I am I would like to have a
better maybe,
half second half of the month of Ramadan
But how can we do this? What incentive
should I have in order for me to
encourage myself and motivate myself even more to
do better, do more
inshallah.
May Allah make the second half Ramadan better
for all of us.
And make it easy and easier. But I
mean, our brothers,
sister, Brothers and sisters, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
uses a term which is very close to
our fitra as human beings when it comes
to exchanging
good deeds with him Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. He
used the word
which means what? Business exchange, trade.
So you trade with Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
and Allah
use that term with us in the Quran
multiple times, at least 3 times in a
way Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has mentioned that
what you do with Allah
you're trading with him subhanahu wa ta'ala. There's
a business exchange over here. There's a business
exchange. You're giving something and Allah in return
gives more inshallah.
All you who believe shall I guide you
to an exchange that will save you from
painful punishment?
He called
and he says to that you believe in
Allah
and the day of judgment. I mentioned many
of the good deeds that we all practice
regularly.
In the other eye, Allah, as the Surat
father.
Those who recite the words of Allah,
the book of Allah.
And they established their present their salah.
And they spent from what we have provided
for them privately and publicly.
Those are the ones
who hope for an exchange,
for a trade, for a fruit fruitful trade
that will never fail,
will never fail.
Like dealing with Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is
not like dealing with anybody Ajamah Because when
you trade with the people today in this
market here, it's hit or miss.
Sometimes it goes well. Sometimes you just kind
of like to have to wait before you
start seeing any result out of that and
sometimes you get nothing. But with Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala, you'll always find something.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, he bought from the
believers
themselves
and their wealth so that by exchange he's
give them in Jannah. May Allah make us
from the people of Jannah.
Brothers and sisters,
all of us are in this market. You
can't say well I'm not a business person.
I'm more intellectual. I like, you know, kind
of look. We're all in this market right
now.
Whether you like it or not, you have
to bargain.
You're going to have to trade with Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. And say a Muslim
and which we were studying on this past
Sunday.
Everybody
is going into that market. He said
like all people are they go early in
the morning into this marketplace.
And everybody is trading themselves.
You exchange yourself and you tell what you
get from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in this
dunya. And in
the
so everybody's telling themselves
You end up freeing yourself, setting yourself free
on the day of judgment
or actually ruling themselves. May Allah make us
some of those who free themselves.
I wanna share with you a few things
about that trade with Allah
Now what is your what is your capital?
For every business, you're gonna have to have
some capital. You might say, well, I don't
have anything. I don't have I'm not a
rich person. I'm not have that much money.
Well, with Allah as a legal capital, we're
all equal in
that. We all share that capital. That's your
lifetime.
The days and numbers that you have
attached to you.
Are you gonna live 50 years, 20 years?
Allah knows.
But every single breath counts.
Every second of your lifetime
counts. That is your capital.
I swear to you by Al Asr.
Time
in general.
Every is a constant state of loss, which
means what? We're losing
so we can also earn as well to
he said
except
except those
except for these people
who have faith.
They practice with good deeds. They remain steadfast,
and they enjoin each other with good with
goodness.
So Allah is mentioning it that people usually
already in the marketplace and money they aren't
losing.
Those
keep good business with Allah,
good trade with Allah
Those are these four qualities. They have strong
faith. Their practice is put into action, and
they enjoin one another with that. The also
will have what the wassa will somehow remain
steadfast on this path. They don't fluctuate. They
keep and remain steadfast.
Brothers and sisters, the prophet
says
about that capital that we have. We have
it already in our hands, but we never
appreciate the value of it.
We never appreciate the value of it. He
said
about
about mankind.
2 blessings that you that have been bestowed
upon you and many of us which
we're deceived.
We don't really appreciate the value of these
two things.
Health and free time.
When you're healthy and you have the time,
we get bored quickly. I don't know what
to do. Easy to get bored, SubhanAllah. So
we start distracting ourselves for something to keep
ourselves entertained.
Not necessarily
productive.
Maybe just getting busy but not necessarily productive.
And the prophet said of among the thing
that people will regret the most on the
day of judgment these two things.
When you're healthy,
you were wealthy,
and you had free time, so much free
time. What did you do with that?
That was your
capital.
That's the capital given to you. You don't
have to be rich
enough to be healthy,
enough that you have time that you use
in this life. You can now bargain with
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala with whatever you want.
And when it comes to now to this
market,
we're already all in it. Some of us
might say, but look. I mean, again, it
requires business people, those who have the money
to to trade and,
but the market of the dunya is open
for everybody.
For the rich and the poor. For the
educated and otherwise. For men, women, adults, young.
All of us have the same equal opportunity
to trade with Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. And
it doesn't matter how much money you have
is how much sincerity you have.
How sincere you are in the heart, that's
what's gonna matter the most. You see a
man, the the the poor people in Madinah
came to the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wa
sallam. So
we can't compete with the rich people. They're
getting all the rewards.
The prophet said, how
come? They pray and we pray.
They fast, we fast, but they give charity.
We can't do that. We can't compete with
them.
He said,
shall I tell you something? If you do,
you're gonna compete with them, and you even
surpass those who are before you as well
unless they do the same.
What is that? He said he says subhanallah
33 times. Alhamdulillah 33 times. Alhamdulillah 33 times.
You're after salah instead of rushing out.
Your dhikr after salah compete you with the
rich people.
So the people were very excited
and they start doing it.
Now suddenly they have they have something in
their hand. They can compete with the rich
people.
Not long after that, they came back to
Rasulullah
We're back again to square 1.
How come? He said our brother, the rich
people, they heard about what you said and
now they're doing it too.
What we're gonna do now? That's when the
prophet says himself
This is the blessing of Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala. He bestows upon whomever he was.
But this from this hadith, we know now
that even if you don't have money, you
can still compete
in the market of the.
You can still compete with the people. It's
not about the money. It's about the sincerity.
The prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam says,
One single dollar
will have much more reward than a 100,000.
And the Sahaba were surprised about this. A
man has 2 dirhams.
He gave one out and kept one for
themselves. That's 50% of their wealth.
How difficult was it for them to give
50% of their wealth? It's so hard.
Another person, he had marshaled us so much
money. He took from the side and gave
it away in charity and happened to be
a 100,000. Out of how much? God knows
how many.
But the idea is that it's not about
how much money you have.
We all have the exact same amount now
of wealth that is time.
You might say, but wait a minute. What
if someone lives 20 years or 50 years?
Remember, with Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, you don't
really necessarily trading with the the exact value
of the dinar and dirham.
You're dealing with sincerity.
That sincerity in the heart can make so
many good deeds
much more powerful
and more rewarding than so many others.
Simply with the sincerity of the heart.
So it doesn't matter then how much you
do as much as you do it right
and you do it sincere.
A man came to the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam says in a gathering as a
prophet was speaking.
He wants to know when the market is
gonna come to an end.
Like, how much time do I have left?
And he wants to know, should I pace
myself? Should I scale myself up down since
I have more time? We don't know that.
So he asked the prophet
when is the end of this market gonna
happen? When is the end of the day
that life is gonna
the prophet shifted his mind to what is
more important to him.
He
said, what did you prepare for?
Basically, what he's telling him is that doesn't
matter when he's gonna start.
You. Where did you prepare for it? That's
what matters right now. So whether you live
20 years, 50 years, a 1000 years, it
doesn't matter.
What comes with Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, you're
competing against your own self. That's it.
How much did you invest in the short
time, long time, long age, short age that
you lived in this dunya? How much did
you invest in the 20 years, 30 years,
50 years of your lifetime?
That is what you're competing against. Not anybody
else.
But it's so important that I might materialize
this by focusing so much on my investment
with Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala.
Brothers and sisters, remember that trading with Allah
is a lucrative trade, has no kasara.
There is no loss in there. As Allah
says in the Quran,
because they have they hope for a trade
that will never fail an exchange
that will never fail. So whatever you do
with Allah,
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will appreciate that for
you.
Brothers and sisters turning with Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala,
that exchange with Allah
no matter what it is, it's worth it.
It's always worth it. In matters of dunya,
you think about it. You ask. You consult
with business people, with experts. You try to
make sure that you make the right trade
and right exchange
because it's gonna matter to you where I
put my money.
But with Allah subhanahu wa'ala, it doesn't matter.
Doesn't matter if it's fasting, to Hajjood, dhikr,
tasbih, burulwale dein, smile in the face of
other people, all these other good deeds? Whatever
effort that you put in as a matter
of,
it is always worth it. With Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala, it's always worth it.
You might say, what about $1? It is
always worth it because we're trading with Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, you're not now exchanging,
you know, dollar for dollar. No. You're not.
Allah.
You're trading Jannah right now.
That's expensive.
That's very precious.
Your good deeds not does not don't qualify
you to be there. But what qualifies you
to be the the grace of Allah Subhanahu
wa ta'ala? As the prophet
mentioned,
the
hadith
call. None of you is gonna enter Jannah
because of the good deed of the submitted.
No.
That's not even equivalent to that.
Except by the mercy and the grace of
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. You're doing your good
deeds to earn that grace of Allah to
allow you to be from the people of
The example of those who spend their money
for the sake of Allah
Just like when you give when you when
you plant a seed
That seed will result in 7 urns.
And these urns, of course, they have now
a 100 grains on each one of them.
You can imagine now.
Multiply that to 700 times and even more
and more and more.
So once again,
if someone was able to give $50,000
of fundraising,
don't look down upon the $50 that you're
giving because that's how much I can afford.
It's not about 50,000 versus $50.
It's about how sincere
these $50 came out versus the the 50,000.
Yes. They might surpass you with their sincerity.
That's what you need to work on
Part of, you know, understanding business and trade
is you need to realize where you put
your money. So, therefore, my brothers, in the
second half of Ramadan right now, as we
come closer to the last 10 nights of
the month of Ramadan, you need to scale
yourself and scale up to that moment.
Where are you gonna put your investment? My
precious time, when am I gonna put that
right now?
Should I put it during the day, during
the night? Do I put it with friends?
Do I put it online? Do I put
it with the Quran?
Where are you gonna put your investment?
Be a smart business person and make sure
to study the market very well. Brothers and
sisters, in order for you to have that
done well,
remember, I might have multiple intentions what I'm
doing this for. Always remind yourself to keep
the intention, the purpose for the sake of
Allah as they were done. And part of
it as well when you invest money, you're
not gonna just put your money there and
not keep following up with
it. Don't ruin your good deeds.
Do not ruin your good deeds. Safeguard your
investment.
Don't show off. There's no reality out there.
Don't come for loyalty and what is besides
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Don't try to taunt people with your good
deeds that you're doing. Don't don't ruin your
good deeds. Don't be so arrogant.
All these will ruin everything that you're doing.
Remember, to safeguard your investment as well too.
And when you work, it's not about working
so hard at your mind. It's about working
so smart. Working so smart, and that's when
you need to choose your investment. Well,
May Allah make us among those who invest
well with Allah
and make our investment with him and our
exchange and trade fruitful.
My dear brothers and sisters, I just said,
you know, that we're a few days away
from half,
time of the month of Ramadan.
And, one thing that we have to understand
and remember when it comes to our money,
we can put that in our hand and
use it for the next day. So your
capital in this dunya, you can still save
it for another day.
But your capital for the akhara, you can't
save that.
Once the day passes, it's over.
So every single day is a golden opportunity
to basically make your your investment the best
investment that you can think of every single
day. You cannot save your days for another
day. You can't.
As in the hadith, that every single day
when it when when it comes,
there's a call that calls upon you when
the when the sun rises.
Adam.
I'm a new day, a fresh day,
and I'll be witness
for you or against
you. So every single day that passes,
you can't call it back again.
So, therefore, if you wanna really safeguard your
investment,
make sure that every single day is a
day that you value as if it's the
only day that you're living in this dunya.
And you trade everything that you have
in this day. Don't wait for the next
day.
As if you're living only for this day.
So make sure to do it and do
it right inshallah and hadith
hadith al Faseela.
The prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam says
If the hour is being established, which means
the day of judgement is being established.
And one of you has in their hand
a shoot of a plant.
If you get the chance
to just put this shoot now plant, put
the roots into the ground, just put it
there
before everything is over. You should do that.
What does that mean? Never ever feel it's
too late for investment and trading and exchanging
with Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Even if you haven't done well in the
first 10, 11 days of Ramadan,
make sure to do the best inshallah to
end up what's coming up.
