Shadee Elmasry – Islam in Europe

			It's now the year 21100. Now nobody knows
		

			the future, but we could forecast.
		

			Is there a significant mass of native British
		

			Muslims
		

			such as yourself? Yeah. I I think, Islam
		

			will be the only monotheistic
		

			presence left in Europe.
		

			By that, I mean, out of all the
		

			Abrahamic faiths, Christianity,
		

			Judaism, obviously, which is a tiny, tiny faith
		

			anyway, these are all in radical
		

			terminal decline in the west. I say that
		

			with no happiness. We want some counterpoint to,
		

			militant liberal secularism,
		

			but Islam will be left on its own,
		

			I think, to bear witness to Tawhid,
		

			to the prophets, to Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Mohammed,
		

			peace be upon them all, an uncompromised, undiluted
		

			faith. And it would be the only one
		

			left. It would be, I think, the inevitable
		

			go to religion when people want a tradition
		

			which is rooted in the prophets, rooted in
		

			history, rooted in revelation. I think the prospect
		

			of Islam in in Europe is very, very
		

			promising, actually.
