Allah says, unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive it not.

Allah says that Allah mocks them, and prolongs them in their transgression while they wander blindly. Meaning Allah has given them the freedom to do what they want right now. And I think what they're doing is good. They live in a fool's paradise, they're completely oblivious to their errors. And on the Day of Judgment, they will be shocked at how their light will be extinguished, and they will be left in darkness alone and bewildered. Allah says those are the ones who have purchased error in exchange for guidance. So
their transaction has brought no profit, nor were they guided. Their example, is like that of the one who kindled a fire, meaning at first he believed there was light, but when it illuminated what was around him, Allah took away their light and left them in darkness so they could not see.
