Praise Allah

00:00:32 --> 00:00:35

Some peace and blessings upon our beloved messenger,

00:00:35 --> 00:00:36

Muhammad

00:00:38 --> 00:00:41

upon his family, his companions, those who follow

00:00:41 --> 00:00:43

them until the end of time.

00:00:47 --> 00:00:50

Every Saturday evening around this time,

00:00:50 --> 00:00:51

going to gather together

00:00:53 --> 00:00:53

to read from

00:00:54 --> 00:00:56

a collection of a hadith of the prophet.

00:01:04 --> 00:01:07

And this hadith this collection of hadith

00:01:07 --> 00:01:09

is dealing with character.

00:01:10 --> 00:01:11

And

00:01:14 --> 00:01:15

is dealing with character,

00:01:16 --> 00:01:18

and we know that character is very important.

00:01:19 --> 00:01:20

The prophet

00:01:20 --> 00:01:21

said,

00:01:26 --> 00:01:27

that the prophet

00:01:28 --> 00:01:30

said in a sound hadith that the closest

00:01:30 --> 00:01:33

of you to me and the hereafter will

00:01:33 --> 00:01:34

be those of you who had the best

00:01:34 --> 00:01:35

character.

00:01:38 --> 00:01:39

And the prophet

00:01:43 --> 00:01:44

he was asked

00:01:45 --> 00:01:46

very importantly, he was asked

00:01:47 --> 00:01:48

asked what,

00:01:48 --> 00:01:50

are the 2 things that will take someone

00:01:51 --> 00:01:52

to Jannah?

00:01:53 --> 00:01:53

And he said,

00:01:58 --> 00:02:00

is to be mindful of Allah, to be

00:02:00 --> 00:02:02

obedient to Allah,

00:02:02 --> 00:02:05

and to behave well with other people.

00:02:05 --> 00:02:07

We ask Allah to cure your father

00:02:17 --> 00:02:19

May Allah bless him and protect him.

00:02:20 --> 00:02:21

So every Saturday,

00:02:21 --> 00:02:23

we'll come together. We'll read,

00:02:23 --> 00:02:24

there's a 150

00:02:25 --> 00:02:26

hadith in this collection.

00:02:27 --> 00:02:28

We're going to read, try to read like

00:02:28 --> 00:02:31

10 or so, 5 to 10 every week,

00:02:32 --> 00:02:34

so that we can work on our character.

00:02:35 --> 00:02:37

That takes us to a very important

00:02:38 --> 00:02:41

idea in Islam, and that is that character

00:02:41 --> 00:02:42

is something that you can,

00:02:43 --> 00:02:45

control by the will of Allah azza wa

00:02:45 --> 00:02:45

jal

00:02:46 --> 00:02:47

and that you

00:02:47 --> 00:02:50

are responsible and I am responsible for.

00:02:51 --> 00:02:53

We find this on the in the authentic

00:02:53 --> 00:02:54

hadith of the prophet

00:02:54 --> 00:02:55

who

00:02:56 --> 00:02:57

said

00:02:58 --> 00:02:59

that I promise

00:03:00 --> 00:03:00

a home

00:03:01 --> 00:03:03

in the highest level of paradise for the

00:03:03 --> 00:03:04

one

00:03:08 --> 00:03:09

The person who improves

00:03:10 --> 00:03:11

his or her Islam.

00:03:13 --> 00:03:15

And the prophet sallallahu alaihi

00:03:15 --> 00:03:17

wasahe wasaheem come

00:03:20 --> 00:03:22

out. Say the imam Muslim he narrates that

00:03:22 --> 00:03:22

the prophet

00:03:23 --> 00:03:23

Sallallahu

00:03:24 --> 00:03:25

Alaihi Wa Wa Salam.

00:03:26 --> 00:03:27

He said, Whoever

00:03:31 --> 00:03:34

he or she improves his or her Islam.

00:03:35 --> 00:03:38

Then Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will multiply their

00:03:38 --> 00:03:40

good like in infinite ways.

00:03:42 --> 00:03:45

So what do we understand from these,

00:03:45 --> 00:03:47

a hadith? Is that a person can indeed

00:03:47 --> 00:03:49

improve their character?

00:03:50 --> 00:03:52

And if it was impossible for us to

00:03:52 --> 00:03:54

improve our character, then why would Allah

00:03:55 --> 00:03:57

command us to do so?

00:03:57 --> 00:03:59

And it's from the foundations

00:03:59 --> 00:04:01

of Quranic interpretation

00:04:01 --> 00:04:02

that Allah

00:04:03 --> 00:04:03

will not

00:04:04 --> 00:04:07

command us to do something we are unable

00:04:07 --> 00:04:07

to do.

00:04:09 --> 00:04:10

So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says,

00:04:14 --> 00:04:16

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala does not burden

00:04:17 --> 00:04:19

someone with what they can handle. Meaning in

00:04:19 --> 00:04:21

his Sharia, there is taisir.

00:04:23 --> 00:04:24

In the sharia of Allah

00:04:25 --> 00:04:27

there's ease as we'll talk about later and

00:04:27 --> 00:04:28

facilitation.

00:04:39 --> 00:04:40

That's your husband's responsibility.

00:04:41 --> 00:04:43

I'm so sorry that this has happened to

00:04:43 --> 00:04:44

you. May Allah

00:04:44 --> 00:04:47

bless you and give you whatever you is

00:04:47 --> 00:04:49

making you happy. You you are not responsible

00:04:50 --> 00:04:52

or should you blame yourself for

00:04:52 --> 00:04:55

his behavior. He's responsible for his behavior,

00:04:56 --> 00:04:58

but he is responsible for changing himself.

00:04:59 --> 00:05:01

We ask Allah to bless you,

00:05:02 --> 00:05:03

and to protect you and bless your family

00:05:03 --> 00:05:04

inshallah.

00:05:06 --> 00:05:08

So we'll start with the first hadith.

00:05:09 --> 00:05:11

And, of course, this text is written by

00:05:11 --> 00:05:13

the sheikh of one of my sheikhs,

00:05:14 --> 00:05:15

sheikh,

00:05:16 --> 00:05:19

Abi al Sheikh Abulfhadl Abdullah

00:05:20 --> 00:05:20

Muhammad

00:05:24 --> 00:05:26

Of course, those of you from from Morocco,

00:05:27 --> 00:05:28

perhaps you heard of Ibn Sadiq

00:05:29 --> 00:05:30

Radiallahu Anhoon.

00:05:31 --> 00:05:33

May Allah be pleased with him. And in

00:05:33 --> 00:05:36

this short collection of ahadith, 150hadith,

00:05:37 --> 00:05:40

he's gathered together some very beautiful ahadith

00:05:40 --> 00:05:43

that touch on how we can be inspired

00:05:44 --> 00:05:46

to improve ourselves. And I see myself in

00:05:46 --> 00:05:48

this moment with you as the one who's

00:05:48 --> 00:05:50

most in need, alhamdulillah,

00:05:50 --> 00:05:53

of of taking benefit from from what these

00:05:53 --> 00:05:54

hadith,

00:05:55 --> 00:05:56

have to share with us. We

00:05:58 --> 00:06:00

know that Abdulrahman ibn Qasim

00:06:01 --> 00:06:03

Abdulrahman ibn Qasim was

00:06:03 --> 00:06:06

the greatest one of the greatest students of

00:06:06 --> 00:06:07

Imam Malik ibn Anis.

00:06:09 --> 00:06:11

And Abdur Rahman ibn Qasim,

00:06:12 --> 00:06:14

he said as is mentioned by Al Qadi

00:06:14 --> 00:06:14

Iyal.

00:06:16 --> 00:06:17

He said that I studied with the Imam

00:06:17 --> 00:06:19

Malik or radiallahu anhu

00:06:20 --> 00:06:20

20 years.

00:06:22 --> 00:06:23

20 years.

00:06:24 --> 00:06:25

He said 17

00:06:26 --> 00:06:27

of those years,

00:06:27 --> 00:06:28

I learned character

00:06:30 --> 00:06:33

And 3 of those years, I learned filk.

00:06:34 --> 00:06:35

And I wish

00:06:36 --> 00:06:38

that I could exchange those last 3 years

00:06:38 --> 00:06:40

to continue learning character.

00:06:42 --> 00:06:43

I say this

00:06:44 --> 00:06:45

as someone who,

00:06:47 --> 00:06:49

means to say this in the best way

00:06:49 --> 00:06:49

I can.

00:06:50 --> 00:06:53

But the way that we are educating ourselves

00:06:53 --> 00:06:54

currently

00:06:55 --> 00:06:57

as a community is problematic.

00:06:59 --> 00:07:00

And in fact, it doesn't really

00:07:01 --> 00:07:02

equate to knowledge.

00:07:03 --> 00:07:05

That is that we may bounce from here

00:07:05 --> 00:07:06

to there,

00:07:06 --> 00:07:08

we catch up on the latest

00:07:08 --> 00:07:09

kind of,

00:07:10 --> 00:07:12

scandal in the community because we mirror, right,

00:07:12 --> 00:07:13

the dominant,

00:07:14 --> 00:07:16

we mirror the culture of the occupier.

00:07:18 --> 00:07:21

And whether that occupier is occupying our land

00:07:22 --> 00:07:24

or occupying our hearts and minds,

00:07:25 --> 00:07:27

we tend people tend to have Stockholm syndrome.

00:07:28 --> 00:07:30

So it's very interesting that you see

00:07:30 --> 00:07:31

the same type of entertainment

00:07:32 --> 00:07:34

avenues within non Muslim circles

00:07:35 --> 00:07:38

are now being given the laws of Islam

00:07:38 --> 00:07:39

and reproduced

00:07:40 --> 00:07:41

in Muslim circles.

00:07:41 --> 00:07:44

As people people will spend hours and hours

00:07:44 --> 00:07:46

and hours listening to people talk about other

00:07:46 --> 00:07:47

people

00:07:48 --> 00:07:50

or to talk about the latest

00:07:51 --> 00:07:51

controversy.

00:07:52 --> 00:07:55

But where are the people who are really

00:07:55 --> 00:07:57

engrossed in the Quran?

00:07:59 --> 00:08:01

Engrossed in the hadith of the prophet sallallahu

00:08:01 --> 00:08:03

alaihi wa sallam? Do they feel that they

00:08:03 --> 00:08:05

don't have a need for that?

00:08:05 --> 00:08:07

Do people feel they don't need the Quran?

00:08:09 --> 00:08:11

Do they feel they don't need to study

00:08:11 --> 00:08:12

the hadith of the prophet sallallahu

00:08:13 --> 00:08:13

alaihi wa sallam?

00:08:14 --> 00:08:17

What's more important is to get caught up

00:08:17 --> 00:08:19

in all of the kind of really shallow

00:08:19 --> 00:08:20

things that are happening.

00:08:22 --> 00:08:23

That's why Sayna

00:08:28 --> 00:08:30

If Allah has willed for someone

00:08:31 --> 00:08:32

evil,

00:08:38 --> 00:08:40

That then if that's the case, then that

00:08:40 --> 00:08:43

person will find, like, the entry points into

00:08:43 --> 00:08:44

meaningless discussions

00:08:44 --> 00:08:45

and arguments

00:08:46 --> 00:08:48

is facilitated for him or her.

00:08:52 --> 00:08:54

And if the Prophet salallahu alaihi wasalam, he

00:08:54 --> 00:08:57

said if Allah wills for you good, then

00:08:57 --> 00:09:00

you will find the entry points into a

00:09:00 --> 00:09:00

bada

00:09:02 --> 00:09:02

and service

00:09:03 --> 00:09:05

facilitated for us.

00:09:06 --> 00:09:09

So we especially English speaking Muslims,

00:09:10 --> 00:09:11

they have to really

00:09:11 --> 00:09:12

think about

00:09:12 --> 00:09:15

realigning themselves with studying

00:09:16 --> 00:09:16

tafsir,

00:09:17 --> 00:09:17

studying

00:09:18 --> 00:09:20

hadith of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam,

00:09:20 --> 00:09:22

because that's what

00:09:23 --> 00:09:25

made the early Muslims great.

00:09:26 --> 00:09:28

And then calibrating that as a source of

00:09:29 --> 00:09:29

interpretive

00:09:29 --> 00:09:31

inspiration. So I feel

00:09:32 --> 00:09:34

it's very, very important

00:09:36 --> 00:09:39

to read hadith of the prophet salallahu alayhi

00:09:39 --> 00:09:40

wa sallam at least once a week.

00:09:49 --> 00:09:51

And every one of these hadith, we are

00:09:51 --> 00:09:52

relating with the chain

00:09:53 --> 00:09:54

back to the prophet.

00:09:55 --> 00:09:57

The second is that you're going to find

00:09:57 --> 00:09:57

within,

00:09:58 --> 00:10:00

this collection mini week hadith.

00:10:01 --> 00:10:03

And this is one of the greatest catastrophes

00:10:03 --> 00:10:05

of the Sunni community

00:10:05 --> 00:10:07

is that we have confused

00:10:07 --> 00:10:08

weak hadith

00:10:09 --> 00:10:11

for a hadith which is fabricated.

00:10:12 --> 00:10:14

But a hadith is fabricated is maldur.

00:10:15 --> 00:10:18

And a hadith that is weak is da'if.

00:10:18 --> 00:10:20

And you have to be very, very careful

00:10:20 --> 00:10:22

if you are young and Sunni now

00:10:22 --> 00:10:23

that you may inadvertently

00:10:24 --> 00:10:25

be exposed

00:10:26 --> 00:10:28

because of the amount of,

00:10:29 --> 00:10:30

influence that certain

00:10:31 --> 00:10:33

ways of thinking have into the community because

00:10:33 --> 00:10:36

of funding and because of access given to

00:10:36 --> 00:10:37

the ummah,

00:10:37 --> 00:10:40

you may actually be being taught what were

00:10:40 --> 00:10:40

considered

00:10:41 --> 00:10:44

fringe opinions within the Sunni community for years.

00:10:44 --> 00:10:46

For example, a fringe opinion

00:10:48 --> 00:10:50

that was in the Sunni community for years

00:10:51 --> 00:10:53

for years was that a hadith, which is

00:10:53 --> 00:10:53

Da'if.

00:10:54 --> 00:10:55

Right?

00:10:57 --> 00:10:58

Should be completely

00:10:58 --> 00:10:59

rejected

00:10:59 --> 00:11:00

and not acted upon.

00:11:01 --> 00:11:03

This was a fringe opinion

00:11:04 --> 00:11:05

held by

00:11:06 --> 00:11:07

a a small minority

00:11:07 --> 00:11:10

of scholars in the science of Hadith.

00:11:13 --> 00:11:16

Whereas now because of contemporary salafism, and this

00:11:16 --> 00:11:19

is an academic analysis, this is not, to

00:11:19 --> 00:11:19

attack anybody,

00:11:20 --> 00:11:23

But contemporary Salafism, especially in areas of Akida,

00:11:24 --> 00:11:26

especially in the areas of Tafsir

00:11:26 --> 00:11:28

and especially in the areas of the science

00:11:28 --> 00:11:29

of Hadith

00:11:30 --> 00:11:31

have popularized

00:11:31 --> 00:11:32

and made mainstream

00:11:33 --> 00:11:37

opinions about issues that were were once considered

00:11:37 --> 00:11:38

on the margins

00:11:39 --> 00:11:40

of mainstream Sunni Islam.

00:11:42 --> 00:11:44

And one of the most important is that

00:11:44 --> 00:11:45

a Hadith Da'if

00:11:45 --> 00:11:48

should be treated like it's poison or cancer.

00:11:49 --> 00:11:50

This is not true.

00:11:50 --> 00:11:52

This is not the opinion of the majority.

00:11:53 --> 00:11:55

Look at the statement of Sayna Imam and

00:11:55 --> 00:11:55

Nawawi

00:11:57 --> 00:12:00

in his introduction to the 40 hadith. He

00:12:00 --> 00:12:00

said,

00:12:02 --> 00:12:03

He said, the scholars agreed

00:12:04 --> 00:12:06

that you are allowed to use weak hadith

00:12:07 --> 00:12:07

and

00:12:09 --> 00:12:10

in issues related to virtues.

00:12:11 --> 00:12:12

That's Imam Manawi,

00:12:14 --> 00:12:17

Sheikh Albani, Ala Yohamu, Sheikh Ibn Uthaimin,

00:12:18 --> 00:12:18

and

00:12:20 --> 00:12:20

other,

00:12:21 --> 00:12:23

people who come from the Salafi madrasa,

00:12:23 --> 00:12:26

but especially Sheikh, Sheikh Al Bani, Alaia Hammel,

00:12:27 --> 00:12:27

criticized

00:12:28 --> 00:12:30

Imam Anawi and said, no. There's no Ijmaat

00:12:31 --> 00:12:31

here.

00:12:32 --> 00:12:34

But that's not what Imam Anawi'i

00:12:34 --> 00:12:35

meant.

00:12:35 --> 00:12:38

I read, Alhamdulillah, 40 hadith more than at

00:12:38 --> 00:12:39

least

00:12:39 --> 00:12:41

60 to 70 times with the shoo. What

00:12:44 --> 00:12:45

he meant

00:12:46 --> 00:12:46

is

00:12:47 --> 00:12:48

most most of them

00:12:49 --> 00:12:51

Most of them. He didn't say

00:13:00 --> 00:13:01

They have this opinion.

00:13:01 --> 00:13:03

So this is a a a problem now

00:13:03 --> 00:13:04

within,

00:13:04 --> 00:13:06

contemporary Sunni,

00:13:06 --> 00:13:09

thought is that oftentimes they find themselves and

00:13:09 --> 00:13:11

that's okay if you want to adopt that

00:13:11 --> 00:13:14

opinion. That's fine. But that opinion should not

00:13:14 --> 00:13:14

be opinion,

00:13:15 --> 00:13:17

positioned and presented as the mainstream.

00:13:18 --> 00:13:19

This is my point. The mainstream

00:13:20 --> 00:13:22

as mentioned by Sayedee Imam Manawi, as mentioned

00:13:22 --> 00:13:25

by Sayedee Imam Ibn Hajar for the Allahu

00:13:25 --> 00:13:28

Anhu that it is allowed to act on

00:13:28 --> 00:13:30

a Hadith Daif in what are called the.

00:13:31 --> 00:13:34

Those hadith that talk about virtues

00:13:34 --> 00:13:37

under the following conditions. You wanna remember this.

00:13:39 --> 00:13:41

The first condition is it should not be

00:13:41 --> 00:13:42

extremely weak.

00:13:43 --> 00:13:45

What what do they mean by extremely weak?

00:13:45 --> 00:13:46

Hadith maldur.

00:13:47 --> 00:13:49

Because, of course, hadith maldur as mentioned by

00:13:49 --> 00:13:50

Al Hafiz,

00:13:51 --> 00:13:52

Iraqi and imam.

00:13:54 --> 00:13:55

Right? Hadith

00:13:55 --> 00:13:57

is a branch of weak hadith,

00:13:57 --> 00:13:58

but it's like

00:13:58 --> 00:14:01

not allowed to narrate it, not allowed to

00:14:01 --> 00:14:03

act on it, not allowed to even consider

00:14:03 --> 00:14:04

it. This is called.

00:14:06 --> 00:14:06

After

00:14:08 --> 00:14:09

that's a whole different discussion.

00:14:10 --> 00:14:11

Then after maldur

00:14:11 --> 00:14:14

is is a what we can say a

00:14:14 --> 00:14:16

a less weak type of hadith of da'if.

00:14:18 --> 00:14:21

But what the scholars meant by that the

00:14:21 --> 00:14:23

hadith should not be extremely weak, number 1,

00:14:23 --> 00:14:24

it's not.

00:14:26 --> 00:14:28

And number 2, there's nothing

00:14:29 --> 00:14:30

in the character of the,

00:14:31 --> 00:14:33

like the narrator is a liar

00:14:34 --> 00:14:36

or the narrator is someone who's known

00:14:37 --> 00:14:38

almodellus for example.

00:14:39 --> 00:14:41

So in other words, maybe in this hadith,

00:14:41 --> 00:14:43

the person has like, they weren't they weren't

00:14:43 --> 00:14:44

as a they weren't a good scribe,

00:14:45 --> 00:14:46

Maybe his or her memory at that time

00:14:46 --> 00:14:48

wasn't as strong as it used to be.

00:14:48 --> 00:14:50

Maybe they narrated from someone, they were known

00:14:50 --> 00:14:53

their narrations from that person weren't quite as

00:14:53 --> 00:14:55

strong as from others and so on and

00:14:55 --> 00:14:56

so forth. So this is not the same

00:14:56 --> 00:14:58

as Hadith Mauduah.

00:15:00 --> 00:15:01

Hadith Mauduah

00:15:02 --> 00:15:03

is a famous one

00:15:03 --> 00:15:04

that

00:15:05 --> 00:15:07

you you know, Imam Masiyuti mentions a guy

00:15:08 --> 00:15:10

who was selling melons in front of a

00:15:10 --> 00:15:12

masjid, and he said whoever buys melons enters

00:15:12 --> 00:15:12

Jannah.

00:15:16 --> 00:15:16

Absolutely fabricated.

00:15:19 --> 00:15:21

The narration that the prophet made the deal

00:15:21 --> 00:15:23

with the that I'll worship your gods for

00:15:23 --> 00:15:24

you for a few days. You'll worship my

00:15:24 --> 00:15:26

gods for you for a few days.

00:15:26 --> 00:15:27

The hadith

00:15:29 --> 00:15:30

hadamal dua.

00:15:31 --> 00:15:32

The second it's a great question, by the

00:15:32 --> 00:15:32

way,

00:15:33 --> 00:15:34

The second,

00:15:34 --> 00:15:35

condition

00:15:35 --> 00:15:37

that a hadith is not super weak,

00:15:38 --> 00:15:40

that we should mention, that that can be

00:15:40 --> 00:15:41

used, excuse me, in Fada'il

00:15:42 --> 00:15:44

is that it does not deal with and

00:15:47 --> 00:15:49

explicitly. So like it says, this is haram,

00:15:49 --> 00:15:51

this is halal, this is so on and

00:15:51 --> 00:15:52

so forth.

00:15:52 --> 00:15:54

This this hadith has to be.

00:15:55 --> 00:15:59

Although sometimes there are weak hadith that the

00:15:59 --> 00:16:01

scholars used, we'll talk about this in the

00:16:01 --> 00:16:02

future because

00:16:05 --> 00:16:06

because the

00:16:07 --> 00:16:08

salaf acted on the hadith.

00:16:09 --> 00:16:12

Exactly. So is a fabrication. Right? A will

00:16:12 --> 00:16:13

for fabrication.

00:16:28 --> 00:16:30

So the Hadith should not deal with the

00:16:30 --> 00:16:32

Aqidah. It should not deal with issues of

00:16:35 --> 00:16:38

The third is that it should be supported

00:16:38 --> 00:16:41

by other more authentic text either implicitly or

00:16:41 --> 00:16:42

explicitly.

00:16:43 --> 00:16:45

So much it has other support

00:16:46 --> 00:16:49

in other areas. Although in firkan, I said

00:16:49 --> 00:16:51

this earlier, we can talk about it early

00:16:51 --> 00:16:53

in the future. Sometimes we find hadith that

00:16:53 --> 00:16:54

are weak

00:16:55 --> 00:16:57

are used because the salaf used to act

00:16:57 --> 00:16:58

on those things.

00:16:59 --> 00:17:00

Like the Hadith

00:17:03 --> 00:17:04

right? That you cannot

00:17:05 --> 00:17:08

bequeath anything to someone who's going to inherit

00:17:08 --> 00:17:10

from you. It's hadith related by Abu Dawood,

00:17:10 --> 00:17:11

hadith Da'if.

00:17:14 --> 00:17:16

It's a weak hadith, but we found the

00:17:16 --> 00:17:17

early Muslims acting on it.

00:17:18 --> 00:17:20

And we know that some of the of

00:17:20 --> 00:17:20

Islam

00:17:23 --> 00:17:25

that sometimes the actions of the salaf are

00:17:25 --> 00:17:27

given preference like in the

00:17:28 --> 00:17:29

and others.

00:17:32 --> 00:17:33

So inshallah,

00:17:33 --> 00:17:35

we're gonna start with the first hadith.

00:17:36 --> 00:17:37

This is a very beautiful hadith

00:17:38 --> 00:17:39

that the prophet

00:17:39 --> 00:17:41

said, and I have it here also for

00:17:41 --> 00:17:44

you so you can see this hadith.

00:17:44 --> 00:17:45

Yeah.

00:17:48 --> 00:17:49

And again,

00:17:49 --> 00:17:51

this is for people who, you know, have

00:17:51 --> 00:17:52

some kind of basic

00:17:53 --> 00:17:53

decency.

00:17:54 --> 00:17:55

We see some of these

00:17:57 --> 00:17:58

Some of these,

00:18:01 --> 00:18:02

colonizers and

00:18:03 --> 00:18:06

murderers jumping into the, chat to share

00:18:06 --> 00:18:08

their filth. Just ignore them.

00:18:09 --> 00:18:12

Don't give them any any any, attention. So

00:18:21 --> 00:18:24

So this hadith of the prophet says

00:18:26 --> 00:18:27

actually should be a better.

00:18:35 --> 00:18:37

Means to always bring the good.

00:18:38 --> 00:18:40

And the the letter bat, which is not

00:18:40 --> 00:18:43

mentioned, but it's it's connected to the hadith

00:18:43 --> 00:18:43

at.

00:18:44 --> 00:18:46

The means from

00:18:47 --> 00:18:48

the same word as Sahabi.

00:18:49 --> 00:18:50

Meaning wherever you go,

00:18:51 --> 00:18:52

you're with good.

00:18:53 --> 00:18:55

Wherever you go, you're with with

00:18:57 --> 00:19:00

and here means 2 things. Number 1, obedience.

00:19:01 --> 00:19:02

What Allah

00:19:02 --> 00:19:03

has commanded.

00:19:05 --> 00:19:06

And number 2, what

00:19:06 --> 00:19:08

the righteous Muslim community

00:19:09 --> 00:19:11

deems as acceptable for which there is no

00:19:11 --> 00:19:12

text.

00:19:12 --> 00:19:13

The prophet

00:19:16 --> 00:19:19

my will not disagree agree on misguidance.

00:19:20 --> 00:19:20

So the prophet

00:19:21 --> 00:19:24

he starts good character. What does he say?

00:19:27 --> 00:19:29

I want you again to to appreciate the

00:19:29 --> 00:19:31

word. It's not there in that Arabic print

00:19:31 --> 00:19:33

that I took from the Internet. But the

00:19:33 --> 00:19:34

hadith actually says

00:19:36 --> 00:19:37

The word means

00:19:42 --> 00:19:43

here. Wherever you are,

00:19:44 --> 00:19:46

whatever situation you're in,

00:19:46 --> 00:19:49

it is though you're with good.

00:19:52 --> 00:19:55

Exactly. Ignore them. Allah says in the Quran,

00:19:58 --> 00:19:59

turn away from the ignorant. And the fact

00:19:59 --> 00:20:01

that they are here

00:20:01 --> 00:20:02

to,

00:20:02 --> 00:20:04

that they have enough time to come and

00:20:04 --> 00:20:06

bother us, it tells you a lot about

00:20:06 --> 00:20:07

their life,

00:20:08 --> 00:20:08

May

00:20:08 --> 00:20:09

Allah bless them,

00:20:10 --> 00:20:13

And, we hope that Allah will bless our

00:20:13 --> 00:20:15

character to shine into the hearts of these

00:20:15 --> 00:20:17

people. So the hadith says,

00:20:19 --> 00:20:21

and this actually is running counter to ideas

00:20:22 --> 00:20:22

of postmodernity

00:20:23 --> 00:20:23

and especially

00:20:24 --> 00:20:25

postmodern secularism.

00:20:25 --> 00:20:28

That religion, you should be pious only in

00:20:28 --> 00:20:29

certain places,

00:20:29 --> 00:20:32

but in other places, you can act however

00:20:32 --> 00:20:33

you want. Let

00:20:34 --> 00:20:35

whatever you are,

00:20:38 --> 00:20:40

Whatever you are, whatever situation,

00:20:40 --> 00:20:42

be with my. Be with what's good.

00:20:44 --> 00:20:45

That's why Allah subhanahu wa

00:20:46 --> 00:20:47

ta'ala said,

00:21:07 --> 00:21:09

and stay away from sin. Means

00:21:10 --> 00:21:13

actually to completely break away, to abandon.

00:21:13 --> 00:21:14

And the word

00:21:15 --> 00:21:16

when found in the Quran

00:21:17 --> 00:21:19

is a command in whatever the object of

00:21:19 --> 00:21:21

the command is is forbidden.

00:21:23 --> 00:21:23

So Allah

00:21:24 --> 00:21:25

says about.

00:21:29 --> 00:21:31

Abandon it and you'll be successful.

00:21:32 --> 00:21:34

The prophet sallallahu alaihi wa

00:21:35 --> 00:21:36

sakhi wasallam,

00:21:36 --> 00:21:37

he said,

00:21:40 --> 00:21:43

whatever I prohibited you from,

00:21:43 --> 00:21:45

you have to abandon it.

00:21:48 --> 00:21:49

Then he says and here's the part. It's

00:21:49 --> 00:21:50

very beautiful.

00:21:55 --> 00:21:59

Look at what causes and hear your. It

00:21:59 --> 00:22:00

means something that you hear and it makes

00:22:00 --> 00:22:01

you feel good.

00:22:03 --> 00:22:05

Something that you hear, you're a jibook and

00:22:05 --> 00:22:07

it makes you feel like, wow,

00:22:10 --> 00:22:13

pertaining to what people say about you.

00:22:14 --> 00:22:16

So look at those things that people say

00:22:16 --> 00:22:17

about you that bring you a sense of

00:22:17 --> 00:22:18

value and happiness.

00:22:23 --> 00:22:25

And what it means here is when you

00:22:25 --> 00:22:26

go somewhere and someone says,

00:22:27 --> 00:22:29

you're such a good person, or you're online

00:22:29 --> 00:22:30

and someone says,

00:22:31 --> 00:22:32

you're such a nice,

00:22:32 --> 00:22:35

person. Or someone says, maybe you got sin

00:22:35 --> 00:22:37

and evil. Maybe I have sin and evil

00:22:37 --> 00:22:38

in my life, but people when they see

00:22:38 --> 00:22:41

you somewhere or they engage with you, they

00:22:41 --> 00:22:43

say good things about you. The prophet says,

00:22:43 --> 00:22:44

when that happens,

00:22:45 --> 00:22:46

do what they say

00:22:47 --> 00:22:49

even if you're not doing it.

00:22:50 --> 00:22:52

Do your best to live up to what

00:22:52 --> 00:22:52

their expectations

00:22:53 --> 00:22:53

are.

00:22:53 --> 00:22:55

Of course, within the realm of

00:22:55 --> 00:22:56

responsibility.

00:22:56 --> 00:22:59

Right? So let's say that somebody,

00:23:00 --> 00:23:02

like, he he struggles with some issue.

00:23:03 --> 00:23:04

And then

00:23:04 --> 00:23:07

he he doesn't tell anybody. It's between him

00:23:07 --> 00:23:09

and Allah or her and Allah this sin.

00:23:10 --> 00:23:12

And then they maybe somebody they struggle to

00:23:12 --> 00:23:13

pray, would take an eat, or they struggle

00:23:13 --> 00:23:15

to have good relationship with their their spouse

00:23:15 --> 00:23:17

or their parents or whoever.

00:23:17 --> 00:23:19

And subhanAllah, then they meet some people and

00:23:19 --> 00:23:20

they say, your

00:23:20 --> 00:23:22

marriage is so good or like,

00:23:23 --> 00:23:25

you're so good with your kids or you're

00:23:25 --> 00:23:26

so good to your parents or

00:23:27 --> 00:23:30

you're you're so you're so studious with your

00:23:30 --> 00:23:30

salah.

00:23:32 --> 00:23:34

If that is not actually the case,

00:23:35 --> 00:23:37

then you should treat this as a zikr

00:23:38 --> 00:23:40

reminding you of what you should be.

00:23:42 --> 00:23:44

So the prophet said, if that happens, don't

00:23:44 --> 00:23:46

allow it to make you feel oh, man.

00:23:46 --> 00:23:47

These people, they don't know how really I

00:23:47 --> 00:23:50

am, dude. Like, I'm so nasty. I'm so

00:23:50 --> 00:23:50

evil.

00:23:51 --> 00:23:52

He says

00:23:55 --> 00:23:57

then try your best to do it as

00:23:57 --> 00:23:59

long as it's not, like, you know, irrational

00:24:00 --> 00:24:00

or beyond

00:24:01 --> 00:24:03

your normal kind of means of behavior.

00:24:04 --> 00:24:06

Then he says, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam,

00:24:12 --> 00:24:13

Then look at those things which you hate

00:24:13 --> 00:24:15

to hear about yourself,

00:24:16 --> 00:24:17

that people say about you.

00:24:18 --> 00:24:19

Either

00:24:20 --> 00:24:21

like when you're amongst the people

00:24:22 --> 00:24:25

and they say things about you that maybe

00:24:25 --> 00:24:26

it's not true,

00:24:26 --> 00:24:27

but it's it's bad.

00:24:30 --> 00:24:33

Then stay away from it even if those

00:24:33 --> 00:24:35

people, they don't like you, even if they're

00:24:35 --> 00:24:37

they're your enemies, even if they're people who

00:24:37 --> 00:24:38

hate you,

00:24:39 --> 00:24:41

stay away from, subhanAllah,

00:24:42 --> 00:24:44

those things that they said that are bad.

00:24:45 --> 00:24:48

And if you're doing it, then immediately stop.

00:24:50 --> 00:24:53

However, there's an important commentary here, and that

00:24:53 --> 00:24:54

is the people who

00:24:55 --> 00:24:57

should cause you to act this way

00:24:57 --> 00:24:59

in general should be people of taqwa.

00:25:01 --> 00:25:03

Or if they are not people of taqwa,

00:25:04 --> 00:25:07

what they say aligns with religious values.

00:25:08 --> 00:25:10

What they say aligns with Islam.

00:25:11 --> 00:25:14

It could be anybody as the prophet said,

00:25:14 --> 00:25:15

al Hikmahtudaratul

00:25:15 --> 00:25:18

mumin, that wisdom is the lost treasure of

00:25:18 --> 00:25:19

the believer.

00:25:20 --> 00:25:21

But we have to make sure that what

00:25:21 --> 00:25:22

they say aligns

00:25:23 --> 00:25:24

with 3 important things.

00:25:25 --> 00:25:28

Number 1, it's not going to break you.

00:25:29 --> 00:25:32

Like, it's not like something that's way beyond

00:25:32 --> 00:25:32

your ability

00:25:34 --> 00:25:36

because then you're doing something that goes against

00:25:36 --> 00:25:37

the sunnah of Allah.

00:25:38 --> 00:25:41

Number 2, that it aligns with religious values.

00:25:41 --> 00:25:42

It aligns with revelation.

00:25:45 --> 00:25:46

And number 3,

00:25:47 --> 00:25:50

that as we said earlier, those people should

00:25:50 --> 00:25:51

at least be people of islah,

00:25:52 --> 00:25:54

like people who have good intentions

00:25:55 --> 00:25:56

or what they say

00:25:57 --> 00:25:58

aligns with good.

00:26:01 --> 00:26:02

So this is the first hadith that we

00:26:03 --> 00:26:03

took.

00:26:13 --> 00:26:16

Right? You must always be with good, and

00:26:16 --> 00:26:18

you must always be away far away from

00:26:18 --> 00:26:19

sin.

00:26:22 --> 00:26:24

And look to those things that make you

00:26:24 --> 00:26:25

when you hear it or when you see

00:26:25 --> 00:26:27

it online, right? Something that makes you feel

00:26:27 --> 00:26:30

good about yourself. Look at that.

00:26:32 --> 00:26:33

And

00:26:33 --> 00:26:35

if the people say that and you're not

00:26:35 --> 00:26:37

doing it, try to do it as best

00:26:37 --> 00:26:38

you can.

00:26:38 --> 00:26:40

And look at those things that you hate

00:26:40 --> 00:26:42

to hear about yourself.

00:26:42 --> 00:26:44

And if you're doing it, stop.

00:26:45 --> 00:26:46

If it's evil

00:26:46 --> 00:26:48

and if you're not, then Alhamdulillah,

00:26:52 --> 00:26:53

then, right,

00:26:53 --> 00:26:55

you should do your best.

00:26:55 --> 00:26:57

We'll take the second a hadith of the

00:26:57 --> 00:26:59

prophet and then I think we have to

00:26:59 --> 00:26:59

we'll take,

00:27:00 --> 00:27:01

2 more a hadith and then we have

00:27:01 --> 00:27:03

to stop inshallah. We were going to read

00:27:03 --> 00:27:05

5, but we're running out of time. But

00:27:05 --> 00:27:06

every Saturday evening

00:27:08 --> 00:27:10

will come together. We're reading a 150

00:27:10 --> 00:27:12

Hadith. We're gonna read them quickly.

00:27:13 --> 00:27:14

By the time,

00:27:14 --> 00:27:16

they're done, you're gonna say like

00:27:16 --> 00:27:18

it went so quickly.

00:27:19 --> 00:27:20

The second hadith,

00:27:40 --> 00:27:40

The prophet

00:27:42 --> 00:27:44

said in this hadith related by and

00:27:46 --> 00:27:48

the great scholars from the Hambary School

00:27:50 --> 00:27:52

and others. The prophet

00:27:53 --> 00:27:55

said that Abu Bakr and Amar are to

00:27:55 --> 00:27:58

me like hearing and seeing is to the

00:27:58 --> 00:28:01

head on a body.

00:28:02 --> 00:28:05

And, of course, these this hadith shows us

00:28:05 --> 00:28:05

the

00:28:07 --> 00:28:08

important role

00:28:09 --> 00:28:12

of Saydina Abi Bakr Radiallahu Anhu and Saydina

00:28:12 --> 00:28:14

Amar Radiallahu Ta'ala Anhu.

00:28:16 --> 00:28:18

And that the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam

00:28:18 --> 00:28:20

teaches us the importance

00:28:20 --> 00:28:22

of having good friends

00:28:22 --> 00:28:23

and good supporters.

00:28:24 --> 00:28:26

Even though the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam, he

00:28:26 --> 00:28:27

doesn't need

00:28:28 --> 00:28:29

support from any people

00:28:29 --> 00:28:31

because Allah

00:28:34 --> 00:28:36

Allah has his back,

00:28:36 --> 00:28:37

but the prophet

00:28:38 --> 00:28:39

also teaches us

00:28:39 --> 00:28:41

that we cannot do it alone.

00:28:42 --> 00:28:45

So we learn from this hadith 2 important

00:28:45 --> 00:28:48

3 important things. Number 1, the great virtues

00:28:48 --> 00:28:50

of Saydina Abi Bakr

00:28:50 --> 00:28:50

and

00:28:51 --> 00:28:52

Saydina Amrara

00:28:54 --> 00:28:54

Number 2,

00:28:55 --> 00:28:57

the importance of having supporters

00:28:58 --> 00:29:00

and in people

00:29:00 --> 00:29:03

there to support us in our lives, not

00:29:03 --> 00:29:04

to be by ourselves.

00:29:04 --> 00:29:06

And this is one of the dangers

00:29:06 --> 00:29:08

of this whole self help movement. I can

00:29:08 --> 00:29:10

do it alone. I can do it alone.

00:29:11 --> 00:29:12

Is is to place a person

00:29:13 --> 00:29:15

as the center of of of the orbit

00:29:15 --> 00:29:17

of their life, not to see themselves as

00:29:17 --> 00:29:18

part of a community. You know, the age

00:29:18 --> 00:29:21

of the individual is new. A 150 years

00:29:21 --> 00:29:23

ago, people didn't live alone.

00:29:23 --> 00:29:24

Individualism

00:29:24 --> 00:29:26

is the cult of this era.

00:29:28 --> 00:29:28

And the third

00:29:30 --> 00:29:32

is the importance to be volunteers and helpers

00:29:32 --> 00:29:34

because here we see

00:29:40 --> 00:29:41

and ready to help and assist

00:29:42 --> 00:29:43

the prophet

00:29:48 --> 00:29:49

The next hadith

00:29:50 --> 00:29:52

that we'll take is the 3rd hadith from

00:29:52 --> 00:29:53

this collection

00:29:54 --> 00:29:55

on good character

00:29:56 --> 00:29:58

inshallah. Actually, it's like super, super beautiful.

00:29:59 --> 00:30:01

And for those of you who are

00:30:01 --> 00:30:02

involved in environmental

00:30:03 --> 00:30:06

allyship and working for the environment and trying

00:30:06 --> 00:30:06

to help,

00:30:07 --> 00:30:10

you know, think about climate change. Climate change

00:30:10 --> 00:30:12

is going to impact the Muslim world,

00:30:13 --> 00:30:15

is impacting the impacting the Muslim world now

00:30:15 --> 00:30:18

as we speak in places like Pakistan, Afghanistan,

00:30:18 --> 00:30:19

in places like Bangladesh,

00:30:21 --> 00:30:22

in places in Africa.

00:30:24 --> 00:30:25

But look at the prophet

00:30:26 --> 00:30:27

who said

00:30:35 --> 00:30:36

I I want you to think about this.

00:30:38 --> 00:30:40

The prophet said that this hadith is related

00:30:40 --> 00:30:41

by saying, Imam Ahmed,

00:30:42 --> 00:30:43

Radhi Allahu Anhu.

00:30:44 --> 00:30:46

At the prophet said,

00:30:49 --> 00:30:50

That

00:30:50 --> 00:30:51

is a

00:30:52 --> 00:30:55

mountain that loves us and we love it.

00:30:55 --> 00:30:57

Can you imagine that the character of the

00:30:57 --> 00:31:00

Muslims and the behavior of the Muslims and

00:31:00 --> 00:31:02

the engagement of the Muslims

00:31:02 --> 00:31:05

was such that even they cause mountains to

00:31:05 --> 00:31:06

love them.

00:31:10 --> 00:31:13

That the the great sincerity and honesty

00:31:13 --> 00:31:16

that the early Muslims had to human beings

00:31:16 --> 00:31:18

and to the world around them was such

00:31:20 --> 00:31:20

that

00:31:21 --> 00:31:22

even a mountain

00:31:23 --> 00:31:25

loved the first generation.

00:31:27 --> 00:31:29

Also, who couldn't love them then? Who couldn't

00:31:29 --> 00:31:29

love

00:31:32 --> 00:31:34

Even the mountain of Uhud

00:31:35 --> 00:31:36

loved them and loved the prophet.

00:31:39 --> 00:31:40

That's why we find the hadith related by

00:31:40 --> 00:31:41

Sadie

00:31:59 --> 00:32:01

He said that the prophet they

00:32:03 --> 00:32:06

ascended the mountain of Uhid during the battle

00:32:06 --> 00:32:06

of Uhid.

00:32:08 --> 00:32:11

And suddenly, subhanallah, as they were ascending it,

00:32:11 --> 00:32:13

the mountain begin to shake.

00:32:28 --> 00:32:29

The prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,

00:32:30 --> 00:32:31

he said,

00:32:32 --> 00:32:34

as they were going up the mountain of

00:32:34 --> 00:32:36

Ohad and it began to shake,

00:32:36 --> 00:32:37

he said calm down.

00:32:39 --> 00:32:41

The only thing upon you now is a

00:32:41 --> 00:32:41

prophet,

00:32:42 --> 00:32:43

salallahu alaihi wa sallam.

00:32:44 --> 00:32:46

A truthful person

00:32:46 --> 00:32:47

and 2 martyrs.

00:32:52 --> 00:32:54

So the early Muslims were such that even

00:32:54 --> 00:32:55

mountains love them.

00:33:01 --> 00:33:03

Thank you for those people who are are

00:33:03 --> 00:33:06

shown the support. It's appreciated. But if you

00:33:06 --> 00:33:08

really wanna support the work, go and enroll

00:33:08 --> 00:33:09

in my school at Swiss, man. That's the

00:33:09 --> 00:33:11

best thing to do. May

00:33:11 --> 00:33:13

Allah bless you. And some of you I

00:33:13 --> 00:33:15

know already are Swiss supporters.

00:33:18 --> 00:33:19

We know that,

00:33:20 --> 00:33:21

mountain of Ohad

00:33:21 --> 00:33:23

has an incredible baraklofic,

00:33:24 --> 00:33:25

an incredible

00:33:25 --> 00:33:26

place

00:33:26 --> 00:33:27

in our history.

00:33:28 --> 00:33:29

Halas,

00:33:29 --> 00:33:31

We know that it is in the in

00:33:31 --> 00:33:33

the neighborhood neighboring areas of Medina

00:33:33 --> 00:33:35

and we know that there was an incredible

00:33:35 --> 00:33:36

battle

00:33:36 --> 00:33:37

that took place

00:33:38 --> 00:33:38

there.

00:33:39 --> 00:33:41

And we know also that there were a

00:33:41 --> 00:33:42

number of

00:33:42 --> 00:33:44

important people who were murdered there

00:33:45 --> 00:33:46

from amongst them with say, Namza

00:33:48 --> 00:33:50

And we know that on that battle on

00:33:50 --> 00:33:53

that mountain, sayin Jibril, he descended and sayin

00:33:53 --> 00:33:54

Mikael, he descended.

00:34:00 --> 00:34:01

Sayna Jibreel was on the right side of

00:34:01 --> 00:34:03

the prophet, said sayna Mikael was on the

00:34:03 --> 00:34:04

left side of the prophet.

00:34:10 --> 00:34:11

And they fought with the prophet

00:34:12 --> 00:34:12

and

00:34:14 --> 00:34:14

we know that,

00:34:15 --> 00:34:16

he saw him.

00:34:17 --> 00:34:18

He saw them.

00:34:23 --> 00:34:25

Also, there's an important lesson here from Fiqh

00:34:27 --> 00:34:29

that it is allowed to love the environment.

00:34:42 --> 00:34:45

The Uhud is a mountain that loves us

00:34:45 --> 00:34:46

and we love it.

00:34:46 --> 00:34:47

So the ulama,

00:34:48 --> 00:34:50

they said here something very nicely.

00:34:59 --> 00:35:01

That we took from this hadith, and I'm

00:35:01 --> 00:35:03

gonna give a kind of a clearer translation

00:35:04 --> 00:35:07

that it's acceptable to love and to be

00:35:07 --> 00:35:08

loved by the environment.

00:35:09 --> 00:35:10

That's why Allah said

00:35:10 --> 00:35:11

when

00:35:11 --> 00:35:13

and his armies drowned, pay attention.

00:35:18 --> 00:35:20

That when they drowned, the earth and the

00:35:20 --> 00:35:22

heavens didn't cry for them. Why?

00:35:25 --> 00:35:26

Because they weren't they weren't

00:35:29 --> 00:35:30

When Sayidna

00:35:31 --> 00:35:32

Saydna,

00:35:33 --> 00:35:35

Yunus was in the belly of the fish,

00:35:36 --> 00:35:37

and he was saying,

00:35:42 --> 00:35:44

even the fish were making thicker with him

00:35:44 --> 00:35:46

as mentioned by Saidni ibn Kathir

00:35:46 --> 00:35:47

Radi Allahu ta'ala.

00:35:48 --> 00:35:51

The prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam when he

00:35:51 --> 00:35:53

was given the Khutba in Sahib Bukhari and

00:35:53 --> 00:35:55

he stopped giving the Khutba, we know that

00:35:55 --> 00:35:57

that piece of wood begin to weep

00:35:57 --> 00:36:00

because the prophet was no longer given the

00:36:00 --> 00:36:02

on that on that stump of the tree.

00:36:06 --> 00:36:07

And we know that the prophet

00:36:09 --> 00:36:10

he said

00:36:12 --> 00:36:13

in in Mecca,

00:36:13 --> 00:36:16

the prophet he did not pass by a

00:36:16 --> 00:36:16

stone

00:36:17 --> 00:36:18

before a

00:36:19 --> 00:36:22

except the stone, sometimes he heard them say,

00:36:29 --> 00:36:31

So here and we know that Sayidna Adi

00:36:31 --> 00:36:32

Karamalallahu

00:36:33 --> 00:36:34

Wajah Amiramotminin.

00:36:35 --> 00:36:37

On more than one occasion,

00:36:37 --> 00:36:38

he heard this

00:36:39 --> 00:36:42

and another occasion in authentic hadith. He said,

00:36:42 --> 00:36:43

I saw stones

00:36:44 --> 00:36:45

in the hand of the prophet

00:36:47 --> 00:36:47

making Tasbeeh.

00:36:49 --> 00:36:51

Sallallahu alaihi wasallam.

00:36:52 --> 00:36:54

So if we need to find support

00:36:55 --> 00:36:55

for,

00:36:56 --> 00:36:59

and not being co opted by either the

00:36:59 --> 00:37:01

right or the left. We have to escape

00:37:01 --> 00:37:02

these two frameworks.

00:37:02 --> 00:37:04

We treat the environment

00:37:05 --> 00:37:06

with justice

00:37:06 --> 00:37:07

and equality

00:37:08 --> 00:37:10

because we have a relationship with him. Because

00:37:10 --> 00:37:12

all of us are the creation of Allah

00:37:12 --> 00:37:15

who subhanahu wa ta'ala. Here the prophet says

00:37:15 --> 00:37:17

mountain that we love.

00:37:23 --> 00:37:25

The next hadith, al Hadith of Robert. I'm

00:37:25 --> 00:37:27

gonna mention it quickly. The next week we'll

00:37:27 --> 00:37:30

start from here in on the 5th hadith.

00:37:30 --> 00:37:32

Next week, I'll be in New York City

00:37:32 --> 00:37:32

inshallah

00:37:33 --> 00:37:34

back to the old stomping ground,

00:37:35 --> 00:37:37

and we will continue from there inshallah.

00:37:39 --> 00:37:40

But this hadith is very important.

00:37:42 --> 00:37:42

That the prophet

00:37:43 --> 00:37:46

and this hadith is related by Sayna Imam

00:38:07 --> 00:38:09

The The prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam and what

00:38:09 --> 00:38:10

we wanna take is

00:38:10 --> 00:38:12

5 things that we should not delay.

00:38:13 --> 00:38:16

But we need we need to actually, 4

00:38:16 --> 00:38:17

things that we should not

00:38:17 --> 00:38:20

delay. But one of them, if the conditions

00:38:20 --> 00:38:22

are right, we should not delay.

00:38:26 --> 00:38:27

Bless you. Thank you so much.

00:38:29 --> 00:38:29

The prophet

00:38:36 --> 00:38:39

If somebody comes to you and his character,

00:38:42 --> 00:38:43

bless you. You guys don't have to buy

00:38:43 --> 00:38:44

badges, man, but,

00:38:45 --> 00:38:47

you know, just make dua. That's the best

00:38:47 --> 00:38:49

badge you can give. And also for those

00:38:49 --> 00:38:49

of you

00:38:50 --> 00:38:50

interested,

00:38:51 --> 00:38:53

may Allah bless you. You can enroll in

00:38:53 --> 00:38:55

my schools. $9 a month, man.

00:38:55 --> 00:38:56

Swaheebweb.com.

00:38:57 --> 00:38:59

That's gonna be something that really helps us

00:38:59 --> 00:39:01

grow. But may Allah bless you. Super appreciate

00:39:01 --> 00:39:02

it. The prophet

00:39:05 --> 00:39:06

he said if

00:39:07 --> 00:39:10

somebody comes to you and his character pleases

00:39:10 --> 00:39:13

you and his deen pleases you, then marry

00:39:13 --> 00:39:14

him.

00:39:15 --> 00:39:16

Because if you don't,

00:39:18 --> 00:39:20

evil will appear on earth

00:39:21 --> 00:39:22

an incredible corruption

00:39:24 --> 00:39:25

incredible

00:39:30 --> 00:39:31

corruption. This hadith next week, we have a

00:39:31 --> 00:39:34

lot to explain about. Like, does that mean

00:39:34 --> 00:39:36

you have to marry him? Number 2, does

00:39:36 --> 00:39:38

a woman have a right to say no?

00:39:38 --> 00:39:39

Does a woman have a right to choose

00:39:39 --> 00:39:41

her spouse? Because we see this a lot,

00:39:41 --> 00:39:41

unfortunately,

00:39:42 --> 00:39:43

in community.

00:39:44 --> 00:39:45

What are the things we should be looking

00:39:45 --> 00:39:47

for in a potential spouse?

00:39:48 --> 00:39:50

What are the steps to getting married

00:39:51 --> 00:39:52

next week?

00:39:52 --> 00:39:54

We're gonna talk about that.

00:39:56 --> 00:39:58

But the importance of this hadith is very

00:39:58 --> 00:39:58

clear.

00:40:02 --> 00:40:04

If you pay attention here, the prophet mentioned

00:40:04 --> 00:40:08

character before deen. Isn't character part of deen?

00:40:09 --> 00:40:11

Isn't character part of religion?

00:40:12 --> 00:40:14

Isn't character part of religion?

00:40:15 --> 00:40:17

Why would he mention character

00:40:18 --> 00:40:20

in isolation from religion?

00:40:21 --> 00:40:22

This is called the

00:40:26 --> 00:40:29

where you mentioned something specific and then you

00:40:29 --> 00:40:32

mentioned something general after. Like you say, Damian

00:40:32 --> 00:40:34

Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers,

00:40:35 --> 00:40:37

Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics,

00:40:38 --> 00:40:40

same kind of thing in in in English.

00:40:41 --> 00:40:43

So the one who comes to you

00:40:43 --> 00:40:44

with good character

00:40:45 --> 00:40:46

and religion

00:40:47 --> 00:40:49

as if to say the most important part

00:40:49 --> 00:40:50

of religion

00:40:51 --> 00:40:52

is character.

00:40:53 --> 00:40:57

Not to separate them, but to emphasize that

00:40:57 --> 00:40:59

one of the most important components

00:40:59 --> 00:41:00

of deen

00:41:01 --> 00:41:01

is character.

00:41:03 --> 00:41:04

This is called.

00:41:09 --> 00:41:10

Next week, we'll continue.

00:41:13 --> 00:41:15

This hadith of the prophet

00:41:23 --> 00:41:24

We ask Allah

00:41:28 --> 00:41:30

who every Saturday night inshallah around this time,

00:41:30 --> 00:41:31

11 eastern.

00:41:32 --> 00:41:34

We're gonna continue till we finish this entire

00:41:34 --> 00:41:34

text

00:41:35 --> 00:41:36

from my teacher's teacher

00:41:37 --> 00:41:39

on character. We have to work on character.

00:41:40 --> 00:41:40

Abdullah

00:41:41 --> 00:41:43

said we are a community who needs a

00:41:43 --> 00:41:44

little character more than a lot of knowledge.

00:41:45 --> 00:41:46

We are a

00:41:46 --> 00:41:49

a a community who needs a little character

00:41:49 --> 00:41:51

more than a lot of knowledge. It doesn't

00:41:51 --> 00:41:53

mean we have to be perfect. Doesn't mean

00:41:53 --> 00:41:55

we have to be like angelic. Of course

00:41:55 --> 00:41:57

not. But we try

00:41:57 --> 00:41:58

to get better.

00:42:01 --> 00:42:04

Next week also, we'll take questions and answers.

00:42:08 --> 00:42:10

I'll share this. Some people asking,

00:42:10 --> 00:42:11

immediately,

00:42:12 --> 00:42:13

on the Instagram page.

00:42:16 --> 00:42:17

And also let me post,

00:42:18 --> 00:42:20

the other hadith so you can see it,

00:42:21 --> 00:42:22

and also people can,

00:42:23 --> 00:42:24

see it.

00:42:34 --> 00:42:35

Another narration

00:42:46 --> 00:42:48

Inshallah, next week, we'll continue to read this

00:42:48 --> 00:42:51

hadith and explain some important issues related to

00:42:51 --> 00:42:53

it regarding marriage.
