Ain't nobody afraid of Muslim people anymore. The

00:00:02 --> 00:00:05

war on terror propaganda is not working. But

00:00:05 --> 00:00:07

what the new science is showing us is

00:00:07 --> 00:00:08

that the brain

00:00:08 --> 00:00:11

receives the instructions telling it what to do

00:00:11 --> 00:00:14

from our heart. They think, okay, salvation, someone

00:00:14 --> 00:00:16

dying for my sins. What's the salvation in

00:00:16 --> 00:00:18

Islam like? There's no such thing as In

00:00:18 --> 00:00:20

the name of God, the gracious, the compassionate,

00:00:20 --> 00:00:22

praise to God, Lord of the worlds. The

00:00:22 --> 00:00:23

gracious, the compassionate master of the day of

00:00:23 --> 00:00:26

judgement. Truth appears battle in falsehood

00:00:26 --> 00:00:28

would have no space left in the room.

00:00:28 --> 00:00:30

Nowadays, we have white boys in the rural

00:00:30 --> 00:00:33

Midwest rooting for Muslims every UFC fight night.

00:00:33 --> 00:00:35

You're not gonna gonna be able to convince

00:00:35 --> 00:00:37

us that these people are evil and that

00:00:37 --> 00:00:38

our tax dollars need to be spent on

00:00:38 --> 00:00:41

bombing them. And the Dean Center is happening.

00:00:41 --> 00:00:43

It's going down a mega dawah center. It's

00:00:43 --> 00:00:45

never been done before and it requires your

00:00:45 --> 00:00:47

support and my support. The Deen Center, that's

00:00:47 --> 00:00:50

what we need to make guys. It's gonna

00:00:50 --> 00:00:52

be the hub for the entire ummah in

00:00:52 --> 00:00:54

America, inshallah. I know that people are gonna

00:00:54 --> 00:00:56

benefit from it and they're gonna see the

00:00:56 --> 00:00:57

benefit from it, and you're gonna see a

00:00:57 --> 00:00:59

lot more replications of this. And if we

00:00:59 --> 00:01:02

want Islam to enter every single household insha'Allah,

00:01:02 --> 00:01:05

as the prophetic hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi

00:01:05 --> 00:01:07

wa sallam states that Islam will enter every

00:01:07 --> 00:01:09

household. The Deen Center is helping to make

00:01:09 --> 00:01:10

that happen. So click the link, show your

00:01:10 --> 00:01:12

support, and do what you can inshallah.

00:01:15 --> 00:01:16

Welcome

00:01:16 --> 00:01:18

to the Dean's Show. How you guys doing?

00:01:18 --> 00:01:19

I have a special guest here.

00:01:19 --> 00:01:23

Mufti Abdul Wahab. He's the executive director instructor

00:01:24 --> 00:01:25

of the Mifta

00:01:26 --> 00:01:26

University

00:01:27 --> 00:01:29

Institute and here he is here with us

00:01:29 --> 00:01:30

in the studio.

00:01:33 --> 00:01:34

Life of a traveler.

00:01:36 --> 00:01:39

Experiences from different lands. And our religion. Conversations

00:01:39 --> 00:01:41

with a brother. We love all the prophets.

00:01:42 --> 00:01:44

Look at what Allah what Allah plans. Giving

00:01:44 --> 00:01:46

us stories that inspire.

00:01:47 --> 00:01:49

That's motivation when you're feeling low.

00:01:50 --> 00:01:51

Speak your heart and let the world know.

00:01:53 --> 00:01:55

Bro, this is the Dean's show.

00:01:56 --> 00:01:57

Discussions are what's really real.

00:01:59 --> 00:02:00

Look at our long hills,

00:02:01 --> 00:02:03

seeing transitions from another life.

00:02:04 --> 00:02:06

Like, look at our La guides

00:02:07 --> 00:02:09

from the streets to Islam.

00:02:10 --> 00:02:12

Letting known habits go,

00:02:13 --> 00:02:15

inspiration from around the globe.

00:02:15 --> 00:02:17

Bro, this is the Dean Show.

00:02:19 --> 00:02:19

Assalamu

00:02:20 --> 00:02:22

alaikum. Hey, everybody. How you doing, brother? Alhamdulillah.

00:02:23 --> 00:02:25

Beautiful seeing you. I was, I was good

00:02:25 --> 00:02:27

to see your work. You are what they

00:02:27 --> 00:02:29

call the OG and the dawaseen. Ashalla. Allah

00:02:29 --> 00:02:31

bless you, reward you. But you should look

00:02:31 --> 00:02:32

very young. So I'll keep you looking young.

00:02:32 --> 00:02:34

Ashalla. Thank you for your time. Moving. Insha'Allah.

00:02:34 --> 00:02:35

It's an honor to be here. It's an

00:02:35 --> 00:02:37

honor to be with you in person. We've

00:02:37 --> 00:02:39

met once in person, when you came down

00:02:39 --> 00:02:41

for the khabib event that we had, but

00:02:41 --> 00:02:43

didn't get much time to spend with you

00:02:43 --> 00:02:43

and

00:02:44 --> 00:02:45

to sit with you. SubhanAllah bless you and

00:02:45 --> 00:02:47

the great work that you and the family

00:02:47 --> 00:02:48

are doing. Bless your projects

00:02:49 --> 00:02:51

and bring goodness to it, Yaho. I I

00:02:51 --> 00:02:52

mean I got to spend a little time

00:02:52 --> 00:02:54

there by you guys. We got a nice

00:02:54 --> 00:02:57

little tour of the Mifat Institute. Really nice,

00:02:57 --> 00:02:59

beautiful. And what I was really impressed with,

00:02:59 --> 00:03:01

it was not 1, 2, 3, how many

00:03:01 --> 00:03:04

brothers were there? Five brothers. Five brothers and

00:03:04 --> 00:03:06

all of you working for the deen together.

00:03:06 --> 00:03:08

That was beautiful. It's an honor. Parents, you

00:03:08 --> 00:03:10

know, their duas and their hard work. Parents.

00:03:10 --> 00:03:12

It's all the parents, man, you know. We

00:03:12 --> 00:03:13

haven't done much, you know.

00:03:16 --> 00:03:19

They made the effort and hopefully were some

00:03:19 --> 00:03:21

of the fruits of their effort. We've got

00:03:21 --> 00:03:22

a long way to go.

00:03:22 --> 00:03:23

So you got a lot of parents who

00:03:23 --> 00:03:24

are like, no, no, you gotta be a

00:03:24 --> 00:03:25

doctor, engineer,

00:03:26 --> 00:03:29

and they're just like closing these doors

00:03:29 --> 00:03:31

for the youth. Your parents weren't thinking like

00:03:31 --> 00:03:33

that, Yeah, I think my parents are both

00:03:33 --> 00:03:35

physicians. Yeah. Be a doctor and a diet.

00:03:35 --> 00:03:36

Exactly.

00:03:36 --> 00:03:38

Make it happen. Make more effort. Everyone has

00:03:38 --> 00:03:40

a side hustle nowadays. You know? Might as

00:03:40 --> 00:03:42

well make one of make your real hustle

00:03:42 --> 00:03:44

the dean and make your side hustle everything

00:03:44 --> 00:03:46

else. Make your real hustle the dean. Right?

00:03:46 --> 00:03:48

Working for the creator. We can't we can't

00:03:49 --> 00:03:51

you know, we wanna appreciate in a relationship

00:03:51 --> 00:03:53

that someone gives us their leftover time. Yeah.

00:03:53 --> 00:03:55

You know, that they spend their time with

00:03:55 --> 00:03:57

everyone else and whatever is left,

00:03:57 --> 00:03:59

they give it to person a or person

00:03:59 --> 00:04:01

b. Person a or person b would never

00:04:01 --> 00:04:02

feel appreciated.

00:04:02 --> 00:04:03

Similarly,

00:04:04 --> 00:04:06

it's it's something something to think about and

00:04:06 --> 00:04:08

reflect on. We can't give deen our leftover

00:04:08 --> 00:04:10

time. It needs to be a part of

00:04:10 --> 00:04:12

the essence of what we're doing. And so

00:04:12 --> 00:04:14

the Prophet speaks about the idea of

00:04:15 --> 00:04:17

that whoever wakes up in the morning and

00:04:17 --> 00:04:18

their biggest concern of life is aspects of

00:04:18 --> 00:04:19

this world. Their biggest concern, not a concern.

00:04:29 --> 00:04:31

This person is challenged. The Prophet says that

00:04:31 --> 00:04:32

Allah will challenge this person

00:04:33 --> 00:04:35

in a sense that number 1

00:04:35 --> 00:04:35

that

00:04:37 --> 00:04:39

Allah place poverty in front of their face,

00:04:39 --> 00:04:41

in their eyes, meaning anything they get won't

00:04:41 --> 00:04:43

be enough for them because they always want

00:04:43 --> 00:04:43

more.

00:04:45 --> 00:04:47

He'll separate all their matters and affairs. So

00:04:47 --> 00:04:50

anything that would have taken less time is

00:04:50 --> 00:04:52

now taking much more time because everything's been

00:04:52 --> 00:04:54

separated from him. And lastly,

00:04:56 --> 00:04:57

He won't be given except for that which

00:04:57 --> 00:04:59

is already written for him anyways. So the

00:04:59 --> 00:05:01

idea is to wake up and have this

00:05:01 --> 00:05:03

concern of akhirah first Where it doesn't mean

00:05:03 --> 00:05:05

that we're equal in time. That's impossible.

00:05:06 --> 00:05:07

People have to work 9 to 5. That's

00:05:07 --> 00:05:09

their work. But what if our work also

00:05:09 --> 00:05:11

becomes a form of worship? With that intentionality,

00:05:12 --> 00:05:14

with the da'wah, that wherever I'm going I'm

00:05:14 --> 00:05:16

carrying the identity of my religion. People get

00:05:17 --> 00:05:18

people feel so proud.

00:05:18 --> 00:05:20

They feel so proud if they're recognized to

00:05:20 --> 00:05:22

be an Ivy League student. They feel so

00:05:22 --> 00:05:24

proud to be recognized as a person working

00:05:24 --> 00:05:27

for a company or a fortune 500 company.

00:05:27 --> 00:05:29

There's nothing that should make us feel more

00:05:29 --> 00:05:30

proud than being identified

00:05:31 --> 00:05:32

as an 'Abdulillah.'

00:05:32 --> 00:05:34

That is an affiliation that is the most

00:05:34 --> 00:05:37

empowering, the most enabling. Not because of what

00:05:37 --> 00:05:39

we are, but because of the affiliation itself.

00:05:39 --> 00:05:41

So I think with that in mind, our

00:05:41 --> 00:05:42

parents, their goal was

00:05:43 --> 00:05:45

don't feel insecure, don't feel like you're missing

00:05:45 --> 00:05:47

out, but at the same time know that

00:05:47 --> 00:05:49

this is a primary cause. This This is

00:05:49 --> 00:05:51

a primary objective of life is to go

00:05:51 --> 00:05:53

ahead and actually make an effort

00:05:53 --> 00:05:55

in learning your deen. And nowadays, mashaAllah, you

00:05:55 --> 00:05:56

know better than me, Adi.

00:05:57 --> 00:05:59

In Chicago and all across the country, there's

00:05:59 --> 00:06:00

so many seminary institutions

00:06:01 --> 00:06:03

where students are flocking to to learn. So

00:06:03 --> 00:06:05

that's a good sign. It's a great sign.

00:06:06 --> 00:06:07

Not just my parents, a lot of the

00:06:07 --> 00:06:08

parents in that generation

00:06:09 --> 00:06:09

dedicated themselves

00:06:10 --> 00:06:12

to sending their kids out of town. Now

00:06:12 --> 00:06:14

there's enough seminaries even in the states that,

00:06:14 --> 00:06:15

you know, they don't have to go too

00:06:15 --> 00:06:17

far Mhmm. Which is great, you know, alhamdulillah.

00:06:17 --> 00:06:20

What's really impressive, are you the younger from

00:06:21 --> 00:06:23

I'm the 4th. You're the 4th youngest? I'm

00:06:23 --> 00:06:25

the 4th. 4th. So there's a younger one.

00:06:25 --> 00:06:26

There's a younger one. My youngest,

00:06:27 --> 00:06:28

his name was Abdul Rahim,

00:06:29 --> 00:06:30

Sheikh Abdul Rahim, Mahdiamullah.

00:06:31 --> 00:06:33

He actually Yes. I remember. Yes. He actually

00:06:33 --> 00:06:34

passed in a tragic car accident. I'm a

00:06:34 --> 00:06:36

grand jannah. Reunite you with your brother and

00:06:37 --> 00:06:38

I'm in garab. So that's

00:06:39 --> 00:06:40

so now yeah. So we're 5 and I'm

00:06:40 --> 00:06:42

number number 4. So my eldest is Sheikh

00:06:42 --> 00:06:43

Abdullah,

00:06:43 --> 00:06:45

and the second is Mufti Abdul Rahman. The

00:06:45 --> 00:06:47

third is Sheikh Abdul Aziz, who's also a

00:06:47 --> 00:06:48

physician,

00:06:48 --> 00:06:49

And I'm number 4.

00:06:50 --> 00:06:52

So it's always tough being a younger brother,

00:06:52 --> 00:06:54

you're bullied. It's alright. We live with it.

00:06:54 --> 00:06:55

That's why I'm gonna come to you. I'm

00:06:55 --> 00:06:56

gonna learn how to do all that stuff.

00:06:56 --> 00:06:57

There you go. So I can figure out

00:06:57 --> 00:07:00

how to how to respond correctly, you know,

00:07:00 --> 00:07:02

with love but with presence. Yes. Yes.

00:07:02 --> 00:07:05

But it really dispels this myth that we

00:07:05 --> 00:07:06

see like, okay, I'll get religious when I

00:07:06 --> 00:07:08

get older and stuff, but to see the

00:07:08 --> 00:07:10

you, you guys are fairly young. Right?

00:07:10 --> 00:07:12

And what's the age range between you and

00:07:12 --> 00:07:15

your older brothers and to see this dedication

00:07:15 --> 00:07:16

that you guys open up this institute and

00:07:16 --> 00:07:18

you dedicated your life now for the deen?

00:07:19 --> 00:07:21

I mean we would truly believe that

00:07:22 --> 00:07:23

the greatest value added in our life is

00:07:23 --> 00:07:25

to serve the deen. Yeah. You know what

00:07:25 --> 00:07:27

I mean? The only way to the only

00:07:27 --> 00:07:28

way to actually do it

00:07:29 --> 00:07:31

the only way to actually do it in

00:07:31 --> 00:07:33

a way that I believe is impactful

00:07:33 --> 00:07:35

is to believe that it brings fulfillment to

00:07:35 --> 00:07:37

you. And it will only bring fulfillment to

00:07:37 --> 00:07:38

a person

00:07:38 --> 00:07:41

if they feel that it's it's a source

00:07:41 --> 00:07:42

of their benefit in dunya in akhirah. Like

00:07:42 --> 00:07:45

this is it. This is not something which

00:07:45 --> 00:07:46

we feel like it's good, it's a side

00:07:46 --> 00:07:48

thing. This is it, you know. And the

00:07:48 --> 00:07:50

prophet there's a dua of Abu Bakr where

00:07:50 --> 00:07:51

he would say

00:07:54 --> 00:07:55

O Allah Almighty God, deprive us

00:07:56 --> 00:07:57

of the good that you have in store

00:07:57 --> 00:07:59

for us because of the flaws that we

00:07:59 --> 00:07:59

possess.

00:08:00 --> 00:08:01

We are

00:08:01 --> 00:08:04

not equal to the dirt on the shoes

00:08:04 --> 00:08:05

of these companions.

00:08:05 --> 00:08:07

And they were used to serve the deen.

00:08:07 --> 00:08:09

And we're also being used to some degree,

00:08:10 --> 00:08:11

minute amount,

00:08:11 --> 00:08:13

to serve the deen. What an what an

00:08:13 --> 00:08:15

honor it is. Right? So yeah, the idea

00:08:15 --> 00:08:17

of when you grow old, a person will

00:08:17 --> 00:08:18

change their life and make that turn. The

00:08:18 --> 00:08:21

question becomes who said that we'll become old?

00:08:21 --> 00:08:23

Yes. Who said we're gonna get there? Who

00:08:23 --> 00:08:24

said that we're gonna make it to that

00:08:24 --> 00:08:26

point? What guarantee do you have? What guarantee

00:08:26 --> 00:08:27

do we have

00:08:27 --> 00:08:29

now? And if we can take now as

00:08:29 --> 00:08:30

which is our present,

00:08:31 --> 00:08:33

as our greatest gift and use it to

00:08:33 --> 00:08:35

protect our family. I mean our but our

00:08:35 --> 00:08:37

main responsibility is protect our children.

00:08:37 --> 00:08:39

Everything else is secondary. But one can't protect

00:08:39 --> 00:08:40

their children

00:08:40 --> 00:08:42

if they're only worried about their children. They

00:08:42 --> 00:08:44

have to worry be worried about the

00:08:44 --> 00:08:46

of everyone around them. The prophet wasn't only

00:08:46 --> 00:08:48

worried about his children. He was worried about

00:08:48 --> 00:08:48

everyone's

00:08:49 --> 00:08:49

children. And therefore,

00:08:50 --> 00:08:52

Allah protected his children and his family as

00:08:52 --> 00:08:54

well. So we're about 5 years apart from

00:08:54 --> 00:08:56

between me and the eldest, 5, 6 years.

00:08:56 --> 00:08:59

You know, so that's that's it's enjoyable because

00:09:00 --> 00:09:02

we're doing it together. It's enjoyable because, you

00:09:02 --> 00:09:04

know, we're in the same space. It's enjoyable

00:09:04 --> 00:09:04

because,

00:09:05 --> 00:09:07

there's there's an extra sense of barakah that

00:09:07 --> 00:09:09

comes from serving the deen of Allah.

00:09:09 --> 00:09:12

Nothing Imagine a person how they feel when

00:09:12 --> 00:09:15

they pray. Now if we do a few

00:09:15 --> 00:09:16

more things for Allah's deen,

00:09:18 --> 00:09:22

Allah reciprocates better than anyone else. And Allah's

00:09:22 --> 00:09:24

reciprocation is not based upon our results.

00:09:24 --> 00:09:27

Allah reciprocates based upon our effort. So even

00:09:27 --> 00:09:28

if we lack in results,

00:09:28 --> 00:09:31

but our effort is such that it's appreciated

00:09:31 --> 00:09:32

by Allah.

00:09:33 --> 00:09:36

It's all we need. Hajar didn't do anything

00:09:37 --> 00:09:38

that forced the water to come from the

00:09:38 --> 00:09:39

earth.

00:09:39 --> 00:09:41

Allah just appreciated what she did. She ran.

00:09:41 --> 00:09:43

I said I got you. I'll cover your

00:09:43 --> 00:09:44

back. And that's the way we should feel

00:09:44 --> 00:09:45

as well.

00:09:46 --> 00:09:48

I wanna get your reaction here and we

00:09:48 --> 00:09:50

can touch upon this because Islam is based

00:09:50 --> 00:09:52

on proof and evidence, it's not just blind

00:09:52 --> 00:09:55

faith faith, correct? 100%. So the more you

00:09:55 --> 00:09:57

study Islam I'm sure you're seeing these signs

00:09:57 --> 00:09:58

that are in there and this is just

00:09:58 --> 00:09:59

one of them here because we talk a

00:09:59 --> 00:10:02

lot about the heart in Islam, right? There's

00:10:02 --> 00:10:03

the call of the heart and we think

00:10:03 --> 00:10:06

now, okay, that the heart now, does it

00:10:06 --> 00:10:07

have a brain of its own? How does

00:10:07 --> 00:10:09

it connect with here? So this is really

00:10:09 --> 00:10:11

fascinating. I wanna get your take on this.

00:10:26 --> 00:10:28

When I was in school, I was taught

00:10:28 --> 00:10:30

that the brain is the master organ in

00:10:30 --> 00:10:31

the body.

00:10:31 --> 00:10:33

But what the new science is showing us

00:10:33 --> 00:10:37

is that the brain receives the instructions telling

00:10:37 --> 00:10:40

it what to do from our heart, the

00:10:40 --> 00:10:42

human heart. And this is a relatively new

00:10:42 --> 00:10:43

way

00:10:43 --> 00:10:44

for science

00:10:45 --> 00:10:47

to think about us and our relationship to

00:10:47 --> 00:10:48

our bodies.

00:10:48 --> 00:10:51

But what we now know is that the

00:10:51 --> 00:10:52

quality of emotions

00:10:53 --> 00:10:56

that we create within our heart determine

00:10:56 --> 00:10:57

the signal

00:10:57 --> 00:10:59

that we send to the brain to release

00:10:59 --> 00:11:02

the chemistry into our bodies. Every moment

00:11:02 --> 00:11:04

of every day, there's a conversation

00:11:05 --> 00:11:07

that is happening between our heart and our

00:11:07 --> 00:11:10

brain. It's the inner environment, thoughts, feelings, emotions,

00:11:10 --> 00:11:13

and beliefs we know can be either healing

00:11:13 --> 00:11:14

or toxic.

00:11:14 --> 00:11:16

I thought that was just so profound That's

00:11:16 --> 00:11:19

beautiful, man. And deep now. You've been a

00:11:19 --> 00:11:20

student of the Quran,

00:11:21 --> 00:11:23

the verbatim words of the creator, God Almighty

00:11:23 --> 00:11:24

Allah for a long time now.

00:11:25 --> 00:11:28

And there's so much that is talked about

00:11:28 --> 00:11:28

the heart.

00:11:29 --> 00:11:31

And now this latest research, what what are

00:11:31 --> 00:11:33

your thoughts when you hear him speak to

00:11:33 --> 00:11:34

scientists? I mean

00:11:35 --> 00:11:36

frankly we're not surprised

00:11:37 --> 00:11:39

because there's there's nothing in the Quran that

00:11:39 --> 00:11:40

is mentioned

00:11:40 --> 00:11:43

that anyway is is, inaccurate.

00:11:43 --> 00:11:45

So if there's a word that is used,

00:11:45 --> 00:11:45

that

00:11:48 --> 00:11:49

the heart is blind.

00:11:50 --> 00:11:52

That means we that's we believe that. That

00:11:52 --> 00:11:53

that that if the heart is blind, that

00:11:53 --> 00:11:54

refers

00:11:55 --> 00:11:56

to the heart physically. Allah

00:11:57 --> 00:12:00

has removed the ability to understand something. Allah,

00:12:00 --> 00:12:01

when he refers to

00:12:02 --> 00:12:04

a recognition, understanding in the Quran, he refers

00:12:04 --> 00:12:06

to the he refers to the heart. That

00:12:06 --> 00:12:07

they have heart.

00:12:09 --> 00:12:10

These are the verses we're talking about. These

00:12:10 --> 00:12:11

are the verses of Allah.

00:12:12 --> 00:12:15

They have hearts that they're unable to understand

00:12:15 --> 00:12:17

through. They are not able to use their

00:12:17 --> 00:12:18

heart to reflect.

00:12:18 --> 00:12:21

Because reality is, you know, we understand that

00:12:21 --> 00:12:21

even

00:12:22 --> 00:12:23

even at the basic level, I mean we're

00:12:23 --> 00:12:24

no scientist,

00:12:24 --> 00:12:26

that the heart is actually where a person

00:12:26 --> 00:12:29

feels infatuation, love, any form of jealousy, hatred,

00:12:29 --> 00:12:30

arrogance.

00:12:30 --> 00:12:32

And that's what sends the signals to the

00:12:32 --> 00:12:34

brain from what they're speaking about. This is

00:12:34 --> 00:12:36

profound. Because everyone used to think if you

00:12:36 --> 00:12:38

can convince a person intellectually you got them.

00:12:38 --> 00:12:40

But the reality is if you can win

00:12:40 --> 00:12:42

their heart. Hence the prophet of Allah was

00:12:42 --> 00:12:43

not sent

00:12:43 --> 00:12:45

to win to win to to to conquer

00:12:45 --> 00:12:47

lands, neither brains. He was sent to conquer

00:12:47 --> 00:12:50

hearts. Because once you can conquer someone's heart,

00:12:50 --> 00:12:52

you have everything of them. So but to

00:12:52 --> 00:12:55

be consistent with how we understand the Qur'an

00:12:55 --> 00:12:57

is there's nothing in it that surprises us

00:12:57 --> 00:12:59

because there's no inaccuracies in it.

00:13:00 --> 00:13:02

There's nothing in it which is inconsistent how

00:13:02 --> 00:13:04

Allah starts off Suratul Kahf, you know, where

00:13:04 --> 00:13:05

He speaks

00:13:06 --> 00:13:08

There's nothing in it that is inaccurate,

00:13:09 --> 00:13:09

inconsistent.

00:13:10 --> 00:13:12

But it's interesting to know that the non

00:13:12 --> 00:13:15

Muslim community is being able to recognize this.

00:13:15 --> 00:13:17

That's why it teaches us that just because

00:13:17 --> 00:13:19

we don't we haven't been exposed to something,

00:13:20 --> 00:13:21

doesn't mean that it's not true.

00:13:21 --> 00:13:24

It just takes time. You know, science is

00:13:24 --> 00:13:26

catching up. The world is catching up to

00:13:26 --> 00:13:27

the Quran. This is 1440

00:13:27 --> 00:13:30

years ago where the heart became the core

00:13:30 --> 00:13:32

for us in our spirituality and our religion.

00:13:33 --> 00:13:36

So people like this who the science that

00:13:36 --> 00:13:36

now catches

00:13:37 --> 00:13:39

up doesn't doesn't approve the Quran but it

00:13:39 --> 00:13:41

just gives a sense of contentment that this

00:13:41 --> 00:13:42

is this is what it is and we

00:13:42 --> 00:13:44

can use it for our purposes as we

00:13:44 --> 00:13:46

need to use it. Right? And we can

00:13:46 --> 00:13:48

feel comfortable about what everything else the Quran

00:13:48 --> 00:13:50

has said to us as well.

00:13:50 --> 00:13:52

Because that idea of

00:13:53 --> 00:13:56

the blindness of the heart is something which

00:13:56 --> 00:13:58

is the core of our religion.

00:13:58 --> 00:14:00

That if the person has basr, they can

00:14:00 --> 00:14:02

see with their eyes but they have no

00:14:02 --> 00:14:02

basirah.

00:14:03 --> 00:14:04

They can't see with their heart because there's

00:14:04 --> 00:14:06

no nur in their heart.

00:14:06 --> 00:14:09

It's the same aspect that if you turn

00:14:09 --> 00:14:10

off the lights of a room

00:14:10 --> 00:14:12

and ask a person to walk around the

00:14:12 --> 00:14:14

room, the most mundane thing to do is

00:14:14 --> 00:14:15

to walk

00:14:15 --> 00:14:16

in your own room.

00:14:17 --> 00:14:19

But because there's no physical light, the absence

00:14:19 --> 00:14:20

of physical light

00:14:21 --> 00:14:23

makes it difficult to do the simplest things.

00:14:24 --> 00:14:25

And similarly,

00:14:26 --> 00:14:28

the absence of the light of the heart

00:14:28 --> 00:14:29

makes it difficult for the person to do

00:14:29 --> 00:14:31

the simplest things.

00:14:31 --> 00:14:33

Like to understand the Oneness of Allah.

00:14:34 --> 00:14:35

To recognize

00:14:35 --> 00:14:38

the weakness of ourselves and our creation,

00:14:38 --> 00:14:40

to understand the dependency that we have upon

00:14:40 --> 00:14:43

God. This becomes difficult because now we're attempting

00:14:43 --> 00:14:45

to live life without the nur of the

00:14:45 --> 00:14:47

heart. And just like how a person in

00:14:47 --> 00:14:49

that dark room, if they stay there for

00:14:49 --> 00:14:50

long enough,

00:14:50 --> 00:14:51

their eyes adjust.

00:14:52 --> 00:14:54

And now they might start to think that

00:14:54 --> 00:14:56

they don't need what? Any light. Yes. Because

00:14:56 --> 00:14:57

their eyes adjust.

00:14:58 --> 00:15:00

Similarly a person, if they remain if their

00:15:00 --> 00:15:03

heart remains absent from the nur of of

00:15:03 --> 00:15:05

the Quran, the nur of our religion, the

00:15:05 --> 00:15:06

light of our religion,

00:15:07 --> 00:15:09

they start seeming to think that we don't

00:15:09 --> 00:15:11

really need it. Everything's going good. I got

00:15:11 --> 00:15:13

family, I got kids, I have a good

00:15:13 --> 00:15:15

job. Why do I need to pray more?

00:15:15 --> 00:15:16

Why do I need to give dawah to

00:15:16 --> 00:15:17

anyone else? Why do I need to read

00:15:17 --> 00:15:19

the Qur'an? I got it unlocked.

00:15:19 --> 00:15:21

That's not having it unlocked. That's just the

00:15:21 --> 00:15:22

heart adjusting.

00:15:23 --> 00:15:25

And now the heart is just filled with

00:15:25 --> 00:15:27

darkness. There's no light there and the heart

00:15:27 --> 00:15:30

is lost. Adjusting again to that spiritual darkness.

00:15:30 --> 00:15:30

The spiritual darkness.

00:15:31 --> 00:15:32

And it gets used to it because at

00:15:32 --> 00:15:34

the end of the day, we are adaptive

00:15:34 --> 00:15:34

creatures.

00:15:35 --> 00:15:36

Just because we got used to it doesn't

00:15:36 --> 00:15:38

mean it's right. There's people that get used

00:15:38 --> 00:15:40

to immodesty, doesn't mean that it's okay.

00:15:40 --> 00:15:42

The human body gets used to many things.

00:15:42 --> 00:15:43

We get desensitized.

00:15:44 --> 00:15:46

And the heart gets desensitized as well. It

00:15:46 --> 00:15:49

becomes what we call physical laziness. The heart

00:15:49 --> 00:15:52

becomes the spiritual it becomes spiritually lethargic.

00:15:53 --> 00:15:54

It doesn't feel the need to do much

00:15:54 --> 00:15:57

anymore because it's content with whatever flow it

00:15:57 --> 00:15:59

already has. That's where Allah says

00:16:01 --> 00:16:02

that the hearts have been sealed.

00:16:02 --> 00:16:04

The heart is alive but it's been sealed

00:16:04 --> 00:16:06

in the sense that there's there's nothing that

00:16:06 --> 00:16:08

can undo the effect of

00:16:09 --> 00:16:12

what it's already experiencing. That's self inflicted. We

00:16:12 --> 00:16:14

can't blame that on God. That's self inflicted.

00:16:14 --> 00:16:17

Because Allah gives us many opportunities. Every single

00:16:17 --> 00:16:18

moment in our life is an opportunity of

00:16:18 --> 00:16:20

tawba, which brings light to the heart. Tawba

00:16:20 --> 00:16:21

meaning repentance.

00:16:22 --> 00:16:25

Repentance. A sense of regret is the absolute

00:16:25 --> 00:16:27

source of light in the heart. For the

00:16:27 --> 00:16:29

non muslims, they tune in to a very

00:16:29 --> 00:16:31

interesting conversation. They hear tawba, they think, okay,

00:16:31 --> 00:16:34

salvation, someone dying for my sins. What's the

00:16:34 --> 00:16:36

salvation in Islam like? There's no such thing

00:16:36 --> 00:16:37

as

00:16:37 --> 00:16:40

as as confession in Islam. There's no concept

00:16:40 --> 00:16:42

of someone else being a source of salvation.

00:16:42 --> 00:16:44

For us, it's

00:16:45 --> 00:16:45

the the the the ball is in our

00:16:45 --> 00:16:46

court.

00:16:46 --> 00:16:48

And that is the most enabling, empowering thing

00:16:48 --> 00:16:50

that there is we don't have to go

00:16:50 --> 00:16:51

to anyone

00:16:51 --> 00:16:53

to ask them to seek forgiveness for us.

00:16:55 --> 00:16:55

We

00:16:56 --> 00:16:58

are God says that, when my servant asks

00:16:58 --> 00:17:00

of me, tell them that I am near.

00:17:00 --> 00:17:02

In the sense that when they call upon

00:17:02 --> 00:17:02

me,

00:17:04 --> 00:17:06

whenever they turn towards me, my response is

00:17:06 --> 00:17:07

there for them.

00:17:09 --> 00:17:11

Just call upon me. So we believe in

00:17:11 --> 00:17:12

our religion

00:17:12 --> 00:17:15

that salvation is me simply having regret for

00:17:15 --> 00:17:17

something that I did. Remorse,

00:17:17 --> 00:17:19

raising my hands and asking for forgiveness. The

00:17:19 --> 00:17:21

prophet of God who was the greatest creation

00:17:21 --> 00:17:24

of God used to seek repentance 70 times

00:17:24 --> 00:17:26

a day. In one narration, 100 times a

00:17:26 --> 00:17:28

day. And seeking repentance and forgiveness

00:17:29 --> 00:17:30

is not simply due to a person's sins,

00:17:30 --> 00:17:32

but it's also a form of gratitude.

00:17:33 --> 00:17:35

That, oh God, whatever you've given me isn't

00:17:35 --> 00:17:37

because of anything that I possess, it's because

00:17:37 --> 00:17:39

of your love. When God starts off one

00:17:39 --> 00:17:41

of the most beautiful chapters of the Quran,

00:17:41 --> 00:17:42

he starts off with saying

00:17:44 --> 00:17:46

arrahman. Beautiful chapter of the Quran, this chapter

00:17:46 --> 00:17:48

of rahman where He speaks about all of

00:17:48 --> 00:17:50

His blessings. He starts off by saying arrahman

00:17:51 --> 00:17:53

which suddenly is an indication how the scholars

00:17:53 --> 00:17:55

mentioned that all of one's blessings in life

00:17:55 --> 00:17:58

are because of the mercy of arrahman. Ar

00:17:58 --> 00:17:59

Rahman. That because he has love for us

00:17:59 --> 00:18:00

and

00:18:00 --> 00:18:02

he has mercy upon us, he's given us

00:18:02 --> 00:18:04

family, children, life, the ecosystem that we live

00:18:04 --> 00:18:07

within. Without his love for us, none of

00:18:07 --> 00:18:07

that would

00:18:08 --> 00:18:10

exist. So for us, it's simply to recognize

00:18:10 --> 00:18:13

that my relationship with Allah or with God

00:18:14 --> 00:18:17

is something that nobody else has any say

00:18:17 --> 00:18:19

in. It's me and him. And the more

00:18:19 --> 00:18:21

I invest in it, the more I receive

00:18:21 --> 00:18:23

from it. Like any relationship. The more I

00:18:23 --> 00:18:25

sit and speak to him, the more he

00:18:25 --> 00:18:26

responds to me.

00:18:26 --> 00:18:29

And for us, tawba is just

00:18:29 --> 00:18:31

regret and remorse. And would

00:18:32 --> 00:18:35

say but it's also very to to go

00:18:35 --> 00:18:37

on a small tangent, I I also feel,

00:18:37 --> 00:18:39

you know, this ability to seek tawba is

00:18:39 --> 00:18:41

also a form of humility.

00:18:41 --> 00:18:43

If a person can't seek forgiveness from God,

00:18:43 --> 00:18:45

how is he ever gonna seek forgiveness from

00:18:45 --> 00:18:47

the people of the world? The Almighty is

00:18:47 --> 00:18:49

the one who is in control.

00:18:49 --> 00:18:51

And if I can't shed a tear in

00:18:51 --> 00:18:53

front of Him to soften my heart, why

00:18:53 --> 00:18:55

would I ever ask forgiveness from my spouse?

00:18:56 --> 00:18:58

How would I ever ask forgiveness from someone

00:18:58 --> 00:18:59

who is lower than me in society,

00:19:00 --> 00:19:03

socioeconomically or just based upon whatever Allah has

00:19:03 --> 00:19:05

given me? Maybe children or whatever it may

00:19:05 --> 00:19:06

be. We can't. That's what the prophet of

00:19:06 --> 00:19:07

Allah says,

00:19:09 --> 00:19:12

Whoever is unable to thank the people around

00:19:12 --> 00:19:12

him or her,

00:19:13 --> 00:19:15

they won't have the ability to thank Allah.

00:19:15 --> 00:19:17

They can't thank God if you can't thank

00:19:17 --> 00:19:18

the people around you. The prerequisite,

00:19:19 --> 00:19:20

the pathway

00:19:20 --> 00:19:22

towards being a person who has a soft

00:19:22 --> 00:19:24

heart is to be able

00:19:24 --> 00:19:27

to seek forgiveness from God. Then a person

00:19:27 --> 00:19:29

loses that shyness that if I wronged you,

00:19:29 --> 00:19:31

I'll say to you, brother Ali forgive me.

00:19:31 --> 00:19:33

It's not a big deal. Forgive me because

00:19:33 --> 00:19:34

I'm used to it. People are not used

00:19:34 --> 00:19:37

to seeking forgiveness from one another because they

00:19:37 --> 00:19:39

haven't been used to seeking forgiveness from God.

00:19:39 --> 00:19:41

They're hoping someone else does it for them.

00:19:41 --> 00:19:42

Nobody can do it for us. At the

00:19:42 --> 00:19:43

end of the day, it's all based upon

00:19:43 --> 00:19:45

the person. The prophet of Allah himself said

00:19:45 --> 00:19:46

that if

00:19:47 --> 00:19:48

if even my children,

00:19:48 --> 00:19:50

if they did something wrong, that's on them.

00:19:51 --> 00:19:53

Not that they did. But the idea is

00:19:53 --> 00:19:55

everyone in the court of God has to

00:19:55 --> 00:19:55

stand

00:19:55 --> 00:19:56

with themselves.

00:19:58 --> 00:19:58

We come independent.

00:19:59 --> 00:20:00

And yes, on that day

00:20:01 --> 00:20:02

if we were people of belief

00:20:03 --> 00:20:05

in the non Muslims here as well,

00:20:05 --> 00:20:07

we will be raised with those whom we

00:20:07 --> 00:20:09

love. So if we're close to people who

00:20:09 --> 00:20:11

are good, God will raise us with those

00:20:11 --> 00:20:13

good people as well. What's your,

00:20:14 --> 00:20:16

your analysis, when we talk about the heart

00:20:16 --> 00:20:19

And we see right now unfolding in 4

00:20:19 --> 00:20:22

k. We're seeing what's happening now in Gaza.

00:20:22 --> 00:20:23

In Palestine,

00:20:23 --> 00:20:25

which at one point you had a relative

00:20:25 --> 00:20:28

peace when Muslims, Jews and Christians, when Muslims

00:20:28 --> 00:20:29

were ruling

00:20:30 --> 00:20:32

Jerusalem there, there was a relative peace, wasn't

00:20:32 --> 00:20:32

there?

00:20:33 --> 00:20:35

The people of the book, they had Their

00:20:35 --> 00:20:38

spaces. Their space. They had their rights protected,

00:20:38 --> 00:20:39

and there wasn't this

00:20:40 --> 00:20:43

stealing of land and whatnot, but you're seeing

00:20:44 --> 00:20:44

land theft,

00:20:45 --> 00:20:47

you're seeing children just being, you know, made

00:20:47 --> 00:20:49

orphans and under the rubble.

00:20:49 --> 00:20:51

There's nothing been like this in our lifetime.

00:20:51 --> 00:20:52

And I'm young, but this

00:20:54 --> 00:20:56

this is a true genocide, you know, for

00:20:56 --> 00:20:58

whatever for for for what we're seeing right

00:20:58 --> 00:21:00

now. This is unbelievable. And the fact that

00:21:01 --> 00:21:02

we're seeing it and we can't do much

00:21:02 --> 00:21:04

about it is is it's sometimes it feels

00:21:04 --> 00:21:07

paralyzing. But to finish your question, go ahead.

00:21:07 --> 00:21:08

Yeah. So that that was it. I wanted

00:21:08 --> 00:21:09

to get your thoughts

00:21:10 --> 00:21:12

with, what's happening and your

00:21:12 --> 00:21:14

you've been talking about a lot to your

00:21:14 --> 00:21:17

community and what, what is your take now?

00:21:17 --> 00:21:18

You have other things that go alongside with

00:21:18 --> 00:21:20

this, the antichrist, the Dajjal,

00:21:21 --> 00:21:23

some people trying to engineer prophecies,

00:21:24 --> 00:21:25

the red cows. I don't know if you've

00:21:25 --> 00:21:26

looked into this.

00:21:27 --> 00:21:28

So people are talking about these things. What's

00:21:28 --> 00:21:30

your take? I think the first aspect of

00:21:30 --> 00:21:31

the question is

00:21:32 --> 00:21:33

about the heart.

00:21:34 --> 00:21:36

If someone is sitting watching these videos,

00:21:37 --> 00:21:40

you have 2 options. Option number 1 is

00:21:40 --> 00:21:42

to identify that your heart is already dead

00:21:42 --> 00:21:44

because it doesn't get affected by

00:21:44 --> 00:21:45

it. And you justify

00:21:46 --> 00:21:48

it. It's not really this. It's not truly

00:21:48 --> 00:21:48

this.

00:21:49 --> 00:21:50

Even Iblis,

00:21:51 --> 00:21:53

who is the devil himself,

00:21:54 --> 00:21:55

found ways to justify

00:21:56 --> 00:21:56

his disobedience.

00:21:57 --> 00:21:58

Justification

00:21:59 --> 00:22:01

in no way is a claim to innocence.

00:22:01 --> 00:22:03

It's simply a claim

00:22:03 --> 00:22:06

to giving yourself a foothold. A justification

00:22:06 --> 00:22:08

is is never a law It's never a

00:22:08 --> 00:22:09

claim to innocence. To innocence. It's never a

00:22:09 --> 00:22:10

claim to innocence. Yeah. It's a claim to

00:22:10 --> 00:22:11

being

00:22:11 --> 00:22:14

being wrong. It's a claim to being guilty

00:22:14 --> 00:22:14

in that sense.

00:22:15 --> 00:22:17

Like we never justify our sins to God.

00:22:18 --> 00:22:20

There's nowhere in our tradition that we're taught

00:22:20 --> 00:22:22

that when we commit a sin, that before

00:22:22 --> 00:22:24

we start our forgiveness we justify.

00:22:24 --> 00:22:26

That this is why it happened. That doesn't

00:22:26 --> 00:22:28

matter. The fact that I created, the fact

00:22:28 --> 00:22:30

that I committed so and so

00:22:31 --> 00:22:34

crime, God doesn't need us to justify. He

00:22:34 --> 00:22:36

already knows the depths of the heart. Speaking

00:22:36 --> 00:22:37

to him about the justification

00:22:38 --> 00:22:41

is simmering down our guilt. No. I made

00:22:41 --> 00:22:43

a mistake. I seek forgiveness for it. So

00:22:43 --> 00:22:45

this just to be able to justify

00:22:47 --> 00:22:49

is not something that in any way shape

00:22:49 --> 00:22:50

or form shows innocence.

00:22:51 --> 00:22:52

Ibelief's justified.

00:22:53 --> 00:22:55

The devil. The devil. He said, No. God

00:22:55 --> 00:22:55

look.

00:22:57 --> 00:22:58

Well how how do you

00:22:59 --> 00:23:01

prosper in front of this person that you

00:23:01 --> 00:23:02

made from dirt?

00:23:02 --> 00:23:03

And his justification

00:23:03 --> 00:23:04

was actually

00:23:04 --> 00:23:05

quite strong

00:23:06 --> 00:23:07

because based on

00:23:07 --> 00:23:10

the rational sense it made sense. You made

00:23:10 --> 00:23:12

me from fire and fire always goes up

00:23:12 --> 00:23:13

and He made him from dirt, dirt always

00:23:13 --> 00:23:16

falls. I am a superior creation.

00:23:16 --> 00:23:18

Well I'm not gonna do sajdah to him.

00:23:18 --> 00:23:19

Even though you're the one commanding me to

00:23:19 --> 00:23:21

do it. So a person

00:23:22 --> 00:23:24

that sees these videos, option 1 is to

00:23:24 --> 00:23:26

just identify their heart as dead because it's

00:23:26 --> 00:23:27

not being affected by it. You can justify

00:23:27 --> 00:23:29

it however you wish and the world can

00:23:29 --> 00:23:32

justify it however they wish. The reality is

00:23:32 --> 00:23:34

that this person's heart is dead. Is that's

00:23:34 --> 00:23:35

why they have to because this is a

00:23:35 --> 00:23:37

human thing. I mean, if you have any

00:23:37 --> 00:23:38

sense of humanity,

00:23:38 --> 00:23:40

if your heart is any whatsoever point of

00:23:40 --> 00:23:40

being alive, you're gonna react. You're gonna say,

00:23:40 --> 00:23:41

hey, this is not right. This point of

00:23:41 --> 00:23:42

being alive, you're gonna react. You're gonna say,

00:23:42 --> 00:23:43

hey. This is not right. The same way

00:23:43 --> 00:23:44

we would also react if these were non

00:23:44 --> 00:23:47

if these were if this was happening on

00:23:47 --> 00:23:48

the flip side.

00:23:50 --> 00:23:51

But to go ahead and justify it, to

00:23:51 --> 00:23:53

spin it, to what now, this I mean,

00:23:53 --> 00:23:54

the greatest sign that the heart is dead

00:23:54 --> 00:23:57

is simply if this happens anywhere else, the

00:23:57 --> 00:23:59

heart heart beats differently. Yeah. That means that

00:23:59 --> 00:24:02

means it's dead toward a certain area. It's

00:24:02 --> 00:24:03

dead toward certain people. Because if it happens

00:24:03 --> 00:24:04

somewhere else,

00:24:05 --> 00:24:06

there's a different sense of That's why you

00:24:06 --> 00:24:07

have to make the people now

00:24:08 --> 00:24:10

that they're you have to label them as

00:24:10 --> 00:24:13

animals. You have to make them less human.

00:24:13 --> 00:24:15

You see, you know, the the That's the

00:24:15 --> 00:24:17

only way to justify. Justify. Yeah. That's the

00:24:17 --> 00:24:18

only way to justify

00:24:18 --> 00:24:19

our

00:24:20 --> 00:24:21

our understanding

00:24:21 --> 00:24:23

that these people's hearts are dead. That's the

00:24:23 --> 00:24:25

only way to justify or else how would

00:24:25 --> 00:24:26

they survive with life? How would they sleep

00:24:26 --> 00:24:28

at night? How would you treat your children?

00:24:29 --> 00:24:31

So the other the other the reality is

00:24:31 --> 00:24:33

Allah has created us, God has created us

00:24:33 --> 00:24:35

through 2 elements. 1 is a physical element,

00:24:35 --> 00:24:37

1 is a spiritual element which is the

00:24:37 --> 00:24:37

soul

00:24:38 --> 00:24:39

and the heart. And there are certain things

00:24:39 --> 00:24:41

that Allah in the Quran speaks about fitra

00:24:41 --> 00:24:43

to Allah. This is the fitra of Allah.

00:24:44 --> 00:24:45

That that he has

00:24:46 --> 00:24:49

He has structured and and created us with

00:24:49 --> 00:24:51

innate features. So for example,

00:24:51 --> 00:24:52

the physical body.

00:24:53 --> 00:24:55

If we enter into a room that we

00:24:56 --> 00:24:58

smell something which is which which has a

00:24:58 --> 00:24:58

foul smell.

00:24:59 --> 00:25:00

It's there's a stench,

00:25:01 --> 00:25:04

skunk, or whatever it may be. Physically, it

00:25:04 --> 00:25:06

doesn't matter where you came from in this

00:25:06 --> 00:25:06

world.

00:25:07 --> 00:25:09

God has created us that that smell would

00:25:09 --> 00:25:10

bother us.

00:25:10 --> 00:25:12

Even if it comes from our loved ones.

00:25:12 --> 00:25:14

We'll say, Hey man, can you step away

00:25:14 --> 00:25:14

for a moment?

00:25:15 --> 00:25:18

Let me give you some space. Because physically

00:25:18 --> 00:25:19

we've been encoded

00:25:19 --> 00:25:20

the same way

00:25:21 --> 00:25:23

within the spectrum. Of course someone's more sensitive,

00:25:23 --> 00:25:25

someone is less sensitive, but everyone is encoded

00:25:25 --> 00:25:28

within that spectrum. If I smell that, it'll

00:25:28 --> 00:25:30

bother me. That's a fitra. That's an innate

00:25:30 --> 00:25:33

feature of our physical existence that we cannot

00:25:33 --> 00:25:34

stay in a room

00:25:35 --> 00:25:37

where there is that stench that is there.

00:25:37 --> 00:25:37

Similarly,

00:25:38 --> 00:25:40

physical. The physical fitra is if I enter

00:25:40 --> 00:25:41

into a space

00:25:42 --> 00:25:44

that is scary, physically we get fear, we

00:25:44 --> 00:25:45

have anxiety.

00:25:45 --> 00:25:46

Similarly

00:25:46 --> 00:25:49

the heart has a innate feature.

00:25:49 --> 00:25:51

This is why Allah gave the heart the

00:25:51 --> 00:25:53

it's a it's a core focus of our

00:25:53 --> 00:25:54

spirituality

00:25:54 --> 00:25:57

that the heart also has a key feature

00:25:57 --> 00:25:59

which is that it only loves the qualities

00:25:59 --> 00:26:00

that Allah has.

00:26:01 --> 00:26:03

And it dislikes any quality that Allah dislikes,

00:26:03 --> 00:26:05

that God dislikes. For example,

00:26:05 --> 00:26:08

if anyone sees even a father or mother

00:26:08 --> 00:26:09

hitting their children,

00:26:10 --> 00:26:12

there is this what we call karahiya,

00:26:13 --> 00:26:13

reprehensibility

00:26:14 --> 00:26:14

towards like,

00:26:15 --> 00:26:16

why is he doing that? Why is she

00:26:16 --> 00:26:18

doing that for her? You don't even know

00:26:18 --> 00:26:18

the people.

00:26:19 --> 00:26:20

But the fitra

00:26:21 --> 00:26:21

is powerful.

00:26:22 --> 00:26:25

It's almost impossible to undo it unless the

00:26:25 --> 00:26:27

environment around us is so overwhelming. One of

00:26:27 --> 00:26:28

the things that fitra

00:26:29 --> 00:26:30

absolutely loves

00:26:30 --> 00:26:31

is justice.

00:26:32 --> 00:26:34

That's why we're seeing what we're seeing. Muslims

00:26:34 --> 00:26:36

and non Muslims alike are standing up because

00:26:36 --> 00:26:38

you can't push away the fitra.

00:26:38 --> 00:26:40

The smell is bad, it's bad.

00:26:40 --> 00:26:43

Humans are attached to the fitra of justice.

00:26:44 --> 00:26:45

Since the beginning of time,

00:26:46 --> 00:26:47

Ibrahim alaihi salam stood up against his father

00:26:48 --> 00:26:49

because of justice.

00:26:49 --> 00:26:51

Musa alaihi salam stood up against firaoun,

00:26:52 --> 00:26:52

Moses,

00:26:53 --> 00:26:54

our prophets, and the prophets of some of

00:26:54 --> 00:26:56

the non Muslims as well. The irony is

00:26:56 --> 00:26:57

this is the prophet of Bani Israel.

00:26:58 --> 00:27:01

He stood up against justice, all of that

00:27:01 --> 00:27:03

which he stood up for was the oppression

00:27:03 --> 00:27:04

of the children of Israelites.

00:27:06 --> 00:27:06

Justice.

00:27:07 --> 00:27:07

Isa,

00:27:07 --> 00:27:09

the Messiah for the Christians.

00:27:09 --> 00:27:11

Why was he put on this

00:27:12 --> 00:27:14

why was he, in their religion, crucified? Or

00:27:14 --> 00:27:15

why did he die for their sins? And

00:27:15 --> 00:27:17

we believe that he was raised because of

00:27:17 --> 00:27:20

justice. He was standing against injustice for justice.

00:27:21 --> 00:27:22

That is an innate feature of our Those

00:27:22 --> 00:27:25

are our examples. Our examples. It doesn't matter

00:27:25 --> 00:27:27

which prophet you look at, their presence

00:27:29 --> 00:27:30

was to repel injustice

00:27:31 --> 00:27:33

because the heart cannot live

00:27:34 --> 00:27:35

Just like our physical body can't be in

00:27:35 --> 00:27:37

a room where there's a stench,

00:27:37 --> 00:27:39

the heart can't stay in a place where

00:27:39 --> 00:27:41

there's an overwhelming injustice.

00:27:41 --> 00:27:43

This is the innate feature of a human

00:27:43 --> 00:27:45

being. So option 2 is we let our

00:27:45 --> 00:27:48

fitra take over. And the fitra is something

00:27:48 --> 00:27:49

which is natural. We don't have to justify.

00:27:49 --> 00:27:51

Do Do we have to justify why we

00:27:51 --> 00:27:52

don't like a bad smell?

00:27:53 --> 00:27:54

We don't have to justify

00:27:54 --> 00:27:55

why

00:27:55 --> 00:27:57

we are unable to stand

00:27:57 --> 00:27:59

what we're seeing because that is the innate

00:27:59 --> 00:28:01

feature of the heart. So that's reality and

00:28:01 --> 00:28:03

may Allah allow us to be amongst those

00:28:03 --> 00:28:05

that whichever way we can

00:28:05 --> 00:28:07

make an impact. Whether that's through our donations,

00:28:07 --> 00:28:09

whether that's through our encampments, whether that's through

00:28:09 --> 00:28:10

our protest,

00:28:10 --> 00:28:12

whether that's through our tajjud and our dua.

00:28:12 --> 00:28:15

Because everything has an impact and we can't

00:28:15 --> 00:28:17

undermine one person's impact because of someone else.

00:28:17 --> 00:28:20

Everyone has their responsibility and we should be

00:28:20 --> 00:28:21

doing all of it as much as we

00:28:21 --> 00:28:23

can. I wanna show you, I saw some

00:28:23 --> 00:28:25

very interesting couple of interesting clips

00:28:25 --> 00:28:26

and we're

00:28:26 --> 00:28:28

seeing something profound also happening on the flip

00:28:28 --> 00:28:29

side

00:28:29 --> 00:28:32

that we're seeing a lot of Americans, a

00:28:32 --> 00:28:33

lot of people in general all over the

00:28:33 --> 00:28:36

world, because of this, they're looking into Islam.

00:28:37 --> 00:28:38

And this is one of those individuals here.

00:28:38 --> 00:28:39

I'm one of 2 of them actually. I

00:28:39 --> 00:28:41

wanna show you this clip and then get

00:28:41 --> 00:28:41

your reaction.

00:28:42 --> 00:28:44

Oh god. You are far from all imperfections.

00:28:44 --> 00:28:45

Praise be to you. Blessed is your name.

00:28:45 --> 00:28:47

Exalted is your majesty. There is no god

00:28:47 --> 00:28:49

that you I take refuge in god from

00:28:49 --> 00:28:51

Satan, the accursed in the name of God,

00:28:51 --> 00:28:52

the gracious, the compassionate praise to God, Lord

00:28:52 --> 00:28:55

of the worlds, the gracious, the compassionate master

00:28:55 --> 00:28:56

of the day of judgment. You alone, we

00:28:56 --> 00:28:58

serve you alone. We ask for help. Guide

00:28:58 --> 00:28:59

us to the straight path. The path of

00:28:59 --> 00:29:00

those whom you have blessed, not those who

00:29:00 --> 00:29:02

have occurred the wrath nor the misguided. In

00:29:02 --> 00:29:04

the name of God, the gracious, the compassionate.

00:29:04 --> 00:29:06

Time bears witness. The human is indeed in

00:29:06 --> 00:29:08

loss, except those who believe and do good

00:29:08 --> 00:29:09

works and support one another with the truth

00:29:09 --> 00:29:11

and support one another with perseverance. God is

00:29:11 --> 00:29:13

greatest glory to our lord, the exalted god

00:29:13 --> 00:29:15

here who praises him. Our lord, all praise

00:29:15 --> 00:29:17

be to you. God is greatest. Oh, god.

00:29:17 --> 00:29:18

Glory be to you. The most high. God

00:29:18 --> 00:29:20

is greatest. God is greatest. Oh, god. Glory

00:29:20 --> 00:29:22

be to you. The most high. God is

00:29:22 --> 00:29:24

greatest. In the name of god, the gracious,

00:29:24 --> 00:29:25

the compassionate. Praises the god, lord of the

00:29:25 --> 00:29:28

worlds. The great Obviously, you can get into,

00:29:28 --> 00:29:30

you know, the fiqh of, how he's a

00:29:30 --> 00:29:33

lot. But, no. Obviously, he's somebody,

00:29:33 --> 00:29:34

just from

00:29:35 --> 00:29:38

observing that he's probably looked into Islam and

00:29:38 --> 00:29:40

his fitrah, his innate nature is like, you

00:29:40 --> 00:29:41

know, maybe he's reading the Quran and he

00:29:42 --> 00:29:44

just, whatever he knows, he's like watching, trying

00:29:44 --> 00:29:45

to

00:29:46 --> 00:29:48

mimic and he's starting to pray reading the

00:29:48 --> 00:29:50

Quran, verses from the Quran.

00:29:50 --> 00:29:53

That's deep, That's deep, man. Well, Allah's

00:29:54 --> 00:29:55

system is of the divine and the most

00:29:55 --> 00:29:58

wise. Yeah. And we've seen in Ramadan how

00:29:58 --> 00:30:00

many conversions and people that have

00:30:00 --> 00:30:02

reverted just by seeing what's happening in the

00:30:02 --> 00:30:03

Gaza.

00:30:04 --> 00:30:05

Are you are you in in Detroit? Are

00:30:05 --> 00:30:06

you getting more,

00:30:07 --> 00:30:10

people inquiring visiting your mosque? 100%. Our seminary,

00:30:11 --> 00:30:11

our institution,

00:30:12 --> 00:30:15

our, the different programs that we have, We

00:30:15 --> 00:30:16

have more,

00:30:16 --> 00:30:19

non Muslims coming now than ever. And more

00:30:19 --> 00:30:21

reverting now than ever as well. In most

00:30:21 --> 00:30:22

and every session in Ramadan

00:30:22 --> 00:30:24

that we had during the weekdays and weeknights,

00:30:24 --> 00:30:26

the qiyams, the programs,

00:30:26 --> 00:30:27

the khatams.

00:30:27 --> 00:30:29

We have people coming in and and just

00:30:30 --> 00:30:32

accepting the fold of Islam, which is which

00:30:32 --> 00:30:33

is what Allah says.

00:30:35 --> 00:30:37

When Allah refers to his conquest,

00:30:38 --> 00:30:39

which people refer to as Fatimaqa,

00:30:39 --> 00:30:42

he he highlights the conquest was

00:30:45 --> 00:30:47

The people came into the fold of Islam

00:30:47 --> 00:30:49

in large groups which is what we're seeing

00:30:49 --> 00:30:51

today right now. So this is a victory

00:30:51 --> 00:30:52

for them, you know, the people that are

00:30:52 --> 00:30:55

coming into Islam. Which is which is I'm

00:30:55 --> 00:30:57

not sure if in my short time in

00:30:57 --> 00:30:59

this world, it's unprecedented that we've seen this

00:30:59 --> 00:31:00

many people

00:31:00 --> 00:31:03

to become Muslim through one through one specific

00:31:03 --> 00:31:06

con, one specific challenge. Not that through other

00:31:06 --> 00:31:08

things, just through what's happening in Gaza. Uh-huh.

00:31:08 --> 00:31:10

Just just by seeing that. Because the heart

00:31:10 --> 00:31:12

is look, at the end of the fitrah

00:31:12 --> 00:31:14

is a fitrah. You know? And you can

00:31:14 --> 00:31:17

use the argument of nature versus nurture. Yeah.

00:31:17 --> 00:31:18

But nature of a person is what's there.

00:31:18 --> 00:31:20

It doesn't take much investigation.

00:31:20 --> 00:31:22

There's people I've interviewed so many that You

00:31:22 --> 00:31:24

have so many of these people that, mashaAllah,

00:31:25 --> 00:31:27

turn towards Islam. Yeah. And it's

00:31:27 --> 00:31:29

amazing because Islam makes sense. It goes with

00:31:29 --> 00:31:32

the nature. Worship 1 creator and nothing is

00:31:32 --> 00:31:34

where they worship the one God, the same

00:31:34 --> 00:31:35

God of Jesus, Moses, Abraham,

00:31:36 --> 00:31:38

you know, be morally upright, Straightforward is simple.

00:31:38 --> 00:31:39

It's not asking you to believe in 3

00:31:39 --> 00:31:40

and 1, 13,

00:31:41 --> 00:31:43

you know, a human being is God or

00:31:43 --> 00:31:44

any of these strange It's not complicated. Superstitions.

00:31:45 --> 00:31:46

It's not complicated. Straightforward.

00:31:47 --> 00:31:49

Even with all the, duplicity, the dishonest

00:31:49 --> 00:31:51

media reporting, I call it the,

00:31:52 --> 00:31:54

hate $1,000,000,000 hate industry. When you when you

00:31:54 --> 00:31:56

add up, Fox News and many of these,

00:31:56 --> 00:31:58

pundits out there.

00:31:58 --> 00:32:00

There's another clip and then we'll we'll touch

00:32:00 --> 00:32:01

upon this and we'll conclude.

00:32:02 --> 00:32:04

People are also starting to see

00:32:05 --> 00:32:06

past because there was a lot of junk,

00:32:07 --> 00:32:09

garbage put out there, Muslim are terrorists, Muslim

00:32:09 --> 00:32:10

are this, that, and the other, you know,

00:32:10 --> 00:32:13

the boogeyman coming to get you. But here's

00:32:13 --> 00:32:15

here's a very interesting clip that people are

00:32:15 --> 00:32:18

starting to see beyond that programming. Ain't nobody

00:32:18 --> 00:32:20

afraid of Muslim people anymore. The war on

00:32:20 --> 00:32:23

terror propaganda is not working. I've met a

00:32:23 --> 00:32:24

lot of Muslim people at this point in

00:32:24 --> 00:32:26

my life, and almost all of them were

00:32:26 --> 00:32:28

extremely kind, and a lot of them were

00:32:28 --> 00:32:31

super disciplined and focused, which is something that

00:32:31 --> 00:32:33

I respect a lot as a wrestler. Some

00:32:33 --> 00:32:35

of my favorite mixed martial arts fighters like

00:32:35 --> 00:32:36

Khabib Nurmagomedov

00:32:36 --> 00:32:39

are devout Muslims. Nowadays, we have white boys

00:32:39 --> 00:32:41

in the rural Midwest rooting for Muslims every

00:32:41 --> 00:32:44

UFC fight night. You're not gonna be able

00:32:44 --> 00:32:46

to convince us that these people are evil

00:32:46 --> 00:32:47

and that our tax dollars need to be

00:32:47 --> 00:32:49

spent on bombing them. And you know who

00:32:49 --> 00:32:52

hasn't always been kind and friendly to me?

00:32:52 --> 00:32:52

Israelis,

00:32:53 --> 00:32:53

Zionists.

00:32:54 --> 00:32:56

I talked to some members of the IDF

00:32:56 --> 00:32:58

on Zoom. It took them about 5 minutes

00:32:58 --> 00:33:00

to start saying all Muslim people are terrorists.

00:33:00 --> 00:33:02

And to be clear, I'm not talking about

00:33:02 --> 00:33:04

Jewish people. I'm talking about supporters of the

00:33:04 --> 00:33:08

state of Israel who, with their violent, unhinged,

00:33:08 --> 00:33:10

and rude behavior, are turning more and more

00:33:10 --> 00:33:13

people away from their cause, away from Zionism.

00:33:13 --> 00:33:16

Meanwhile, Muslim people with kindness and friendship are

00:33:16 --> 00:33:18

bringing more people towards the cause of Palestine.

00:33:18 --> 00:33:20

There were a bunch of students at the

00:33:20 --> 00:33:23

student protest recently who converted to Islam. And

00:33:23 --> 00:33:25

the mainstream media was like, look at this.

00:33:25 --> 00:33:28

See, America's being taken over by Muslims. Now

00:33:28 --> 00:33:30

I'm like, I don't blame those kids for

00:33:30 --> 00:33:32

converting to Islam at all. The Muslim students

00:33:32 --> 00:33:34

were probably super nice and super awesome and

00:33:34 --> 00:33:36

super welcoming, and they're like, hey. I'm gonna

00:33:36 --> 00:33:39

side with these guys against the mostly secular

00:33:39 --> 00:33:43

genocidal monsters that we're protesting against. Your thoughts.

00:33:43 --> 00:33:43

That's crazy.

00:33:44 --> 00:33:46

That's beautiful. This is the heartbeat now in,

00:33:47 --> 00:33:49

what You know what? It's it's you know

00:33:49 --> 00:33:51

how how the masha' speak speak about. The

00:33:51 --> 00:33:52

masks are coming off. The masks are coming

00:33:52 --> 00:33:54

off. The masks are coming off. People are

00:33:54 --> 00:33:56

noticing what what what what is true from

00:33:56 --> 00:33:57

what is falsehood.

00:33:59 --> 00:34:01

Allah says when the truth appears,

00:34:02 --> 00:34:04

in falsehood would have no space left in

00:34:04 --> 00:34:05

the room.

00:34:06 --> 00:34:07

The challenge is how can I be a

00:34:07 --> 00:34:09

manifestation of the truth?

00:34:09 --> 00:34:10

How can I be a source of that?

00:34:10 --> 00:34:11

Well for people as well. How can I

00:34:11 --> 00:34:13

display the truth

00:34:13 --> 00:34:15

in my workplace? How can I display the

00:34:15 --> 00:34:17

truth in my university? How the young youngsters

00:34:17 --> 00:34:19

and young students are doing, man. That that

00:34:19 --> 00:34:21

that what the youngsters converting to Islam

00:34:22 --> 00:34:24

because of these protests and encampments

00:34:24 --> 00:34:26

is a sign that they're doing it civilly

00:34:26 --> 00:34:27

and doing it peacefully. Why don't they even

00:34:27 --> 00:34:30

wanna revert or turn towards Islam if they

00:34:30 --> 00:34:31

were being pushed away? Now he said it

00:34:31 --> 00:34:33

better than anyone that were probably just super

00:34:33 --> 00:34:35

nice. They broke their * very well. They're

00:34:35 --> 00:34:37

probably just really nice people. You know. Famar

00:34:37 --> 00:34:40

arahmatumillahi, he didn't tell at home. Allah sallam

00:34:40 --> 00:34:40

that

00:34:41 --> 00:34:42

one of the reasons why people came close

00:34:42 --> 00:34:43

to you is because you were just really

00:34:43 --> 00:34:44

nice.

00:34:44 --> 00:34:45

You were very kind.

00:34:46 --> 00:34:47

You were soft towards them.

00:34:48 --> 00:34:50

A believer is a soft person. People always

00:34:50 --> 00:34:52

want to stay attached to them and always

00:34:52 --> 00:34:54

want to stay close to them. And the

00:34:54 --> 00:34:56

Palestinians have just reminded us that

00:34:57 --> 00:34:57

the

00:34:58 --> 00:34:59

the Palestinians Palestinians have reminded us that the

00:34:59 --> 00:35:01

stories of sahabus were not fairy tales. These

00:35:02 --> 00:35:02

they were real.

00:35:03 --> 00:35:03

Despite

00:35:04 --> 00:35:05

the pain that was brought to them, they

00:35:05 --> 00:35:08

remained upright towards God and they also remained

00:35:08 --> 00:35:10

upright towards the rights of people.

00:35:10 --> 00:35:13

They didn't take vengeance and revenge in a

00:35:13 --> 00:35:13

way that was

00:35:14 --> 00:35:16

not approved by God. You know, everything was

00:35:16 --> 00:35:19

everything that they're doing is within the within

00:35:19 --> 00:35:21

the spectrum of what our religion has encouraged

00:35:21 --> 00:35:24

them to do. Remain patient. Remain grateful. Remain

00:35:24 --> 00:35:26

content, still pray. People that have gone there

00:35:26 --> 00:35:28

are saying, alhamdulillah, more than us,

00:35:28 --> 00:35:30

which shows that their level of iman is

00:35:30 --> 00:35:32

at a different level. You know, there's no

00:35:32 --> 00:35:33

comparison.

00:35:33 --> 00:35:34

But to your point,

00:35:34 --> 00:35:37

these people who have seen the propaganda to

00:35:37 --> 00:35:38

be what it is

00:35:38 --> 00:35:40

is also a victory for us. There's so

00:35:40 --> 00:35:41

many victories hidden in this

00:35:42 --> 00:35:45

because of what we're seeing around. The biggest

00:35:45 --> 00:35:47

victory is what we understand from the Quran.

00:35:49 --> 00:35:51

Whatever is beneficial to people,

00:35:52 --> 00:35:53

whatever brings goodness to them,

00:35:54 --> 00:35:55

Allah in the Quran, and God in the

00:35:55 --> 00:35:57

Quran, he states that it will always remain

00:35:58 --> 00:35:59

because it brings benefit to people.

00:36:00 --> 00:36:01

So rather than getting caught up on what

00:36:01 --> 00:36:03

they're saying, we see the Muslims being caught

00:36:03 --> 00:36:05

up on what we can do for people.

00:36:05 --> 00:36:07

We see the Muslims caught up on what

00:36:07 --> 00:36:09

they can do. We're not being this is

00:36:09 --> 00:36:09

the first time

00:36:10 --> 00:36:12

in perhaps a long time that we're not

00:36:12 --> 00:36:13

just responding, we're actually

00:36:14 --> 00:36:16

on the front lines. We're setting the narrative.

00:36:16 --> 00:36:18

We're setting the narrative for everyone else. We're

00:36:18 --> 00:36:20

not responding to anyone else's narrative. We're beyond

00:36:20 --> 00:36:22

that. We're not trying to respond to why

00:36:22 --> 00:36:24

we are and why we're not something. This

00:36:24 --> 00:36:26

is who we are. You have a question,

00:36:26 --> 00:36:27

come see us.

00:36:27 --> 00:36:29

But we're not responding to your narrative because

00:36:29 --> 00:36:31

that already puts us on the defense line.

00:36:31 --> 00:36:32

That already makes a scene that we're justifying

00:36:32 --> 00:36:34

and there's no need for that. I think

00:36:34 --> 00:36:34

what

00:36:35 --> 00:36:36

what this wrestler says is like the we

00:36:36 --> 00:36:38

all know you can't convince us anymore. Yeah.

00:36:38 --> 00:36:40

But at the end of the day, maybe

00:36:40 --> 00:36:43

someone's not watching that those videos. So our

00:36:43 --> 00:36:45

responsibility is to play that role in our

00:36:45 --> 00:36:45

workspaces.

00:36:46 --> 00:36:48

That's what dawah is. Our responsibility is to

00:36:48 --> 00:36:50

play that role for our neighbors. That's what

00:36:50 --> 00:36:52

the prophet of Allah spoke so highly of

00:36:52 --> 00:36:53

a good neighbor. Our responsibility is to play

00:36:53 --> 00:36:55

that role in the student council if we're

00:36:55 --> 00:36:57

there as a youngster. Our responsibility is to

00:36:57 --> 00:36:59

play that role on campus

00:36:59 --> 00:37:01

because if people can't recognize us for who

00:37:01 --> 00:37:02

we are as believers, then they won't they

00:37:02 --> 00:37:04

won't recognize the beauty of Islam.

00:37:04 --> 00:37:07

Right? They have to know that whatever good

00:37:07 --> 00:37:07

that we're doing

00:37:08 --> 00:37:10

is highly in part of is greatly in

00:37:10 --> 00:37:11

part of us being Muslims.

00:37:12 --> 00:37:14

So if they're appreciating us,

00:37:15 --> 00:37:17

they should by they should be appreciating our

00:37:17 --> 00:37:19

religion, not just us, because we're nobodies.

00:37:20 --> 00:37:21

Right? The virtue is not us.

00:37:22 --> 00:37:23

Islam is growing despite of us. It's not

00:37:23 --> 00:37:26

growing because of us. People are loving our

00:37:26 --> 00:37:28

religion despite of us, not because of us.

00:37:28 --> 00:37:30

So if we can always refer back that

00:37:30 --> 00:37:32

this is something that God taught us, it's

00:37:32 --> 00:37:34

something that the prophet taught us, it would

00:37:34 --> 00:37:35

bring honor to them. It would show them

00:37:35 --> 00:37:37

that this is something that that we actually

00:37:37 --> 00:37:39

revere, not that something that we're always burdened

00:37:39 --> 00:37:40

by.

00:37:40 --> 00:37:42

These are our teachings now. This is not

00:37:42 --> 00:37:43

just because you're a good person. This is

00:37:43 --> 00:37:45

Islam teaching you. This is Islam. I held

00:37:45 --> 00:37:47

the door open for you not because of

00:37:47 --> 00:37:49

me. I held it open for sponsors. Islam.

00:37:49 --> 00:37:51

Right? Don't refer the goodness back to yourself

00:37:51 --> 00:37:53

because we know we're not that good. Yes.

00:37:53 --> 00:37:54

Refer to the goodness back to where we

00:37:54 --> 00:37:56

actually got it from. Yes. Every time someone

00:37:56 --> 00:37:57

asks us how did you succeed in life

00:37:57 --> 00:37:59

and how did you receive this and that,

00:37:59 --> 00:38:00

we all say, yeah, it was good education,

00:38:01 --> 00:38:03

good parents. But how about my teachings?

00:38:04 --> 00:38:05

How about the fact that I was raised

00:38:05 --> 00:38:06

with the Qur'an?

00:38:07 --> 00:38:09

If a person, anonymous, never hears

00:38:10 --> 00:38:12

the value added that comes from our religion,

00:38:12 --> 00:38:14

why would they come and turn towards it?

00:38:14 --> 00:38:16

In this world, no one will leave something

00:38:16 --> 00:38:18

that adds value. We ask I mean the

00:38:18 --> 00:38:19

whole world is looking for where can we

00:38:19 --> 00:38:22

get value added from? And Islam is the

00:38:22 --> 00:38:24

greatest asset that adds value. Yeah. And that's

00:38:24 --> 00:38:27

why people are reverting because they see the

00:38:27 --> 00:38:27

Palestinians

00:38:28 --> 00:38:29

and how they respond to that blessing of

00:38:29 --> 00:38:32

theirs which is faith. That's value added. They're

00:38:32 --> 00:38:34

not turning away from it. Whatever they have,

00:38:34 --> 00:38:34

we want.

00:38:35 --> 00:38:36

Because we're gonna go through some struggle in

00:38:36 --> 00:38:39

our life as well. What's my insurance policy

00:38:39 --> 00:38:42

when God tests me? What's my insurance policy

00:38:42 --> 00:38:44

when I lose a loved one? What's my

00:38:44 --> 00:38:46

insurance policy when I lose if I lose

00:38:46 --> 00:38:48

my job? The insurance policy is faith. There's

00:38:48 --> 00:38:50

nothing else that can be our insurance policy.

00:38:51 --> 00:38:53

And the more we build it, the more

00:38:53 --> 00:38:54

we will be readily available to respond to

00:38:54 --> 00:38:57

those difficulties. There are there are there are

00:38:57 --> 00:38:59

there are there are gonna come sooner or

00:38:59 --> 00:39:01

later. That's the test of God. Right? And

00:39:01 --> 00:39:04

you're proud to say, as as Muslims, I

00:39:04 --> 00:39:05

mean, we want the best for all of

00:39:05 --> 00:39:06

mankind.

00:39:06 --> 00:39:08

And people are starting to see it when

00:39:08 --> 00:39:11

you see, like, the programming that's been happening

00:39:11 --> 00:39:13

with the $1,000,000,000 hate industry and the Islamophobia

00:39:13 --> 00:39:13

industry,

00:39:14 --> 00:39:16

and then you have another industry that's trying

00:39:16 --> 00:39:17

to project

00:39:17 --> 00:39:17

and

00:39:18 --> 00:39:19

and right in front of your eyes that

00:39:19 --> 00:39:20

a man

00:39:20 --> 00:39:22

can be a woman, a woman be a

00:39:22 --> 00:39:22

man.

00:39:23 --> 00:39:24

And now these are the same people that

00:39:24 --> 00:39:26

want you here on this other house to

00:39:26 --> 00:39:29

believe that Muslims are Terrorists. Violent terrorists. So

00:39:29 --> 00:39:30

they're, hold on, the mask like you said,

00:39:30 --> 00:39:31

the

00:39:32 --> 00:39:33

the person is like, hold on. No. No.

00:39:33 --> 00:39:35

I'm getting to see, like, you know, these

00:39:35 --> 00:39:37

people. Like, he's spending some time with Muslims

00:39:37 --> 00:39:39

and he's like, no. These are good people.

00:39:39 --> 00:39:41

And we want the good we want good

00:39:41 --> 00:39:42

for humanity. And it reminds me of the

00:39:42 --> 00:39:43

hadith,

00:39:43 --> 00:39:45

the statement from the prophet Mohammed, peace be

00:39:45 --> 00:39:46

upon him, he said, I have not been

00:39:46 --> 00:39:47

sent except

00:39:48 --> 00:39:48

to perfect

00:39:49 --> 00:39:51

good Good character. Good character. The best of

00:39:51 --> 00:39:52

you are those who have the best Best

00:39:52 --> 00:39:55

of character. Character. So someone has good character,

00:39:55 --> 00:39:58

how's he trying to now steal your home

00:39:59 --> 00:40:00

or take over

00:40:00 --> 00:40:02

and kill you and all this other nonsense?

00:40:02 --> 00:40:04

So people are seeing that. They're all seeing

00:40:04 --> 00:40:06

they're all seeing what it is, and they're

00:40:06 --> 00:40:08

seeing the opposite too. Yeah. That from the

00:40:08 --> 00:40:10

opposite side, just by changing a terminology, we

00:40:10 --> 00:40:13

haven't changed the reality of it. They call

00:40:13 --> 00:40:15

it bribery in some countries. In some countries

00:40:15 --> 00:40:18

they call it lobbying. Yes. Terminology doesn't change.

00:40:18 --> 00:40:20

Bribery, lobbying. Same thing. Same thing. They call

00:40:20 --> 00:40:22

it some places they call it terrorism. Some

00:40:22 --> 00:40:23

places they call it anti terrorism.

00:40:24 --> 00:40:26

Just because you change the packaging doesn't change

00:40:26 --> 00:40:28

the content. The content is the same. Yeah.

00:40:28 --> 00:40:29

Right? This is what Prophet Muhammad said, near

00:40:29 --> 00:40:30

the day of judgment,

00:40:31 --> 00:40:32

one of the things that will happen is

00:40:32 --> 00:40:34

people will change the names of things to

00:40:34 --> 00:40:36

change how it reflects upon people. They'll change

00:40:36 --> 00:40:38

the name of interest to something else. They'll

00:40:38 --> 00:40:40

change the name of alcohol to something else

00:40:40 --> 00:40:42

because we are more worried about the optics

00:40:42 --> 00:40:43

of things than we are about the substance

00:40:43 --> 00:40:45

of it. And that's how the world looks

00:40:45 --> 00:40:47

at it. And that's what that's what social

00:40:47 --> 00:40:48

media does. That's what this, you know, this

00:40:48 --> 00:40:49

$1,000,000,000

00:40:49 --> 00:40:51

hit industry also does. It's it's

00:40:52 --> 00:40:54

we we we people see the people now

00:40:54 --> 00:40:56

see the substance. They don't care about the

00:40:56 --> 00:40:58

packaging. That that's the beautiful shit. We're starting

00:40:58 --> 00:40:59

to see people waking up to this. 100%.

00:40:59 --> 00:41:01

Yes. And And may Allah make us a

00:41:01 --> 00:41:03

source of goodness towards everyone. Mhmm. And how

00:41:03 --> 00:41:04

you're referring to we want goodness for everyone.

00:41:04 --> 00:41:06

We want everyone to feel we want everyone

00:41:06 --> 00:41:08

to feel comfortable in their own space. We

00:41:08 --> 00:41:10

want everyone to be comfortable in our space

00:41:10 --> 00:41:12

as well. Everyone's welcome into your place. I'm

00:41:12 --> 00:41:14

sure you have so many non Muslims who

00:41:14 --> 00:41:16

come and train with you. So many people

00:41:16 --> 00:41:17

who can benefit from you.

00:41:17 --> 00:41:18

This

00:41:19 --> 00:41:21

is not something that we're doing because we're

00:41:21 --> 00:41:22

kind. This is something that we have to

00:41:22 --> 00:41:24

do as Muslims. Yes. This is not a

00:41:24 --> 00:41:25

this is not a check mark of goodness

00:41:25 --> 00:41:27

for us. This is a check mark of

00:41:27 --> 00:41:29

a necessary aspect of our life. If we're

00:41:29 --> 00:41:31

not good to Muslims and non Muslims, then

00:41:31 --> 00:41:33

we are we are struggling as believers.

00:41:43 --> 00:41:45

About many from Dagestan and these others

00:41:45 --> 00:41:47

who train in the discipline and how they're

00:41:47 --> 00:41:49

not in the night clubs and how they're

00:41:49 --> 00:41:52

really, you know, turn their life into the

00:41:52 --> 00:41:54

beauty of God. Right? This is really profound.

00:41:54 --> 00:41:56

This also be a wake up call for

00:41:56 --> 00:41:57

many of,

00:41:57 --> 00:41:59

us out there, Muslim, to see, like, to

00:41:59 --> 00:42:02

see what your behavior, how it can impact

00:42:02 --> 00:42:03

in a negative or positive

00:42:04 --> 00:42:06

your success. Right? So hold strong to the

00:42:06 --> 00:42:08

stream. Don't be embarrassed. Don't be ain't nothing

00:42:08 --> 00:42:10

to be embarrassed about, especially in America. Because

00:42:10 --> 00:42:13

everyone's everyone's walking proud with whatever they believe

00:42:13 --> 00:42:15

in even though it's an anomaly and it's

00:42:15 --> 00:42:17

scarcity. Are you gonna be more proud of

00:42:17 --> 00:42:18

that,

00:42:19 --> 00:42:21

doing the haram Whatever that's that. Evil or

00:42:21 --> 00:42:22

proud to be someone who is a servant

00:42:22 --> 00:42:24

of your Creator? We we you know, we

00:42:24 --> 00:42:26

we have to normalize the beauty of our

00:42:26 --> 00:42:28

revolution. Yes. And the only way to normalize

00:42:28 --> 00:42:30

it you know, how do things go viral?

00:42:30 --> 00:42:32

Because people normalize them. Yeah. If they can

00:42:32 --> 00:42:34

normalize and make things go viral that are

00:42:34 --> 00:42:35

so abnormal,

00:42:35 --> 00:42:37

why can't we make something go viral that

00:42:37 --> 00:42:38

is so normal?

00:42:38 --> 00:42:40

Which is a belief in God and good

00:42:40 --> 00:42:42

character and the aspects of our religion.

00:42:43 --> 00:42:45

That's what we believe in. Thank you. Thank

00:42:45 --> 00:42:46

you, Abdul Adi. It's beautiful being with you.

00:42:46 --> 00:42:48

00:42:48 --> 00:42:50

see you in Tampa. We we we make

00:42:54 --> 00:42:56

00:42:57 --> 00:42:58

00:42:59 --> 00:43:01

and spiritually and emotionally because of what you're

00:43:01 --> 00:43:03

much. We're at the Miftah campus.

00:43:24 --> 00:43:26

00:43:28 --> 00:43:30

We know there are many benefits to the

00:43:30 --> 00:43:32

use of black seed according to the authentic

00:43:32 --> 00:43:33

statements of the prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings
