Many people have this idea that dua is only for when you have

cancer when you're about to die, if you've had a car accident, and

many people will not ever, ever make dua until something terrible

happens. So that's the first misconception. And in fact, it's

quite the opposite. Dua is for every little need that you have.

And you shouldn't imagine that dua is only for major things. The

description of someone who is in dire need the dua of the one who's

in dire need. So they asked, well, what is dire need? The answer is

even a prick and you want that pain to go away. You touch the

thorn and you want the pain to go in it. That's a dire need. So a

dire need in the field in the context of supplication and prayer

to Allah. The bar is very low, unlike the dire need and Islamic

law which is life and death.
