the capacity to go out into an open battlefield and face the army over there, he felt that it was
better for them to stay in Medina and to just defend themselves from there. And he said to the
Muslims, that he had a dream in which he was shown that the edge of his sword had broken in he saw
		

			this in his dream that the edge of a sword had broken and he said can only feed that are in Hasina
any that I see that I am in a secure that there is armor. In another version, he said that I see
that I am in a secure fortress, and he said that I saw cows being slaughtered what an eight to

dream and what he interpreted that dream to be. So he doesn't want to stay in Medina out of
cowardice, no, but because of his dream, but you're forcing him to go outside Medina. So now what
happened? The younger companions basically felt really bad and they regretted. And so when the
Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam came out of his house wearing his armor, they apologize to him, and
they said, Oh, Prophet, sallAllahu alayhi wa salam, if you want, we will stay in Medina and we will
		

			fight the enemy from inside Medina. But the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Not now and he

change his mind then why? Because in matters that are serious, that affect everyone, you cannot say
		

			one thing one day and then change your plan the other day and then change it again and then change
it again. If you keep changing your plan, then it becomes very difficult to get anywhere. So you
have to be decisive. You cannot be agreeable. So once this decision was reached, that we're going to
face the army outside we're gonna go outside Medina, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam stuck
to that plan. Now, at Ohio, remember that the Quraysh were 3000 in number in the army that was
approaching from Makkah was off 3000 men strong. And the Muslims who left Medina in order to face
them were 1000 in number. So the Muslims departed from Medina and the Quraysh had actually already
		

			reached or heard. All right. And the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam reached on Friday, late morning
or after tomorrow, and the next day, on Saturday morning, the battle took place. So the words were

so comfortably with everyone, you were enjoying playing with your children eating maybe with your
family, or you know, just sitting with them, but you leave them in order to do something for the
sake of Allah subhanaw taala. And this is a sacrifice that Allah subhanaw taala notices, and he
appreciates because he knows that this is not easy. And remember the reward is in proportion to the
		

			effort or the sacrifice that a person makes right now we're not expected to leave our families all
the time. No, here this was an unusual situation where the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had
to come out of the house of Isla de la hora leave his family in Medina, and then go outside in order
to face the army. And you can you know, maybe think about how I shall dwell on where and how was
feeling at the time. And how the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam felt at that time when someone
goes to battle wearing armor, you don't know if they will return. You are expecting injury, right?
There is fear. There is sadness. And there's also rage, anger at the enemy. So Allah subhanaw taala
		

			knows what you're feeling what you're going through for someone else. It's just you're leaving your
house in order to go do something. But for you the sadness that you feel in your heart, Allah
subhanaw taala knows that the pain of separation, Allah subhanaw taala knows that Allah knows what

small open side in the center. So the prophets of Allah who are using them sealed that opening by
appointing 50 Archers. Why so that if anybody would try to come from there, the archers would shoot
		

			arrows at them, and keep them away this way the army would be secure now, from that side as well.
Now the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam instructed these archers, he said, stick to your place
and do not leave it even if you see birds snatching us, until I send for you. And if you see that we
have defeated the enemy, and we have made them flee even then you should not leave your place until
I send for you Subhan Allah, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam gave them very clear

interpretation. And he told them about his opinion. Right. And Allah subhanaw taala is Samir of
those who said that? No, we should go out and fight in the open. You can imagine whenever a group of
people are trying to reach a decision together, there's a lot of back and forth, right? Some people
		

			are very polite, some people are very passionate. Some people just give, you know a small opinion,
they give a very small contribution. Some people contribute more to the discussion, right? Some
people are very emotional, or rather, they're very impulsive. They don't pay attention to how
they're talking how they are expressing themselves. Some people get very angry, some people get very
annoyed. So Allah is Samir. He hears all voices, all opinions, all expressions. And Allah is Samir
also of those who said that this does not seem like a battle, and they abandon the Muslims. And this
was the hypocrites. We learned that when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was on the way to
		

			hurt our beloved obey even saloon, he said that I am going to go back, I'm going back to Medina, I
am not going for this because this is not a battle. And he, he basically disagreed with the plan to
fight the enemy at a hug. And he said that, you know, I wanted to remain in Medina and defend the
city from within. And you guys didn't accept my opinion, my suggestion, so I don't agree with your
plan, and I will have no part in it. I am not going to go with you. So our beloved obey when he said
this, many of his people actually followed him, because they were hypocrites like him. And there
were others who became weak hearted. And so they left along with our beloved obey. So in total, 300
		

			men returned to Medina, with our beloved obey. Now this was a third of the Army, can you imagine?
Now 700 Muslims were left with the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam to fight the enemy of 3000,
even then, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam did not give up and he did not say that there is
no point in doing anything. This is going to be a major defeat, this is going to be a major loss.
No, they decided that they were going to go for battle, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam put
on his armor, and he was not a quitter. So he took those 700 Muslims with him and he made a plan and
he began posting the believers at their positions were Allah Who Samir on Eileen, Allah is Knowing
		

			of what you were doing. And Allah is Knowing of what is in the heart of each person. Why did the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam say that they should stay in Medina because he felt that that
was a better plan to ward off such a huge army. Why did our beloved obey say that they should stay
in Medina because our beloved obey was a coward. He was a hypocrite. He didn't want to fight. He
just wanted to hide in his home. He didn't want to make any psycho
		

			vices he didn't want to take any risks? So Allah knew of the hypocrisy in the heart of our beloved
obey. And why is it that the younger companions were eager to go out and fight in the open because
they wanted the high ranks that the people have budgeted God. So Allah subhanaw taala knew of the
sincerity in their heart. And if you think about it on the surface, those who wish to go outside of
Medina to fight made a poor choice, because you know that the battle of Ohio turned into a major
loss. Right? So 70 Muslims were killed on the day of or hurt, many more Muslims were severely
wounded and injured, almost everyone was severely injured. And Allah subhanaw taala knew the
		

			sincerity and the heart of those who wanted to go out in the open and fight, right and he rewarded
them accordingly. On the other hand, those who returned to Medina, the hypocrites apparently made a
very smart choice, because they saved themselves from trouble from difficulty of the battle. But
Allah subhanaw taala knew of the insincerity and the hypocrisy that was in their heart, we just see
the surface, right, who was lucky that day, who was safe that they didn't get hurt, and who suffered
that day, who got injured, who got killed, we just see the surface but Allah subhanaw taala knows
the condition of the heart, and He gives the recompense based on that. So those who suffered that
		

			day, the believers, Allah subhanaw taala gave them reward in proportion to their injury and their
struggle in the way of Allah. Why because they were sincere, and those who save themselves that day,
by abandoning the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam then look at what happened to them, their
hypocrisy also came out. Right, and the punishment of hypocrisy is that the hypocrites will be the
