Suhaib Webb – He Finished The Quran Daily

Years ago I met this man he was

80 years old he was a sheikh in

Kuwait he was an as hari sheikh and

at that time I was struggling to memorize

the Quran

and I developed a relationship with him Sheikh

Mahmoud Eid in a place called Al Mugamma

which is in Kuwait. He was the imam

in that masjid in that mall and he

told me at that time he's 80 years

old he said I wanna tell you something

that you can't tell people until I'm dead

that was over 25 years ago. I said

what he said I do khatam of the

Quran every day

every day in his eighties I said how?

He said my wife is gone My children

live

elsewhere. I can't go back to Egypt. I'm

in here Kuwait where the people have welcomed

me with open arms. I have all this

time on my hands.

And since I'm over 80, listen to what

he said.

I don't want I don't know what day

I'm gonna die.

So I wanna die on a day that

I complete the Quran.

The day I die, the day I meet

Allah,

I wanna complete the reading of the Quran.

Sheikh Mahmoud Eid is the inspiration.
