person who's doing it is the professor sort of what an honor for Selma, isn't it right? What an honor for salmaan allphotossee to have the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, plant all 300 on his own, and Selma and said that, I swear by Allah, not a single one of those died, every one of them because not every sapling will flourish, right? Sometimes the sapling will, you know, go down not to single one of them died. But then the dead hums remained. So the 300 is there, and they all grew. So that issue is done, then that there has remained. And one day, he said that the Profit System which was with the Sahaba, and the Sahabi, came and donated a nugget of gold that he had
found. He had discovered some gold and some mind somewhere, whatever. Then, of course, in those days, just like the rest of the world, Arabia did have gold here and there, somebody might have discovered something, he gave a small amount of gold Asada to the Prophet system to do whatever he wanted to do with it. And so said, The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, anal fallacy, where is the Persian guy, identify to see. And so in one version, he said, ain't alpha cL miskeen? Where's the poor Persian guy, and miskeen here means he needs you know that this was one thing his macatawa done. And so they went and called semi because Emma's, not a free man, he cannot just sit in the
huddle and pay attention and take notes. He's a slave. And that's why again, Sandman is not mentioned a lot in the series, because he doesn't have the time, you know, to come and do anything until the fifth year of the hedgerow. When this takes place. The first five years, of course, mcca he's not on the scene. The first five years, he's busy. So literally, he's just mentioned in two, three, as we know, that's all he has in the Sierra, but suhaila What an amazing story, even that little that we have. And so when that small amount of gold came, said, Man came to the process of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and he gave him this gold and he said, go and pay your master.
Now, this amount of gold would not have been enough for 40 years of silver. It's a very trivial amount, you know, probably would have been less than half. So Selman said Dr. rasulillah, how will this pay my debt? How will this pay 40? Will you
listen to what the process did?
Inside says he took the gold and he put it on his tongue
and he rolled it around.
Then he gave it back to Sandman and said, Go, it shall be enough.

I'm going to that I'm going to move on, obviously, but I said in the last lesson, that we're doing some man's story from a very long Hadith. And what's the name of Mohammed? It's five, six pages. This is that story that I've just finished it or translate all of it. And I've commented on it. That's the whole story. Now, this is the version and Muslim remember what I'm not going to read it when I get there, because it's, that's what I've done right now. I just want to tell you, there are other versions as well that have other details. In one version, it says that Sandman went from 12 different teachers, it just says he went to 12 different teachers, whereas the one I said at five,
so it's not surprising. Maybe he had more as well. In another version. The last teacher is a teacher from Jerusalem. baytril mock This was also makes a lot of sense then. Okay, so the last teacher who tells him about the Prophet who's going to come, he is from beta mock this whereas in this version, he is from Cambodia. either case, I'm moody actually. It's not too far from beta mock the so it could be the same and it could be something similar allows origin knows best. So the point being that, that is the version that is mentioned in was 30 member Hammond. Now, Sandman therefore becomes free before the Battle of hunda.

ourselves. And the Arabs had never done this tactic before. And so the Prophet system immediately accepted this strategy. And I have mentioned many times that it is very clear from Islam, from the Sierra, from the Prophet system from the Sunnah, that there is no problem. In fact, it is Islamic to benefit intellectually from other civilizations and cultures. This is a part of our religion. Unfortunately, some scholars are a little bit narrow, narrow minded in this and I've given lectures about this past incidents that have happened that demonstrate the closed mindedness of certain segments because there is a fear when you open the door to benefit from them intellectually, you
might be corrupted spiritually. And that is a legitimate fear. I'm not dismissing it. However, just because of that fear doesn't mean you remain closed minded and narrow minded. the prophecies of had no problem accepting knowledge from the the Romans and the Persians. And this is here he is accepting from Sandman and fantasy, a tactic that was not known to the Arabs. And
again, we went over this in the Battle of hunda. I'm just going to quickly summarize, remember that Medina, was naturally protected, because there were two lava planes on two sides, which cover around 60% of the city. So you cannot have horses marching. And on the back as well, there were certain mountains or there's also there as well, and you have the plains of word. And in the front, where they will be coming from a good portion is dense date pumps. So you can't have armies marching through is basically a natural protection. So you have a stretch that how long is that stretch, nobody knows, six miles or whatever, or some six, six kilometers, seven kilometers, there was a
stretch that would have been possible for an army to march in. And it was in that stretch that they then built the hand up and the hand up. Again, all we have is very vague estimates roughly where and where it began and where it went to. And what we learn from the books of Sierra is that the Prophet sallallahu wasallam assigned groups of people for every 40 cubits every 40 hand spans and in fact, he himself walked in

And then groups began working nonstop to dig, they literally had two to three weeks of preparation time. And they had to dig a hole that was deep enough and long enough for a horse to not jump over. Okay, so the very least it would have been at least six, seven feet deep, and at least seven eight feet wide as well enough so that it's going to prevent immediate jumping over people are not going to be able to come with ease. himself could not accept sadhaka to the end of his life, because he got that upgraded a little bit. Okay. So Selma then becomes a part of the debate and this is of the greatest honors of Sandman alpha c, and essentially, he is the only non blood relative non otoshi to be a little bit because all the brothers to them are either the wives or the, you know, son in law and whatnot and the grandchildren of the processors and man is the only non Arab and non Koshi the wives of the some of them are non Koshi. And then the third time inside says, a light came that enlightened, the whole city. In other words, the spark coming out, lightning is coming out, and that crumbled the entire Boulder, or rock. And when the profitsystem came out, he said, Did you see what I saw? Did you see this as well? They said, Yes, we
saw it as well. So he said, I hit it for the first time. And with that light, I saw the palaces of hospital in here, ah, and muda in. And these were cities of Iran, where, where huzzah, ro had his major palaces, like the white fangs of dogs. And gibreel told me that my oma would be victorious to that over those. There is no goal of attacking Rome right now. They're worried about the kurush. They're worried about the houses in a thief tribes, they're worried about the kingdom coming in. They're worried about the health of fan, the main tribe, the correlation between tribes are worried about the auto fan over 10,000. And here the process of selling them to worry. We've got the policies of Rome, the palaces of Persia, the palaces of Yemen, all going to be in the back, and Subhanallah within 10 years, all of them were within 10 years, and I keep on telling
us as Muslims will lie, there's no question in our minds, this is a miracle. And modern historians and academics are still scratching their heads. How could this have happened? To this day, we Muslims don't understand how magnificent the Byzantine Empire was for the Muslims to essentially destroy it. How glorious the assassin Empire was that it was wiped off by negotiating with Ohio between morning and evening, the whole sassanid Empire, Rome could not defeat Persia for 400 years. And a bunch of literally unprepared peoples. I don't want to use any more harsher adjectives because people take out of context, but you understand the Sahaba were the best of the best, but they were
not educated in this world. They didn't have the armors of this world their military training of this world. They did not have the civilization of this world. Yes, there were the best of the best, but they didn't have this dunya nobody could have thought that this group of people is going to take on the sassanid Empire with its might its grandeur, its majesty, and literally destroy it. Impossible is like in our time
To say that some tribe of Brazil, undocumented and whatnot, is going to come and basically wipe off the Western Hemisphere. It's just ludicrous to think like that. But this is essentially what happened in the course of human history where Arabia in 20 years was united. Whereas before that, just like we look at some of these tribes of African and South America that are on touch, we look down at them. So to Roman Persia, look down at the Arabs, that's this. These are people, they don't even have civilization. They don't have buildings, they don't have language. They don't buy language. I mean, writing libraries, they don't have anything, how are they going to do anything to
us? And this is the predictions of the Profit System. And they all have proven true to us, there is no doubt, this is a miracle from a law, you cannot explain this rationally. And even if you say one was a fluke, okay, because you know, that Western historians, they all over analyze why what happened, there was a civil coup there, there was a general that this there, the son in law went and did that. So they have their theories, and they're all right, but these are ullas ways of causing the Empire to collapse, play, you have one fluke, how about another and another, and another, and another, how you get for how long are you going to keep on blaming every single coincidence, and
this is what we see of early Islam, that the generation that was the quote, unquote, least civilized did the most civilization. And as Islam increased, in quote, unquote, civilization, it decreased in conquering power. It was at its Pinnacle, in terms of civilization at the early I busted time, and there was zero conquest at the earliest busted time, the earlier buses, the palaces, the institutions based on achema, doddle this, you have the universities, where's the conquering zero,
because the world has changed. Now, they're not interested in that anymore. And Allah bless them in other ways. We're proud of that as well. But the blessings that the Sahaba had, and the Tabby rune had, and the temperature of your own had no later generation had in terms of sheer blessings of victory, and the world of Islam as we see it today. By and large, it is the world that was conquered by the Sahaba to the root of a tabula with breathing room here and there with little bits here and there. But by and large, the borders and peripheries of the oma, it wasn't decided by the bosses and the glory of Islam. It was demarcated out by the Sahaba tabula intervertebral, though those were the
people who fought and conquered and wherever they went, Islam spread so that it reached the very ends of Africa, all the way to Mongolia and eastern China. And because salmaan was so much older, have a daughter that was forced to break the fast. Then time came to lay down and sleep and set up with that said, I'm going to pray to you lay down and sleep. And Solomon said, No, go lay down with me. You're going to sleep right now. Then I would try to get up after an hour said no. Now lay down again, until it was only a third or less of the night, only a third coolboxes can even do one fifth But anyway, only a third night. Then salmaan said now you can stand up and pray and they both stood up and prayed. The famous Hadith you all know it. Then the next morning a Buddha complained to the professor said that you made me his his brother

Rather, he must have learned from the Prophet sallallahu sallam, what is Islamic worship, and he did not go to extremes therefore
and he became even more knowledgeable than people who had been basically Muslim way longer than him. And he's teaching abroad that this is not Islam, this extremism and fanaticism that is you're potentially heading is not Islam, lower it down. And the Prophet system agreed with salmaan that don't go to extremes your body has a right your wife has a right your guest has a right give everyone its right give a lot his right give others his right Aaron's liquidity how can how can who again, this is a beautiful again shows us how much wisdom said man had. There's not much narrated about Sandman during the endears of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and then after the
death, not much as it all is narrated, what we do know is that he did participate in the conquest of Persia. And he was of those who fought against his own peoples. And he was of those who negotiated with his own peoples. And he spoke with his own people and how I wish we could have more details. But this is one of our biggest problems of these era, who has recorded these detailed conversations. He was sent as an emissary to dialogue with the Persians, can you imagine the conversations taking place How I wish we had these preserved, and he tries to convince the Persians whether he goes that either accept his faith, he goes, I am one of you know, some of the books mentioned, I'll mention a
short version we have, that I was one of you. Now I am one of them. And Allah has honored me, and they have honored me as well. Just because I'm a Persian doesn't mean that, you know, I'm being humiliated, they have honored me as well join a new shall be honored to or you can give the jizya and you shall be as you are. Or if you refuse both, then we have no option but to fight you. So salmaan became the ambassador, and this is against his own people, the Persians and you know, the Persians, they did not accept any of these conditions. So they were fought, and so salmaan was of those who fought his own people. And obviously, we know the story that in the end, they, the Muslims
won, and the Battle of Odyssey was decisive in opening the Persian frontiers. And salamander the law. One was a participant of those battles. And it was at that point in time where I would say one of the most symbolic moments of the conquest takes place. And again, how I wish we had more details, but I don't even think some of them might have understood the significance or the symbolism, but what will you know what happened here because again, it's just happening in front of their eyes. Sometimes you don't quite understand how important it is until after it happens. And that is set amount or the level one being of those who conquers the muda in the city of Medina and Medina is
the capital or one of the main cities of hospital, where one of his most beautiful palaces was built, and it was considered to be a marvel of architecture. And it's still around to this day, is one of the few remnants of the sassanids of the Persian Empire.
It is still around it is considered to be the largest.

It's It's the largest of the pre modern world, where it's basically a massive arch that doesn't have any support. Okay. And it was the largest ever built, and unbelievably is still standing to this day.

And it is it was considered to be one of the magnificent Wonders of the Ancient World. And it is, you know, it is said that there were rivers there and peacocks and just imagine inside the palace we're talking about. And this palace of course, the structure of it is this arch like the chamber, where holstebro would sit and welcome dignitaries, and there was water flowing, you know, different types of fountains, different animals. And salmonella fantasy is one of those who is conquering that palace and that city, and he is of the first batches that enters. Now
to me this is just again, mind boggling from where to where,
from his own people, right? This is his own land. And he himself would never have had the opportunity to enter that palace had he been a Persian. But Allah blessed him with Islam, and because of Islam, he becomes a conqueror of his own Emperor.
And he walks into that very chamber where he would have been forbidden from going as a common Persian or even as a middle class. He was not he was not nobility. It was a middle class at max. It was a middle class Persian, no way he could have had anything to do with this and now through there is of Islam. And through the Baraka of being a Sahaba of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, Selman becomes one of the conquerors. And then Subhana Allah, He is appointed the governor of the very City, where khosrow ruled sassanid Persia from.
And so that palace becomes the place where sell Man does not live, he does not live there, because he's too humble to but essentially, that is where he conducts his business from what a powerful symbol of Islam, from where to where, and again, to me, this is just one of those points, how I wish we could have recorded, we could have had some, you know, eyewitness accounts, but this is history. So pilotlight is all you know, gone on from us. So Sandman becomes a governor of a medallion. Now, in all likelihood, this only lasted a few years, he passes away relatively early, there are many reports about what year he passed away. 3337, most likely 3738 39, basically around this timeframe.
So he didn't live to see the fitna. He didn't live all the way then. Now again, in terms of age as well. There's like 20 different reports about how old he was a mama that hubby says, I've read reports he was up to 300 years old, but I consider all of them to be just, you know, mythical or whatnot, in all likelihood is that everything in all likelihood, he was probably around 70, when he passes away, normal life, nothing. He wasn't like any, you know, superhuman or anything of this nature. Now, what we do know as well, we read in the books of history that when he became governor, even though he was only governor for a very short period of time, he lived the utmost simple life.
And it is mentioned that he would dress in somewhat of an awkward combination of clothings, a little bit of Persian, a little bit of Arab, so he looked very exotic, like he's comfortable in one dress and having something on top of it. And so the kids would make fun of him. And the Riff Raff would, you know, say this is your immediate dress like this, he would be dressed in the most simplest of garments, his sidoarjo would be going halfway to his shin, okay. And he would have something this something that very, very simple, and when the people saw Selman, they would be shocked that this was the meal because the Persians are used to the fanfare of the Emperor and now they have said man
ruling over them as the governor and he is dressing in that manner. In fact, it beside mentions that a person a Muslim visited
medallion, and he brought some merchandise with him, and he said, I was in the sock with my merchandise, and I saw a man passed by wearing cheap clothing. I thought that he was somebody nobody. So I said to him, come the orajel come help me. So the man came
helped me pick my goods up. And we started walking where I needed to go. When the people saw him carrying my goods, they rushed and they said, Let us help you let us help you. So I said to them, who is this man that I told? And they said, Don't you know this is sell man, the Sahaba, the Sahaba of the Rasulullah, sallallahu alayhi wasallam. So the man said that, oh, so I have rasulillah I apologize. I didn't know I'm sorry. I didn't know please put it down. and sell man said no, I made the need to carry a to your house. So don't deprive me of the agenda of that. So he carried the goods all the way to the house, like with the wherever place they were going. And this again, shows
us the man didn't even recognize who Sandman was because he was just dressed like a commoner or a person without any strong status or whatnot. And we also learned in the books of history that when Sandman was appointed the governor, for the first few, we don't know, days, weeks, months, he was living literally under a tree. He never did not have a house. So whenever his job finished, he would just find the shade and lie down under that and go to sleep there. Until finally somebody had pity on him and said that let me build a house for you. So Solomon said, How big is it going to be? So the man understood. So he said, it will be so big, that when you stand up, your head will hit the
roof. And when you go to sleep, your feet will hit the wall. So Solomon said, Okay, that's fine. The man understood that Sandman does not want me to big build a big palace. So he built him a small little room and whatnot. And that was sand man's house till he passed away.
Inside reports that a man visited sell man,
and he saw some man grinding his own barley. And he's now the Amir is the the the governor. So he said, Where is your servant? Where's your husband? So salmaan said that, I already asked her to do one chore for me today. I didn't want to burden her with two.
I didn't want to ask you to something else. I'm not doing this on my own. We also learn as well that somebody visited Sandman and salmaan was purchasing dry date leaves.
And he asked what is what are you doing this for? So he said, I purchased these for one did him then I weave baskets out of them. And I can then sell these for multiple did humps, and then I can eat with it. So even as a governor, he is doing manual labor as a weaver of baskets. And he says even if a mirror meaning prevented me from doing this and gave me money, I wouldn't take it. I'm going to earn my own money. I'm not going to get money from anybody else. I'm gonna get my own journey loose by selling my own, you know, basket social Pamela, a weaver of baskets, which means at some point in his life, he must have done this for a living as well. Maybe in Iran maybe in along the way. So
that's his speciality now. So as an old man, he is weaving his baskets and selling them. And it is clearly reported many different versions that someone did not like being the governor, he was too much of a burden and a minor, he did not like this. And really he only was the governor for a very short period of time, because he passed away very early on, as we know, of course, he was highly respected by all of the Sahaba. And he is one of the very few of the Sahaba, whom both Sunni and Shia admire. And this is
very few as you know, the Shia only respect four or five of the Sahaba. Solomon is one of them. And for many reasons of them, Simon didn't live to see the fitna. So he's not Johnny, you know, he's not in that timeframe of them as well that because he's a little bait. So he's obviously very close to the law one and there's no problem with that we we affirm the status of elevate as well. And, of course, what the law one greatly admired, said man, somebody asked about sell man. And he said salmaan has been given the knowledge of the ancients and the later and he has read the books of those before And the final book. So Sandman is a person of knowledge and more art, even Jebel the
greatest *ery of the Sahaba. He would only encourage his students to study with four other people. One of them was Selma.
Only four others as they could advise them to go to one of them was Sandman and Amato, the last one. He would give salmaan a stipend above that of many of the early converts, even though Solomon was not an early convert, but out of and again remember Omar if you remember I said this many times on what had a
a hierarchy or what had a very clear amount that he will give Oh bucha will give everybody the same and almost said no, is
Not fair, the people who converted earlier and did more deserve more than those who converted at the end. And this means he himself would be at a second or third level, because he's not of the first batches. And that's fine. So salmaan would get, essentially what a middle level Mahajan would get. So he would get around four or 5000. Some say for some say 5000. Did hums a year. And Abdullah, even Omar, the son of a or what would get 3000 3500 and salmaan obviously converted way after I've done a little bit more. But he has a unique category
as a unique category, because he's neither Mahajan, nor unsought, then the process that he's from others bait. So that was a unique category that actually gave him a status that was higher than that of other people. And he died at the very end of the hill off of idea of sorry, of Earth, Mount rhodiola. One, and some say at the very beginning of the feed off of Ali, and he died in testifying in muda, in the very city that he is the governor of. And when he was on his deathbed, he told his heart and his servant
to bring the most expensive perfume that he had, he had found some perfume when he conquered. And that was his and that was saved in a special place. So the day that he died, he called for that perfume, He mixed it up with water, and he prayed, sprayed it around his bed. And he said to his hadham, that today I shall receive visitors who do not eat, but they can smell.
They love good smell, but they don't eat, and we know who they are. Today I'm going to receive visitors, you can't give them any food, no matter what you have is not going to benefit them. But they appreciate good smell. Okay, and we know this, that the angels, they don't like bad smell, they love good smell, and they don't eat food. So today, I'm going to receive visitors that they can smell it on a hat, but they're not going to eat anything. Then he Oh, he ordered all of the doors of the house to be open. And he said I don't know which door they're going to come from open all the doors. And the servants were what's going on what's going on. So Pamela within a few, whatever short
period of time they found him sleeping, and it was asleep. But it was in fact, death. It was in fact death. And sad him who cost visited him in those last few days. Sad, the sad. One of the 10 sides is still alive now. And so I there's also participating in the conquest suicide is there at this point, so sad is visited.

But the prophet system commanded us a command. And I did not live up to it. What was that command? Oh, sad man, the prophecies and commanded us to live in this world, like a traveler
to only take what we need as a traveler, and look at all that I have around me. And Robbie said, I looked around him and there was a few jars and some rugs. And that's it. It's not as if he had a palace, right. But Sandman felt that I've become too excessive. And he lived the lifestyle of a peasant of a very poor man. But even this man said I haven't lived up to the commands of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam even said in his double quotes, which is the earliest book written of history, he has a very interesting narration I really loved it too beautiful narration listen to this one. And I'm not drawing any theology from it. Just let it be.
said man. And Abdullah Eben Salam who is Abdullah bin said, um, guys, all of you should know, the
the rabbi, the rabbi who converted. Okay, Selman, and Abdullah bin Salaam were good friends pause here. Of course, they were good friends. Think about it.
They are both intellectuals. They're both gone through the books. They're both. They must have a lot in common. Of course, they were good friends. So Selma said to Abdullah, that let's make a pact.
Let's make a deal. What is the deal? Whoever dies before the other
shall come to the other in a dream.
So Abdullah had been sat down said, Is that even possible?
And salmaan says, Yes, the souls of the believers are free to roam around as they please. It is the souls of the kuffar that are chained up, the believers can go so yes, if we want to we can visit each other in a dream.
So
salmaan died before Abdullah had been Salam. And Abdullah bin salam, one day went to sleep
in Medina, and he took a nap in the daytime. And he saw salmaan in a dream, fulfilling the pact. So he said, How are you and Selma settle hamdulillah I am declare I'm doing fine. Abdullah bin said, I'm said what is the one deed that you have done that you have been rewarded the most for?
What is the deed that you can advise me to do? And salmaan responded, I found to work cool, to be the most amazing thing I have done. I advise you to have to work code in a law I advise you to have to work good in a law, I advise you to have to work code in Java. Now if you look at the story of salmaan from beginning to end, it is nothing but the
truth. Look at the story of Solomon he knows he has his trust, Allah will take care of me and Allah will guide me and ally Georgia will allow me to come to the man who is supposed to eventually going to be the Prophet. And the whole story of Sandman is a manifestation of tawakkol and there is a small area now in the
in the lands of Iran right now.
