Welcome back to Sanitation of the Soul. And
now we're going to move from contemplation to
remembrance. Remembrance is the fruit
of contemplation.
He says,
Right? That constantly being in the state of
contemplation and
constantly being in the state of remembrance.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, he praises the people
who remember him in the Quran, and he
encourages not to be of those who neglect
him. He
says,
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala in the 9th and
10th verse of Sholom Munafiyaqun,
He says, do not allow
your wealth and your children to take you
away from Allah's remembrance.' Most 'ulamasid here means
salah.
Salah. Don't allow those things to take us
away from prayer.
Allah says,
This is one of the few instances in
the Qur'an where Allah mentions both genders, because
usually one gender in Arabic, it means both
men and women.
But because the act is so important,
and because both
are
responsible for the act, he mentions men and
women.
Men who remember Allah abundantly
and women who remember Allah
This is the 33rd chapter of the Quran,
verse 35. And Allah mentions that
remembering him
and remembering his his blessings and remembering good
things is the way to center and settle
our heart.
Allah says, Those who believe in their hearts
find rest and tranquility with the remembrance of
Allah.
Indeed it is with Allah's remembrance that the
hearts find rest.
And the and the prophet, sallallahu alaihi wasallam,
he mentions in the famous hadith of the
prophet, salallahu alaihi wasallam, who says that Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says,
I
am to my servant as he or she
assumes I am to be,
and I am with him or her whenever
they remember me.
And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says in the
Quran, of course.
Now, in our class on the supplications of
Islam, you're gonna find a large section there
on the virtues of dhikr
and remembering Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. And maybe
you're asking, how do I make dhikr? That's
why I made that class. I made that
class to support this right here.
That's why I did it, and still not
done. There's around a 100 and something 60
or 70 hadith left.
But,
again, Allah give us to finish. But you
wanna go there and watch those first few
where I talk about the virtues,
and the blessings and the importance,
of remembering,
Allah There is a quote
here somewhere
that I had written down,
that I had marked,
that I wanted to share with you
on the importance of
remembering Allah
Not sure where I put it, but
get to it, in the future. But
you want to be engaged in remembering Allah
You know, a 1000 a 100 times a
day, 200 times a day, We
talk about it in the first,
class here. Right?
That, you know,
Right? The best thing that I and the
prophets before me,
nam. So Alhamdulillah the next quality is to
be abundantly
engaged
in the remembrance of Allah
And again, that that those first few lessons
on
the supplications of Islam are gonna provide,
adequate
information for you there on that subject as
well as walk through how to do certain
dhikrs
and how to be engaged in dhikr,
So you can see, sort of, how Swiss
kind of supports itself, and how we really
have been deliberate in creating this this pedagogical
framework for you,
InshaAllah.
That takes us now, Alhamdulillah,
to the next part where he says, Mujtani
banisayiril
and this is the last component of this,
the ingredients of mujahada.
Right?
Right?
So, what does he say? Work hard. How?
Pray at night.
Contemplation.
Remembrance.
To avoid
sin.
To avoid
sin.
To avoid the forbidden. The prophet
said,
What I have told you to stay away
from,
stay away from it.
Avoid it.
And there's one more also,
but that's the next is is to avoid
sin. And in there's a great quote, and
it's in the hiccup,
also which we teach here at Swiss
of the imam, ibn Atta'ala Skandri,
or Rahimuallahu
ta'ala
who talks about, you know,
the heart and the heart's relationship,
to Allah
And and how can the heart move to
Allah if it's
if it's if it's captured by sin?
So avoiding sin. And how do we know
what is sinful behavior?
Filk.
The role of filk is to tell us
what is sinful behavior. Not tasolov.
Tasolov is guided by filk,
because tasauwuf is really the science of zok,
the science of a feeling.
That's where sometimes people get confused and they
get misguided,
and they follow,
you know, people that may be of dubious
character because the fiqh is taken away as
we're gonna talk about,
shortly. What are the qualities of kind of
the people that we wanna be taking this
kind of knowledge from. Alhamdulillah. So the sheikh,
he says, the next after that,
So after,
fiqr,
and dhikr,
and avoiding sin is muraqabah. The word 'murakaba'
is from the word 'rukuba', which is a
woman who lost all her children except one.
That woman won't let anyone hold her child.
She's extremely careful. The word 'murakaba' is translated
as
mindfulness.
So, the idea here is that I have
that passion in my relationship with Allah, like
that lady has with that only child.
I look at it with that kind of
caution and that kind of care. So the
Sheikh, he says,
because that
is gonna cause someone to ascend
to states of completion and wholeness.
And in order to do to do that
marakaba,
you know, we have to have teachers, man.
We have to have people,
that we take knowledge from. And here he's
talking about specifically the knowledge of tesulaf. Right?
Here, we're just teaching texts about tesulaf. I
am by no means,
a guide or I don't I I I
need that. I I can't give that. But
the sheikh, he mentioned some of the qualities
of people that we should look for if
we're going to, you know, have people help
us work on our spiritual states. Number 1,
That that person first and foremost understands what
are the obligations
as defined by Sharia,
the halal, and the Haram.
The second,
that person knows Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. How
do you know that? How they live their
life, how they talk, what do they say?
That they are in a state of gratitude,
recognizing the blessings and mercies of Allah. Number
3,
And that the person is is aware and
knowledgeable
of tasawaf.
Right? Sunni orthodox tasawaf. Like our book, Imam
Suyuti, the foundations of orthodox to soul
wolf.
Again, that goes under the idea of having
that,
Sharia based knowledge. And the 4th
and says, and that the person has taken
that knowledge from a sheikh from a sheikh
from a sheikh from a sheikh back to
say no Muhammad
Now,
congratulations. We have finished
the text. Alhamdulillah,
level 1. Congratulations.
And, of course, the the the text that
we're preparing for you is gonna have much
more details in these lessons.
But let's finish with the Du'a of Sheikh
Ahmed Dardir. We ask Allah Subhata'ala, yataqaba mina
wumkumasha Allah. Congratulations.
He
says,
and say and pray in humility, my Lord,
do not cut me off. And
from you, from Allah. Biqaatiin,
anything that would cut me away from you.
Those aghiyar that we talked about?
And do not prohibit me
from your this is interesting. He's playing in
the language. Sir Abha. Abha means something which
is bright and illuminating, and seer is a
secret. So your illuminated secret.
Like, how many people would have noticed something
that's illuminated, but it's a secret because only
those who Allah has opened their hearts and
their minds can see it, which is La
Illaha illallah Muhammad Rasoolah, to be guided.
Al Muziri lillama.
Right? And that illuminated secret removes the blindness
of the hearts.
And allow us to have the best ending.
It could be in reference to this book.
It could be in reference to the end
of our life, or
both. So give us good endings in all
we do.
Oh the most merciful of those who have
mercy.
And praise be to Allah for all that
he's allowed us to complete.
Like this text. Well, I'll tell you a
story. I actually recorded all this before,
and the microphone didn't work. So I had
to go back and record it again.
You know, like Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala allowed
us to complete it. You Arab. InshaAllah.
Wa'afdarulsurati
was salami. And the best choice, peace and
blessings upon upon the Hashemite
prophet, the
seal. Wa'adihi,
his
family
and his noble companions.
Now you want to go to level 2
and start theology,
the mass's creed. Then you want to take
fiqh, level 2. Then you want to take
ihsen,
level 2. And that's how, if you're engaged
in this core curriculum at Swiss,
you're going to find
yourself going through each course, 1 by 1,
in each level, as we go through this
incredible journey together.
