Shadee Elmasry – What is Ijazah

Ejazza basically is permission. It is something that

connects the individual. It's like a chain. Like,

you know, we have the chain in hadith.

It's the same type of thing. Our ijazah

system connects us back to the prophet sallallahu

alaihi wa sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. So it's

stuff that's been checked cause everybody says, well,

you know, if you say one thing in

the ear of 1 guy, by the time

it gets to the the 50th person, it's

changed.

No. Not in the JASA system.

So there's no ambiguity, there's no guessing, there's

no vagueness or oh, I thought or maybe

no. I checked it, I affirmed it and

I gave him permission

And now he's in the chain with me

to the chain of the person that came

before me to the person that came before

them, then them, then them, then them, then

them, then them, then them, then them, inshallah,

all the way back to the prophet Muhammad.
