Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says in the
Qur'an that those who do even an
atom of good deed, Allah sees it.
And Allah also says that if my servant
asks of me, where am I?
Asks where is Allah?
Then tell them that I am near, I
hear their dua, I hear when they call
on me.
So let them call on me and let
them believe in me.
The belief being that Allah can hear you.
Let them believe in me, they will be
given rushd, they will be given glory, they
will be elevated and the like.
Ibadallah, I know that many in our community,
many Muslims are feeling the fatigue after watching
11 months of genocide.
Everybody is feeling the fatigue in terms of
mobilizing and moving and raising their voices and
calling to haq, calling to justice, calling to
what is right, calling to that which the
Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam advocated in that
the Muslim should always be the one who
stands up for the oppressed.
Ibadallah, many are feeling the fatigue and the
tiredness and many perhaps are starting to feel
the same sentiments that Nuh alayhi sallam felt
when he said, Many
of you might be feeling like Nuh alayhi
sallam who said, Allahumma, I've called on my
people day and night.
I call on them to what's right day
and night.
And every time I call on them, they
merely run away from me.
They put their fingers in their ears.
They cover their faces.
They don't want to see the truth.
And they treat me with arrogance.
They treat me as if my message is
not valid.
Some of you might be feeling like Lut
alayhi sallam.
Lut alayhi sallam said to his people or
lamented, almost lamented and said, If only I
had power or a powerful ally to resist
you, to resist your oppression, to resist what
is happening in this injustice that you are
embarking on.
Ibadallah, the reason Allah says in the Quran,
that indeed in this book, we tell you
the best of stories, stories that before you
were ignorant of.
Allah tells you these stories for a reason.
It's to tell you that what you feel
has been felt before.
What you're going through has happened before.
Those who went on the path of justice,
people before you also went on the path
of justice.
So listen to these stories, Ibadallah.
So you might know what it feels like.
You might know that that feeling in your
heart when you feel shaken.
When Allah says, Allah
says in the Quran, when he narrates the
story of the prophets going through the struggles,
that they got to a point, We're not
talking about just a small decrease in profit.
We're talking about when they were tested, with
tests that led harm on them.
With tests that they really had to contend
and struggle with.
Tests that we don't have to deal with
here when we are raising our voices.
Allah says they were shaken until the prophet
and his companion said, And
Ibadallah,
do not lose hope.
Be patient for
the promise of Allah is true.
And it's this patience aspect that we must
persevere.
Patience does not mean you wait for something
to happen.
Patience means that when you do something, you
persevere believing that even if it doesn't produce
the outcome you want, even if it's not
producing the outcome at the pace that you
want, you persevere on the basis that if
you keep going, Allah will open it for
you.
And how can it be otherwise?
When Allah said in the Qur'an about
da'wa ya Ibadallah, when he says, وَمَنْ
Is there any better
speech the one who calls to Allah, does
good deeds and says, I am from the
Muslimin.
But look what da'wa feels like ya
Ibadallah.
Look how Allah tells you to expect da
'wa to feel like.
Allah tells you what da'wa feels like
in the following ayah,
The good deed and the bad deed
are not equal.
Why when I'm giving da'wa Allah is
talking to me about the bad deeds?
Because when you say what is true, when
you say what is haq, there is always
a backlash ya Ibadallah.
But Allah tells you the good deed and
the bad deed are not equal.
Keep doing the good deed,
Push back with that which is best,
don't buckle and use those horrible tactics.
Stay on the truth, stay with the correct
tactics.
Stay with raising your voice for haq, stay
with the boycott, stay with that which is
good ya Ibadallah.
Why?
Because Allah says,
If you continue in this
way, the one who is your enemy today
Allah says, not neutral, the one who is
your enemy today, not the one who makes
you feel good, the one who is your
enemy today, tomorrow can become your warmest ally.
Not just wali in terms of
somebody who is your ally, hamim, the warm,
a very close companion, a close ally.
But Allah says, when He describes who achieves
it, He says, وَمَا يُلَقَّاهَا None will achieve
Except those who are
patient.
Patient in what ya Ibadallah?
Allah has said in this ayah, patience in
the da'wah, patience in the movement, patience
in the mobilization, patience in going out and
doing something, patience in going out and saying
something, going out and saying,
This is wrong, it needs to change.
This society needs to change.
Justice needs to be upheld.
Allah says, for those who are patient in
this regard, not the mutaqa'i deen, those
who sit at home.
Those who are patient when they are out
there, when they are going there, when they
are like sahaba who knew the merits of
dying in Medina, but only a minority were
buried in Medina because their interpretation of Islam
was to go out, was to raise the
voice out, was to spread the deen out,
was to go and exert their efforts out.
That was their interpretation because they knew if
they were patient in going out, not patient
in staying in.
If they were patient in raising their voices,
continuing, Allah says that the enemy will become
like the warmest ally.
And none
achieve it, except those who are truly blessed.
Meaning that Allah intervenes to make it happen.
You might think, how on earth is this
enemy going to become Muslim?
How on earth will they come wali and
hameem?
Allah says,
Even if you can't see it, Allah will
make it happen.
Even if you can't see it, Allah will
make it happen.
Even if you can't see it, Allah will
make it happen.
And that's why Allah said,
Why is it when Allah talks about the
victory, when people enter Islam in waves, why
does He say, سَبِّحُ, praise Him, and make
istighfar?
Why make istighfar when the victory has come?
It's istighfar for the moments you doubted.
It's istighfar when you thought it couldn't happen.
It's istighfar when you thought Allah wouldn't deliver
the victory.
It's istighfar when you suddenly had that, you
were shaken until you said, I see no
hope for Gaza.
I see no hope for the world.
I see no hope for America.
I see no hope for Europe.
It's for those moments make istighfar.
Allah will accept the repentance
for the moments of doubt.
The promise of Allah is true.
Move, Ya Ibadallah.
Keep moving.
Keep raising your voices.
Keep speaking the haq.
Keep speaking what is just.
For Allah's promise is coming.
Don't be the one when the promise comes,
you say, لَيْتَنِي, I did something, if only
I did something.
Alhamdulillah.
Alhamdulillah.
Praise be to Allah who
elevated those who strive, those who raise their
voices, those who do something, Ya Ibadallah, those
who seek to put themselves on the path
of justice, those who do not tire at
the word of justice, those who do not
tire of da'wah, those who do not
feel fatigue over 11 months, they persevere with
Rasulullah ﷺ for 13 years in Mecca and
they follow him to Medina afterwards when they
are kicked out of Mecca.
Praise be to Allah those who have the
perseverance and the patience to keep going even
when people say, what is the point?
Even when people say there is no hope,
even when people say this is useless, they
keep going because they believe in the promise
of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and they
want to be vehicles that Allah uses and
they recognize that it's not Muslims that made
Islam great, it is Islam that made Muslims
great.
It is not Muslims that make Allah great.
It is Allah who made the Muslims great.
It is Allah who bestows His favors.
We do no favor for Allah.
