Walead Mosaad
AI: Summary ©
The speakers discuss the importance of staying in a certain area and avoiding travel, as it is a mercy for believers and that people are seeking forgiveness. They also discuss the negative consequences of parenting a sick parent, including the negative consequences of parenting a sick parent, the negative impact of parenting a sick parent on their health, and the importance of resetting behavior and avoiding bad behavior. They also mention the "monster behavior" as a way to avoid negative consequences and the importance of finding a balance between normalcy and "monster behavior."

So this will handle learning overnight. I mean,

00:00:11 --> 00:00:13

along Sunday we'll sit down with Eric. I'm a Bucha. I mean, so you

00:00:13 --> 00:00:19

didn't have you didn't mind. Well, that. So thank you all for

00:00:19 --> 00:00:23

participating and coming. This originally was supposed to be a

00:00:24 --> 00:00:27

lecture that is done, I believe monthly here in Cairo where I am

00:00:27 --> 00:00:31

right now, in Medina, that's put on by some of the students of

00:00:31 --> 00:00:36

knowledge in here in Cairo. We're supposed to be there in person,

00:00:36 --> 00:00:39

actually, originally tonight, and then we'll change it tomorrow

00:00:39 --> 00:00:45

night, but due to the current circumstances, so it's going to be

00:00:46 --> 00:00:50

online and we opened it up for others who are interested. And the

00:00:50 --> 00:00:53

original topic was supposed to be

00:00:54 --> 00:01:01

from Iman to excel, which I think is actually very apt and

00:01:01 --> 00:01:05

appropriate, considering the current circumstances

00:01:06 --> 00:01:12

of a worldwide plague, as it were, or worldwide. Tar will.

00:01:13 --> 00:01:17

Corona Coronavirus. So, what I would like to do

00:01:19 --> 00:01:21

is share some thoughts about that and then maybe talk a little bit

00:01:21 --> 00:01:25

more about the main topic, which I think is related to,

00:01:27 --> 00:01:29

to or human to asset.

00:01:30 --> 00:01:34

So there are some Hadith from the prophets I send them specifically

00:01:34 --> 00:01:39

about the situation we're in. I think one of them ones that I

00:01:39 --> 00:01:43

think are most appropriate is the one that Isha the wife of the

00:01:43 --> 00:01:44

Prophet Sarson relates

00:01:45 --> 00:01:46

where she says

00:01:51 --> 00:01:53

so that was sort of I sort of set them on fire when she asked the

00:01:53 --> 00:01:57

province or similar battle to our 1000 means just any sort of war

00:01:57 --> 00:01:58

that or type of

00:02:00 --> 00:02:04

pandemic or epidemic as a word for what all of your laws are send

00:02:04 --> 00:02:07

them and then we can then you battle with law who are that many

00:02:07 --> 00:02:12

are sharp, fragile doesn't matter to me for days I mean, I've done

00:02:12 --> 00:02:12

yoga

00:02:13 --> 00:02:17

for him because of the value of you know if he beta he saw we run

00:02:17 --> 00:02:21

the demo on our own we'll see you know, in Marketo L'Aquila in

00:02:21 --> 00:02:23

Canada or Mexico or just Shaheed

00:02:25 --> 00:02:29

so when she asked the province RSM about this thought ruin, or this

00:02:29 --> 00:02:34

pandemic, the prophet of God, sorry, send them informed her that

00:02:34 --> 00:02:38

it used to be a type of punishment that Allah would send to him he

00:02:38 --> 00:02:39

wishes

00:02:40 --> 00:02:44

aluminium ship, fragile little rock with meaning, so a lot

00:02:44 --> 00:02:49

smarter than mediate a mercy for the believers. For at least I mean

00:02:49 --> 00:02:54

Aberdeen, there is not a servant of God yet Darwin that Darwin or

00:02:54 --> 00:02:59

the pandemic comes to them or their area of humanity, Alfie

00:02:59 --> 00:03:03

Beatty, so they stay in their city or in their house, saw the run

00:03:03 --> 00:03:08

with forbearance with patients, Dr level and then you'll see in the

00:03:08 --> 00:03:12

market of Allah, knowing that nothing will come to him except

00:03:12 --> 00:03:17

that which Allah has decreed for him or her in Canada who miss

00:03:17 --> 00:03:22

LuaJIT Shaheed, except that they will have the reward of the

00:03:22 --> 00:03:25

Shaheed they'll have like are similar to the reward of the

00:03:25 --> 00:03:29

Shaheed or the one who is martyred. And other hadith is said

00:03:29 --> 00:03:34

and multiroom. Shaheed the one who actually dies from a type of

00:03:34 --> 00:03:39

plague or pandemic, also, not also but is considered to be a Shaheed

00:03:40 --> 00:03:43

whereas here it says they have a reward similar to the Shaheed so

00:03:43 --> 00:03:48

your understanding is not that they die from it was a ceremony.

00:03:48 --> 00:03:53

But if it comes to that particular area, then they have the reward of

00:03:53 --> 00:03:58

the Shaheed, but with two conditions, at least one

00:03:59 --> 00:04:03

young, crucial female lady. So to remain in one area, because

00:04:03 --> 00:04:05

there's other Hadith had mentioned, if you ever hear of a

00:04:05 --> 00:04:09

plague or a pandemic somewhere, don't go to that area. And if it

00:04:09 --> 00:04:13

happens where you are, don't leave that area, if you are doing it, to

00:04:13 --> 00:04:15

run away from it, if there are other reasons for travel, they

00:04:15 --> 00:04:18

said there's legitimate reasons for if you have a sick parent that

00:04:18 --> 00:04:22

you need to go to or something like that. It's different. But if

00:04:22 --> 00:04:25

you're doing it for Iran, right, if you're doing it to run away

00:04:25 --> 00:04:30

from it, then that is what is the province are selling prohibited.

00:04:30 --> 00:04:34

So the first condition for mobility, so to stay to remain in

00:04:34 --> 00:04:38

your city or in your house, and then the second one, solid Milan

00:04:38 --> 00:04:42

with forbearance. And then you could probably say the sentence

00:04:42 --> 00:04:46

after this German FC area of what saw that I mean, so what's how

00:04:46 --> 00:04:49

does how does one be forbearance and that it's a state of the heart

00:04:49 --> 00:04:52

yiadom We're not relentlessly but who in the market of Allahu Allah,

00:04:53 --> 00:04:58

knowing that nothing will happen to one except that which Allah has

00:04:58 --> 00:04:58

decreed for one

00:05:00 --> 00:05:03

And what really struck me about the words of our profits are

00:05:03 --> 00:05:07

seldom is it called the rough Mateljan meaning that it's a mercy

00:05:08 --> 00:05:13

for the believers and that it used to be sent as an as a kind of a

00:05:13 --> 00:05:17

bath or can a bathroom. Yeah. And in the past, one of the things

00:05:17 --> 00:05:21

that we know about the human family are the home of the Prophet

00:05:21 --> 00:05:25

Muhammad SAW a settlement, which includes everyone, both Muslim and

00:05:25 --> 00:05:29

non Muslim, after the time of the batter after the time of the

00:05:29 --> 00:05:33

coming of the Prophet commissar settlement is that there is no

00:05:33 --> 00:05:36

collective punishment from the last panel. So the things that we

00:05:36 --> 00:05:40

read about in the Quran that happened to previous Oman, to

00:05:40 --> 00:05:44

previous communities and previous nations like that have a higher

00:05:44 --> 00:05:49

than say, mood and Komu, on Route, all of those different peoples of

00:05:49 --> 00:05:53

the different prophets. None of that will come in that way in that

00:05:53 --> 00:05:58

matter to the OMA of Mohamed Salah very similar kind of entity who

00:05:58 --> 00:06:02

will not get along while they will bomb your stuff. And Allah will

00:06:02 --> 00:06:05

not send a punishment to them, and you are amongst them. And we know

00:06:05 --> 00:06:08

that the Prophet SAW said him if he's not amongst us in body, he is

00:06:08 --> 00:06:11

amongst us in spirit, or other when a few komatsuna Allah, I know

00:06:11 --> 00:06:15

that the Messenger of Allah Azza wa sallam is amongst you. And

00:06:18 --> 00:06:21

Allah will not send a punishment with whom you're stuck. And they

00:06:21 --> 00:06:27

are seeking forgiveness. So this, this is what's happening now. To

00:06:27 --> 00:06:32

many, it's unprecedented, hasn't happened. It's it appears in this

00:06:32 --> 00:06:37

magnitude on this scale, since probably the 1918, Spanish flu,

00:06:37 --> 00:06:41

which was some 50 million people perished in that particular

00:06:42 --> 00:06:45

pandemic, hopefully, in sha Allah, that's not going to be the case

00:06:45 --> 00:06:48

this time, and it doesn't appear that's going to be the case, isn't

00:06:48 --> 00:06:48

it later Allah.

00:06:50 --> 00:06:50

However,

00:06:52 --> 00:06:58

the concept is the same. Namely, that this happens every once in a

00:06:58 --> 00:07:02

while, and it is for the believers, it is a mercy for the

00:07:02 --> 00:07:06

believers. And then one might ask, well, then how was it a mercy, it

00:07:06 --> 00:07:09

seems like it's another, it seems like it's a punishment seems like

00:07:10 --> 00:07:15

very negative, and in a matter of speaking, that a lot, he's

00:07:16 --> 00:07:21

exerting His wrath upon humanity, because he's upset with them. And

00:07:21 --> 00:07:23

one may think of it in this way. But I think a more productive way

00:07:23 --> 00:07:30

to think of it is, if you think of the earth, not just its physical

00:07:30 --> 00:07:34

aspects, but also its spiritual aspects, you know, as a kind of a

00:07:34 --> 00:07:37

living, both body and spirit.

00:07:39 --> 00:07:43

We know that in the next life, that the Earth itself will speak,

00:07:43 --> 00:07:46

that Allah subhanaw taala, will cause the earth itself to speak

00:07:46 --> 00:07:50

and speak about the things that were done on the face of it, and

00:07:50 --> 00:07:55

will tell tales and will tell all that was done upon it, both from

00:07:55 --> 00:07:59

good and from bad, from the human beings that natural upon it. And

00:07:59 --> 00:08:04

so there is kind of this almost sold like quality, you know, on a

00:08:04 --> 00:08:07

kind of collective basis, like the Earth is a single organism.

00:08:08 --> 00:08:11

And not just the physical, biological organism, but also one

00:08:11 --> 00:08:15

could say, a spiritual organism. And so when

00:08:16 --> 00:08:20

I think periodically, the Earth will come and say, enough is

00:08:20 --> 00:08:24

enough, so to speak. So, this happens in the forms of

00:08:24 --> 00:08:29

earthquakes in the form of tsunamis, other things, you know,

00:08:29 --> 00:08:33

which is a type of in thought, you know, it's a type of communication

00:08:33 --> 00:08:35

or the speaking to us, of course, Allah subhanaw taala, how old are

00:08:35 --> 00:08:39

the Takahashi, Allah, Allah, the One who gives us ability to

00:08:39 --> 00:08:44

everything. And in a sense, it's like a reset

00:08:45 --> 00:08:51

for humanity, and maybe we were in dire need of such a reset, to, you

00:08:51 --> 00:08:55

know, to go back to ourselves to ponder, to reflect, to

00:08:55 --> 00:09:01

contemplate, to take a step back, to reconsider the consequences of

00:09:01 --> 00:09:05

our actions, both as individuals and both as families, as

00:09:05 --> 00:09:10

communities as nations. And it's interesting that this thing that

00:09:10 --> 00:09:13

you can't really see, I mean, we believe it's there, because the

00:09:13 --> 00:09:15

scientists tell us that it's there, and they can see it on your

00:09:15 --> 00:09:18

microscope. But something that is so small that it can't be seen

00:09:18 --> 00:09:19

with the naked eye,

00:09:20 --> 00:09:26

but yet so potent, that it has brought down entire world economy,

00:09:27 --> 00:09:31

that it has caused people to no longer go to work to longer and

00:09:31 --> 00:09:35

see each other, to no longer travel, to remain confined in

00:09:35 --> 00:09:40

their homes almost in a sense, like prisoners, I think that we

00:09:40 --> 00:09:44

can't even see and yet we, we ascribe to us all of this power.

00:09:45 --> 00:09:49

So what about Allah subhanaw taala? Who was behind all of this?

00:09:49 --> 00:09:53

Who was the one that nothing moves and nothing stays still in the

00:09:53 --> 00:09:57

universe except by His will and by His power and by his Kadima in

00:09:57 --> 00:09:58

laws are shaking out

00:10:00 --> 00:10:05

If he wants something to be done, he will say Be and it is. So it's

00:10:05 --> 00:10:08

a time for I think, reflection, this is something we've heard from

00:10:08 --> 00:10:12

our teachers, from our own spiritual guides that

00:10:13 --> 00:10:15

this is going to be in Charlotte, good thing for humanity, it's

00:10:15 --> 00:10:16

going to be,

00:10:17 --> 00:10:20

of course, we, those who have been afflicted by the virus or have

00:10:21 --> 00:10:25

succumb to it, or we don't wish any of that to happen upon them,

00:10:25 --> 00:10:28

we would not be so crude as to say that they deserved it or anything

00:10:28 --> 00:10:33

in the sense. But in sha Allah, if they're believers, they have the,

00:10:33 --> 00:10:37

the shahada, that they will be like the martyrs, in fact, amongst

00:10:37 --> 00:10:42

the martyrs in the next life, and those who are patient and

00:10:42 --> 00:10:46

forbearance, and remain steadfast in the face of it,

00:10:47 --> 00:10:51

you know, in that pay a sub Rosa, it's just being patient and

00:10:51 --> 00:10:55

forbearing for moments, knowing that in the fall, watch the

00:10:55 --> 00:10:59

opening, and that the release, from affliction and from calamity

00:10:59 --> 00:11:02

can only come by Allah subhanaw taala. And so

00:11:03 --> 00:11:10

one of the names of God is our Cebu. Right. And they say that in

00:11:10 --> 00:11:13

order to get to a level of Sn, which takes us kind of into the

00:11:13 --> 00:11:19

topic I want to talk about from from Eman to xn, is that there has

00:11:19 --> 00:11:20

to be at the hello there so that

00:11:21 --> 00:11:26

that won't take on the divine attributes of God. In other words,

00:11:26 --> 00:11:28

the divine attributes that are applicable for humanity.

00:11:30 --> 00:11:32

Some of them are not applicable for humanity, some of the

00:11:32 --> 00:11:36

attributes of Jeunesse the attributes of magnificence, so

00:11:36 --> 00:11:39

Allah subhanaw, taala, or it could be in Malta, and

00:11:40 --> 00:11:43

He is the great and Motorhead, the one who was most high,

00:11:44 --> 00:11:48

these things are not applicable for humanity. How was your bar our

00:11:49 --> 00:11:51

legit annual crop?

00:11:52 --> 00:11:56

Alcohol, these are these are attributes of Jenelle. And they

00:11:56 --> 00:12:01

say, what's left to unlock. So to unlock means that you

00:12:03 --> 00:12:08

see everything in the universe as digitally or as a manifestation

00:12:08 --> 00:12:11

via your or look, via your connection with these attributes.

00:12:12 --> 00:12:14

And that everything in the universe is merely a manifestation

00:12:14 --> 00:12:18

of that. So nothing has its its own individual independent power

00:12:19 --> 00:12:22

of Allah subhanaw taala such a thing is impossible. Everything

00:12:22 --> 00:12:27

comes from Allah subhanaw taala. And so when we say in the learning

00:12:27 --> 00:12:29

or in either here or on your own, which is what we're supposed to

00:12:29 --> 00:12:33

say, upon a calamity, and that is also the two most events would

00:12:33 --> 00:12:35

call you, in any learning or in

00:12:37 --> 00:12:40

the ones when a calamity performs them. The other ones that say we

00:12:40 --> 00:12:45

are for Allah, and we are returning to Allah. In other

00:12:45 --> 00:12:47

words, we're already in the process of returning to a lost

00:12:47 --> 00:12:52

battle. Tada. So the reminders that all of this is from the last

00:12:52 --> 00:12:59

panel that the reminders that we don't have any sort of power, we

00:12:59 --> 00:13:05

don't have any sort of errata in auditing, we don't have any Willer

00:13:05 --> 00:13:08

intent outside of the with an intent of Allah subhanaw taala.

00:13:09 --> 00:13:11

And of course, before all of this came about before any calamity

00:13:11 --> 00:13:14

that came about, I think if we were asked this question three

00:13:14 --> 00:13:18

weeks ago, before really had an inkling of what was to come, we

00:13:18 --> 00:13:20

would have all said, Yes, of course, we know that.

00:13:22 --> 00:13:25

You know that that's his degree. And we all believe in this. And we

00:13:25 --> 00:13:28

would even affirm that now. However,

00:13:30 --> 00:13:37

if we feel panic, if we feel anxious, if we feel an edge, if we

00:13:37 --> 00:13:37

feel

00:13:39 --> 00:13:42

distressed, because we don't know what's going to happen in the

00:13:42 --> 00:13:46

future, then these are indications that even though we may say with

00:13:46 --> 00:13:51

our tongues, that hold our authority level, or when we're in

00:13:51 --> 00:13:55

the in the Herradura, that we believe those things, but they may

00:13:55 --> 00:13:59

have not penetrated. So he that also means, you know the innermost

00:13:59 --> 00:14:04

part of the spiritual heart, because calmness and stillness

00:14:04 --> 00:14:08

even in the face of these events, would be an indication that there

00:14:08 --> 00:14:14

is some now not just the level of Eman but also a level of accent.

00:14:14 --> 00:14:18

So accent as described in the Hadith of the prophets are so

00:14:18 --> 00:14:21

terrible the luck and like I thought I feel different or often

00:14:21 --> 00:14:24

we rock to worship Allah subhanaw taala as if you see him but know

00:14:24 --> 00:14:28

that if you do not see him that he sees you. So it is a more

00:14:28 --> 00:14:29

immediate,

00:14:30 --> 00:14:35

what we call selfie or Shuddhi. We use words that indicate

00:14:36 --> 00:14:39

physical reception, even though Allah talk that is not physically

00:14:39 --> 00:14:43

perceptible. That's why the Hadith says that we'll look into kuthodaw

00:14:43 --> 00:14:47

worship God as if you see him so you can't see him in the pure

00:14:47 --> 00:14:52

physical sense. But you can see him so to speak with the ball

00:14:52 --> 00:14:55

Sierra, you know with the inner eye with the spiritual eyes, so in

00:14:55 --> 00:14:59

the spiritual sense, and that is that your actions then you

00:15:00 --> 00:15:06

would be informed completely by shahada or by witnessing or a

00:15:06 --> 00:15:12

tasting of Allah's Mercy of Allah is manifesting and all that is and

00:15:12 --> 00:15:15

all that ever will be. And, you know, what did the prophets are

00:15:15 --> 00:15:18

send them say to Abu Bakr Siddiq, when they find themselves in a

00:15:18 --> 00:15:24

similar situation in the cave, when all of the subordinate spend

00:15:25 --> 00:15:29

nothing yet. So all of the things that are considered to be a means

00:15:29 --> 00:15:34

by which one can take proper means to avoid certain calamities. All

00:15:34 --> 00:15:40

of those things have been used up, and there are no left. So what did

00:15:40 --> 00:15:43

he say talking about the city? He said? What do you think of the

00:15:43 --> 00:15:47

third one was with us is Allah subhanaw? taala? Maruka Allah with

00:15:47 --> 00:15:51

30? What do you think about the third one? And in the Quran, that

00:15:51 --> 00:15:57

Allah has an in Allah, man, don't grieve? A loss all data is with

00:15:57 --> 00:16:03

us. So this man here, now yeah means that Allah is with you. It's

00:16:03 --> 00:16:06

an ontological as a as the academics and philosophers would

00:16:06 --> 00:16:10

say, an ontological reality. In other words, it is an existential

00:16:10 --> 00:16:13

fact Allah is with us. There's no doubt about it.

00:16:14 --> 00:16:15

How is he with us?

00:16:16 --> 00:16:21

He's with us in the sense that nothing escapes him, nothing can

00:16:21 --> 00:16:25

go by him, nothing is outside of his knowledge, nothing is outside

00:16:25 --> 00:16:28

of his will. Nothing is outside of his power. So as a result, Allah

00:16:28 --> 00:16:29

Subhana Allah is with us.

00:16:31 --> 00:16:34

Remember, the deal even went on to say that, and many of the other

00:16:34 --> 00:16:38

than that if Allah's knowledge is with us and his powers with us,

00:16:38 --> 00:16:42

and his knowledge and power are technically indistinct and

00:16:42 --> 00:16:46

inseparable from his essence, then that also means that Allah's

00:16:46 --> 00:16:49

essence is with us, of course, without polluting at heart,

00:16:49 --> 00:16:52

without thinking that Allah is actually physically with us or

00:16:53 --> 00:16:58

contained within us. That's not the Muslims. But that is with us

00:16:58 --> 00:17:01

in a manner that is commensurate with the majesty of almost all

00:17:01 --> 00:17:05

time. And this is word of mouth that is secondary was referring to

00:17:06 --> 00:17:10

when he said that every bliss couldn't even or in an hour at

00:17:10 --> 00:17:15

Masahiro for Victor Robbie, he will be sure. He said every bliss

00:17:15 --> 00:17:20

that we can come to find and every beautiful thing come to find, even

00:17:20 --> 00:17:24

though Valhalla in the outward aspect of things, it looks like

00:17:24 --> 00:17:27

many, many things comes in different ways. It comes in

00:17:28 --> 00:17:32

health, it comes in wealth, it comes in long life. It comes in

00:17:32 --> 00:17:35

the form of marriage, and it comes in the form of having children and

00:17:35 --> 00:17:39

it comes in the form of bearded lady Dane and being good to one's

00:17:39 --> 00:17:42

parents. These are all manifestations of bliss and

00:17:42 --> 00:17:45

beautiful things in life. But they returned to one thing really at

00:17:45 --> 00:17:46

the end of the day.

00:17:48 --> 00:17:53

For the lobby he was shocked at, it's by being peaceful. Perceiving

00:17:53 --> 00:17:56

the closeness of God to you, we're not going to even have anybody, we

00:17:56 --> 00:18:00

are closer to you than the carded artery or the jugular vein. And

00:18:00 --> 00:18:06

having a perception of that, all the time, not just momentarily, in

00:18:06 --> 00:18:09

certain ritual aspects of Islam, while we were praying or making

00:18:09 --> 00:18:13

the spear with the CIPA, or we're calling upon Allah subhanaw taala

00:18:13 --> 00:18:15

into and supplication. But

00:18:16 --> 00:18:19

in all times in all affairs, in fact, indeed, in every breath,

00:18:20 --> 00:18:23

having a perception of a loss volatile and all of those moments.

00:18:23 --> 00:18:27

In other words, I wish I had seen him before everything and after

00:18:27 --> 00:18:31

everything and as the power over everything and the one to remove

00:18:31 --> 00:18:35

things and the one to put things there to take them away. And

00:18:35 --> 00:18:38

everything that we see around us and beginning with ourselves.

00:18:39 --> 00:18:45

Then this is type of zolty. Amen. Right. It's a type of more

00:18:47 --> 00:18:51

spiritual, really based or active Eman not just the amount of

00:18:51 --> 00:18:55

listing things to believe in. But an Amen, that is actually

00:18:55 --> 00:19:01

informing every single molecule and cell in your body. And not

00:19:01 --> 00:19:04

just your physical body but your your spiritual presence. That type

00:19:04 --> 00:19:09

of event then is going towards BSN and the prophets are some of them

00:19:09 --> 00:19:10

you will email Islam.

00:19:13 --> 00:19:17

And it wasn't enough that he was asked about Islamic Eman. But he

00:19:17 --> 00:19:23

also talked about this aspect of ESL. So I believe many of our

00:19:23 --> 00:19:26

teachers I think will feel the same way that what is happening

00:19:26 --> 00:19:29

now it's good for the Ummah, it's good for the community. We may not

00:19:29 --> 00:19:33

see it that way right now. But I think if we come out of this,

00:19:34 --> 00:19:35

which we will watch out a lot.

00:19:36 --> 00:19:40

We're going to come out of it in a way where our

00:19:41 --> 00:19:47

man will then have the opportunity to be at this level of accent. And

00:19:48 --> 00:19:53

one of the closest ways to achieve that is sometimes in the masiva in

00:19:53 --> 00:19:57

the calamity, right? A little bit longer to Nafa We hear it all the

00:19:57 --> 00:19:59

time. It's like method set. It's like a proper

00:20:00 --> 00:20:03

But it's true. Perhaps something that you see as dog, as you see as

00:20:03 --> 00:20:08

damaging or hurtful or as negative is now found there's a benefit in

00:20:08 --> 00:20:12

it. And we know that for you to, you know, document that in the

00:20:12 --> 00:20:17

folds of the, of the Mehan of the of the of the trials and

00:20:17 --> 00:20:21

tribulations, there are many, there are gifts. So one of the

00:20:21 --> 00:20:24

things we should be looking out for these days, perhaps weeks,

00:20:24 --> 00:20:28

maybe even months are ahead, that we should be availing ourselves of

00:20:28 --> 00:20:33

these minutes, availing ourselves of these divine blessings. And

00:20:33 --> 00:20:37

these divine blessings might often come in the way of things that are

00:20:37 --> 00:20:41

unexpected. You may have certain realizations, you may

00:20:42 --> 00:20:48

contemplate things and then see, not just by Tasneem, right Tasneem

00:20:48 --> 00:20:51

is acquiescing to things and understanding it. And that's a

00:20:51 --> 00:20:55

very important aspect of the man. But you can also have an aspect of

00:20:55 --> 00:20:58

that essential good, which is Allah subhanaw taala gives you

00:20:58 --> 00:21:02

some insight, some glimpse into why things are the way they are,

00:21:02 --> 00:21:04

and into why things are happening in the matter that they're

00:21:04 --> 00:21:05

happening.

00:21:06 --> 00:21:10

And when you begin to see things in this way, then the Hadith of

00:21:10 --> 00:21:14

the prophets why Selim will start to apply to us, the one who says

00:21:14 --> 00:21:18

adjuvant mean, I'm gonna hook on the hive. I'll be wondering, it is

00:21:18 --> 00:21:22

for the believer that all of his affair is good. So all of her is

00:21:22 --> 00:21:26

good in that he sees or she sees, everything is good, nothing is

00:21:27 --> 00:21:31

outside of the will of God. So how can it possibly be negative, and

00:21:31 --> 00:21:35

it is the way of the people of Allah subhanaw taala and Allah,

00:21:35 --> 00:21:38

that they don't perceive things that happened to them necessarily

00:21:38 --> 00:21:41

as punishments, they're actually seen as opportunities. So

00:21:41 --> 00:21:45

opportunities to grow closer to Allah subhanaw taala opportunities

00:21:45 --> 00:21:50

for tech field zoo, the minimum thing is that it will expiate

00:21:50 --> 00:21:54

those things, if we receive kind of the calamity in this life. When

00:21:54 --> 00:21:57

we go through the files on this life, then we avoid them in the

00:21:57 --> 00:22:02

next, this is called expiation, or textualism. And even at a higher

00:22:02 --> 00:22:05

level, it's not just excluded, remove, it's not exclusion of

00:22:05 --> 00:22:09

sins. But it's also rough. I've done it yet. It's been raised in

00:22:09 --> 00:22:13

Rankin being raised in degree. And we know that there's, there's a

00:22:13 --> 00:22:17

spiritual hierarchy, both this life and in the next. And the

00:22:17 --> 00:22:19

Spiritual Hierarchy. People can avail themselves of that, and no

00:22:19 --> 00:22:23

one knows where anyone is, we don't say we know. But Allah

00:22:23 --> 00:22:27

subhanaw taala knows and Allah subhanaw taala, based upon your

00:22:27 --> 00:22:31

ability, and your you know, if you're from Adelina wetland

00:22:31 --> 00:22:35

fossils, if you from the DNA of Allah subhanaw taala, your laws

00:22:35 --> 00:22:38

paying special attention to you, then these things will come about

00:22:38 --> 00:22:41

to you, these things will cross over you. And you'll come out as a

00:22:41 --> 00:22:46

better believer. So yes, we should be taking all of this step, we

00:22:46 --> 00:22:47

should be following the

00:22:49 --> 00:22:54

the guidance and instructions of those who are experts in pandemics

00:22:54 --> 00:22:58

and epidemiology and in public health and how those things spread

00:22:58 --> 00:23:01

and what we should be doing. So if they say that we should isolate,

00:23:01 --> 00:23:04

and that we should practice social distancing, and we should be

00:23:04 --> 00:23:06

washing our hands frequently, then those are things we should be

00:23:06 --> 00:23:11

doing. And from a fitness perspective, if also we are told

00:23:11 --> 00:23:16

that having joining in groups, no matter how small they are, if

00:23:16 --> 00:23:19

they're 10, or less or more that this can lead to the spread of the

00:23:19 --> 00:23:24

disease, then we take that as a piece of the puzzle, and in Africa

00:23:24 --> 00:23:28

rulings, and then we can say that one should approach them, or that

00:23:28 --> 00:23:31

one shouldn't pray in the congregational prayer, based upon

00:23:31 --> 00:23:35

such things. Because the clip, it's an allele, right?

00:23:36 --> 00:23:39

The, the legitimate

00:23:40 --> 00:23:44

application of what we call tension roba. Right, referred to

00:23:44 --> 00:23:49

as that which occurs repetitively. So then we say it's hard for me to

00:23:49 --> 00:23:53

either, so that which we know based upon past experience, is how

00:23:53 --> 00:23:56

things happen, then we take that into consideration. So if we're

00:23:56 --> 00:23:59

told that if these types of if we come together as a group, there's

00:23:59 --> 00:24:01

a greater chance we're spreading the disease, and so we should

00:24:01 --> 00:24:05

separate them separate. And then that becomes not just a scientific

00:24:05 --> 00:24:09

ruling becomes a fifth ruling. So Allah subhanaw taala told us to

00:24:09 --> 00:24:14

take with a spat, right, he told us to follow the spell. And if you

00:24:14 --> 00:24:17

do something other than that, right, if you say, well, it's for

00:24:17 --> 00:24:19

a law and this piece of the law, and we're coming together to

00:24:19 --> 00:24:22

praise Him and supplicate to him, so we're gonna go to the machine

00:24:22 --> 00:24:24

anyway. Or we're going to have this big gathering of people.

00:24:25 --> 00:24:25

Anyway.

00:24:27 --> 00:24:29

That is akin to making a claim.

00:24:30 --> 00:24:33

It's like saying, I am amongst the elite. I am I am very high in the

00:24:33 --> 00:24:37

spiritual hierarchy with Allah subhanaw taala. So, for me, Allah

00:24:37 --> 00:24:39

subhanaw taala takes away or

00:24:41 --> 00:24:46

puts me to access outside of intermediary causes so I can

00:24:46 --> 00:24:51

transcend the ASVAB and that's a very, very big claim to make. And

00:24:51 --> 00:24:55

even those who were have had it in a while and also Annaleigh. Even

00:24:55 --> 00:24:57

people who have that category. They don't make such claims.

00:24:59 --> 00:24:59

They

00:25:00 --> 00:25:02

also take that step. And the best example of that is our Prophet

00:25:02 --> 00:25:03

Muhammad.

00:25:04 --> 00:25:08

privatised Salam always did that. And in fact, in the Hadith that we

00:25:08 --> 00:25:13

just read, he said, The saw that, right William Kofi Beatty, one who

00:25:13 --> 00:25:17

stays in their house and what was starboard and was Makdessi edger.

00:25:17 --> 00:25:18

On the law, someone who was

00:25:19 --> 00:25:22

looking forward to the edge of the reward with Allah Spano Tata and

00:25:22 --> 00:25:26

this patient in forbearance, this is part of taking the ASVAB,

00:25:26 --> 00:25:29

right, it's part of following the intermediary, intermediary and

00:25:30 --> 00:25:33

intermediaries and the causes that lead to certain thing, certain

00:25:33 --> 00:25:39

things. So otherwise, we're making a very, very big claim upon Allah

00:25:39 --> 00:25:43

subhanaw taala. And that is not something that is befitting of the

00:25:43 --> 00:25:47

servant of God, or the one who was in a state of the or in the one

00:25:47 --> 00:25:52

who was in the state of the asset. So we ask Allah subhanaw taala,

00:25:52 --> 00:25:56

which I love to lift this burden to lift this affliction. For upon

00:25:56 --> 00:26:01

problem, we ask Allah subhanaw taala to spare us its grief, and

00:26:01 --> 00:26:04

spares its tribulation and sparrows, this calamity, and to

00:26:04 --> 00:26:10

give us a sense of its armor, and its benefit, and that we come out

00:26:10 --> 00:26:12

of this as better believers as better Muslims

00:26:14 --> 00:26:19

as better people in the specific roles and play in life. So you

00:26:19 --> 00:26:22

know, this has caused families to, to kind of come together, people

00:26:22 --> 00:26:25

are spending a lot more time with each other in the houses than

00:26:25 --> 00:26:31

they're used to. So much more family time. And while some may

00:26:31 --> 00:26:35

see that as sort of a kind of thing to be avoided, it's a

00:26:35 --> 00:26:39

benefit. And it's something that we should take advantage of, to

00:26:39 --> 00:26:42

get to know our spouses better to get to know our children better to

00:26:42 --> 00:26:47

get to know our parents better to attend to their needs to develop,

00:26:47 --> 00:26:52

you know, more of a, you know, this, this Prophetic practice of

00:26:52 --> 00:26:56

listening, so much of the world is focused on talking and speaking

00:26:56 --> 00:27:00

and putting out a message that we don't leave a lot of time to

00:27:00 --> 00:27:04

actually listen and hear other people and study other people and

00:27:04 --> 00:27:07

see, you know, not just the messages, not just the words that

00:27:07 --> 00:27:10

come out of their mouths, but the messages that sometimes remain

00:27:10 --> 00:27:13

silent within their heart. And you can't really get to a level of

00:27:14 --> 00:27:17

type of relationship with someone like that, if it remains a casual

00:27:17 --> 00:27:20

relationship has to be more of a profound relationship. So it's

00:27:20 --> 00:27:23

ironic that all of the things that cause a lot of California in the

00:27:23 --> 00:27:27

world, you know, the the bars and the cinemas, and the gyms and

00:27:27 --> 00:27:31

movie theaters, and all of those things that cause much

00:27:31 --> 00:27:37

distraction, are closed for now, are canceled for now, the sports

00:27:37 --> 00:27:41

seasons, the English Premier League, the Champions League, the

00:27:41 --> 00:27:42

NHL, the NBA,

00:27:43 --> 00:27:47

and Major League Baseball all either canceled for the season or

00:27:47 --> 00:27:50

postponed so many, many of those things that will kind of we'll

00:27:50 --> 00:27:51

hear

00:27:52 --> 00:27:58

artificial things that really are just passing of time and bring

00:27:58 --> 00:28:01

about an actual benefit. Now we begin to see what's actually

00:28:02 --> 00:28:05

important, what's not, it's the things that remain open are the

00:28:05 --> 00:28:08

pharmacies and the hospitals and the supermarkets, the basic

00:28:09 --> 00:28:12

necessities of people that which they actually need and then we

00:28:12 --> 00:28:14

figured out that all those other things, we can actually live

00:28:14 --> 00:28:18

without them, we don't need them so much. So it's an opportunity

00:28:18 --> 00:28:22

really, it's like a, you know, it's like humanity is fasting. You

00:28:22 --> 00:28:26

know, we're fasting from all of the things that that kind of take

00:28:26 --> 00:28:29

us away from a lost battle data. The only question that remains is

00:28:29 --> 00:28:34

when we break our fast, right, now we're ready to go back to life, at

00:28:34 --> 00:28:38

least some normalcy of it. What type of normalcy you're going to

00:28:38 --> 00:28:41

practice every single person on the face of the planet. So how

00:28:41 --> 00:28:44

long have their, their routine has been disrupted?

00:28:45 --> 00:28:48

Right, because if this pandemic is all over the place, that means

00:28:48 --> 00:28:50

every single person, nearly every single person on the face of the

00:28:50 --> 00:28:54

planet, their routine is disrupted. And that's very much

00:28:54 --> 00:28:57

one of the themes actually of Ramadan, which is coming up. Very

00:28:57 --> 00:28:58

quickly, in less than a month and a half.

00:29:00 --> 00:29:04

The American human of human logic will be showering. May Allah bless

00:29:04 --> 00:29:07

us in that which remains of Rajab, this beautiful month and the next

00:29:07 --> 00:29:11

month of Shabbat in the month of the prophesy center, and also to

00:29:11 --> 00:29:13

arrive the Ramadan. So one of the themes is the disruption of

00:29:13 --> 00:29:14

routine,

00:29:15 --> 00:29:20

which, in the in the books of Tesco, they call it casserole, I

00:29:20 --> 00:29:25

that the breaking of bad habits, so many of the bad habits, we have

00:29:25 --> 00:29:27

an opportunity now to break them because they're just not

00:29:27 --> 00:29:32

available. And it's kind of it's a lot from last time, I learned that

00:29:32 --> 00:29:35

we don't have to depend upon sheer willpower to break them. So no,

00:29:35 --> 00:29:38

no, no, no longer available. They're not even there anymore.

00:29:39 --> 00:29:41

It's not like you have to say yourself, I'm gonna stop doing

00:29:41 --> 00:29:44

this. It's just not there. To begin with. So the question that

00:29:44 --> 00:29:48

remains is I said, when we break our fast, and we go back to a sort

00:29:48 --> 00:29:51

of normalcy, what type of normalcy? Are we going to go back

00:29:51 --> 00:29:54

to? What are we going to choose? Are we just going to do business

00:29:54 --> 00:29:57

as usual? Or we're just going to let this lesson this more or less

00:29:57 --> 00:29:59

than pass without it

00:30:00 --> 00:30:03

You know, availing ourselves of the lesson we should have learned

00:30:03 --> 00:30:08

and the benefits there in or are we actually going to

00:30:09 --> 00:30:12

avail ourselves of the lesson we're going to change our life,

00:30:12 --> 00:30:15

we're going to break the bad habits, we're going to supplant

00:30:15 --> 00:30:19

them with new habits, we're going to have more of a dedication to

00:30:20 --> 00:30:23

having spiritual routines within our day, we are going to bookend

00:30:23 --> 00:30:30

our days with with remembrance of Allah subhanaw taala, to just

00:30:30 --> 00:30:33

begin our day with a remembrance of God even for five minutes. And

00:30:33 --> 00:30:35

to end our day before we go to sleep with the Romans of Allah

00:30:35 --> 00:30:39

subhanaw taala, to get into more of a routine of tending to our

00:30:39 --> 00:30:42

family members and asking about them, and tending to their needs,

00:30:42 --> 00:30:43

and

00:30:44 --> 00:30:47

helping them with their basic needs and other needs that they

00:30:47 --> 00:30:51

have checking up on our elders, you know, those people who can't

00:30:51 --> 00:30:54

be the first in line to get into the supermarket, when everybody

00:30:54 --> 00:30:57

buys toilet paper, are we going to still be checking upon them, you

00:30:57 --> 00:31:01

know, after all of this is over. So, you know, these are things I

00:31:01 --> 00:31:05

think we should be thinking about. And just some thoughts yet, maybe

00:31:05 --> 00:31:08

just some words of advice, use this time,

00:31:09 --> 00:31:12

Allah is giving you a break, he's, he's allowing romantic humanity,

00:31:12 --> 00:31:15

humanity, as I said, to reset itself. And that includes me and

00:31:15 --> 00:31:19

you and everybody else. So we have a chance for a reset, to do things

00:31:19 --> 00:31:19

differently.

00:31:21 --> 00:31:23

I would avoid kind of

00:31:24 --> 00:31:28

being 24/7 on the internet, and just seeing every little update

00:31:28 --> 00:31:31

about what's happening with the virus and where it's going and

00:31:31 --> 00:31:36

what's happening. You know, the 24 hour news cycle, I think also has

00:31:36 --> 00:31:40

kind of led to some of the panicking that is going on, that

00:31:40 --> 00:31:44

really, for the most part should be unfounded. We do with you know,

00:31:44 --> 00:31:47

what they say is best in terms of social distancing, and washing

00:31:47 --> 00:31:49

hands and all that sort of thing. But after that,

00:31:50 --> 00:31:55

you know, the span of worry, is very, very unproductive. And it's

00:31:55 --> 00:32:00

actually very counterproductive to your Amen. You know, there are

00:32:00 --> 00:32:01

three,

00:32:02 --> 00:32:06

the argument say there are three kinds of reactions, or three types

00:32:06 --> 00:32:08

of ways we can handle calamity.

00:32:09 --> 00:32:14

One is called Jezza. So if you if you meet calamity, with Jazza,

00:32:14 --> 00:32:19

which in Arabic more or less means panicking. So it's like losing all

00:32:19 --> 00:32:24

sense of self, in its worst manifestations. Having this

00:32:24 --> 00:32:27

authority about everything about yourself about what's going to

00:32:27 --> 00:32:28

happen, and

00:32:30 --> 00:32:34

just not having a difficult time accepting things that the way that

00:32:34 --> 00:32:37

they are. This is also called it at your own

00:32:38 --> 00:32:41

adolescence to object to Allah's decree, which is actually

00:32:41 --> 00:32:44

objecting to God. People don't realize when you object to what is

00:32:44 --> 00:32:47

happening in your circumstances, or when you feel like you don't

00:32:47 --> 00:32:51

deserve this or shouldn't be you or should be somebody else. That

00:32:51 --> 00:32:54

objection is not just objecting to your circumstances, that objection

00:32:54 --> 00:32:57

to decree of Allah, Allah decided this for you. And if you're

00:32:57 --> 00:33:00

objecting to what Allah has decided for you, in a sense,

00:33:00 --> 00:33:01

you're objecting to a loss.

00:33:04 --> 00:33:05

It's kind of

00:33:06 --> 00:33:10

early stages, we would call that a fraud in the AMA, we would say

00:33:10 --> 00:33:14

that is it is a lack of recognition or rejection of the

00:33:14 --> 00:33:17

blessings that you have that you're in. And in its worst

00:33:17 --> 00:33:21

manifestation, you can just like a disease, you can progress and then

00:33:21 --> 00:33:25

it can actually lead to actual Cofer. Right. And Cofer is

00:33:25 --> 00:33:27

rejection of God. And this is what the police learn a whole lot fell

00:33:27 --> 00:33:30

into. This is what the devil himself fell into. So it began

00:33:30 --> 00:33:34

with him, rejecting the blessings around him he was with the angels,

00:33:34 --> 00:33:38

even though he wasn't one of them. He was amongst them. He was a

00:33:38 --> 00:33:41

blessing individual, at least outwardly praying with them,

00:33:41 --> 00:33:46

supplicating with them. And then when I met her, when a test came

00:33:46 --> 00:33:49

to him, and that test was yet to prostrate before this newly

00:33:50 --> 00:33:53

created creature, our father, Adam, and he sat down, and he

00:33:53 --> 00:33:57

didn't recognize all the blessings that he had. Following them, well,

00:33:58 --> 00:34:02

some of the law he sent me, so then he, he, he rejected the

00:34:02 --> 00:34:05

blessing. And that rejection of blessing led him to rejection of

00:34:05 --> 00:34:08

Allah Spano Tata for refusing to accept his decree and follow his

00:34:08 --> 00:34:12

command. So we don't want we don't want to be in that category. So we

00:34:12 --> 00:34:16

don't want to be in the category of jazz. So just means to panic.

00:34:17 --> 00:34:22

The next two categories are the categories of the believers one,

00:34:22 --> 00:34:24

the first one being Oberon, and the second being more contravene.

00:34:26 --> 00:34:29

And the macabre being those are closest to God, as some of the

00:34:29 --> 00:34:34

automatic said hasenhuttl annual awards. So you have to look at the

00:34:35 --> 00:34:39

good deeds of the abroad of the righteous are almost like sins for

00:34:40 --> 00:34:43

the McCollum for the state of the political game. So for the Mikado

00:34:43 --> 00:34:47

for the abroad for the righteous, they treat their calamities with

00:34:47 --> 00:34:52

Southern with patients. And so they look at things and say, this

00:34:52 --> 00:34:57

is bitter, and it's not engender with me a good feeling, and I

00:34:57 --> 00:35:00

taste the bitterness of it, but I'm going to be the

00:35:00 --> 00:35:06

Asians, right, so there's a little bit of an aspect of the either sub

00:35:06 --> 00:35:11

or to sub sub remains that you are kind of naturally accepting and

00:35:11 --> 00:35:15

patient with situation and not the sub, which means there's some kind

00:35:15 --> 00:35:18

of which means you have to kind of a little bit, you know, push

00:35:18 --> 00:35:18

yourself

00:35:20 --> 00:35:23

and put a little bit more effort to have that patience. This is

00:35:23 --> 00:35:27

hard and Abrar pile, the righteous, the state of the

00:35:27 --> 00:35:30

righteous, the higher state or the highest state is out of the most

00:35:30 --> 00:35:34

routine. And they need calamity like they meet bliss, no

00:35:34 --> 00:35:38

difference to them. They meet it with riddle, they need it with

00:35:38 --> 00:35:43

contentment, because they're not looking to the individual thing

00:35:43 --> 00:35:46

that's happening. They're looking to the one behind it. And so

00:35:46 --> 00:35:49

they're looking to the hawk novelist, Allah, Allah was one of

00:35:49 --> 00:35:52

the Hakama we had the sheikh. Allah's found out he is decreed

00:35:52 --> 00:35:56

this, whether people consider it to be blissful, or people can sort

00:35:56 --> 00:36:00

it to be calamitous. It's all the same for the Mahabharat, for the

00:36:00 --> 00:36:03

one that'll last a long time and 100 a day or the one that's

00:36:03 --> 00:36:06

closest to God, the one that a lot brings close to them, close to

00:36:06 --> 00:36:09

him. So again, then it is considered to be

00:36:11 --> 00:36:14

a blessing in either case. And so he meets or she meets that

00:36:14 --> 00:36:18

particular calamity or, or blessing, whatever it may be

00:36:18 --> 00:36:22

military law. And obviously we all aspire to be like that. Much

00:36:22 --> 00:36:27

easier said than done. But the blueprint or the outline to get to

00:36:27 --> 00:36:30

that is there. If we follow in the footsteps of our prophets or send

00:36:30 --> 00:36:33

them, if we follow if we do the photo ID and then we follow the

00:36:33 --> 00:36:36

sun. And then as mentioned, the head is pudsey, then Allah

00:36:36 --> 00:36:38

subhanaw taala will love us and then if he loves us, then he will

00:36:38 --> 00:36:43

be our hearing and our seeing and our hand when we strike and our

00:36:43 --> 00:36:46

foot when we walk. So this doesn't mean physical

00:36:48 --> 00:36:52

connection with Allah subhanaw taala or physical, he had, you

00:36:52 --> 00:36:56

know, coming to their country or oneness with God, but it means the

00:36:56 --> 00:37:00

oneness of your spirit with a decree of Allah subhanaw taala and

00:37:00 --> 00:37:02

so all your things will be in line with that which Allah subhanaw

00:37:02 --> 00:37:06

taala desires of you and decrees for you from his from his divine

00:37:06 --> 00:37:10

command. And that's the blueprint that the prompts are set up set

00:37:10 --> 00:37:16

out for us. And if we follow it, and we make our hem, we make our

00:37:16 --> 00:37:20

priority and our that our first priority by our single priority.

00:37:21 --> 00:37:25

Allah subhanaw taala then He will take care of all of the other Who

00:37:25 --> 00:37:30

knew, right? Man Giada Hola, hola, hola. Tada humble jar that will

00:37:30 --> 00:37:34

have my lack of ComiCon whoever makes their hem makes that which

00:37:34 --> 00:37:38

they're thinking about the objects of concern Allah subhanaw taala

00:37:38 --> 00:37:42

that all of the other whom all of the other concerns then will be

00:37:42 --> 00:37:44

subsumed and then Allah will take care of all of those other

00:37:44 --> 00:37:47

concerns as long as you are concerned with God, with Allah's

00:37:47 --> 00:37:51

parliamentarian, so we ask Allah subhanaw taala to make us of those

00:37:51 --> 00:37:54

people have been and if not, at least,

00:37:55 --> 00:37:59

those are closest to him and to as I said, to lift this trial and

00:37:59 --> 00:38:03

tribulation from us and that we come out of it. Meaning said you

00:38:03 --> 00:38:03

need Hamidi

00:38:06 --> 00:38:10

moody, shallow that we come out of this state of safety and that we

00:38:10 --> 00:38:13

are we in a state of praise for God and that we are praised by

00:38:13 --> 00:38:17

God. That we are the ones who are mentioned to the prophets. I

00:38:17 --> 00:38:20

seldom prophesy sentiments mentioned that our mentor our

00:38:20 --> 00:38:25

daily our our our deeds are presented before him from last

00:38:25 --> 00:38:28

month out in the state that he's in now and if he finds good, then

00:38:28 --> 00:38:30

he praises a line to find something other than good then he

00:38:30 --> 00:38:33

seeks forgiveness on our behalf. So we want our problems are

00:38:33 --> 00:38:38

certain to see the good in us and to to find reason for praise and

00:38:38 --> 00:38:41

to praise Allah subhanaw taala because this is his legacy and a

00:38:41 --> 00:38:43

legacy of his own Well, this community
