as we continue to bring the design
		

			into the daily by understanding
how the characteristics of the 99

be incorporated into our daily
		

			lives. But today, the name that
we're going to discuss is unwise,
		

			which means the one who gives
honor. We frequently use that term
		

			to honor our spouse, when we're
particularly in the early days of
		

			marriage. But what does it mean to
really honor someone? What does it
		

			mean to honor a spouse? When we
honor our spouse, it means that we
		

			fall into three different areas of
working towards improving our
		

			marriage and our relationship. The
first area is to serve. When we
		

			serve one another, we begin to
step away from the selfish image
		

			of what's in it for me, and how
can I find my happiness and
		

			instead, we work towards serving
one another for the sake of Allah
		

			subhanaw taala. The next step is
to empathize. And to give that
		

			sense of understanding and
connection to the spouse so that
		

			there is a feeling of mutual
connection. And the third step is
		

			to act through service, empathy
and action, we're able to connect
		

			and in that way, we honor one
another. To act means to stand in
		

			support of one another, to be able
to understand that despite the
		

			fact that your spouse may act very
independently, hand in hand
		

			together, that is the way to
connect us as a couple. So when we
		

			talk about honoring the spouse,
it's not enough to use words it's
		

			important to implement the actions
as well. I pray that Allah subhana
		

			data and allows us to bring Assa
or honor into our relationships
		

			consistently so that we can
strengthen our marriages and
		

			strengthen our families. I look
