Suhaib Webb – Ramdan Rabaniyya Tafsir of Sura Hujurat Part One The Virtues of the Qur’an

To brothers and sisters,

Ramadan Mubarak May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala accept

Insha'Allah this blessed Ramadan

and Insha'Allah make it a means of our

growth and improvement insha Allah You Rabbil Arameen.

We know that the month of Ramadan is

the month of the Quran.

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says in Surat Al

Baqarah after

That this is the month of Ramadan, the

month in which the Quran was sent as

a guidance and it means to clarify

things for people Masha'Allah.

We know that Allah who subhanahu wa ta'ala

in numerous places in the Quran

clearly states the relationship

That the Quran is

a healing agent in the life of the

believers

as well as a mercy.

Another place is Allah

refers to the Quran as a Noor

that indeed there has come to you a

light from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and Allah

Subhanahu

Wa Ta'ala

He likens the relationship that we have with

the Quran

to that of the oxygen to the to

the life of a person.

When he says

Indeed We sent to you, O Muhammad

a spirit,

the life,

and that, of course, is the Quran.

What would happen to somebody

who loses the ability to breathe or somebody

who loses

the spirit of life inside them,

subhanAllah, then their purpose kind of like, you

know, is, is disqualified, is finished. And Allahu

as mentioned by Imam Ibn Qayim,

he compares the Quran

to stars which the Arabs used to use

to guide themselves to the darkness of night.

He says,

Allah

swears by the stars that indeed it is

the Quran.

Said the,

you know, the relationship between this oath

of swearing by the stars and the Quran

is that the Arabs use stars to guide

themselves through the darkness of night

and that the believer, masha'Allah, uses the Quran

to guide his or herself through the darknesses

and difficulties of a dunya.

And also Allah who

as mentioned in Surat Al Mulk, he says,

that the heavenly bodies are used to

repel the Shayateen

and just as those heavenly bodies repel the

Shayateen,

Masha'Allah,

the Ayat of Quran

repel the Shaitan from our hearts hearts.

That's why the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, he

said in numerous narrations,

he illustrated for us and expounded for us

in numerous narrations

the importance of the Quran.

The best of you are those who learn

and teach the Quran.

And he says

that Allah has chosen friends

Who are your chosen friends

The people of the Quran or the people

of Allah

And my teacher, Subhanash Shaikhamdiyaifsindra,

he used to always read this poem,

You know, he would say that the best

this poet says the poem says the best

speech is the Quran,

and the best charity you can give us

to spend time with the Quran.

And that, you know, it will intercede for

of your family members as mentioned in authentic

hadith,

and that it will allow a person not

to be

accounted or audited by Allah

and that it is, masha Allah, the best

speech anybody can say whoever

desires to be near to Allah, then let

them recite the Quran.
