Wasim Kempson – Seerah Moments #09

			after the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam gave Dawa for three years secretly amongst the
companions, and then openly called the Quraysh on the Mount of suffer to Al Islam, and then Abu
Lahab rejected Islam, and rejected the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, right there
began the beginnings of what was the oppression and persecution against the Muslims. So in the
fourth year, after the revelation first began, there was an incident there was a fight between one
of the companions of the messenger sallallahu alayhi, wasallam, and one of the Quraysh the mosaics,
and Saudi Arabia costs Radi Allahu Anhu fell into a very, very big fight with one of the
		

			polytheists. This caused the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to change the way that he wanted to
then for the Muslims to come together, because previous to this, each of the Muslims would practice
their religion in their homes and tell their immediate family. So the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam
was looking then for a place for the Muslims to come together. And there was a very young companion
whose name was an outcome, even at the outcome. And he had a very nice house, in that it was very
nicely placed right next to the mountain of software.
		

			Now, if you've ever been to MK at the moment, and when you perform Safa and Marwa beat to the walk
between the two mountains, you will see that the area is been purposely built so that people can
perform their care between the two mountains. However, if he was to remove all of this marbled area,
there will be left alone a mountain, and that would be called Jebel suffer the mountain of suffer,
and an outcome, his house was actually very close to the mountain.
		

			And the entrance to the house was actually between the mountain and the house. So it was almost you
could enter the home secretly, and nobody would know that you entered the home. So the Prophet
salallahu Alaihe Salam sought permission from an outcome that they could use this particular house
as a place of security and safety, that the Muslims could come together, and they could begin
teaching the religion. A lot of camaraderie. Allahu anhu, of course, agreed to this. And then
Muslims are the Alliance and the prophets I lump they came together and began to start teaching and
learning in the house of an outcome, even a bill outcome. Now we want what benefits do we take from
		

			this particular incident? And why did the Prophet sallallahu Sallam what was the hikma in choosing
this particular place? Now outcome was a very young person, maybe in his teenage years. So he was
not a person that people would think that this is an elder from the companions. And maybe his home
is being used as a safe haven, a safe, safe haven for the Muslims, for them to hide the way that he
was completely under the radar. This was one reason Secondly, the placement of the home, it was very
easy to go in and out of the home. And you could remain hidden and not many people were in fact
nobody would know if you entered the home, especially at nighttime. And also that was the size of
		

			the home was enough for the Muslims to to meet. These were three three of the reasons and Allah
Subhana Allah knows best that this particular home was chosen as the first place that the Muslims
would begin learning their religion.
		

			The Prophet sallallahu alayhi salam here in this particular place would teach the companions or the
alo annum, the beginnings of the Salah, and the prayer that would be offered in the morning and the
prayer that would be offered in the evening. And this goes to show the importance of the Muslims
coming together. It would have been quite easy for the Prophet size him to make a decision for the
Muslims to stay in their homes individually, not to get involved in any fights and any disruption
within the city. But the Prophet sallallahu Sallam focused on the Muslims coming together. And this
is an important fundamental and important and important found foundation that we find in Islam, that
		

			so many times you find the Muslims come together in the congregational prayer, salatu aid and Hajj
and Ramadan are so many acts of a burden the Muslims, they come together, and we find the beginnings
of this right at the beginning and the early call of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
		

			Another benefit we take is the importance of having a bit of Salah and that is having righteous
companionship. That here the Prophet salallahu alayhi salam at this particular time would bring the
Companions together, and that they would benefit from one another. They would learn from one another
and that they had the greatest teacher the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam teaching them the
revelation that was coming down to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam regularly. The Prophet
alayhi salam mentioned in number of a hadith about the importance of having good friends and I
mentioned some of those to inshallah
		

			Other than the Prophet alayhi salatu salam
		

			gave an analogy, something we can actually think about. And, you know, we can imagine in our minds
that the Prophet sallallahu sallam said that the example of a good friend is like the one who is the
MISC or the perfume carrier, that if you buy something from him, or you're in his company, that you
will get the perfume. So if you buy something from him, you get the benefit of the perfume, even if
just simply you're walking with them, or happened to be in the company, you don't buy anything, you
still get the benefit of smelling the perfume, and may even get the small part of the perfume before
you leave. So this is the example of a good friend, that if you have a good friend, they will leave
		

			a good impression on you. The example of a bad friend or somebody who's gonna have a bad influence
on you, is like the one who is is like the blacksmith, the blacksmith who is making bagging metal.
And there were sparks flying everywhere in the heat, and maybe there was sweating and there was a
smell. And it's not not a nice place to be a bad friend is just like that, that if you're in that
company, that you will have your face of extreme heat, and you may leave the place with your clothes
being burnt, you may leave the place with your feeling is very hot and sweaty. And it's not a place
a nice place to be unless you have to work there. This was the example of a friend who is a bad
		

			friend who may have a bad impression on you. So Islam pays great attention to a person having a good
friend, as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that the person the individual will be upon
the Dean upon the religion of his friend. So let him choose carefully who that whom He will walk
with, or who he will be with. So the prophets, I said, I'm focused on the Muslims coming together.
And if you could imagine, in the early times, in the very early times of Islam, it wasn't easy to be
a Muslim. It wasn't easy for a person to hold on to the Islam, where people were missing seeing
things that you swearing and cursing against you or possibly being physical against you. Only those
		

			people at this particular time who held on to that slam very strongly
		

			wouldn't be able to go through this great trial. So another benefit that we take inshallah is that
the Prophet SAW Selim instilled at the very beginning, that this very strong bond between the
Muslims and that they would have to support one another in what was at that time, a strange society
for themselves. The Prophet alayhi salam and the Muslims were very few in number, worshipping Allah
subhanaw taala alone, the majority of people were involved in all types of vices in terms of
alcohol, drugs, possibly and fornication and riba usury and so on. The Muslims were a minority, but
the Prophet sallallahu Sallam focused on the Muslims being together and strengthening one another.
		

			And we know that similarly, we find Muslims in this day now, in, for example, certain communities or
countries where the Muslims are a minority, it is extremely important for the Muslims to have a
place that they come together, and that they can work together. Even though there may be some
differences in how the the outlook of certain issues, I mean, the Companions themselves, or the
Allahu Anhu differed on certain matters, but that never led to them separating and weakening the
ranks of the Muslims. So it is extremely important for the Muslims wherever we are in the world to
that we come together and we support one another, to ensure that our community is as strong as
		

			possible and not to allow the shaytaan become de come in between us and split to the ranks of the of
the Muslims. Also, I want to mention another benefit is that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
described this OMA described this as like one body, and that if this body was to fail, feel Hama or
to feel some like a fever, then the whole body would feel pain, and would not would feel sleepless,
won't be able to rest. We also benefit from the practice of the Prophet Elisa Salaam in this
example, in that the prophet Elisha and being a more before them being a teacher and being a
nurturer for them. And even though it was quite easy, if you like that when a person would say
		

			something against the Muslims, or say something against Islam, for the Muslim, to rebuke them, and
to teach them and to tell them that this is not correct, and we don't accept this, to be in quite
		

			rigorous kind of manner in dealing with the non Muslims. But this was not the approach of the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam the Prophet alayhi wa sallam told the Muslims to ignore the
behavior of the polytheists at this time, and here you will see a very distinct difference in how
the Muslims behaved in Makkah, and how they behaved in Medina. When the Muslims were in Makkah, and
they were weak, very few in number, they had to behave in a certain way with wisdom, as was when
they were in Medina when they were much stronger. They were it was not necessary for them to if
somebody was to hit them for them to show the other side of their face for them to be hit as well.
		

			Now, the Muslims would not tolerate oppression against themselves, and we're in a much stronger
position while hamdulillah so we learn from this that Tobia or nurturing people is something which
has not happened if something happens overnight. It is a long term objective
		

			It is a long term, long term goal that we should be working towards. And it is important to ensure
that the person has milestones throughout their journey in life, but they're able to look back to
see where they were and how they have improved and how Allah subhanaw taala has brought them forward
and bless them in so many ways. Right when Ramadan comes to us each year, it is an opportunity for
us to look back in the last year what has happened. It may be if we didn't have Ramadan, Subhan
Allah maybe the years would pass by and maybe wouldn't feel one minute we think we are in our 20s
and then the next minute we're in our 40s and then the postman questions Where did my life go? So
		

			Allah subhanaw taala allows us to stop at certain times to take stock of what is happening in our
lives. Because this is the logo, the logo is that I want to reach my final destination my ultimate
destination which is the paradise but along with that I need to have training I need to be nurtured
and understanding of everything that goes around me. May Allah subhanaw taala allow us to have true
understanding of the deen and allow us to be true more obese for our children Allah whom I mean, and
the last point I want to mention inshallah and is the importance of the Ummah and that is the
Muslims being together and supporting one another. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam described
		

			the Muslims as a bunion, like a building, you should do Bow to her Baba that they support one
another, that they are leaning on one another and supporting one another and this is we are how we
should be as an ummah, we do not forsake any part of the Ummah, wherever they are. On Earth. Of
course, what I'm able to do for them will differ, maybe I can help them financially. Maybe I'm able
to participate in gathering food or clothing and physically going there and building things for
them. People who are in need, my SDI or my Fedora is different from one person to the next. But
nonetheless you will find what you are able to do and you will do that for your brother and your
		

			sister, because it is a matter of Amen. And we ask Allah subhanaw taala to join our hearts as
believers Allahumma Amin Bartik Allahu wa salam aleikum, wa rahmatullahi wa.
