Allah,
Be a evil Muslim,
Allah, Anil Kareem, Baga, all the Bill Rahman, your
father now come from Minas,
Jadin Abu,
let me communist in
all the malarky today, martuq call an asylum in khalafatani, Minar,
wahala kata whom you Sadaf, Allahu, Alain,
in the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful, All
praise is due to our Creator, our cherisher, our nourisher and our
Sustainer.
We bear witness. There's none worthy of worship but Allah.
We bear witness. We believe in all the prophets who came throughout
history. And we bear witness that Prophet, Muhammad ibn Abdullah
rasulallahu alaihi wa alihi wahi wa sallam is the final of all the
emissaries of Allah,
Prasad, ulama, Quran, respected elders, brothers and sisters,
respected youth. I greet you with the Islamic universal greeting of
peace. May the peace, the mercy and the blessings of Allah and be
upon each and everyone present here, assalamu, Alaikum. Wa
Rahmatullah wabarakatuh.
There was a lecture advertised in London for a prominent Muslim
speaker
and a group of young young young men
went to the venue and were waiting to enter the hall
when one of the young men noticed a young lady dressed in short
sleeves and tight jeans and had no scarf,
and this young man among the group of young men was upset at the
sight of this girl dressed like this, and he told his friends that
he was going to approach the girl and tell her that she should Be
ashamed coming to an Islamic lecture
dressed like this,
his friends somehow persuaded him just leave it now. Do not go and
speak to her. But he was very upset. Nonetheless,
inside the speaker spoke,
and after speaking, he took some questions,
and this group of young men noticed that among the questioners
standing in line to ask a question was this young lady.
So when her turn came to ask a question, she said, I do not have
a question. I just want to take shahada and become a Muslim,
she took shahada, and we know that rasulallahu, alaihi wasallam said
in the Hadith documented in the Sahih Muslim
Islam, Yadi mumaqan,
do you realize that embracing Islam removes all your past sins.
But as they came out,
one of the friends told this angry friend of his, imagine you spoke
to her and belittled her before she went in the hall. She may have
gone home,
and now she goes home better than all of us. Not only is she Muslim
like us? But all the persons have been wiped out. Let me
make it very, very clear, please,
press incident does not in any way imply that you mustn't rectify
somebody if they are wrong of their inappropriate please don't
that's not the impression, but the message here, do more than that,
it teaches us that there should not be an air of moral superiority
when helping or judging or guiding other people.
There's a big difference between the two.
You.
Please, when things are done with self righteous arrogance,
let problems arise.
Iblis refuse to obey the commands of Allah.
He was logical about
it. Al Nahum in you made me from fire and you made him from dust.
Of course, there's another debate. Who says that fire is better than
dust, but there's something else. There's a logical debate, but
there's something else, but the arrogance was and I am better.
Mean, that is the issue, never mind the logical explanation you
have given, the idea, the premise of his entire approach was,
because I am better, whatever my reasoning, maybe you have a valid
reasoning for argument's sake, for argument's sake, but the fact is,
the underlying factor was anahayu. Mean, I am better than him.
And this
you must remember, Iblees was not ostracized or outcast because of
murdering someone,
nor because he stole something or committed some other crime, but
because of Abba was at bar. He was arrogant, and he refused to submit
to Adam, as Allah commanded him, due to his arrogance. And this
comes from the notion of ojub. You know, in Islam, you have this
Arabic you have an ojub. Is this idea of being so enamored by
yourself, even when you are correct, become so enamored with
yourself that your being correct makes you undermine other people
who may not be as correct as you are on that particular point,
don't forget they may be correct on many other points, because very
often we judge people on the things we do. If I wear a thorough
but something as long as this or short is this, I use that as a
standard.
But that which we don't do, we don't use it as a standard. The
Prophet always smiled. People who argue with you never smile. And
the Prophet always smiled that Sunnah of the smile is missing in
them. It's also sunnah, by the way,
completely missing in them.
Mara a to Shay in saruta, I never seen anything more pleasant. No,
anyone smiling more than the Prophet of Allah.
So I can say it's a sunnah. Come with so many Muslims, they don't
follow the Sunnah.
So I choose the Sunnah which I do, and then I use that sunnah to be
like a you for not doing the Sunnah that I'm doing. Be very
careful. You can advise me. You can guide me, but don't make you
think that you are superior. That's moral elegance.
And we should realize that even when we see a fault in someone,
there should not be this moral arrogance in our engagement of
other people.
Look at the world today, we are appalled by blatant moral
arrogance of how many of the most of the western countries are
dealing with the unfolding genocide in Palestine. I'm going
to a global level. I'll come back to the microcosmic, back to our
personal level, but just for a moment, for us to
deflect. For decades, the West spoke of human rights and
democracy and self determination and other moral and legal terms
that they themselves have crafted and propagated to show that they
are the standard bearers of Justice, the standard bearers of
fairness and effort somehow to mask the atrocities that they have
historically committed
the moral authority that the West granted itself with which to judge
and lead the world, even if misplaced and misguided because of
their arrogance and self glorification,
they want us to forget about The massacres that they committed to
the Native Americans. 120 million. 120
million Native Americans were massacred in America. 120
million. Most countries don't even have their
population in America, Native Americans, so called Red Indians.
Columbus, went to America. He said he went to India. He went in he
went to America three times. He went back, still believing he was
in India.
And they got a country named after him. They were never Columbus Day,
a public holiday for Him, if we didn't call us idiots.
But that is perhaps the standards by which people live. They
colonized other people's lands in Africa, in Asia, in Latin America,
and subjugated innocent inhabitants of those lands
dropping atoping bombs, killing 1000s of people in the moment
second and first and second world war wasn't caused in Africa,
wasn't in the Middle East, wasn't in the Far East, wasn't in Latin
America.
It was in Europe, among Europeans.
Holocaust wasn't committed by Muslims or by blacks or by browns
or pinks, because by Europeans. In Europe,
First and Second World War, 10s of millions of people died
to add no hand in that,
using the economic power and the proxy subservient leaders, they
try to give a message, an impression that they have the
primary right to define what values are,
what is relevant, what constitutes right and wrong. Who is a
terrorist and who is a freedom fighter, irrespective of whether
we consider those definitions of rights that they impose on us as
being unfair, non factual, immoral or unnatural.
I use governmental or non governmental organizations to
affect social and political mobilization to benefit Western
interests and abuse humanitarian aid. We control the whole country.
We still have control of the mines.
That's why we still poor.
They put pink faces and black faces and brown faces and top
positions, but the system is still the same. Those who are poor are
still poor.
A few people of color have become a bit rich, and that is to appease
people you
the invade countries impose their will
and make the citizens comply to their dictates. The current brutal
attack in Gaza is indeed a most tragic situation, hospitals,
schools, hospital universities. Just by the way, per capita, more
people, more PhDs are produced in the land of Palestine than any
country in any territory in the world.
We are among the people who produce the most profound in the
world. I'm talking about ratio wise. They produce more PhDs than
any part of the world. Glacier wise, every university, not some,
not most, every university has completely been destroyed.
And then they complain that people are protesting in universities, 12
universities in America. What kind of rights you know the people's
interviewing people's rights you You You're upsetting people.
You're massacring 1000s of people. You're worrying about sensitivity
of a few people.
Residential buildings have been bombed, refugee camps have been
bombed. And now, as we are speaking, the last place where
people have found refuge is rougher, and they're about to
attack that. And of course, the Egyptian government and Jordanian
Government are fully in cahoots, fully in cahoots, and Saudi Arabia
fully in cahoots with the Israelis.
Essential service like water, like fuel, food, electricity and
internet access are cut off.
You can't even collect it's illegal in America, in Palestine
to collect water from the rain, it's illegal. You can't dig for a
well in your own country, in your own land, you can't collect water.
Is the rule.
It's a law, because the water that falls belongs to the IDF, even
from the sky.
Nothing to do with Judaism, by the way, he's going to do a Zionism.
Remember that in the past six months, 36,000 Palestinians have
been killed, of which 23,000 women are women and children.
Where is the morality? Where is the democracy?
Where is the human rights? Where is the justice? Where is the
civilization in all of this?
These very people have been speaking about these civilized
world versus the uncivilized world, the first world, they are
so arrogant. There's no second world. It's first world and third
world. There's not even a gap between them and the others,
apartheid,
the developed world, developing world, though they've stole all
the wealth and minerals. England got the among the largest reserves
of gold in the world.
England doesn't have gold mines. We have all the gold mines, and we
are broke.
Something is wrong. Here
on the imperial crown of the British stand the kohinu Diamond
and the Kalinin diamond and all of these diamonds taken from lands
they've conquered and people they've subjugated, thieves that
they are.
It all came down to one thing, so rest being the image of the ideal
and the rest of the world have to live up to their standards, moral
arrogance at its worst,
and it's misplaced arrogance. You know, when you're arrogant and
your ears have something to be arrogant about, though it's a.
Now, at least got something to be arrogant about. There's nothing to
be elegant about. It's inhumanity of man to man.
Now, coming back to ourselves at the individual level,
we need to avoid moral arrogance at all cost. We need to stop
undermining one another,
belittling others
and in arguing among ourselves until we lose not only their
respect, we lose our self respect. Now
belo Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu, alaihi wasallam, Hadith documented
by the salon of Abu Dawud Rasulullah, said, and as I Mumbai
in fear Robert Alton le mantara kal Mura wa inkana, Moha, I
guarantee a house on the periphery of paradise. I guarantee a house
on the periphery of paradise for the one though he is right,
he avoids unnecessary hostile argumentation. Even if it's right,
when he's right, debate, discuss, but hostile argumentation, I
promise you a house in paradise if you can avoid that. Doesn't mean
you mustn't speak up. Doesn't mean you mustn't debate because idea of
hostility. And the hostility come from an idea of sometimes moral
superiority. Don't try to find faults, as
Imam Al Ghazali advises, kun Kal Munir walata, kunkal munafiq,
be like a believer, a true believer, looking for the goodness
in people. Don't be like a munafiq Looking for faults in other
people.
You see, if you can't be a bridge to connect the people, then don't
become a wall to separate them. If you can't be a light to brighten
people's good deeds, don't become a darkness covering whatever
sincere efforts they may be trying to do. If you can't be water to
help someone's gardens grow and the flowers grow. Don't be a pest
destroying their roses. If you can't be a medication to save
life, don't be a virus to destroy life. If you can't be an eraser to
remove anyone's unhappiness, don't become a pen to write their
sadness. If you can't be a shadow covering people's faults, then do
not become a spotlight focusing on people's shortcomings in
contemporary times.
For dal Malana,
in contemporary times, we use instruments to study and evaluate
things.
And one advice I want to give to those looking for faults of
others, stop looking at the faults of others with a microscope. You
know, we're living modern times, so everything we have an
instrument.
So the instrument, we can use a microscope and look in people's
faults. But the problem is, we look at other people's fault of
the microscope, and we look at our fault of the telescope very far
away, very far away.
You see, you
know, what's the best thing to look for? Faults? Look in your
mother.
There's a best place to look
and begin there.
I always say
note that there's so much goodness in the worst of us. There's so
much goodness in the worst of us, and so many shortcomings in the
best of us, that it does not behold us. It's not for any of us
to try to find fault with the rest of us through Qadr al jiraika So
Allah
Imam Azadi documents in Allah Alam attributed
genius of Spirituality, master of spirituality,
a person with a tremendous generosity of spirit, depth of
knowledge,
because the Imam,
even of the hanabila, referred to him as the Imam, even those who
ended the SOF and so on, May Allah guide them. But the point is, even
they acknowledge that he is the sheik,
the knowledge I'm talking about your knowledge. Just to show these
his understanding, the Sei, for example,
and he gave words of advice, embodying the highest standard of
social social humility,
not humiliation. Humility is different from humiliation.
Humility, says, is
how we should engage one another.
He said,
Enough, sick.
John, one. Ila.
Had in Illah water and Al
falas dari enough sack. Whenever you see people, you assume there's
something about them that is good, that may be better than yours.
And if you see someone small, a youngster,
Allah, say to fellow Shaq,
if I see someone little, a young person, I say he's small. He has
never Abu, disobeyed Allah, so small and I have sinned. He is
definitely better than me.
He said, Wait a Kabir and
mini Abu Dhabi. If some someone old say he has been worshiping
Allah long before me. I'm sure he's better than me. What in
writing to alimon, pull the harder. Wabala, ramala, wa ali,
Mama. If I see a knowledgeable person, I say he has been given
what I don't have. He has knowledge that I don't have ever
reached a state of knowing which I don't know.
And he knows what ignorant How can I better than him?
We're in Kana jahilan. If you meet somebody who's ignorant. Kolkahada
As Allah, this man is, he's ignorant, and when he send, he
send out of ignorance, and I have some knowledge, and I've sinned
against Allah with the knowledge that I am,
and the proof of Allah against me is more than the proof against
him. Well, in
kultri, Asa, IU Kamala, hubihayan, salabi,
Islam. He means, come
at unshareful
for
yakuna, Minal, mukherabin or an aku, naminal, muba, Adin, he says.
And if I see a person of
no faith or hasn't got faith, was unbelieving, I said, I don't know,
maybe Allah will guide him, as he may end up doing good deeds is
better than the deeds I've done,
and he may reach a stage that I haven't reached, in His goodness.
As for me, I may become misguided or deviant in my own ways, and I
may end up disbelieving,
and then his ending will be better than my ending.
So let no person look down upon another.
May Allah make us, whether we judging people ourselves or
internationally,
may Allah make us of those beloved to Allah and His Prophet
and our beloved Prophet, sallAllahu, alayhi wa sallam,
describe those who are beloved to him in a hadith, the Prophet saw
them said in a Habakkuk mini Majlis and Yom al qayyma
Aha sinuk, halaka al Muay una aknafa aladina Ya Lafon away said
salaam Alaihi Wasallam, surely the most loved of person to me is the
one with the best character and the best behavior. And of course,
the Hadith says he'll be sitting closest to me. The person most
loved to me and closest to me in sitting on the day of qiyama, will
be the person the best character and the best behavior, one who
embodies humanity
and who is loving and lovable. The
Prophet
says Allah, a believer is loving and lovable. There's no goodness
in one who neither loves nor allows himself to be loved, and
the best of people are those who are most beneficial to humanity.
So he says, people who are most loved. To me, Rasulullah
sallallahu, alayhi wa sallam said, and closest to me in seating on
the day of qiyama, those with a good character, the best behavior,
those who embody humility, those who are loving and lovable, who
are in Abu habakku,
mini Majlis and Yo, I mean the people most I find most
distasteful and will be furthest from me,
who Are
those, those who go around belittling other people and
slandering them,
those causing division between loved ones
and those who seek fault with people a call yahada guastafu
Allah masala walaikum wa rahmatullahi.
Mashallah to Abu LAV, masha Allah, who once again came to honor us
with his presence. And what a beautiful talk that Sheik has
given us. May Allah, except from Shaykh Inshallah, allow Sheik
to grow from strength to strength and all the beautiful, sterling
work the sheik is doing. Mashallah, give Sheik the health
and the strength to keep on doing that. Amin ya rabal alameen, just
a few announcements. Jamaat al muslime, we have, once again
outstanding for Palestine March this afternoon, Inshallah, at 430
we reach out to the entire community Inshallah, to come
forth, bring the youth. I think, you know, if you look abroad, you
know we should be shy in the way that we gather for our brothers
and sisters in Palestine, the universities overseas. Masha
Allah, it, it stirred something in our university students. Now I saw
this morning in Stellenbosch, masha Allah,
how everyone, masha Allah, is standing and shouting the new,
beautiful chantings, you know, in solidarity with our Palestinian
brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers and children in Palestine,
may Allah, reward them for the efforts. Amin ya rapa Alamin, but
for us, you know, soften our hearts. Don't say that it's
awkward time. Say that I will make time. I will come. I will come
Inshallah, and we will stand together with nilaita, varakawa,
taala, and we will prove a point that we will stand with what is
right. Sheik Masha Allah, also touch base on a few of those.
Masha Allah, let us not be of those who will be deprived of
this. Amin ya rabal alameen, and then tonight, Inshallah, at the
masjid, we have a gathering for Ahmad rasa, all the youth, all the
community, can come out. It starts at 6pm It's a madrasa games
evening. Inshallah, please make your way to the masjid tonight. It
will be from six o'clock till about 10 o'clock. There will be
certain things for sale as well, Inshallah, and all the proceeds
will go towards the madrasa Amini. So may Allah reward you abundantly
for that. And then, once again, you know, as we've launched last
week that we attending to the needs of our community, once
again, our growing community to create additional space in
Alhamdulillah, an opportunity has risen for us to purchase a new
property in Alhamdulillah. We are in the process of that. We need to
have 3 million Rand by the 31st of May.
The giggles. I love the giggles. A lovely Wallahi. We've proved this
in the past. When did we prove this in covid?
In covid 19, you know, we made an announcement, and our community
came in three weeks. Was it three months? The building at the back
that you see there was standing three months the Allah, open up
your hearts once again. This is an opportunity. We can see how the
masjid look. People are sitting outside. You know, in sha Allah,
we try to make things easy for our Mu salun, Inshallah, that when
they come in, we are one of the masajid. Alhamdulillah, we say
this as Rasul say, Bella faqr. We are not boastful, but our Masjid
is growing, and it's growing. And our Masha Allah, not only big
nights and Jumuah, but it's becoming a trend that even our QAT
are being Masha Allah filling our Masjid. This is a good, good, good
sign from Allah. So I urge everyone, if you are not yet
coming to the masjid for the Oh god, you're missing out.
Somebody yesterday came to tell me we had a Nikah. And they come all
the way from the southern Sabbath after Isha. They said,
SubhanAllah. It was so far we thought, Ya Allah. But he said it
was a moment worth it. Why? Because when I entered the masjid,
I felt a sense of peace. I felt felt a sense of belonging. He
said, certain masajid, you go in, it just, you know, you don't feel
welcome. You know, it's not Allah Majid, there's no darkness. But he
said, sometimes you go in and you just feel that, you know, I must
just get in and get out. But he said, Yeah, even his son, that is
small and young, he said, Daddy, we don't want to leave. We must
stay here a little bit more. It's so nice. So this is what we try to
create a tuba, Allah allow us all to stand under tuba The Day of
Qiyamah. But before we can stand under that tuba, we need to fill
this tuba. May Allah allow us to do that. Amin, arapala, Alamin. So
Inshallah, a collection is starting today. Open your hearts.
Be generous. And Walla Allah is more generous than us. So if you
give Allah will give you more ever assist in building the house of
Allah will do similar for you. In the year after, you will have
castles in Jannah. You will not know where it come from, but it's
because of that small, little contribution that you made to the
house of Allah. Allah allow us to be a part of that. And then a
beautiful program is running where
the ladies. Masha Allah only for our ladies. Masjid uma Atari has a
program in sha Allah, Tala, Saturday the fourth of May,
starting after duhar. So be present for duha, for our ladies.
Inshallah, encourage your daughters to go. Encourage your
mothers, your sisters to go. Inshallah, Quran program will be
there inshaAllah start.
Thing after the world.
But Inshallah, we urge our ladies to be there for the world. Salah.
Inshallah, that will be masjid, Ummah in otri. I mean, ya rabal
alimin. And then we make dua for our Sikh in our community. First
of all, nuribai, who is not really enjoying the best of health. You
know, he was a treasurer for many years, still still alive. If you
go to him, he's still concerned about the Masjid. How is things at
the masjid? How's everyone in the masjid? How is everything coming
about? So make lots of dua for him. He's not enjoying the best of
health. May Allah guide the hands of the doctors in sha Allah, and
may we see him soon again do what he does brilliantly, and that is
serving the community. As Sheik has mentioned. Mentioned the best
of you are those who serve humanity in sha Allah. He's
definitely one of those. And then we have also
the dua for our learners who is currently writing, you know, we
know the end of the year is a big fuss of writing matric, but we
also have some of them that are writing now the matric exams. So
inshallah Tala, for those who are writing malo Tala, guide their
hands and grant them success in their studies and in the endeavors
further and the decision making. Inshallah, may Allah make it easy
for them to prosper in their future endeavors. Amin, rapa,
Alamin, and then we have a dua for a certain little girl. She's only
22 years old. Ya Allah, this really shook my heart. It brought
our eyes to tears that a girl of 22 years old has been diagnosed
with cancer and she will be undergoing a surgery soon.
Inshallah, I think it's today. It's a surgery today, Tuesday,
Tuesday. Her name is nashita. She She requested that we shouldn't
mention her surname, because many of us will know her. And she did
not reveal this to anybody, but she said just to do as please, so
we make to ayah, Allah, 22 years old. Allah test us in different
ways, but we can see that the Imaan must be on a very, very high
status with Allah for giving them such a difficult test, because we
will be test according to our faith, to our Imaan. And may Allah
grant them to pass the test in sha Allah, and grant this little girl
to return to a family in a better state that she was before
inshallah and play sovereign contentment in the Hearts of the
family members dark. Bless you all. Inshallah,
speaking, Allah, come on,
come Out.
Allah,
come on, Allah,
come Out.
Ahm
Oh,
I
Moment.
You
Allah.
Muhammad
Abu
as this beautiful Juma added we've received and also the beautiful
announcements that we've made. There's a parking violation that
somebody mentioned to me every week. This happens. It's a Toyota,
I don't know who it is, Cy two, double three, double one, six,
blocking the way every week.
It seems like the musalia is very, very disturbed already. That is
happening every week. And we are Muslim, and we're coming to the
masjid. How do we want our Jummah to be accepted? Please, let us
just
abide by the laws and then also the whole Fiona Christian are
blocked because of us. The whole Fiona Christian, just the way to
be parked, is a Honda, and I don't know what's the other car on the
opposite side, no car will be able to drive past in the road.
Literally, yes. Jamato Muslim, please. You know, we cannot carry
on like this. Here. We are embarking on a new journey trying
to build what do we think those who are not of our faith will be
thinking of us? Please, let us clear our hearts and our minds,
and when we come to Jumaa, let me know that we come in the right,
proper manner inshaAllah. May Allah bless May Allah forgive us,
