Shaykh Yasir Qadhi delves into a comparison of the faculties of thought and emotion – the brain and the heart. He goes on to say that if the heart is pure , then the rest of the body is also consequently pure.
By ascribing the Iman to our Qalb or heart, Allah signifies its importance. Allah has written directly written Iman into our hearts and it is indeed a great blessing.
Allah mentions in the Quran in Surah Al Hujurat, verses 7 -8:
‘But Allah has endeared to you the faith and has made it pleasing in your hearts and has made hateful to you disbelief, defiance and disobedience. Those are the [rightly] guided. [It is] as bounty from Allah and favor. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.’
The speaker discusses the importance of the heart as a source of life and how it is the source of one's joy. They also mention the command of Allah to write a man into the heart of the believers. The speaker emphasizes the importance of being a good person for one's happiness and how it can be manifested through a man's actions.
Allah refers to the heart as an organ of thought and emotion.
00:00:13 --> 00:00:33
Allah refers to the job as the faculty of thought and emotion. And he also refers to the brain as a
faculty of thought. So a lot refers to two separate faculties, both of which are thinking, and one
of which has emotions as well. And that is the faculty of the heart.
00:00:34 --> 00:01:20
And by ascribing a man to the heart of Allah subhanho wa Taala, signifying its importance, anything
that resides in the heart will benefit the entire body. It is the source of our life. And as the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, very early, there is a flesh in the body. If this flesh is
pure, the rest of the body will be pure. And if this flesh is filthy, uncorrupted, the rest of the
body will be corrupted. This flesh is the heart. And so Allah says that I have written a man
directly into the hearts of the believers. And that is a great blessing from a lot of the blessings
that Allah shows that a man has is that Allah subhana wa Jalla mentions in the Quran in surah gerat
00:01:20 --> 00:02:10
verses seven to eight. So that 100 verses seven to eight, Allah subhana wa tada says that Allah is
the one who has have Baba la Kumu Imam. Allah has made a man have been my boob. He has made a man
beloved to you. Why do we love to be Muslims? Why do we love a man? Why do we have a love and a
sense of joy of having this pride of a man? Allah is the one who has given it to us have a common
man, not only that Allah goes on was a Yana who feel lubicon and Allah has beautified your hearts
with a man beautified your hearts with a man. A man is What Makes You Beautiful. A man is what makes
you dignified. A man is what gives you your is your glory. Without a man you will be nothing you
00:02:10 --> 00:02:52
will be disfigured and ugly. not physically spiritually. Without a man you're not anything you're
nothing with a man you are beautiful. You are dignified. You have your Islam and Allah is the one
who has given this command to you was the Yana who feel free to become Xena is from Xena, which
means to beautify. So Eman. beautifies you and it beautifies your heart because what a man does is
it makes your heart pure, makes you a good person. And that's exactly what Allah says have been in a
coma. imana was the Yana who once again feel Kuru become once again a man in the heart. What makes
what what is a man purify your heart and your heart is beautified through a man How is that come
00:02:52 --> 00:03:18
about? Allah is the one who does it. And once again Allah is speaking in the singular have babba in
a con was a Yana This is in the singular It is as if Allah is saying that each and every one of you.
I am the one who has written a man in your hearts. I am the one who has made you love a man. I am
the one who has made a man beautiful to you and beautified you through a man all of this Allah
subhana wa tada ascribes directly to himself.
