Salim Morsy – ATIC Friday Sermon and Prayer 6192020

Dear brothers and sisters,

I would like to ask a question

for ourselves,

and we will be able to answer the

questions later on.

I will ask why we pray,

why we have to pray,

and what is the significance

of prayers.

Really, I would like for every single

brothers and sister to recognize

and to

maximizing

prayer.

Because the prayer, it's very important

that Allah

mention in the Quran.

So many verses.

Don't feel lonely

when you

pray by yourself,

when you struggle hard to perform a prayer.

You have to feel that all the creatures

and all the creations

are

doing

the same thing here that you will do

for the sake of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

Allah says in the Quran,

The heavens the 7 heavens and the earth,

and whatever

is

therein.

Glorifying Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

But

we do not understand

the way that they glorified Allah

And this is what we need to understand.

The salah,

it's very important.

This is why Allah subhanahu ta'ala obligated

all the messengers and the prophets

before our beloved prophet Muhammad salawalahu alaihi wa

sallam with the salah.

Musa alaihi salam kalimullah.

The one who was talking with Allah without

mediator.

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala commanded him,

fa'abudini

wa aqimu salatali decree. The first command for

Prophet Moses

to worship me, oh Allah,

and to

establish a prayer and perform a prayer to

mention Allah's name.

And after that, when Allah commanded Musa to

tell his followers,

Make your houses as a directions

for a prayer and pray

at your home.

But you have to establish a prayer. You

have to

start a prayer.

Even the magicians of pharaoh,

when they recognize that they were wrong,

and they

try to

find excuse for themselves in front of Allah.

The first action that they did,

they frustrated themselves to Allah azzawajal.

SubhanAllah.

And our scholars explain that Allah

inspire

them. Inspired them to make sujud

because

the sujud is very important

for believers.

And even for Isa alaihis salam.

And Allah obligated me. Allah

advised me to perform a prayer and to

give Zakah as long as I'm I'm alive.

And even Ibrahim alaihis salam, when he took

his family

to the place

near to Makkah, near to Kaaba, and nothing

was there.

And he mentioned

the purpose of that,

And all the messengers, we don't have time

to to mention all the messengers that Allah

Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala mention prayers

into them. But just I would like to

give you a hint.

This is what we have for the life

stream,

for the new series that we started, alhamdulillah,

last week.

You know, maximizing

prayers and the significance

of prayers,

the importance of prayer, why we have to

pray.

You are not alone.

You are

within the whole circle that Allah subhanahu wa

ta'ala created

to worship him, and to glorify him and

to prostrate

themselves

to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. Just I will

give you a hint.

When prophet Muhammad saasalam went in journey night,

and when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala elevated him

into

heavens, and he saw

different kind of angels.

1st kind, they were standing worshiping Allah Subhanahu

Wa Ta'ala. 2nd kind of angels, there there

were bowing,

bowing to Allah a. And 3rd kind, they

were frustrating themselves.

And prophet Muhammad was

amazed

with this different actions.

And Allah gather all these actions for him

in one rakah of the salah. We stand

to recite Quran, then when we bow

to glorify Allah, then we frustrate

ourselves

to glorify Allah subhanahu ta'ala.

To act as angels.

And also, Allah subhanahu ta'ala differentiating

between

obedience and disobedience

by sudud.

Why sudud?

We can't testify or we can't say a

word. No. No. By sudud, the actual sudud.

And Allah command all angels to bow to

our forefather Adam. And all of them,

they frustrated

themselves

except 1, Satan, shaitan.

And the one who choose to pray, he

will be among

angels. He will act as angels. And who

Whosoever

choose to refuse

and not to pray, he will be among

the satan's

group.

And this is what I would like to

highlight today.

The first word was revealed to prophet Muhammad,

salsallam, Iqra

in Surat Al Adak.

And this is why we requirement

we why we required

when we start the prayer, we have to

recite.

The most important

dhikr during salah is reciting Quran.

And the most important

action during salah is sujood.

And this is why Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

started the surah.

And Allah end up the surah.

I hope that the message

is clear for all of us. Don't feel

lonely when you pray, when you choose to

pray because everything around you praying for the

sake of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

Glorifying

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. And be among all

the creatures and the creations.

May Allah subhanahu ta'ala help all of us

out

to be among the one who choose to

bow and to prostrate themselves

for the sake of Allah.

Allahu

just to,

explain for my brothers and sisters,

it's

obligatory,

but

we still have the pandemic. We still have

the quarantine.

Still,

they did not open 100%.

If you feel you are not able to

go to the Masjid and you pray at

home or pray at your work as a

prayer,

you will be rewarded.

Just,

You will be rewarded according to your intention.

Some people will say,

the Masjid is closed. Yeah. Let us pray

at the, at the house. No. It's at

at depend on your intention.

You wish to come to the Masjid, and

you're really

excited to come to the Masjid,

but something comes out comes, out and you

are not able to do the Masjid,

pray home, pray at your work,

especially for this time that we the present

time that we have. Maybe

by the end of June, we we will

have, you know, the complete

open

For the brothers,

just from the end, the last line, you

can go all the way from the other

emergency door over, and the rest of the

brother remain seated, please. And the first line

from here, go out the Masjid, and you

will pray sunnah at home Insha Allah. Please

just

give chance, you know, to to follow the

rules and to follow follow the regulations from

the state, and

we have maybe 50%

now. We hope to have a 100% later

on not to make any trouble and to

shut down the Masjid completely.

And it's high recommended for our sisters. Please,

sisters who is,

listening to me now,

Jumah prayer, it's not obligatory

upon

you for sisters.

The good idea to pray home

and give a chance. You need your spot

at the Masjid for your brother or your

husband or for your son. Give them reward.

Encourage them to come to the Masjid. But

for you for you, oh my sisters,

pray home and Allah will give you complete

reward inshallah

And it's easy way to listen to the

and you will donate your spot at the

Masjid

for your brothers in in Islam.

Oh brothers, you can go take your shoes

and go from this door because the second

line waiting for you.

Yep. Jazakumullah

May Allah

gather all of us in this life

with his obedience and hereafter

with our beloved prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
