Taimiyyah Zubair – Women’s Contribution to Prophetic Legacy

			Women around the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam played a great role in the preservation of the
prophets legacy. They learned from him, they asked him questions, and they also narrated directly
from him. Amongst these women are the wives of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, such as our
shuttle de la hora, and M Salama, who narrated many, many Hadees. But then we also see some other
female companions who indirectly supported in the preservation of the prophets legacy. For example,
we see em sulayem or de la Mancha, who sent her son unece de la hora, and who to be with the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam constantly, at the time under sort of the Longhorn, who was only 10
		

			years old. And he spent 10 years with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam serving Him, directly
learning from him, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam made the offer him that it will give
him a long life, and also bless him in his wealth and his children, and others throughout the long
run, who lived a very long life, in which he taught so many people. And the credit over here goes to
the mother who sent her son to be with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in the generation
after the companions. Again, we see many women who contributed a great deal in the preservation of
the prophets legacy. For example, we learn about Fatima bint almanza, who was actually the
		

			granddaughter of a smattering of ibaka and Fatima learned many a hadith from her grandmother, and
she narrated them and of the people who learned her deeds from Fatima or also her husband, his Sham,
and his Sham actually narrated Hadees to Imam Malik, the great scholar besides Fatima bin Telemundo.
