beautiful. And what I was really impressed with,

brothers were there? Five brothers. Five brothers and
all of you working for the deen together.
That was beautiful. It's an honor. Parents, you
know, their duas and their hard work. Parents.
It's all the parents, man, you know. We
haven't done much, you know.
They made the effort and hopefully were some
of the fruits of their effort. We've got
a long way to go.
So you got a lot of parents who
are like, no, no, you gotta be a
doctor, engineer,
and they're just like closing these doors
for the youth. Your parents weren't thinking like
that, Yeah, I think my parents are both
physicians. Yeah. Be a doctor and a diet.
Exactly.
Make it happen. Make more effort. Everyone has
a side hustle nowadays. You know? Might as
well make one of make your real hustle
the dean and make your side hustle everything
else. Make your real hustle the dean. Right?
Working for the creator. We can't we can't
you know, we wanna appreciate in a relationship
that someone gives us their leftover time. Yeah.
You know, that they spend their time with
everyone else and whatever is left,
they give it to person a or person
b. Person a or person b would never
feel appreciated.
Similarly,
it's it's something something to think about and
reflect on. We can't give deen our leftover
time. It needs to be a part of
the essence of what we're doing. And so
the Prophet speaks about the idea of
that whoever wakes up in the morning and
their biggest concern of life is aspects of
this world. Their biggest concern, not a concern.
This person is challenged. The Prophet says that
Allah will challenge this person
in a sense that number 1
that
Allah place poverty in front of their face,
in their eyes, meaning anything they get won't
be enough for them because they always want
more.
He'll separate all their matters and affairs. So
anything that would have taken less time is
now taking much more time because everything's been
separated from him. And lastly,
He won't be given except for that which
is already written for him anyways. So the
idea is to wake up and have this
concern of akhirah first Where it doesn't mean
that we're equal in time. That's impossible.
People have to work 9 to 5. That's
their work. But what if our work also
becomes a form of worship? With that intentionality,
with the da'wah, that wherever I'm going I'm
carrying the identity of my religion. People get
people feel so proud.
They feel so proud if they're recognized to
be an Ivy League student. They feel so
proud to be recognized as a person working
for a company or a fortune 500 company.
There's nothing that should make us feel more
proud than being identified
as an 'Abdulillah.'
That is an affiliation that is the most
empowering, the most enabling. Not because of what
we are, but because of the affiliation itself.
So I think with that in mind, our
parents, their goal was
don't feel insecure, don't feel like you're missing
out, but at the same time know that
this is a primary cause. This This is
a primary objective of life is to go
ahead and actually make an effort
in learning your deen. And nowadays, mashaAllah, you
know better than me, Adi.
In Chicago and all across the country, there's
so many seminary institutions
where students are flocking to to learn. So
that's a good sign. It's a great sign.
Not just my parents, a lot of the
parents in that generation
dedicated themselves
to sending their kids out of town. Now
there's enough seminaries even in the states that,
you know, they don't have to go too
far Mhmm. Which is great, you know, alhamdulillah.
What's really impressive, are you the younger from
I'm the 4th. You're the 4th youngest? I'm
the 4th. 4th. So there's a younger one.
There's a younger one. My youngest,
his name was Abdul Rahim,
Sheikh Abdul Rahim, Mahdiamullah.
He actually Yes. I remember. Yes. He actually
passed in a tragic car accident. I'm a
grand jannah. Reunite you with your brother and
I'm in garab. So that's
so now yeah. So we're 5 and I'm
number number 4. So my eldest is Sheikh
Abdullah,
and the second is Mufti Abdul Rahman. The
third is Sheikh Abdul Aziz, who's also a
physician,
And I'm number 4.
So it's always tough being a younger brother,
you're bullied. It's alright. We live with it.
That's why I'm gonna come to you. I'm
gonna learn how to do all that stuff.
There you go. So I can figure out
how to how to respond correctly, you know,
with love but with presence. Yes. Yes.
But it really dispels this myth that we
see like, okay, I'll get religious when I
get older and stuff, but to see the
you, you guys are fairly young. Right?
And what's the age range between you and
your older brothers and to see this dedication
that you guys open up this institute and
you dedicated your life now for the deen?
I mean we would truly believe that
the greatest value added in our life is
to serve the deen. Yeah. You know what
I mean? The only way to the only
way to actually do it
the only way to actually do it in
a way that I believe is impactful
is to believe that it brings fulfillment to
you. And it will only bring fulfillment to
a person
if they feel that it's it's a source
of their benefit in dunya in akhirah. Like
this is it. This is not something which
we feel like it's good, it's a side
thing. This is it, you know. And the
prophet there's a dua of Abu Bakr where
he would say
O Allah Almighty God, deprive us
of the good that you have in store
for us because of the flaws that we
possess.
We are
not equal to the dirt on the shoes
of these companions.
And they were used to serve the deen.
And we're also being used to some degree,
minute amount,
to serve the deen. What an what an
honor it is. Right? So yeah, the idea
of when you grow old, a person will
change their life and make that turn. The
question becomes who said that we'll become old?
Yes. Who said we're gonna get there? Who
said that we're gonna make it to that
point? What guarantee do you have? What guarantee
do we have
now? And if we can take now as
which is our present,
as our greatest gift and use it to
protect our family. I mean our but our
main responsibility is protect our children.
Everything else is secondary. But one can't protect
their children
if they're only worried about their children. They
have to worry be worried about the
of everyone around them. The prophet wasn't only
worried about his children. He was worried about
everyone's
children. And therefore,
Allah protected his children and his family as
well. So we're about 5 years apart from
between me and the eldest, 5, 6 years.
You know, so that's that's it's enjoyable because
we're doing it together. It's enjoyable because, you
know, we're in the same space. It's enjoyable
because,
there's there's an extra sense of barakah that
comes from serving the deen of Allah.
Nothing Imagine a person how they feel when
they pray. Now if we do a few
more things for Allah's deen,
Allah reciprocates better than anyone else. And Allah's
reciprocation is not based upon our results.
Allah reciprocates based upon our effort. So even
if we lack in results,
but our effort is such that it's appreciated
by Allah.
It's all we need. Hajar didn't do anything
that forced the water to come from the
earth.
Allah just appreciated what she did. She ran.
I said I got you. I'll cover your
back. And that's the way we should feel
as well.
I wanna get your reaction here and we
can touch upon this because Islam is based
on proof and evidence, it's not just blind
faith faith, correct? 100%. So the more you
study Islam I'm sure you're seeing these signs
that are in there and this is just
one of them here because we talk a
lot about the heart in Islam, right? There's
the call of the heart and we think
now, okay, that the heart now, does it
have a brain of its own? How does
it connect with here? So this is really
fascinating. I wanna get your take on this.
When I was in school, I was taught
that the brain is the master organ in
the body.
But what the new science is showing us
is that the brain receives the instructions telling
it what to do from our heart, the
human heart. And this is a relatively new
way
for science
to think about us and our relationship to
our bodies.
But what we now know is that the
quality of emotions
that we create within our heart determine
the signal
that we send to the brain to release
the chemistry into our bodies. Every moment
of every day, there's a conversation
that is happening between our heart and our
brain. It's the inner environment, thoughts, feelings, emotions,
and beliefs we know can be either healing
or toxic.
I thought that was just so profound That's
beautiful, man. And deep now. You've been a
student of the Quran,
the verbatim words of the creator, God Almighty
Allah for a long time now.
And there's so much that is talked about
the heart.
And now this latest research, what what are
your thoughts when you hear him speak to
scientists? I mean
frankly we're not surprised
because there's there's nothing in the Quran that
is mentioned
that anyway is is, inaccurate.
So if there's a word that is used,
that
the heart is blind.
That means we that's we believe that. That
that that if the heart is blind, that
refers
to the heart physically. Allah
has removed the ability to understand something. Allah,
when he refers to
a recognition, understanding in the Quran, he refers
to the he refers to the heart. That
they have heart.
These are the verses we're talking about. These
are the verses of Allah.
They have hearts that they're unable to understand
through. They are not able to use their
heart to reflect.
Because reality is, you know, we understand that
even
even at the basic level, I mean we're
no scientist,
that the heart is actually where a person
feels infatuation, love, any form of jealousy, hatred,
arrogance.
And that's what sends the signals to the
brain from what they're speaking about. This is
profound. Because everyone used to think if you
can convince a person intellectually you got them.
But the reality is if you can win
their heart. Hence the prophet of Allah was
not sent
to win to win to to to conquer
lands, neither brains. He was sent to conquer
hearts. Because once you can conquer someone's heart,
you have everything of them. So but to
be consistent with how we understand the Qur'an
is there's nothing in it that surprises us
because there's no inaccuracies in it.
There's nothing in it which is inconsistent how
Allah starts off Suratul Kahf, you know, where
He speaks
There's nothing in it that is inaccurate,
inconsistent.
But it's interesting to know that the non
Muslim community is being able to recognize this.
That's why it teaches us that just because
we don't we haven't been exposed to something,
doesn't mean that it's not true.
It just takes time. You know, science is
catching up. The world is catching up to
the Quran. This is 1440
years ago where the heart became the core
for us in our spirituality and our religion.
So people like this who the science that
now catches
up doesn't doesn't approve the Quran but it
just gives a sense of contentment that this
is this is what it is and we
can use it for our purposes as we
need to use it. Right? And we can
feel comfortable about what everything else the Quran
has said to us as well.
Because that idea of
the blindness of the heart is something which
is the core of our religion.
That if the person has basr, they can
see with their eyes but they have no
basirah.
They can't see with their heart because there's
no nur in their heart.
It's the same aspect that if you turn
off the lights of a room
and ask a person to walk around the
room, the most mundane thing to do is
to walk
in your own room.
But because there's no physical light, the absence
of physical light
makes it difficult to do the simplest things.
And similarly,
the absence of the light of the heart
makes it difficult for the person to do
the simplest things.
Like to understand the Oneness of Allah.
To recognize
the weakness of ourselves and our creation,
to understand the dependency that we have upon
God. This becomes difficult because now we're attempting
to live life without the nur of the
heart. And just like how a person in
that dark room, if they stay there for
long enough,
their eyes adjust.
And now they might start to think that
they don't need what? Any light. Yes. Because
their eyes adjust.
Similarly a person, if they remain if their
heart remains absent from the nur of of
the Quran, the nur of our religion, the
light of our religion,
they start seeming to think that we don't
really need it. Everything's going good. I got
family, I got kids, I have a good
job. Why do I need to pray more?
Why do I need to give dawah to
anyone else? Why do I need to read
the Qur'an? I got it unlocked.
That's not having it unlocked. That's just the
heart adjusting.
And now the heart is just filled with
darkness. There's no light there and the heart
is lost. Adjusting again to that spiritual darkness.
The spiritual darkness.
And it gets used to it because at
the end of the day, we are adaptive
creatures.
Just because we got used to it doesn't
mean it's right. There's people that get used
to immodesty, doesn't mean that it's okay.
The human body gets used to many things.
We get desensitized.
And the heart gets desensitized as well. It
becomes what we call physical laziness. The heart
becomes the spiritual it becomes spiritually lethargic.
It doesn't feel the need to do much
anymore because it's content with whatever flow it
already has. That's where Allah says
that the hearts have been sealed.
The heart is alive but it's been sealed
in the sense that there's there's nothing that
can undo the effect of
what it's already experiencing. That's self inflicted. We
can't blame that on God. That's self inflicted.
Because Allah gives us many opportunities. Every single
moment in our life is an opportunity of
tawba, which brings light to the heart. Tawba
meaning repentance.
Repentance. A sense of regret is the absolute
source of light in the heart. For the
non muslims, they tune in to a very
interesting conversation. They hear tawba, they think, okay,
salvation, someone dying for my sins. What's the
salvation in Islam like? There's no such thing
as
as as confession in Islam. There's no concept
of someone else being a source of salvation.
For us, it's
the the the the ball is in our
court.
And that is the most enabling, empowering thing
that there is we don't have to go
to anyone
to ask them to seek forgiveness for us.
We
are God says that, when my servant asks
of me, tell them that I am near.
In the sense that when they call upon
me,
whenever they turn towards me, my response is
there for them.
Just call upon me. So we believe in
our religion
that salvation is me simply having regret for
something that I did. Remorse,
raising my hands and asking for forgiveness. The
prophet of God who was the greatest creation
of God used to seek repentance 70 times
a day. In one narration, 100 times a
day. And seeking repentance and forgiveness
is not simply due to a person's sins,
but it's also a form of gratitude.
That, oh God, whatever you've given me isn't
because of anything that I possess, it's because
of your love. When God starts off one
of the most beautiful chapters of the Quran,
he starts off with saying
arrahman. Beautiful chapter of the Quran, this chapter
of rahman where He speaks about all of
His blessings. He starts off by saying arrahman
which suddenly is an indication how the scholars
mentioned that all of one's blessings in life
are because of the mercy of arrahman. Ar
Rahman. That because he has love for us
and
he has mercy upon us, he's given us
family, children, life, the ecosystem that we live
within. Without his love for us, none of
that would
exist. So for us, it's simply to recognize
that my relationship with Allah or with God
is something that nobody else has any say
in. It's me and him. And the more
I invest in it, the more I receive
from it. Like any relationship. The more I
sit and speak to him, the more he
responds to me.
And for us, tawba is just
regret and remorse. And would
say but it's also very to to go
on a small tangent, I I also feel,
you know, this ability to seek tawba is
also a form of humility.
If a person can't seek forgiveness from God,
how is he ever gonna seek forgiveness from
the people of the world? The Almighty is
the one who is in control.
And if I can't shed a tear in
front of Him to soften my heart, why
would I ever ask forgiveness from my spouse?
How would I ever ask forgiveness from someone
who is lower than me in society,
socioeconomically or just based upon whatever Allah has
given me? Maybe children or whatever it may
be. We can't. That's what the prophet of
Allah says,
Whoever is unable to thank the people around
him or her,
they won't have the ability to thank Allah.
They can't thank God if you can't thank
the people around you. The prerequisite,
the pathway
towards being a person who has a soft
heart is to be able
to seek forgiveness from God. Then a person
loses that shyness that if I wronged you,
I'll say to you, brother Ali forgive me.
It's not a big deal. Forgive me because
I'm used to it. People are not used
to seeking forgiveness from one another because they
haven't been used to seeking forgiveness from God.
They're hoping someone else does it for them.
Nobody can do it for us. At the
end of the day, it's all based upon
the person. The prophet of Allah himself said
that if
if even my children,
if they did something wrong, that's on them.
Not that they did. But the idea is
everyone in the court of God has to
stand
with themselves.
We come independent.
And yes, on that day
if we were people of belief
in the non Muslims here as well,
we will be raised with those whom we
love. So if we're close to people who
are good, God will raise us with those
good people as well. What's your,
your analysis, when we talk about the heart
And we see right now unfolding in 4
k. We're seeing what's happening now in Gaza.
In Palestine,
which at one point you had a relative
peace when Muslims, Jews and Christians, when Muslims
were ruling
Jerusalem there, there was a relative peace, wasn't
there?
The people of the book, they had Their
spaces. Their space. They had their rights protected,
and there wasn't this
stealing of land and whatnot, but you're seeing
land theft,
you're seeing children just being, you know, made
orphans and under the rubble.
There's nothing been like this in our lifetime.
And I'm young, but this
this is a true genocide, you know, for
whatever for for for what we're seeing right
now. This is unbelievable. And the fact that
we're seeing it and we can't do much
about it is is it's sometimes it feels
paralyzing. But to finish your question, go ahead.
Yeah. So that that was it. I wanted
to get your thoughts
with, what's happening and your
you've been talking about a lot to your
community and what, what is your take now?
You have other things that go alongside with
this, the antichrist, the Dajjal,
some people trying to engineer prophecies,
the red cows. I don't know if you've
looked into this.
So people are talking about these things. What's
your take? I think the first aspect of
the question is
about the heart.
If someone is sitting watching these videos,
you have 2 options. Option number 1 is
to identify that your heart is already dead
because it doesn't get affected by
it. And you justify
it. It's not really this. It's not truly
this.
Even Iblis,
who is the devil himself,
found ways to justify
his disobedience.
Justification
in no way is a claim to innocence.
It's simply a claim
to giving yourself a foothold. A justification
is is never a law It's never a
claim to innocence. To innocence. It's never a
claim to innocence. Yeah. It's a claim to
being
being wrong. It's a claim to being guilty
in that sense.
Like we never justify our sins to God.
There's nowhere in our tradition that we're taught
that when we commit a sin, that before
we start our forgiveness we justify.
That this is why it happened. That doesn't
matter. The fact that I created, the fact
that I committed so and so
crime, God doesn't need us to justify. He
already knows the depths of the heart. Speaking
to him about the justification
is simmering down our guilt. No. I made
a mistake. I seek forgiveness for it. So
this just to be able to justify
is not something that in any way shape
or form shows innocence.
Ibelief's justified.
The devil. The devil. He said, No. God

Well how how do you
prosper in front of this person that you
made from dirt?

the rational sense it made sense. You made
me from fire and fire always goes up

do it. So a person
that sees these videos, option 1 is to
just identify their heart as dead because it's
not being affected by it. You can justify
it however you wish and the world can
justify it however they wish. The reality is
that this person's heart is dead. Is that's
why they have to because this is a
human thing. I mean, if you have any
sense of humanity,
if your heart is any whatsoever point of
being alive, you're gonna react. You're gonna say,
hey, this is not right. This point of
being alive, you're gonna react. You're gonna say,
hey. This is not right. The same way
we would also react if these were non
if these were if this was happening on
the flip side.
But to go ahead and justify it, to
spin it, to what now, this I mean,
the greatest sign that the heart is dead
is simply if this happens anywhere else, the
heart heart beats differently. Yeah. That means that
means it's dead toward a certain area. It's
dead toward certain people. Because if it happens
somewhere else,
there's a different sense of That's why you
have to make the people now
that they're you have to label them as
animals. You have to make them less human.
You see, you know, the the That's the
only way to justify. Justify. Yeah. That's the
only way to justify
our
our understanding
that these people's hearts are dead. That's the
only way to justify or else how would
they survive with life? How would they sleep
at night? How would you treat your children?
So the other the other the reality is
Allah has created us, God has created us
through 2 elements. 1 is a physical element,
1 is a spiritual element which is the
soul
and the heart. And there are certain things
that Allah in the Quran speaks about fitra
to Allah. This is the fitra of Allah.
That that he has
He has structured and and created us with
innate features. So for example,
the physical body.
If we enter into a room that we
smell something which is which which has a
foul smell.
It's there's a stench,
skunk, or whatever it may be. Physically, it
doesn't matter where you came from in this
world.
God has created us that that smell would
bother us.
Even if it comes from our loved ones.
We'll say, Hey man, can you step away
for a moment?
Let me give you some space. Because physically
we've been encoded
the same way
within the spectrum. Of course someone's more sensitive,
someone is less sensitive, but everyone is encoded
within that spectrum. If I smell that, it'll
bother me. That's a fitra. That's an innate
feature of our physical existence that we cannot
stay in a room
where there is that stench that is there.
Similarly,
physical. The physical fitra is if I enter
into a space
that is scary, physically we get fear, we
have anxiety.
Similarly
the heart has a innate feature.
This is why Allah gave the heart the
it's a it's a core focus of our
spirituality
that the heart also has a key feature
which is that it only loves the qualities
that Allah has.
And it dislikes any quality that Allah dislikes,
that God dislikes. For example,
if anyone sees even a father or mother
hitting their children,
there is this what we call karahiya,
reprehensibility
towards like,
why is he doing that? Why is she
doing that for her? You don't even know
the people.
But the fitra
is powerful.
It's almost impossible to undo it unless the
environment around us is so overwhelming. One of
the things that fitra
absolutely loves
is justice.
That's why we're seeing what we're seeing. Muslims
and non Muslims alike are standing up because
you can't push away the fitra.
The smell is bad, it's bad.
Humans are attached to the fitra of justice.
Since the beginning of time,
Ibrahim alaihi salam stood up against his father
because of justice.
Musa alaihi salam stood up against firaoun,
Moses,
our prophets, and the prophets of some of
the non Muslims as well. The irony is
this is the prophet of Bani Israel.
He stood up against justice, all of that
which he stood up for was the oppression
of the children of Israelites.
Justice.
Isa,
the Messiah for the Christians.
Why was he put on this
why was he, in their religion, crucified? Or
why did he die for their sins? And
we believe that he was raised because of
justice. He was standing against injustice for justice.
That is an innate feature of our Those
are our examples. Our examples. It doesn't matter
which prophet you look at, their presence
was to repel injustice
because the heart cannot live
Just like our physical body can't be in
a room where there's a stench,
the heart can't stay in a place where
there's an overwhelming injustice.
This is the innate feature of a human
being. So option 2 is we let our
fitra take over. And the fitra is something
which is natural. We don't have to justify.
Do Do we have to justify why we
don't like a bad smell?
We don't have to justify
why
we are unable to stand
what we're seeing because that is the innate
feature of the heart. So that's reality and
may Allah allow us to be amongst those
that whichever way we can
make an impact. Whether that's through our donations,
whether that's through our encampments, whether that's through
our protest,
whether that's through our tajjud and our dua.
Because everything has an impact and we can't
undermine one person's impact because of someone else.
Everyone has their responsibility and we should be
doing all of it as much as we
can. I wanna show you, I saw some
very interesting couple of interesting clips
and we're
seeing something profound also happening on the flip
side
that we're seeing a lot of Americans, a
lot of people in general all over the
world, because of this, they're looking into Islam.

you know, the fiqh of, how he's a

just from
observing that he's probably looked into Islam and
his fitrah, his innate nature is like, you
know, maybe he's reading the Quran and he
just, whatever he knows, he's like watching, trying
to
mimic and he's starting to pray reading the
Quran, verses from the Quran.
That's deep, That's deep, man. Well, Allah's
system is of the divine and the most
wise. Yeah. And we've seen in Ramadan how
many conversions and people that have
reverted just by seeing what's happening in the
Gaza.
Are you are you in in Detroit? Are
you getting more,
people inquiring visiting your mosque? 100%. Our seminary,
our institution,
our, the different programs that we have, We
have more,
non Muslims coming now than ever. And more
reverting now than ever as well. In most
and every session in Ramadan
that we had during the weekdays and weeknights,
the qiyams, the programs,
the khatams.
We have people coming in and and just
accepting the fold of Islam, which is which
is what Allah says.
When Allah refers to his conquest,
which people refer to as Fatimaqa,
he he highlights the conquest was
The people came into the fold of Islam
in large groups which is what we're seeing
today right now. So this is a victory
for them, you know, the people that are
coming into Islam. Which is which is I'm
not sure if in my short time in
this world, it's unprecedented that we've seen this
many people
to become Muslim through one through one specific
con, one specific challenge. Not that through other
things, just through what's happening in Gaza. Uh-huh.
Just just by seeing that. Because the heart
is look, at the end of the fitrah
is a fitrah. You know? And you can
use the argument of nature versus nurture. Yeah.
But nature of a person is what's there.
It doesn't take much investigation.
There's people I've interviewed so many that You
have so many of these people that, mashaAllah,
turn towards Islam. Yeah. And it's
amazing because Islam makes sense. It goes with
the nature. Worship 1 creator and nothing is
where they worship the one God, the same
God of Jesus, Moses, Abraham,
you know, be morally upright, Straightforward is simple.
It's not asking you to believe in 3
and 1, 13,
you know, a human being is God or
any of these strange It's not complicated. Superstitions.
It's not complicated. Straightforward.
Even with all the, duplicity, the dishonest
media reporting, I call it the,
hate $1,000,000,000 hate industry. When you when you
add up, Fox News and many of these,
pundits out there.
There's another clip and then we'll we'll touch
upon this and we'll conclude.
People are also starting to see
past because there was a lot of junk,
garbage put out there, Muslim are terrorists, Muslim
are this, that, and the other, you know,
the boogeyman coming to get you. But here's
here's a very interesting clip that people are
starting to see beyond that programming. Ain't nobody
afraid of Muslim people anymore. The war on
terror propaganda is not working. I've met a
lot of Muslim people at this point in
my life, and almost all of them were
extremely kind, and a lot of them were
super disciplined and focused, which is something that
I respect a lot as a wrestler. Some
of my favorite mixed martial arts fighters like
Khabib Nurmagomedov
are devout Muslims. Nowadays, we have white boys
in the rural Midwest rooting for Muslims every
UFC fight night. You're not gonna be able
to convince us that these people are evil
and that our tax dollars need to be
spent on bombing them. And you know who
hasn't always been kind and friendly to me?
Israelis,
Zionists.
I talked to some members of the IDF
on Zoom. It took them about 5 minutes
to start saying all Muslim people are terrorists.
And to be clear, I'm not talking about
Jewish people. I'm talking about supporters of the
state of Israel who, with their violent, unhinged,
and rude behavior, are turning more and more
people away from their cause, away from Zionism.
Meanwhile, Muslim people with kindness and friendship are
bringing more people towards the cause of Palestine.
There were a bunch of students at the
student protest recently who converted to Islam. And
the mainstream media was like, look at this.
See, America's being taken over by Muslims. Now
I'm like, I don't blame those kids for
converting to Islam at all. The Muslim students
were probably super nice and super awesome and
super welcoming, and they're like, hey. I'm gonna
side with these guys against the mostly secular
genocidal monsters that we're protesting against. Your thoughts.
That's crazy.
That's beautiful. This is the heartbeat now in,
what You know what? It's it's you know
how how the masha' speak speak about. The
masks are coming off. The masks are coming
off. The masks are coming off. People are
noticing what what what what is true from
what is falsehood.
Allah says when the truth appears,
in falsehood would have no space left in
the room.
The challenge is how can I be a
manifestation of the truth?
How can I be a source of that?
Well for people as well. How can I
display the truth
in my workplace? How can I display the
truth in my university? How the young youngsters
and young students are doing, man. That that
that what the youngsters converting to Islam
because of these protests and encampments
is a sign that they're doing it civilly
and doing it peacefully. Why don't they even
wanna revert or turn towards Islam if they
were being pushed away? Now he said it
better than anyone that were probably just super
nice. They broke their * very well. They're
probably just really nice people. You know. Famar
arahmatumillahi, he didn't tell at home. Allah sallam
that
one of the reasons why people came close
to you is because you were just really
nice.
You were very kind.
You were soft towards them.
A believer is a soft person. People always
want to stay attached to them and always
want to stay close to them. And the
Palestinians have just reminded us that
the
the Palestinians Palestinians have reminded us that the
stories of sahabus were not fairy tales. These
they were real.
Despite
the pain that was brought to them, they
remained upright towards God and they also remained
upright towards the rights of people.
They didn't take vengeance and revenge in a
way that was
not approved by God. You know, everything was
everything that they're doing is within the within
the spectrum of what our religion has encouraged
them to do. Remain patient. Remain grateful. Remain
content, still pray. People that have gone there
are saying, alhamdulillah, more than us,
which shows that their level of iman is
at a different level. You know, there's no
comparison.
But to your point,
these people who have seen the propaganda to
be what it is
is also a victory for us. There's so
many victories hidden in this
because of what we're seeing around. The biggest
victory is what we understand from the Quran.
Whatever is beneficial to people,
whatever brings goodness to them,
Allah in the Quran, and God in the
Quran, he states that it will always remain
because it brings benefit to people.
So rather than getting caught up on what
they're saying, we see the Muslims being caught
up on what we can do for people.
We see the Muslims caught up on what
they can do. We're not being this is
the first time
in perhaps a long time that we're not
just responding, we're actually
on the front lines. We're setting the narrative.
We're setting the narrative for everyone else. We're
not responding to anyone else's narrative. We're beyond
that. We're not trying to respond to why
we are and why we're not something. This
is who we are. You have a question,
come see us.
But we're not responding to your narrative because
that already puts us on the defense line.
That already makes a scene that we're justifying
and there's no need for that. I think
what
what this wrestler says is like the we
all know you can't convince us anymore. Yeah.
But at the end of the day, maybe
someone's not watching that those videos. So our
responsibility is to play that role in our
workspaces.
That's what dawah is. Our responsibility is to
play that role for our neighbors. That's what
the prophet of Allah spoke so highly of
a good neighbor. Our responsibility is to play
that role in the student council if we're
there as a youngster. Our responsibility is to
play that role on campus
because if people can't recognize us for who
we are as believers, then they won't they
won't recognize the beauty of Islam.
Right? They have to know that whatever good
that we're doing
is highly in part of is greatly in
part of us being Muslims.
So if they're appreciating us,
they should by they should be appreciating our
religion, not just us, because we're nobodies.
Right? The virtue is not us.
Islam is growing despite of us. It's not
growing because of us. People are loving our
religion despite of us, not because of us.
So if we can always refer back that
this is something that God taught us, it's
something that the prophet taught us, it would
bring honor to them. It would show them
that this is something that that we actually
revere, not that something that we're always burdened
by.
These are our teachings now. This is not
just because you're a good person. This is
Islam teaching you. This is Islam. I held
the door open for you not because of
me. I held it open for sponsors. Islam.
Right? Don't refer the goodness back to yourself
because we know we're not that good. Yes.
Refer to the goodness back to where we
actually got it from. Yes. Every time someone
asks us how did you succeed in life
and how did you receive this and that,
we all say, yeah, it was good education,
good parents. But how about my teachings?
How about the fact that I was raised
with the Qur'an?
If a person, anonymous, never hears
the value added that comes from our religion,
why would they come and turn towards it?
In this world, no one will leave something
that adds value. We ask I mean the
whole world is looking for where can we
get value added from? And Islam is the
greatest asset that adds value. Yeah. And that's
why people are reverting because they see the
Palestinians
and how they respond to that blessing of
theirs which is faith. That's value added. They're
not turning away from it. Whatever they have,
we want.
Because we're gonna go through some struggle in
our life as well. What's my insurance policy
when God tests me? What's my insurance policy
when I lose a loved one? What's my
insurance policy when I lose if I lose
my job? The insurance policy is faith. There's
nothing else that can be our insurance policy.
And the more we build it, the more
we will be readily available to respond to
those difficulties. There are there are there are
there are there are gonna come sooner or
later. That's the test of God. Right? And
you're proud to say, as as Muslims, I
mean, we want the best for all of
mankind.
And people are starting to see it when
you see, like, the programming that's been happening
with the $1,000,000,000 hate industry and the Islamophobia
industry,
and then you have another industry that's trying
to project
and
and right in front of your eyes that
a man
can be a woman, a woman be a
man.
And now these are the same people that
want you here on this other house to
believe that Muslims are Terrorists. Violent terrorists. So
they're, hold on, the mask like you said,
the
the person is like, hold on. No. No.
I'm getting to see, like, you know, these
people. Like, he's spending some time with Muslims
and he's like, no. These are good people.
And we want the good we want good
for humanity. And it reminds me of the
hadith,
the statement from the prophet Mohammed, peace be
upon him, he said, I have not been
sent except
to perfect
good Good character. Good character. The best of
you are those who have the best Best
of character. Character. So someone has good character,
how's he trying to now steal your home
or take over
and kill you and all this other nonsense?
So people are seeing that. They're all seeing
they're all seeing what it is, and they're
seeing the opposite too. Yeah. That from the
opposite side, just by changing a terminology, we
haven't changed the reality of it. They call
it bribery in some countries. In some countries
they call it lobbying. Yes. Terminology doesn't change.
Bribery, lobbying. Same thing. Same thing. They call
it some places they call it terrorism. Some
places they call it anti terrorism.
Just because you change the packaging doesn't change
the content. The content is the same. Yeah.
Right? This is what Prophet Muhammad said, near
the day of judgment,
one of the things that will happen is
people will change the names of things to
change how it reflects upon people. They'll change
the name of interest to something else. They'll
change the name of alcohol to something else
because we are more worried about the optics
of things than we are about the substance
of it. And that's how the world looks
at it. And that's what that's what social
media does. That's what this, you know, this
$1,000,000,000
hit industry also does. It's it's
we we we people see the people now
see the substance. They don't care about the
packaging. That that's the beautiful shit. We're starting
to see people waking up to this. 100%.
Yes. And And may Allah make us a
source of goodness towards everyone. Mhmm. And how
you're referring to we want goodness for everyone.
We want everyone to feel we want everyone
to feel comfortable in their own space. We
want everyone to be comfortable in our space
as well. Everyone's welcome into your place. I'm
sure you have so many non Muslims who
come and train with you. So many people
who can benefit from you.
This
is not something that we're doing because we're
kind. This is something that we have to
do as Muslims. Yes. This is not a
this is not a check mark of goodness
for us. This is a check mark of
a necessary aspect of our life. If we're
not good to Muslims and non Muslims, then
we are we are struggling as believers.
About many from Dagestan and these others
who train in the discipline and how they're
not in the night clubs and how they're
really, you know, turn their life into the
beauty of God. Right? This is really profound.
This also be a wake up call for
many of,
us out there, Muslim, to see, like, to
see what your behavior, how it can impact
in a negative or positive
your success. Right? So hold strong to the
stream. Don't be embarrassed. Don't be ain't nothing
to be embarrassed about, especially in America. Because
everyone's everyone's walking proud with whatever they believe
in even though it's an anomaly and it's
scarcity. Are you gonna be more proud of
that,
doing the haram Whatever that's that. Evil or
proud to be someone who is a servant
of your Creator? We we you know, we
we have to normalize the beauty of our
revolution. Yes. And the only way to normalize
it you know, how do things go viral?
Because people normalize them. Yeah. If they can
normalize and make things go viral that are
so abnormal,
why can't we make something go viral that
is so normal?
Which is a belief in God and good
character and the aspects of our religion.
