Taimiyyah Zubair – Women Around Muhammad (SAW)

			In my upcoming live class women around the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we're going to take
a look at Islam, and the Syrah from the perspective of women. We'll also explore different accounts
and narrations about women reported by women themselves. We will also develop in sha Allah and
appreciation for women's contribution to our great tradition, and learn about the priorities of
these women. Finally, inshallah we want to draw inspiration from the example of these women, the
women of the best generation, that how is it that they navigated through pressing issues that all
women face, you know, issues such as women's education, or marital conflict, motherhood, parenting,
		

			even sexual violence, or entrepreneurship. Remember that these women were women chosen by Allah
subhanaw taala, to be around the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and these women were among the
people about whom Allah subhanaw taala said that love the love more on home will do that Allah is
pleased with them, and they are pleased with Allah. So it is essential that we look at the lives of
these women, and we learn from their example, so that we can remain grounded in our faith and true
to our tradition, as we strive towards success in our personal and collective endeavors. The Prophet

sallallahu alayhi wa sallam advocated for women at times when society put them down? How did the
Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam uplift these women when they felt weighed down by tragedy? And how
did the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam support them in their journey towards Allah azza wa jal?
Did he really interact with them, teach them and guide them? And most importantly, how did women
really feel around the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam satipatthana de la de la hora and who
