Shadee Elmasry – Dreams DO NOT Override Sharia

Speculative thing, like a dream, a vision, will never override the

Sharia. That's why our spirituality has sanity to it, and

our spirituality has tracks. We're on. These tracks, the way to

behave is determined by verifiable sources, not by Shaykh. Had a

dream. I had a dream. We believe in dreams, but once you misuse

them, then it's misguidance. It doesn't compromise the Sharia

ever. It's like my Sheik used to tell me in Maliki, we love

arsuyuk, but we don't go misguided. It doesn't compromise

the Sharia ever. And he said, for example, in teaching uprightness

to the parents, he said that if my Sheik came in the room and my mom

came from the opposite direction, I would turn my back to the sheik

and go to my mom, because that's what the shadiya says, not going

to go by anything else.
