Tariq Ramadan – Ramadan Chronicles #31 Festival

This is the festival. This is the feast.

To every one of you, to you, to

your families,

to your beloved people, relatives around you, your

community.

And this is a time where we come

together, and we have to experience the very

essence of, being together

in the name of the one trying to

be better human beings. We have been talking

about resistances

all over,

the months, and it's very important for all

of us to understand that, yes, it's the

end of Ramadan, and it's the starting

of, normal life. And within this normal life,

we should keep the teachings

and experience them in our daily life. We

have to be dignified human beings.

We have to be dignified believers and Muslims.

It means to resist everything which is bad,

everything which is corruption

in our world, and to promote

ethics, to promote what is good, to be

on earth, men al Muslihin,

men of the people who are promoting,

the positive reform in our world and resisting

elmufsiddin,

the people who are corrupting.

So we need to be agents of peace,

agents of good in our daily life, and

to be resistant

to anything,

all the dimension, all what we have been

talking about during the months. So the teachings

of the months should remain with us for

the 11 months to come. This is a

school. This is a way. This is our

path. Because what Allah what god is expecting

us to be is dignified human beings,

serving humanity for the good and resisting

the inhuman, the indignified,

wherever we are.

Wherever we are in our

self,

in our home, in our neighborhood,

society.

This is what we have to try to

be now, that with this festival, we are

entering again into the normal life, into to

the our way of dealing with humanity that

sometimes is full of forgetfulness

and not enough

relying on this memory, on this remembrance,

on this essential principles.

Be an agent of peace wherever you are,

resist corruption wherever you are, and remain a

dignified human being, a dignified believer. This is

the way. This is our way.

Happy

festival.

And may Allah love you and love the

people you love. And remember,

wherever you are to say it everyday,

many times a day.

Say and tell and repeat the people you

love that you love them because this is

also the way we are resisting.

They're resisting

any hatred and promoting

love and justice among human beings.
