As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
Alhamdulillah rabbil alameen wa salallahu wa sallam wa
baraka anabiyyina wa muhammadin wa ala alihi wa
sahbihi wa salam.
Tasliman kathiratun ma'ma ba'd.
So we have a very short hadith tonight.
Hadith number 77 in Riyad al-Saliheen.
Still under the chapter of al-yaqeen wa
al-tawakul.
Uncertainty, unreliance on Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
We've heard this hadith in a different version.
So let's see if you guys can figure
out what the meaning of this hadith and
how is that related to the subject of
al-yaqeen wa al-tawakul.
Let me see if you remember the other
hadith.
Hadith Abi Huraira radiallahu ta'ala an-nabiyyi
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam anahu qal.
yadkhulul jannata aqwamun af'idatuhum mithlu af'idatu
al-tayr.
In this narration the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam says a group of people means both
men and women obviously.
A group of people whose hearts will be
like the hearts of birds will enter Jannah.
What does that mean?
How do you enter Jannah if your heart
is just like the bird?
What do birds have in their hearts that
will make them enter Jannah?
And if you resemble that, you'll also enter
Jannah.
Yes Rehan?
About the wrist?
Do you remember the story of the hadith?
The narration?
You're right.
It's about that narration.
But the narration of the other hadith the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is explaining that
concept.
Like those who enter Jannah, their heart like
the birds, right?
Yes.
They go empty stomach and they come full,
right?
Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
he says, when he spoke about the bird
what did he say sallallahu alayhi wa sallam?
He said, Arabic Arabic Arabic He goes, if
you truly put your trust in Allah If
you truly have your trust in Allah He
will provide for you like He provides for
the birds.
When the birds leave their nest, they leave
empty stomach.
When they come back, they come what?
Full stomach.
So when the birds leave, where are their
hearts are attached?
To the paycheck?
Employer?
No.
With who?
Allah is the one who provides.
So they leave to do their job.
And what is their job?
To fly out and look for food.
And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will guide
them where their rizq is going to be.
So they fly around, collect their food, come
back at the end of the day full
stomach, feed their babies and survive the other
day until the next day.
Imagine if each and every one of us
had that level of trust in Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala that you're not going to
die without fulfilling your rizq.
Imagine.
You would have that full tawakkul on him
subhanahu wa ta'ala.
If you get a pay cut or you
lost a project or you get laid off
or this happened or that happened, you don't
freak out.
You don't freak out.
Why is that?
Because Allah is the rizq.
He gave me subhanallah so much so I
know for sure Allah will provide for me
subhanahu wa ta'ala.
And it's okay if I get that loss
because I know Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
will provide for me.
If you have that level of trust, it
will give you peace and tranquility.
Satisfaction.
Fulfillment.
But if you don't have that level of
trust and that level of tawakkul if you
don't have that, it's off over there.
Can you guys make sure that the speakers
in the women's section are on?
So once again, the hadith of the Prophet
is that if you truly have that trust
in Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala Allah azza
will provide for you like He provides for
the birds.
So this hadith of the Prophet says, Some
people will go into Jannah because their hearts
will be like the hearts of birds.
In terms of what?
In terms of their tawakkul, their full trust
and reliance on Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
May Allah make us among those mutawakkilin ya
rabbal alameen.
We ask Allah to give us that trust
of the birds in the rizq of Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala and provide for us
from His blessings and bounties.
Any questions?
Yes.
That's a good point.
Why only birds?
Why not other animals?
Because it seems that birds are like they
have soft hearts.
But other animals, the animals of prey, they're
rough, right?
It's like if you could talk about, He
will provide for like He provides for the
lions.
But the lions sometimes can be rough.
But the birds are just simple weak, vulnerable.
You know, they can be hurt easily.
They can be even eaten by other birds
of prey and so on.
So still Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala with
these sparrows and these birds, He provides for
them.
Even though they go and they have to
go through all these dangers and all these
perils in that day, still Allah will provide
for them.
By Allah.
So birds are not harmful, kind-hearted.
But they can, you know, basically kind of
like soil your car after you wash it.
Right?
Which is true.
Still, their hearts are very soft in comparison
to other animals.
Perhaps that's one of the things, again, we
actually, or the Prophets, as I mentioned, that
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gave us those
beautiful hearts of the birds.
Yes.
Of course.
Of course.
Absolutely.
So the birds basically, what he's saying is
that the birds didn't just sit in the
nest and wait for the rizq to come.
They had to make their part and they
would fly out and just get it.
And they put their trust in Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala to provide for them.
The rizq is there.
I trust Allah will provide, but I need
to go and get it.
So that's another way of looking at it.
Jazakumullah khair.
As-salamu alaykum.
