Yaser Birjas – Patience In Times Of Greed

Alhamdulillahrubillahrubillahramin.

This hadith is, kinda like different from the

topics that we would talk about, the the

types of patients

that we've been discussing in the previous hadith.

Hadith number 51 on the other salihin,

from the book of patients.

This is specific about,

signs of the day of judgment or the

signs

near the day of judgment.

In this hadith, the Messenger of Allah sallallahu

alaihi wa sallam is saying,

you will see after me Athara,

favoritism,

and things which you will disapprove of.

The the Sahaba and Sirqari also,

what do we do in this case? What

do you order us to do in this

situation?

Discharge your obligations

and ask your rights from Allah Now

this hadith

is actually is,

related to some of the Alhamdulillah that say

exclusively when it comes to the subject of

leadership or rulers in the Muslim world.

What does it mean?

The word Athara in the Arabic language,

it's,

it's it's more of like the favoritism

in terms of matters of dunya.

Like you will find these people, especially in

the position of leadership

as a at the highest level of leadership,

as we see in the Muslim world these

days, unfortunately.

They rake all the the benefits of the

world, of the ummah.

And what do they give the people?

Pennies

or crumbs.

So they're raking everything of Hanuman and leaving

nothing for the people.

So people will see that, and they will

recognize that. As a matter of fact, we

see it regularly

when people always, you know, point to, the

highest level of leadership and say, look, they're

stealing all the wealth of the ummah. They're

doing this, they're doing that. And the prophet,

he knew that's what happened.

Some other hadith out of Mufasilin, they say

that it speaks about in general, not just

on the level of leadership.

Like we see these days how people are

so much into the dunya.

Like the Athar over here, they prefer

the dunya over everything else,

And they kinda like prefer the dunya to

themselves over anybody else.

And matters or things that you will disapprove.

Now this, they say, that's in matters of

the akhir and the deen.

Athara in matters of dunya, like they take

all the wealth of the dunya.

But umurantunqruna,

matters that you will disapprove of in matters

of religion and deen,

like we see in our time today.

In order for for these rulers to,

control

the the crowd, what did they do? They

invent

bida and innovations

and they invent, you know, and they allow

a long stand, some of these people who

have all these weird

beliefs

to become on top of everybody as leaders

of the Muslim ummah, and they start spreading

all these false things about the deen.

So you're gonna be seeing all that stuff.

And I guess we know in the past

few years in the Muslim world, particularly in

the Arab world, many of these so called

religious leadership, they came

promoting things for the society that's just like

off, like, wow, how could this be possible

today?

So the sahaba, they were shocked, qaliyah Rasoolallah,

because of course at the time of the

prophet, no one would imagine anything to be

to happen. How would it even possibly happen?

They couldn't even fathom the idea

that people who are Muslims, you you know,

would even think of something like that.

So for them being around the prophet sallallahu

alaihi wa sallam, comfortable with that, they could

never imagine anything to happen in the future.

What do you order us to do in

this situation? Like if we live until that

time, so what do we do?

Like whatever is due to upon you to

do, just do it.

Just do

it. Which means they don't deserve it from

you.

But you deserve to do the right thing

in all time. Some they say this is

in regards to the obedience or at least

when you give the bayah and give the

pledge to the amir, that means it means

you maintain that and you keep obedience to

them.

So you do that. That's your part towards

them.

And then you ask Allah

for your for your rights from Allah Azzawajal.

What does that mean? Being patient.

That means you're gonna be taken partly advantage

of. They're gonna maybe abuse some of your

rights. You're not gonna get much of what

you're probably you you you deserve.

So in this case,

if you can maintain patience

and at that level,

Now we're gonna see later on the prophet

was asked, or as a matter of fact,

we're gonna be talking about this,

to tomorrow, inshaAllah, in the tasil class when

we do the the shahab hadith,

remember Nirmala,

that to what level?

At what level? When do people can say,

you know, enough is enough here? So the

prophet gave indications,

says,

as long as they pray, not a narration,

which means as long as they allow you

to maintain the salah.

So in some in some places we know

that people can't even go to the masjid

twice

without being questioned or even disappeared sometimes.

So when the situation becomes at that level,

the massages are shut down and being, you

know, closed and people are not allowed to

go to the massages,

that's a different story. People have right now,

they're gonna have to fight for their deen

and making sure that they do the right

thing. So that's a very important message that

actually people should understand. But here, the prophet

says,

when it's a matter of dunya,

it's okay.

Leave them to Allah, azza wa jal. Just

do your part.

When it matters of the akhirah,

you have to continue to do what is

right and stay away from that which is

wrong and ask Allah

for the best.

Will Allah

Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala protect us from these difficult
