AI: Summary ©
This is a live broadcast
recap or a revision
of 1 of the courses that we have
delivered over 2
weekends in the past, I think,
I believe before Ramadan, if I'm not mistaken.
And
because we have made a mistake
on the post that we will have an
extra hour,
it became
my responsibility
to come back
and compensate for these 2 hours basically
that we have missed out from the
session. But Alhamdulillah
during the course
those who have attended live with me via
zoom
have already gotten all the details and the
information necessary
for that particular study.
And this live broadcast
is meant to be a revision
for those who attended and perhaps
for those who didn't show up so that
they can
perhaps refer to that course later on and
request
maybe the recording from
live deen later on Insha'Allah.
But
I know that it's very very early in
Pakistan,
but I was told that at 3 a.
M.
People are awake. So hopefully
InshaAllah Ta'ala people will be online.
People maybe those who are whoever is online
now can share the video so that we
can invite people to watch whatever remaining
of that video InshaAllahu Ta'ala. So Jazakumullah Khayram,
Bismillah Rahbarrahim, Alhamdulillah.
This is your brother Wa'il Ibrahim
and we are talking about the best Ramadan
and how can we experience
the best Ramadan
and beyond.
So here are a few thoughts insha Allah
that we have mentioned,
previously in the course and that is number
1,
Ramadan
is not the starting point for Muslims to
do something
great or to do something
really good regarding the deen.
Ramadan
is
basically
is the center
of attention when it comes to Muslim behaviors
and Muslim relationship with Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala made Ramadan
as the spiritual training camp,
training period so that we can adjust
throughout the year
regarding
what we have already established and built in
Ramadan. So whatever we did in Ramadan that
was good, we take a portion of it
throughout the
year.
Why? So that we can resist the temptations
of Shaitan, so that we can resist our
own evil inclination,
the sinful activities that we have fallen into.
So Ramadan is that month where we are
able to fix
and repair what we have done throughout the
year and so that we can have enough
reserve
of all the concepts that we will be
teaching in a minute InshaAllah
throughout the 11 months. And that's why we
mentioned that the prophet
and his companions used to supplicate
and pray to
Allah
extend my life until I witness Ramadan.
An appeal that we have not seen in
the life of the
prophet regarding anything else. The prophet would never
pray to extend his life for anything
other than Ramadan, other than witnessing Ramadan. Just
to show you how essential this month is
and how
performing it in an appropriate manner
would really
set the tone for the entire year if
we did Ramadan
appropriately.
So Ramadan is not just a month where
we do tarawih.
It's not just a month where we read
Quran. It's not just a month where we
fast. It's not just a month where we
increase our charity. It's not just a month
where we plan for our umrah or plan
for our visiting,
you know, visitation of Mecca and Medina and
so on. It's a month where we can
do all of that and then take all
these portions
throughout the year. So if
you read Quran in Ramadan
1 juz a day, then will you read
1 page a day after Ramadan at least
minimum
1 page half a page whatever you can
bear. Will you do that regularly or only
Ramadan
where you can touch the Quran regularly?
This is something that you should think about.
For example, if you perform taraweeh whether 8
raka'ah or 20 raka'ah, whether in the in
your homes or in your messages,
will you take at least 2 raka every
single night
after Ramadan
or will you forgot completely about the night
prayer? This prayer which the prophet Muhammad
sallallahu alaihi wasallam mentioned that it is the
best
prayers
after the obligatory.
So you cannot actually perform any better prayers
than Qiyamul Layl or the night prayer. And
by the way, those who are unaware
of that fact, here it is. Tarawih,
the Hajjud,
Qiyamulayl,
the night prayer. They are all
1 and the same.
There is no difference between
night prayer and tahajjud.
The only difference is that we pray them
maybe in separate different times
depending on the occasions like in Ramadan we
pray them in the masjid together traditionally
after
but you can pray them actually late at
night.
Also you can sleep and get up and
pray taraweeh or pray the night prayer later
on. The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam defined
the Qiyamulay
as a prayer that is performed,
in 2 rakas
from after
all the way until before Fajr. That's the
definition according to our beloved prophet Muhammad sallallahu
alaihi wa sallam. We just call them different
names depending on the occasion. We call them
tarawih for example in Ramadan
because after every 4 rakah, again traditionally
we rest and that's come
from the
same route where we can take a little
bit of a rest and the imam will
give a little bit of a reminder
for the worshipers to, you know, reflect on.
It's called Tahajjud
because usually it's performed past midnight or after
midnight
where usually people leave the bed. Tahajjud
leave the bed and wake up for,
the prayer.
So
I hope that everyone is getting my audio
clearly InshaAllah. So those who are online, whoever
is online, if you can leave a comment
just to inform me if my audio is
clear InshaAllah.
So will you take taweeh with you after
Ramadan? Will you take Qiyamulayl
as a practice that you have already trained
yourself with
throughout the month for 30 complete days. You
never miss out a day or a night
in performing this beautiful prayer. Will you take
portion of it after Ramadan. This is where
you can experience the best Ramadan. Experiencing best
Ramadan means experiencing the fruits of what you
have established in Ramadan
after Ramadan. But the month itself was not
meant to be actually enjoyable.
Meaning it's very difficult. It's very it requires
a lot of effort and usually when you
exert efforts in anything good,
the process of it is not enjoyable,
but the fruits of it is. So the
fruits or the results
will
make you appreciate
the act. Not really the act itself. Meaning
or here's an example, when you are trained
for
a match or for a sport or whatever,
you
know, anything else that you need to train
yourself physically, you don't enjoy the training process.
You don't enjoy really going to the gym
and lifting weight and screaming, you know, ah,
in pain and all this. You are in
pain, but you wanted to achieve the outcome
that you desire and that is maybe a
good shape, a good health and so on.
So the process of any good act is
not necessarily enjoyable, meaning
you
can't really say that hunger is good, thirst
is good. No, you can't say that, but
the result of it, self discipline,
self control,
of, you know, lowering the gaze. All the
results of what you have trained yourself with
during the month of Ramadan will be bearing
fruits later on. This is where you can
appreciate Ramadan. This is where we can say
actually
my best Ramadan ever was in the year
such and
such. So may Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
grant us the right understanding.
And then
we went through the main purpose of our
existence.
We know
that Allah created us for only one purpose
and that is to worship Allah alone. Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said
I have not created
Jinnkind the spiritual beings
nor mankind
except for one purpose and that is
to worship
me alone Allahu Akbar. So your job my
brothers my sisters in Islam is to worship
Allah and that is it.
I want you to remember this. Anything else
on the top of worshiping Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala is a secondary
priority. It's not your main objective. Why
you were created.
Your work, your studies, your husband, your wife,
your children, your community, all of that is
part of actually worshiping Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
if you did it with the right intention.
But to
prioritize
work,
to prioritize
wealth, to prioritize accumulating
material
world, material gain
on the account of worshiping Allah. This is
where the Ummah
you know or everyone may go wrong.
So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala already promised that
your provision,
your money, your job, all of this already
been secured for you planned for you decided
on your behalf Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in
the Quran
and in heavens with me is your provision
and whatever you've been promised
to be given. So Allah already promised you
a provision that is on Him. He will
provide for you. He will provide for the
disbelievers.
He will provide for the animals and insects.
He will provide for the fish inside the
sea. So the point is, why do we
have
to exert most of our effort in this
area when Allah already promised that your provision
is gonna be given anyway?
That doesn't mean that we shouldn't work. It
doesn't mean that we shouldn't make effort to
excel in this dunya. No. It means that
priority wise,
salah
takes priority over our work. So even if
I have an urgent meeting, what we call
urgent meeting, if you are a businessman or
a worker, salah time comes, we leave the
meeting, we leave the cooking, we leave the
match, we leave the movie, we leave everything
related to the Dunia
and rush to our main purpose of why
we were created. This is what it means.
So priority,
you know, Allah takes the first priority. The
prophet takes the first priority. Anything else is
a secondary.
So I hope that you're getting this right
Insha'Allah.
So why we were created to worship Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. Now here's the question.
Why did Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala create us
to worship him?
Why Allah made the purpose of of creation
worshiping Allah? Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala told us
in the Quran and he gave us the
answer.
Oh mankind. Now Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is
addressing everyone. We have created you. We have
created you. Yeah. You are nice. Oh, people
worship you, Lord.
The
the one who who created you.
And he created also the people before you
that you didn't even witness, that you didn't
even see or observe. Why? Why Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala did this?
So that you may attain
taqwa and that's the cornerstone of the study.
That's the Cornerstone
of the entire course and the entire discussion
that we had last time. The main purpose
of worshiping Allah is for us human
beings to attain that concept called Taqwa which
we will explain briefly soon Insha'Allah.
O mankind
worship your Lord who created you and those
before you so that you may attain. So
I want you now to to start connecting
the dots
with me insha'Allah. So I want you to
write down that the main purpose of existence
is to worship Allah
and then next line the main purpose of
worshiping Allah is to attain taqmah
and then on the top of that Allah
Subhanahu wa ta'ala gifted us by with something
called Ramadan
a bonus gift
an act of worship that Allah favored the
most The prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said that
Allah said
all the acts all the deeds of son
of Adam is for them except fasting. It
is for me and I shall, you know,
decide its reward insha'Allah.
So Ramadan or fasting in particular
is a very very dear act of worship
to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. And the reason
is also obvious because when you're fasting the
chances for you to show off,
to brag about it is very minimal because
you know unless you say I'm fasting, nobody
would know if you're walking down the streets
you're fasting. But if you're praying,
if you're saying Allahu Akbar bowing down, whether
you are in
your homes or in the messages or on
the streets, people can see you and the
chances for you to show off to perfect
your salah for others is great. And because
that because of that element fasting takes a
superiority
over any act of worship in the sight
of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. SubhanAllah.
So what is the purpose of fasting then?
If the main purpose of worship
is to attain taqwa
and if Ramadan is an act of worship,
then its main purpose also for us to
attain Taqwa.
So Allah is telling us here in this
ayah, O you who believe the first the
first ayah that we recited earlier Allah is
addressing
mankind.
Why? Because the main purpose why He created
them is to worship Him. So Allah is
saying worship your Lord. Oh people worship your
Lord who created you and those before you
so that you may attain
but fasting
is a is an act of worship
that was particularly given to the believers.
Those who acknowledged
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. Those who acknowledge the
message of Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. So Allah
is telling us
all you who believe.
Is not an optional thing for you. Ramadan
in particular
is not an optional
act of worship. It is a compulsory
act over you as it was prescribed for
the people before you why you Allah why
you make fasting
obligatory
for the same purpose so that you may
attain taqwa and that's why I'm saying it's
a training for us. Ramadan
supposedly
is something given so that we can attain
that level of taqwa.
We we we enhance our level of taqwa.
So after Ramadan when Shaitan is unchained
When Shaitan is is set free. We will
be able to resist his temptation
harder than ever. But if you didn't work
on your heart, if you didn't work on
your taqwa during this month,
then Allah it is a Musiba, the greatest
trial, the greatest losers
who will pass through Ramadan
and exit as if nothing happened
as if nothing happened. We creep back to
our bad habits the minute they say, Eid
is tomorrow. People don't even go for fajr.
Am I making sense? Am I talking
about the truth?
So my brothers and sisters in Islam, let's
understand that we were created for a purpose
and that is to worship Allah and the
main purpose of worshiping Allah is to attain
Taqwa and one of the acts of worship
is Ramadan, which its main purpose
is the same thing is to achieve taqwa.
And then Allah said something very interesting. He
said
in the beginning of Surah Al Baqarah, the
second chapter of the Quran.
Allah
Allah is talking about the Quran saying that
this book has no doubt in it. There
is no doubt in it. There should be
no doubts about its authenticity
and it is meant to be a guidance
for those
people of Taqw. Allahu Akbar. So the Quran
was not meant
to be a guidance for anyone.
And I don't want you to misunderstand
what I'm saying here.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala guided everyone.
Every creation was guided by Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala. But there are 2 types of guidance
and I want you to pay attention here.
The first type of guidance is to show
you the way.
So I give you a map and I
tell you this is the way if you
wanted to reach your
destination. This is a type of guidance that
was given to every single individual
on human
on planet Earth. Everyone was given away. Allah
sent
124,000
prophets and messengers
throughout history for what? To guide
people to take them to Jannah,
right? But the majority have rejected unfortunately,
so many people refuse to take the guidance
and there's another type of guidance that's particularly
for people with certain qualities
for and one of these qualities is iman.
One of these qualities is taqwa. Umar al
Khattab radiAllahu
an example. He was a disbeliever.
He was a man who was about to
kill the messenger of Allah on the very
day in which he embraced Islam.
Why? Because immediately his heart was melted when
he heard the words of the Quran. So
the Quran will have better impact on the
people who already have taqw.
They already have some qualities of God Consciousness
in their heart. We will explain taqwah in
a minute inshallah,
but Allah is telling us here that the
Quran is
the guidance.
The Quran is the roadmap
that will lead you to safety
if you have taqwa. So if you fulfill
your purpose of existence in this dunya by
worshiping Allah and
if you use Ramadan
and utilize Ramadan
to enhance your level of taqwa, then the
Quran will have a better impact on your
heart. It will guide you through your life
insha Allah. That's why Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
chose the month of Ramadan
to reveal the book of the to reveal
the Quran His words to mankind
Ramadan
Quran. Look at this.
So the month of Ramadan in which the
Quran was revealed as guidance to mankind.
So in this in this Allah say the
Quran is guiding to guidance to mankind.
It has the roadmap
for you to reach to Jannah.
If you accepted the guidance, if you took
it
seriously,
you will arrive to the final destination.
But if you have the quality of Taqwa,
you are already guided by the Quran.
It is meant to be a guidance for
those who have taqwa full stop.
So which
type of people are you? Are you the
one who will hear
the words of Allah and debate it and
negotiate it and say you know what? I
don't think I don't believe I don't feel
I guess I
who are you? Sorry.
Who are you to guess to debate Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala
if Allah said halal haram in the Quran
will you debate that? But if you take
everything that Allah and His Messenger said on
face value, Whatever Allah said, whatever His Messenger,
I will take it.
Whatever Allah Allah's Messenger had given you, had
commanded you take it. Whatever he prohibited you,
refused to even touch it, reject
it. This is Islam. This is this is
our deen submission
not to me, submission not to my desires,
submission
to not to what I wanted to do
and what I wanted to achieve but rather
submission to the will of Almighty Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala even if
it even if it is against my own
desire.
This is Islam.
This is Islam. So Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala
revealed the Quran to guide those people who
have that level of taqah. We will explain
taqah. Don't worry. Yeah, and then the final
ayah that I want to share with you
is the ayah related to Jannah.
Our ultimate hope in this dunya
that before we pass away
we receive those good news of Jannatul Firdaus.
Allah
Those who said our Lord is Allah and
then remain firm upon that path
remain firm upon Allah.
What will happen to these people at the
time of death? The angels will descend upon
them giving the good news even before they
pass away. Don't be scared. Don't be sad
and receive the good news of Jannah which
you were promised. May Allah make us among
them.
But Allah said about Jannah something very interesting.
He said
and haste
my brothers, my sisters Islam towards forgiveness from
your Lord and Jannah which it's with the
size of Jannah is the heavens and the
earth combined.
Jannah my brothers my sisters in Islam was
prepared for the people of Taqwa.
Look at this.
Are you are you connecting the dots with
me? We said earlier
Allah created us to worship Him.
Allah made us worship him so that we
may attain taqwa.
Allah gave us Ramadan as an extra bonus
to attain taqwa
Allah revealed the Quran
to guide the people
of taqwa. Not only that Allah
made the entire Jannah which you and I
are yearning for.
You and I yearning and dreaming of
Jannah. Allah made Jannah for the people of
Taqwa. Allahu Akbar.
And then my brothers, my sisters in Islam,
Allah discussed the qualities
of those people
who have taqwa. He said
first quality
those who spend their wealth in good time
and in bad time when I have enough
and when I don't have much,
when things are going well and
Allah's provision is from every direction. Allahu Akbar
my bank account have a lot of positive
zeros. Mashallah
I give
and when those zeros are eliminated that I
don't have much in my bank account. I
still give
and I don't fear poverty.
This is the quality of our beloved Prophet
Muhammad SAW. He used to give and give
and give until he have nothing for himself
or for his family because he didn't fear
poverty.
He believed that the one who gave in
the first in the first stage
is capable of giving again.
He promised, as I mentioned earlier, he promised
provision.
Provision is upon Allah. This is his job.
Your job is to worship Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala
and work according to your ability, according to
your means, but don't make
work take over
the main priority of life and the stewardship
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
I hope that you are connecting the dots
with me. I hope that you are making
that clear link so that when we exit
Ramadan, my brothers and sisters in Islam Allah
said in the Quran about Ramadan
I
am a
that there are handful days.
Ramadan is just a handful days. And we
can witness to this fact every single year.
Ramadan enters,
we fight over Ramadan tomorrow or day after
we fight over moon sighting or moon calculation.
We start making big debates about it. At
the end of the day, after the 2nd
day or the 3rd day, we're all fasting
and without you even realize
we're saying goodbye to Ramadan in a few
days and Eid Mubarak to everyone and that's
it. And Ramadan will be always almost forgotten
for an entire year and before Ramadan,
next Ramadan InshaAllah, may Allah grant us another
Ramadan and many, many, many Ramadans to come.
But but before you know it, Ramadan is
entering again and people are preparing for Ramadan.
We're not supposed to prepare for Ramadan.
We're supposed to enter Ramadan
to prepare for the entire year.
We're not supposed to prepare for the month
of Ramadan.
The real preparation is within the month of
Ramadan for the entire year. What will I
do in Ramadan that will benefit me throughout
the year? This is the real fact. But
when you prepare for Ramadan, it means what?
That after Ramadan, you don't need it anymore.
You don't need all these acts of worship
that will be parked.
They will be parked for next year. The
Quran will jump back on the shelf. See
you next year.
Will be will no longer exist for some
people.
Charity will be almost forgotten.
You know, some people that I
reach out, my wife reach out for some
charitable
events and so on, And many people don't
want even to give charity outside Ramadan
and worst in Ramadan. Everyone wanted to give
charity in the last 10 nights of Ramadan.
SubhanAllah. This is very selfish charity,
very selfish charity to let someone
hungry throughout the year until he, you know,
until Ramadan enters only then people start giving
charity. Why? Because they are selfish. They want
the highest reward. Bow Wallahi, if you give
throughout the year,
whether it's Ramadan or outside Ramadan, whether it's
in the last 10 nights or whoever is
in desperate need go and help without thinking
about your own reward. Allah will reward you
based on your intention. If you have a
big heart in you that is open to
help 1 and all
irrespective of time and and and and and
you know
time and region or whatever whatever else on
mind Allah will reward you abundantly without you
even realizing.
May Allah grant us the right understanding.
So this is the first qualities that when
you give you give in time of ease
in time of difficulty.
That's one of the qualities of people of
and those who
restrain themselves from anger,
restrain that emotion
in a way that is absolutely healthy.
Not to control
emotions because we cannot
control
our emotions. That is not possible.
If something happened in front of you
that causes you anger,
you cannot control that anger. You will be
angry.
The reaction to anger is what we need
to restrain.
The reaction to anger. If the reaction to
anger would be throwing things up or screaming
in front of your children or yelling
or shouting or or even worse, physically hitting
someone
because you became angry
only then Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will judge
you. But if you became angry from the
inside and you did not show it in
a manner that is displeasing to Allah, then
anger is actually something positive here.
Yeah, when when the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
told the man don't be angry. Don't be
angry. Don't be angry 3 times. He was
not suggesting that the man should eradicate anger
from his life. That is impossible. But rather
he knew the man and he knew that
when he gets angry, he act in certain
manners that are unpleasant. So Allah,
the prophet Muhammad was telling him don't be
angry in that way. Don't show anger in
that fashion
because it is not appropriate. It is haram.
It is wrong.
That's what it is, but we cannot eliminate
happiness. We cannot eliminate sadness. We cannot eliminate
anger. We cannot eliminate excitement.
These are emotions
within ourselves
are inbuilt in our system that we cannot
eliminate or eradicate.
They are a natural response to situations that
we experience in life. So we can't really
eliminate them, but what we can do is
controlling
or I don't like to the word controlling,
but rather
restraining
the reaction to these emotions.
The the reaction or the action to those
emotions
should be in line or in harmony with
what Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala commanded with what
his Messenger had taught us. Even when we
get happy and excited, we can't scream on
the street. You know, we have certain manners
and ethics that we need to live by.
So those who restrain their anger means, those
who don't react to the emotional
feeling or the intense emotion of anger in
a manner that's displeasing to Allah. This is
too a sign of taqw.
And those who
pardon each other, those who forgive one another,
Those who let go of the mistakes of
other people. Why is that important? Because you
yourself is full of mistakes.
You yourself are full of sins and you
will be on the day of judgment begging
Allah to forgive you from those sins. So
why don't you forgive others today so that
Allah can find it easier
to forgive you? Why would Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala forgive your sins if he saw that
your heart is so hard to forgive people
who have wronged you? You know.
Why would Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala forgive you
if you don't wanna forgive others? So one
of the qualities of Taqwa is that when
somebody irked, when somebody wronged you, whether
that wrong or that wound was deep or
on the surface,
it it doesn't matter. You will let go
and you say, you know what? I forgive
you. And forgiveness sometimes is misunderstood,
and I wanted to pause here because it
is unreasonable sometimes to suggest
that if the the damage was so great
that I should go back to that person
and become friend again or
I re establish my relationship with that individual.
If the hurt was so bad and brings
really psychological
memories
to or traumatic memories
to my life.
It's not really reasonable. The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam did not communicate with Waqiih ibn Haram.
The man who killed his uncle,
who was a slave during the time of,
you know, he was the slave of Abu
Sufyan and Hind who planned to kill Hamzad
Abdul Muttalib radiAllahu anhu.
May Allah be pleased with him.
Even though,
Washeeb Nharb, may Allah be pleased with him
because he embraced Islam later on.
Even though he took Shahadah and embraced Islam
and joined some of the battles with the
prophet but the prophet refused to sit with
him and communicate with him. Why? Because he
reminded him of his beloved uncle. The damage
that
this incident
have on the Prophet was too deep to
appoint that the Prophet didn't want to have
anything to do with that man. But didn't
he forgive him? Of course, he forgive him
because the prophet SAWSAWHIHAN said
Islam erases whatever happened before
before it. So before the Shahada is one
thing is one person after Shahada
all your sins are forgiven. So if Allah
forgive you because of your Shahada, who am
I to not forgive you? But forgiveness doesn't
mean that we will be friends again. Forgiveness
means I will just maintain a distance sometimes.
I'll maintain that distance when I see you.
Assalamu alaikum Assalam. And that's about it. But
I will not engage
in close
connections or close relationship with you,
because I have learned from the past. So
that's fine. So so long as you do
not wish ill and wish bad for others
after you declared forgiveness, that's okay.
But some people of course will find it
easier to
re establish that connection whether that person is
their husbands, their wives, their children. Of course,
it is highly encouraged that we re establish
that connection. Parents relationship with the children is
very very important not to cut ties
with our relatives and so on, but there
are other relationships that can have that distance
and that boundary. May Allah grant us the
right understanding. So those three qualities are mentioned.
Well
those who spend their wealth in good time
and in difficulty. Those who restrain their anger
and those who forgive people.
And Allah loves those who know Ihsaan. Now
Ihsaan
will be the talk inshaa Allah
of our next meeting on Monday. So I'm
meeting you again the same time on Monday
live broadcast
on live deen inshallah
On Monday at 5 AM,
sorry at 6 AM my time. I'm in
Perth, Australia and it is 3 AM Pakistan
time. And this is the time where the
brothers told me it's suitable.
I don't see from the viewers that it
is suitable for anyone,
but maybe
the recording will benefit people inshaAllah later on.
But the point is
that Ihsan is a longer topic to discuss
inshaAllah. But today we will elaborate more on
taqwa that we wanted to enhance
in the remaining nights of Ramadan, in the
remaining days of Ramadan.
Today here in Perth, it's the 26th day
of Ramadan, which means the 27th
night of Ramadan. So tonight could be
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala revealed the Quran in
Laylatul Qadr. And what do you know about
Laylatul Qadr?
This is the night in which the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wa sallallahu alaihi wa ta'ala
declared
as equivalent to a 1000 months 80 years
plus a lifetime
rewarding
night that we should seize. And in order
for you to capture Laylatul Qadr you need
to fast in Ramadan. You need to worship
Allah in Ramadan
as if every night of this blessed month
is Laylatul Qadr. So that you can be
sure
that Insha'Allah
the reward is guaranteed. So don't try to
look for Layla of Qadr in the sense
that
if it's not an odd night, it's not
as important. No, Worship Allah in every night
of Ramadan with the same spirit with the
same energy so that you have a chance
to capture that beautiful night and its reward.
Ameen Arbulani.
Again, let's get into taqwa
linguistically.
We spoke about taqwa linguistically to mean creating
barrier between ourselves and anything that may anger
Allah
Subhanahu wa ta'ala. That's actually why in English
translation it's called God consciousness.
So you are so aware
of God's presence, and that's why that fact
alone would prevent you from falling into sinful
activity. So if you are behind closed doors
in a,
you know, in a private room and you
have internet devices,
the fact that you know that Allah is
with you
will not allow you to look into haram
activities on the Internet. And that's why Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
rebuked or
mentioned
some of the ill traits of people who
when they are behind closed doors, they violate
the rights of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. He
said,
Look at this. Allah is saying that some
people they conceal their sins from people. When
you are behind closed doors and doing haram
activities, you're actually hiding from the people. You
don't want the people to see
you in shameful,
you know, positions in shameful situations. You don't
want the people to see you doing haram
activities. And that's why you hide behind closed
doors when you do these harams. But Allah
is saying what? These people behind their sins
from
others while Allah is with them.
So they don't conceal their sins from Allah
while they know that Allah is with them
in that same room wherever
they
are
and He is with them wherever they go
wherever you are. Allah is there with his
knowledge with his awareness. So how dare you
do Haram activities when you know that Allah
is watching you not only Allah but the
angels.
The angels who are writing your deeds. The
angels for protection one above you, one behind
you. There are 4 angels who are with
us all the time and Allah from above
the 7 heavens
is monitoring
every inch of your existence,
every move, every action, every word is recorded.
How could you go and sin anyway intentionally?
How could you have the guts to sin
intentionally
knowing that Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala is with
you. So Allah rebuked such people
and God consciousness would be or Taqwa would
be that because you are aware that Allah
is there.
It's very difficult
for you to sin. It's very hard Your
heart will not accept it that easily. I'm
not suggesting
that people with will never sin.
All the children of Adam are actually sinners,
but the best of those who sin are
those who often repent. So this is the
fact. So may Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala grant
us the right understanding.
So Taqwa means what again linguistically
is a or
protection
against anything that may anger Allah Subhanahu wa
ta'ala to create that shield, that wall, that
protective,
you know, measure so that you don't fall
into sinful activities to the best of your
ability.
And finally, Ali ibn Abi Talib in his
definition of Taqwa, he mentioned 4 line definitions.
He said
to fear Allah and His punishment. As much
as we talk about the reward of Jannah
and its beautiful rewards
and beautiful,
you know, rivers and trees and fruits and
homes and this and that. As much as
we year to talk and to hear
about the beautiful news of Jannah,
we also need to be reminded that Allah
Allah the one who created Jannah has also
created hellfire
and hellfire was not created
for any other reason but for punishment. And
we have to be very clear
about this, and we have to always bring
this to our attention, that as much as
we wanted to be hopeful
and and talk about the beauty of Jannah,
we also wanted to create a little bit
of fear in our heart about the punishment
of hellfire if we disobeyed Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala.
So taqwa, part of the taqwa is to
fear Allah and his ability
to punish you if you wish
because of your disobedience
because you did not follow the guidance of
the Quran. So once you have that fear
in your heart again, you will be your
resistance system will improve and will increase.
And to implement the revelation
of the Quran and the revelation
through which the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
brought to us his Sunnah his example
implementation
acting upon the knowledge is more important than
the knowledge my brothers and sisters in Islam
because acting upon the knowledge will bring about
results in your life. SubhanAllah.
That's why Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in the
Quran
all you who believe
Why do you say that which you do
not act upon Allah is
is making, you know, blaming those people who
sometimes say something
or teach something or preach something, but they
don't act upon what they say.
It is one of the most, you know,
the gravest
sins
is for you to say something that you
don't act upon. Allah is
blaming those people. Allah is telling them or
bringing to their attention the danger
of doing something
that or saying something or talking about something
that you don't in fact
do or act upon.
So is that when you hear the words
of Allah,
when you hear those words in the Quran
or you who believe, it means that whatever
will come after this statement or you who
believe either a command for you to follow
or a prohibition
to stay away from. So whenever you apply
the Quran that's a sign of Taqwa insha'Allah.
So
to fear Allah in his
punishment.
Implementation of the revelation
and to be content to be happy satisfied
with whatever Allah had given you. Even if
you may think that what Allah had given
you is a little bit, you know, less
than others.
Even if that seems little, you're happy with
Allah's provision. When you look in the mirror,
this is how this is what Allah gave
me. This is the appearance that Allah gave
me And that's why when we look at
the mirror, what do we say?
Oh Allah as you have beautified my appearance,
beautify my manners too. This is an interesting
dua because it's the dua that taught by
our beloved Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam to everyone
in his Umma. Which means what? Everyone is
beautiful
because we all say the same dua.
You know, there's no standards for handsomeness
in the son of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala
accept your heart and your manners.
Allah does not look at your
appearances.
And he does not looking you into your
colors, whether you're black or white, yellow or
brown or whatever else Allah had made you
of. Allah does not look at this side
of
you.
Allah looks into your hearts, your intent,
and your deeds, your actions. This is what
matters.
Oh my servants. It is but your good
deeds that I am
counting for you. I'm keeping the account of
your good deeds for you.
So the Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in this
Hadith
he said that whoever comes back, whoever comes
to the on the day of judgment with
good deeds
let him praise Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala. And whosoever found other than that meaning
bad deeds the opposite
let him blame no one but himself. So
we said
to fear Allah and His punishment
and to implement the Quran and its
beauty and the teaching of the prophet and
to be content with whatever Allah had given
you. And finally
and to be prepared for the day of
departure
from this dunya means death.
To live every single day of your life
as if it is your last. And I
want you to live with this thought
before we end the conversation.
I want you to ask yourself that if
tonight is the night
where you decided
where Allah
decided to take your soul
back to him. If tonight is the night
where you will be praying your lost
you will be praying your lost Aisha. You
will be praying your lost Magrib. Tonight is
the night where you will never fast again.
Tonight is the night where you will be
buried in your grave.
I want you to visualize this.
How will your salah look like? How will
your fasting look like? How will your
look like? How will your connection with the
Quran look like? How will hijab
look like on our
dear sisters?
How will you make that decision of cutting
your relationship with haram boyfriends and girlfriends? And
how will these
moments
look like if you knew that tonight is
your final night on planet Earth. You're going
back to Allah because it's a fact.
We belong to Allah
and to Him who shall return. May Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala grant us the right understanding.
So my brothers and sisters in Islam, I
hope and I pray that this discussion
was a just recap to the course that
we delivered earlier.
And as I mentioned on Monday InshaAllah same
time, 6 a. M Perth time, 3 a.
M. Pakistan.
I will be coming again live
on live Deen page here and on the
same page. And I will be talking about
the the other quality that we need to
enhance Insha'Allah in the remaining hours of Ramadan,
and that is
Ihsaan.
And aside from that,
I hope and I pray that everyone
have benefited InshaAllah.
I wish
to
see you again Insha'Allah. I'm not sure if
there are any comments or any questions.
I'm trying to find that before
I end the conversation. So all the conversations
